#because I see a lot of adults trying to blame minors

Despite Danny's best efforts, no matter how much time past, Amity Park refused to see Phantom as a hero.
Sure, there were pockets of support, particularly among teens, but most of the town blames Phantom for the property damage, saying if he didn't fight the ghosts then it wouldn't be so bad, to that time he got mind controlled by Freakshow and "attacked" the mayor. It wears him down. It wears Tucker and Sam down. Jazz can only try to support them all.
Then one day, a member of the Justice League visits. Someone minor, and kinda a jerk... maybe a Wonder Twin? Zan? Whatever. They don't investigate; they don't look deeper. They listen to the town folks and declare the ghost hunters, Red Huntress and the Fentons, to be the official heroes of the town.
Worse? Danny Phantom is officially considered a villain to the Justice League. Tuck hacks into the Watchtower and confirms that they have a file (a heavily inaccurate file) about how to defeat Phantom.
Danny doesn't think he can do this anymore.
A few weeks later, a young villain escapes into Amity and demands (begs) that Danny help them escape from the hero after them. No idea who, I can't find a lot of info on teen villains in DC, so let's fudge some ages and make it Kyd Wyckyd from the Teen Titans cartoon. Danny agrees, because to hell with the Justice Losers, and they defeat the hero, becoming friends in the process. Kyd confesses that they became a villain after being ostracized bc of how they look, and they've been trying to avoid villain organizations because HIVE was abusive, but it's really hard to be a villain alone bc of all the heroes.
Sam gets an idea. Tucker agrees with the idea. Jazz is just happy they'll end up making friends.
The next day, the Teen Villain Alliance is formed, ready to assist with any teenage illegal shenanigans their allies might get into.
Some notes:
It's created to be a healthier option for teen "villains" to connect with others and support each other.
It's more important that this is for Teens rather than Villains. They're tired of adult villains taking advantage of them. The TVA would rather ally with a teen vigilante than with an adult villain.
Again, no idea who the teen villains are, but Klarion is definitely here. He leaves the Light for the chaos of the TVA. Maybe Ember is there too?
Timeline wise, this is around when Tim is still Robin, but Damien has arrived at Wayne Manor.
This is because, when it comes time to try to infiltrate the TVA, they'll have a convenient child-assassin who has none of the monitors of a teen hero that Phantom immediately picks up on.
Damien, who at this point has been abandoned by his mother, dismissed and scolded by his father, and has had no success at carving his own place in the family, jumps at the chance. He is then surrounded by peers who don't insult him or try to change his behavior (too much; jazz is trying to help him find healthier methods of expressing himself). He... might not want to continue being a spy.
Danny, Sam, Tuck, and Jazz are the founding members.
Danny reinvents himself as the High Prince of the Infinite, Prince Phantom Dark. He got kingship from fighting Pariah Dark, but since he's still alive, he's only a prince. He steals the last name Dark as an intimidation tatic against those in the know; only Danny would have the balls to claim family with Pariah.
Sam works as a powerless villain, but she might no be powerless? Either way, Danny gives her a bunch of repurposed Fenton tech, and she buys the rest with her parents credit card. She does NOT care if that's traced back to the Mansons. She would choose something goth, maybe something spider related or even bat?
I love Pharaoh Tucker, so I think he should get magic powers? Since pharaohs of old were considered the balance between the real and the divine. He's still a tech guy, now he's a tech and magic guy.
Jazz isn't really a villain, more of a team mom who's planning on using everyone's psyche's as her thesis paper. You know what, that's her callsign, she's Psyche. Sometimes she flirts with Nightwing.

I read this week that Instagram is pushing “overtly sexual adult videos” to young users. For a Wall Street Journal investigation, journalists created accounts that could belong to children, following young gymnasts, cheerleaders and influencers. The test accounts were soon served sexual and disturbing content on Instagram Reels, alongside ads for dating apps, livestream platforms with “adult nudity” and AI chatbots “built for cybersex”. Some were next to ads for kids’ brands like Disney.
This is something I’ve been trying to get across to parents about social media. The problem is not just porn sites. They are of course a massive concern. Kids as young as nine are addicted. The average age to discover porn is now 13, for boys and girls. And many in my generation are now realising just how much being raised on porn affected them, believing it “destroyed their brain” and distorted their view of sex.
But the problem is bigger than that. Porn is everywhere now. TikTok is serving up sex videos to minors and promoting sites like OnlyFans. The gaming platform Twitch is exposing kids to explicit live-streams. Ads for “AI sex workers” are all over Instagram, some featuring kids’ TV characters like SpongeBob and the Cookie Monster. And there’s also this sort of “soft-porn” now that pervades everything. Pretty much every category of content that kids could stumble across, from beauty trends to TikTok dances to fitness pages, is now pornified or sexualised in some way for clicks.
I think this does a lot of damage to Gen Z. I think it desensitises us to sex. I think it can ruin relationships. But beyond that, I also believe a major problem with everything being pornified is the pressure it puts on young girls to pornify themselves. To fit the sex doll beauty standard; to seek validation through self-sexualisation, and potentially monetise all this like the influencers they’re inundated with.
Which, of course, puts girls at risk of predators. Predators who are all over TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat. Predators whose algorithms helpfully deliver them more content of minors and steer them towards kids’ profiles. Predators who are taking TikToks of underage girls and putting them on platforms like Pornhub.
And this is even more terrifying because adolescent girls are especially vulnerable today. They are vulnerable anyway at that age—but today they have far less life experience than previous generations of girls did. They are extremely insecure and anxious, and much less resilient. Combine this with the fact that they are now more easily exposed to predatory men than ever before in history, and served to strangers by algorithms. And another thing: girls are also able to look way older now. They have AI editing apps to sexualise themselves. TikTok filters to pornify their bodies. And access to every kind of make-up and hair and fashion tutorial you can think of to look sexier and more mature. I don’t think enough parents realise how dangerous this situation is.
Which is why I find it so frustrating to see some progressives downplay the dangers of all this. Those that dismiss anyone concerned about the pornification of everything as a stuffy conservative. And somehow can’t see how the continual loosening of sexual norms might actually empower predatory men, and put pressure on vulnerable girls? That seems delusional to me.
Let’s just say I have little patience for those on the left who loudly celebrate women sexualising themselves online, selling it as fun, feminist and risk-free, but are then horrified to hear about 12 year-olds doing the same thing. C’mon. No wonder they want to.
But I also find it frustrating to see some on the right approach this with what seems like a complete lack of compassion. I don’t think it helps to relentlessly ridicule and blame young women for sexualising themselves online. I don’t think it’s fair either. We can’t give girls Instagram at 12 and then be surprised when as young women they base their self-worth on the approval of strangers. We can’t inundate kids with sexual content all the time and be shocked when they don’t see sex as sacred, or think sex work is just work! We can’t give them platforms as pre-teens where they are rewarded for sexualising themselves and presenting themselves like products and then shame them for starting an OnlyFans. We can’t expose them to online worlds where everything is sexualised and then be confused why some of Gen Z see their sexuality as their entire identity.
And again, on top of these platforms, girls are growing up in a culture that celebrates all of this. They are being raised to believe that they must be liberated from every restraint around sex and relationships to be free and happy, and many have never heard any different. Celebrities encourage them to be a slut, get naked, make/watch porn and make money! Mainstream magazines teach them how to up their nude selfie game! Influencers tell millions of young followers to start an OnlyFans, and pretend it’s about empowering young girls to do whatever they want with their bodies! I can’t say this enough: their world is one where the commodification and sexualisation the self is so normalised. It’s heartbreaking. And cruel that anyone celebrates it.
So sure, young women make their own choices. But when we have children sexualising themselves online, when girls as young as 13 are using fake IDs to post explicit content on OnlyFans, when a third of those selling nudes on Twitter are under the age of 18, I think it’s safe to say we are failing them from an early age.
I guess what I’m trying to get across is this: it’s tough for girls right now. It’s tough to be twelve and anxious and feel unattractive and this is how everyone else is getting attention. It’s tough to constantly compare yourself to the hyper-sexualised influencers that the boys you’re interested in are liking and following and thinking you have to compete. It’s tough to feel like the choice is sexualise yourself or nobody will notice you. The sad reality is we live in a superficial, pornified culture that rewards this stuff, and in many ways punishes you if you’re modest and sensitive and reserved, and a lot of girls are just trying to keep up with it.
We need serious cultural change. We need to wake up to how insane this all is, how utterly mental it is that we allow young girls anywhere near social media, and how we’ve let the liberalising of sexual mores escalate to the point where pre-teens are posing like porn stars and are lied to that it’s liberation. And where we need to start is with an absolute refusal from parents to let their kids on these platforms.
So please. If the relentless social comparison and obliteration of their attention span and confusion about their identity wasn’t enough, this has to be. Don’t let your daughters on social media.

Morning Errands | Sebastian SDV — Married Life 🔞
MINORS DO NOT INTERACT
Pairing: Sebastian (SDV) x afab!reader
Summary: You need Sebastian's help with beginning-of-season errands. If only there was a way you could "wake him up".
Tags: Husband!Sebastian, Smut, established relationship, detailed descriptions of sex, a dash of fluff. NSFW Tags below the cut.
Word Count: 2,900 (I did it, a fic under 5,000 words lol) A/N: Fun Fact — this idea started as a non-SDV related adult animation concept I was in early development of. I unfortunately do not have a lot of time for animating things anymore, so it's definitely more feasible to write it down. PLUS, I just love quickly shooting these stories out — better spat out here than rotting in my brain!!
It was really fun to rewrite it to fit the Stardew Valley world; I think it just gives me so much more to work with. Especially when it comes to writing about the world in detail. (and I get to feed my Sebastian brainworms <33) Hope you enjoy the read xoxo

NSFW Tags: morning sex, foreplay (dry humping), some dirty talk (mostly teasing), oral (male receiving), overstimulation, creampie

"Seb? Seeeeebb, it's 6:40," you say softly with a gentle shake of his arm, "we gotta get going." Still unwilling to move from his comfortable spot on the bed, Sebastian stifles a sleepy groan in response. It's always been hard to wake him up — that's something you knew even before you married him. Working freelance comes with the blessing and curse of setting your own work schedule, which means late night cramming sessions are a normal occurrence. You don't really blame him for wanting to sleep in, but today, he promised to help you with your ever-growing list of morning chores.
You run your fingers through his hair, lightly brushing the dark strands off his cheek with the back of your fingers. He just looks so peaceful when he's asleep; it's really such a shame to wake him up like this. Especially when he wraps his arm around you to cuddle against your thigh. It's almost tempting to sink yourself back into his arms and shut the whole world away under the protection of your shared bed covers. Almost — but you know better than to underestimate your beginning-of-season errands. It doesn't help that you also agreed to host a family dinner with Robin and Demetrius this evening. So much to do, so little time. In hindsight, you wish you planned this all a little better.
With a little more force this time, you try to shake him awake. "Mmph… just a few more minutes…" he mumbles while releasing his arms from your thigh, now lying on his back. At least he's able to get a few words out. That's a good sign, you think to yourself. You head toward your bathroom, hoping that by the time you're done brushing your teeth he'll be sitting upright. Maybe.
A soft, cool breeze enters the small opening of your window as you pass through the hallway. It's remarkable how quickly the seasons change in the valley. From your view in the bathroom, you can catch a glimpse of your summer crops, now reduced to wilted clumps in the soil. You'll definitely need Seb's help with this today. You take a little extra time to brush your teeth and wash your face, trying to buy him time to get up. He's gotta be awake by now, right?
You're not surprised to see him still splayed on the bed, eyes just barely fluttering at the sound of your footsteps entering the room. "Seb, it's almost 7 now. I really need your help," you plead sweetly, hoping the cute tone you've adopted would prompt him to move with more haste. He just smiles and offers a curt, "Mhm," in response, eyes still shut. Wow, he's really out of it, huh? You might need to switch strategies.
If you married Sebastian knowing that he's not exactly a morning person, he should also count on the fact that you're always up for a little bit of mischief — because now, you've got a plan that's basically foolproof. Creeping up to the bed, you slowly plant a knee on each side of his body to gently straddle his lap. With your chest pressed against his, you place kisses on his face. "Sebby, come on" you whisper tenderly into his ear, "you can get up for me, can't you?" He lets out an amused huff out of his nose and wraps an arm around the small of your back. He's definitely more awake now, but perhaps a little more provocation will do the trick.
You kiss along his jaw down to the side of his neck, playing with the collar of his t-shirt with your fingers. His eyes lazily open when you stop, now meeting his gaze from where your cheek rests on his chest. "Morning, sleepyhead. Remember those errands I need help with?" you tease. He lovingly smirks at your remark, placing a hand on your head to gently stroke your hair.
"Mm… what time is it?" he asks in a raspy voice. You answer his question with a light pinch of his cheek,
"Probably seven, by now. We're running a little late, y'know?"
The fact that 7AM is considered late to you is something he's still getting used to. If left to his own devices, he'd absolutely sleep the day away and have his breakfast at 3PM. Yet, he tries his best to slip into your daily schedule because that'd mean he'd get more time to see your face throughout the day, wouldn't it? But you know what they say, old habits die hard, and right now his old habits have him basically glued to the bed.
"What are the chances I can convince you to push these errands to tomorrow?" he asks cheekily.
"Hm… slim to none," you reply. "With the dinner party today and the fair coming up in a few weeks, it's gonna be really tough to–" You notice his eyes droop as you speak. "Seb?" He startles awake at the sudden call of his name.
"M' sorry, babe. Promise I'm not doing it on purpose," Sebastian rubs his eyes and yawns. "It's just... hard to stay awake."
With a smile, you shake your head and sigh, "what am I gonna do with you?"
"Hm…I don't know. What are you going to do with me?" He places his hands onto your back again, looking down at you with a suggestive smirk.
Leaning in closer to his face, just barely grazing your mouth over his, you whisper, "I might have a few ideas."
Placing your hands around his neck, thumbs resting against his jaw, you pull him closer into a deep kiss. He tightens the grip around your waist in response, pulling you closer toward him. God, if he wasn't awake a few minutes ago, he definitely is waking up now. He takes your mouth into his, enveloping your lips entirely and gently brushing them with his tongue. You can feel your pulse quickening as your breasts press firmly against him; an urge slowly building and itching at you from below. Unable to contain yourself, you lower your hips to grind against the thick bulge beneath you. You can't help but smile at how hard he already is; grinning against his tongue.
You pull away to shift your weight onto his clothed cock, gasping at how it rubs against you. "At least one part of you is up," you jeer, rocking slow movements against his length. He muses at your words and brushes his hair away from his face, granting him a better view of your body on top of his.
"Can you blame me?" he smiles, his sleepy eyes scanning your form. Running thumbs underneath the hem of your shirt, he gingerly lifts up the fabric to reveal your bare chest steadily bouncing at the rhythm your clothed pussy rubs against him. "Fuck me," he gasps breathily, "what a way to wake up."
His exasperation makes you laugh, motivating you to grind your hips with more fervour. "I'm glad this is working," you admit, "because we have just– so much– to do…" Your words are broken up with every sway of your hips. He pulls your shirt off your arms as you continuously pleasure yourself with his dick, moaning and creating a wet spot on his boxers. He just watches as you use him, in absolute awe by how your body reacts to his. His head slowly falls backward onto the pillow, closing his eyes to take in the stimulation. Then suddenly, you stop.
His eyes dart open again at your weight being lifted off his lap, ready to pull you back onto him. You move his hands away and lower your face to his lap. "Nuh uh. You gotta wake up," you chastise before pulling down his boxers. He groans breathily when his thick cock springs free, smacking his toned stomach from the speed of your movements. Without warning, you spit on his tip and run your palm against his shaft, causing him to tense at the sudden sensation. For a while, he can only stare at you with furrowed brows and complete admiration.
"I should sleep in more often," he teases while grinning at his own remark. But soon his sly grin is replaced by a strained grit because you wrap your fingers around his fat length, stroking him at an unfair pace. He perches himself up by the elbows, watching you fist his cock from base to tip. "Fuck, baby. You gotta slow down or ill–" You lower yourself to lick his balls, dragging your way up the shaft.
"Can't, Sebby," you say, stopping at the tip. "Can't have you falling asleep on me." Taking his length in your hand, you guide his cock into the warmth of your mouth, swirling your tongue around the head.
He instinctually places his hands on the top of your head as he throws back his own. The bed gently shakes at the bobbing of your head, catching and swallowing his length into your throat. It's all so sudden; so frustratingly sexy that he can hardly take it. With the hand that grips at your hair, he tries to pry you off him — hoping to gain some reprieve. But this only invites you to suck on him with more excitement. It's just too hard to resist when he praises you in his gravelly, morning voice. "Holy fuck, babe. You're too good at tha–" You can feel his cock twitch in your mouth as he pushes you away from him; he must be close.
With a gentle tug of your hair, you give in and pull away. You and Sebastian heave heavily, the latter trying to regain his composure. He's usually the one to make you melt underneath him, so you can't help but marvel at his flustered expression. "You awake now?" you triumph with a mischievous smile. He picks himself up to stare into you; the look in his eyes tell you that you're in for it now.
Releasing his grip, he sits himself upright and leans toward you. "Hm, yeah. I think I am," he says while returning your expression, "turn around."
Without a question, you turn yourself around, resting your chest on the bed while lifting your ass toward him. You wiggle your hips tauntingly in his direction until you're greeted by a firm smack — a small yelp escapes your lips from the impact. "So impatient," he chides while soothing the sting with his palm, "well, you got what you wanted. I'm up." He slaps your ass again before leaning behind you, pressing his chest to your back to whisper into your ear, "unless…there's something else you wanted."
Just the sound of his condescending tone sends shivers down your spine, and he knows it. He hooks a finger by your dripping slit and tugs at your underwear, causing the fabric to bundle tightly against your clit. All semblances of your mischief has disappeared, vanished with his scolding and now you're moaning his name into the covers. You can tell he's enjoying every lewd noise you make, because now he's tugging at your panties harder, trying to elicit a bigger reaction.
"Well, now that I'm awake, let's go over our to-do list, hm?" He releases your underwear, only to slip his cock beneath the fabric and vigorously rub your clit.
"Seb… I can't–" you plead, eager to feel him plunge inside you. He places his hands on your waist, stroking soothing circles with his thumbs against your back.
"Don't worry, baby. You'll get it, after we go through the list. Okay?" he coos.
Stumbling your words in between moans, you begin listing the day's tasks. "W-we… need to clear off the crops…and prepare the fields."
"Mhm," he hums while wetting his tip along your slit. "What's next?"
"Clear off the weeds in front of the b-baaaarn–" You words shake as he teases your entrance with his tip, gliding it to catch your slick. "Then go to Pierre's… to pick up ingredients for tonight." Your legs quiver as he prods your wet cunt, not fully entering.
"Is there…anything else?" Sebastian meaninglessly asks, his own voice getting shaky in anticipation. He doesn't really care what's on the to-do list, not at the moment at least. No doubt he'll have to ask about it later, because all he cares about now is making you beg to be railed.
"We might also need to–" This time, he slowly pushes his cock through your wet folds, slipping himself inch by inch into your cunt until his thighs are flush against you. His size fills you entirely, stopping any words from escaping your mouth.
He lets out a breathy moan as he feels your pussy clench around him, still gritting his teeth to continue, "We might need to what? I didn't… catch the last part." He nearly pulls himself out entirely while waiting for your response.
"We…might need to–" You breathe in heavily while his dick pulses inside you. "Seb, please," you beg in a petulant tone. Your cries are so needy and desperate, but you don't care. There's no pride between you two, only true love and the aching desire to be fucked. Lucky for you, the feeling is mutual. Deciding he's equally impatient, he fucks his full length back into you.
"I think I get the gist," he says with a satisfied smile before plunging himself in and out of your cunt. He so badly wants to praise how well you took his teasing, but he's almost completely breathless. Lost for words at how tight you are, how well your pretty pussy takes him, and utterly smitten by the way you moan his name between thrusts. He wants to pound more of them out of you — a reminder to everyone in town that you've chosen him and he's the one fucking you the way you deserve.
Really, this is just one of the many moments he's reminded just how lucky he is. He feels so lucky that you decided to move to this boring town. So lucky that you stuck around despite his icy exterior, and miraculously lucky that you fell in love with him. Now he gets to wake up beside you everyday, fuck you like no one else can, and navigate life's mundanities with the person he loves. Morning errands be damned; nothing ever feels like a chore now that you're his.
He pounds you harder now — as if he's trying to bury his intentions deep inside you so you can feel his gratitude. Because even all his sly remarks and bullied thrusts are just another way of praising you; another way to tell you he loves you without saying it out loud. Your pussy clenches down on him so tightly, grasping onto his praises like your life depended on it. Ready to cum all over his cock to confirm that you feel the same. But even if your cunt wasn't being obvious, your words certainly were.
"Seb– it feels so. Fucking. Good," you whine in between thrusts. You try to warn him of your impending burst, but the arch of your back signals your orgasm much faster than you can speak. Backing your ass further into him, you accept his length against your cervix until you feel your release. You convulse around him, whispering thank you's under your breath. The only sound reaching his ears are your muffled cries of pleasure and the squeaking of the bed. He fucks you through your orgasm, but even after you come down from the high, he's still not done.
He rails your stimulated pussy over and over again, causing you to reach out your hand behind you to slow him down. "S-sebastian, I just came. Slower, it's so f-fast"
Grabbing your arm by the wrist, he plows deeper into you. "Sorry, baby. Can't," he says breathily, "We got too much to do today, remember?" You turn your head back to look over your shoulder and flash him a blissed-out smile, silently laughing at his twist of your words.
Reaching around to your front, he rubs circles around your puffy clit while he fucks his last few, sloppy blows inside you. "So close, babe. M'so fucking…close" he says with gritted teeth. His movements on your bud stokes the fire within you, threatening to shatter you once again. With one last buck of his hips against yours, he shoots his load deep inside your pussy, filling you to the brim with in white. He groans profanities as he sputters small thrusts into you. The warmth of his semen hitting against you is the last straw, sending you into your second orgasm of the day.
Dropping your wrist from his grip, he leans forward onto your back, pulling out slightly causing his cum to spill out of you. You breathe in unison, heavily and laboured as you try to regain your bearings. Maybe it's been ten minutes or maybe it was an hour, but you both lay beside each other, unbothered by the time that's passing you by.
When you both come down to your senses, your eyes lock onto his and suddenly you're both chuckling at the morning's happenings. With a bright-eyed smile, he takes your palm to rest on his cheek. Placing a kiss on your knuckles, he greets you to start the day.
"Good morning, honey."

Fandom Problem 4387:
I'm not really sure when this change happened but at some point people decided that the burden of not interacting with anyone you don't want to interact with lies with everyone EXCEPT yourself.
We see this in DNIs, that range from "no racists / no Nazis" to "you must have the exact same opinions on every single cartoon as me". (First off, do you really expect extremist bigots to respect your DNI? That people like that just won't bother you if you ask them not to? If anything DNIs function only as a virtue signaling tool to tell people we deem Good People that we are also Good People.)
Just friggin use the block button, that's the only reliable way to make sure you never have to see or talk to anyone you don't want to, be it because they're racist extremists or because you don't like their headcanons about your favorite anime character, wherever you decide to draw the line at.
Another way is people yelling at people for "making gross fanfic and fanart!!" just, don't click it then? wtf it's not hard.
But bottom line, this is the internet. Before you even log in anywhere you need to prepare for the possibility that you're gonna see some cursed shit sooner or later. It's just part of being online. Shock sites have been around forever. "But the kiiidsss!!!-" shouldn't even be ON here if they aren't able to manage themselves.
Also this whole attitude that "everyone adult is an eeeviil pedophile groomer out to get you, EXCEPT *ME* OF COURSE YOU CAN TRUST *ME*, I AM YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL LOOKING OUT FOR YOU BUT NO ONE ELSE CAN BE TRUSTED!" Is DEFINITELY going to make it much easier for actual predators to hide in plain sight. Also? People could just be lying? Anyone could SAY they're a minor, to get the trust of other minors. IF kids are going to be on the internet, at least give them the tools to protect themselves. This means, don't list out every single thing that could be used to identify you and then slap "pedos DNI!!!" at the end and expect them to just leave, cause that's not gonna work. And don't assume everyone is always being honest, someone could SAY they're 15 and trans to try to relate to you, but you can't be sure WHO they are really, so don't give out any information that could be used against you.
And no, it's not "victim blaming" to say we should teach kids basic internet safety, any more than it would be "victim blaming" to teach kids not to dart into a busy street. "Stranger danger" isn't new but it sure seems like a lot of people have forgotten about it. Everyone has a responsibility to keep themselves safe. If someone--of any age--can't handle that responsibility THEY SHOULD NOT BE ONLINE.

tragedy anon back again w u guess it!!! More tragedy!!! Im thinking rn of a Yuu who was always going to die in the end. Like being sent back to their world is the equivalent to a death sentence, and they can't stay in TWST because time always loops and they feel like shit for trapping everyone in a moment when they could all be living their lives if not for them.
Yuu who has always been doomed from the start.... Like maybe yuu has been framed for a crime back in their prev world and when they do come back their execution will commence or maybe it's the apocalypse and when they do come back it's truly only a matter of time when they die. Thinking of the TWST boys who goes to visit them only to find nobody..... But traces of them.... Though I feel like the first scenario is more brutal, imagine you go visit your friend and not only are they dead but they were sentenced to death for a crime you know damn well they did not commit and everyone else is rejoicing.
Rejoicing that they're gone. Rejoicing at the fact that they all had KILLED them. Did Yuu know this was going to happen? If they did why had they not told them?! (they will never know, no one ever will because no one ever asked when they were alive if they were alright and they sure as hell will never get an answer because Yuu is dead and they are gone. Forever. )
:3
Ah tragedy annon, my Billy Shakes if you will, this made me THINK think. Doomed (hehe dyuumed) by the narrative is such a sexy trope. "If you were dead at the end of the story you were dead since the beginning" my beloved.
The main thing that made me think is that in country's that have the death penalty there's typically a lengthy appeals process + a ban on sentencing minors to it, even if they were charged as an adult, that makes it hard for me to see that being Yuu’s situation. That being said I agree that would be an awful, awful thing to come see. I could see someone like Malleus, who hates seeing other people happy when he isn't and is prone to causing storm with his magic, going full Netflix Castlevania and starting an apocalypse in Yuu's world while bringing their body home to be laid in state in Briar Valley. It's his right as King of the Abyss after all. Someone like Riddle might try proving your innocence, thinking about how restoring your good name is all he can do while the Octatrio extract their own kind of justice.
The apocalypse Yuu scenarios are ones I like but haven't played around with much just because post apocalyptic settings aren't my jam but! I could see there being a lot of anger at this Yuu for not telling them their situation. Of course now that the boys are older, they can reflect on their behavior and know why Yuu said nothing. But it's easier to blame Yuu at first than accept that they're grieving. It would take them a long time to work through that I think.
My personal preference for scenarios like these involve Yuu being mortally injured before coming to Twisted Wonderland, either in an accident or an attack, that results in their death when they return. I've also played around with terminal illness that's temporarily cured by going to Twisted Wonderland (my own health issues have made me like that less :/) that Yuu isn't recovered from when they return. Either way Yuu is dead when their friends finally figure out a way to get to their world and they have no way of being there for them. And they have no one to blame but themselves... unless.
Unless...
Maybe they could re-set time again?

My current theory is that ( Puts tinfoil hat )  The ongoing gender war stuff in both CN and KR have definitely shifted how some 'waifu-collectors' see the female player base and therefore male characters in gacha games. There's definitely an ongoing narrative that women are the root of toxicity and more devs should adopt the waifu-only policy to appeal to as few women as possible and gatekeep their safe havens. The irony is that most of these people advocating to exclude women are using the vocal minority for their examples as to why, which is exactly what they don't want done to themselves. Basically, women should only play Love and Deepspace and men can play GFL2/AL/Snowbreak/Nikke etc. As long as women 'stay in their lane' they are satisfied, even though it's been shown that both men and women will pull for characters of the opposite gender and vice versa. Mixed cast games are trying to err on the side of caution because if they don't appeal to this crowd enough (by skewing the gender ratio harder, or by making more fanservice designs) then they will be brigaded on social media for appealing too much towards women or radical feminists.
omg yeah I feel like “gamer” men say this outright around the world from east to west. “women are coming into our games and making the women less sexy and everything more toxic” etc. attitude has ramped up. though it was always bad if you remember, in the west at least, the absolute insane violent tantrum reaction to Anita Sarkeesian for making like I cannot stress this enough just pretty basic feminist videos about video games. It was like seeing grown adult men have the same type of screaming tantrum a toddler would have when you tell him he can’t have an expensive toy at the store. except instead of one kid sitting on the floor screaming it was an unbelievable amount of men worldwide sitting in their computer chairs screaming and writing graphic rape threats and making full video games where you violently beat her. For the crime of just one woman talking about fucking Mario or whatever. THIS is how these men react when you do something as benign as that. I posted some more about this here.
you have no idea the insane shit that gets blamed on female fans or female employees of mixed sex gachas. A lot of that has been already posted here obviously so I’ll post something new I saw just so we can archive some more examples. Recently one of my friends from the infrared blog I sometimes repost here showed me this strange phenomenon happening on the Genshin impact leaks subreddit where a good amount of guys were accusing the developers of the game of being fujoshis because they thought a new female water character was being nerfed so that a previously released male water character would be the strongest water character. I thought this was a joke (my mistake) but it spanned a LOT of comments and got extremely heated. Later I found these comments in another thread there
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like this is the thought process. This sucked -> ok so probably a woman wrote it -> well most writers graduated from liberal arts schools, and most liberal arts students are women, so it was definitely a female writer. This is how easy it is for this type of “gamer” male to blame anything they hate on women. They did this for one of the stories in HSR that was disliked as well. If you look up “有男不玩” there are videos on bilibili but also some on YouTube where you can get snippets of how these guys are thinking about female gacha players. They share some similarities with all gamer men who think women are more frivolous, unskilled and don’t like action games. there were particular comments that reminded me of how Korean incels wrote about women, in that games should stop pandering to us altogether because we don’t have enough money, or if we do have money it’s because it’s coming from a boyfriend or male relative, or we’re all just playing f2p. ironically a huge amount of merch sales, IRL events and fan-PR like fanart comes from female players and they are usually the ones to stick around the longest I believe, but these guys only understand the money aspect of these games.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are a lot of ones that were interesting but I don’t want to use too many since I was working with MTL, and then looking up individual phrases, and then retranslating some, and then looking up context, etc. lol. so when I have a better grasp on this I can make a better post.
in regards to how they find it ok if the games are sex segregated yes exactly,I posted about this earlier and probably a couple months ago too but this was most recent so it’s easiest to just copy here

sorry, it’s long, bad written and probably bad English. Some parts looks/are disconnected.
If someone has a relationship with a 17, he is a provlably ephebophile(15-19y/o), not a peadophile. Depending the country ephebophile is not crimenous or condemned. Usually 17 looks more an adult than a child, for some reason the people in the past used to look mature faster than nowadays.
Thinking all Goebbels’ lovers were victims is not right, some of them were, some of them really liked him, and some of them know what they were doing. Sadly it’s common to actress to do sex to grow in their career, especially for them to be the top ones. Making someone choose between their career or having sex that they don’t want is horrible, it was a sacrifice she did, and yes I think it can be considered rape because it’s like a “die or kill your beloved ones” question, it’s not really a choice.
For me liking a people that is already dead and some is alive is different, you see, an alive person, you don’t their future or what they gonna do, and is easily to don’t notice their changes thought the time. But a dead one you know their hole live how they was liked and their life phases and changes. What, for me, make you able to choose a moment of their life for liking them, a time their personality and actions you like more. We judge people for what they are, their “now”, but dead people don’t really have a “now” they are all made of past. You decide what’s the now, hitler in his his 20’s it’s almost a complete different person he was in his final year, you can choose who you like more or don’t, I don’t think you need to like the person hole life and action to say you like that person.
I believe all hitler inner circle needle in some level some kind of therapy, Goebbels was short and lame ( don’t know if it’s his is the right word, my English such sometimes), I notice that short men often try to compensate their height(what theoretically means a lack of masculinity) by doing something “male”, such as sex( I blame society for this) , he clearly had a low self-esteem that he dels in the worst way possible by subconsciously believing being a womanizer would prove he is less inferior, having sex was a way to screen “look I worth something” for the world but specially for himself. Lying so many time until he believes it was true, lying for himself is something he did a lot.
So…what I means by all of these? I don’t really know, take your own conclusion :)
Goebbels fans once again have failed to disappoint me on their lack of understanding when it comes to the nuances of sex and consent. Quite worrying really. So I will gladly explain it, not just to Goebbels fans, but we'll make this a learning experience for the WHOLE of Reichblr.
I was going to leave this video at the end, but it's best that we start with it. An easy to understand guide to consent. Just under three minutes. Watch this first.
youtube
Now, we'll go through each paragraph one by one.
1.I never explicitly stated that Goebbels was a pedophile. I merely said rapist - which is true. Regardless of the word I used, a grown man having sex with a 17 year old is not okay. They do not “look like adults” because they are not adults, nor do they have the intellectual or emotional maturity of an adult. Goebbels had a fully developed brain, exploiting a girl whose brain was still developing. The phrase “well, she didn't look that young” is a common excuse used by pedophiles. Although I did not explicitly call Goebbels a pedophile, I think you understood that his attraction to a 17 year old was not okay.
I've had commenters argue that age of consent law in Germany is 14, but have clearly shown that they do not understand how these consent laws work. These laws exist to protect minors who have sex with other minors (because guess what? This happens!). They do not allow over 18s to have sex with minors (ignoring things like Romeo and Juliet laws, because they don't apply in Goebbels's case).
I want to put this question to the community: If your 17 year old daughter tells you she slept with a man who was pushing his 40s, how do you respond to that situation? And in this 40 year old man can be ANYONE, I'm not saying Goebbels specifically.
2.I never said ALL were victims, but the majority were. His earlier relationships in his youth and the affair with Baarova were consensual. But this does not mean we ignore the ones who felt that they had to. You say in your anon that it's quite common for actresses to have sex to further their careers. Thus you're admitting that Goebbels exploited a system that he could benefit from.
The infamous Goebbels casting couch is a very well-known thing for Reich nerds who actually engage in real history. The fact that these actresses (and likely his secretaries too) felt that they had to give into Goebbels's demands so that they could keep their career is coercion. It is not consent. If we refer back to the video I linked that the top, consent is an enthusiastic “yes” from both parties. Doing it because you're left with little choice is not consent.
And if we refer back to Mark Felton's video, we know that Goebbels would go to lengths to keep these women in his grasp. These are not healthy sexual relationships. This is manipulation and coercion. It is abuse.
And just because historians don't explicitly use the word “rape” doesn't mean that it's not what they're suggesting. Historians aren't entitled to spell things out to you, mainly because they don't write for children, they write for adults. And they expect that you have the emotional and intellectual maturity to understand what is and what isn't a consensual relationship. You can easily put two and two together.
3.I find your third point very strange, personally. I never said that you couldn't like or be interested in Goebbels, I said that you can't choose to ignore the fact that he was a sexual deviant.
I also understand that you're saying that you could pick and choose a more acceptable era, but I have two issues with this: (1). Goebbels was hyper sexual throughout his adult life, the only difference between Goebbels before power and Goebbels in power is that Goebbels had less ways of exploiting young women he took an interest in. There was no “better” Goebbels, merely a less powerful Goebbels. (2). I think you're making this point because of your bias and affections towards Goebbels, because you wouldn't say this about other men in recent history. For example: Jimmy Saville, Ted Bundy, Donald Trump, the list goes on. I personally don't consider this an appropriate point to make?
4.This isn't an argument, more of an understatement so I won't comment on it because there's nothing I have to say here.
MY CONCLUSIONS
I think we really need to put an emphasis on education in Reichblr again. This doesn't mean we put an end to shitposting and edits and art because that's not what I mean here. I mean we need to encourage people to do research outside of tumblr and promote resources for newcomers who don't have the same foundation of knowledge as many in the fandom already have. Because the amount of people I have interacted with who know next to nothing really concerns me, and it also embarrasses us as a community when we get the occasional wave of hate and you can't actually defend yourself.
I am more than happy to work on a resource masterlist for the community that can be added to over time - but that depends on if everyone else actually wants me to put in the effort to do that.
My final point is that a lot of us really need to do better and not get defensive when someone reminds others of atrocities committed by members of the Reich. To reiterate: This is a REICH community. None of your faves are innocent pookies. They did bad things. And yes, some of them were rapists.

babies, it’s been real. you gotta work hard, and strive to do your best. but if you wanna carry on, you need to find balance. to take responsibility you need to know when you have to ask for help, and be careful with what you’ve built. there’s a lot of options and you may feel like nothing is working out and there’s no end to these problems and situations piling up. it’s time to make some decisions and let go of stuff that doesn’t work. but it’s not time of reckless action. you should work hard for what you know you can do, and for the rest - let go. now is the time to meditate, to pause, to let yourself breathe and relax. you should force decisions and outcomes in areas where that doesn’t feel right. it’s like on one hand you can’t avoid this and try to escape it but on another you can’t force it either. and it’s hard, I know. you might be feeling cornered and trapped. you might be falling into victimisation. but that feeling of not having agency in your life, that’s exactly what’s leading you to feel this way. you’re not tapping into your personal power, recognising you have it, and you can use it. if you surrender your power to something else, blaming negative outcomes on it, or thinking that your life is dependent on one thing or another, you’re taking it away from yourself. you’re giving away your responsibility to change your life. so don’t make decisions when your judgement is unclear, but don’t avoid making them when you know it’s real. don’t be impulsive right now, just observe, make small steps, and go with it. all these traps, you created and submitted to them. be cautious of your finances, dependencies, ways of binding and giving. don’t give more than you have. your sources of generosity can be corrupted, rooted in egocentric and selfish notions rather than in love and selflessness.
I KNOW THIS KIND OF SUCKS AND ITS NOT THE CLEAREST THING IN THE WORLD. but it’s all happening because you need to face these nuances, you need to see what’s up with you, how you’re fucking yourself and others over without even trying, thinking someone is wronging you, but news flash, it’s been you all along. these unfair power dynamics are rooted in our society and it’s not your fault. but as a responsible adult rather than the traumatised child you used to be, you have the power to change this. it takes a whole village to shift the frequency.
all of this is rooted in scarcity mindset. looking at what you don’t have rather than what you don’t have. you have the power to change this, but these topics of grief, loss, sadness - it’s all human. you’re on your way of understanding that this will never end, it’s a part of human condition. but you can change the way you identify with these, how you let yourself feel, how you choose to act when these topics play a bigger part in your life. I know you lost a lot, I know it’s been hard. but it’s in your hands to look at what you have left and feel gratitude for it, rather than grieving everything that’s left you. you need to make space for better things to come. I love you. you’re loved, your held. this too shall pass. and you’ll come out much better and stronger on the other side, so thankful all this bullshit is behind you and you’ve finally faced what’s been weighing on you.
ALSO MAMAS THESE ARE MINOR ARCANAS SO EXPECT THINGS TO SHIFT VERY SOON! it’s gonna be dope I promise, we just need to deal with our own bullshit.
IF ANYONE IS HAVING A HARD TIME HANDLING THIS SHIFT, ASK ME, MESSAGE ME, I’M HERE BABIES!

How are the others taking Kieran's death ? Won't they think there's something fishy ? (Legends AU)
I'm SCREAMING this is the first ask I've gotten in ten whole years and it's about KIERAN 🤣
Putting beneath a read more because this got stupid long...
But real talk, Carmine would be taking it the hardest she'd be a mess for a while. In my mind the plot of LA takes places over about two years to complete the pokedex, so by then she'd have graduated school, and is trying to redefine who she is since so much of her identity was tied into being a big sister. She'd be antagonistic towards Briar for a while, blaming her for bringing them down there in the first place. But I like to think Carmine comes to understand that adults are not perfect after the fallout that comes to Briar and the Paladean Pokemon League as a result of a minor dying on a sponsored exception.
Briar I think would write her book but she'd have fallen out of favor in the academic world due to her irresponsibility. She'd face harsh criticism from the public and the guilt she'd feel would be tremendous because Kieran, despite being a little shit at the time, was a child. I like to believe two years later she's really struggling with her career, getting denied grants and project funding, having her papers get denied by academic journals. She's a mess.
Geeta and the Paladean Pokemon League would face harsh scrutiny over allowing this specific expedtion to occur. For years they refused to allow expeditions down in Area Zero due to a lack of strong enough, accredited (re: champion level) trainers who were not bogged down by workload. Its a media shitstorm. A research team with only three children as the safety trainers? Yes one of them is a certified Champion of their league but they are still a child with only a few months experience, and the other two were strong trainers in their own right but not accredited under Paladean standards. There wasnt enough prep or vetting. Geeta would as a result step down as chairwoman due to the backlash. Atm there is no top champion so if someone beats the elite 4 there's a hold on becoming a champion level trainer while Nemona is being trained for the position.
Now the BB Academy Elite 4, they're shook. Drayton takes it the hardest because he turned down going, so he's like "what if I was there what if there was one more trainer could I have prevented this". The other 3 did see Kieran as a friend, despite his recent behavior. Before that he was Carmine's little brother, and Crispin and him were pretty friendly too, what with being in the same grade. Yeah the kid was a bully but imagine coming to school one day and there's an announcement one of your clasmates died. Thats traumatic!
Now, the protagonist. Oh boy. Regardless of if they're Juliana or Florian, they'd be pretty traumatized. They considered Kieran a friend. At one point they loved his company, he was so kind and sweet and they already blamed themselves a bit for the whole Ogerpon situation. Yeah Kieran took it to the extreme with his reaction, but I find Kieran a really interesting character with how the game wrote him. He's a child, was lied to by the people closest with him, and he doesnt seem the type to easily connect with others. But the one time he finally finds someone he connects with, we continuously and unrelentlessly crush him at something he enjoys, join his family in treating him like he has no agency by hiding the truth of his special interest from him, and go out of our way to disinclude him with his sister.
And like of course Ogerpon got close to us we spent so much time with her, getting her to trust us and know us. I see this take a lot that Kieran just wants to enslave legendaries but thats definitely not it. He's trying to get back at us. We took something special from him, and he never really had the chance to put in his bid for Ogerpon's attention and he knew it was selfish, but he cared so much for her as someone that was always disincluded, bullied, looked down on by others, and he had to at least try because Ogerpon to him, is a projection of himself. He had to TRY even if as he stated, he knew it was wrong.
And then we take his spot as Champion from him that he like, harmed himself and those around him for so he could at least have *something* that put him on the same level as you. Like we as the protagonist are the villain of Kieran's story (sorry for the tangent I swear it's relevant), but he's 14 and had a mental breakdown. And he got killed before we could reconcile or get through to him.
I think the protagonist would do a lot of soul searching because their first thought is "i should have taken the blast." Or "i could have stopped it" and then they had the humbling realization of "what could i even have done? We're the same age. That could have been me, i could have died" because even if the protagonist would never like, try to catch Terapagos immediately with a Masterball, its still a wild and untrained monster with too much power. There's no telling what would have happened if Kieran wasn't there. It'd incredibly eye opening and humbling and I think they'd strive to be a better more understanding person from this. The whole game people are hyping them up, telling them theyre so strong, they're the best, etc. Thats gotta give you a bit of a big head. I think they'd look to the adults they can trust, their mom, their teachers who are genuinely amazing people, and lean on them for support.
And when Kieran gets back and kind of has no idea who they are, and here's that sweet kid they remember with all of his love for pokemon and battling, except he's so much healthier and confident about it (and traumatized in different ways thanks Kamado and Volo). They'd probably be so amazed by him and thankful for this second chance.
Tldr: i should probably just write a fic for this it got stupid long...

Lloyd:
𑁍 he would be the one to sneak food out of the kitchen
𑁍 whenever Zane’s baking he’s there ready to taste test and steal chocolate chips
𑁍 everyone keeps forgetting he’s just a kid in an adult body so even though he acts tough Lloyd is actually terrified of fighting
𑁍 after Harumi died in the collapsed building he took a few days off to process the whole thing
𑁍 Kai is a big brother to Lloyd so whenever he’s upset Kai’s always there to help
𑁍 same thing with Nya; she’s a big sister and the middle sibling of the RGB trio
𑁍 Lloyd respects everyone on the team for practically raising him and dealing with his evil phase
Kai:
ꕥ will ironically say “FIYAAAA!” But everyone is used to it so there’s no reaction
ꕥ literally an oven
ꕥ remember in s1 when he found Zane in the fridge? Yeah he never lets him live it down even though he chilled in the oven around that time
ꕥ blames himself for every little thing that goes wrong on a mission
ꕥ takes criticism hard
ꕥ grew to be less protective of Nya but he still worries about her time to time
ꕥ relies on his elemental abilities so when they’re taken away (s10) he feels utterly useless
ꕥ avoids water because 1: he’s terrified of it and 2: so he won’t ruin his hair
ꕥ Kai’s only afraid of bodies of water so anything more than Nya’s abilities is terrifying to him
Cole:
 he’s simply a bear
 a plus size god
(Minor TW for eating disorder)
 developed an eating disorder during the 1 year time skip as a way to punish himself

Jay:
✫ has repressed his comic nerd until Lloyd came along
✫ ADHD at its finest
✫ hyper fixated on comic book characters to try and escape his responsibilities
✫ gaming with Cole is one of his outlets

I just read part of a fic that claimed to be writing a more "critical" version of Jiang Cheng, and I'm usually wary of such because when ppl say they're going to be "critical" of JC (or indeed any character) they usually mean they're going to turn him into YZY 2.0 with no redeeming qualities aside from being the absolute worst version of himself 24/7. Every JC/Jiang Bashing fic I've ever read is just the most one dimensional portrayal of MXTX's extremely complex characters, even if the author has to make up crimes and drama that actively contradict canon traits (rip yanli)
And that's fine. It's fanfiction. You're allowed to write whatever you want and if readers don't like it the exit button is free. However, it just irks me because I don't even really like JC and some of these portrayals make me want to defend this man in court.
For one, branding him as a mass murderer for being at the siege. Okay sure, but in that case so is literally everyone who persecuted the Wen Remnants even if only through wilful ignorance and passive allowance. The Lans, the Nies, and every minor sect. Yet why does LXC get a pass when he also was involved with the death and slaughter of the Wens? The primary message of the book was the dangers of mob mentality tyranny, and that all the great clans and leaders were at fault.
I see JC as a victim. As a child he was punished for acting familiarly with WWX while also punished for not being as skilled. Then as an adult he witnessed the death of his entire family and sect, and lashed out badly. Yet why is that his sole defining character moment? As if he didn't spent the end of the war wanting to protect his family, INCLUDING WWX. Of course he blamed WWX for Lotus Pier burning. Everyone did, including the Wens. They were obviously always going to attack, but WWX was a convenient scapegoat.
I won't pretend their relationship was healthy, but it also wasn't monstrously abusive. The reason JC lost his core was because he was trying to protect WWX from a patrol of Wen soldiers. Even after their fight, JC still snuck JYL into the city to see WWX and was the one who suggested that WWX be the one to choose the baby's courtesy name. It's explicitly stated that a lot of the reason their relationship went so sour was because the other sects (namely the Jins) manipulated/preyed on his insecurities.
TLDR: stop making me defend this man.

PLEASE spill the Makoto cop tea. I'm always down to hear people's thoughts on that
Thanks anon! I do my best to keep this blog positive-vibes only, but since you asked I will answer. Warning: DO NOT read this post if you do not want to see any criticisms about Makoto Nijima from P5 + discussions of police. This is not hate towards the character or her fans. It's just criticism for the writing choices and their implications for her.
Makoto Nijima does NOT want to reform the police. There's a mandela effect in the fandom where everyone seems to think she does, but rewatch her rank 10. Reform isn't mentioned at all. I'm so serious. What she actually says is this:
Tumblr media
Within her confidant, the context is the host that was preying on her friend Eiko. Wanting to stop situations like that is good and makes sense 👍 The writers framed her decision to become a cop as a response to the most clean-cut black-and-white situation ever.
But here's the thing though: what happens when the lawless and the victims are the same people? Because in the real world, crime tends to concentrate among the poor and marginalized. The real world is not black and white. And I try to separate my personal experiences with the law from the media/art I engage with, but that doesn't work here because the game at large doesn't portray society as black and white.
There are a number of people in this game that do wrong because they have been hurt or are marginalized or did not receive proper help. A lot of mementos requests are about 'lawless' people and yet many are portrayed as 'due to systemic issues' or a lack of support or developing mental illness. It's also not a coincidence that Akechi is the most marginalized of all the phantom thieves and he was the one who did the most crime. There is deliberate social commentary here. People do not become lawless out of nowhere. They are shaped by their circumstances. And the game itself sympathizes with these people, focusing on changing/ helping them. The game's conclusion is that providing support and rehabilitation is the solution. Rehabilitative justice > Punitive justice.
Police wouldn't achieve that. Police in the game are framed as corrupt and incompetent at their core. Our protagonist is one of their biggest victims to demonstrate how they are weaponized against the weak. Even Sae Nijima at the end of the story has shifted to become a defense attorney rather than attempting to reform it (best character arc btw) because she recognized that the system is broken. And you can't even blame it just on Shido controlling the police because we see that the problems persist beyond him. By the end of the story they remain useless or outright harmful. The police do not help or rehabilitate, they only punish.
So no, this isn't me projecting my personal issues with cops onto the story because within the game's own story, law enforcement is not the solution. If it were a question of reform, we could debate about whether police reform is possible, but again: Makoto doesn't care about reform. It never comes up. According to the writers, she wants to be a cop because she thinks not enough lawless people are being punished. You can argue that her wanting to 'head an organization' means she wants to be in a position of power where she can reform them, but remember that police only enforce the law. They do not make the law. If reform was her goal she would be a politician. (I honestly thought that's what she was set up to be, since she was student council president and all but I digress)
Also a small detail, but notice how she mentions destroying the lawless before she mentions helping victims? It's super minor but I think it's indicative of the cop mentality. There's greater priority on punishing than helping.
I also dislike this conclusion to her arc because it's net zero character growth. You're telling me the character that was rebelling against corrupt adults' orders is now becoming a cop, the biggest bootlicking profession of them all? She started the story being a well-intentioned pushover, and she's ending her story being a well-intentioned pushover. And it doesn't matter whether she as an individual is a good person or not. All cops comply to be active participants in a system that is designed to hurt the weak and prop up the powerful.
TLDR: You do not help victims by punishing the 'lawless'. You help victims by helping victims. Period. Makoto becoming a cop is a contradiction of this and her own character arc. Either the writers did her dirty by not thinking this through or this is meant to be who she really is, and both those possibilities upset me.

“You?! Again?!”
You winced at the Head Court Lady’s angry tone, your eyes drifting from her face towards the heap of clothes now on the floor, trying your best to not show the annoyance you felt creeping into you. “I’m sorry, ma’am. It was an accident…”
It was not an accident, but it was easier to tell her that than to even try to explain what had happened.
“It’s the third ‘accident’ of yours this week! You’ll have to wash those again, you’re not leaving this place until you do”, with that, she turned around and left.
The incessant snickering coming from your side made you snap your head in the sound’s direction, glaring at the man–or maybe it’d be more accurate to say the creature–that was mocking you now. “It’s not funny, Jeongin”, you moved, grabbing a basket, and proceeding to kneel by the heap of clothes and start depositing the pieces in it so you could take them to the laundry area.
“Oh, it’s so funny, my dear”, Jeongin held his belly as his laughter intensified, tears running down his face the longer he spent looking at you kneeling on the floor.
With a sigh, you decided to ignore him. Whenever you reacted to his pranks it always made everything worse, so you tried your best to focus on your task. These were a lot of clothes, clothes that you had just finished sorting and folding, all that work now down the drain because of him.
Jeongin was, to put it simply, your own personal demon.
He’d been haunting you for over a year now. He liked to prank you, to inconvenience you, and you could never stop it. If you said anything you surely would be hanged because they’d think you were crazy or they’d burn you at the stake because they’d think you were a witch–even if you were neither of those things–so you always took the blame for his antics.
No one else could see Jeongin either, not because you had any sort of special sight for spirits, but because that was how Jeongin liked it. ‘Only you get the great honour of seeing me, darling!’ He had told you with the widest smile on his face the first time you tried to rat him out to one of the Court Ladies, so you stopped trying since then.
How you came to be involved with Jeongin was quite the story… Not one of your proudest moments, you’d admit.
You’d always been bad at politics, the worst at keeping your thoughts concealed, your face always giving away too much, or your words of disapproval slipping past your lips before you could ever stop them–which was one of the worst traits to have when you worked at the palace. People here loved to fake their true nature, they loved to play a part, and you had such a hard time doing so yourself you stopped talking altogether after the incident.
It happened a long time ago, but you could still remember it as if it had happened yesterday.
The abusive governor, your friend hunched over on the floor as the man kicked and punched her, the heavy weight of the wooden plank in your hands as you quite literally broke it in half on his head, your friend’s wrist in your hand as you tugged her out of there, the screams of the governor’s wife when you were already too far away for her to see the culprit, ‘whoever did this, I curse you! I curse you for all eternity!’
The governor’s wife’s words haunted you when you went to sleep that night, and, as you held your friend tightly in your arms while she slept, those incessant screams changed shape, turning instead into a wicked laugh. When you had woken up the next morning, your friend was gone for the day already, but in her place you found a boy, a man, with carob hair, a devilish smile on his lips, and his two toned eyes–one blue like the sky above your heads and the other red like raspberries–staring at you.
You had screamed, because of course you had–there was a random-ass man on your yo as you woke up, so obviously you screamed, scrambling as far away from him as possible. ‘So loud for this time of day! Tone it down!’ was all he had said as he rolled around on the bedding. After running away from your sleeping quarters you started to question people around the palace about the man with the odd eyes–as inconspicuously as you could, of course. People had looked at you like you were crazy, telling you such eyes didn’t exist in this world.
You had let them gaslight you into believing that, into believing that the man with the wicked smile and two-toned eyes had probably just been a product of your imagination, of your post-sleep, post-trauma hazy mind, even when it had felt so real… It wasn’t until later in the day, when you were cleaning boxes upon boxes of royal cutlery that you saw him again, standing by one of the piles of boxes as he looked at you with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
It was almost as if the situation had played in slow motion, his hand moving to the tallest box he could reach, his eyes locked with yours, as he pushed the box with as much force as he could for the thing to fall, the delicate utensils clattering loudly on the floor. ‘What are you doing?!’ you remember asking him, to which he simply smirked and shrugged. The noise had attracted people’s attention, so when one of the Court Ladies rushed into the room and saw the mess she had shouted at you, to which you desperately pointed towards the man by the boxes and laid the blame on him.
The Court Lady hadn’t believed you, of course, alleging there was no one there, and urging you to go to the infirmary as you were clearly sick and hallucinating. But you weren’t, he was standing right there. That was your first real encounter with Jeongin, the one that, unbeknownst to you, gave you a taste of what your life would become moving forward.
“Come on, darling. It’s no fun if you don’t fight back!” Jeongin was pouting, crouching next to where you were kneeling, still shoving clothes into the basket.
You could feel your whole body tremble, feeling utterly helpless, his constant pranks had worn you down more than you would’ve liked to admit, that, coupled with the sheer amount of work you had around the palace these days with the upcoming royal wedding had a knot building in your throat. “I don’t have time for this, Jeongin”, you weakly murmured.
“Aw, come on. I haven’t even–”
“Stop it!” Your voice came out louder than you intended, but worst of all, you couldn’t help the sob that came right after, tears of frustration starting to pool in your eyes as you looked into his two-toned eyes. “Do you have any idea how much work I have now because of your stupid prank? I haven’t slept more than three hours each night for the past few months, Jeongin!”
It was odd, really. Jeongin was here to haunt you, to inconvenience you, but throughout the past year you had somewhat become used to his presence around you, so much so that you had formed a rapport of sorts. ‘You’re the first person I’ve haunted that has actually talked to me, like, talk talk, not just scream in fear. You must be insane’, Jeongin had told you once while you two were conversing under the moonlight. You remember that day had been particularly taxing, someone had attempted to poison the king–just as he deserved, honestly…–and the entire palace was distraught, or pretending to be distraught, at least. So, at night, you had gone to the most secluded area you could find in the woods, just sitting there, looking at the moon’s reflection on the stream. And somehow, in the quiet of the night, you and Jeongin simply started talking, almost like acquaintances.
That day–before the entire assasination attempt thing–Jeongin had thrown two rows of books off of the library’s shelves while you cleaned the space, snickering and cackling as you had to pick them all back up again, a fact you couldn’t stop but remember as you sat there talking with him. ‘You’re here all the time, and you’re too annoying to ignore’, you had told him back then, because it was the truth. You talked with him because he talked to you, and in a way, when he wasn’t pulling one of his stunts, it almost felt as if he was keeping you company.
Tears spilled freely from your eyes, quiet sobs escaping you here and there as you stared at Jeongin. He stared back at you, completely stone-faced now, the devilish smirk and the mischievous glint in his eyes now completely gone. This was the most serious you had ever seen him since you met him, but you were too hurt to think about it too much. “Just leave me alone, Jeongin. Even if just for tonight, please…”
Jeongin’s eyes jumped from one of yours to the other a few times, only to finally give you a minute nod. His body turned to smoke shortly after, suddenly disappearing from the room, and you couldn’t do anything other than cry and stare at the heaps and heaps of clothes. It was too much work, just too much for yourself alone, and you were having a full-on meltdown about it.
You weren’t sure how long you spent crying in that room, your chest burning with exertion and the lump in your throat growing heavier and heavier the longer you sat there. All you knew was that you woke up the next day curled up into a ball on the floor and that the heaps of clothes–all of them–were neatly folded on the shelf, smelling clean and fresh. Wow, you must’ve worked a lot last night, you couldn’t even remember doing all this. Stretching your limbs, you stood up, finally leaving the room to go freshen up and start your duties for the day.
Tumblr media
The royal wedding certainly had everyone preoccupied around the palace, Crown Prince Seungmin was getting married to a princess from a faraway land, and everyone within the lowest ranks in the palace was speculating that someone would try to stop the wedding, some said through the assasination of either the Crown Prince or his betrothed, some said that the Crown Prince himself would run away… All this was pure palace gossip you had no interest in indulging in, as being imprisoned for treacherous tendencies was certainly not within your life-long plans.
Three days had passed since you last saw Jeongin, which oddly worried you. The longest you’d spent without seeing him was a day at most, so, to you, his sudden absence was strange. In a way, it was for the best, you had been able to carry out your tasks with ease, without any otherworldly delays, but after having experienced Jeongin’s antics for so long, the sudden absence of them made you realise how… Boring working at the palace was. Had it been like this before he started to haunt you? Maybe it had been, you had just been too focused on keeping your job at the time to notice.
It was only the next day that you saw Jeongin again, standing by a stack of wooden cups in the kitchen. He locked eyes with you, his serious expression contorting again as that familiar mischievous smile crept on his lips. Before you could stop it, he had already knocked over the stack of cups, the things clunking against each other as they rolled on the table–some of them even falling on the floor. Thankfully, you were alone, and the noise caused by the cups falling wasn’t that loud, so you could probably manage this without anyone bursting into the kitchen and calling you crazy or lazy or clumsy.
You simply sighed in response, shaking your head as you started to pick up the cups from the floor. “Was this really necessary?”
“I’m here to haunt you, remember?” Jeongin took one of the cups, walking over to pick up a jug of water and serving himself a glass. “You’re still cursed, my dear”.
“Lucky me…” You mumbled, stacking the cups again where they belonged. “Is there no way to get rid of this curse?”
You had asked Jeongin about it many times before, and each time he had given you the same answer ‘why would I tell you how to get rid of the curse?’ which, honestly, you could understand why he wouldn’t tell you about it. You weren’t sure what it was, but he was definitely getting something out of haunting you, that much was obvious to you, otherwise why would he keep this up for a year?
However, right now, when you asked him, his expression suddenly got serious. Again, there was that stone-faced Jeongin you had only seen a few days ago. He inhaled deeply, only to exhale right after. “The governor’s wife that cursed you… She’s been delving in dark magic” Jeongin’s words surprised you, for someone so deeply involved in the government to be practising witchcraft… If anyone found out, their titles would be revoked and she would definitely be burnt at the stake. “When she said those words, she cursed you for real, clearly. Which is why I’m here. And honestly, you’re kind of lucky that I was the one to answer her call…”
Jeongin moved, standing right in front of you, staring down at you with those mismatched eyes of his, staring so intensely you started to feel weak in the knees. “To break the demon curse… You would have to either destroy the caster’s altar, or…”
Jeongin trailed off, his eyes darting all around your face, as if he was debating whether to tell you or not. You wanted to know, needed to know, so you pressed him further. “Or…?”
“Or…” His eyes snapped back up to yours, staring deeply into yours once again. “You can get the demon to stop it”.
“So you could–!”
“But!” Jeongin interrupted you, bringing a finger up to signal you to stop talking. “It’s not easy, nor cheap to get demons to stop curses. You’d have to pay a hefty price”.
With a sigh, you returned to your cleaning duties, moving past Jeongin to the basin in the kitchen, so you could start washing the plates there. “Who knows where that woman’s altar would be… Plus, I don’t have any money, and somehow I don’t think you’d give me a discount”.
Jeongin was silent for a while, but you knew he was still there, you’d become used to his presence, so you could tell when he was or wasn’t around you. Suddenly, you felt warmth at your back, which made you tense and still your movements, your hands still submerged in the basin. Jeongin’s hands appeared in your field of vision, gripping the basin’s rim, caging you right there, between his body and the goddamned basin. There was space between your bodies still, he kept his distance enough for you to feel him there but not to touch you, and somehow, deep, deep within you, an intrusive thought was forming, a dangerous, dangerous thought, worming itself into your brain and making it hard for you to stay in place.
“Money’s of no use to demons, darling. The price for getting a demon to release the curse that’s been placed on you will differ from demon to demon, to be honest…” Jeongin’s tone was low, his breath fanned your neck, and you couldn’t help the shiver that ran down your spine. You hoped he hadn’t noticed, but considering how close you were the chances were slim. If he did notice, he didn’t say anything. “As for me, if you want me to, I’ll consider what that price might be, my dear”.
The sudden lack of his warmth once he retreated from your frame made your head spin, that is, until he talked again. “But until then, remember. You are cursed”, the water from the basin splashed upwards, soaking you from head to toe as a gasp left your mouth. You whipped your face back to stare daggers at him, but all you saw was his snickering form for a few seconds, until he disappeared under wisps of smoke.
Tumblr media
You’d truly gone and done it this time. You weren’t sure how you allowed yourself to get in this situation again, but here you were, looking at your few belongings going down the river. It was that same governor again, the one whose wife had cursed you. You had no proof, but you knew it was the truth.
The day before, you had had another encounter with him. Once again, he was mistreating one of your friends, screaming at her and pushing her around for things you didn’t care about. All you cared about was just how unfair the entire thing was, so you got involved, getting between the man and your friend, even pushing him back and calling him an ‘abusive monster’. You should’ve known he would do something like this, if the look of disgust on his face and his words of ‘how dare you speak to me like that? Looks like someone must be punished, too’ were anything to go by.
You had taken your friend’s hand in yours and ran away from there as quickly as you could, but he had seen you, so now, you were paying the price. You couldn’t help but sob, the tears running freely down your cheeks as you stood there on the bridge. Oh, how you hated him… You hated that man more than you hated the king, which was saying something. But you were powerless, there was nothing you could do against someone like him, you were but a palace maid, after all. A palace maid with no money, no connections, no power…
Even in your emotionally broken state, you still felt Jeongin’s presence when he appeared next to you. You could feel his gaze burning as he stared at you, but you couldn’t look back at him, all you did was continue to cry as the last piece of your belongings got lost in the distance. Shutting your eyes tightly, you brought your hands to your face, sobbing and hiding from him and his searing gaze.
“I’ve thought about it”, Jeongin said abruptly. With the tears that clouded your vision, you could barely see his form when you opened your eyes and looked at him. “About the price to stop your curse. I know what I want in exchange”.
You hiccuped, unsure of why he was talking about this now of all times. “What does this have to do with anything?”
“It has everything to do with it, my dear. Everything”, Jeongin stepped into your space, and, to your utter bewilderment, he cupped your cheeks, his eyes intently scanning the features of your face.
It was odd for Jeongin to touch you. He hardly ever got this close to you, you could count the encounters with one hand–the first day when you woke up with him cuddled up in your arms, one night when you sat down by the Queen’s pond under the moonlight and he slung his arm over your shoulder in a friendly–or almost friendly–gesture, the other day when he almost, almost pressed his chest to your back… Had you always remembered these things in detail? Maybe you had… Your hands trembled slightly under his heavy gaze, loaded with so many emotions your teary eyes and racing mind could not even decipher any of them.
“Jeongin…?” Your voice was barely a whisper, the surprise of having his hands on you effectively stopping the tears from spilling from your eyes.
“I don’t like it when you cry”, he was dead serious, his fox-like eyes scrutinising every single feature on your face.
Your lower lip quivered slightly, tears threatening to fall again under his disapproving tone. “I can’t help it, Jeongin…”
“No, you don’t understand”, his hands tightened their hold on your cheeks, essentially forcing you to pout slightly. “I don’t like it when you cry. I can’t stand it”.
Confusion fell on your features, only for a moment, the expression replaced with that of shock as you suddenly felt Jeongin’s lips on yours, pressing a soft, brief, and almost shy kiss to your lips, making your heart do involuntary flips in your chest with the action. When Jeongin pulled back from your lips, his eyes were still dead serious, yet you couldn’t help but notice the slight pink tint on his cheeks, and the feel of his thumbs softly stroking your cheeks.
“You shouldn’t be crying, you’re too pretty to cry”.
You blinked slightly, the unshed tears that had pooled in the corners of your eyes falling with the motions, even when you suddenly didn’t feel like crying anymore. “So you… You think I’m ugly when I cry?”
“A bit, but I like you regardless”, he sounded so sure when he said it, and your jaw could’ve dropped to the floor right then and there.
“Jeongin you… You’re supposed to be haunting me. You’re supposed to be my curse. What are you talking about?”
“Do you really think what I’ve been doing this past year is what being cursed is truly like?” His thumbs wouldn’t stop moving, each stroke making you shiver, making your mind wander into those dangerous territories deep within you that you dared not acknowledge. “My dear, I’m an inconvenience at most. When I first met you, I knew I couldn’t curse you curse you. I had to, because that’s what demons do when summoned, but I couldn’t fully do it, you were too good of a soul for that. If I had, you most likely wouldn’t be alive right now”.
“…Thanks?” You couldn’t help but blink repeatedly, shocked at this sudden piece of information. Your brain was racing, looking back into the past year at incredible speeds as you dissected every single encounter with Jeongin–the ones you could vividly remember anyway. He appeared next to you every single day without fail, he’d be a nuance, he’d prank you, he’d tease you, he’d keep you company, he’d walk next to you at night chasing away any person you didn’t know, he’d talk you out of speaking out of line with officials, and he’d–oh… Oh.
“The governor…” Jeongin’s hands finally moved away from your face, settling on your shoulders, squeezing them lightly. “It’s about time he gets a taste of his own medicine”.
“I can’t do–”
“But I can”, a mischievous smile crept onto Jeongin’s lips. “I’ll do anything so you don’t cry anymore. I’ll ruin him, if that’s what you want. But you’d need to pay the price for me to stop your curse. If I do anything with the curse still in place, it could hurt you”.
“What’s your…” You gulped, your eyes jumping from his red one to his blue one a few times. “What’s your price?”
“Your heart”, his hands moved from your shoulders to your upper arms, gently squeezing the flesh there, the mischievous smile he had on his lips now turning to a sincere one. “Not literally, of course. But I want you for me, I want your affections. I think that’s a fair price to pay, considering you have already gotten mine, whether you planned it–wanted it–or not”.
Your hands trembled slightly as you reached for his arms, not to pull him away but just to get a hold of something–anything–sturdy to keep you up, since you suddenly felt light-headed. Was he… Was Jeongin confessing to you? Jeongin the demon? How could you have possibly endeared a demon enough for him to even consider breaking your curse? It was crazy, ludicrous, absurd… But the craziest, most ludicrous, most absurd part, was that–as you stared into his fox-like, two-toned eyes–you realised Jeongin had endeared you, too. He had all this time, even when he annoyed you sometimes, you liked his presence near you, close to you, more so than you ever did any other human.
Before you could even register what you were doing, your hands found the collar of his shirt, pulling him to you. His eyes went wide in surprise at the sudden movement, you saw it for only a second, though, as your eyes closed when your lips connected to his immediately after. A surprised yelp left Jeongin, his body tensing up and unmoving at the contact. His lack of response started to worry you, it made you think you had made a mistake, that you had misinterpreted his actions, but right as you were about to pull away from him, you felt his hand on the back of your head, tilting you ever so slightly to deepen the kiss as his lips started to move against yours.
His free hand found your waist, pulling you flush to him as his tongue swiped over your bottom lip. Your breath hitched in your throat at the contact, your lips parting slightly in surprise. Jeongin took advantage of the opening, sneaking his tongue in your mouth to shyly brush against yours. You had kissed people before, a handful of them, but never had anyone gotten their tongue inside your mouth. You’d only ever read about it in the adult novels you’d shamefully indulge in in the confines of your sleeping quarters, the novels that were filled to the brim with sinful words and fantasies that hardly ever reflected your cruel reality.
Your tongue pushed back against Jeongin’s firmly, eagerly, finding a rhythm as you continued to kiss. Your hands moved from where they held onto his shirt so your arms could cross around his neck and pull him closer to you as his arms wrapped around your waist. It was so much, it felt like so much, so much of Jeongin, and you felt fire burning in the pit of your stomach, you felt yourself craving him and his touch.
When your lips separated, you didn’t pull away, nor did Jeongin. You held onto each other, your faces still close to each other as your chests heaved and you panted lightly, looking into each other’s eyes, your gaze getting lost in those two-toned eyes of his that had plagued your mind since the first time you saw them.
“Jeongin…” Your voice was barely a whisper, your arms still holding onto him tightly.
“Hmm?” His arms tightened even more around your waist, as if he was trying to pull you even closer to him, as if he was trying to prevent you from leaving his hold.
“Is this part of the curse? The way that I’m feeling right now, are you doing this with your magic?”
Jeongin chuckled softly, smirking. “Who do you take me for? I don’t do shortcuts, my dear. At least not with this, there’s no fun in that. Besides, you think I would’ve asked for your heart if I could’ve influenced it like this with my magic?”
“I suppose not…” You had the overwhelming urge to kiss him, so you did, pressing a soft peck against his lips only to pull back right after. “But you are a demon, after all…”
“That I am”, Jeongin’s arms released their hold on you, only to let his hands find purchase on your waist, holding you tightly. “But I am your demon, after all”.
You looked deeply into his eyes in silence for a moment. This was crazy. It was nuts. But you realised then that regardless of your wish to make the governor pay, you were willing to give your heart to Jeongin, even if he gave you nothing in return. So you told him this, how you wanted for him to continue being your demon, as long as he wouldn’t make you work extra with his stupid pranks.
“But where’s the fun in that?” Jeongin chuckled, moving his hands to rest on the small of your back, tracing shapes there, having you shiver under his touch on those previously unexplored areas of your body. Sure, you had let people touch you, but not this… Creatively. People, men, usually had one goal in mind, there were only four places for them to touch and grope to reach that goal, rear, core, and breasts, and it wasn’t like they were particularly good at touching those.
As you let Jeongin hold onto you, you figured a demon had a broader imagination when it came to touching someone intimately. You’d lie if you said you weren’t trembling with excitement at the thought, realising then you would really let this demon do anything to you, anything to feed this fire burning bright inside of you. And possibly his, too.
“Direct your need to annoy people somewhere else, then”, your face came close to his once again, your mouth coming shy of his, not pressing a kiss yet, only for your lips to brush against his with every word you said. “Ruin him, Jeongin. Ruin the governor. Make him suffer for me… You already have my heart, you always had”.
Jeongin leaned in, connecting his lips to yours and sneaking his tongue inside your mouth in a heated kiss, groaning into your mouth. His hands greedily roamed the planes of your back, only to finally settle one on your nape and the other on the small of your back, pulling you impossibly closer to him, eliciting the most embarrassing sounds to spill from your mouth.
“I knew you were going to be fun, my dear”, Jeongin whispered against your mouth, pressing another peck to your lips. “I’ll give you anything you want. We’re going to have so much fun”.
“I can’t wait”, was all you could reply with a giggle as you reconnected your lips to his.
You had always been a moralistic person, a person that wanted justice to be made, even when you were considered nothing by those above you. But now, with Jeongin, you felt like you could do anything, like you could bring justice to this world. All as you enjoyed his company, his touch, and his affections. And you truly, truly could not wait.

for kim possible - 🕷️🐇 🎀
From this list. Thank you!
🕷️a character you feel is underrated?
I defaulted to villains automatically, lol... The thing with KP characters, is they all have a schtick. Many have a punny name or something that speaks to their schtick, and the villains often have an origin story presented in their debut episode.
This was a hard choice, because I waffled between underrated by the creators and underrated by the fandom. And I was also stuck between villain and non-villain. So I'm gonna name one of each.
For non-villain, Wade. Underrated, you say!? Yeah... He's just the swoop in with magic technology guy. That's all there is to him. I'd have loved to see more than that in canon and in fandom. And I'm guilty of it too, just using him as a plot device. But that's all he gets... Me, I think he has potential to be either a criminal mastermind OR the sort of guy who walks the moral line but hires out his services for good ultimately... But criminal potential is there.
For a villain, Duff Killigan. Underrated by all (except GT, lol everyone go read RTD). This is another one who we never got the connecting dots from A to Z. Okay he became a villain because he got kicked off of golf courses for his temper... So where did his tech knowledge come from?? Why did he go into exploding golf balls and trying to steal top secret battle-suits (Centurion Project)? There's potential in here but I feel he never got fully utilized by canon or fandom, but I can't really blame fandom for any underrating because canon gave up on him too.
🐇 a fandom you’ve been in the longest?
Ahh I'll answer how long I've been in KP, and then others that have surpassed it, since you specified KP. I watched KP when it first aired and then didn’t come back to it again until 2019. It remained the diehard brainrot until Soul Eater came at me out of nowhere last August.
My longest fandom… Bonanza, or Star Trek. I think Bonanza may technically be the longest, but Star Trek is the fandom of my heart.
🎀 a ship others like but you don’t?
Ooooh... Well, there's the obvious (KiGo- hard no on minor/adult). But…okay I decided I can’t pick one. I’m gonna pick a ship genre. As I was thinking about this, I realized the ones I don’t like are the ones that don’t seem to have any canon basis but only exist either for 1) character to sleep with other character, or 2) thinly veiled self insert as a character…in order to sleep with other character.
It kinda seems like most ships other than Kim/Ron and Drakken/Shego exist just for people to write smut. A lot of KiGo seems that way too but I’ll credit those shippers with some genuine story and not just pwp. But yeah there’s some ships… yeah that’s as much as I wanna think about it right now. If you want me to elaborate, do ask!

Hi there! Your post about brain age stuck a chord with me; I got significant brain damage in an accident when I was 20, and I've been struggling to take control back from a bunch of well-meaning and overprotective people, ranging from my neurologist to my siblings. So thank you for that. I do have a question for you. I've found a lot of the people who use the brain development age are the people who (idk what word to use for this) self-infantilize themselves. Why do you think people do this, and how can we combat this? I find that it's harder to argue against when they want to be protected, and that they think I need to be protected.
This is a great question. I have some thoughts on why people tend to self-infantilize. If people think of something as desirable for themselves, it's harder to convince them that it's wrong to do to others. Theoretically, even if people infantilize themselves, we should be able to tell them that it's wrong to do to other people without their consent -- but since the root of infantilization is the premise that the subject is incapable of meaningfully consenting to things, that doesn't necessarily work.
So anyway, I have some theories. I think there's significant overlap between this worldview and the medical model of mental difference. This is specific to a U.S. Cultural context; other people can weigh in on how this does/doesn't apply in other places/cultures.
Our society is obsessed with blaming people's external circumstances on their "bad choices." Underpaid? Your fault for not choosing a better job! Abused? Your fault for being so abusable! People will comb through every bit of struggling/oppressed people's history to find something they "did wrong" that would justify whatever bad thing happened to them or was done to them. In particular, there's tremendous emphasis on "bad decisions" in youth (if you skip algebra class, it will go on your Permanent Record and your life will be RUINED!). In this context, it can seem liberatory to counteract that narrative with "My problems aren't the fault of my bad choices; I'm a child much too young to be capable of even making choices."
Similarly/relatedly to the above, in the age of mass incarceration, trying minors as adults, and a general pattern of incarcerating marginalized young people to long prison sentences for relatively petty crimes, pushback to this policy heavily centers the idea that the wrongness of this cruelty is rooted in young people being essentially incapable of making choices and therefore not being truly responsible for their actions.
Young people (meaning both minors and young adults) are relentlessly sexually objectified. Obviously, most people don't become comfortable being sexually objectified just because they turn 18, but some young adults contextualize this as "It's wrong to sexualize me because I'm A Child" rather than "The way people sexually objectify young people is dehumanizing and harmful."
Relatedly, because young people are often disempowered, and it's socially acceptable to treat young people like garbage, young people are often targeted for abusive/exploitative relationships, financial arrangements, and other abusive and exploitative situations, and this targeting often kicks up when young people come of age, because they then may have resources they can legally access and sign away. People victimized by this are encouraged to see the problem as "I am a child and they are a child abuser" rather than "I was/am denied social and economic power and was put in a desperate situation, which they exploited.
People who grew up with unsupportive parents may conceptualize that lack of support as "I'm an immature child, and they've forced me to grow up too soon, but if they recognized that I'm still a child, they would take better care of me."
Basically, short version: I think young adults are encouraged to self-infantalize, even though I think it's contrary to their long-term interests (not that they asked me), because young people are treated like hot garbage, and young adults are encouraged to frame this problem as "I'm being denied the protections that children get," but I think they're mistaken, because children are absolutely not protected in the first place.

Random ass Porsche&Pete thoughts at 4pm while at work because KP has destroyed any resemblance I might have had to being an adult.
Ok. So. May I suggest that the best scene in the entire show kind of came out of nowhere? I'm of course talking about the Porsche&Pete bathroom scene in ep13, yes it's the best scene, no I do not accept criticism.
What do I mean by that? Well, we as an audience member, who know what Pete went through, who know why he returns to the compound in ruins, understand why Porsche is questioning Pete and why he's heated.
But can I suggest that we see this from a different perspective for a hot second?
Why is Porsche so insistent in knowing what happened to Pete? Why is he so angry? Why does he want to punish the people who made him suffer?
Obviously he would, right? Pete is his friend and he came back home in shambles. The people responsible need to pay.
But why is Porsche paying attention to Pete now? Why does he care now?
Think about it. Has Porsche ever done that in the show? Has he paid ANY attention to Pete prior to episode 13, when he realized Pete might be in danger? Because I can't think of anything at all.
I've rambled about their relationship before - it was actually my first post on Tumblr lol, crazy - and it continues to haunt me. How complex it is and not just "a friendship".
I wholeheartedly believe that what drives Porsche to push Pete so hard during their talk in the bathroom is guilt. He would never admit it, he doesn't even realize it, but that's what it is.
Because he forgot about Pete too. He may have gotten mad at Kinn for sending him to the minor family compound- you can see his fiery expression for a little more than a second when Tankhun talks to them both in ep13 - but he shares the blame too. Not as much as Kinn, but as his supposed friend, he does. And he knows it.
We never saw if Kinn told Porsche about Pete's mission so we can't know if Porsche knows about its significance (in the novels he knows and gets extra mad at Kinn for it, but the novels have different context altogether so we'll ignore it). I'd like to think he did, because Porsche as a character demands explanations constantly throughout the series.
Take all of the above I've mentioned and try to remember the scene again (if you've managed to forget it because I sure af haven't). To me, that's Porsche trying to correct a mistake, not him being a good friend.
Because Porsche was a lot of things but a good friend wasn't one of them.
Pete may have not thought of that, because he had other things to worry about at that moment before he'd even think of questioning Porsche's motives, but I want to believe that he eventually did wonder about them. Especially when Porsche suggested they go to Hum Bar.
It may have been a fleeting thought. It may have been just a couple of seconds of his bodyguard instincts kicking in before they were drowned in his despair. But I want to believe it happened.
What I'm wondering is what interpretation he gave to Porsche's behavior. I'm sure it was the most logical and not at all him dismissing his own self worth :)
[Shameless self promo of my Heroes and Villains series that touch upon this very concept through an alternate canon that manages to emphasize the sacrifice Pete made and Porsche's guilt about his mistake, because I'm working on the 3rd installment which I hope will get posted before 2024 comes.]
