Note
my “friend” telling me that if i’m genderqueer i HAVE to use the label “nonbinary” and it’s most popular flag, even though i’m anonbinary and maverique, because “they’re all just the same thing, you just want to be special” is exorsexism!
(It’s double exorsexism that they keep mislabeling me as nonbinary and telling me that if I want them to stop doing that, I should just “accept myself” and “get comfortable with it” or identify as “just” binary trans 😟)
this is exorsexism.
genderqueer people don't owe you simplicity. just because a term is very commonly used for an experience doesn't mean everyone with that experience has to use that term. definitions do not equal identity.

I think the term anonbinary (also known as etceterian/anodiean/etcegender) could be used more often. Many binaryn't people are also not nonbinary. How do you feel about the concept?
I think binary vs nonbinary is a false dichotomy (nice dichotomy IDIOT now what lies outside of it) and it's good to have more options

This is a blog for anonbinary people to talk about our experiences.
main @entropy-sea-system
this blog is mainly run by Firelight, I'm 25 (system is bodily 21), and use ey/em and some neopronouns. I'm genderqueer, alexigender, and genderflor, and id as some xenogenders, and anonbinary is one of my labels!!
The header and pfp are alternate anonbinary flags I and my headmate Rift made !!
This blog is sfw (mainly bc we would have no way of knowing ages of anons and are not comfortable with minors sending in nsfw asks) - which means no detailed talk of sexual acts (sexual attraction mentions that don't mention sex acts are not really nsfw, those are fine, also mentioning questioning regarding transition goals or dysphoria influencing sexual orientation or attraction is fine, we will tag it accordingly as genitalia mention or dysphoria if it applies, we also tag vent submissions as vent if anyone wants to filter these tags)
What is Anonbinary?
Anonbinary is a gender identity which means your gender is not binary or labelled as nonbinary.
One who is anonbinary may identify as genders other than binary genders and nonbinary, or may not identify with any genders at all. One may be fluid between anonbinary and genders that happen to be in the binary or nonbinary.
We will block rather than having a full dni list, sometimes we block for reasons unrelated to discourse also. That being said, this space is safe for all neurodivergent people, ppl who id w mogai labels, ppl w 'contradictory' labels (gaybian, mspec gay and lesbian, lesboy, turigirl, etc.), all system types. And if you disagree this page won't be one you want to be on anyway.

Are you...
Tumblr media
Toversadorre (pronounced toh-ver-sah-dor-raeh) describes an anonbinary person who is primarily attracted to binary men, androgyne individuals, androgynous aligned non-binary people, masculine aligned non-binary people, and non-aligned non-binary people.
Mod Note: Since there was some confusion on the Tolerrene poll, "anonbinary" IS a separate gender identity from "nonbinary". It refers to someone who is entirely outside of binary and nonbinary identities.

Anodiean flags
I decided to make some flags for Anodiean (an alternative term for Anonbinary/A-nonbinary I coined on rq, it's similar to how "Aphorian" is an alt. term for Abinary) using my Nonbinary flag remake colors. You don't have to use or prefer Anodiean to Anonbinary to use these but they are connected.
The first was made to be closer to the original Anonbinary flag, while the second is flipped to be more distinct.
Free for anyone to use, and help with image ids/ALT text is appreciated!

[ID: Three small pixel hearts of the following flags, Contrabinary, Anonbinary and Binaryless. End ID]
I genuinely did not think I could make the symbol for Binaryless work but honestly? It fucks and it's probably in the top five flags I've pixeled.

Cisn't Woman Pride Flag
Tumblr media
Cisn't (non-cis): an umbrella term for anyone who is not cis*. It includes trans people, as well as other gender modalities, such as isogender, ipsogender, ultergender, exparium, utrinque, sensgender, adgender, and demitrans (sometimes demicis for some).
Usually, this includes binary trans women, and some non-binary women. However, there are other binaryn't women, such as intrafeminine, extrafeminine, translunar, isolunar, transfieldian, anonbinary, those with culturally specific genders that are not essentially nonbinary or binary, cis or trans, etc.
In the case of women who were AFAB (assigned female at birth), they can consider themselves as not cis due to being multigender or demigender, for example. They may or may not have xenogenders, neurogenders, or orientationgenders.

flowers for u > 🌻🏵️🌺💮🌼🌻🏵️🌺💮🌼
also a four leaf clover 🍀
this is so sweet, thank you so much. 💛
giving this energy to people affected by exorsexism who follow this blog too.
just remember that being outside of the binary is a beautiful thing and there is no wrong way to do so. if you don't have a gender, you're beautiful. if you relate to the gender binary in some way, you're incredible. if your gender is neutral, you are amazing. if you have multiple genders, you are powerful. if your gender is fluid, you are marvellous. if your gender can only be described with concepts, objects or similar, you are radiant. if you have a partial gender, you are perfect. if you don't label your gender, you are awesome. if your gender is not related to the binary, you are outstanding. if you are questioning your gender, you are phenomenal. if your gender is specific to your culture, you are astonishing. if your gender is outside the binary and you don't identify as nonbinary, you are fabulous. if i didn't describe your gender here, you are still excellent and you matter so, so much.
shoutout to people who law gender leads to using terms that "don't go together". shoutout to nonbinary cis people, to enbyhets, to lesboys, to turigirls, to afab transfems, to amab transmascs, to boygirls. i love all of you.
shoutout to people whose genders lead to using terms that don't get much visibility. shoutout to trixics, torics, enbians, cenelians, maveriques, neutrois people, diamorics, pera people and so many more. i love you so much.
shoutout to people who avoid any gendered terms altogether. shoutout to people who just want to be called a person. shoutout to people who don't use gender-specific orientation terms. i love you, always.
shoutout to people outside the binary whose experience is often overlooked. shoutout to Black people, indigenous people and other people of colour, to disabled people, to fat people, to intersex people. i love you forever.
i love this community and our infinite diversity so much. things often feel so dire for us but gosh, you all are so loved.

MixteGender
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a gender that can be described as or similar to anonbinary, aporagender, genderfluid and/or quoigender/wtfgender. it is neither binary nor nonbinary, neither feminine, masculine, neutral or nonbinary but also all of those things together in a unified-null way, a completely different thing outside the binary apart from being nonbinary. it may fit under the nonbinary umbrella for some but it specifically doesnt because its detachment and simultaneous connection to both the binary and nonbinary. it feels like a fourth sort of experience of gender, neither neutral nor androgynous, not agender nor void or nullgender, not directly "girl/woman" or "boy/man".
those who use this gender may fluctuate in how they express their gender, this may be influenced by ones neurodivergence, disorders or any mental illness one may have, therefore making it a neurogender but does not have to be.
this gender falls under many different labels with similar descriptions and experiences but at the same time still doesn't quite fit them, making it very hard to understand and define ones gender.
Tumblr media
Etymology:
Mixte -> French, meaning Mixed/Joint pronunciation = "Mixed-aye/Mix-tay"
+ Gender
Tumblr media
Mixte May be used as a prefix for genders related to or similar/coined under this gender as subjenders. You may use this as a gender system.

Anonbinary Flag Redesign
(note that we did not coin this term, Firelight didn't like the existing flags so ey requested me (Rift) to make one and then we worked together on this bc ey gave a lot of input on the colors! ey came up with the concepts and I put the flag together)
The colors were chosen to bear some resemblence to the genderqueer flag and seem like shifted from colors associated with nonbinary flag (purple and yellow) and shifted from binary gender associated colors (pink and blue)
(Thus we landed on orchid and teal/mint to be away from those colors while being a distinct color but still alluding to them does that make any sense?) and are somewhat colors I (Firelight) happen to like. Reminds me of an orchid mantis (I did make another similar color scheme involving flag a while ago too the affectionaro flag !! I also coined that term!!)
Tumblr media
An alt with less colors that we came up with originally, it looks similar to the abinary flag but green, I (Firelight) chose green due to it being in the genderqueer and agender(as this is also an a- label though not all anonbinary ppl id as agender, and neither do I, but Rift does bc they're pangender)

flag id: a flag with 5 stripes. in order, they are dark faded green, very dark silver, near-black, copper brown, and orange. end id.
banner id: a 1500x150 teal banner with the words ‘please read my dni before interacting’ in large white text in the center. end id.
an alternate anonbinary flag for anon!
the top two stripes are very adjusted versions of the opposites of yellow and purple (colors from the nonbinary flag) and the bottom two stripes are colors not often associated with a binary gender, brown and orange. the black stripe in the middle is mostly for visual flow, but can also represent genderless/agender/adjacent anonbinary folks.
anon also mentioned wanting an alternate term for anonbinary, similar to how abinary has the alternate term aphorian. i came up with etceterian [pt: etceterian], inspired by the term etcegender, with both coming from the word 'etcetera'!
