me like a week or two ago playing bg3 and trying to decide if i wanted to play my durge character as heading towards an evil ending or a more neutral/good aligned ending: hm yeah its just such a difficult decision cus like, even though Orin's my fav character in the game and it would be fun to investigate the whole "chosen one" end game story stuff with a Dark Urge character i think it'll just end up being too much for me to see through all the way.....i always feel so guilty and bad doing evil character runs in player choice type games.....i'll make a new save point here and see if i can stand the evil choices enough to keep going with it i guess

me now that i've almost made it to end of the main story in the Evil Run Save File™️ and have been having so much fun with it that i've already decided its my character's True Canon Plotline and thus spending my free time in the past couple days making long detailed 'character/story/lore info' lists in my phone notes app and plotting out entire novel length fanfic ideas based on the whole evil plotline instead of any other possible narrative paths:

#character bio, the one with likes/dislikes:

extra 2-word character description at the top, DND-esque; usually adjective-noun & establishes What they are [ex repentant angel, demon renegade, cursed outsider, heroic mage, chained charlatan] personality: (disposition adjective) + (role noun). ex "melancholic observer," "mischeivous thrillseeker" likes: self explanatory, but tend to have a good amount of ones that arent immediately discernible from the rest of their info sheets dislikes: same as above fatal flaw: plot relevant issue other: something unexpected quote: something they said in game that succinctly illustrates their personality or role in the story

captions: makes a question out of one of their notable traits, + relevant emoji (ex: One way to warm Mhin’s icy heart is with tasty sweets. What kind of dessert would you gift them? 🍰 / The last person who saw Vere's sketchbook mysteriously went missing… What do you think they saw in it? 🔪)

2-word character description at the top again paragraph 1: establishes their role in the world, general disposition and reputation, a hint of their deep secrets & a subtle hint at what core issue plagues them (thing that defines their arc) paragraph 2: what they want/how they interact with you (core issue style), ends with their narrative question (the implied yes/no that determines good or bad ending) [ex: can you redeem him, or are you the final entry in a long list of tragedies?]

captions: restates implied core struggle & narrative question [Some people are beyond saving. Ais teeters on the brink of the abyss… Can you help him or will he drag you under? / Many Monsters lust for blood, but Vere promises to protect you. BIG UPDATE FOLKS!

So I’ve been meaning to say something about this for a while now, but due to time restraints and me trying to get stuff more established, I just haven’t been able to. Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t been posting up here much for a while now. Those of you who follow my other socials have probably also noticed that I have not been tagging anything as Htf within the last month or so and that my art there has had small design tweaks taking away some of the more iconic features that are standard for Htf (piecut eyes and pink heart noses for example). So I will be completely transparent with you all here.

Essentially, thanks to encouragement from outside friends and for the sake of my own mental health, I’m ripping my ocs and story out of Htf completely. By this point it has completely become its own thing. The concept of Death loops and anthropomorphic animals are not exclusive to Htf and even then, so much has deviated from the original formula that I hardly recognize it as that anymore. I haven’t had much desire or interest in drawing canon stuff for a while now, and it’s not a matter of me disliking it. I just have been feeling so fulfilled by this original story that we’ve been building for a few years now and I really want to dive into it and make it a real thing outside of the confines of a fandom. Being able to share this story to others on the outside of the fandom without needing that specific context has been really good for me and I feel like the art and writing I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into now has a future.

What does this mean? Well the story for the most part is the same. There’s been some redesigns such as Nergals temple, the idols, Dumuzis brother (which luckily cro-marmot did not *really* have an established character in show and my characterization of him is my own anyways), but the overall plot and world building and the way the curse works was already my own original idea so that stays the same. I will not ignore that this story is very inspired by Htf, but it’s grown so much that I think it’s time that it walked on its own. Canon Htf characters are no longer a part of the world, there is no “Happy Tree Town” ect. Certain ocs, however, are still a part of it; such as Icky, Hopps, Screwball, Kyle, ect. This is still a collaborative effort with @ickyguts and @technicoloranimalviolence since they have been a part of it for a while now and have both inspired me and have helped me a ton with writing. Their ocs are still their ocs of course and what they do with them will always be ultimately up to them so nothing will be made involving their ocs without their consent. They are part of the team for as long as they wish to be <3 And I am so proud and honored to be working with them on this project.

Now I want to make it clear that while I’m cutting this story completely out of Htf that does not mean I hate Htf or the fandom or anything. It’s done a lot for me and people for the most part have been very kind and supportive of me. I may still even draw fanart of canon characters in the future if I ever get the itch to again. I just really wanna be able to do more with this story outside of that. I haven’t felt so fired up by a project like this in so long and since I’ve made the decision to do this I have been feeling really excited and happy about creating again. There’s something really fun about working on a project that’s your own that I can’t explain. I’m still establishing and setting up a lot for it but it’s very much in motion and I have a lot of cool folks cheering me on inside and outside of this little fandom. I know I’m definitely going to be taking a hit as far as followers go now that I’m going full original content, I may even lose a lot of you here because of it, but there’s something really exciting about building from the ground up. I want to make it clear though that there is absolutely no pressure for you to stick around if me drawing Htf was what you were here for and if this news makes you lose interest in this blog. I want people to follow me because they like my work overall.

That brings me to the fate of this blog. I will still keep it up and keep up my old posts. Like I said I do not wish to try and bury the roots of this story. I’ve joked with some friends that I’m “pulling a 50 Shades of Grey with this shit”. Old art will remain, but here on out the trio and my other ocs are not a part of Htf. Be Brave is no more.

"I don't like it when writers do this!" A probably useless rant by Coz

Hey yall! I've been seeing some stuff simmering to the surface (ooh alliteration) in the mcyt fandom (specifically in fanfiction) and i just wanna come out and say this

are you writing an au with one of these topics:

characters who are siblings (but not in canon)

characters who are crackshipped

huge polyships/everyone's a ship

ooc behaviors (especially when its explained via backstory)

little to no canon lore

crossovers w/ characters who have never interacted

anything that isn't considered "standard"

if so, then here's some advice from someone who's also writing pretty much everything in that list:

If someone asks you why you made a writing choice with the intention of judging, say "I did it because I wanted to"

I mean, who can argue with that?

Now people could try and say that "Oh its not canon! But this is indirectly contributing to [insert vaguely related issue here]! Just make them OCs!" but what does that matter to anything if you just wanted to write it? To hell with the need for explanation, fanfiction authors aren't hired! Unless you're from the past and you're writing ye olde fan fiction for His Majesty King Henry in the hopes that you don't lose your head, you don't have to cater to anyone else with what you write.

If people don't like seeing two characters as siblings, or a lack of plot point xyz, then they don't have to read stuff with those criteria. There are some really popular fics and aus that I don't really like, but the way I get by is by not reading more of them and not criticizing them on tumblr.

Now, I know me saying this isn't gonna stop the masses from screaming into the void about how "this is bad! I don't like it!" (I mean, look at me; I'm about to lose my voice to the void from this post alone). I'm mostly trying to let other writers know that these people shouldn't pressure you against writing what you want to write. You have as much of a right to write what you want as they do to criticize what they dislike.

Trust me, I've written for others before. It's not fun.

At the end of the day, people are gonna not like things. We're humans, that's kinda our deal. Don't let someone's opinion on the internet get you down. Write and read whatever you want; there's always someone who will like what you do!

Addendum: I'm not hating on ppl who just say "I don't like this". That would be wildly hypocritical of me, someone who complains about things on an hourly basis. Everyone's allowed to be a hater. I just think that making judgements to a fan-creator's face, or claiming that something is problematic when it's just something you don't like reading is not classy. It's not EVIL, just not classy. (Especially that last part; not everything has to be about morals, but that's a topic for another rant ;D )

Could you maybe do headcanons, (or however you wanna do it!!!) for the flags with a 7th somewhat newer member who’s their first girl. I just love the concept of them having to get used to their dynamic shifting when they’ve suddenly got a little lady on the team. Especially if the woman on their team is super soft and gentle and feminine.

I know they’re all already besties and i love their dynamic so so much. The way you write them just bantering and hanging out makes me so happy. I’m just curious about how you think that dynamic would work with a fem person who’s just sweet and very casually touchy feely unlike them. So like, while they’re all chatting and playing pool and stuff, if she’s standing next to one of them she’s doing something like like casually scratching her nails along their back or pausing to fix a stray strand of their hair/ gently adjusting their clothes for them. I just think that is soooo polar opposite of the general tough guy mafia energy that it would throw a hilarious wrench in their dynamic.

Bonus if she starts referring to them as “her boys.” Casually.

If you don’t wanna write it, that’s totally fine! No pressure! I just love the way you handle their GROUP dynamic and dialogue specifically. It makes me so happy. If you aren’t comfortable with that then I’d also always be happy to just see more of what you think them hanging out looks like. Thank you so soooo much!!

Aww, thank you!! I’m so happy you like the way I write them! We know so little about them that I’m worried they’ve mutated into my OCs at this point instead of following canon.

If you just want to see more of them, I’ve got good news! Currently have a cute comfort drabble in the drafts, and I’ve already started plotting a full AU fic where they take center stage, so stay tuned for that! The challenge is just getting myself to write it, but I made a promise to myself to at least start posting the first few chapters before the Stormbringer manga run ends.

Now, without further ado, my headcanons for the Flags with a female member:

It takes a while for the girl to ingratiate herself into the group. They’re not necessarily wary of her (not more than they are other people), but it’s just hard to infiltrate such a close-knit group.

In the beginning, things are a little stilted as the dynamic shifts to accommodate another person. At this time, the girl would have to be careful when and how much affection she shows with them. They can still bite at any moment — one wrong move and it’s over.

Once they’ve accepted her into the group, their dynamic with each other remains largely the same. They still banter and roughhouse, but now they have a girl to include in their antics (if she’s willing).

The girl would be their “star” — the one who stands in the light and staves off a little of the darkness of the mafia world. Seeing as she’s soft and gentle, they would probably work together to keep her blind to the true nature of their work. Sometimes, though, Albatross and Chuuya’s filters malfunction (especially when they’re arguing), so Piano Man and Lippmann often have to redirect the girl’s attention.

When there’s an audience, they wouldn’t want the girl to be touchy with them (they have a reputation to maintain, damn it!) with the only exception being Lippmann. If it’s just their group, they’re more accepting.

Piano Man accepts the casual touches like he’s owed them. He’s not embarrassed by it at all and will exaggeratedly reciprocate to get a rise out of the girl.

Albatross basks in it. He’s a touchy person himself, but the other Flags aren’t big on initiating skinship, so he loves that their new member returns his easy affections.

If Iceman and Chuuya flinch, it’s because they’re used to watching their backs, and letting someone be close enough to them to be able to give those casual touches is uncomfortable and strange. The others will tease them for it endlessly (mostly Chuuya because his reactions are funnier and Iceman is like a stone wall).

“Are you guys really that scared of a little girl?” (Albatross) or “It’s obvious Chuuya’s never felt the touch of a woman before.” (Doc)

Where Albatross is more overt and loud with his physical affection, Lippmann is subtle and chaste. He’s probably a little more touchy than Albatross, actually, it’s just that no one notices. Him and the girl would be like two peas in a pod.

Doc acts like he’s not affected or he doesn’t care about it, but in reality, he gravitates toward the casual touches. He’s kinda like a cat.

The Flags are protective of each member of their group and value each other’s opinions because they all bring a different strength to the table. Naturally, this would extend to the girl. Considering her personality, her role would probably lean into that of a caretaker. She could ease tempers and provide the emotional comfort/healing that Doc isn’t good at. Those that aren’t as in touch with their emotional side (Chuuya) or don’t like being vulnerable (Piano Man, Iceman) may snarl at her attempts, but they are eventually receptive.

When she refers to them as “her boys” while in their presence, Chuuya is (predictably) embarrassed, Lippmann laughs it off good-naturedly, Albatross lights up and proclaims “I love you too!” all dramatically, Piano Man asks her not to say it in front of other people (but ultimately lets her do it), Doc says something along the lines of “I’m not that young, you know,” through his amusement, and Iceman is unbothered but likes watching the chaos unfold.

Is it just me, or does it feel like there are several more mutants in the TMNT 2012 universe that the show never talked about? What I mean is, New York can't be the only city where mutants roam around. Unless they picked specifically NY and nowhere else to do their mutations and all that stuff. What if there are mutants from different places? Idk, this thought randomly just appeared in my head.

I was actually thinking about this the other day cause in the season 2 episode The Kraang Conspiracy, Kurtzman shows April and the Turtles his research, explaining the Kraang have been on earth for many MANY years.

With the Kraang being on Earth for this long, you'd think they probably have other bases and are experimenting on mutants in other parts of the world outside of NY but the show never explores that concept. We can assume that NY is their primary location for their studies and experiments (considering that is where their leader Kraang Prime resides and they've suggested Kraang are like a hive mind, like bees with their queen, but with mind control cause all Kraang are just brainwashed Utrom under the control of K!Prime) and NY is where they wish to execute their big plan, but did the writers ever consider that establishing that the Kraang have been here since Ancient Egyptian times that maybe the Kraang aren't actually gone when the Turtles calm they are by season 4-5??? Which btw, there's never an actual conclusion to the Kraang plot, they just disappear after the Triceraton invasion. The last time we see the Kraang species as a whole is in the season 4 ep War for Dimenson X, with the later ep Trans Dimensional Turtles being the last time we see Kraang Sub Prime.

At the same time, the show makes in clear that the Kraang are cowards, whenever facing a threat that can easily over power them, they run away (EX: the Triceratons, instead of fighting back they just ran and hide away to avoid conflict until the Triceratons found them hidding on Earth) So I could assume the Kraang wanted to lay low and only are in NY, maybe they've hopped around to different states and/or countries every few hundred years to avoid being spotted, but theirs still a high chance that some of the Kraang failed/rejected mutant experiments (future ally or foe) are still out there wondering the Earth that the Turtles are unware of.

Writers and artist of TMNT 2012, this gives yall an opening for fun fanfics and even OC making! Make a mutant OC that was created in another part of the world. Its possible in canon that other Kraang bases exist outside of NY. There's potential here!! GO FOR IT! :D

REGARDING THE HUNGER GAMES + PACIFC RIM

I don't have anything specific in mind, but I also have too many ideas. Listen, I love these series with my whole heart. I just want plots in it. I have a slight preference for writing ocs, but I could be persuaded to write canons. Alternatively, also love to explore these as AUs to our main plots.

--- WHAT I'M INTERESTED IN WRITING- ---

I'm interested in deep diving into characters and developing them extensively. I actually want to explore their story as a whole, from the big moments, to the mundane stuff, to the cringe, to the cliché, to the argument, and though times etc. I like to explore every little detail, and put them in different alternative universes. And yes, we can have an AU where they're just regular people in a real life setting - I genuinely want to explore it all.

I only double up - I enjoy writing several characters with my writing partners, so only doing one ship doesn't make sense to me.

I'm boo boo the fool for exploring family dynamics: I will want to talk about our characters as parents (even if it's only in AUs) and potentially even write their children. This is mandatory for me, I'm sorry but I really love exploring family dynamics and characters as parents. Hi! I'm Elle - 25+, F, 10+ years experience, staunch purple prose hater. I don't know the meaning of nonchalant: I make pinterest boards, I love character development and exploring AUs. I'm all in all the time.

I'm down for all things. I don't stress. I don't have triggers. I write all sorts of threads: short threads, long threads, tech threads, heavily plotted threads, improvised threads - I don't care. All I ask from you is enthusiasm + common sense + don't be gross.

I explore NSFW the same way I explore every other part of my characters and if my writing partner is comfortable with NSFW I'll write character development tidbits about my character's sexuality/sex life and at some point I'll likely talk about the ship's sex life. HOWEVER, I don't enjoy writing smut. I write it once in a blue moon. I'm more likely to write a smutty drabble than roleplay smut. I don't enjoy smut being the focus of the plot and I don't enjoy being sent unsolicited NSFW images of the characters (it has happened more than once, please don't do this).

If I write with you, I'll adore your characters, so I need you to care about mine too. This is mandatory. If I'm the only one always asking questions and you show no interest in my characters, I'm out.

You know when to rapid-fire and when to write long descriptive threads and don't care about word counts. I can write a lot but I hate ending up with a thread that has 10 different lines of dialogue because it's messy as hell. Just because a reply is lengthy doesn't mean it has quality or substance.

Egyptology Exercises / All This We Do in the Name of Ma’at by Nedjemet

Original synopsis: “My attempt at redoing Yu-Gi-Oh with a focus on character development, magic, and historical accuracy instead of card games. While this is technically a series, "All This We Do in the Name of Ma'at" functions as a standalone story. All of the other stories are just in-universe follow ups to show what the characters got up to after the story was over. These shorts largely function as stand alones, too, since Ma'at follows cannon very closely in the important ways. All of the stories are ordered loosely in terms of when they occured. You can read them in any order.

All of the Egyptology is heavily researched and I did my best to get it right. If something is off and you have a source, please send it my way!

All of the stuff in modern Japan has minimal research done and is more for flavor than anything else. I'm going for anime-level accuracy with that, not realism.”

Notes: This series is sort of YMMV for me. To be entirely honest, the smut gets a little too weird for me in a lot of installments, so I don’t revisit it too often, but the first installment is definitely my favorite, and I love seeing the intimacy between Yuugi & Atem grow while they’re still sharing a body. The 4th installment is my other favorite, as it focuses less on smut and more on character interactions.

HYA: nah, that's more his elder sibling tagetes's thing. the main thing to know about hya is that he HATES people. he doesn't want to be around them if he doesn't have to, let alone have to touch them or have them try to touch him. its all a no go for him and he doesn't have the patience to play the long game and try to manipulate someone like that. his "flaw" is he's too straightforward i guess pfff

AMON: absolutely, and that's part of the plot of paramour in itself. though, he doesn't think or assume for a second that hya has any romantic feelings for him (to his own detriment) however, he does definitely take advantage of the fact that they have insane sexual chemistry to try and further his goals. amon isn't above using anyone or anything to get what he wants so, if someone falls in love with him and he wants something out of them.... rip to them fr.

7. What is the most romantic gesture your OC has ever performed? Alternatively (or additionally), what romantic gesture would they most like to perform?

HYA: this man is allergic to romance so i don't know if there's any he'd like to perform LMAOOO. however, i think the most romantic gesture that he performs is post-canon so spoilers ig? but basically when he and amon decide they want to get married, he respects amon's wish that the ring be something that he could've afforded on his butler's salary when he was still working at the chateau. if you know anything about hya the man is materialistic as they come, so getting something simpler and less expensive to show the man that he's grown to love that he values him and sees him as an equal is quite the Gesture, for him.

AMON: it mostly works in context, but essentially the most romantic thing (imo) that amon has ever done was cry in front of hya. you may ask: how does this make sense--but to condense many of the rants that i've had about how amon and hya's relationship works, you have to understand the fact that amon lies to everyone. about everything. about his intentions, his thoughts, his feelings, everything. everything he does is means to an end except with a very close few people and even them, rather than telling him how he feels he distances himself so that he doesn't hurt them, or so that they can't hurt him. so him taking a step to Be vulnerable in front of hya in a way where he's showing him his true self makes me SOOOOOOO UNWELL. but in terms of stuff he wants to do as a romantic gesture, its top hya and/or eat his ass--i'm sorry this man thinks with his dick 99% of the time i can't save him.

9. If your OC were ever to fill out a Dating Site (or pamphlet or newspaper) profile, then what would they include?

HYA: if he was ever forced to make one by someone it'd say: "call me if you have money" PFFFFF. otherwise he wouldn't. no information about himself, nothing l m a o.

AMON: honestly it would probably be a long list of his kinks, along with his height (6'1") his hobbies (sex, drinking, and fighting), and his name. he's kinda straightforward and probably mostly looking for a fuck and not an actual meaningful relationship LMAO.

12. If your OC were in love, how might they recognise this? Or would they be too much in denial?

HYA: he's literally so in denial he never admits it in canon i'm not joking. its very implied but hya doesn't hit that stage of emotional growth it takes him Many MANY years that the book will not show to get there lmaoooo. however, i will (with amon as well) show off the current scene that exists where he does kind of get close to talking about how he feels:

“What sort of companionship do you want, Hya?”  He could’ve said something like this. The barbs and teases, the comforting yet insufferable tango of their arrangement that ground his gears to finely sifted dust. Amon would not leave; but it was a choice he freely made over and over: to stay with his arrogant master. Was this a sort of love? Hyacinthus didn’t know. He didn’t think he loved his paramour… yet imagining any arrangement without him seemed far less preferable.  As always, Amon seemed to know. The smile on his face now, was softer than Hyacinthus would’ve liked, yet it was laced with something like self satisfaction.  “I detest you.” Hyacinthus murmured again. It was almost fond.  “Come and assure me of your displeasure then.” Amon quipped back, just as soft, and he let Hyacinthus tangle into him once more, like a stubborn stain the maid could not rinse out.

AMON: it takes amon a long while for him to recognize that he's in love with hya--partly denial and partly due to his own obtuseness and stubornness in adhering to his own goals. but when he does realize it, my god does it hit him like a truck. he started realizing it when he started to want hya to know him--like he wanted to give him that pleasure of not only pleasuring him (which is a whole can of worms in itself), but that he didn't want to lie to hya. that somehow, some way, even if he intended to lie, that he would end up being honest with hya in some way or another. that he SMILES around hya, genuinely, that he genuinely enjoys being around him and teasing him and barbing at him. like one minute he was trying to use hya to get close to killing hya's spouse, and the next he's over here worried for his fucking safety????? like amon realizes and it tears him apart and its delicious and im obsessed with it.

and also amon has one of my current favorite lines in all the paramour draft docs:

So basically my silly Lobotomy Corporation DnD campaign character is a sweeper who has become a corrosion. For all you non-Project Moon fans, I'll do my best to explain the various terms and stuff you guys wouldn't understand so don't worry. Also heads up all abnormalities in the campaign aren't actual canon ones but were made up for the campaign itself and there's of course some headcanon stuff sprinkled within to flesh things out more (such as giving more lore to the sweepers and whatnot)

First to get this started, this campaign follows the plot of the Project Moon games (Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina specifically) but instead of L Corp falling like it does canonically, some Sephirah (basically the managers of each individual department that makes up the facility) from a different L Corp branch took over and managed to keep it from falling. So yeah, the Library exists but Lobotomy Corporation didn't fall entirely.

Now's the fun part: the Sweepers! The Sweepers are basically people who've been turned into a meat soup effectively and put into a metallic body. They inhabit the Backstreets (basically the poor areas that are mostly unprotected and whatnot) of each district and they come out at night to 'sweep away' whatever is caught outside. Typically that entails bodies, objects, or people who get stuck outside when it becomes time for the Sweepers to do their sweep of a district. Think of them as a force of nature in a way, as their existence is simply part of how the City works. They absorb organic matter like flesh to sustain themselves. The Head (basically the supreme government of the City) lets the Sweepers exist and also even will request their assistance sometimes.

Lastly, the only other thing I think I really need to go over is enkephalin. It's basically the energy that is produced by abnormalities in Lobotomy Corporation. It can be consumed for a calming effect typically however it can easily cause one to become addicted to it and it can cause hallucinations. Basically two-for-one deal on energy and drug alike!

Now we can get into the actual OC lore. It's under the cut simply because it gets a little fucked up so yeah.

CW: Drugs, Suicide, Self-harm, Cannibalism, Sex is mentioned but it's not really gone into or anything so don't worry, and Gender Dysphoria

Basically my character was born Bea Twixt, a girl, and they were in an orphanage for as long as they could remember (they never learned what happened to their parents and whatnot). They grew up there, never being adopted on account of how strange they were as a person so eventually, once they reached age 18, they were kicked out. By then they'd developed some gender dysphoria, realizing they weren't a girl but rather were nonbinary, and with the strain of being kicked out to the streets and gender dysphoria breathing down their neck, they attempted to commit suicide by waiting outside during the hour the Sweepers come out. Things went different from how they expected as instead of being killed, they were taken in by a Sweeper family known as the In-Laws (this isn't canon to the games and rather was made for this campaign). The In-Laws are more on the espionage side of things and will do espionage missions on behalf of other Sweeper families. Those in the In-Laws often are sent out on diplomatic missions. They're also rather accepting of people, willing to take in just about anyone even if they don't want to go through the full process of becoming a traditional Sweeper.

After a bit, they changed their name to just simply Twixt as they did stuff for their new family. Twixt eventually began to regularly use enkephalin by this point, even going as far as to do prostitute stuff for enkephalin. Eventually the In-Laws put them into a agent job in a Lobotomy Corporation facility where they became friends with Lewis (another player's character) and developed a very *close* bond (you can probably guess what exactly that means) with a particular abnormality known as Bloodlust (as stated earlier, this is a made up abnormality for the campaign). Eventually a massive abnormality breach occurred one day, resulting in the facility they worked at going to shit. During that, they put on the E.G.O. weapons and armor extracted from Bloodlust to help save people.

Later that very same armor corroded them, ultimately turning them into basically a humanoid fluffy black moth (this is the process of corrosion) and instead of being overcome by the abnormalities thoughts and desires, they were seemingly fine. Weirdly enough the transformation helped with their gender dysphoria so they at least had that going for them. Eventually though another Lobotomy Corporation facility (the new main one) ended up taking them in and putting them on the extraction team because of the fact they were technically L Corp property now that they had corroded from E.G.O. from a facility. So yeah, that's how they ended up with the other player characters out here recapturing the abnormalities that escaped from the facility that had everything breach.

During this time, Twixt catches feelings for Esh (he's the safety department Sephirah and he's got a lot of emotional baggage) and eventually, after his Sephirah meltdown, start dating. With his help, they actually start getting off of enkephalin and they're a lot happier and doing much better now.

That's basically all for now but there is going to be a whole thing that has to do with Twixt later on in the campaign so more lore later but until now that's about all the main points to cover. think i've been into creative writing as a concept since like... forever? not quite sure when it started, but by the time i was in third grade i was already doing worldbuilding and writing original fantasy stories. (not that they were very good.)

around fifth grade i got into wings of fire and i'd write the occasional oc fic. also not very well, and i struggled a lot to commit to anything. everyone else was making ocs and writing about them so i just... also did that. didn't put a lot of thought into why or what i wanted out of it. didn't focus on canon characters like... ever, until around 2022 or so.

i started properly wanting to get into writing fanfiction about canonical characters around this time last year, actually. i think it was call of duty actually that started this lol. no one understands these characters (bell & roach primarily) like i do and it !! sucks !! but also makes a lot of sense due to the kind of fandom cod is. i think i actually got like 4k words into a fix-it fanfic regarding roach but that text is truly lost media.

moon knight i actually wrote stuff for that stuck. it was a similar thing of 'there is a niche of fic i want that no one writes the way i want.' Tying Up Loose Ends was me trying to explore jake given the scraps from the show, Unfortunate Circumstances was my take on a short 'mk meet the avengers' fic the way i thought would be closer to how it'd actually play out. i actually had a concept for a longer meet the avengers fic set somewhere around tws that i don't think i ever wrote down my ideas for but it was fun to think about. i also have an outline for a comics-based fic that i got surprisingly far in, because no one is writing about moon knight (2021) and i love moon knight (2021). jed mackay i'd trust you with my life.

batman fanfiction specifically is interesting because my first fic--rust red, bruised purple, lazarus green was just nearly 5k words me projecting onto jason, and i usually... don't write vent fic like that? but it's there. it's out in the world.

that got veryyy long and rambly and tangential. uh when it comes down to it i was always a creative artistic child and fanfic writer was an extension of that which came very naturally to me.

i think tim drake is far more interesting a character when his life is the most generic, boring suburban middle-upper class experience ever prior to him picking up the robin costume. make his former status quo an extremely comfortable existence! make the core of his conflict trying to balance his responsibilities as robin & his civilian life, make him flake on his friends and fail his classes. make him a normal kid who has forced himself into the superhero scene even though he didn't even want to, but now he cannot conceptualize himself as anything out of robin. make him so dedicated to the comfort of familiarity that he will cling onto what he knows so very tightly even when it's unhealthy.

i don't actually know how popular this interpretation of tim is but uh. it is the version of him that's been coming together in my head that i think i do prefer at this point.

batarang scar fic that is long and complicated. because jason would never willingly tell anyone about the batarang incident. because i really don't think the batkids would necessarily believe jason right away. i want it to be messy and difficult to navigate but for it to nevertheless end... hopeful, if not happy.

i don't really know who i would want to write this but @birdieisnotwriting has written no glory in love, which is pretty much exactly what i want out of batarang fics so i truly do owe her my life. r_astra's a second psalm of life also touches on it in a way that i like, although the focus is more spread out to bruce's behavior regarding jason in general. and a lot of different users came together to come up with a concept @glitter-stained summed up as "the team up from hell" that i think is an ideal way to take this premise.

I try to use my Likes section to keep track of things I need to reply to or will be inspired by. After I am through writing a draft I unlike the thread again. My likes are public to show what's going on. Please let me know if you think something should be there!

Please block me if you feel the need to. I respect everyone's right to block me on the grounds that Stolas gives them the ick or I do. It's happened before--I've seen a name interacting with others and go to their page and end up blocked. It's fine. People should curate a space that brings them joy. People should NOT try to take joy from others. If we have been interacting I would appreciate the courtesy of being told what has happened, what I did wrong, etc so I may take the feedback and contemplate if I feel adjustments are needed. Again: Communication is sexy and cool and all the good kissers do it.

Any Stolas muns are welcome into the Stolas-Player Support Hot Tub and Bubble Bath which doesn’t exist yet but will, potentially on discord. Anons can suck the fun out of things, but grading them like we're strict schoolteachers is hilarious!

Yes, I have discord but rarely RP there. I primarily use it for communication and smothering my friends with pictures of my small dog. (Her name is Willow, she is wanted for federal crimes in 12 states.)

I don't have an aesthetic queue because I would rather be writing. I only have time for a queue if I'm not writing, so I haven't had one in a while. I still use the tag if I find something particularly delicious I want on my archive.

Yes, I ship Stolitz in canon. But this is not direct canon so I'll write shippy things with anyone who wants to and I've clicked with. Even alternate Stolas portrayals--they're pretty birds, let them messy kiss.

The only canon characters I 100% refuse to ship Stolas with are Paimon and Octavia, for reasons I hope are obvious.
