Okay hold on so you're telling me that these rings with important lines from the characters with full-ass sentences are out here, and Kirishima's most important line - the biggest, most impactful thing from all the encouraging shit he's ever said - was just that one word. Everyone's got full sentences - Hawks has two whole rows of text - but Kirishima's is just. that. one. word. Yelling for Bakugou. Telling Bakugou to come to him. Holding out his hand. Just that one simple comand. His ring is reaching out to Bakugou.
And Bakugou's ring is a direct reply

ultimately when it comes to shipping and fandom space treatment of aspec characters i just don't accept "aro/ace people can still date/have sex" as an answer from nonaspecs. like yeah. mhm. okay. now i think we both know that you're not saying that out of real interest in the diversity of aspec experiences. so you can turn in your seventeen-page essay on why and how you plan to examine this character's aspec identity within the context of a romantic or sexual relationship complete with evidence from canon and peer reviews from multiple aspec people within the next week or i'm putting you in the pit from the edgar allen poe story
#you know. the one with the pendulum#'hey. why are you as an allo person shipping this aspec character like this'#'oh aspec people can still date/have sex!'#'yeah. now can you answer the question that i actually asked you'#like goddamn just say you don't care they're aspec and you want to fulfill a sexual/romantic fantasy with them. that's Fine#it like. sucks. for sure. lotta aspec people will be unhappy with you. but everyone is entitled to their own wants and experiences.#but i'd prefer you just be honest with it rather than using our community's conversation points as retroactive justification#and ONCE AGAIN. you guys are real fucking cavalier with this shit and it shows a real fundamental lack of respect for aspecs#when most of you would NEVER ship a canonically gay character with the 'other' gender. cause again. it would suck.#you can do it. nobody's Stopping you. but it would suck.#and we understand that putting a queer character in situations that erase that queerness is shitty! until it comes to aspec characters!#and whoa... there it is again... people don't consider aspec identities to be queer... crazy how it always comes back to that#anyway. you all know what i'm talking about. have seen many posts about this lately#it is [ long sigh ] unfortunately a very hot button issue with the advent lately of alastor hazbinhotel#which. again. god i wish there were other canon aspec characters to be having this conversation about.#but we'll have to do our best with what we have#aromantic#aromanticism#arospec#aroace#talking#aspec#asexual#asexuality

I -
What in the world?
Surely I did not see a post in which someone said that the difference between Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji was that Jiang Cheng was an emotionally stunted asshole who can't let go of a grudge, while Lan Wangji managed to move on in a healthy way after Wei Wuxian's death, including grieving in a healthy way, coping, and forgiving both Wei Wuxian (for up and dying on him) and himself (for not being able to save WWX).
Surely not.
The sheer irony of saying that the difference between Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji is that LWJ is not an emotionally stunted asshole who can't let go of a grudge, when every bit of interaction between Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng after Wei Wuxian's death, up to and including the time after his resurrection, is icily informed by the gigantic seething grudge Lan Wangji holds against Jiang Cheng, which you will pry from Lan Wangji's cold dead fingers and which he has built on projecting his mountain of grief and anger - at both himself and everyone around him for failing WWX - onto Jiang Cheng is just ...
Mn. Very healthy. Much cope. Certainly, in no way grudgey.

i truly don't want to sound unreasonable but i am so bored of people telling me how "difficult" it is to remember to use the correct name and pronouns for me, and how i need to be more "patient" and "understanding", because they are "really trying". like, ok? it's been two years. try harder.

I just don't see the point of a rights/liberation movement that has to shame and argue its beneficiaries into adopting its 'core' praxis. If the beneficiaries are that resistant to the praxis, then maybe it's fair to say that the particular praxis is unworkable, and that it's time for proponents of the rights/liberation movement to reconsider how they're going to address the problem (in a way that actually is achievable)?
Like, let's argue that separatism was the core radical feminist praxis (and not consciousness-raising, which actually is): if male violence, female (un)happiness and housework disparity statistics and a healthy dose of shame aren't enough to convince heterosexual and bisexual women to ditch their romantic relationships with men, then separatism can't be said to reflect the needs and desires of the affected group.
And radical feminists have two real responses:
They can either ignore the feedback, dig their heels in, and keep trying to convince women, which, I'd argue, doesn't actually help anyone - women in/open to relationships don't want to be condescended, especially by those who aren't perceived as having a stake in the issue (lesbians, bisexual women, women who don't want romantic relationships), and the women doing this inevitably end up feeling frustrated and alienated from others.
Or they can use the repeated rejections as feedback, and reconsider how they want to achieve their goal of female liberation even if women are still living with men (and this, imho, is the beauty of consciousness-raising, because it allows people to get a sense of what a group actually wants).
Separatism has been splintering the feminist movement since the 1960s; if separatism hasn't appealed to heterosexual and bisexual women until, then maybe, just maybe, it's time to get back to our consciousness-raising roots and start brainstorming what's actually achievable?

I have said forever that the Dragon.Age fandom is the worst fandom I've ever been in, but there's something so fucking funny to me that they use the same baseless argument as RWDE for why things have changed, how that's bad, and they don't like it. Like most of the writing/lore staff (at least the well known ones) are the same. There was always some kind of outline for how things were going to go. It was always intended (or was more so for its time for DA) progressive and has grown up with the times and wanting to include more people. But pie logic (no, other people being included doesn't mean you get less) and nostalgia wank of "how dare the thing I like change at all from what I remember of what l liked about it" (like these people never knowing Adam was always a piece of shit).
Shame shit, same mostly cishet white guys, different fandoms.

The apparition of Kuea in this episode has finally made me realize the common point between the men of Idol Factory's gl. What I like is that they don't make ''the guy'' an awful person like for example the husband in Couple of mirrors or the Count in the Handmaiden. ''the guy'' in sapphic media is often an abusive jerk, much like ''the girl'' in bls is often a manipulative ''pick-me''. But not in Gap, not in Dream and (as of right now) not in the Loyal Pin. In fact ''the guy'' is really caring, he genuinely loves Sam/Kim/Pin, he's respectful, devoted....In fact, if this wasn't a gl, I would root for him.
BUT there's something different with Kuea which highlighted for me what was wrong with Kirk and Marwin as well. Entitlment. Kirk wanted to help Sam so he just started doing buisness behind her back for things regarding her own compagny, without telling her. Because he felt that, since they were going to get married, he had a right to do that. He felt he could tell Mon to back off because Sam was technically his, even if he knew perfectly their engagement was against Sam's will. He felt entitled to her. Just like Marwin didn't care about Kim's wants, or her obvious feelings for Wan. It doesn't matter what SHE wants, because someone, anyone, the mother the grandmother or society told him that's what's right. Those men's feelings for those women justified going against their will, because ''I love her, so I want what's best for her, and I'm obviously right in what I think is best''. Entitlment.
Kirk took it best. At the end, it even seems like he got through with the wedding because the Grandmother kinda forced him. Marwin took it awfully, and resorted to extremely petty and frankly pathetic revenge.
Kuea is different because unlike the two others, we can see from the beginning what we can realize later about them : Pin is visibly uncomfortable about him being there, and she barely tries to conceal it. Honestly, I believe that according to the rules of their class and their time period (that I don't know anything about so I'm assuming), she's been as rude with him as her personality allows her to be. But he still feels like he can continue to pursue her, because it is what's right, what makes sense, what society expects. His entitlment comes from there.
And I find it refreshing that ''the guy'' is not a 2 dimensional generic homophobic hyper toxic dude (not saying that when the man is obviously very awful he's necessarily a bland character). These guys feel more realistic because they don't intend to harm, but they do, because they're just so sure they're the best man around and what this woman needs. They're not mean and they're not cruel, they must think they're actually super nice, and they act like gentlemen, but at the end of the day, when it comes down to the real things, they don't value the opinion of the woman they ''love'', nor her feelings. I like these archetype, and I like that these 3 characters are different and I can't wait to see how Kuea is going to evolve.
I personally think he's going to be the worst out of the 3

What type of twitch streamers would the svsss characters be?
i think i've said before i don't think most of the characters would be twitch streamers, most of them aren't the right type of attention-seeking for that kind of thing.
i'm currently watching trackmania videos and i think shen yuan is the right kind of insane for that. by far his most popular streams, though, would be his ban review streams where he shreds people to filth over their unban requests.
binghe has the potential for the streamer's temperament, though it honestly depends on how i interpret him, but i'm not sure what games he'd play. cozy games are the pidw option -- everything the viewers want, an incredibly beautiful man in eyeliner and a v-neck playing cute little farming games or whatever, but incredibly hollow in terms of binghe's enjoyment in them i think. he might like soulsborne games, or he might do cooking streams, but i think he'd probably enjoy something with pvp the most. he spends multiple days trying to speedrun a trackmania map sy holds a record on to get his attention.
sha hualing is the only bitch here with the true twitch streamer's temperament. she's clever, calculating, and driven in addition to being gorgeous. she strikes me as someone unafraid to play the role of the exact kind of streamer twitchbros get reaaaally mad about: ditzy, cute, lowcut tops and short skirts, shallow view farming material where she just watches tiktok/youtube/other twitch streams and comments on them. a lot of people hate her because she's shallow coomer-bait, but you don't hit it big by just sitting there and looking pretty. sha hualing is undeniably charismatic and willing to put in the time and work to secure her position. the controversies she gets involved in only boost her engagement, and she's probably in the top 3% of earners. she's turned it into a science. she watches over her analytics like a warlord looks over trade routes. she intentionally starts a rumor that her and binghe slept together at twitchcon and binghe is too busy mooning over sy to care. this is not about the love of streaming or her deciding to simply broadcast another passion. success is a game to her and she intends to win, no matter how many fake teary-eyed apology videos it takes to get there.
nobody else would stream unless they were forced at gunpoint.

I think I've cracked why it makes me so irate when customers have this expectation that workers not only offer service to them but to Do It With a Smile.
It's this sense of entitlement that it isn't enough to have a service offered to you, but that it must never remind you why workers might not be chipper.
What people mistake is that this country is built off freedom that makes us All Happy. What they miss is that this country was built on façades and platitudes - the comfort of being shielded from any uncomfortable reality.

It really is strange how Edelstans simultaneously dig hard into people that don't agree with their specific interpretation of 3H to the point of being happy they manage to drive those people away... and be so upset and baffled that people become generally disinterested/actively hostile towards 3H content.
If folks get repeatedly driven out of a fandom, and that group of people repeatedly calls anyone who disagrees with their specific interpretation of 3H stupid/illiterate/"acting in bad faith"/sexist/racist/homophobic/etc., and it is repeatedly done by a group of people who insist that 3H's fandom problem is a "both sides" thing, with all of this being dragged into spaces that have nothing to do with 3H, well... obviously people are then going to start to dislike interacting with either 3H in general or its fandom in particular?
Edelstans are the ones spreading the idea that 3H's fandom in totality is shit. They keep trying to make their hands look cleaner than they are by claiming that everyone else's hands are just dirty as/even dirtier than theirs. Of course people who are unaware of everything are going to then assume that everyone's hands are dirty, thus making people not exactly want to shake hands with anyone.
Like, really now. What did they think was going to happen when they directly go after fanartists/fanfic writers who create/say things that go against the Approved Edelstan Status Quo, to the point that a non-zero amount of these creators just up and leave social media entirely? Or after they nitpick every single Disapproved Post and then lie about the post's OP? Or after it becomes a consistent pattern that people who even remotely disagree with Edelstans' opinions are always, without fail, buried with insulting and harassing anons? Or after they're shown time and time again to defend their worst actors with "well their/our victims deserved it because they said a 3H opinion we didn't agree with"? Or when they say that everyone does this shit in 3H's fandom except for them (which is either not believed because it's demonstrably untrue or is actually believed and now those people think the overwhelming majority of 3H's fandom is filled with shit)? Or when they drag 3H discourse into literally actually everything no matter how unrelated?
That with less fandom creators within the fandom space they'd get more content? That harassing and insulting people and accusing them of being this-and-that bigot is going to magically "correct" their minds into seeing The One Truth about 3H? That people are going to just look over all the shit they did just because they allocate the blame of their action on all of 3H's fandom? That people would like 3H more if they constantly remind people of the inarguable worst thing to come from 3H? That this would help 3H's general perception?
Fuckin' no, of course that's just going to make everyone fuck off from 3H. And would you look at that, a shit ton of people have fucked off from 3H since everything has been swept under a "well it'sth a bolth thides ithue tho what can ya do?" rug. And it's been swept under that rug by pretty much the only people who are pulling this shit, who then get shocked - utterly gobsmacked! - that that made them look bad too. That crying "both sides!" included themselves too and not just the people they've been harassing. That saying that the entire fandom is bad everywhere made the entire fandom look bad everywhere.
If Edelstans are really so upset that no one talks about 3H positively anymore, then maybe they should stop being the reason no one likes 3H anymore. Just a thought

Idk man. Not a fan of the theory / headcanon about Moonpaw hearing the voice of the sibling she absorbed in utero. That gets a little too close to "fetuses have souls" for me to feel comfortable around and I seriously hope that's not what's gonna happen. Chimerism doesn't make you into two people. It's not conjoined twins. She's just one cat made with two sets of genes. We don't have to get too weird about how bodies just naturally turn out sometimes. Idk.
