Since Mycology Qi’s unique fungi seems to be a Pilobolus—aka hat thrower/dung cannon fungus because they launch their sporangium (black tip of the fungus) at high speeds as a spore dispersal method—and they act sort of like assistants in her research, I think it would be funny to imagine them shooting spores at her teammates to keep them from disturbing her.

She wouldn’t even have to turn around or acknowledge them, Qi could just be focused on reviewing an experiment report before Frederick enters the lab tent to talk to her.

Frederick: “Miss Shiyi, I-”

*Pop pop pop SPLAT*

Frederick, still standing in the doorway with his face & uniform now splattered with spores: “…I’ll just come back later.”

Or one of the sporangium hits him in the eye and he screams in pain which only then gets Qi’s attention. Either way, he learns not to intrude while she’s working. Or at least wear eye protection upon entering just in case.

Hey loves,

I’ve been thinking about how to go about this, and after seeing the way everyone reacted—some of you believing me, some questioning me, and some even being genuinely happy for me—I decided that I should be honest. You all deserve some background because, the truth is, what I initially announced was not an April Fools’ prank.

Everything I said in my announcement was real. I was actually reached out to—anonymously at first—through email after they found my and my friend's Instagram. After several discussions and a creative test, I was given an opportunity [about 4 months of back and forth]. But within 24 hours of announcing it, things happened, and I had to drop out of a major role. That’s when I thought about turning this entire thing into an April Fools’ joke to cover it up and not let it go to waste... :( though I couldve just be like, "hey, I didn't get the job" and move on but I'm choosing to give insights. I even wrote a post revealing it as a prank, but then I saw how many of you still weren’t sure what to believe, how some of you were genuinely happy for me, and how my own friends, despite their confusion, continued to support me. That’s when I realized I couldn’t go through with pretending it was a joke when it wasn’t one in the first place. My own conscience wouldn’t let me.

I won’t go too much into detail here in Tumblr, but just know that I made the best decision for myself. This experience made me realize just how different things are behind the scenes. If I had gone ahead and posted the April Fools’ ‘reveal,’ would you have ever believed that the opportunity actually happened and I was just covering it up? Probably not. And that’s exactly how things work in the idol industry too—if you don’t know the background, you don’t know the background. People can feed you anything.

I’m also adding a screenshot of the initial post I wrote as a ‘prank reveal’ to show you what I originally intended to say. But one thing that remains true in my prank reveal post is, what happened with svthub members lol, guys, I'm sorry for not seeing the pings on time and just poofing. They didn’t force me, some were skeptical but—they were happy, excited, curious, but most importantly, they stayed by my side even while I was silent. And for that, I am grateful.

The sequence is zero-one-zero-zero-zero-zero-one-one, which is just the letter 'c' in binary. I've been thinking about him a lot, so it stands to reason that my unconscious would bring up his name. And! And, and, and, and, and, and, and... I've got a theory. About why he doesn't look human when I draw him. It's because he isn't. Maybe it's because he's something... [ah] something like a human, but my damaged brain doesn't process it correctly, and it just turns him into this... sssort of... thing.

Recording's still going? Excellent. I've been making an entry every day, taking about Cee every day, and it's deleted them! The computer this is [uh] attached to has some sort of [of ah] stupid filter installed that doesn't let me talk about certain topics, and it auto-deletes the files! Some of them just get cut out, but it seemed like it was picking up more and more stuff. It took me ages to boot it up, too. This thing is, without exaggeration, completely ancient. The model is from twenty-four-seventy-three! It's shocking it even turns on. It certainly screams like it's shocked. I turned off the filter, yeah, so now I can say whatever, but I can't access the old files. Even a little. Got no idea why anyone would ever install that.

Tim AU where he’s dead as hell

Tim Drake died at age 10 while chasing Batman. Tim Drake dies to a gunshot wound to the abdomen from a bullet gone astray (that goon can honestly die with him cause that was such a bitch move).

He wakes up at home, cold and alone. He blinks, confused. He doesn’t feel dead although he’s…cold. His camera is still hanging off his neck and the high ceilings of the Drake manor offer no explanation.

“Okay,” Tim says, “okay.”

He stands up, head dizzy and body aching. His abdomen in particular hurts quite a bit and when he pulled his shirt up, there was a circular shaped scar. It was rigid and a little red on the edges.

Tim, being a ten year old, simply shrugged and went about his day. He continued school even though the people around him ignored him. He still did his work and the confused look on his teachers face was always a little weird.

And after a week break, Tim leaves the house to stalk the bats again. He finds that when he hides in the shadows (he learned from watching the bats do this) he basically disappears. Like, literally disappears! It makes snapping these pictures so much easier!

Then, the day his parents return from their dig, Tim is very startled the weirdness of his parents. They’re sniffly and just barely holding it together. They keep ignoring Tim when he tries to ask what’s wrong too!!

And suddenly, when there’s a gala held in his own name and the whispers of condolences, does he realize what’s happing.

“Okay. I’m…dead,” he nods as he stares at his sobbing mother, “dead-dead.”

Tims eyes wander to Mr. Wayne and watches as the man frowns and tries to comfort his grieving mother. It’s a bitter sight.

Now, I’d assume that Tim is…a little numb. He accepts being dead weirdly well and just decides to live as normally as possible(he’s in denial). This time, he pretends he’s alive but he doesn’t actually interact with living beings and their world.

Okay, here’s a new thing

Because Tim is dead, he can wander Gotham with zero issues and thus, starts spying and listening in on rouges. He captures photos still(of course) and suddenly, he stumbles upon a big plan that would kill literally everyone. It’s set to happen in, let’s say, a year from when he finds out

Queue Tim finally deciding to do something that could actually help ppl. He prints the pictures he took(how? I’m not sure. He’s just built different I guess) and he starts leaving them in Batman’s, Nightwings, and Robins patrol routes.

One day, Tim just goes “fuck it” and shows up to the manor. He hides in the shadows and subconsciously allows himself to blend in with them. He’s nervous okay??

Dick is walking down the corridor, photograph in hand and Tim is just so excited! He’s also worried and stressed and dead which he totally forgot about. He scares the shit out of Dick which in turn scares the shit out of Tim and he scurries into the shadows again.

Later, Dick tells the others about the encounter

“Its eyes were glowing pure white!! With really sharp teeth and holy shit—“

“Language.”

“—and holy cow it was terrifying!!”

While Tim is a little sad that Dick(his Robin!!) called Tim, a 10(11?) year old, scary, it does spark a new idea.

Thus, Tim decides to play into the exaggerated narrative Dick had set in motion. The shadows like him and play along with his trickery. He leads the bats with glowing, blinking eyes and soft whispers.

And finally, three days before Gotham is to be exploded, Bruce figures it out and the Batfam save the day.

Happy ending! Yay!

Tim probably haunts them and because he’s been dead for so long (and as a child), he literally doesn’t know how to live anymore.

The bats have to coax him out of his cryptid, lurker like mindset and now they have 10(is he 11? 12? Maybe 15 now?) year old Tim Drake whose now permanently family.

chapter 2: lucky charm

Minji was never one to let people know about her feelings, not even Hanni, her best friend in the whole world, was aware of what the older girl thought about.

Kim Minji was an unsolved puzzle, even more than her fellow member, Haerin.

But the gremlin wouldn’t let her go, she made it her mission to understand her leader, even if it would take ages.

During their trainee days, Hanni watched Minji from afar. She was a bit scary, always wearing that serious expression – no one dared to approach the pretty girl, no one except Jang Y/N. 

That idiot was fearless and reckless, so no matter how many times the other trainees told her to stay away from Minji, she’d ignore them and go yap to her – and Minji didn’t mind listening to Y/N, nodding and smiling but never daring to interrupt the girl.

Even then, Hanni asked herself if love really changed people, because not once she had seen the scary girl smile so genuinely.

Since NewJeans had to attend the MAMA awards, the girls were staying in a hotel in LA. Of course Hanni and Minji ended up sharing the room, which meant that they had to go live and yap about whatever the gremlin had in mind.

It was a random live on Phoning, both girls were dressed casually, Minji wasn’t able to wear a tiny bit of makeup becuase Hanni rushed her, that’s why her eye bags were visible: due to the preparation for the performance she rarely slept – and now that she could, Hanni insisted on doing a live. Minji gave in, already planning an excuse to escape.

Time passed rather quickly and to Minji’s surprise, Bunnies didn’t point out her obvious tired expression; they read the usual comments about how pretty they looked, if they had eaten (they always do). Things seemed to go well until Hanni read a comment that caught her attention – “Is that Y/N from aespa?”.

Hanni smiled happily, waving at the camera and greeting her friend who she thought was watching the live, but got confused when Minji looked through the comments as if searching for the culprit to a murder – her jaw was tense, her eyes narrowed. That question changed the entire vibe.

“They mean the photos, Hanni.” Minji spoke in a monotone, serious tone. Finally breaking the awkward silence, but unknowingly worsening the situation – “I wonder how they noticed, you guys must have the vision of an eagle” Joked the older girl, leaving Hanni more confused than before. She slapped Minji’s shoulder, already done with her cryptid words, “Uhm… excuse me, but I’m here too”.

Hanni wasn’t acknowledged and watched as her roommate walked up to the messy table behind them and retrieved a piece of paper from her bag, the same that was poking from it when they arrived.

It was a familiar sight to Hanni, Minji brought the photostrip with her like it was a lucky charm – this was the first time she gave the photos a closer look: that was indeed Jang Y/N.

“Yes, it’s her, we’re childhood friends” Minji showed the pictures on camera, making the chat go crazy over the surprising interaction. “You never told me that” Hanni retorted, slightly annoyed at her best friend for not sharing something so important. “I thought we were best friends?” the gremlin asked with an exaggerated sad expression and jutting out her lower lips – “You never asked— And stop making that face” another slap on the arm from Hanni, who muttered an insult under her breath.

007n7, I think, would have been a neutral during the war. He might have also been a former decepticon, having defected from the faction after witnessing Shockwave's eh...less than savory experementations. He and C00lkidd would probably be traveling from neutral settlement to neutral settlement by the time he ends up captured by the autobots.

C00lkidd I think would be a Predacon sparkling that Shockwave was planning to use as a frontliner against thr autobots. He's unnaturally tiny for a Predacon sparkling, but thats because 007n7 stole him out of his test tube before he was ready.

007n7 would be a flight frame, I think. Not another Starscream clone, but indeed another jet. He can probably go ridiculously fast, but burns his energon quickly due to it. He's probably starving since he keeps giving his energon rations to C00lkidd whenever they're stopped at a neutral settlement.

Hmm...

I think the other survivors would mostly be autobots, with exceptions for Two Time. They came from a neutral faction that worshipped Unicron and not Spawn, probably.

Guest 1337 would totally be a frontliner mech, probably like Ironhide but even more softer when off the field.

Elliot is still a former delivery mech, but with some medical background, probably from dropping out of college before he could graduate. I think he'd work under Ratchet alongside First Aid. He's ine of the most reluctant mechs to treat 007n7, probably because 007n7 was focusing fire on medics when he was a Decepticon. I think Elliot would take that hatred to his grave, especially if he saw other medics die infront of him at the hands of 007n7.

Chance, would have probably been a lower caste mech that made it to the top somehow. He owned a casino with ITrapped before the war started, and iTrapped promptly joined the Decepticons when he had the chance. (Get it) Anyways, he ended up joining the autobots purely to spite iTrapped, not because he cared much for thr war.

I dunno much about Noob but I think they'd be a minibot, and probably would help gather intel from the Decepticons.

Shedletsky oohh.. I dunno about him, actually. Maybe he was a former Seeker, probably one of the fastest seekers known. He won 128 medals in the SFOTH (Seeker Flights on The Hights) Arena before he was crippled due to an incident. Now he lives alongside Builderman, who probably is working on making Shed some prosthetics so he could fly again.

Builderman is an engineer who lives in a shitty shack on the edge of Iacon, just beside the highway that leads to Kaon. He's lower caste and fixes shit for cheap, just because its what he's good at and he enjoys helping the community.

Taph still tears down buildings and shit, also a former flight frame, hes now an escaped empurta victim who lives in the same area as Builderman. He scavenges energon from the gifts left out by the locals who think that he's a cryptid and want to get on his good side. Sometimes he hangs out with Builderman, as he's the only mech who has any hope of repairing him if he's broken.

I dont know about the Killers yet, I may write about them later :3

the foxes : random headcanons (because i need to let it all out somewhere)

• Renee & Matt are both huge fans of atla and the pjo series. Dan likes it as well but not as much as they do. They also tried to convince Allison to watch it with them and despite saying it’s “not her thing” she really likes it.

• Renee keeps her own garden. Mostly plants and flowers though. She tries for some veggies as well but they never grow right

• At some point, Andrew would stop smoking completely. The withdrawals are crazy and he’s cranky as hell through the whole thing but yeah.

• Renee would definitely love visiting churches and cathedrals in different countries. Not only cuz she’s religious but also because she loves the architecture and art a lot.

• also also Renee would keep the coolest looking patterned stuff. Fox shaped & cat paw carved ceramic mugs, knitted sweaters with a lot of patchworks and so on.

• Renee taught Neil ASL. For no particular reason just that it’s a good thing to know. After that she also tried teaching some of the other foxes but mostly just the basics.

• Kind of surprise to everyone, Aaron would be really good at chess. Neil and Matt on the other hand… very much not. He sometimes has chess matches with Kevin but Kev always loses which genuinely drives him mad.

• Aaron knows latin- not just the medical terms that med students have to know but like the language. So you bet that whenever someone gets him angry he starts to yap at them in latin just to make a point of some sort.

• Andrew would like those old/retro gameboys

• Andrew always beats everyone in mario kart with Nicky often being either close second or complete last - no in between.

• Nicky is the #1 pancake maker. He was kind of awful at it at first but after many many tries he perfected it for the twins

• Kev is also the #1 cook in healthy but completely flavourless prison-looking meals (though it is not his fault. i blame the nest.)

• if the foxes would ever have escape room night best believe Neil would be the first to figure it out and in record time as well.

• Kevin is a mosquito magnet and won’t stop complaining about it…like ever. (had to google synonym for bitching btw)

• to fight off the “eboy Andrew” allegations im fighting back with “absolute loser Andrew” where he wears too big sweaters, reading glasses, has crooked teeth, and searches through different cryptid or internet mysteries- related sites for too long (…projecting but still)

• Neil hates coffee. his favorite tea is peppermint or earl grey.

• the monsters watch cartoons in the morning if they don’t have classes i said what i said

• Neil definitely got into photography (or sketching or both) at some point. there is just something so symbolic about that i just can’t wire up my brain rn to figure out why.

• Kevin listens to podcasts instead of music while working out because he is simply that type. sigh

All I do is think about my trigun au that still needs a name- (someone name it for me)

Anyways Vash yapping time because I'm sure you guys wanna know how our favorite gunslinger is doing in this au.

Ironically enough, he's the less stable between him and Knives for very understandable reasons. When the crash happened, Vash had found Knives just as he was setting to coordinates to crash the S.E.E.D.S ships. Managing to talk Knives out of hitting the button only for turbulence (or an error, haven't decided yet) to set the course anyways. The two of them going to find Rem together for help but it was already too late.

The two of them got put into the escape pod and while Vash was in shock because they just lost Rem, Knives was getting them to safety by piloting. However upon entering the atmosphere, the escape pod started breaking and Vash got ejected.

Of course he was the lucky one because well, Knives ended up losing a leg because of the escape pod malfunctioning. Something which Vash indirectly caused trying to help Knives out (Tried too lift what Knives' was stuck under with something but what he used broke and the shrapnel severed Knives' leg)

So in the span of basically 2 hours, Vash lost his mom, their family on the S.E.E.D.S ship, and disabled his brother trying to help him. To say he had a mental break would be an understatement.

As Knives mentally checked out and went basically catatonic, Vash veered the other direction and went basically feral. By the time they were found, Vash was snapping at people and wouldn't let people near Knives, acting more like an animal than anything. Vash spent the first few years on Ship 3 with separation anxiety.

Thank God he grew out of this... but even as years went by, Vash has been the more defensive one of them. While he won't outright kill someone (still a pacifist through and through) and is VERY squeamish with blood, seeing Knives hurt or scared sets him off. He won't kill but damn he will maul someone for his brother and won't leave Knives' side till they both settle down.

Other than THAT he's basically the same Vash as ever. Still the friendly, chatty, dramatic fun one. He's just extra jumpy and quick to get between his brother and danger. Always intervening if his twin is uncomfortable and putting attention on himself. He's high key overcompensating with his doting as a coping mechanism

Vash has also, thanks to Knives, embrace his plant features more. He lets himself have sharp teeth and pointy ears, he doesn't hide his more inhuman features, in fact it's Knives' that makes sure he does. Vash also hasn't gotten over his more feral habits fully so, chittering, hissing, and other small noises can just he heard from him passively. Consider him the local cryptid

Vash is the weird one between them but still his goofy self. Gives him a little kiss

My contribution to the gravity falls nation:

Werewolf Stanley and Vampire Fiddleford but make it Mystery Trio with third wheel Phantom Ford.

I started yapping so I put a cut ‘0-0

And before anyone’s like: Why wouldn’t Ford be a werewolf too?? Because I had the idea that the whole them being cryptids thing is due to the portal, stay with me here,

These three have been in the closest proximity to the portal and, over time, it began having effects on them. However, the kicker was when the fords tested it for the first time. Lee was never informed of the portal for fear of putting him in unnecessary danger which leads to a very dramatic betrayal of trust n shit later.

Anyway, instead of Fidds getting sucked into the portal, it released a wave of weirdness radiation that only really affected the knuckleheads in the same building as it, turning them into creatures Monster falls style.

the reason the trio haven’t done anything to try to fix it is because the wave also affected their memories. Due to the nature of the portal in cannon and it’s properties as an internal dimensional gateway it’s safe to assume that it’s connected to the other aus this fandom has come up with in some way.

What the radiation did was alter their minds and bodies to basically duplicate which ever universe’s dimensional barrier was thinnest, in this case the vamp Fidds and wolf Lee au. This led to the trio gaining memories of ‘them’ growing up as these creatures so none of them questioned it.

what nobody could count on was that fiddleford’s memory gun, with many uses, could scratch away at the fake memories and unrepress their actual ones.
