One thing I appreciate about Barbie was the emphasis on age.

I was emotional when Barbie told the old woman how beautiful she was, and when Ruth came in and helped her become human.

It was also the fact that America Ferrera was the one having the crisis that caused Barbie to do the same.

The whole concept of the toy doesn't end in childhood. Cause she is an idea; Barbie is forever. She's everything. She's meant to inspire women to keep going for what they dream. You don't age out of these ideas, they grow with you, just like how Margot Robbie grew with America Ferrera.

"It's stupid," Steve laughs not looking at him. Eddie deflates a little, but Steve keeps going, "Just as I was about to cum, I woke up," he says and then looks up at Eddie.

Who is blushing, very confused, and very horny.

"Do you know what that means?" Steve asks with a crooked smile.

Eddie shakes his head and sits up straight, dying to know the answer.

Steve's smile grows, "It means you are attracted to me" he declares.

And Eddie feels his blush intensify, he feels like he's been caught. Like he's being made fun of. He looks at his knees, where his hands are twisting the fabric of his sweats, and then looks up at Steve.

"It doesn't" he whispers in vain because it's obvious and too late to lie about now.

"Yes, yes, it does mean that," Steve whispers back, scooting closer on the couch they are sharing. His smile looks less amused and more kind now, soft and careful.

"I'm attracted to you," he says and Eddie's eyes go wide. He feels the heat coming off his face as Steve moves a little closer, hand going up to touch Eddie's red and hot cheek but stops a breath away, "And you are attracted to me but since you don't want to tell me," he pauses to smile because Eddie moves his face closer to Steve's hands, finally making contact and nuzzling into it, "You come into my dreams to tell me anyways."

alright so i'm watching community 4x01, "history 101." and i am Concerned about abed. and there's this exchange where abed says he's fine, and troy asks, "f-i-n-e or f-y-n-e?" he explains to britta and annie (and to the audience) that one of them is code for not actually being fine. abed responds that he's "f-Y-n-e," and troy, comforted by the reassurance that abed is Actually Fine, leaves with britta, annie, and shirley.

here's the kicker: it's a movie reference. he built a little movie reference check-in system for abed. troy states that HE made up the code; it wasn't abed's idea! it was TROY who said, "hey, you know that movie line? can we use it so i can subtly check in on your emotional state?"

this is why troy is my favorite character. what a sweetheart.

the movie reference is to "the italian job," which i haven't seen in maybe a year, so i don't remember much about it. it's a heist movie! i'm mostly sure it has mark wahlberg in it. but early on in the movie, the younger, up-and-coming heist team leader says that he's fine. his heist team leader mentor reminds him that "fine" stands for "freaked out, insecure, neurotic, and emotional." the line comes back later in the movie, i'm mostly sure.

for troy and abed, it probably means the same thing. if abed says he's "f-i-n-e," he's referencing the movie: he's freaked out, insecure, neurotic, emotional, or otherwise Not Alright. however, if he says he's "f-y-n-e," it's not a reference; he's just fyne.

Okay but, people are always like "Bruce having dad strength isn't even canon" like, excuse me? The man that yanks his 6' 255 lbs son by the collar of his shirt in like 0.2 secs to save them both from the explosion that said son, dead-weight and reluctant to go, set up? The man that gives a piggyback ride to the same son who struggles and puts up a fight to be let go? The man who strips his bloodied, passed-out 5'5" 125 lbs son of his uniform and puts civvies on him to then carry him bridal-style to the hospital as of he were lifting a feather? The man who carries his dead 5'10" 175 lbs son in his arms for god knows how long? That man?

Also I love how we get to see Ballister open up throughout the film, not only learning to challenge the Institute but also just step down from having to be the perfect knight (so that no one can question his right to be there) to get to be a little bit silly, have some fun, cause some problems and just be alive in a way he didn’t really seem to be at the beginning of the movie.

He’s stiff, he’s formal, he’s terrified of hurting anyone or going against his training or the Institute; he’s nervous around Nimona and her antics, tries to downplay his role and just not cause a fuss. You can really feel the desperation to be perfect and how hard he must have had to work to become a knight, one slip and everyone would have made it such a thing about how commoners couldn’t make it in the Institute.

Then he meets Nimona, and finally gives up on the Institute, and he doesn’t have to be perfect anymore! He can wear shades and take silly pictures with a shark and swing over the couch and grab a sword and have at all those assholes who were always waiting for him to fail; he can get out there and be loud and be himself without having to worry about what other people think of him!

It’s just such a nice, slightly subtle arc to pair with the louder Nimona arc and compliments it so well: Nimona learns that someone believes in her, and she doesn’t have to be loud and angry all the time just screaming at someone to see her; and Ballister learns that he doesn’t have to be perfect, doesn’t have to toe the line, and can be loud and should be angry and is allowed to do something about it!

Yeah the honda odyssey scene was hot af but why's no one talking about the scene near the end of the movie when Wade takes Logan home and he starts making jokes about Dogpool and Logan has the softest smile ever on his face he's so cute while laughing at Wade's jokes knowing that he's stuck with this guy probably forever but he's happy about that
