Recently saw a bit about Eve of Ruin on Rascal and the thought that immediately popped into my head was "Norgorber is a vastly better God of Secrets."
(Curtain Call spoilers below the cut)
Like, look at him!
(Yes, I am stirring up trouble. Yes, you are allowed to like both or prefer one over the other.)
(Also, Tar-Baphon is a better lich)

And what does Tim think about Jon having been in a punk band in college.
After going through my college photos, I realized I'd actually seen that band! They weren't bad actually! Now I just wish Jon'd quit being such a stuffy pompous git and find it in his heart to do that look one more time... ... Or I might just show the pictures around. I'm sure Martin would love to see that~

The fact is that the minds of wizards can give thoughts a shape. Witches normally work with what actually exists in the world, but a wizard can, if he's good enough, put flesh on his imagination. This wouldn't cause any trouble if it wasn't for the fact that the little circle of candlelight loosely called "the universe of time and space" is adrift in something much more unpleasant and unpredictable.

Are we just going to sit around and ignore the fact that because the centaur has six limbs, it must be an insect?!?

"Bounced From Dance Hall, Lippy Leos Nicked $10," Windsor Star. April 20, 1943. Page 5.
----
TWO DETROIT YOUTHS FINED FOR CUSSING BLAME SUCKER PUNCH ON PUSS
----
By FRANCIS STEVENS
Two Detroit youths, both named Leo, who came to Windsor Saturday night to enjoy themselves at a dance. hall, had such a hectic time that they landed before Magistrate D. M. Brodie Monday on charges of disorderly conduct. They freely admitted having cursed and shouted and argued noisily with constables, but tried to persuade the magistrate their conduct was entirely justified.
WAS TWO OTHER GUYS
The trouble started when they were asked by the manager to leave the dance hall, said the two defendants, Leo Settapani and Leo Mattio Asta. They didn't know what for said the manager must have got them confused with "two other guys."
"For no reason at all," said Settapani, "I got a sucker punch in the mouth." "That's a new kind of a haymaker," said Magistrate Brodie, "will you please explain." "I wasn't doing nothing." replied the youth, "then some stranger puts his hand on my shoulder, turns me around and socks me."
He was asked to leave the hall and they gave him back his checks and he was escorted outside before he could find the girl he had brought with him from Detroit. He did his best to get back in for the purpose of finding the man who hit him and find his girl.
Instead, the police undertook to find the girl for him. "And they brought me out a little blonde I'd never seen before." said Settapani in disgusted a voice. "My girl's no blonde."
"I was swearing because I was in pain," he explained. "Did you ever have two of your front teeth knocked out, then you'd know what pain it is. All right, I was swearing. I was loud."
"All right, that's all we are charging you with," said Magistrate Brodie, quietly.
WOULD SHED BLOOD
The other Leo, Leo Mattio Asta, according to police testimony, had refused to leave the premises when requested and said dramatically, "I'll shed my blood before I leave here." But he left after persuasion without bloodshed - without anything but considerable profanity being spilled.
"He's got busted, in the mouth and the other fellow is allowed to stay," Asta told the court in an attempt to justify their conduct. After arriving outside on the sidewalk Asta said the constable told them to get going. but they didn't interpret that as a request to leave Windsor. So they walked around a little and then were arrested, he said.
In explanation of their delay in leaving the vicinity, Settapant said. it's like finding a penny in a haystack to find your way out of Windsor.
Magistrate Brodie fined them $10 and costs or 10 days in jail. They paid up and, a penny in a haystack. notwithstanding. had no trouble in finding their way out of Windsor.

Then it’s “Causing Trouble” by Dylan Birtolo. This one has a boy named Ari, who raises horses with his aunt and uncle. And he has one particular “horse” named Laya he apparently inherited from his late mother. And Laya is very much a prankster. Always causing trouble for that boy. But at the end she also exposes an evil Bard who was taking advantage of the village, and Ari figures his mom asked Laya to look after him.
I have two big problems with this one. The first is that, again, I HATE authors ignoring the mutual death thing between Heralds and Companions. And while technically it’s never confirmed that the mom was a Herald and Laya was her Companion… come on, it’s still pretty obvious.
Secondly… seriously dude, you had a story about a prankster horse and you didn’t title your story “Horsing Around”? Birtolo, I am disappoint.
