Perhaps a long shot, the owl had been sent and the witch patiently awaited at the established meeting point. Obviously she'd gone right in and ordered herself a pint of beer, killing time in case he didn't show up. An unlikely pair they'd make, but she was a resourceful witch and when in need, she'd do whatever it took. Spotting his pale face at the entrance, Charity nodded her head as a form of greetin him, the pub all too quiet at this time of the day. Most people were working, but not her, at least not today. "Severus, dear, do sit if you may." She gestured with her hand both to him and the barmaid to get him a drink as well. "I need a potion and I hear you're the expert. At least you were when were back in Hogwarts. I trust you still are?"

His shift was almost coming to an end, a relatively slow day as there hadn't been many clients but he had tended to the pile of objects left for repairing. Peter was ready to go home, adding the last touches to an enchanted locket, when the door bell rang and someone came into the shop. He looked up to greet the client, surprised to see who it was. "Snivellus, need to drop something in or are you simply lost?"

Spending so much time out in the courtyard yesterday had been a mistake, Nancy had woken up with a headache and her sinuses were blocked. Such an infliction had made her day filled with back to back classes almost intolerable. As the evening progressed, Nancy felt herself become even more irritated, and tired. After forcing down a bowl of warm broth at the Great Hall, Nancy had reached the end of her tether with the sluggish feeling that had overtook her. Her first stop was the hospital wing, where any hopes of a cure were dashed by Madame Pompfrey's announcement that every batch of pepper-up potion had been distributed. Nancy was turned back, with a soft smile and an instruction to return in the morning.

Not willing to go down without a fight, Nancy made her way to the potions storeroom, determined to find the ingredients for a simple pepper-up potion and muster one up quickly. A torch light illuminated from her wand, Nancy was searching for the last ingredient, Mandrake Root. Creak, the sound of the doorway startled her and made her turn with haste. A sense of relief washing over her upon the realisation that it was another student. "Thank Merlin," Nancy breathed, setting the ingredients back down on the table.

"You don't happen to know where the Mandrake Root is? The Hospital Wing has ran out of pepper-up potion."

He hummed in agreement, allowing his old friend's words to sit for a moment between the two of them. Severus betraying him had never truly crossed his mind before it had already happened. Though Lucius knew his roots, he figured he'd left it all behind, as well as a certain Gryffindor. Considering the way his friend was treated during his school years, Lucius never assumed he'd turn on their side. It hurt, to say the least. They might've lost the war in part to Snape's betrayal, yet a secret part of Lucius was almost grateful for it.

He believed in the cause wholeheartedly. That much was true. However, once he saw those he fought alongside thrown into Azkaban, or even killed, a side of him was grateful it had ended. Now his family was under suspicion, and he was working overtime for positive publicity. Lucius was meant to marry Cissa soon and eventually create the next line of Malfoys. How could that be if he and his family were in prison? The Malfoy name was not to be synonymous with common criminals. "You call them your lot now? After the way they treated you?" He asked lowly, genuinely curious.

He wouldn't admit it - and especially not to Lucius himself - but he hated the distance and coldness between them. Severus knew he was mostly to blame, but still. He had valued Lucius' friendship at one point in his life. Now, that seemed like a very long time ago.

He stayed stock still as the other man took a step closer, glancing subtly over his shoulder before answering, just to make sure they weren't being eavesdropped on - an old habit. "Your lot see me as a traitor, and my lot..." He paused and sneered, not liking calling the Order his people. "Think me a liar."

Things that make me murderous: Snaters who are like “why didn’t Snape just grow up and get over it”, as if c-ptsd from a lifetime of abuse at home and school doesn’t cause damage to the mind and can’t just disappear the minute you turn 18. Untreated, unhealed childhood c-ptsd in adults is a nightmare. It is hellishly hard to function in society emotional stunting and anger issues are common. And it’s made so much worse by continuously being around triggers of your trauma.

a. woa wow me too I hc him as autistic!

b. i dont hc him as autistic but that's cool for you!

you know what headcanon that Snape's hair is drenched in oil on purpose because he gets headaches all the time and the oil is like headache relief (why not take headache relief potion instead? because he's developed a resistance to them and he's got some sense of self preservation left so he's not gonna risk damaging himself with them. Oil it is. It smells lovely too)

Wendy had been asked to sit in the White Wyvern and eavesdrop. Its location in Knockturn Alley made it a gathering place for some of London's more seedy individuals. The Order was hoping to take advantage of Wendy's work-honed ability to overhear things and read between the lines in conversations to see if any information about the Death Eaters could be found.

She hadn't even bothered with a glamour or altering her appearance. It wasn't really common knowledge that she was working with the Order, after all. And it wasn't as if the Prophet's offices were all that far from the pub.

She had slid into a seat at the bar and ordered a pint when the man next to her had spoken up. She cut her eyes to the side and sized up Severus with a raised eyebrow. "Evening, Snape," she said, accepting her drink from the bartender with a smile.

The bar was quickly becoming his third location next to work and home, but he enjoyed having somewhere to go in between the Ministry and before seeing Lily. James walked into The Three Broomstick and already something was wrong. It wasn't that his usual chair was taken, but it was who was sitting in his seat. James stared at Severus Snape as if he could just pretend he wasn't there. He walked forward and saw the man bent over a notebook. For a moment, he stood and watched behind Snape's shoulder. "You're missing a comma right...there," he said and pointed at the page. "You're welcome."

cursed child broadway year 5 scorbus

the other day i had the absolute pleasure of watching cursed child on broadway!! i sat front row so i was super close to the action and it was incredible!!!

i got to see the amazing joel meyers and erik c. peterson as albus and scorpius and i just wanted to say that their scorbus is SO. BEAUTIFUL.

their dynamic is the absolute cutest and i could not stop smiling when watching them! i posted a small thread on twitter about this and wanted to share my notes i took during intermission and after the show based on what i watched between these two!

i’ll put the points under a ‘more’ button so it doesn’t spoil anything for anyone but tap below if you want to read about joel and erik’s scorbus from my show the other night!

i also got to meet erik after the show but besides the point ENJOY MY NOTES

their first meet was so cute!!! both so shy with each other and honestly very careful but you can tell both of them know they’re making the right decision speaking to each other (side note maya as rose is so funny i love her)

“YOU CAN STAND NEXT TO ME!!!” was SO passionate on erik’s part which contrasted to his scorpius in the train scene which was SO CUTE

joelbus placing a hand on scorik’s shoulder after finding out about astoria and giving him a side hug as they walked off stage ☹️

joelbus looked so hurt and in disbelief when harry yelled at him in the bedroom it hurt me so much

when joelbus hugs scorik for the first time on the train, it’s such a squeezy hug and scorik is very calm and collected whilst panicked at the same time i giggled

THE SLOW MOTION ON THE TRAIN both joelbus and scorik were holding onto each other and joelbus began to fall backwards and it basically looked like scorik was dipping him romantically it was sooooo not straight of them

scorik tried to climb the suitcases onto the top of the train but started to panic saying “albus i can’t!!” so joelbus started to tell him to get down and basically picked him up by the waist and put him back on the floor SO DOMESTIC OF THEM (picture that one dance scene from the little mermaid cartoon where eric picks ariel up if you can’t picture it)

when in the forest with delphi, scorik is SO JEALOUS and when watching from afar he looks so hurt seeing albus and delphi and gives her the biggest glare when he approaches them

scorik was very certain in the edge of the forest scene when he said albus was better. he KNEW how amazing he was and wasn’t afraid to say it and joelbus looked so warmed by his comment

staircase ballet!!! they both just stared at each other for a very long time at the top of the stairs and at the end when their staircases parted, scorik reached out to joelbus :(

the library scene was SO WELL DONE THERES SO MUCH TO SAY!!! scorik’s “TRY MY LIFE!!!” was so painful i genuinely teared up you could see the absolute pain in his eyes and all the bottled up emotions just spilling out he deserved the biggest hug

when joelbus said he wasn’t a loser before he met scorpius, scorik looked absolutely destroyed omg and when scorik said albus was the most terrible friend and didn’t make his life better, joelbus looked so regretful and upset with what he’d done

joelbus’ apology to scorpius was so beautiful!! the gentle voice and the pauses between every line!! when he said scorpius was a light in the darkness it was so sweet!!! when scorik interrupted him with a ‘thank you’ after albus apologised about astoria, it was so :(((

after the apology, they were both so giggly and soft with each other with the most gentle smiles it was so cute!!! and when joelbus pulled scorik into the hug, they really sat into it and when they broke apart, it genuinely looked like they’d been caught doing something wrong

scorik in the dark world needed to be protected omg the poor boy looked so scared all the time

LAKE SCENE OH MY GOD when joelbus emerged from the lake, scorik swam over to him and grabbed his face and caressed it whilst saying the “it’s really you!” line IT WAS ADORABLE HE WAS SO RELIEVED AND HAPPY

special mention to scorik’s screaming fest after jumping out of the lake (“ITS HARRYYYYY!”) it was SO FUNNY he was shaking his body around so violently and was on his hands and knees screaming at the top of his lungs PLS the applause afterwards was deserved

in mcgonagall’s office, as she’s telling them both off, you could see scorik reaching his hand backwards trying to find joelbus and joelbus looked down at his hand and his fingers did move close to his hand but they pulled apart before they could touch !!!!!

the entire beginning of the owlery scene (which is the dialogue from slytherin dorms in the one parter) was so cute!!! they both did not break eye contact and joelbus was so shocked when scorik confessed he changed everything back because of him and thought of him

as delphi was torturing scorik, joelbus’ screams were SO SAD he was tearing his throat apart screaming scorpius’ name and pleading delphi to stop it broke my heart :(((

delphi did the mocking ‘friend’ line delivery and when she said ‘love’ as albus’ weakness and pointed at scorpius, both joelbus and scorik’ locked eyes with absolute shock and fear on their faces and refused to break it until delphi pulled them away

very touchy with each other in the train station scene! scorik held onto joelbus’ arm and touched his chest when talking to him!! and after his little “hello mr station man” bit, joelbus absolutely glared at him LMAO

GODRICS HOLLOW OH MY GODDDD they were always reaching for each other and joelbus even took scorik’s hands in one part when they were panicking

when they hid from lily and james behind the door, scorik stood in joelbus’ arms (one on scorik’s shoulder and the other around his chest) and then scorik turned in his arms to face him and placed a hand on the arm that was over his chest and the other on joelbus’ chest !!!! they stood very close together in that part and looked so comforted in each other’s embrace it was so cute :’)

scorik shoved joelbus after the ‘no offence’ line and they giggled ☹️

when the battle with delphi ended, scorik came over to joelbus and placed a hand on his arm (and i couldn’t tell from the angle i was sitting on bc joel blocked the view but i’m pretty certain they were holding hands as well)

STAIRCASE SCENE when joelbus said the palace line, he delivered it so slowly and he carefully placed his hand on scorik’s shoulder whilst glancing between his lips and eyes and when scorik said “isn’t it?” he reached out to joelbus and they were both leaning in !!!!

scorik began to leave but then stopped, looked back at joelbus, pondered for a second and then ran to hug him and joelbus absolutely melted into it and they embraced each other so tightly and intimately and delivered the lines whilst hugging until “i wasn’t sure” 😭😭😭😭😭

and finally, once joelbus told harry that scorpius was the most important person in his life and harry said it was a good thing, he looked so happy and relieved and began to cry ☹️

another small detail throughout the show i loved was the breathing exercises they’d do together!!! whenever scorik got over excited or worried, joelbus would guide him through a short breathing exercise to ground him it was so lovely

overall, i am so glad i got to see these two as scorbus!!! their interpretation of their relationship is so cute and made my heart melt completely <3
