Getting stuck into the intricacies of Edwin’s gender by designing some drag looks for him, obvi inspired by the magnificent Barbara Lasagna. (40s and 20s dress respectively!) Sometimes I think about how Netflix lowkey pitted DBDA and Lockwood against each other when marketing... and it pisses me off SO MUCH. Those two great shows were intended to have the same fanbase, and a million crossover fics, and a million forged friendships. Instead there was bad blood until we were canceled, and when we banded together after, we were SO POWERFUL. I wish we had done more of that. I wish we had been one strong united front. Maybe, if we were, if Netflix hadn't created a weird little war, we could have saved both shows.
