okay hear me out- SAGAU but with sea monster Foul Legacy
sea monster Foul Legacy who smells the golden blood in the water during one of his hunts, hastily swimming to catch the body floating in the sea. he's never seen you in person before, but oh- you're so familiar.
he brings you to shore, away from any cities- oh no, you're bleeding- and carefully pats your wounds with seagrass, fretting as he waits for you to wake up. what should he do- you're obviously the Creator, there's no doubt about it- why in the world are you so hurt?! why were you sinking into the sea, why hasn't Teyvat been celebrating your return, why-
Legacy chitters in surprise when you shift, letting out a few coughs and cracking open your eyes. with a strangled scream you shoot upright and try to scoot away from him, only for Legacy to lower his head and whine sadly. of course you wouldn't want to be around him, he's a monster. but your movements eventually slow, breathing heavily as the cuts sting and sear, and after a moment he tentatively dabs more seagrass against the injuries, trying to show that he means no harm. when he's sure that you won't struggle and accidentally hurt yourself, Legacy gently nudges you into a sitting position with a gentle trill.
he has to hold himself back from just staring in awe. his god, the Creator, is right here in front of him! but he can see the way you shiver, the gleaming blood staining your skin- you need care, not worship. so Foul Legacy shifts closer, gently settling his scaled tail over your legs and pressing his cheek against yours, feeling how you shudder in his arms like you've been running and screaming for years. you stiffen at first but quickly melt into his tender embrace, sniffing as relieved, exhausted tears begin to drip down your cheeks.
on that night, a god finally found an ocean of safety to call their own.

It's that time of year again where it gets a little warmer and I remember that Amphibia is a show I very much enjoy thinking about. Have some Anne outfits, as a treat <3
If you would like to see what aspect of headcanon/ au worldbuilding had consumed my consciousness like a pestering maggot, feel free to continue below.
Hello! Welcome to I focus on researching one very specific detail until I burn out!
My entire day has been consumed by figuring out how Amphibia's farming works. Like... amphibians are carnivores why do they have farms?
Well, I'll tell you why! The Plantars grow animal feed for predominantly crickets but also others such as silkworms, spiders, snails, etc. They grow produce like cabbage, mushrooms, parsnips, potatoes, dandelions, and turnips as well as heartfruit, a fruit not found on Earth.
In the past, the original amphibian hunter/gatherer societies found that mealworms were attracted to fallen heartfruit, among others. They began to use this knowledge to make traps and eventually began both containing the worms as well as growing the fruit.
Despite mealworms historical prominence in the farming and feeding of Amphibia, crickets are more popular nowadays due to their higher levels of protein. They also began growing a larger variety of produce to further increase efficiency.
Heartfruit is a kind of tree grown fruit with the color of a raspberry, size of a kumquat, and shape of a peach (hence the name). The Plantar's orchard is the only producer of this fruit as its traditionally significant but not necessary for frog kind. They are Anne's personal favorite of the Plantar's produce, being chalk full of nutrients and somehow feels nostalgic to her.
Speaking of Anne, she survives mostly on the Plantar's produce along with cricket meat (knowing that she can at least eat crickets).
After discovering that the amphibians hibernate, she begins to plant pole beans, blueberries, elderberries, and other produce and herbs in her greenhouse to cultivate while she forages and stockpiles for winter. She preps and stores wild rice, pecans, and sunflower seeds (discovered through trial and error). She keeps spare root veggies and other product in the basement. The Plantars help her do this, once they understand the situation, drying heartfruit and salting and smoking fish as well as making jerky out of bugs that they know she can have.
Anne's gonna learn to survive, even if the first winter is especially hard.

Treasure Planet AU, Part 4
Part 3
Whumpuary No. 12: "You're awake"
CW: false drowning, captivity, inhuman whumpers
Jim’s consciousness returned slowly, and with it, a horrific sensation, one that felt like…drowning.
His eyes snapped open underwater. He was drowning. He opened his mouth to scream for help, and bubbles of air floated to the surface just a few inches above his head. If he could only reach it…but something was pulling him down. A pair of manacles around his ankles. He was trapped in some kind of tank, imprisoned underwater, just below the surface. So close…and yet so far. He clamped his mouth tight, forcing himself not to breathe, thrashing desperately to wrench himself free.
“You are awake.”
The voice sounded right inside his ear. Someone was watching him drown. He screamed, and the last of his air expelled itself from his lungs in a flurry of bubbles.
“Breathe, young human. You are not dying.”
Breathe? But how? He was about to lose consciousness.
If I’m going to die anyway, I might as well try.
He let the water enter his lungs.
The sensation was horrific. For a moment, Jim thought it was over.
But then, somehow, he was still conscious, still alive. And the burning pain in his head and lungs was…disappearing.
“You see? Not dying. We want to keep you alive.”
Shock and adrenaline surged through his body.
They want to keep me alive. But why?
He looked down at himself. Naked, except for his underwear. At least the water was kind of warm. The scene outside his tank was a little blurry, but he could see enough. A large chamber, the same color as the endless tunnels (from what he’d been able to see of them), lit with glowing orbs full of some swirling substance. Other tanks just like his lined one end; they looked empty. And two figures stood motionless in front of him, watching.
The Hunters. They had to be. Not just because of the well-used weapons fastened at their sides and their sinister armor, but also because of the unmistakable hungry look in their colorless eyes.
Jim started to speak, but all that came out was a sound like “Ubbllubummlug.”
“We cannot free you, young human,” the taller Hunter said, its tone almost apologetic. “We need you. And yes, we can read your thoughts,” it added, as Jim let out a stream of confused bubbles.
Need me…why would they need me? And why did they have to imprison me in a tank of all places?
“You are not yet strong enough to survive outside the life liquid,” the alien said, busy with a pair of tubes connected to the side of the tank. “But soon.”
“We cannot wait long,” the other Hunter interrupted. “The princess is—”
“He is not yet strong enough! He would not survive!”
Jim tensed, his mind racing. The water suddenly felt cold, the manacles securing him to the bottom suddenly tight.
Survive? Survive what? What are they talking about?
The alien Hunter drew close, so close Jim could see it grotesque, inhuman face clearly through the wall of the tank. It seemed to sigh before answering.
“We require your skin and blood, young human. But you are not yet ready for harvesting.”
