In a previous post I said that liking clowns gets you mugged in Gotham.

Dick Grayson has made an entire Ph.D level dissertation about how clowns are supposed to work and how the Joker is not a real clown. Including the history of clowning, the importance of jesters, the impact of Marcel Marceau during WWII, and how all of this can lead us to the conclusion that the Joker is an affront to all things clownish.
