i think it is so funny that in the book ratigan is a mouse , but personally i think actually making him a rat who THINKS hes a mouse was a based take.

I see your "Bruce won't hesitate to adopt Billy" and "Billy tries to beat Bruce away from himself with a stick bc he independed" but I raise you: Batman tries to parent Captain Marvel exactly once -after finding out Billy's identity without his consent- and Billy decides 'bet' and becomes his full time problem
(For the purposes of Batman not being an absolute ass he doesn't tell JL about Billy)

there’s a question to be asked i think about to what extent “getting out” can be conflated with “being saved” in this show, and what freedom actually means to any of these characters.
like you can argue that shiv saved ken by voting against him on gojo, but what if your intent behind saving someone is to inflict a worse punishment than if you’d just left them trapped? can a child weaned on poison survive on milk, or are you just sentencing them to a death by inches, starved of the only thing they know? and if you save someone specifically because you know that being saved is the worst thing that can happen to them, is that kindness or cruelty? at what point does a good thing become a malicious act?
and you can say that roman is finally free, but what exactly is he free from? the company? his father? does unlocking a cage mean saving a dog, or are you allowing him out on the street knowing there’s a kill shelter nearby? if the driving anxiety behind roman is that he’s an idiot and a failure—that he’ll never amount to anything, and trying will only lead to pain—and he’s finally cut loose once all of those anxieties have crystallized into cold hard fact in his mind, what has he actually escaped from? if the cage is in your mind, is it even possible for somebody else to unlock it?
the fundamental truth of a tragedy is that even being saved can be a death sentence, if the characters are incapable of escaping the thing doing them the most harm (themselves and their childhoods)

Unlike divorced!Kirishima (who told you he wanted to try taking a break before making anything official), I think Deku doesn’t mention anything at all before he tries to remove himself from your life.
Goes straight from simply acting busy and being distant to suddenly, fully ignoring you at home and over the phone; I don’t even think he tries to serve you divorce papers before he moves out entirely, so desperate to… what? You don’t know and probably never will.
(That is, until he returns after years of silence with tears in his eyes asking for you to take him back.)

my experience with maxing out the twins' friendship is just-
Hawke: So, Carver, my dear baby brother who I love and adore, I only need +10 more points to max out your friendship. I've done the grind; through gritted teeth I've kissed templar ass so that we don't raise suspicion. I've supported and defended you and let you take the lead whenever I could. You're my favorite warrior. I took you to the Deep Roads with me because you desperately wanted to go and then made you a warden and you found a place, a purpose. I've practically written my own guide on how to earn as much friendship with you because I love you and it's totally worth it so can I please please have the last +10...?
Carver:
Hawke: Carver please I'm begging you
Carver:
Carver: +5 Friendship
Hawke: AAUUGGGHHLKSAJDLKAJSDLK-
Hawke: So, Bethany, my dear sis-
Bethany: +50 Friendship
Hawke:
Bethany: :)

listen. listen. it's ok, jason can be an asshole just because he's an asshole. it doesn't have to be armor or trauma or whatever justification, he can just be a jerk because he finds it entertaining and that's it, it's ok to like characters that are little bitch for fun, stop trying to water him down and turn him into something he's not

“the same ones who say this come up with THE most misogynistic takes in this fandom and I'm supposed to be taking them seriously” they’re also the ones who blabber about people ‘hating’ s*nsa when the story has war criminals and rapists and then you go to their profiles and they’re… stanning the war criminals and rapists!? these people adore characters like st*nnis and j*ime but they’ll bring up the geneva convention when it comes to dany & arya.
Literally...Jaime, Theon, The Hound, Stannis etc. get so much more grace and kindness than Dany and Arya. Everyone roots for their redemptions and wants happy endings for them but when it comes to these two young female characters suddenly they're "too far gone" and have no chance of a good ending. People literally fantasize about them getting narratively punished. Male characters always get to be flawed, but good in a way female characters are never allowed to be. Meanwhile, if a female character isn't 100% pure and docile then people don't think they deserve anything.
