Just out of curiosity what made you grow attached to Nnoitra? Like what was the moment when you thought “this is the one”? I think it’s cool how we all have characters that resonate with us.

[ Thank you very much for the ask anon! ;O; I'm always super happy to talk about my love for Nnoitra. I didn't have a "this is the one" moment with him, because I didn't realize what a muse even was. I actually started drawing Nnoitra about a year before I started writing him. I was just randomly drawing some Bleach characters. My favorites at the time were Mayuri and Gin, so I mostly drew them. Then I decided to draw some other characters. I drew Ulquiorra, and then I drew Nnoitra. I didn't even care about Nnoitra's character back then, but something about drawing him just clicked for me. So I drew him again, and again, and again. It was super weird, to somehow just return over and over again to draw a character I didn't even care that much about ( I hadn't even "noticed" him when I watched Bleach ). But I was SO inspired to draw him! Like I drew probably 20 times more just because I was so inspired by him. Since I was loving drawing him so much, I went back and re-watched his episodes and that's when I started to get invested in his character. About a year after I started drawing him - I decided to write him on tumblr. AND YEAH, I've been writing him almost every day since November 2014.

I definitely don't "relate" to Nnoitra. Kinning, I think people call it these days? I hardly have anything in common with him. We are completely different people, with different interests, opinions, likes, experience and preferences. I think the fact that we're so different makes me think of him as more interesting. He's such a sharp contrast to me and I love that. I'm struggling to find even one thing we have in common LOL.

SO YEAH, what made me grow attached to him? The fact that he gives me so much inspiration. Having an ENDLESS source of inspiration coming from him is the best thing ever. I wish everyone would get to have such an amazing experience! ]

hi! last anon here again. i won't go over all your advice here, and there's some i disagree with, but i have found it helpful and insightful as a whole, so thank you. i don't know if you actually wanted clarification on these things, but i figured it would be worth providing in case you genuinely wanted it.

straps as female disidentification - i do see it as different from other sex aids; it's partially about not imposing man/woman sex dynamics on sex between women, and also that as part of recovering from trans identity i've been encouraged to disengage with any practices, thoughts, or self-beliefs that represent false consciousness/male identification, and that includes a desire to have a penis/penetrate women/take the male role, and replace that with meditation and mindfulness. unfortunately i suck at meditation so i haven't gotten anywhere. i see it more as a behavioural problem than an object problem; it's unhealthy because it's a maladaptive coping mechanism about reality; i don't have a penis and can never have one and pretending i do during intimacy is hurting a theoretical sex partner.

female infantilization - this is about the bush thing; attraction to shaved vulvas is dysfunctional and unnatural.

being put off women's bodies - again this is a dysphoria thing mostly. i like how pretty much all women's bodies look, particularly femmes, and before radfem stuff i mostly just felt horny seeing nude women, but being in an environment that's very focused on the importance of reproductive organs and secondary sex characteristics to female identity has involuntarily caused me to fixate on this; when i see a woman naked i end up thinking about her uterus and the size of her breasts and her hips in relation to passing; i know that things like testosterone/hysterectomies/double masectomies/binding are really unhealthy for you physically and psychologically now, so seeing a woman's body makes me uncomfortable now because i just feel a kind of despair that if she has big breasts or big hips she'll never be able to pass for male without hurting herself and if she has small breasts or hips she got lucky with natural androgyny and she's wasting it, either way neither her or me have any way out of this and we're female forever. which is not very arousing.

Soulmate?? PSHHHHH Leona doesn't believe in soulmates. Or so he thought.

His brother met his soulmate and well we all know how that went. Leona had given up on soulmates in general since he could never find the said person.

Going to NRC he didn't think he'd meet them.

When he came across Yuu he saw their strings joined during the spelldrive incident. But that wasn't the topic of conversation that was for another day.

When they came across him again Yuu realized they were soulmates and their eyes gleamed. Leona was like Ugh an was constantly trying to fight it, he didn't really care, but Yuu of course kept pushing. He snapped at them one day and was like

"You're annoying I don't care that you're my soulmate." and then walked away.

Eventually Leona secretly began to miss Yuu's prescense but would never admit it out loud. One day he got fed up and went to go look for them. Some students were ganging up on them and he well scared them off.

"Be careful herbivore I'm not cleaning up your messes again." Liar he would.

At first he hated the soulmate thing, but he's not saying he likes it just doesn't mind it.

Floyd

He is a special case. He doesn't care enough, but he also does care. He's neutral to the soulmate thing, but if he ever did find his soulmate he'd be super stoked to meet them.

When Yuu came to Mostro Lounge to make the deal he found out Yuu was his soulmate then. However he was currently busy so he couldn't do anything about it although he's now super interested in Yuu.

After the whole ordeal he attaches himself to Yuu to learn everything about them, and just to get to hang out with them.

(Yuu literally has to force him to practice because he won't leave their side)

Eventually when they do start having a relationship he's even more loving and affectionate knowing he can kiss and cuddle his little shrimp as much as he wants.

Idia

He can barely handle a social interaction what make you think he will find his soulmate.

He's literally a shut in who is mainly on his computer either programming, doing school work, or gaming he'd not one for social situations.

The only way he found out Yuu was his soulmate was because he coincidentally went outside for club and he ran into Yuu and learned Yuu was his soulmate. Yuu figured it out too and he pulled out every excuse in the book to go back to the dorm.

Ever since then, he has tried to avoid Yuu. Emphasis on try as Yuu would probably be pushing as he is their soulmate.

Ortho at some point tells him he can't keep pushing away. He won't give up, but Ortho literally invites Yuu over forcing them to hang out.

It will take a while and some work before Idia can work up to the idea of a partner and a relationship, but he eventually does get there.

The second Yuu starts talking about marriage or a baby Idia would ramble about how he's not ready and tell Yuu to slow down.

Malleus

Poor boy has been lonely forever a soulmate would make him feel less lonely and he'd be happy that he has someone to be around. He's been excited to meet said soul mate. He'd been dreaming what they'd look like what kind of person they are what gender they are (Not that gender matters to him)

When he was outside ramshackle and Yuu came out he realized their strings connected. He was happy he found his soulmate and would be even happier if they felt the same way about him.

When he came back from Diasmonia that night he told Lilia he found his soulmate. Lilia was happy so was Silver. Sebek was like WHAT? but he will get over it. (Spoiler he ends up liking and tolerating Malleus's s/o)

what are some stuff you're excited about?

first thing everyone does is compare the the style of anime! which, of course, we all want to do based on nostalgia..."well, back when i was growing up..." but we forget that the production studio is a different studio, new animators, new artists, and of course keeping up with the trend style of modern anime. it's a cute style (super biased on the og bc how can we not) but it's not a bad style, at all! they look cute, and bubbly, and colorful.

that's another thing, that color palette, which is such a contrast...the very vibrant colors opposed to the pastels/soft colors (ik many love them, but i've seen just as many "complain") but i dont mind the color palette, i like the softness, it's different, but nothing out of this world. it's fine. I just finished the first hallowen event, and I think it might have been the most stressful twst plot ever. The magicam monster were such rude entitled pricks that at times it was hard to read through.

Mob Anon (yes), it was super stressful! I was so mad the entire time lol Yana is too good at writing mob characters that act exactly like mobs from hentai would act. This is the thought I was holding onto with my entire will just so I survive this insanity lol

I remember watching a jp video with a summary of this event and how the guy (who made it) went “alright, let’s kill them” (yoshi, koroshimashou), and that was the biggest mood.

However (if it wasn’t obvious by my mob comment earlier), I do agree that these characters bring out fun potential scenarios. I don’t remember a lot of details in this event, but I do remember being surprised that we haven’t seen a horde of magimons harassing Idia. But then we saw Idia trying to calm down Ortho who was about to literally murder these people, and yeah I guess that also makes sense lol But still! Imagine a bunch of guys touching Idia’s costume everywhere, commenting on it, manhandling Idia to take all kinds of embarrassing pictures together… I wonder if the boost of confidence that Idia gets from being the Pumpkin Knight would be enough for him to handle them.

I also remember them being very nasty with Leona and touching him while he was sleeping, and it honestly felt like Yana wanted us to think about them groping him inappropriately, touching his hair, rubbing against his face, overall treating their pirate ship as if this is some kind of ‘hole in the wall”, except there aren’t any holes there well other than—

Oh, and also that one guy who managed to touch Malleus and was super stoked about it! He touched Malleus Draconia woah!! Imagine how happy he would get if he touched him some more? Imagine how good of an example he set, and how quickly everyone would’ve started to rub against Malleus’ chonky tail, touch his horns, put fingers into his mouth to touch his teeth. It’s almost a bummer Malleus got mad so quickly that he almost killed everyone lol Sebek raised an army to protect his dignity so quickly, god it was a funny scene.

Vil had a bunch of fanboys, right? Those who ignored the “no cameras” sign and started taking pictures. Vil is way too good at handling harassers, so maybe he wouldn’t have a problem, but imagining him being disrespected by ill-mannered horny simps is always such a joy that I will dream about it…

I don’t remember what other guys went through… but based on how I’m talking about it now, it sounds as if I enjoyed these assholes ruining stuff for the boys lol No, screw them. But thanks to them we were forced to think about this.

I'm not really sure how long this has been in my inbox but I'm actually on ep7 now!! Right now Caleb is my definite favorite though for sure. Quiet, mysterious magic wielder who has an orange cat named Frumpkin, is scared of his own shadow, and loves books? Sign me the FUCK UP!!!! Uhhh I honestly don't have a least favorite. They're all super unique and have their own little quirks and goals, and I like all of them! I really wouldn't be able to say "I like this PC less than the other ones" because besides Caleb who I adore, I like all of them pretty equally!

First thoughts on the series: Love Matt's DM style, love the DM/Player chemistry, love the Player/Player chemistry. Love the collaborative storytelling. Love the descriptions of the spells and moves they're doing instead of saying just "I cast X on this guy."

This isn't my first D&D podcast type thing, I used to listen to The Adventure Zone pretty regularly, and there's just no comparison.

I loved the story like of TAZ, but I definitely have begun to like Critical Role a lot better for several reasons.

I'm always going to encourage new writers to start. I was a lurking reader who decided why not and just needed to throw up alllllll the ideas I had in my head that I wasn't seeing in fics I was reading and I'm so glad I did.

That being said, I understand: it's all looking daunting lately. There's an influx of negativity in DMs, writers going on Hiatus or leaving entirely from discouragement, and recent theft of their hard work.

I would say don't let these things take your heart. At its core, writing is FOR YOU. You are the priority in your writing. ESPECIALLY in fan fic. We are doing this for free. Of our own time. And own passion. You owe it to no one else but you to do what you want. And a lot of people on here know it. I promise, they know it. They're grateful. They're lovely. They're supportive. (And if you're like me, they're horny too).

There's almost an unwritten (or maybe it IS written somewhere) code of Tumblr fanfic conduct: support writers because what they do is free, and you are lucky to be able to enjoy it. And while yes, it seems there are quite a number of people who don't get this memo and go on nasty sprees of hate, It really is only a handful compared to those that multiply the love for reading and writing tenfold.

It's good to remember that negativity is going to exist everywhere: in every form of art, in every medium, and shit, even in some reviews for Pedro Pascal's movies. But the fact that there even is such a large community of people here that are writing and reading and thriving should be testament that positivity overwhelms art far more. Not just positivity from other blogs, but the positivity that writing does for YOU. It may bring peace, escape boredom, help you through internal or external conflict, get over a breakup, work through a relationship, resolve of the past, hope for the future, fulfills you with something to be proud of, your own creation, your own thoughts and mind beautifully sharing what it can so you can say "I DID that!", whatever you want. It's yours.

So I would say this: don't let dirt underneath other people's finger nails stop you from even trying it yourself. There's so many good people here. Waaay more than you'll really come to grasp. And they'll have your back, ALWAYS. (Its like a gang here I swear. Mob protection for writers.) It's a community here. If there's an infection, it's pretty clear that the rest of us are quick to action to expel them very quickly. You're not going to be on your own.

In conclusion....

If you want to write, WRITE! Don't sell yourself short. And if you decide you don't feel like writing... then don't! And if you feel like writing something again randomly later.... guess what.... (I think you can guess 😊)

Worked Up - what is your f/o like when turned on? Are they desperate, tense, barely restrained? How do they handle it?

eren - he's a menace. when he's turned on he's barely a human being, he's just so laser-focused on fucking that he completely forgets his surroundings. he literally can't handle it, he can only take care of it, which involves a lot of risky quickies or--if we have the luxury of privacy--long, drawn-out sessions until he's fully spent

jean - he's a little shy or even apologetic when he's turned on, especially if it's unprompted and we're not fooling around. it's not that he doesn't like having sex, but i think he just feels bad about how horny he is all the time. and he thinks he's good at hiding it, but it's so blatantly obvious to everyone around 💀 he gets super handsy when he's turned on so suddenly his hands keep finding their way up my dress or he's pulling me to sit on his lap and i'm like, welp, ok, time to go.

satoru - he's a mix of eren and jean. when he's turned on, he's a complete menace like eren and also handsy like jean, but there's no shame or willingness to wait until we're somewhere private--he's actively making other people around us uncomfortable by dirty talking and practically humping me like a dog. he's so annoying and bratty, but like, what's anyone gonna do about it? he's satoru gojo, he can do whatever he wants.

suguru - he's an adult and knows how to control himself when he's turned on, but he'll make it known by subtle touches on my waist or thighs, leaning down to whisper into my ear about what he has planned for when we get some privacy. maybe even send some dirty text messages if there isn't an opportunity for us to talk to one another--won't stop until i'm just as worked up as he is when we're leaving.

Sound - what does your f/o sound like in bed? Are they loud or quiet? Breathy? Do they dirty talk you?

eren - groaner, definitely. but he tries to hold himself back so a lot of the time it comes out like little breathy huffs or throaty sounds because he's lowkey a little embarrassed about being vocal in bed because he sees it as a "girl thing". so that just makes it all the more rewarding when he finally lets go and lets himself make noise in bed. also a huge fan of dirty talk. he always knows exactly what i need to hear, whether it's something nasty or something sweet. he's very intuitive and good at reading body language so he's good at stoking that fire, but sometimes when he's in "demon mode" he just goes nuts and says crazy, nasty stuff the whole time.

jean - sooo loud in bed. so vocal it's insane! moaning, groaning, whimpering--this man does not hold anything back. he's also a big dirty talk guy but the closer he gets to finishing, the less coherent he becomes until he's just a little babbling mess, it's very adorable.

satoru - won't shut up in bed. he's not even moaning or groaning, he's just running his mouth. loves to say the most out-of-pocket shit he can think of, just to see if i have any sort of reaction to it and the SECOND he finds something that i'm into, he will not drop it. if i accidentally moan a little louder when he's talking about tying me up, suddenly he's going all in on the topic. talking about different ways he'd tie me up to the bed, maybe he'd even figure out how to hang me from the ceiling? "you'd like that, wouldn't you?"

suguru - actually pretty quiet in bed! not in the way that eren is, where he's holding himself back, but suguru is just so tense all the time that i think it's difficult for him to really relax, even during sex and that's why he's such a giver 👀 but same with eren, when he does make noises, it's like a reward. for dirty talk, it's all praise--how good it feels, how pretty i look, how in love he is--so it really makes sex feel like we're making love rather than fucking like the other boys.

Bentley's an oc I keep coming back to every couple of months bc A) I love the game so much and B) I love my lil courier who's just jinglin janglin their way through the Mojave with their lil robo buddies ED-E and Rex.

In terms of a backstory Bentley's past prior to the run in with Benny is spotty at best - the Doc did a great job patching their skull back together but there's a lot of patches in their memory. They're not too fussed by that for the most part (can't miss what you don't remember right?) but it does become a more prominent issue for them later down the line both in the main game and in terms of the DLC.

They do remember most things though! Mostly surrounding their work and the skills at their disposal - they've been a jack of all trades taking up any kind of job that'll let them travel and explore what's left of the world. Bentley had actually been at the courier gig for a good couple years! Not to mention they've picked up a fair bit of useful info in their travels - people sure love to talk loosely around people they never think they'll see again after all.

Bentley's a bit too laise faire for their own good - they'll shrug off grudges and downplay situations when they really shouldn't so long as they come out of the situation in one piece. Probably the only one out of all my couriers who wouldn't actively throttle Benny immediately on sight if only because they're too invested in the why of the whole picture rather than their own mortality.

Fun fact in their initial design they actually had a pet radroach called Spit! But I suck at drawing animals so I hardly draw em lmao. Maybe someday who knows.

Literally got this and got so excited I had to doodle proper looks for each of the DLCs - they've got a bunch more outfits than this but their coat is too much of a look for them to be caught dead without.

I actually have a couple couriers! One for each of the endings - Bentley's the one that I play the most often but I have fun doodling the others from time to time!

Well hi there, anon! Wow, thanks for all this enthusiasm, I'm super stoked you're into the story! I really appreciate all the hype!

Hmm, as for your questions, let me consider how to answer them... I already have a place for posting any Coattails drabbles, so if there's something I really want to write that won't otherwise work in the main story, you can count on it showing up there. But there have definitely been a few very short scenes over the years that I've cut or reworked as necessary! I'll compile what I can remember here:

Chapter 3: After Mey-Rin's backstory came out in the manga, I changed the scene where Sebastian asks her if she had ever hidden or lied after making a mistake as a kid. Initially, Mey-Rin had told Sebastian that she'd hidden after breaking an heirloom belonging to her father.

Chapters 10-17: The horse jockey plot actually changed a lot while it was being written. Initially, there was supposed to be a literal underground racetrack that Sebastian and Ciel would infiltrate, but during the two-year break between chapters 14 and 15, I decided that I didn't like it anymore and changed Hastings' ploy to be solely about developing the strength injection. I didn't originally plan for Sebastian to reveal he's a demon to Hastings either, but sometimes I just let my writing guide me and see what happens (that's most of the time, if I'm being honest).

Chapter 17: I played around with the idea of Ciel getting one of the strength injections and having to deal with its effects in the short term, but ultimately decided that Sebastian would be too attentive to allow this to happen. It wouldn't have added anything to the story either.

Chapter 26: I really wanted to include a scene where it's lightly implied that the person in the mascot costume at the Funtom event is Yana Toboso, since she's done that RL at the pop-up store, but the chapter already had waaay too much going on, so I nixed it.

Also, Sieglinde's existence is hinted at in chapters 26 and 27, and while she sadly won't make it into the main story of Coattails, I would love for her to meet Ciel and Sebastian in a post-story drabble!

If you were looking for more "deleted" scenes between Dadbastian and sonboy, usually when I come up with those they don't get removed because they're so central to the story. So, sorry I don't have much to provide! I usually do feel disappointed any time I have to do a time skip, because I imagine there must have been a sweet moment between those two during it that'll never be realized. I think small moments are just as important as the big ones, if not more so.

AH, but headcanons about Ciel and Sebastian, in terms of Coattails... Let me see... Well, I guess I'll share some of the things I keep in mind whenever I write the two of them!

Sebastian sometimes misses when things felt easier in their contract, but he doesn't want to go back to how it was before either

Sebastian's favorite thing lately is asking Ciel a question when he doesn't know how Ciel is going to answer it. He often has to restrain himself from being too overbearing

Sebastian's least favorite part of experiencing love is feeling like there's so much he has to worry about now (he doesn't know how to deal with all of his new worries yet)

Sebastian's favorite part of experiencing love is how different it is from anything he's known before. He really doesn't understand it at all yet but he's very curious about it

And now for Ciel headcanons:

Ciel feels that "current Sebastian" is easier to talk to, but doesn't yet trust him completely and isn't convinced that Sebastian's changes are for the better

Ciel hates everything about growing up because it means contending with the fact that he's not already an adult

Ciel talks with Sebastian more than Tanaka because he's afraid his emotions and his past would scare Tanaka

Ciel is pretty sure Sebastian knows he called him "father" one time but has vowed to never ever mention it (he'd rather not know)
