I don’t care how many anti’s I have to fight to put out the fact that Billy deserved better. He doesn’t deserve to be in hell. Yes he was a shit person alot of the time but the examples that people bring up to say that he is a bad person being that he is racist and that he abused Max, these are learnt behaviours. No one is born a racist or an abuser. He learnt this from his dad. You guys are so fucking dumb for not being able to see this and how it effected him for being this way.

I’ve had a boyfriend in the past that was abusive to me. And you know why he was like that? Because of his dad. It doesn’t excuse his actions entirely but it provides an explanation as to why he was like that towards me. I hate him but I will always have sympathy towards him.

It’s the same deal with me. I didn’t grow up in a great family. Not going into detail but let’s just say there’s a reason why I kin Billy. And I was shit to my brother for a bit because I was dealing with shit but I got better and now we get along so much better and he is the only one to actually accept me in my family for being trans. I’m still somewhat toxic towards people that I care about and I suffer with really bad anger issues but I’m trying. And I relate to Billy cause you could see that he wanted to get better, to be better.

Billy is such an important character to me and a lot of other people that aren’t the perfect victim and that have been through shit. If you’re a Billy kinnie I’m here for you. If you’re a Billy fan I’m here for you. And if you’re a Billy Anti that hates him just because you can’t see what’s underneath and hate Billy fans and kinnies and will make fun of us get fucked.

I would just like to say, on my blog we do not hate on each other. no matter what you ship, what characters you like/hate, or your thoughts on what is happening with the new episodes of st, you are safe here.

People attach themselves to characters like billy Hargrove, Bucky Barnes (MCU), Hannibal (NBC), Loki (MCU), and Moriarty (Sherlock BBC) because they see some sort of reflection of themselves in those characters. We shouldn’t be sending people death threats for having attachments to traumatized characters, toxic characters, or villainous ones. You hate billy? Valid. Hate Hannibal? Understandable. for starters, you're ignoring the most significant factor

el was able to escape from the lab and has a loving family now

the biggest thing that el and billy have in common is that both of them lash out in anger and violence

el hitting angela with the roller skate after being pushed to the brink and billy hitting steve with the plate after being backed into a corner

also not to mention that throughout the entire montage of el discovering billy's past you literally see her cry for him.

because she knows EXACTLY what it's like to be alone, to have an abusive dad and to have a mom that's not present

although the difference between terry and billy's mom is that terry is brain dead and billy was abandoned by his mom

Fuck it. I kin Billy Hargrove from Stranger Things the same way I kin c!Schlatt and Bakugo.

I get that he’s a bigot and that he’s a fucking terrible person, I understand that. I understand why people fucking hate him because at first I absolutely hated him as well. I’m not going to sit and defend him fully but there’s an understanding that I have with Billy that’s the same that I have with other characters that are fucking assholes to the people around them that I kin. He’s very much to me like season 1 Bakugo.

I feel his complexity. I feel his trauma. And I know that that I progressed throughout my life is the same as him. The person that I am now is basically the version of him that I think he would’ve become if he had survived season 3. That he would’ve become a better person and he probably would’ve overcome his issues. He would probably relapse and be an asshole but he would still try to be better cause I think the realisation that people can be kind to him (like El) and if he realised that he was becoming alike to his dad would’ve pushed him to be better. I also think that he wouldn’t have been a bigot and he would’ve been fine with Lucas after a while of learning how to be better and not just a full on fucking asshole.

If you hate him for his actions and how he is I agree with you and if you love his character because you can see through him I also agree with you. I think we just all need to see that the people that do like him and do kin him aren’t bad people and that Billy isn’t as black and white of a character that all the people hate him make him out to be. But anyway see him as however you want I have nothing against anyone.
