Scouts Ma: oh man I have so many ideas for her hehehhe. Okay so her name is Jenny, shes Puerto Rican, moved to Boston when she was a young adult, and she’s around the same height as sniper. She’s green because she’s both the scouts mother, and I didn’t want her to be purple like Pauling and Admin I wanted her to be her own person. Her heart locket contains a bunch of pictures of her boys that all cartoonishly fold out to the floor when she opens it up.

She’s bi and poly, and currently dating both the spies because I think it’s funny. I can’t decide if both the spies would also be dating each other or would hate each other, maybe it depends on the time of day. Oh also she used to be an assassin! Maybe that’s why she had to move because she got found out at her old hometown. Anybody who got too rough with her boys were never seen again, only reason the scouts made it out alive lol.

She’s only recently gotten back together with the spies, had a falling out with Red before she knew she was pregnant, but he wanted to reconnect with her after finding out Red scout was his kid. Blu and her were friends for a really long time, she was the surrogate mother to Blu scout, but they fell out of contact when Blu spy had to take scout and disappear due to some espionage work gone wrong. When both the Blus join the team, the red scout recognized them and Blu spy eventually reconnected with Jen through that.

All of her kids are out of the house and she’s retired, so she has a lot of free time. She hosts foreign exchange students and fosters baby animals. She does a lot of traveling and shopping, she also likes knife and axe throwing, while doing some abstract sculpting on the side.

Maggie:

I love Maggie she’s so interesting,, I really like the panels where she’s laughing with saxton on the plane. Oh yeah gave her a mustache cus she’s Australian!, don’t be shy give the pretty lady a mustache she deserves it. That line on her lip was from this one girl I had a crush on back in high school, she said that she was bullied for it. don’t think I’ve ever seen it on another person since. She was one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met. I hope she’s doing alright. She was a really good friend, real wonderful person.

hi Merasmus how r u. oh yeah I’m trying out some other designs for her because I’m working on a little animated series about her and a magic spell she fucks up. I want her to be Sumerian because Sumer is so interesting!! I’ve been learning about the art from it in class, check out the Sumerian virtue status or the Epic of Gilgamesh they’re some of my favorite bits of history we’ve learned so far. Oh yeah also I think when she takes off that weird cap thing she has the longest most beautiful curly hair that goes down to her ankles because I love those kind of visual gags hehe. Also yeah she has piercings idk why I did that. I think she’s kinda blind and she uses her skull to see with her magic or whatever. These are some characters from Testaments of the Green Sea. If there are other characters that you want to ask about, go ahead!

Narul is a big hunk of a man, a big big big hunk. Nine feet tall and who knows who many feet wide. Narul is a spiritblood, a demigod. Though he is supernaturally big and strong and has an immortal lifespan, his upbringing has not done wonders for his self-esteem. He once the slave of King Hutbari. He is the definition of a gentle giant; soft spoken, shy, and happy to follow. Picture Gilgamesh or Herakles with severe social anxiety and a love of flowers. He's bi, not that it really matters he's terrified of just about any sort of intimacy. He acts as Ninma's adoptive father. (A bit of a longer intro here)

Ninma is the polar opposite of Narul. The youngest of the many children of King Hutbari, Ninma is unusually short for her age (5). Despite this she is hot-headed and opinionated. She has little fear of danger and has a tendency to get herself into trouble. Despite this she is deeply caring and already has a well developed sense of justice. Despite only being five she is one of the few literate characters in the little found family that she shares with Narul. (Her intro here)

Otilia is a runaway noblewoman and lesbian from the lands of Korithia. She is clever and sly, her mind and tongue sharpened by years spent at her merchant father's side. She once married to a man in Korithia, however that relationship quickly turned sour and abusive. That is why she is in Kishetal, running from her terrible husband. While on the run in Kishetal she eventually ends up in the company of Narul and Ninma. (Here is her intro)

Shela was also once the daughter of a merchant, though her father was Kishite. A chain of events led to her being sold to the powerful oligarch Wadikir in order to cover a family debt. Now she works in the maze-like passages of the Hall of Oaths, keeping track of the single largest collection of Knowledge in the world. Shela is a short and squat woman though she moves with grace. Though she can't read, years among scholars and record-keepers has afforded her with a certain amount of knowledge. She enjoys a chat and is a warm and friendly person, who feels emotions quite intensely. Perhaps years spent in dark tunnels have made her hungry for human interaction (Her intro is here).

Suru is Narul's adoptive younger brother. Suru is nothing like Suru, small and sickly, almost skeletal. He looks like he could be blown over by a gust of wind. Despite this Suru is incredibly cocky and charismatic. Though he is currently enslaved he dreams of seeing the world.

Akard is the son of the deposed King of Labisa, Kurush. This also means that he is Ninma's cousin. Akard was born in exile in the desert kingdom of Apuna. He was raised from birth to help his father reclaim the throne of Labisa. He is cunning, brave, and noble. The picture of what a king should be, though his terminal illness flares his ambitions to an at times dangerous degree. (His intro is here)

Zenit is a seer, a person capable of using spirits in order to receive visions of possible futures and of distant places. But this gift has had a terrible effect on her body. Though young her hair is already silver, her cheeks hollow, and her skin pale. Though her abilities give her supernatural vision, her actual vision has been taken from her. She was once the servant of Hutbari until she was freed at the hands of Akard. She is intelligent and strategically minded, though quiet.

Zatar is tall, dark, and dangerous. The child of a mysterious giantess from the northern forests and minor noble, he was abandoned to the streets. He is a temperamental and violent person, with a particular proclivity for causing harm to others. He was once purposeless, stalking the streets of Labisa like a rabid wolf, that is until he met Akard. Now he serves him a fanatical loyalty. He is the Wrath of Akard, and none dare to stand before him. (His intro is here)

Istek is a pirate. He is a loud and excitable man, an amazing story-teller, and unfortunately he has next to no tact. In his early fifties he possess a luxurious beard and many strange tattoos. He is quite short, though you would never guess it by the amount of noise he makes. He is friendly and more than a bit of a flirt. Despite how much he talks he is also a good listener and will eagerly spend hours nodding along to your stories. His two partners are Sihunu and Dati.(His intro is here)

Dati is the last member of a race of ancient warriors, now he sails with his partner Istek, working either as a pirate or a mere merchant depending on what the situation entails. He is tall and handsome, the only hint to his forestfolk ancestry, is the tail that can occasionally be seen swishing behind his back. Where Istek is loud and friendly, Dati is tight-lipped and serious. However once you get to know him he is quite friendly and will gladly chat about this or that. (His intro is here)

Sihunu is the third member of the Pirate Polycule, though as of late she has been landlocked as she takes care of their child, Lat. She is a skilled craftsperson and was once the primary carpenter aboard their ship, The Westwind. Sihunu was once a dancer and though her dancing days are long behind her, she retains a certain grace and poise. Sihunu is a no nonsense type of person, straight faced and serious. Don't talk to her, if she wants to talk to you she will find you. Its somewhat surprising that a person like her would be partners with the ball of energy and sexuality that is Istek.

Penetinos was once a priest of a Korithian Temple. He is a sage and was once renowned for his skill and power in the ways of magic. That changed when he discovered his illness. Disillusioned and scared, he left the temple and chose to explore the world. He is a kindly old man and the perfect tutor for anyone that wants to know about the world. He is patient and kind, he loves to read and to learn new things, though his age and condition keep him from exploring quite as extensively as he wishes. He knows that one day his illness will kill him, but he doesn't know when and he tries not to let that concern him. He is close friends with Istek, though Penetinos's asexuality somewhat bamboozles the flirtatious pirate captain. (Here is his intro)

Bop, once the Ripper of Cedars, is a powerful wind spirit, the sort of entity that could once rip trees and houses off of the side of mountains, casting them down to valleys far below. That was until they were captured and trapped in a magical hammer. Now they have forgotten most of their past and instead they reside in the Hammer of Tamel, now in the possession of Narul. Bop is curious and kind, just as eager to learn how the world has changed and to comfort Narul in his time of need. (Here is their intro)

Hi!!! Thank you for messaging me ☺ I really appreciate it! It's been a long time since I did askmeme on gilgablog so thank you for requesting him (i keep most fate thoughts private)! Sorry I will probably write a whole massive paragraph about him XD

My Gilgamesh opinions are very subjective here so they may not all be accurate, which is why I enjoy this ask a lot ^^

Sexuality Headcanon: I headcanon him as bi/pan, like yeah there's no denying he is also attracted to women, but his devotional relationship with Enkidu and kinky pleasure yuetsu time with Kirei is every bit as canon in my opinion!!!

Even his creepy obsession with Saber really hints to me personally that Gilgamesh may not discern his initial sense of attraction primarily by gender- I believe he may be attracted to people based off intangible traits that link to his personal sense of values as well; which cannot be as simply measured as gender.

So in my opinion GILGAMESH IS RATED E FOR EVERYONE!

Gender Headcanon: Though he is masc, man he/him I also feel as if Gilgamesh's gender is also just 'GILGAMESH'. Sometimes I wonder if Gilgamesh would see himself as beyond the convention of gender.

Also I heard from someone that gender can be very diverse in Ancient Mesopotamia so it would be really cool to see where Gilgamesh would slot his gender identity there... also can his pronouns be king of heroes/ king as well! I feel like he really defines himself by his role more than gender per se, and in one fate hanafuda game he says gender doesn't matter ☺👍

An OTP: ohh I love Gilgamesh ships so much 😊😊 Gilkidu is just so amazing in many ways I cannot even describe, Kotogil is incredible in their twisted dynamic .. and GilHaku is just so beautiful! And I love Gilgamesh x Merlin for the shenanigans... to be honest most Gilgamesh ships are my otp. I even really like Gilgamesh x reader/ oc fics and Ritsuka/ Guda ones depending on what the ocs are like! Oh I also like Gilgamesh x Cu as they can clash head on and go wild, as well as Gilgamesh x Ozymandias!

And a mutual introduced me to Achilles x Gilgamesh. I think it is a beautiful pairing as they have so much grief, love, power and arrogance in common.

A NOTP: I'm sorry Gilgamesh x Saber fans. I respect those who ship it but Gilgamesh is such a creep to Saber in my opinion, I like it when she doms him to smithereens and stomps on his pride though ☺🥳🥳🥳

BROTP: This is a hard one as I feel like his otps can be good otps, but seeing him hang out with Iskandar is always hilarious. Love how he actually listens to Taiga in the spin off games as well, so they could maybe enjoy a few drinks together. And Gilgamesh/Solomon/Merlin makes for great chaos.

Gilgamesh/Siduri/Enkidu is a powerful alliance and err what else... I feel like as long as they can entertain one another then Gilgamesh has the potential for many BROTPS.

Random Headcanon: He has golden nipple tassels that he unleashes whenever he has an urge to go full sexy, also I feel like though yes he does love pleasure and decadent desires the way he so tightly constrains and punishes himself sometimes makes me wonder if some of his hedonism is also used as a way to appear as an overwhelming figure to others.

I feel like Gilgamesh is definitely tyrannical and extremely powerful and charismatic... yet also has a side to him that is insecure as hell, his larger than life and genuine powerful and wise sides overcompensating for a side of him that is plagued with all sorts of self loathing and grief.

General opinion: I love this asshole!!!!!!!! Endless joy can be created from researching his character and reading, watching his materials, he is entertaining in such a wide variety of ways, and every side of him is a marvel to witness (though i wanna punch him sometimes too cuz holy crap is he horrendous at times).

He's a very complex and nuanced character that can be interpreted in a wide variety of ways so I am really irritated by how some people try to gatekeep Gilgamesh's character and throw him into a box, when Gilgamesh is such a versatile character! I hope that there will continue to be a space where people can enjoy Gilgamesh in as many different ways as possible, without there having to be some sort of 'fandom consensus' on which Gilgamesh opinions are most valid.

In your professional opinion, do you think Gilgamesh would be open for a poly relationship

absolutely! hell, even when he was with enkidu in his original life, i feel like he was probably fucking others too. he's definitely very possessive, so i feel like he might take issue for example of sharing hakuno with one of their other servants, but generally i think that possessiveness would also work well in the favor of a polycule. i think he could have relationships with multiple people at the same time, with him loving each person in a slightly different way, and being entertained by his multiple partners interacting with each other

i feel like gil wouldn't define himself with labels like either bi/pan or polyamorous, he just likes who he chooses to like and has relationships with them in whatever way he sees fit

28 - What got you into comics?

Hercules. For some reason, I guess bc I saw a beefy man in a skirt & blacked out, I bought the Greg Pak Incredible Hercules run one day on a whim and I loved it. I was obsessed with this large muscular man & his super smart friend Amadeus & their little adventures it was good. I went online once I finished, found there was a new solo called Still Going Strong, went back to Forbidden Planet & read that & I loved it too! I wasn't like majorly online, not in marvel fandom spaces at that time, so I didn't know unfortunately of Dan Abnett biphobia, although sir you did have Herc & Gilgamesh live together in a one bedroom apartment later with a genderfluid immortal seer & a woman from prehistoric times so task failed that was pretty bi & polyamorous of you? Anyway, then discovered Civil War 2: Gods of War, and went back to Forbidden Planet & bought & read that.

This was when I made a fatal mistake. See, Gods of War, which I loved, is a tie-in to Civil War 2. I, a fool not knowing anything about comics, rationalised to myself "hey. if this is a tie-in, I bet Hercules shows up in the main comic too bc they make a big deal out of it in the tie-in!". So I returned to the comic shop & purchased the collection of Civil War 2, which by the way was fucking expensive! & I read & hated it! the art was nice & that's all I'll say! The writing was sloppy & ridiculous, I barely understood who the Inhumans were, & I've never fully liked Carol since.

Anyway, I didn't touch comics again after that, not until I was watching MCU films with a friend whowas heavily into the MCU & Stucky. I had watched some of these but was mostly casual. This changed when I got out of Endgame & was suddenly angry about the fact that Vision hadn't shown up. Like, in a way I hadn't felt about them before. Anyway, I went online & discovered No Road Home was a thing. Hercules was there, Vision was there, Wanda was there, as was a bunch of characters I recognised, so I bought & read that and immediately became insane & I am now the incredibly annoying individual you see today.

40 - What's a comic that's so bad you ended up finding it funny?

I've talked abt it before but what the fuck was going on in Vision (1994). Why were they a detective. Why was their evil alternate universe self there. Why was Ultron an alcoholic. Why was Jocasta golden. They explain it all but do they really. What was Vision's roadtrip with alcoholic Ultron & Jocasta about what happened. There's just so much going on & it's so viscerally 90s but it's good??? 90s alcoholic Ultron come back the kids miss you.

41 - What's a comic that keeps on giving (you enjoy rereading)?

Age of Ultron #10 for sure, I've reread it many times & I love it so much. There's so much genuine hope & inspiration there, it's a comic I think everyone should read before they talk abt how horrible Hank is. Like it's the comic I come back to the most to explain why he resonates with me so much; because he so clearly struggles with himself, with others, with being a superhero, but there's positive sides to that too & I really appreciate after years of being given such a short stick or usually focusing on the worst of him, that Waid gave a real focus to the best. Mr Waid stop touching Dr Doom n get on Hank instead!!!
