Fae Dick meeting Talon Dick. How do you think that would go?

Fae!Dick would take one look at Talon!Dick and know. Know he’s unnatural. Wrong. Not in the way fae!dick is wrong, but something… something isn’t right with him. Somehow there’s an air of nothing about him. Like the world tries to shrink away from talon!dick, like the absolute absence of natural life.

He knows this version of himself got twisted from something human to something that is human-adjacent only in the vaguest sense of the word.

And he doesn’t like it.

Talon!dick would have a similar epiphany, but more in a “this guy is dangerous” sense. Dangerous enough to be a threat to them all. To Jason.

And… well, we all know talon!dick doesn’t take kindly to that last part lol.

I think they’d end up attacking each other because they perceive the other as a THREAT (all in caps). And it would take Talon!Dick’s Jason to stop it and at least one of fae!dick’s family.

Concept:

Thanks to the power of the Chaos Emeralds, Super Silver is able to surround himself with rocks and debris to create a giant version of himself and essentially have a massive kaiju fight with the Big Bad™.

Ngl I kind of hate the headcanon of Sonic being able to use Chaos Powers like Shadow can. He's already very powerful and has his own set of abilities based on his speed, having the ability to do everything Shadow (One of the other most powerful character in the main cast) can as well would make him overpowered. Plus, it steals Shadow's most unique thing from him, and basically just makes him into a weaker version of Sonic ability-wise

answering that message actually helped me so much with sorting out a bunch of my own feelings about not feeling good enough, and remembering why I love art in the first place actually helped me get my current (and very first!) full time art job

I actually asked my current employers why they hired me specifically - because there are other VR artists out there much more technically skilled than me! - and their answer was that they just saw my passion... and that they liked and connected with my personal art. ;u;

anyways this is a long and rambling way to say thank you - and to say that disconnecting from envy and reconnecting with love for art really, really matters... even though it's incredibly difficult to do.

art is so hard to break into as a career, but one good thing about trying to do so is that there are soooo many ways to explore what an art career means to you personally!

the communities and friendships you gain from creating the art that's unique to YOU are far more lasting than whatever numbers games are going on in the social media world. I wish you MUCH LUCK on your journey, anon!!! you've got this 💖

okay super interesting element of the new green -> yellow -> red system is that it kind of engineers in some breathing room from conflict. usually a big characteristic of the life series is that they kick off mostly chill, tensions grow gradually, and then in the last two or three sessions it devolves into complete chaos and violence and then everybody’s out of the game. this time, it devolves into chaos and violence, and then evens out again before the final round, giving people time to recoup and regear and rebuild alliances. really interested in how this’ll affect the way everything pans out

Rare instance of posting one of the random characters I sometimes tag posts with- this is Cailo Suncatcher, a self-taught genius wizard with a vendetta against the gods who has never known fear. I originally made Cailo as a backstory character for my rogue in Curse of Strahd- I wanted to flesh out his life before exile by giving him more positive connections, and one of those was a precious little kid sister he loved with all his heart. Cailo took on a bit of a life of her own after I became interested in the decades that passed between Caina's exile and Strahd- eventually she became a character I really enjoyed having in oneshots as both a PC and NPC. The bitter memories of her childhood have made her an ambitious arcanist fascinated by the makeup of the world. She has a knack for getting herself tangled in deadly situations for curiosity or to prove a point in her strange theory of the meaning of life, but somehow she always escapes unharmed and never learns anything except how to put herself in stupid danger more effectively. She has a deep love of people in general, but her flighty personality and contempt for the norms and structures that most rely on for stability mean that she seldom makes deep, lasting connections.

Although she left home with the intention of finding her brother and unraveling the truth of the tragedy that hung over her home, she doesn't know what she'd do if she actually encountered him, and there's a prickling unease she feels sometimes when she considers that the truth might not be what she wants to believe. As much as she claims to be pursuing him, the fact is that she's in love with the journey and no longer wants to imagine the end.
