Tumblr media
1. A behaviour.
2. A mirror of oneself.
3. A beginning of new thing.
4. Similarly a spike for destruction.
5. Pen to dumb and deaf.
6. Legacy of vices and virtue.
7. A stone of pathways of history.
8. A revolt, a freedom, a possession.

how to find literally any post on a blog in seconds (on desktop)
there are so many posts about ~tumblr is so broken, you can’t find any post on your own blog, it’s impossible, bluhrblub~
I am here to tell you otherwise! it is in fact INCREDIBLY easy to find a post on a blog if you’re on desktop/browser and you know what you’re doing:
url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant. every single post, every single time. in chronological order starting with the most recent post. note: it will not find #croissants or that time you made the typo #croidnssants. for a tag with multiple words, it’s just /tagged/my-croissant and it will show you everything with the exact phrase #my croissant
url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant/chrono will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the exact phrase #croissant, but it will show them in reverse order with the oldest first
url.tumblr.com/search/croissant isn’t as perfect at finding everything, but it’s generally loads better than the search on mobile. it will find a good array of posts that have the word croissant in them somewhere. could be in the body of the post (op captioned it “look at my croissant”) or in the tags (#man I want a croissant). it won’t necessarily find EVERYTHING like /tagged/ does, but I find it’s still more reliable than search on mobile. you can sometimes even find posts by a specific user by searching their url. also, unlike whatever random assortment tumblr mobile pulls up, it will still show them in a more logically chronological order
url.tumblr.com/day/2020/11/05 will show you every post on the blog from november 5th, 2020, in case you’re taking a break from croissants to look for destiel election memes
url.tumblr.com/archive/ is search paradise. easily go to a particular month and see all posts as thumbnails! search by post type! search by tags but as thumbnails now
url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio will show you every audio post on your blog (you can also filter by other post types). sometimes a little imperfect if you’re looking for a video when the op embedded the video in a text post instead of posting as a video post, etc
url.tumblr.com/archive/tagged/croissant will show you EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant, but it will show you them in the archive thumbnail view divided by months. very useful if you’re looking for a specific picture of a croissant that was reblogged 6 months ago and want to be able to scan for it quickly
url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio/tagged/croissant will show you every audio post tagged with the specific phrase #croissant (you can also filter by photo or text instead, because I don’t know why you have audio posts tagged croissant)
the tag system on desktop tumblr is GENUINELY amazing for searching within a specific blog!
caveat: this assumes a person HAS a desktop theme (or “custom theme”) enabled. a “custom theme” is url.tumblr.com, as opposed to tumblr.com/url. I’ve heard you have to opt-into the former now, when it used to be the default, so not everyone HAS a custom theme where you can use all those neat url tricks.
Tumblr media
if the person doesn’t have a “custom theme” enabled, you’re beholden to the search bar. still, I’ve found the search bar on tumblr.com/url is WAY more reliable than search on mobile. for starters, it tends to bring posts up in a sensible order, instead of dredging up random posts from 2013 before anything else
if you’re on mobile, I’m sorry. godspeed and good luck finding anything. (my one tip is that if you’re able to click ON a tag rather than go through the search bar, you’ll have better luck. if your mutual has recently reblogged a post tagged #croissant, you can click #croissant and it’ll bring up everything tagged #croissant just like /tagged/croissant. but if there’s no readily available tag to click on, you have to rely on the mobile search bar and its weird bizarre whims)

The dark side of fandoms (Cyberbullying,
toxic fandoms, etc)
Tumblr media
One vibrant and influential phenomenon stands out in the vast landscape of digital communities: fandom. These passionate communities, brought together by their love of a specific show, book series, movie franchise, or celebrity, have found a new home in the digital sphere. Fandom, which was once limited to fan clubs and conventions, has transcended physical barriers to become a global force via online platforms and social media, redefining how enthusiasts connect, engage, and celebrate their shared interests. The prevalence of toxicity and conflicts is one of the most serious ongoing issues in digital fandoms. Despite the sense of community that often characterizes fandoms, differences in opinions, interpretations, or preferences can lead to heated debates. These disagreements, whether over character arcs, storylines, or shipping preferences (favorite character relationships), frequently cause fandom division. Harassment, gatekeeping, and cyberbullying become more prevalent in online spaces, undermining the inclusive and supportive environment that fandoms strive to foster. Let us explore more deeply the dark side of fandom and why it is important to know about it.
1. Stereotype
getting stereotyped by people online can be a bit tad uncomfortable and offensive. One example would be according to Fenton (2023), there are several relevant literature that implies the existence of stereotypical views that football are not for woman and they lack the knowledge and only hop on the bandwagon due to popularity. There are numerous stereotypes in many various topics, themes, and fandoms and not only gender stereotyping is the main issue, but there could also be religion, culture, race, and others that are important as well.
2. Harassment
Tumblr media
When an individual goes against the favorable side of other online users the chances of one getting harassed can vary from low to high depending on the degree and severity of the argument and debate sparks when communicating. Marginalized creators have faced growing harassment within their own communities, often for complicated and messy narratives that do not fit into shared notions of body positivity, sex positivity, and other concepts that are so taken for granted as a universal good that not suggesting to them can be seen as problematic (Bee 2018). These bad issues usually stem from toxic fans or fandoms. Toxic behavior in fandoms includes a variety of negative actions such as gatekeeping, exclusion, and hostility towards specific groups or individuals. Certain fans assert authority over others based on their perceived level of knowledge or dedication, excluding newcomers or those with opposing viewpoints. This behavior fosters an unwelcoming environment and undermines the inclusive nature that fandoms should exemplify.
Rising up to face the challenges
Despite the occurrences of cyberbullying, people have taken steps and actions to help mitigate and dispose of any elements of cyberbullying. In the end, fandoms are all about connection and community. They bring people from all walks of life together around a common interest or obsession, and they break down barriers that would normally separate these people. Fandoms provide a place for the outcast or underdog to be accepted, to have their voices heard, and to find meaning, allowing themselves to share what they stand for and advance the causes they believe in through fan-led movement (Wattpad Brand Partnerships 2021). When the positive values and elements are overpowering the negative elements it may help in not only reducing cyberbullying but also increasing the positivity of having a healthy fandom that brings communities together all around the world. Hence to concurrently combat these dark side fandoms, the way is to remove the roots of the problem completely by identifying the focal point of the cyberbullying and take actions such as enforcement of authorities and rules as well as instilling positive movements to spread among communities.
Conclusion
In conclusion, while digital fandoms have grown into centers of creativity, passion, and community, ongoing problems continue to test the inclusive and supportive environment that defines an ideal fandom. Within these communities, toxicity, conflicts, tensions between fans and creators, representation issues, and gatekeeping persist. To address these ongoing issues, both fans and content creators must work together to create a more inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment for all enthusiasts to engage, celebrate, and express their shared love for the content they adore. These communities demonstrate the impact of shared passion, creativity, and connectivity on popular culture and industry. Fandoms continue to evolve, adapt, and thrive despite challenges, demonstrating the enduring strength of collective enthusiasm in the digital age.

Today as I was reading 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and 'Dune', I noticed that I actually stop noticing great writing. It is not that the writing became terrible all of a sudden for both of the novels, it is just that the writings are not stark as before. So what do I mean by that. Well for one I learn everything on my own so I know the process and the knowledge that I have absorbed. So I did not take any notes down or even copy a passage down to analyse. What this mean is that I have learned to process great writing. So my advice to you is that try to notice everything while reading. Even the fact that you do not notice great writing. Notice that. That just means you have processed how to read great writing.
As for my research of watching Studio Ghibli films, today I watched Kiki's Flying Delivery Service. Finished half of the movie and saving the rest for tomorrow and I only got one note down. Though I am not disappointed. Even if I am going at this rate I should have two chapters for writing out of the notes. But of course, I am going to try to get at least maybe notes for four or five chapters. Wish me luck! Anyway, catch you later, alligator!

Blog 4: Video Game Lab
One of the games I played was HexLock. Hexlock is a 2D top down shooter. The purpose of the game is to purge the undead with a magical hexlock. The game mechanics include movement through the keyboard, aiming and shooting with the mouse, obstacle tombstones, programmed undead enemies, levels, scoring and health bars. The dynamics of the game involve the different types of movements the player might decide to make while they are in combat. The core aesthetic of the game challenges, however there are narrative and fantasy aspects with exploring the lore of the Fate Isle.
Another game I played was Cat King. Cat King is a vertical 2D platformer. The purpose of the game is for the cat, Sable, to climb his tower and reach his throne. The game mechanics include keyboard mechanics to move, token collection, obstacle sleeping cats and checkpoints. The dynamics of the game include the different ways the player can choose to navigate to Sable’s tower, collecting different tokens and checkpoints along the way. The aesthetics are challenges, discovery, and narrative.
Both Cat King and Hex Lock had similarities. Both games used similar mechanics with keyboard movements, though different keys were used. The games' dynamics included multiple ways of movement that players may use to strategize. The aesthetics of both games were similar too with challenges the player had to overcome, and narrative that told a story through the challenges.
Another game I played was Horse Master. Players must train, grow and nurture their own horse. This game was created in a choose your own adventure style. The game mechanics include hyperlinks and branching narratives. The dynamics are the way players decide to interact with the different pathways of stories. The core aesthetics are narrative and fantasy as players must become a horse master through a story.
I played Horse Master after observing my partner play. While observing, I noticed many more possibilities and pathways because it was a story-based game. While playing I was less focused on the possibilities and was more concerned about how my story would come out the way I desired.

okay but thigh riding literally lives in my head 24/7. just thinking about straddling one of their thighs, wearing no panties so they groan, feeling my wetness seep through their jeans, soaking them. they bounce their leg catching me completely off guard that i gasp, biting my lip to hold back a moan and hiding my face in their neck. they grab me by the hips, gently rocking me back and forth against their thigh until i start grinding myself harder against them. they coo softly “that’s it, baby. fuck yourself against my thigh. let me see how desperate you are for me.” after some time, my pace starts faltering then one of their hands comes down on my ass “why are you slowing down, hm? you’re tired already? aw poor baby, she’s tired. you just need daddy to do everything for you, don’t you?” their hands gripping my hips once again, pressing me harder against their flexed thigh giving my clit the right amount of friction that i start teetering over the edge. they notice immediately and chuckle teasingly saying, “gonna cum already? doesn’t take much with you, huh? go ahead, baby. cum all over my thigh. make a mess.” it takes only a second for my body to tense above them as i cum, my body giving in as i relax against them. they gently start rubbing my back and kiss my forehead, whispering softly, "you did so good for me, baby. always so good for me.”

Random writing tips that my history professor just told during class that are actually helpful
Download all your sources or print them so you can turn off your wifi
Give your phone to someone
Just. WRITE. Writing is analysing, you’ll get more ideas as you write. It doesn’t need to be perfect, for now you can just blurt out words and ideas randomly. You can fix it later.
Create a skeleton/structure before writing.
Stop before you get exhausted. It’s best to stop writing when you still have some energy and inspiration left, this will also motivate you to get started again next time.
Make a to do list
Work in bite sizes. Even if it’s not much, as long as you put some ideas on paper or do some editing.
Simple language =/= boring language, simple language = clear language.
Own your words. If they are not your words, state this clearly in the text, not just in the footnotes.
STOP BEFORE YOU GET EXHAUSTED. Listing it again because it’s easily one of the best tips a teacher has ever given me.
