my “friend” telling me that if i’m genderqueer i HAVE to use the label “nonbinary” and it’s most popular flag, even though i’m anonbinary and maverique, because “they’re all just the same thing, you just want to be special” is exorsexism!

(It’s double exorsexism that they keep mislabeling me as nonbinary and telling me that if I want them to stop doing that, I should just “accept myself” and “get comfortable with it” or identify as “just” binary trans 😟)

genderqueer people don't owe you simplicity. just because a term is very commonly used for an experience doesn't mean everyone with that experience has to use that term. definitions do not equal identity.

Rejectionary/Rejectionarian

A term for those who experience genders that are considered to be ends of binary/trinary spectrums (boy, girl, non-binary) but reject the view of their gender as being apart of these binaries/trinaries. It is an identity based in refusing to see genders as falling into boxes or on spectrums at all, and every gender as just its own thing because gender is a personal experience.

I made this label for those like myself who are "binary" gendered but have no interest in being seen as fitting into this category. But also, feel uncomfortable identifying with terms like non-binary or abinary or anonbinary boy/girl because those terms are just a new gender trinary. Your experience will always be non-conforming, genderpunk, weird, and/or genderqueer despite having a "normal" "binary" gender.

An orientation label for anyone- regardless of gender, personal alignment(s), or anything else -who is attracted to / prefers to partner with those who are not Binary / Xorgender ( regardless of their alignment / unalignment or any other factors. )

This can include ( but is not limited to ) those who are Agender, Abinary, Atrinary, Anonbinary, Midbinary, Nonbinary, Genderqueer, Xenic, Masc-aligned, Fem-aligned, Unaligned, Androgynous-aligned, and much much more!

( Any future terms which may fit the above definition but are not directly stated or currently exist are also included. )

This is an intentionally broad term and is meant to parallel Uranic, Neptunic, and Saturnic. However, unlike these terms, it is not limited to any form of alignment in it's definition ( e.g. Uranic only includes Masc-aligned nbs, Neptunic only includes Fem-aligned nbs, and Saturnic only includes Androgynous-aligned nbs ) and it explicitly includes attraction to everyone who is not Binary / Xorgender, not just Nonbinary individuals.

All Aspec and Anattractional individuals are welcome to it as well, including Oriented Anattractional and Oriented Aspec individuals! The coiner is Aspec and will not gatekeep anyone who feels that this term- or it's future subterms -are useful to them in some way.

I made this as a personal term for myself and a friend, as I am Multigender + Genderqueer and wanted a label which was not Juvelic ( i.e. did not factor in my gender, as it is flux ), did not include attraction to any Binary / Xorgenders ( I am Dionifreyic ), and also did not require me to label myself or my partner as Nonbinary to be included.

Don't be a prick to trans & varsex people (online dating edition)

If you are online dating, and are attracted to specific types of genitalia, but don't want to be an asshole towards trans, intersex, or altersex people, or don't want to lead them on - here's some advice.

Make it very clear in your dating profile what genitalia you are attracted to. You don't have to be graphic. You can just say the following:

"I am uncomfortable with mostly/fully androgenized genitalia in sexual settings. Please only contact if you currently have estrogenized genitalia." (Or, if you are willing to wait for sex, you can add "or are planning to have bottom surgery.")

Or

"I am uncomfortable with mostly/fully estrogenized genitalia in sexual settings. Please only contact if you currently have androgenized genitalia." (Or, if you are willing to wait for sex, you can add "or are planning to have bottom surgery.")

If you are also uninterested in ambiguous genitalia, you can specify that, too ("uncomfortable with mostly/fully estrogenized or ambiguous genitalia" or "uncomfortable with mostly/fully androgenized or ambiguous genitalia.")

And if you want to have biological children, say that too! ("I plan to have biological kids at some point.") Same goes for if you DONT want biological children ("I don't want biological kids, but I am willing to adopt" or "I am child free, and never plan on having kids.")

Absolutely DO NOT say "no trans/intersex/altersex people" (unless you are a prick.)

Being trans or cis says nothing about what genitalia or reproductive organs a person has (as intersex variations, sex reassignment surgery, and genital mutilation are all things that exist.)

can you explain / give some examples of anonbinary? I know it's neither nonbinary or binary, but not much else. Like what's it like to be that gender? How does someone figure out it fits them? if anyone else wants to comment on this ask please do. I want to learn about it.

anonbinary experiences could include:

xenogenders, since many xenogenders have no relation to the binary and may not feel nonbinary to the user due to nonbinary being a 'human' gender descriptor

orientationgenders, by virtue of being described by something that is not a binary or nonbinary gender descriptor

neurogenders, for the same reason as above

outherine genders, which are genders that are not described by preestablished gender descriptors (mainly masculine, feminine, androgynous, and neutral) and are also not xenine, are often described as not being nonbinary on top of not being binary

the above would include neogender umbrellas

some genderless/agender/experiences are anonbinary, as some may associate 'nonbinary' with genderness and thus feel that it doesn't describe their lack of gender

any labels that describe feeling that gender does not apply to oneself, that one has not experienced gender, that one is gender-unaligned, etc. for the same reason as above (feeling that 'nonbinary' is associated with having gender and therefore not applicable)

and probably more, but that's off the top of my head!
