helped me break the barrier between online and real life friends because they are THE SAME FRICKIN’ THING.

Hank and John made me appreciate things better. They helped me see the world in a broader perspective. I am now braver and more daring as I once tried putting peanut butter on my face (the results weren’t that great btw).

Nerdfighteria is super cool and inspiring. The inside jokes, the insightful discussions have made me feel like I’m a part of something AWESOME and that I should make the best of myself. I’m really really grateful.

The Nerdfighter community has had such a huge impact on my life in the past few years, such a huge impact in fact that it’s hard to remember my life before it.

I will admit, at first I was very hesitant to identify myself as a Nerdfighter.

I joined the Nerdfighter community around one to two years ago and I don’t regret it.

The main reason I was initially hesitant was because of how large the Nerdfighter community already was, it was almost overwhelming, but it became way more than that when everyone welcomed me with open arms.

Becoming a Nerdfighter really helped me out. It helped me embrace my inner “nerd” and to just be proud of myself and try to make the world a less crappy place to live on.

Not only has it helped me embrace myself, but It’s also helped me embrace new people. Because of the Nerdfighter community, I have made some of my best friends in the world. Being part of the Nerdfighter community has also helped me break the barrier between online and real life friends because they are THE SAME FRICKIN’ THING.

It took me forever to realize that.

While joining the Nerdfighter community for the first time was a bit nerve-racking, it was totally worth it in the end.

Thank you John and Hank for building such an awesome community of people and being just... awesome yourselves.

wada sez: My knowledge of Japanese Generation 1 is pretty spotty, but so far as I can tell, this strip is set after/during the Transformers: Zone OVA, in which the planet Feminia is destroyed by the Nine Great Demon Generals of Violengiguar, the "power-blinded emperor” Overlord ruminates on here. It’s intended to be read more-or-less standalone, however. In a comment on deviantART, Carlos Oliveros comments that Overlord is one of his favourite characters and that he thought the character had a lot of wasted potential—obviously, this was before Last Stand of the Wreckers! I’m not quite sure who the yellow guy is in the first panel; all the characters except Overlord are supposedly from Transformers: Victory, but the only yellowish character I can think of is Killbison, and none of the details match up. Colours here are by Liam Shalloo, who did some work for IDW here and there. In addition to the usual preview, an entire cover was drawn for the strip, and a panel pencils/inks/colours breakdown was also shared—see below the break.

okay tumblr’s exclusion from the twitter social media ban list is hilarious but genuinely we do not belong on there. if a real human person asks “where can i find you on social media” and your choice is a swift death or revealing your tumblr, most of us would simply expire. half of y’all change urls every week like you’re in witness protection. just imagine for one second attaching your wholeass government name to your latest two am clownposting and tell me that didn’t send a cold chill down your spine. the only place i ever want to see the words “connect with me on tumblr!” is on the ao3 profile of an author i’m actively stalking. anyone in the world can follow me except anyone i personally know. antisocial media.

discovering the queer country scene has honestly been so healing because most queer musicians i've seen recommended for years i just couldn't really connect with because it wasn't the sort of music i listened to or had investment in and with queer country it's like. yes. this is the language i speak in. this is Fuck You, I Belong Here Too, not just as a queer person in the country but as a rural person among (sub)urban queers, and saying it with a laugh. when will my hometown take pride in me, goddamn it
