While Clark doesn't like cars or use them much, he knows a lot about engines and mechanics from growing up on a farm and occasionally warns Bruce about technical problems he can see or hear in the Batmobile. They definitely bond over these shared interests as Clark is pretty knowledgeable about most things because he has an immediate grasp about how they work and are built. Bruce is fascinated enough to have the same grasp of things and problem-solves intuitively enough that it probably feels like they share the same way of perceiving the world.

Lalah and Suletta are the same archetype at the end of the day. One is a tragedy, and the other is a story of love and hope.
Suletta survived because she had someone to catch her when she fell, someone to take her hand when she needed it, and someone to hold her when she broke.
Lalah had a sympathetic boy on the other side of the battlefield, and a man using her like a machine. Char, for all he seemed to care, let Lalah be treated like another cog in the war machine. Let this child be reduced to yet another weapon on the battlefield, the same as any common gun at the end of the day— just with a bit more firepower. The same as Amuro.
Prospera — our Char — treated Suletta like a weapon, referring to her not as her own daughter but as “that girl” but she was far from the only presence in Suletta’s life. When her world fell apart, when she lost her mother, her sister, and her girlfriend in one fell swoop, Earth House was there to embrace her. Miorine was there to fight for her, even in a misguided way.
The closest thing Lalah had was Amuro. A child trapped in the same hell she was, a boy for whom there was no real escape from the war machine he’d been swallowed by. Valued not for his humanity, but for his ability to pilot a new kind of weapon.
The importance of connection is a major theme throughout Gundam, from 0079 to Witch from Mercury. Amuro does not save White Base because Bright slapped him, he gets back in the cockpit because Fraw reached out. Newtypes are the ultimate representation of that— the potential for humanity to grow and change by reaching out to one another.
A better future can only come from an extended hand.
Suletta came to Miorine’s door at her own lowest moment, and the two walked hand-in-hand towards a brighter future.
Suletta had her friends, had Miorine. Had people right beside her to pick her up and support her when her world fell apart.
At the end of the day, all Lalah really had was Char.

good evening, thinking about weapon AU again. thinking about how Shiro still promises to never give up on Keith, even when it seems like there's not much of a person left in him to save. Maybe others don't see it, but Shiro does. He saw the slight way Keith's eyes went wide when he saw the stars again for the first time in years. Keith might have himself convinced that he's nothing more than a living weapon, but Shiro knows that in there somewhere, is still a person who wants to break free.
He'll find him. He'll keep holding out that hand for as long as he can.
(In the end, it's Keith who pulls him out with that hand. He found himself on his own, and then rescued him.
...he just couldn't save everyone.)

having been told by my employers that any of our tools or parts could be useful weapons in a pinch paired with having watched a lot of Bones recently has resulted in me picking up the gear shift rod i install and testing the weight in my hand before going "how would they figure out that this was the murder weapon? it's such a weird shape, the fact that it's got a bunch of weird curves and angles along the length would mess with their height and angle estimates if they were thinking about a straight weapon... one side has threads and the other has a flat edge with a hole which would throw them off on what every day items have either of those aspects-" and i don't think these are normal thoughts people generally have at their jobs

Something I was meaning to write out for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time now (and I mean, like for YEARS) but now that the finale's out I really wanna mention this-
I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it SOMEWHERE on this blog (if I haven't, I need to add it to the About section whenever I stop being depressed) but Alastor when in Devil/Fae unlimited form has a power level that puts him in the lower top third of the Angel/Hell's Hierarchy. Other strong Overlords would be in this area as well but since I'm flexible on who else is in the 'Honorary Angel' Club given I want to leave it open for any RP partners who may want their muse to join in on the Main Verse fun, Alastor's the main example of this phenomenon on this blog.
It's one of the reasons why the 'True Angels' are wary and keep a close eye on Alastor since only a few of them, the stronger of the Seven Deadly Sins, and the Royal Family of Hell would be able to stop him if he somehow broke the Seraph's control and went on a rampage.
That said, whenever I RP with other Alastors or with multiverse/Devil-Fae Al with other Hazbin muses and in the past, I deliberately hold my Alastor back and allow him to get hurt if he pokes the tiger too much and they lash out. But the potential for him to do serious damage to and even kill other muses is always there, I just try to make it fair and fun for everyone with this over powered bastard involved. (Also, I was waiting to see if we would get more information on his abilities as well as the ones I headcanon/gave to my au Alastor but eh. The lazy writing/brainstorming was always secondary.)
Why am I making a point to make myself write this out now? Well... Something happens in the Finale (no spoilers here) but given I used to RP another over powered muse who (spoilers *cough* does take damage *cough*) on screen, some people would assume that meant just any Muse could walk up and beat up/physically attack my muse and NOT have their muse be dealt with at the Power Level my muse had. Which can be fine if their muse is the same power level and we both know that or if we discussed it beforehand, and-or the situation allows them to (see above examples). But it was so annoying to deal with and made me not want to do certain ideas and threads I originally was excited about. I just don't want that to happen here when I get more consistent Muse back and try to get more active. So I'm making sure I write it out and put it on the blog somewhere NOW while I'm thinking of it.
