dead serious #2
idea that league of Assassins has connections and deals with the ghost Zone/ infinite realms. Ellie gets destabilized and Danny needs help; he ends up going to frostbite and Clockwork. They tell him about the deals that a lot of the ghost Zone has with league of assassins. He panics because of the Assassins but they make it very clear that they can help. Danny is about 14 And Damien is turning 13.( I know Damien is supposed to be with his dad at this point but just go with it)
Ellie ends up the de Aged and Danny uses an artificial womb thing that Talia uses for Damien. Danny and Damien become friends during this time due to Talia and Ras wanting Damian to have good connections with the infinite realms.
There's an attack on the league that ends up with Damien getting very hurt in the lab that has Ellie, it affects something and Damien's DNA ends up helping Ellie grow. The DNA helps stabilize her but it also gives her another donor. Damian leaves to train with his father not long after the incident  but he does know there is a chance that she is technically now his kid though it is never confirmed while he is there.
I'm just imagining Damien knows weirdly niche things due to Danny and the bat family is wondering why he knows things like obscure memes or has opinions on fast food.
The bat family has to interact with the League of Assassins and Damien asks his mother how Danny and Ellie are and if the accident caused problems with development. Talia then reveals that his DNA did end up integrating with Ellie and that technically he is the father. He asks if she can get them in contact and he end up able to. When This entire thing happens All the family is fighting for their life and they're in a separate area so no one knows what this conversation is.
They get into contact and end up meeting up when Damian is on a mission outside of Gotham. Damien leaves Gotham to meet up with them constantly and that pings on his family's radar. They follow him thinking he's taking down some sort of group without backup or he is contacting the league. What they find is not what they expect.
They Find is Damien talking with Danny cuddling under a tree while Ellie plays with Cujo. They don't realize Ellie is with them at first until Danny calls her over for lunch and she calls Danny and Damian mom and dad. They then proceed to question when Damien became a teen dad.

Soooo this is what I think would happen if Damien ended up meeting Gregor instead of Bob—
TWS FOR MURDER, TRAUMA, INSANITY, MEDICATION, MENTAL FACILITIES, ETC
I imagine maybe since he gets arrested around the time Bob does though, there's a chance that there's spirits from the people he's killed attached to them. And the police probably start seeing those spirits, so they call in Gregor to do something. Gregor ends up mainly sensing the spirits around Damiens cell though, so the two of them end up talking, and Damien basically admits that it might be those he killed. He nervously tries to justify killing them by stating all the reasons he did so, but that doesn't change the fact that they're still attached to him. So Gregor basically calls him out on lying to themself about literally murdering people, and tells him that the only way he can make things right is to never kill again, change and apologize. Damien is a bit nervous about this, but seems to find it understandable and it get kinda actually does get through to him that he still murdered people regardless of what they did or not.
Unsure of how Damien would even meet Gregor. Perhaps they'd end up not serving that long of a time in prison surprisingly due to something, and would be let free early. And he'd actually kind of regret killing people since though he's defintely not stable, they've thought about what he's done and want to maybe get help for it. But for the sake of them being there when Gregors actually alive, maybe Damien doesn't get caught for murder in this AU, or he does but is let out surprisingly early.
(Damien is kind of friends with Bob here still, but they aren't that close and Bob only gets the cult to let him out so he has backup to kill all the people he needs to. They're more like actual partners in crime here. But Damien doesn't think that murder is actually love, and is very distressed the whole time since he doesn't think the kids deserve to be killed. He doesn't get knocked out here, but he is arrested by the other police who come onto the scene and dragged back to prison in a panicked state.)
Damien obviously still doesn't like most of the people they killed because of what they did, but he's not apologizing because they were in the right all along (considering most of them were toxic or abusive or horrible people in general etc etc)—he's just apologizing because it's wrong to take a human life. Gregor makes him verbally apologize aloud to those he killed, especially that one girl who they just killed because she was rude (which is the only one he actually feels bad about killing alongside the people he was made to help kill in TT). His apology seems to satisfy Gregor, who cleanses the place afterward, but he's not done with Damien yet. Gregor decides he wants to actually help Damien out even with how unstable they seem because he feels as if he owes it to those Damien killed. So Gregor begins to visit the prison frequently to both check on Damien, give him advice and activities, etc etc.
In the few weeks Gregor is around Damien though, Gregor starts to feel mild pity for Damien since Damien actually explains to him some of his past, but Gregor grows even more concerned upon hearing about his own misconception of love. So Gregor gives Damien a whole speech about how none of what he went through was their fault like everyone around them made them think it was, and that Damien was in dire need of help but never received it. And he also tells him that none of what happened to him was love at all. Gregor starts to see Damien as an incredibly broken man driven to sin by all the horrible sins that were used against them, while Damien only breaks down upon being told a bunch of things no one ever thought to tell them ever.
Gregor feels an incredible amount of pity for the man now, and starts giving him more things to do anytime he comes to visit. Damien starts to be a little more used to him and be grateful to him after a while even if it's still hard for him to still get why any of what happened to him was bad. Gregor promises that maybe once Damien is eventually freed, he'll let him join the church to seek guidance from 'The Lord'. He may also be kinda converting Damien to the church in the process. But before anything can happen, Gregor goes missing due to you know what in Hollow Sorrows, and the last thing Damien ever received from him before he vanished was a cross necklace. Damien is told about Gregor apparently being missing, and is obviously distressed about it. The police station kinda dismisses his worries, and says they'll be sending him to an actual mental facility where he can get help. Though Damien protests, they send him there anyway.
Damien is in a mental facility until Sweet Scents. Anf the facility itself is okay, but it's still taking Damien a while to entirely heal. However, he's not on his meds when the cult suddenly breaks into their room during the night, and basically tells him that they're gonna make him go out and kill people to finish Bob's job. Damien doesn't want to, but the cult makes him anyway, so he reluctantly goes after everyone including the kids and Lila and everyone else Bob went after etc etc. However, during the final conflict, Damien is visibly distressed still and is having a whole breakdown due to his panic. But he ends up getting shot. Damien does live from it, but he's dragged back to the mental facility where he explains what happened. The facility doesn't believe him though and just gives him meds since they think Damiens delusions were acting up again. This calms Damien down, but he is still charged for attempted murder.

May I, learn some cool facts about the Genderfluid AU.
-In the beginning, Ash tried to use Miho to identify with his female part, essentially going 'under cover' bt ultimately decides to shed the name in the end and stick with Ash
-Pikachu is Nonbinary and thus has a rounded Tail
-James is Genderfluid, Jessie is Bisexual, Meowth identifies as Queer given that he doesnt know the full extent of his sexuality but he is firmly Cis
-Giovanni and Damien are still brothers, though Damien was in a coma for a short time due to an accident at a digsite and Giovanni didnt think to tell his brother's wife that he was under hospice care.
- because of the above, Giovanni and Delia have a very frigid relationship
-Giovanni is Ash's uncle and Ash exploits that greatly.
- While normally enemies on a day to day, when Pride day comes around, Ash and the Rocket trio are really close friends.
-Misty is Transgender but doesnt tell Brock or Ash for awhile. Ash finds out on the Orange Islands with Tracey -nonbinary- after a hard day. (M7sty also finds out Ash is Genderfluid)
-Ash and Misty dunk on Misty's sisters when Ash teaches Misty all that he learned from the Rocket Trio and vice versa with everything Misty learned from her sisters.
-Brock is Bisexual, but his fear of being called slurs mostly has him hitting on adult women even though it's not really for him. Its a strategy for him to avoid being called Gay.
-Ash feared coming out to his mother and had already planned a backup on the offchance that she rejected him (She didnt)
-Ash wears 3 bands on his wrist that he switches over deoending on how he's feeling. Blue on his right for Boy, Purple on his right for Girl, Green on his right for They, or all three if he doesnt care. As time goes on and he starts to feel more at ease, the number of bands on his right wrist vary.
-Lt. Surge is a Gay Army man who had a thing for Giovanni a while back.
-Giovanni is also Gay, but refuses to be in a relationship due to his profession.
-The first Pride of Kanto, which coincided a week before the Indigo league, had Ash/Miho running the Moltres Torch because the original runner was homophobic and planned to sequester the flames.

17x09-Stars and Stripes
caution: spoilers below, mentions of rape
I feel for Jade
She's clearly spiraling without Damien
The flashback and conversation they had in 17x08
She's being pulled over, that's not good for the guy trying to talk to her
Wendy Quinn but the patrol officer is not fooled cause of the photo
Enter
You sent
Jade taunting him means she's getting away with it
Shit, Dana is here
Not so subtle considering a black car passing by when it turns out that Dana is in the car
Jade and Dana don't care that the guy has a family
Jade taking the guy's eyes out
Now back to Elias and Vincent visiting him
Elias knew that Jade killed Damien and that the BAU prevented their plans to kidnap and kill Jill
Elias also knows Vincent is under surveillance
I like how Elias always knows everything
Vincent wants Rebecca off the case but Elias says no
They discuss their court hearing and reduced sentence and Elias is determined to be out in five
Rossi comforting Jill after what happened but he's still disapproving Jill's decision to use the kiss as a distraction for him to leave so she can talk to Damien alone. Can't blame him as Jill could've gotten herself killed
Damien and Jade agreeing to a mercy kill
A reference to of Mice and Men
Even with Damien gone, Jade still has backup like Dana and Peter B
Peter B a sign of foreshadowing
Emily calling Rossi over
Rebecca telling them that Director Madison is honoring Elias' please agreement. I too would be pissed considering how smart and dangerous he is
Emily and Rossi are rightfully pissed
Tyler trying to find proof of Elias' crimes
Luke in Garcia's office
Another Reid mention
Garcia is able to find connections to all 11 stuart house doctors and sheriff deputies cause they were paid through an encrypted routing number
Also AIDA reminds me of Agents of Shield
The contract was voided due to criminal misconduct and profiteering. Yea this part is giving me ideas
Frank Church being the ceo of AIDA Limited
Something tells me that AIDA Limited could be the next major antagonists in s18
He’s finally been mentioned
The charges against Church were dropped but he still has friends in high places. He's gonna be difficult to be stopped let alone in two episodes
And we got a photo of him
Church and AIDA are also known around the globe for their security expertise
Which also means they're mercenaries
I swear the ideas we'll get from this scene alone for my fics
Like like what if someone with a particular skill set has an assignment relating to AIDA Limited..
Between Reid and Matt, one of them has military experience
Shit, Garcia and Luke are struggling to find proof that AIDA Limited funded the strike team before being interrupted by an alert of the guy Jade and Dana killed
The guys named is Martin Sanz
Martin is alive but his eyes are gone and Jade threatens him to talk to the BAU only
It’s interesting the guy only wants to talk to the BAU
Emily getting Tyler to look up Frank church
Tara sees it as Jade wanting the team to know her pain for Damien's death and for reinforcing the conspiracy about Stuart House
Emily getting Tyler to look up Frank Church. I'm afraid this won't go well
Back to Jade and Dana
Dana trusting Elias only cause Damien does
Jade finding a bunker and storage container unit
Oh shit, Elias giving Jade and Dana profiles on the BAU and a majority of the cases they worked on and unsubs they stopped and killed
Reminds me of the replicator
Elias knows a lot about the team and the team doesn't know how much and to make things worse, Elias is definitely fueling Dana and Jade and trying to weaken the BAU so that they can take care of them while Elias himself can go free
It’s interesting how Elias is able to do that
Idk why Hasting's photo is on Luke's section when JJ's photo is on the other board. Oh and Jeremy Grant's photo is on JJ's section as well wtf. How do you fuck up a mistake like that?
Frank Church has friends in high places. It has to be the one who took photos of Emily and Brian
Now Jade and Dana know who the BAU are and are at the end of the conspiracy
They used actual photos of AJ for this
Imagine what kind of photos they'd use for other cm characters
I wonder if Frank is responsible for this cause friends in high places could also mean he could have friends in the bureau
Jade using these boards to her advantages
Dana reminding Jade that they have each other and Peter
Dana saying to go home
The zoom up of Emily and Rossi is not good
Martin telling Rossi and Tara that Jade was with Dana, who shot him
Martin telling Rossi to kill Jade and Dana
Jade saying she had no choice but she wants to go and home and find peace but will not hesitate to stop and kill anyone who tries to find them
Jill thinking the strike team was being sent on purpose to test the gold star subjects if they can distinguish between friend and foe
With Tara saying how they were most likely gaslit into thinking everyone was an enemy but Stuart House
Luke and JJ telling Rossi they found a kill kit
It’s sad how they were manipulated so much
They realized Elias helped Damien and Jade by giving them the kill kit
Jade and Dana left a trap knowing that troopers would find them
The team finding the boards
JJ looking the most terrified, can't blame her
Elias definitely had his network do the research for him which means someone from the bureau is a part of the network and conspiracy
Rossi calling Elias a mother fucked and angry that he's endangering his teammates
Vincent telling Rossi to calm down, shut up
This confrontation won't go well considering that Vincent is present
I didn't even notice Elias was in a fancy suit and not a jumpsuit
Elias trying to claim that Benjamin is still Sicarius
The BAU trying to procedure Elias as Lee Duval backfiring on them
Elias saying Toodles and Rossi being rightfully pissed
Tyler and Emily seeing Frank
Vincent is so annoying and smug
He's not going to be so smug once Elias no longer needs his help
Frank Church mentioning Emily's mugshot. I already hate him
Emily saying Tyler is from military intelligence
Emily and Tyler interrogating Frank
Frank knowing fully aware that Emily is profiling him
He's even more smug and worse than Elias, Vincent and Bryan
Frank mentioning Brian
Not Frank being concerned with law enforcement
Not Frank Church accusing Emily of assaulting Brian whom he most likely hired men to beat up and frame Emily for
Oh this guy is so sexist
Oh this piece of shit did not just rubbed Bailey's death onto Emily
Women are you fucking kidding me?
Ugh, not Rebecca interrupting them and telling Emily that the Director wants them to stop
Emily and Tyler thinking Director Madison is under Frank's pocket
Does Frank know Madison?
So Madison is not compromised
Really Rebecca? Protecting the BAU? Even Emily doesn't believe that
So far the only good thing he did was reinstate Emily as unit chief
Bailey mention
So Bailey told Madison about Gideon and Rossi's paper weeks before Elias mentioned Gold Star to him
If anything Bailey was the one protecting the BAU more than Madison
I feel like had Clark been available for more of the filming, we would've gotten more of Madison trying to be helpful
So someone else leaked gold star and the white paper ?
So Madison showed Rebecca Bailey's report
But who?
Reporter?
I feel like Madison is using Rebecca a lot since he doesn’t want to face them
That’s very possible it was a reporter
Okay, Rebecca has a point
They risk bringing the Bureau down if they mess up their attempts at stopping Frank
Where's Jack Ryan when you need him?
The BAU and Jill discussing Frank Church while eating
I really need Matt so back so badly
Frank Church does scream cult leader
You sent
So many military guys
Seeing this is giving me ideas for fics after seeing AIDA Limited
Frank telling Jade welcome home
Ewww. Jade and Dana looked disgusted and uncomfortable hugging Frank
Seeing Frank being concerned and trying to be father like to Jade and Dana is gross
Maybe a part of them realize something is wrong with Frank but the brainwashing is too deep
Jade telling Frank that Damien and Aidan are dead cause of the BAU and Peter is nowhere to be found
Frank planned this whole shit
Seeing Frank being concerned and trying to be father like to Jade and Dana is gross
It felt so weird and you can see the girls see it too but are in too deep
Frank wanting to talk to Dana about Peter
By the time they realized something is wrong, it'll be too late
I wonder if Peter is connected to Bailey
Frank killed Dana, not surprised
Oh no, not the gold star program
This scene makes me feel disgusted
Frank comparing Mila to Jade
Same here. It’s creepy how it’s a lot of young girls too
"Free these young people" bitch, you're brainwashing them and turning them into killers
His fascination of young girls and hate over women in power positions like Emily pretty much sums up his views on women. And his views on poc and lgbtq people wouldn't be any better
Frank is drilling this “conspiracy” into them. Not helped they see Frank as a father figure
He's a disgusting piece of shit
Frank manipulating Jade. I worry for Jade, can't believe I'm saying that
Frank giving up the original training site
Jade remembering what she went through
He screams Republican Senator who does shady shit
It wouldn't surprise me if he has some conservative political friends
And far right allies
So Mila's been missing for 8 months cause she's actually in AIDA Limited
The deputies were paid off by Stuart House, who track runaway teens
So did Frank abduct Mila?
Jade and Mila bonding
They deputy was paid to kill her
Mila looking up to Jade, I have a bad feeling about this
Jade telling Mila she has nightmares
They tell stories about jade and the others
You can see how vulnerable jade is
Memories of an awful place?
Jade realizing not everything is as it seems and it's a bad feeling
Frank being a rapist
Oh my god no no no no
I’m now worried about Jade
I feel sick
Fuck fuck fuck fuck
Just when Frank can't get any worse, he does and my hatred of humor grows stronger
Jade remembering her last moments with Damien
But since he’s introduced now he’ll probably be in s18
This guy needs to fucking die
He needs to suffer
He makes Elias look tame in comparison. At least Elias isn't a fucking rapist
Damien not having any nightmares when he’s with Jade
Also this means that Frank only raped the girls
Damien telling Jade how everything frank told him might he a lie
It sums up how he views women
It wouldn't surprise me if Frank considers Holly a next target
If Elias kills Frank in s18, I wouldn't be mad
That would be satisfying
And Elias would make sure Frank suffers
If Elias doesn't get to kill Frank, I want either the BAU ladies doing that
Jade seeing Mila get taken away before being tasered by someone, possibly Frank
Rebecca telling the team that the judge approves of the search warrant for the training center but knowing the synopsis, they might be too late and something bad happens
Sadly no one is there to save Jade, I'm fucking pissed
If only they got the warrant quicker
Jade deserved better. I wished someone could save her. Or maybe she saves herself
Tyler warning the team that the people running the training center are combat ready, and we know there's a lot of military guys at the training programs and AIDA Limited
You wanna hope the team aren't too late to save Jade
Emily letting Tyler join the team in the takedown
Luke patting Tyler on the arm
Not Rossi also bringing Jill to the takedown
Jill it's not your fault, it's Frank's fault
Ewwwww
Oh not this again with Jill and Rossi
I DID NOT WANT THAT
No no no no
I do not want to see this scene
what the fuck
Considering Frank's obsession with young girls and Matt being protective of his daughters, especially as he mentions a hostage victim being the same age as his twin girls in 1x06 of cmbb, just imagine if Matt found out what Frank does to girls like Jade and Mila
Frank telling Jade she was his favorite makes me feel disgusted
Jade killing her captors
And arming herself
The team are all at AIDA Limited
I wonder if the team will get to Jade in time
Jade is trying to escape and the team is there
We don't know but I have a bad feeling that something is gonna happen
The guy refusing to let the BAU in and they're calling backup
Especially as she’s arming herself too
This will be bloody especially as Frank knows they're there
Imagine Matt there
Frank planning on using Mila
Jade trying to help Mila escape and she knows Mila and the others are in danger
Jade giving Mila a gun, this is not gonna go well
"Don't let anyone stop you" I have a bad feeling about this
Rebecca telling Emily not to escalate the situation, not helped that Tara is with them
Rebecca and Garcia being concerned for the team
Yea her determination is too strong for her which makes her impulsive and reckless
Don't leave Emily and Rossi alone
I like how Tara pointed out how it sounds familiar with the FBI standing off against a armed cult
Jade, Mila and the others all escaped
But will they all make it out? Now that Frank found out, not everyone will
Oh thank god the kids escaped. But oh no everyone is armed, Rossi and Emily are coming in
I like how Tara pointed out how it sounds familiar with the FBI standing…
Callbacks to minimal loss
Shit, Frank has a gun
Tara and JJ found them?
Wtf Emily? Don't get yourself and the team killed
I’m confused. Did JJ and Tara find them?
Is that swat following them?
lol Emily defying Rebecca and Garcia
Shit
And I don't know what Jade is doing
Mila and the others are out but not Jade
I can't watch
No Jade
Nooooo
Jade saying "save the children"
She had to save herself and sacrifice herself to get those kids away
My heart is broken
I don’t like this at all. I want a better ending for Jade
I'm so pissed
Her love for Damien is strong
It really is. Also makes sense why she’s doing this since she and Damien don’t want to be stuck in a cage
This is more tragic than minimal loss
I'm a fucking wreck
Jade deserved better

BNHA X DP Crossover HCs
After the long wait and finals, here are my ideas for all the quirks/occupations and other concepts I devised for the DP characters in the BNHA universe. This was just for fun and for inspiration towards others interested in this crossover au in general.
Tagging the people that were looking forward to this post based on the replies: @qoinq-qhost, @floralflowerpower, @tgfangirl4eva @goodfish-bowl, @whitehairglowinggreeneyedcrush and more.
Anyways, happy reading, folks!
Mr. Lancer
Hero name: Mr. Scholastic
Quirk: Bookworm
Involves his iconic usage of literature titles & quotes for swears to become abilities corresponding to the novel’s contents/themes. Course, he is limited to only books he has read and can quote accurately. Additionally, his voice gets very raspy past two or three quotes as well.
Occupation: Homeroom Teacher for Class 1- A; He’s very dedicated to his new students and teaching the fundamentals of being a pro hero and more! Course, I don’t think his chamomile tea with a wedge of lemon is enough to help him relax from his students (*cough* Danny, Tucker and Poindexter) from their antics at times.
Danny
Hero name: Phantom
Quirk: Ghost core (Ok, @coffeecakecafe had the best name for this one gotta give credit here)
Able to do anything a ghost is perceived to do. Go through walls, disappear and fly. This is a one of a kind quirk as it was obtained from Danny’s old quirk being altered by a machine his parents made that would repurpose/alter an individual’s quirk based on their past family members' own metahuman genetics.
Danny is doing his best and trying to understand his new quirk without causing too much attention to himself while doing so but it seems like its been doing the opposite as of late. Thankfully, he won’t be doing it alone with all his classmates around to help him!
Sam
Hero Name: Black Dahlia
Quirk: Overgrown
Able to create any plant that she knows the biological makeup and content of in almost any environment. However, it is important for her to drink lots of nutrient rich water and take in enough sun if she plans to create larger versions of these plants.
Tucker
Hero name: Tech Master
Quirk: Tech Core
Located on his chest/heart area is a special energy core capable of powering electronics at a rate faster than anything made-man could ever hope to achieve. As a kid, Tucker would tinker away in his family’s garage on a suit that would harness his power to the fullest extent and lead a new era of support tech in the hero world.
Valerie
Hero name: Red Huntress
Quirk: Electromagnetism (Someone I’ve been trying to find their post on my blog had posted this idea and I fell in love with it ever since)
She’s like Static Shock but with a dash of magenta/ruby lasers she can create through focusing her electromagnetism through her finger tips. She is an expert with her quirk and has the best handle of her quirk than most of her peers. She is the most frequent visitor in the support equipment workshop next to Tucker, Poindexter and Danny. It’s how she built the hoverboard she has in the show that utilizes her electromagnetic abilities for both offensive and defensive maneuvers. (Also, I enjoy the idea that Bullet is Val’s uncle on her mom’s side and is her biggest supporter alongside her dad, Damien Gray).
Jazz
Quirk: Serenity
Helps calm individuals and give them a sense of safety/security when they’re around her in a 10 feet radius. Though, anyone out of range cannot be affected by her quirk and she needs to be conscious in order to use it.
She planned on becoming a pro hero but felt her powers were best suited for her dream profession as a psychologist. She has used her quirk a lot when Danny was overwhelmed with his studies prior to UA. Course, a phone call and sibling chat over the phone certainly does the job for Danny now when it comes to preparing material for exams. (Course, its up to you guys to decide)
Dash
Hero name: Rager
Quirk: Strength Magnification
Improves his physique and stamina by a large percentage for a set amount of time. Needs to be careful of how much/long he magnifies his body or else his body will become immensely sore.
Kwan
Hero name: Rallier
Quirk: Team Rally (50/50)
Able to duplicate himself 3-4 times while being able to power-up allies’ quirks or stamina with a rally chant to help the team. The more duplicates there are the rally effect multiplies/stacks on the individual but it can lead to dangerous outcomes for their quirk output.
Kwan is the class representative for 1-A, he’s the best at the job and was more than thrilled to be the one leading his class in more ways than one.
Paulina
Hero name: Enchantress
Quirk: Charm
If the opponent is flustered by her taunts or flirting, their vision will become altered and start seeing things that are not there. It works better on men than women and the opponent can snap out of it with enough willpower or if they’re not interested in her.
Star
Hero name: Ms. Meteorite
Quirk: Comet
Similar to Gran Torino’s Jet quirk except faster and she can create an explosive impact on where she lands. Similar to a meteorite landing on earth, she also learns to use this as a long distance move by punching fast enough as she descends to create wind pressure punches.
Poindexter
Hero name: Tex (like in Tex Avery; Danny gave him the idea!)
Quirk: Slapstick
His appearance is black and white just like an old timey cartoon character as well as having the durability and cartoon powers of one. However, his quirk can only work as long as what he does with it is funny in the circumstance it’s used for. Sort of like “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” rules in a sense.
Sidney is part of Class 1-A just saying, I don’t care, this is Poindexter’s time to shine here to be the coolest/funniest person in the class. Also, Tucker’s most loyal friend/tester for new support items.
Wes Weston
Hero name: Vigilance
Quirk: Deduction
He is able to deduct people’s identities to flaws/weak points for him to use against them and  exploit against problems.
Class 1-B Representative and the most annoying/terrifying person that Danny has dealt with in his life. He was able to figure out that Danny’s quirk is not his own or more so that it's not natural and takes every opportunity to state this regardless if anyone is listening or not.
Amber Mclain
Hero Name: Ember
Quirk: Fiery voice (50/50)
Her quirk uses the vibrations in her sining voice to conduct intense heat waves onto opponents or utilize to rumble the structures around here and even put out the flames from her quirk. Its like a combination of Present Mic and Endevours quirk but it leaves her with a strained or inflamed vocal cords with overuse.
Third year student or an upcoming rock star that has certainly gain huge popularity after her song “Remember” was a nationwide hit amongst the younger generation. She’s striving to be the top hero while making her next hit to become the 1# song on the listings.
Dani
Hero name: Phantwo (lol jk; unsure what her name would be)
Quirk: Poltergeist
Similar to Danny’s quirk “Ghost”, except she has the additional ability to melt herself to a slimy puddle and use her ectoplasmic slime to trap or surprise opponents.
Clockwork
Hero Name: Clockwork
Quirk: Time Keeper
Clockwork’s quirk allows him to stop time for 5 to 15 minutes and be able to rewind it in the same amount of time. It can be one to multiple objects as long as he touches them in order to interact with them.
Principle of UA in this au. He’s quite a reserved man but still manages to visit and congregate with students throughout the school during lunch period.
Flynn Fenton/Flynn Walker
Hero Name: The Green Knight
Quirk: Mineralization
His quirk allows him to manipulate the minerals and inorganic materials in the atmosphere to create into crystalized constructs that are almost stronger than diamond. Luckily, the crystals have no value so he doesn’t have to worry about that aspect of his quirk. He does have to worry about his skin becoming dried out as a result of his quirk usage.
Flynn is a third year student that loves to check up on his cousin, Danny, any chance he gets bc of the amount of work he does with his internships.
James Walker (or James W. Hausermann)
Hero name: Warden Wraith
Quirk: Plasma Apparatus
His quirk ionizes the electrolytes in the blood system into plasma. His entire body is composed of plasma giving him his skeletal appearance. He can create plasma chains, teleport from point A to B and more as long as he focuses and has enough energy at use. Course, he can have minor to severe dehydration and imbalance in his electrolyte levels from overuse.
Occupation: CEO of an infrastructure security company/Provisional License Examiner just like Gang Orca. The ghost prison guards become his backup/helpers for the exam phases. (They’re just trained stuntmen with combat or military experience for the occasion).
Also, I like to think Walker has kids in this au who are in the Class 1-A group; they’re not hard to spot they take after their father with their skeletal complexion.
Skulker
Villain name: Quirk Hunter
Quirk: Tracker
The moment Skulker makes eye contact with his target he will be able to hunt them down and find them anywhere no matter how good they are at covering their tracks. He can lock on to only one target, but he will be able to know their heart beat, quirk, be able to place a tracking/scent line that only he can see and will lead him to his target’s location. It lasts for over a day or a half.
Occupation: Skulker is known for capturing, info-detailing or “retiring” newcomer pros or specific quirk users for his clients that pay him handsomely for their targets, dead or alive. Thanks to Vlad, Danny was strictly intended to be captured alive by Skulker but sometimes he gets too thrilled by the hunt to not have a memento. Trust me, it's more of a dangerous
Nicolai Technus
Villain Name: Technus
Quirk: Technopathy
A genius in his own right, even if he’s a little crazy, with the best ability possible for a man of science and innovation. As long as he knows the makeup and attributes of the machine, Technus is able to completely repurpose or change a machine’s qualities for offensive and defensive qualities. Whenever that be for a mech suit or hacking a high tech system for entry, he’s able to do it as long as he knows what it is and how it functions. An example is repurposing a slot machine into a submachine gun that shoots coins at the target.
Vlad Masters
Name: Vlad Plasmius
Quirk: Vampire
Can do anything a vampire can supposedly do. However, he was able to manifest an additional aspect of this quirk which is the ability to copy any quirk users ability. Based on the type of blood he ingests decides the amount of time he can use the copied quirk for.
Occupation: CEO of his own hero firm, he is extremely selective with the interns he has that there is a major waitlist to be even consider for Masters Inc. Course, imagine the surprise Danny must of felt when he received an offer from Vlad right off the bat after the Sports festival.
Bruce Guiles (Bullet)
Hero Name: Bullet
Quirk: Sphyraena or Chimera Fish
Able to do anything a barracuda can do or the quirk is a 50/50 mutant quirk in which he has both the traits of a barracuda, Chimaeras and a touch of piranha from his parents being of one of these fish species hence Chimera. Bullet can do anything those fish can do overall but he can’t go too long without hydration from water. Water quality and its oxygen content also affect his abilities by a noticeable percentage but he still remains quite formidable as a quirk user.
Occupation: Captain of a coast guard team, he’s a strict military man with an amazing record of saving people from any disasters both on land and sea. Him and Walker are best buddies ever since they went to school together.
Vortex
Hero Name: Vortex
Quirk: Storm Warning
Vortex can utilize any variation of a natural disaster depending on the environment he’s in. Hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, you name it he can create it for his use. However, despite his amazing control over his quirk it is still possible for him to create these disasters if he lost control or magnify another pre-existing one if he loses focus.
Occupation: Storm-chaser/Forecaster; His control and knowledge in combating/predicting these natural disasters has led to him to be part of a storm chasing crew and they’re the best in helping disaster prevention teams evacuate citizens as a result.
Petra Eris
Hero name: Pandora
Quirk: Butterfly Effect
Can manipulate or prevent a chaotic event to happen if she was in proximity and present to prevent it to happen. Or even give a little chaos to the opponent to deal with during battle.
One of the top ten heroes and most beloved heroes in the country. She is the best strategist in any team and has a way to predict any event before they happen given the necessity of it for her quirk to work in her favor.
Johnny
Vigilante name: Johnny 13
Quirk: Unlucky
Johnny manifests his bad luck into a shadow that will latch onto opponents and cause unfortunate events to occur more for that individual as a result. However, the shadow cannot exist in complete sunlight; it can only remain if there are already shadows in his general area or it’s nighttime and its effects are strongest at that time obviously.
Occupation: Johnny is the leader of a biker gang or de-facto leader of said biker gang who loves to raise hell and helping folks that need saving whenever he’s around or is up to the task. Kitty tags along with him to help him out of jams and bc she loves him. :3
Kitty
Vigilante name: Kitty
Quirk: Lovesick
Kitty sends a smooch towards her opponent which if it makes contact causes the individual to have nausea or become disoriented for around 10 minutes. It can also have a chance of lasting longer if the individual was sort of infatuated with her regardless of gender.
Pariah Dark
Villain name: King Pariah
Quirk: Ultimate Adaptation
Similar to all for one except with the unpredictability for both the user and opponents. Pariah can manifest any type of quirk needed to defeat anyone that stands in his way both one-on-one and in groups. Course, drawbacks are the learning curve to some of the quirks and that multiple adaptions he utilizes at once will destroy his cells in the process.
Pariah is a former follower of all for one who had unique quirk that All for one augmented to help him succeed if both Shigaraki and Tomura failed in their own conquest for the world. But now Pariah has his own plans to succeed where they failed and become the leader who shapes a new world order with an iron fist.
Frederick Kingsmen
Villain/vigilante name: Fright Knight
Quirk: Burning Energy Infusion
Able to form/infuse objects with his own burning energy life force that is capable of burning or slicing through any in his sight. The sweat he gives off is what provides the material needed to ignite his unnatural flames despite it causing his body to overheat still.
Fright Knight is Pariah’s second-in-command with a loyalty to him as strong as his control over his power. Fright Knight has faced many pro-heros as he carried out the smaller phases of Pariah’s plans and most of them barely came close towards defeating or leaving as much as  scratch on the knight.
Rodolfo Gonzalo
Hero name: Wulf
Quirk: Werewolf + Portal creation (50/50?)
Can do anything a werewolf can supposedly do; somehow it allows him to create portals with his claws to locations he has marked with them or visited in the past.
Wulf was abducted on by Pariah’s forces and sent into the Nomu labs for experimentation to force on another quirk and instill complete allegiance to their cause. Course, Wulf broke free as a result of that new additional quirk allowing him to escape their clutches and his previous one helping him survive the endeavor. However, he lost his memories in the process and could only remember his native language, Spanish, and his hero name Wulf.
Overgrown
Villain/vigilante Name: Overgrown
Quirk: Plant Manipulation
Can manipulate any pre-existing plant matter or create new vegetation if water and soil is present for the process or he understand the biological makeup of the plant in question.
Occupation: Pro-hero or eco-terrorist who is tired of humanity from abusing the environment from quirk battles to industries using the land for their own benefits and none others.
That’s all I have for now! I hope this was worth the wait, guys. As well as, inspire ideas for your takes with a DP x BNHA Crossover!

Fire and Ash aka Damien x Asher
This is my far far from canon headcanon of Damien and Asher as a couple...
No one asked for it, but I won’t turn back now!
-they go jogging together. Asher can jog for days and never misses a chance to go with Damien.
-Damien has mixed feelings about Asher coming to his gym. On one side, it’s always fun to see him but on the other Asher isn’t a very focused person when it comes to exercise and ends up talking to strangers. Damien inevitably finds someone flirting with him.
-Damien is surprised when some of Asher’s pack friends call him forgetful and unfocused. Asher never forgets a date, a birthday, or an anniversary. He remembers everything Damien tells him about classes, tests, assholes at DAMN, and his plans for the future near and far.
-Damien makes this growly sound when he’s pissed off and Asher secretly thinks it’s adorable.
-Damien runs hot and Asher loves the heat.
-Asher plays video games while Damien studies or reads. Damien absolutely does not play video games.
-Damien’s family was worried about him dating a shifter for like 5 seconds until Damien went on a tirade about prejudices and they apologized for even asking.
-Damien tries to better Asher’s junk food diet. Asher doesn’t mind at all. Good food is still good food, after all, and it’s not like he’s the one cooking it.
-Damien complained about his bike being broken and the next day it was fixed. He waited all day for Asher to take credit for it and then finally snapped and asked him about it. Ash had honestly forgotten until then that he’d done it and asked if it was working, not even looking for credit.
-Damien bosses Asher around and Asher loves it.
-Asher always asks Damien how his day went and notices when he’s off and Damien loves that.
-Damien had a falling out with some of his peers when they insinuated he was slumming it with Asher, calling him pretty but dumb. The falling out involved the melting of two laptops, three phones, and all four tires of one of those peer’s cars. Damien absolutely refused to tell anyone, especially Asher, what the fight was about--afraid it would hurt his feelings or, even worse, that the idea that it could be true could get into his head.
-Asher loves how well Damien and David get along. They mostly communicate nonverbally with shrugs but Asher thinks it’s great.
-Asher became instant friends with Huxley and now the DAMN group and the pack go camping together and meet up for barbeques.
-Damien never exactly asked Asher to move in. He just got pissed that he kept coming and going and told him to put his shit in the closet. And then a month later when he realized Ash still had some stuff at David’s, asked if there was a reason he was keeping a backup apartment. Asher said he didn’t want him to feel crowded or like he couldn’t ask him to leave if he was too much in his space. Damien said it wasn’t possible for him to be too much in his space. It was their space. And then Damien blushed at what he’d said and almost set a pillow on fire. Asher grinned, kissed him, and promised to get his stuff out of David’s place.
-A lot of their bedroom furniture is singed.

Meet cute (Darling/Lasko Moore) Darling wakes up to a peaceful morning when they feel something heavy hop onto their chest and an intense craving for chicken wraps.
Making Amends (Gen fic of Bright Eyes & Frederick) You’d think being a Vampire would make them have a high tolerance for pain by now.
Third time's the charm (Darling/Sam Collins) Darling had only met with Sam’s Newborns (“Babies.” Vincent Solaire teases when his babysitting duties ended. “Don’t let his grumpy attitude fool you. He’s surprising protective over them.”) twice, and even then, it’s from afar.
A softer touch (Angel/David Shaw, Babe/Asher, Sweetheart/Milo Greer + Darling) Angel resist the urge to grin as they carefully apply their eyeliner while David is hovering behind them like a looming ghost.

To wish upon the star (Starlight/Avior + Echo) Avior only agreed to rest after Starlight insisted sternly.
Who you gonna call? (Freelancer/Gavin/Damien/Lasko Moore/Huxley + Caelum) The Freelancer is currently trying to understand just how they got here, hovering near the door after Damien kicked it down in all his righteous fury with only Gavin to serve as a backup in case fists start flying inside the HOA office.
Friends & flowers (Gen fic of Olliver & Caelum) On lunch break, while dining out with his coworker, Oliver recalls Babe’s favourite flowers.
Aggro makes everything better (Sweetheart/Milo Greer + Aggro) “Milo? I’m home!”

Youtuber Ego Gravity Falls au Part 3
Part 1
Part 2
Part 4
@the-chemist
 - Technically Celine is only Yan’s great aunt but once Jackie’s mom heard about the trip she made Jackie go with her to “enjoy your summer instead of studying all the time”.
 - She was not having any of Jackie’s excuses for why he couldn’t go but (un)luckily some of his superhero friends offered to cover for him meaning he now has no reason to not go on the trip. Greeeeaaat.
 - Some backstory for how all this shit got started; Mark, William, Eve, and Celine all came to Gravity Falls b/e of the weird phenomenon. Well actually Celine is the only one who wants to study the weirdness, Will just wanted to hunt monsters, Mark didn’t want William and Celine to be alone together just wants to hang out with his good friends and is also funding the trip, Eve is here because Mark asked if they wanted to go and they said yes.
-Mark brought Benjamin and Chef with him b/e he refuses to live in the wilderness without servants. George is the previous owner who gives them ominous warnings that none of them listen to.
 - Abe is always sure they’re up to something and is almost constantly at their door. This has lead to a few.... altercations with William. It’s usually defused before it gets too far. He really likes Mark and Eve but really hates Will and Celine.
 - Celine makes a deal with The Entity first but once William accidently falls into the portal and sees something horrible and he leaves she calls off the deal. Unfortunately The Entity has a backup plan and Mark ends up making a deal.
-The servants leave b/e of a combination of Mark getting into The Entity and because William J. “I love danger” Barnum warned them that what they’re are doing is too dangerous as he left.
 - Eventually Mark left and pulled out his funding once he and Celine had an argument about The Entity. He goes on to live in the only manor in town that he bought from the original owners.
-This leaves Eve and Celine, two people who mildly dislike each other on a good day. Celine thinks Eve is a suck up and Eve thinks Celine is a bitch and now they’re stuck together. Celine is  angry about what happened and only gets angrier b/e of Eve seeming nonreaction. The next time Abe is at their door she is about ready to commit a murder. Luckily Eve gets him to go away, something about the tiredness in their eyes made him back off.
-Eve decides to help Abe on investigations sometimes. Partly b/e they’re desperate to interact with someone they don’t hate, partly b/e they don’t want to be around Celine more than necessary, and partly b/e they actually like him.
-They both agree on hiding the journals (a group project by the former friends) but Celine decides on her own Damien should be the one to hide them. Eve’s pretty irritated when they realize what Celine did.
-Damien is very upset and confused when he arrives b/e they’ve been in the woods for years, Mark and Will aren’t writing back, and Celine and Eve look like hell. Celine doesn’t explain which frustrates Damien and then they start arguing and Eve tries to get them to calm down but they aren’t listening.
- It ends how you expect. It’s the first time Celine sees Eve angry and it’s the first time Eve sees Celine cry. They don’t talk for a few days until they run out of money.
 - It’s Eve’s idea to start the Murder Hut, Celine thinks it’s a stupid idea and veto’s it but when Celine wakes up  the next morning you can guess what she saw. They at least let her name the place.
 - Things are alright for a bit. The two finally start to understand each other. Celine doesn’t trust the portal so she insists on trying a big spell in order to retrieve Damien. Eve is a bit suspicious but they know by now she’d do anything for her loved ones so they decide to trust her. She works on getting the materials for the spell while Eve runs the Hut.
 - The day they try the spell the Hut is closed for the day. Eve has a bad feeling but they trust Celine so they don’t do anything about it besides Celine seems desperate for this to work, and who are they to burst her bubble on a feeling? Anyway the spell goes wrong and Eve is trapped in a mirror.
-Celine tries to get them out for days but nothing works. Eventually Celine realizes that she’s gonna have to run the Hut and try to repair the portal(which will be difficult b/e Eve is the one who hid the journals with the schematics and they can’t communicate now).
-Eventually Abe comes by and is upset about the fact that Eve has seemingly gone missing and tries interrogating her about it but she just tells him to fuck off. He spends the next years desperately searching for them while Celine doesn’t say anything.
That was a lot more than I though it would be so shove any other ideas I had for next time. See ya.

Damien woke up alone again, but that was expected. Jackson wasn't coming back until late that night. He groaned as he pushed himself up. He didn't want to think about how Jackson would react to his new hint.
He glanced down at his wrist to see writing, and he quickly looked back up - not quite ready to deal with all that.
He went to take a shower to clear his head, and turned the water to almost as hot as it would go before sitting on the small shower floor to let the hot water wash over him. Taking a deep breath, he decided to finally check the writing on his arm.
'Hello dear. I know we have yet to meet, but I already absolutely adore you. I was overjoyed to hear that I have a fourth love to pamper and dote on. I don't know what you're going through, but I know I want to help in whatever way you need me. I'm here for you <3' R wrote in their familiar messy cursive.
'I'm afraid I don't quite excelt in emotions, but do know that I hope you're alright and I look forward to the day we finally make acquiantance.' from L.
'Talk to us soon, please. We want to know you're safe.' from the purple writing.
'I told you they'd be excited <3' from Patton.
Damien wiped the tears from his eyes. They should be furious with him! They should want nothing to do with him! But instead they say they care about him - that they want him to be okay.
But he is okay. And how can they really care about him? They know nothing about him.
"So they can't really care," Damien muttered to himself as he stood up. He showered and dried off quickly so he could hurry and get his clothes back on.
Damien waited nervously for Jackson to come home. While waiting, he tried to figure out how to tell him about the new hint, but couldn't find the right words. When Damien heard the front door unlock, he still had no idea what to say.
"Hey," Damien said. He was immediately pulled into a kiss which caused him to smile and wish he could forget about his soulmates for just a few minutes.
"How're you?" Jackson asked as he slid his hand down Damien's back and squeezed his ass, causing Damien to jump.
Oh yeah. He had forgotten that was on the agenda.
"I actually have something to tell you..." Damien said. Jackson's eyebrows furrowed together.
"What?"
"I got another hint."
Anger flashed over Jackson's eyes, but it was gone almost as quickly as it appeared.
"Which one?"
"We can see through each other's eyes. I can't control when it happens," Damien said.
"What happened?" Jackson asked as the grip he had on Damien's arm grew tighter.
"It only happened once. He talked to me, but I didn't do anything back."
Damien yelped as Jackson yanked his arms towards him and pushed his sleeves up to read what they had written.
"Well, I'll just have to remind you who you belong to, huh?"
Jackson looked up at him with dark eyes. Damien shuddered, but he nodded. And before he knew it, he was being picked up and flung onto the bed.
It was two weeks until their new hint was triggered again. Damien was about to fall asleep, Jackson's arm wrapped around his waist, when he was alerted it was going to happen again. He winced as the world went white.
He was in an empty theater. There was a ghostlight on the stage and a single spotlight on him, but everything else was dark. The stranger Damien was looking through had frozen in place.
"Well, hello!" they said after a couple of seconds. "I was wondering when I'd get the chance to talk to you."
They walked downstage and sat down on the edge, looking over the dark house.
"I'm Roman. I'm a bit surprised that the universe decided now was a good time for me to speak to you, but I'm not complaining. I'm here practicing my big monologue for the play coming up," Roman said as he grabbed his water bottle. He took a drink before continuing. "I've been doing theatre since I was a kid. Not to brag, but I'm pretty damn good at it. The professors here love me~"
Damien rolled his eyes.
"They gave me a spare key to the theater for practice. It's so hard during the day when students keep coming in and out of the theater. Do you know how many times I've found some student just sleeping in the house seats? It's ridiculous."
Roman fell onto his back to lay down on the stage.
"...That morning when Patton told us we had another soulmate, I almost didn't believe him," Roman said softly after a moment, raising his hand to the light. "I mean, no offense to you, but years without a fifth person's writing would make you think that. But he told us how he spoke to you. He sounded so serious. And Pat's not one to joke about things like that."
Roman dropped his arm beside him.
"But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. As much as I adore the other three, there has always been this feeling that something was missing. I was never willing to bring it up as to not worry my beloveds, because I didn't want them to think I was unhappy with them. I'm happier than I ever imagined I could be. But it felt like... like when you don't need something for school one day, so you leave it home. But then for the entire day you feel off because that familiar weight isn't in your backpack. That's how it felt, and now I understand why.
Damien's eyebrows furrowed as he adjusted himself further into his pillow.
"I really can't understand why you won't talk to us," Roman said after another moment. "I don't want to offend you or scare you off, but I really don't get it. I spent my entire childhood looking forward to my fifteenth birthday. Then again, I'm told I'm quite the romantic. Perhaps you are not? I don't want my fervor to scare you away. However doting I may be, more than anything I want my soulmates happy. Don't ever think I wouldn't be happy to slow down to whatever pace your comfortable with."
They were alerted that their time together was almost over, and Roman sighed.
"Don't be afraid to talk to us. See you soon, my darling."
And Damien was back in his room.
...My darling.
Roman didn't even know him and he had called Damien his darling.
He thought back to what Roman said, about going at Damien's own pace, and how Jackson treated him.
Damien then pushed that train of thought aside, adamant to not let these strangers make him think poorly of Jackson. Jackson did everything he did because he loved and wanted him. They chose each other.
He was sure that whatever promises his soulmates made to him would be broken as soon as they met. As soon as he opened his snarky mouth around them, they'd change their minds and leave. Just like everyone else - except Jackson.
In his sleep, Jackson tightened his grip on Damien and snuggled closer. Damien smiled and nestled further into Jackson's chest, ready to finally be able to sleep.
It had been a few months after Damien's night with Roman. It was now the summer leading into his next year of college, and Damien was glad things had gone back to normal. His and Jackson's relationship had fallen back into their regular pattern of date nights and sex, Jackson's jealousy rarely flaring up.
Summer had been quite boring, spending days on end alone in the house whenever Jackson went off with friends. But it did give Damien plenty of time to practice and experiment with makeup. Pretty soon, he felt he was ahead of anyone else in his upcoming makeup classes.
With this newfound confidence and the comfort of his normal routine, he rarely found himself worrying about his new hint.
That is, of course, until it happened again.
Damien sighed as he sat back in his chair in front of the mirror.
"Let's just get this over with," Damien thought as the world again went white.
He was on a campus. His school campus.
Oh, no. They went to his school.
He was walking towards one of the main student parking lots, though it was mostly empty since it was summer. Whoever he was seeing through was holding a phone to their ear.
"I have my phone so I can speak to you without worrying passerby," the stranger said. "It is quite unexpected timing, but that is not to say I am displeased. I am actually very grateful that I have been given this chance to talk to you, especially since it has been so long since any of us have had a... visit from you, I guess would be an appropriate term."
"My name is Logan. I am taking summer classes here. I'm majoring in chemical engineering, but I am also pursuing education to become a teacher or professor if I so choose."
"I call it a backup plan. Roman calls it overkill."
Logan unlocked his car and shoved his phone in his pocket before shutting the door and starting the ignition.
"I have been thinking about what I would say to you when given the chacne, but now that I find myself in this predicament I can not seem to find my words."
Logan paused as he backed his car out of the parking lot.
"Roman and Patton told me what they said. While I entertained the thought of giving an emotional spiel of the same caliber, I am afraid I am just not capable of putting emotions into words. Facts are more my forte - Concrete statements that can not be disputed. So here are the facts: I understand your hesitance of speaking to your soulmates, since it took me weeks after my fifteenth birthday to write to Patton. I do not know you, so I can not claim that I adore or love you, but I genuinely do hope that you are in a safe situation, and I look forward to when we are able to meet."
"There. Maybe when we meet in person I can think of something better to say, but for now I think this will suffice."
Damien sighed in relief. He didn't know if he could handle another emotionally guilting speech.
"We have an apartment not too far from campus. We used to live on the other side of town and the commutes got so annoying."
Damien tensed as he watched Logan turn onto the road by his apartment. Oh, for the love of God, please don't let them live in the same complex.
Damien sighed in relief as Logan drove past.
"It was hard to find a relatively cheap apartment that could fit the four of us - we are incredibly lucky for what we have. We had to buy a larger bed, and we still argue over the one bathroom sometimes, but all in all I say it has been worth it."
As Logan stopped at a red light, the two were alarted that their time together was going to end.
"Well, I hope this was not a miserable experience for you. Frankly, I am still trying to get used to the concept. I hope I get to see you soon, and I wish you the best."
Damien was staring at himself in the mirror. He didn't feel like doing makeup anymore.
While that experience had been easier to stomach than the previous ones, it still wasn't ideal. Damien sighed as he reached for his makeup wipes.
They went to his school.
How many times had he walked past them? Had they seen each other before? Did they share any classes?
Damien knew he had to me much more cautious this upcoming school year.
A bit more than a month later, Damien was reading over his class schedule again. School was starting soon, and he couldn't stop worrying about meeting his soulmates.
Damien was hesitent to tell Jackson. Jackson would probably set even stricter rules for Damien, or he might even force Damien to stop going to campus altogether.
It was getting late and Damien was again waiting for Jackson to get home. Around in the morning he gave up waiting and went to get ready for bed.
He was brushing his teeth when he waws alerted he was going to see through one of his soulmates again. He groaned as he spit out his toothpaste. He was really tired and he just wanted to get some sleep. He left the bathroom and fell onto his bed, hitting the mattress as soon as the world went white.
It was dark - Damien couldn't tell where his soulmate was. But after a moment he could tell they were staring at their lap.
"Sorry," they suddenly said in a weak voice. "Give me a moment."
They took a shaky breath and wiped tears off their face. That voice wasn't Patton's, or Roman's, or Logan's. This was the purple handwriting.
The stranger looked up and though it was too dark to see much, Damien could tell they were sitting on the roof of a building.
"I just.." the stranger started, but trailed off. They sighed.
"I've been waiting for my turn to talk to you. I've been worrying about what I should say because I didn't want to say anything that might drive you even further away because I'm not great with words and then as more time went on I was worried that the universe decided I shouldn't speak to you because I'd just mess things up and-"
The stranger stopped their rant and took another shaky breath.
"I'm sorry. I just... I don't want to screw this up."
"The others are asleep. They don't know I'm up here. It's a good place to go to just be alone for a while."
"I'm okay, by the way. I'm just worried about the school year. It starts really soon. I'm an art major minoring in creative writing and while I really love it, it sometimes feels like too much to handle. Sometimes I can't help but think about every possible thing that could go wrong."
The stranger paused.
"I know you don't want to talk to us," they said slowly. "But we would like to get to know you. Even if you don't want to meet, if you'd just write us or... or... something. It's stressing all of us out. Patton's sad almost all the time. Roman's angry. He tries to act like he's not but he is. Logan and I are trying to be the reasonable ones, but I can tell it's bothering Lo, too and I just... I just... I..."
The stranger trailed off before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.
Damien clenched his fists, sharp nails digging into his skin. He wasn't responsible for other people's emotions. He can not be to blame for how they are behaving-
"I'm sorry," the stranger whispered, snapping Damien out of his thoughts. "That was guilting. I don't want you to do anyting you don't want to do. If you really think you'd be happier without us, then okay. We want you to be happy."
Damien unclenched his fists.
"Is it something we said? Are you older than me? Younger? How long have you been reading our conversations without every saying anything?"
"Did Roman scare you off? I know he's obnoxious sometimes but he's a really nice guy and he knows when to tone it down when necessary. Maybe Logan? Look, he's brutally honest and sometimes doesn't know when to keep his opinions to himself, but he's a good dude."
"It couldn't have been Patton, could it? I mean, I guess he can be a bit overbearing, but it's only because he cares so much."
"...I wouldn't be surprised if it was me," Damien's soulmate whispered. "I know I'm snarky somtimes. And rude. And overly sarcastic. And I know my anxiety can be annoying to deal with. But the last thing I'd want is to drive anyone away."
Damien's mind was racing. His heart hurt for this stranger, and he was angry about it. It wasn't his soulmate's fault! This was all on him!
"And it isn't as bad as I made it out to be. I tend to exaggerate. We're getting better. It was a huge shock at first, but we're learning to live with it. So don't feel bad about that. Roman isn't really mad at you. He's mad at whatever is keeping you away from us. Sorry again for being so guilting."
His soulmate sat in silence as he stared towards the horizon. Damien wondered when their time together would run out. None of the other encounters had been this long.
"I was so scared on my fifteenth birthday," his soulmate whispered suddenly. "I didn't have a great upbringing. Well, none of us really did, but mine was particularly bad. Years of parental neglect and vicious bullying left me an anxious wreck."
Damien's breath hitched.
"I wanted a soulmate so badly. I wanted that special person that was promised to love me and accept me. So when I wrote 'hello' on my arm at midnight and no one wrote back, I cried for hours. Now I know that my soulmates were just asleep, but my mind didn't let me think rationally. My mind went to the worst possible scenario: I didn't have a soulmate"
"Then I woke up and saw three different sets of handwriting on my arm and I had a panic attack."
"But they were so nice and so excited to see me. I quickly fell for these three strangers, and they were the only people I trusted - even if I hadn't met them. They were there for me for ther est of high school. They helped me. No one had done that before."
"I actually stopped writing to them once I got to college, though. I fell into a really bad mental state. I convinced myself I was going to fail my classes and drop out and never do anything with my life. I thought the others would be better off without a burden like me.
"I couldn't help but read what they wrote, though. They would regularly ask if I was there, if I was okay. But I never answered. They had never even met me, so they'd get over me eventually, right?"
"Then I met Patton. We had an art class togther, though we never talked. I never really talked to anyone. But one day he had doodled all over his hand, so his doodles were on mine, too. He didn't notice at first, but I couldn't stop staring at him. Eventually he noticed, and he smiled at me with that Patton smile that melts any cold bone in you and assures you that everything is going to be okay."
"And you know what I did? I ran out of the room. I ran to my dorm and locked myself in the bathroom. Pathetic, huh?"
Damien could hear the smile in his voice.
"He later wrote to ask which one of us he had seen. I'm certain he knew it was me, though. When Roman and Logan found out they got so excited. They asked if I looked like I was doing okay. Patton said that I looked 'tired and dangerously skinny,' but that was normal for me. They were all so worried about me. That's when I realized it was bad for all of us for me to ignore them."
"The next art class, Pat was standing outside the door waiting for me. He asked if we could talk, and he gave me such a gentle smile I couldn't say no. We talked and talked and cried a bit, but we figured it out. Patton was adamant he get me out of the dorm with my shitty roommate, so we got a little apartment together. Later we ran into Logan and then Roman, and I thought things couldn't get any better."
"Then a couple years later, one morning Patton tells us we have another soulmate. I completely blanked. I remember staring off into the distance as everything around me turned blurry. The others were speaking, but I couldn't tell you what they had said. Logan led me to the couch and snapped me out of my daze. I was confused. And scared. Everything was finally becoming perfect, and now something was disrupting that."
"I was worried for you, but also anxious for myself, as selfish as that sounds. But then I started wondering, what if there was a fifth person with us? What if someone could be with me while the others had calsses? What if there was a fifth person made for us to join in on cuddle sessions and date nights? I realized we were missing a piece of ourselves, and that missing piece was you," his soulmate finished in a soft whisper.
"I'm sorry. I'm talking too much. You're probably getting sick of me."
Surprisingly, Damien found that he wasn't.
They were alerted that their time together was almost over, and his soulmate sighed.
"I should go back to bed. Take care of yourself, okay?"
Damien was back in his room. He took a shaky breath and pulled his blankets up right under his chin. He stared at the wall for at least half an hour before he heard the door open, meaning Jackson was home.
Damien didn't feel like dealing with Jackson, so he closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep. Jackson called out his name, and he heard Jackson huff as he headed towards the bedroom. For a moment, Damien was worried Jackson would want to wake him up, but instead he just laid down next to him, which Damien was thankful for. He just wanted to go to sleep so he didn't have to think about everything he had just heard.
Right before Damien succumbed to sleep, he realized his soulmate forgot to give his name.

Recruitment in a Club
Summary: In which Dark... recruits William as his partner.
Prompt: Goretober, Demonic
Warnings: strangle mention, mass shooting, blood mention, dark having power to control fear, lack of sanity, manipulation, dark is referred to as a demon.
Note: Day two is a success! I actually really like this one, so I hope you guys do too!! (Also apologies again for the lack of read more)
———
Dark strides into the club, the bouncer coughing and clutching his reddened, bruising throat, eyes wide and white in terror, crotch dampened. The receiving end of his version of a ticket that allows him to step inside and skip the line. Very effective.
His aura had played a crucial role, sneaking in the man’s fears to play in his mind on a loop, startling him stiff. He’d recover from that before the night’s end. Probably.
Music throbs in the air, twisting around flailing bodies and thrumming in their chests besides their beating hearts. Unconsciously, they all veer away from Dark’s path, providing him a narrow pathway to the foot of the stage.
Dancers atop it pay him no heed, continuing to twist their bodies in time with the heavy beat. The central dancer, a brightly colored man with dyed hair, is by far the most enthusiastic of them. The others simply follow the tune of the music, mimicking the man while he dances with it, a partner to the song and a showman of its grace.
Dark clears his throat, the sound cutting through the music, disrupting the steady, flowing pace and the dancers trip, stumbling over themselves to stagger away from the creature who emits horror. Except one. The man continues, lithely avoiding the stumbling figures of the lost dancers. The man is blind to the intrusion, deaf to anything besides the music as he now commands it.
Three small steps lead up to the stage and Dark walks up them, aura wide and thrumming, dimming the lights, muting the music, sending a chill of warning throughout the club.
The man continues to dance.
“William,” the demon calls, voice low and rumbling yet somehow louder then the music still ringing in the air.
The man, the dancer, William, ignores the call. Dark steps closer, his arm brushing against a backup dancer who gasps and falls off the stage. No one notices, continuing to dance and enjoy the vibrant vibe, accounting the chill grasping their spine and whispering ‘danger’ as a side effect of the alcohol.
Taps of heel against wood echo. A slight sound that dwarfs the deafening music. Reaching out a gray, chilled hand, Dark grasps William’s shoulder.
Finally, he gains the man’s attention. His head still bobs and his hips sway, arms swinging around himself as he performs complicated footwork that keeps him in the same relative area, but he stays near Dark, eyes fixed on him. Practically giving him a lap dance, a private show. Grin still plastered to his face.
Dark sighs through his nose, closing his eyes for a brief moment in annoyance. “Colonel,” he says, his tone a strange mix of soft and commanding and regretful.
The man stops.
Confusion laces across his features, pinching his brows and weighing down the upward slope of his smile. “Colonel?” He repeats, mutters to himself because the word sounds... familiar. The meaning escapes him, but it rings in his head, a familiar sound.
“William.” Dark takes a half step forwards, grasping at the man’s wrist, pulling it between them to flip it palm up. His hand lays limp in his grasp, mind still whirring for the connection he can feel, the words clinging to his tongue, words burning in his throat, memories lurking in the shadows.
“Do you remember me?” His face is flat, expression artfully neutral even as the final word tremors.
William bounces his gaze over Dark’s face, over the hand holding his, between his eyes. His search stops there. Those eyes. Why do they look familiar?
“I think,” he clears his throat, eyes still pinned to the demon’s, “we’ve met before.”
Dark scoffs a laugh, expression lightening for a moment before he cools it again. “Yes,” he says, voice notably softer then it has been previously, “we have. A very long time ago.”
“Ah!” William pulls his hand free, snapping in Dark’s face. “Are you looking to work here?” He appraises Dark, scanning him with his gaze. “A singer? Musician?”
“No.” Dark scrubs a hand on his forehead wearily. “I’m not a musician or singer.” Not anymore. He could have been, once. He had the talent for it.
William blinks, tilts his head in confusion. “Then who are you?”
It hurts, that he’s asking. They used to be close, used to be brothers, used to be lovers.
No. Dark shakes his head, warding off the old forbidden memories. He wasn’t them anymore.
“I’d like to make you an offer.”
The dancer snorts, shaking his head. “Of what?” he asks. “I’m having all the fun I need right here.” He sweeps his arms out, gesturing to the mob of sweaty people still dancing to music that’s no longer playing on the stage. He frowns. “What happened to the music?”
The demon tilts his chin up, bristling. “The music does not matter.” It’s muffled, nearly gone in the bubble of Dark’s aura engulfing the stage. Irritation prickles across his skin. “I’d like to make a deal with you.”
“Not interested. Put the music back on.”
Anger flashes in his eyes. Leaning forward, he locks William in his gaze, in the dark pools of his eyes. It’s instinctive, to pull him in when he’s not cooperating.
He worms his way to the brain, where he dredges up the manor and tugs it to the forefront of his mind. Warped, aged memories filter back in flashes. Giant booms, fallen bodies, a fantastical prank.
He takes the bones of that night and fleshes it out with horror, with a mix of brutal reality and anxious fiction, showing William shooting Abe, shooting Mark, shooting Damien, shooting Celine, shooting Y/N. Showing William the fear he’s been denying and fleeing from.
Muzzle flashes spark across his eyes as Dark leans away, straightening his posture and smoothing out his suit.
William falls to the floor, shaking and terrified. “What was that?”
Dark crouches, seeking eye contact that William flinches away from. Dead friends hang in his eyes and they’re not dead, they can’t be. He would never kill them.
Sighing, he lowers his gaze to the floor. A reprieve that allows William to breathe. “I can make it stop,” Dark says, “the memories, the horror, the guilt.”
“I— I didn’t do that.” William scrambles away, shaking his head. “I didn’t shoot them.”
Dark lifts his head, finds his gaze. More shots, more bodies, more blood.
“No, stop.” William cries, terror locked around his heart.
Dark pulls the gun out of pocket, shining silver and far too heavy in his hand. He holds it out to the man. “Do you remember this?”
“That didn’t happen,” he whispers. “It’s not real.” Shakily, he grabs the gun, cold metal biting into his skin and aiding in the return of old feelings, aiding in the twist of Dark’s power in his mind. “Damien’s not dead.”
Something flinches in Dark, twisting his organs. He remembers a bright light, a soft chant gone too far. Snowy woods, cracking ice and a small cabin. Pain filters across his face. “No,” he finally says, “Damien is dead.”
Strangled laughter. “No. No, no, no, he’s not dead, he’s just playing a prank!” The old manic look, familiar and new all at once, lights his eyes. Decades of parties and dancing melt away to leave William’s core, barren and open to the outside world. Returning him to the man who killed and thought it to be a joke. Washing away the years he’s spent toeing the line of sanity and now forcing him to choose.
“Join me,” Dark says, reaching out a hand, promising something the other man doesn’t understand.
William eyes Dark’s hand, hesitant. He was enjoying all the clubs and the dancing. Twisting the gun his hands feels right. Natural.
Dark expands upon himself. “If you agree to become my partner, I’ll let you keep the gun. Deal?”
Their hands shake before William puts in any thought. It’s second nature, habit, what Dark is offering him. With the shake, the deal is sealed, unbreakable, irreversible, and easily struck to the man with a mind of putty.
William agrees out of a desperate need to keep the gun. It feels like an expansion of himself and he remembers now, all the fun he used to have with it. He’d like to have that fun again.
Dark tucks his hands back into his pockets, nodding at his new partner. Spinning on his heel, he retracts his aura, allowing the music to swell throughout the entirety of the room again.
“I’ll be in touch,” he states, as William hefts his new toy upwards and pulls the trigger, staining the floor red and painting the air with screams.
His grin is estastatic and his laughter follows the demon out the club.

Perfect Match, Book One. Chapter 1: True Love, Guaranteed
You walk down a bustling Brooklyn street, the sounds of the city humming all around you.
Karma: (Hope I’m not late!)
Soft music plays as you step into the hip venue of an upscale art show.
Karma: Nadia! Hey!
You spot your cousin, Nadia, among the crowd. Her face lights up as she approaches with arms outstretched and wraps you in a tight hug!
Nadia: Karma! I’m so happy you made it!
Karma: Are you kidding? The opening of your new art collection? I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Nadia: Honestly, I have no idea how it blew up. But who am I to argue with the review of an art critic?
Karma: You mean glowing reviews from dozens of art critics?
Nadia: Oh, shush! Anyway, that’s not what I was excited about.
Karma: Then what is it?
Nadia: I want you to meet my boyfriend!
Nadia waves over to a handsome man from across the room…
Nadia: Steve! Come say hi to my cousin!
Steve: Hey! You must be Karma! I’ve heard so much about you. I’ve been dying to meet you for weeks, but I’ve been busy at the animal shelter.
Karma: Oh! Do you work there?
Nadia: Steve’s an investment banker. But he volunteers at an animal shelter. Amazing, right?
Steve: Ah, it’s nothing. I’m just a guy who likes to do some good in his free time. Nadia here is the amazing one. The way her art makes me feel… It’s indescribable.
Nadia: Aww, sweetie!
Steve: Now, if you’ll excuse me, Karma, I’ve got to replenish the hors d’oeuvres. We’ll talk later! My mini-quiches are going fast!
Steve gives Nadia a kiss on the cheek and hustles off. Nadia sighs, beaming.
Nadia: Did I mention he bakes? He bakes. So… What do you think?
Karma: No one is that perfect. I’m calling bull. How much are you paying him?
Nadia: Ha, ha. Don’t be mad that I’ve found the ultimate boyfriend!
Karma: Really though. Where did you find this guy?
Nadia: I met him through a matchmaking service. They asked me some questions, then found the perfect man for me! They’re very exclusive. Super selective with their clientele. But I’m sure they’d accept you in a heartbeat!
Nadia reaches into her purse and hands you a business card.
Nadia: You should try them out!
Karma: True love, guaranteed? I’ll believe it when I see it!
Nadia: That’s not a nooo…
Karma: I mean… What the hell? I’ll give it a shot. You’ve piqued my curiosity.
Just then, a voice calls to you from the crowd…
Damien: Don’t tell me Nadia has got you drinking this ‘matchmaking’ service Kool-Aid too, Karma. You of all people don’t need some fancy matchmaking service.
Your good friend Damien saunters over, seamlessly switching his empty champagne glass with a fresh one from a server’s tray.
Karma: I’ll take that as a compliment. But you can’t argue with the results. Steve seems like a catch.
Damien: Yeah, I talked to Mr. Perfect on the way in. Haven’t found any flaws or dark secrets yet. But give me time.
Nadia: Really, D? We’ve known you for like, four years. I thought you would’ve dropped the tough, cynical act by now.
Damien: I’m a private investigator. I catch liars and cheaters for a living. ‘Cynical’ is basically my job.
Nadia: Don’t listen to him, Karma. He’s like the Grinch when it comes to love. Eros is the best matchmaking service ever! I’ll schedule you an appointment for a consultation!
Damien: Yeah! A vague, secretive company providing little to no contact information… What could go wrong? Just keep your guard up, Karma… Maybe bring pepper spray, or hold your keys like claw.
Nadia: Ignore him. It’ll be amazing! I know you’re gonna find someone perfect for you!
Karma: Can’t wait!
Later that week, you arrive outside the address Nadia gave you. A sleek, unlabeled complex towers above you…
Karma: (Okay, this is a little weird. Not so much as a logo on the door. But the address looks right…)
You push through the glass doors to enter a warm, inviting lobby. A stunning woman strides gracefully across the room, the steps of her heels echoing through the halls.
Cecile: Karma Park? My name is Cecile Contreras. I’m the Head of Matchmaking here at Eros. Welcome! You got here on the J train, didn’t you? I hope getting to the new Quincy Station wasn’t too much of a hassle.
Karma: Uh, thank you… How did you know--
Cecile: We’ve done our homework. Eros has been expecting you, after all. Your cousin Nadia gave you a glowing referral. I’m excited to begin. Please, follow me.
You follow Cecile through the pristine halls of Eros Incorporated…
Karma: I’m still a little overwhelmed by this whole thing. How can you guarantee true love?
Cecile: A good question. Love is a complex thing. But here at Eros, we’ve used the latest in behavioural science and technology to devise the most sophisticated matchmaking system in the world.
Karma: So you think you’ve got people figure out… with some algorithm?
Cecile: Your personality, your wants, your needs… All of that makes you unique, like a puzzle piece. But somewhere out there is a piece that fits flawlessly with you. An exact complement. A perfect match. Our technology helps sort through the pieces to find yours. Simply put, the human heart is precisely out expertise.
Karma: Sounds like a sales pitch. I’m not so easily won over by the slogans and buzz words.
Cecile: Touche. But we stand by every claim. Give us a chance to convince you, and I promise you’ll be satisfied.
Karma: Well… I’m already here.
She leads you into a peaceful, softly lit room. A sweet, floral aroma and calming music fill the space around you.
Cecile: Welcome to our consultation room. This is where we’ll be conducting our Perfect Match questionnaire.
Karma: Is this the part where I tell you my middle name, my hobbies, and where I went to high school?
Cecile: Nadia sent us the personality profile you filled out, so we already have the basic information we need. Today will be all about finding out what you’re looking for in a match.
Karma: Oh… Okay… So why does this place look more like a day spa than a quiz room?
Cecile: Oh, I assure you, our questionnaire is more than just a quiz. It’s a comprehensive interview, monitoring not just your words, but your biorhythms, your excitement, your emotional engagement… As such, we want you to be perfectly at ease.
She invites you to sit on a reclining chair in the middle of the room, and instantly your mind drifts as you sink into the shockingly comfortable seat. Cecile sits on a chair beside you with a tablet in hand.
Cecile: Simply place your hand on the palm scanner, and we can begin.
You place your hand on the smooth surface of the chair’s arm. It hums and glows, and soon a soft chime sounds in sync with your own heartbeat. The lights in the room dim as your mind drifts, peacefully…
Cecile: Now, relax. Close your eyes… focus on the sound of my voice… and speak from your heart…
Cecile taps on her tablet. You hear her voice from a distance as your eyes close…
Cecile: I have twelve brief questions. Please answer as honestly as you can.
You’re on a first date. Which makes you want a second:
Talking for hours about everything?
Being intrigued and left wanting more?
Karma: Being intrigued and left wanting more.
Cecile: When traveling abroad, your perfect match would rather take you:
To explore ancient ruins, just the two of you
To a lively festival, bustling with locals
Karma: To explore ancient ruins, just the two of you
Cecile: You’re transported into a fantasy novel. Which character is more attractive?
A magnetic ruler, leading and inspiring the people
A silent, formidable warrior, fighting evil from the shadows
Karma: A silent, formidable warrior, fighting evil from the shadows.
Cecile: Your favorite childhood playground is being torn down. Your perfect match:
Takes you there for a farewell picnic
Steal you a piece of it to keep forever
Karma: Steals me a piece to keep forever.
Cecile: Who do you imagine your partner hung out with in high school?
A close-knit group of friends
A rowdy bunch of outcasts
Karma: A rowdy bunch of outcasts
Cecile: Your match appears in a dream with an animal companion. What kind is it?
A fierce, wild hawk
A loyal, noble golden retriever
Karma: A fierce, wild hawk.
Cecile: Complete the sentence. My perfect match can always:
Makes me laugh until I cry
Say the right thing to comfort me when I’m down
Karma: Say the right thing to comfort me when I’m down
Cecile: What would your ideal partner sing during a karaoke date?
A love song dedicated to you
A ridiculous theme song, just to tease you
Karma: A love song dedicated to me
Cecile: Your perfect match has just defeated a supervillain. What do they do next?:
Righteously condemn the villain’s actions
Spout a witty catchphrase
Karma: Righteously condemn the villain’s actions
Cecile: Your travel plans have fallen through. What does your partner do?
They point blindly to a map, and plan a new adventure on the fly
They have you covered no matter what, backup plan and all
Karma: They have me covered no matter what, backup plan and all.
Cecile: How would your partner clear out a building full of zombies?:
They devise a brilliant plan and execute it flawlessly
They charge in, guns blazing!
Karma: They devise a brilliant plan, and execute it flawlessly.
Cecile: You’re at a casino, and your partner is winning big. Why is that?
They take big risks, and it pays off
They’re savvy and calculating, and play the odds
Karma: They’re savvy and calculating, and play the odds.
Cecile: You’re doing wonderfully, Karma. We have enough to find you a suitable match, but first, I’d like to ask if there’s anything in particular you’re looking for… I’m going to list a few traits that your potential match may possess… Let me know if any of them resonate strongly with you. For those who prioritize physical intimacy, we have many candidates with massage skills. We can refine our search to animal lovers and pet owners, who are often compassionate and kind. If you’re drawn to creative, artistic souls, we can match you with musicians. Last but not least, many people seek the culture and intelligence of someone who speaks many languages. Which of these appeals to you?
Karma: I’m looking for someone with a magic touch.
Cecile: An excellent choice. Would you like to distinguish your preferences further? Remember, there’s no shame in being picky when it comes to love. You’re absolutely worth it.
Karma: I’m fine with my selection.
The lights in the room brighten, and you are suddenly aware of your surroundings again. Cecile looks up from her note-taking and smiles warmly at you.
Cecile: That concludes the questionnaire. Not so bad, was it? Based on your responses, we’ll determine which of our sixteen personality types best describes your Perfect Match. I’ll have your results in a moment…
Cecile taps on the tablet before turning it to show you the display…
“Your perfect match is an Activist… - mysterious, rebellious, sincere, logical - … Someone with passion, drive, and vision, an Activist fights to change the world… and will fight just as hard for you!”
Karma: Wow. Just like that? Are you sure this type is the match for me?
Cecile: Skepticism is completely understandable. But I encourage you to trust the system. I think you’ll find that our system may surprise you.
Karma: Well… I guess I could give it a shot. So… What next?
Cecile: Next? Simply leave the rest to us. We’ll find the most compatible partner for you in our database and arrange your first date. You’ll be hearing from us soon!
Karma: Sounds like a plan. And what happens after that?
Cecile flashes you a wink.
Cecile: Why, true love, of course.
You step out of the Eros building into the brisk night air, the New York City skyline towering above you.
Damien: Made it out of the Mystery Company in one piece, huh?
Karma: Damien? What are you doing here?
Damien leans against his old muscle car, pulling his jacket tight against the cold.
Damien: Check your phone, lovebird. I called you a couple times. Wanted to make sure you hadn’t joined a cult, or bought a timeshare or anything… And also offer you a ride home.
Karma: You just wanted the dirt on this Mystery Company, huh?
Damien smiles.
Damien: Wow… You know me too well, Karma. Come on.
Soon, you’re watching the city lights streak by through the passenger window of Damien’s car as you catch him up on your day.
Damien: So, really… this Eros thing. You’d think you’d just swipe left and right like other apps. No, you know, go to a day spa for a fancy interview.
Karma: Maybe it’s a little… unconventional, but it seemed legit to me.
Damien; Unconventional is an understatement. But hey, whatever makes you happy.
Damien pulls the car to a stop outside your apartment building.
Damien: … I actually mean that too. I want you to be happy.
Karma: Oh, really? No sarcasm this time? No snarky retort?
You catch Damien’s eye as a slight smirk spreads across his face…
Damien: Despite my unflappably cool facade… I do have the capacity to care about someone. Occasionally.
Karma: Don’t get sappy on me now, Damien.
Damien: Wouldn’t dream of it.
One afternoon that weekend, you’re lounging in your apartment when a knock sounds on the door. You open it to find…
Nadia: Karma! I’m guessing you haven’t left your apartment today.
Karma: What makes you say that?
Nadia: Because if you stepped outside, you would have noticed this on your doorstep!
Nadia hands you a pristine display of flowers with an envelope attached! You open the card inside…
Karma: It’s from Eros! ‘Dear Karma, True love awaits! We’ve found someone special for you, and have already arranged your first date. At the end of the night, we’ll survey you both separately. If you both feel a connection, you’ll be declared a Match! You need only come with an open heart… and leave the rest to destiny.’
Nadia: Well, I came here hoping to ask how your appointment went, but I guess I have my answer! I remember when I got my letter from Eros… I was so excited! This is gonna be amazeballs! Right?!
Karma: I think there better be a money-back guarantee.
Nadia: Ugh, you’ve been hanging around Damien too much. Let yourself be hopeful! This match they’ve found is going to be great for you!
Karma: Let’s hope so. The details on the card say that Eros has scheduled our first date… For tonight!
Nadia: Wait, what? We’ve got to get you ready!
Soon, Nadia is leading you on a last-minute shopping trip. She pores over the card from Eros as you browse through outfits.
Nadia: Tonight could be the start of your beautiful, perfect love story, Karma! You’ve got to make a good impression! Luckily, Eros has you covered!
Karma: What do you mean?
Nadia This card from Eros includes some style suggestions based on your Perfect Match’s taste! Perfectly tailored to impress him!
Karma: They can do that?
Your cousin pulls an outfit from the rack…
Nadia: This one! It fits the suggestion perfectly! Try it on!
Karma: I think I’m just going to go as I am…
Nadia: Well… if this person really is your perfect match, they should love you regardless! I trust in the system!
As the afternoon goes on and the sun starts to set, you finish prepping with Nadia… When a sudden knock at the front door sounds! You hurry over to the living room with Nadia in tow!
Nadia: Ohmygod, ohmygod… He’s here. Answer it, quick! Tonight will be the start of your beautiful storybook romance!
You try to calm your cousin as you open the door…
Karma: Relax, Karma. It doesn’t have to be a ‘storybook romance’. No one is expecting this night to be--
Hayden: Hi, I’m Hayden. You must be Karma….
Karma: I… um… wow.

Kasamatsu x Kise - Remember When... 1
Where It Began
Kasamatsu Yukio is your everyday, regular college student. Meaning he's exhausted all the time and most likely starving himself. His major is Commercial Music, meaning he gets to learn all about the music industry, not just playing songs. Even so, he has a backup of being in the medical field. It was a choice to please his parents, not so much because he wanted to choose that. Kasamatsu lives in an apartment with his closest friend, Moriyama Yoshitaka. They went to high school together and were on the same basketball team, with Kasamatsu as the captain. After all, they went through together on that team, they chose to stick together and remained close after that. Moriyama's major is undecided, due to his main focus of getting a girlfriend, or at best, just flirting with girls. No matter how many times Kasamatsu tries to get him to be serious, it just doesn't click in the woman-obsessed mind of Moriyama. Currently, the two roommates were sitting on their couch watching a movie. It was a boring movie to match the boring Tuesday night, but they were honestly glad about it. They'd gotten all their school work done on time Monday night, just to have their classes canceled the next day. So, they hadn't don't much that day and were slowly getting tired, due to the boredom. Well, Moriyama was at least. Kasamatsu was going through a sleepless patch. He'd only gotten about 2-3 hours at best each night for nearly a week. He wasn't sure why, but he just couldn't sleep. He tried and tried, but it only ended up with him being pissed off. “Hey Yukio, I'm gonna head to bed.” Moriyama's statement brought Kasamatsu out of his zoning as he stared at the TV. His voice had hints of sadness as if someone let him down. “You sure? I thought you were going on a date with that girl you met at the cafe?” “She just canceled on me...” “Again? Man, I'm sorry.” Kasamatsu wasn't sure what else to tell his friend. It was common for the male to get a date, only for her to cancel later on. The slightly-taller black-haired male was good at flirting with girls and getting a date with them, just not actually going on dates with girls. Even so, he was still better than Kasamatsu's stuttering and panic attacks he had when he tried to even talk to a female. “The next one will actually go out with me! I know it!” Moriyama stood up triumphantly. It was like he truly thought what he said would happen. “Sure... Uh, good luck with that.” “You should get a girl too. I'm sure it'd make you happier.” “I don't need a girlfriend.” “Then a boyfriend?” Moriyama had to dodge a pillow thrown by the now annoyed Kasamatsu. He didn't like talking about his love life, due to it being practically non-existent. “Go to bed!” “Yes, yes! Goodnight!” With that, the male went into his room, leaving Kasamatsu alone with the still playing movie. It wasn't like they were really watching the movie anyway. So, not wanting to hear the terrible acting any longer, Kasamatsu turned off the TV, since silence was better than the crappy film. So, now that was done, the male was ready to head off to bed... to just lay there and be pissed off, but before he could do anything, Moriyama burst out of his room, his door slamming against the wall, almost denting it. “What the hell!” Kasamatsu snapped as he turned towards his friend, angry rather than surprised. “I've been invited to a party. Get ready, you're coming with me!” “No, I'm not.” “Yes, you are.” The firm voice caused Kasamatsu to sigh, as he knew he'd lose the argument now. So, extremely reluctantly, Kasamatsu retreated to his room to get ready. He ended up choosing a plain black t-shirt with jeans. Not anything special, but it made him look hot, which was what he was going for. “There shouldn't even be a party on a Tuesday...” The blue-eyed male muttered bitterly as he changed his clothing. He wasn't happy about going, but he would be damned if he didn't look nice while being forced to be there. “True, but there's going to be a lot of cute girls, so who cares?” “...Of course, there will be. Just don't go crazy.” “I'll do my best.” That'd been a lie. As soon as he saw a hot blonde, he was gone. The other male had no chance of finding Moriyama in the crowd, so he decided to at least go and get a drink. Hell, maybe it'd even help him get to sleep... or relax him enough to talk to a girl. “Hey there.” Kasamatsu turned to see a beautiful man standing next to him. He had shoulder length dyed red hair and almost sparkling blue eyes. They went perfectly with the kind smile on the equally kind face looking down at him. Kasamatsu was concerned by how he found another male attractive, but he'd already known he was interested in both females and males. He had a specific type though. He'd normally gravitate to ones who were serious, but anyone at parties on a Tuesday was most likely not his serious type. So he knew that unfortunately, nothing would go on with this beautiful man. “Hi.” Came Kasamatsu's monotone response after a few moments of just looking at the male. “My name's Phoenix.” “That can't be your real name.” The male chuckled at Kasamatsu's retort as he nodded his head. The black-haired male had to admit, the other guy's laugh was very cute. He quickly sent that thought away though. No matter what, Kasamatsu wasn't the type to recklessly sleep around. “You're right there. My actual name is Damien. Do I get the privilege of knowing your name?” “...Yukio...” “I see. Well Yukio, you're quite the looker. Mind if I get you a drink? You do drink right?” “That's what I'm over here for.” The annoyed tone of his voice was completely overlooked as the redhead began to laugh in response. “You're funny!” Damien laughed as he handed Kasamatsu a drink. He had a smile on his face as he watched the black-haired male drink it all down quickly. “I wasn't trying to be funny.” “Oh? I guess you just have a natural talent for humor.” That caused Kasamatsu to frown. If he was anything, it was unfunny. Painfully, unfunny in all honesty. He was the complete serious type and it was clear to all who knew him. It was even clear to anyone who even looked at him long enough. So, it was at this point, red flags were raised. “What's going on?” The black-haired man questioned as he looked at the still smiling taller male. Kasamatsu began to feel a little nauseous at that moment, so he honestly didn't want to speak for too long and his words didn't hold the amount of annoyance he wanted them to. He was also confused about how he got so drunk so fast, it wasn't like him at all. “Just making conversation with a hot guy. Isn't that okay?” It was unsettling for some reason, so Kasamatsu chose now to end the conversation. He opened his mouth to speak but found he couldn't. Along with this, dizziness came and difficulty to focus on thinking up words to speak. He realized he couldn't move and he was hit with the crushing realization that made him feel like an idiot. He wasn't drunk like he'd thought he was, he'd been drugged. “Wh...What...” “Oh? You understand it now? It took a while to take effect. I made it myself so I wasn't sure how it'd go.” Damien chuckled and wrapped an arm around Kasamatsu's waist. “Come on, let's go have fun. Try to fight if you can, it'll make this more fun.” The red-haired male licked the side of the drugged man's face with a creepy and disgusting smile. If Kasamatsu could have, he would have been throwing up due to the action. Damien led Kasamatsu away from the drinks table and out of the party area. He was led to an empty car and was shoved against it while the man unlocked his car. Kasamatsu was in a daze and was very confused. He couldn't believe no one stopped them and was pissed Moriyama was nowhere to be seen. He would definitely have to kick his ass after he could move again. “We're going to go now. Be a good boy and remain still in my car. It's old but new to me, so I don't want it damaged.” Kasamatsu realized the car's door was now open and he was being pushed inside of it. He could do nothing as the red-haired man buckled him in and kissed the top of his head. “You've been such a good boy so far, keep it up and you'll get a reward when we get home.” All Kasamatsu could think was how badly he wanted to headbutt the man or punch him, but paralyzed, he could do nothing but glare. Before Kasamatsu even knew it, they were driving away and almost out of the parking lot of the party venue. They were about to turn onto the main road when a flash of yellow appeared and something slammed into the hood of the car, halting it immediately. The sudden stop resulted in Kasamatsu flying forward and smacking his forehead against the dashboard in front of him. The force was enough to cause the already dizzy and drowsy male to begin to slip into darkness. So, with that, Kasamatsu fell into black laced with severe head pain. ~ Hours flew by without Kasamatsu's knowledge and when he finally woke up, he was incredibly confused. He remembered going out with Moriyama, but that was it. All he knew was his head hurt like a bitch and he felt sick to his stomach. “You're finally awake. Thank the gods, I was about to call an ambulance.” It was Moriyama hovering over him as he spoke, causing Kasamatsu to realize he was laying on their couch in their living room. He moved to sit up but was stopped by his friend. “Don't sit up yet, you might get sick and I don't really want to clean that up. Do you remember anything?” Moriyama had a worried look on his face, causing concern to rise in the confused male. “No?” His throat was dry and hurt when he spoke, causing his response to only be raspy and full of pain. “You were drugged Yukio! I went off to flirt and you got caught up with some guy.” Moriyama explained what happened all the way up to there Kasamatsu got his head injury. “Some blond guy stopped the car and pulled you out of it. He said he'd been watching you and explained the situation to me. Your face was almost completely covered in blood, it scared away the girl I was talking to!” “I don't remember any of that... So, I was almost taken away by some dude?” “That, and you have a giant cut across your forehead.” Moriyama finished speaking, and then surprisingly reached out and pulled Kasamatsu against him for a hug. “Yukio, you almost disappeared. You could have been sold or murdered, or...” “This is why I hate parties.” “I'm so sorry, it's all my-” “It's not your fault. I shouldn't have been so trusting. I must've let my guard down, he was probably really hot. That was on me.” Kasamatsu pulled away, leaving him to sit up now without the support of his friend. However, he was suddenly hit with dizziness and had to slowly lay down to avoid vomiting on Moriyama. “I don't really feel good...” “We don't know what kind of drug that guy used. We should take you to a doctor.” Moriyama's suggestion was shockingly smart, for once. Kasamatsu had to just agree instantly due to various reasons. The reasons were that he felt seriously sick and who knows what kind of side effects he was going to be having from the mysterious drug. He could even die if it was serious enough. So, fighting the sick feeling, Kasamatsu went and changed his clothes. Moriyama had to help with his shoes, but after that was the truly hard part. The elevators were only half of the hard parts to come, meaning the car ride was the other half. Neither black-haired male wanted Kasamatsu to get into the moving box while he felt so ill, but he wasn't strong enough to walk down two flights of stairs either. Eventually, Kasamatsu and Moriyama made it down to the ground floor, with no vomiting incidents. Even so, the blue-eyed male couldn't promise to not throw up in the car as they drove to the hospital. He certainly hoped he wouldn't, but above all, he hoped he would be alright and not die due to the drugging. He couldn't afford to take too much time away from his classes, so he truly didn't want there to be any serious problems with him. He knew he should be more worried about whether or not he'd die, but somehow it made him feel better to focus on the classes he was missing rather than his own life.

Next Chapter     Masterpost
I didn’t expect it to happen as quickly as it did. I was on the road towards the city when I got a call on my phone. I had it plugged into my radio so I had to pull over and answer it. I didn’t have this number in my phone after all.
“Hello?”
“Skylar? I’m one of dave’s friends. He told me to call this number.” I relaxed a bit then.
“Oh. Cool. What up?”
“Have you been to the region border recently?”
“No… Why?”
“We heard a rumor that the barricade fell. Something about an immortal and some kid hunters.” I stopped then and soon smiled.
“That insane man…. Hang on!” I quickly got my bluetooth earpiece on and connected it. I turned around then gunning it.
“I know who they might be talking about! If it’s true then we seriously owe those city boys.”
“They were city boys!?”
“Yep.” I kept going and soon drove straight through it laughing.
“It’s legit!!”
“No way!”
“Yes way! I just drove through the damn thing!” I pulled over then before pulling a u turn and hitting the road again. The suspension on my jeep made it a lot less bumpy for sure. I drove right back through smiling.
“Tell dave and the others the way is clear.”
“Got it hon. Where you going to be?”
“I’m hitting the city. I’ve got some city boys to catch.”
“Got it hon. See you around.”
“You know it.” I hung up then and soon just took off for lestallum. I couldn’t wait to talk to them again about this.
Sadly they weren’t in lestallum. I found some friends of theirs who knew where the boys went. I took off after thanking them and just smiled. I had a feeling those boys would have found out about Wiz’s chocobo post at some point. I set off for there happily. I loved the place growing up. Chocobos were awesome creatures and fun to ride honestly. I knew exactly where it was and soon pulled in. I could see regalia but the boys weren’t inside. I hopped out then despite the rain and ran up to Wiz. He smiled when he saw me.
“You’re a few minutes too late hon. Some new hunters just took the deadeye hunt.”
“Let me guess, some cute boys and one wanted to ride them?”
“How did you know?”
“They’re friends. I’m going to back them up.”
“Let them keep the bounty?”
“You know it.” He chuckled then.
“Go on then. Damien’s missed you hon. Been a month since you’ve come by.” I smiled then.
“I got trapped inside the wall for a bit…. How big is he now?”
“Go see before helping your friends hon.” I nodded and ran over. He was inside the stables with the others. Damien was originally almost ivory but after feeding him some interesting berries, he was now a dark blue. He had grown a good foot since I last saw him. I could easily ride him now. He even had the saddle on. He came to the door when he saw me and I petted him.
“Hey… Been a while. I missed you.” He made a noise then and nuzzled my hand. I just smiled and moved closer and gave him a kiss on the head.
“I’ll be back. Mama’s gonna help some boys kill deadeye so you can play outside ok? Then we’ll go for a ride. I’m sure he’s got some hunts.” He chirped then and nudged me to get going. I laughed then and gave him a slight ruffle before running. I had to catch up to those boys.
The good news is that even if I wasn’t a hunter, I could have followed. Deadeye left one hell of a mess to mark his path. I quickly set down it and listened. I could hear someone further ahead plus Deadeye getting pissy. The Behemoth was such a jerk. He almost got me killed one night by chasing me through the forest. Good news is I know hiding spots. I stopped by one and smiled. I could see the boys ahead of me. Deadeye was by the old metal tunnel leading to the next part of the forest and they were going to use it to sneak by. They let Prompto go last and I got an evil Idea. I adjusted my gear and once I knew it was clear, I slid into the tunnel. Prompto was making just enough noise to cover me as well.
They had no clue until I grabbed his ankles making him fall. The others looked back ready to fight but quickly froze.
“Skylar!?” Ignis was sure as hell shocked I was here. I waved and Prompto looked back. He was panicked.
“Did you really have to do that!?”
“Um… No. But it was fun! Now let’s go! I’m your backup in case this goes south!” We crawled out and I quickly gave him a one armed hug.
“You’re not hurt are you?’
“Nah. Just scared me.” Noctis smiled then.
“What brings you here?”
“Dude… This is home territory. I don’t need a reason. Plus wanted to talk to you.”
“About?”
“The checkpoint into the region.” They all shared a grin then and I grinned back.
“You did a lot of hunters a huge favor by taking it down. Got a call about it and the word’s being spread about the city slickers kicking niff ass.” We started walking then, me staying close to the back smiling.
“Nice…. So why help us?”
“Um… Cus I want to? It’s not like I need the hunt. Plus… Last time I took it, I ended up getting chased till past dawn out here. Not really wanting to do that again.” Prompto cringed then.
“Yikes…”
“Yeah. He’s a nasty bugger for sure.”
“Nothing we can handle.” Noctis sounded so confident. It was kind of cute honestly.
“Well listen to that. The king’s confident in taking down an asshole Behemoth.” Gladio chuckled then and I knew Ignis smiled. Noct looked back but he was smiling.
“And it seems once you’re in home Territory, you really don’t hold your tongue.” I shrugged then and pushed ahead to get even with him.
“Home is home. I don’t fake around here. I grew up in these parts so most everyone knows me.” he nodded then.
“Wanna tell more?” I smiled then.
“Left around here for middle school. Went to a public school inside the wall…. Um… been solo since like… 14. Lived in liede until about a year ago…. Rank seven hunter.” I could see the shock in his eyes then. I just smiled.
“What? This weapon isn’t for show after all.”
“I figured but… you’re that good?” I shrugged then.
“It’s been rough. Had my share of close calls. One most recently with this jerk.” Gladio looked back then.
“You came after him? Alone?”
“Wasn’t supposed to be alone. I was trying to find his lair with another hunter. We got separated and Deadeye snuck up on me. Ran till dawn when I found the road and got back to Wiz’s. Other hunter couldn’t help. He got lost. Come daylight he showed back up.” I jumped up onto a rock then and smiled. They were shocked for sure but I didn’t care. I could hear him. It was faint for sure but he was around. The fog coming down didn’t make using eyes a good idea after all.
“He’s away from us, I assume?” Ignis said. He was keeping his voice low. I slid down and nodded.
“He's going to the old ruins. We’ll have to play hide and seek for a bit but we can get there and catch him. Once in there it's not easy to leave.” They nodded then but let me take the lead. Before the gate, I ran. I knew these woods. It was usually so calm around here and decent hunts. Finally we reached it and I quickly dropped down. The boys followed easily but then I had to pin noctis to the rock close by. Deadeye was in front of us.
“Shit….” I nodded feeling my smile come back. This was going to be fun.
“Leapfrog. Rock to rock. He's blind on the left. Use it. No noise.” Gladio gave me a look but I quickly took off. He was moving. It would cover for me.
She was fast. Even if she was a bit odd, skylar knew her job. The others weren't sure so I followed her. She was quick but always stayed in sight. The fog was only getting worse for sure the further we went in. It got sketchy at few times. She tripped over a small rock and quickly scrambled to hide while we did the same. The behemoth knew he was being followed. After that, it got more tense. We couldn't always keep an eye on him so skylar had to be our lead. Finally though, we broke through into ruins. She had her sword ready and let Gladio take the lead. I went to follow but she got my arm and stopped me. I looked over and she smiled.
“I know you punks have elemental abilities. Who’s got the fire?”
“Why?”
“What do you think blinded him? There's old oil drums around here. If he gets over one, explode it. It'll be our best chance to get him weak enough to land some serious blows.”
“How do you know this?”
“Cus I saw others trying it. Just trust me….. Gods you four are paranoid…”I shrugged then. Better to be paranoid than be dead in my mind. She just sighed and followed Ignis quickly. I got the flask ready and followed.
He knew. He was up on a ledge above us and jumped down. We all backed away and quickly Gladio went into action. Prompto was giving cover fire while skylar backed up gladio. She wasn't as strong but she was doing some damage. She made openings that Ignis took advantage of and slowly got him over a barrel. I figured I would try her advice.
“Move!!!” The guys jumped back but she couldn’t. I had to throw it. It landed on the barrel and the explosion was big. It knocked over the guys but then we rushed him. At least I tried until Prompto came flying into me. We both were off our feet but I felt someone catch us and the relief of a potion.
“Stand up you idiots!” I looked and Skylar was still on fire. She dropped me and jumped going right for Deadeyes face! Prompto got up and helped me up stunned. It didn’t last though. He was on his last leg and soon it gave. Deadeye fell dead. We all stopped then before we celebrated. That was insane!
“Um…. Help!?” I froze then. That was skylar. Gladio moved with Ignis then by his head and prompto and I followed. She has gotten a leg stuck under his head and couldnt get free.
“Big bully!!!!” Gladio chuckled then and quickly pulled her free. She yelped but soon got on her feet huffing before giving him a solid kick. I laughed then.
“Was that needed?”
“Yes! He landed on me! I was trying to shoot his other eye! Blind the jerk….” I stopped then. She didn’t have a gun. She walked away then and came back with a crossbow. She was checking it out before folding it backup and putting it on her back. Ignis smiled then.
“A lady of many weapons…. We do owe you some thanks. Your fire tip did help.” She shrugged then getting into her bag. She crushed something and we all got healed. He gave her a look and she smiled.
“Can’t help it…. Mega elixir.” She flashed a new one making Gladio chuckle.
“Sure you wanna be solo? We might need the backup later.”
“Get real muscles…. I’m happier alone…. Now…” She smiled then sheathing her sword.
“Let's go ride chocobos!!!” Prompto cheered with her and I laughed. Soon we found the way out and headed back to the post. She had someone she wanted Prompto to meet.
We got back to wiz’s about sunset. He was shocked for sure but quickly paid the boys while I washed off my arms in a barrel. The healed burns were still tender but it was barely anything. Soon Wiz came over and held out a key.
“Wanna let him out?” I nodded then taking it.
“I’ve missed riding him. Mind if…?”
“You know the rules. Havens near by. Feel free to leave bella here. She’ll be safe.” I nodded and ran to the stable. Damien was so happy to see me but nothing beat it when I got the door open. He ran into me and quickly let me on. I led him out and Prompto almost dropped his camera. Noctis was shocked.
“They come in dark blue!?” I laughed then petting his neck.
“Nah. Won these berries in a race. Changed my baby to this color….. Boys. Meet damien!” He crowed then making them laugh. Prompto came over and petted him gently.
“How….?”
“Rescued him as a baby. Mom had been killed so I brought him here. Wiz helped me raise him and well… Now he’s my baby!” I hugged him then happy. I’ve missed him. I heard a click then and I looked. Prompto got a photo of us. He turned so I could see it.
“Oh nice angle…. Mind…?”
“I’ll have a print the next time I see you.” I cheered then. He laughed and Noctis came close. Damien sniffed him and he just smiled.
“You leaving?”
“Yeah. There's other hunts close by. I’ll be hanging out between here and lestallum for a while.” I saw gladio nod then as he came up behind the prince.
“Call if you need backup. We won’t mind. You helped us out against that behemoth.” I shrugged then.
“I prefer solo…. But if I get kicked, I’ll call…. Or if I find some cool ingredients.” Ignis perked up then and I smiled.
“I know of a ginger. It's hard to get to… but if I head that way, I’ll get you some.”  He nodded then smiling.
“It would be appreciated. Our spices currently are rather lacking.” Wiz laughed then smiling.
“I’ll point some spots out to you boys.” They all smiled then and while they went to talk to wiz, I loaded my pack up and made a saddle pack for damien out of bella. Right as the sun died, I took off while they camped in the caravan. I was ready to be home again.

Perfect Match, Book One: Chapter 1 - True Love, Guaranteed
(NOW PLAYING AS KARMA)
Nadia waves over a handsome man from across the room…
Karma: He’s too good to be true… what’s the catch? Comeon. Be honest. There’s gotta be something wrong with him. Secret criminal past? Crippling gambling debt?
Nadia: No! Nothing like that!
Karma: Then what’s your secret?
Nadia: I met him through a matchmaking service. They asked me some questions, then found the perfect man for me! They’re very exclusive. Super selective with their clientele. But I’m sure they’d accept you in a heartbeat!
Nadia reaches into her purse and hands you a business card.
Nadia: You should try them out!
Karma: True love, guaranteed? Sounds amazing. Sign me up!
Nadia: Yes! I was hoping you’d think so!
Karma: Are you kidding? It sounds great!
Just then, a voice calls to you from the crowd.
Damien: Looking good, Karma. Next time warn me when you plan to show up dressed like a celebrity. I would’ve brought my good suit.
Karma: Not so bad yourself, Damien.
Your good friend Damien saunters over, seamlessly switching his empty champagne glass with a fresh one from a server’s tray.
Damien: And don’t tell me Nadia has got you drinking this ‘matchmaking service’ Kool-Aid too. You of all people don’t need some fancy matchmaking service.
Just keep your guard up, Karma… Maybe bring pepper spray, or hold your keys like a claw.
You follow Cecile through the pristine halls of Eros Incorporated.
Karma: I’m still a little overwhelmed by this whole thing. How can you guarantee true love?
Cecile: A good question. Love is a complex thing. But here at Eros, we’ve used the latest in behavioural science and technology to devise the most sophisticated matchmaking system in the world.
Karma: So you think you’ve got people figured out… with some algorithm?
Cecile: Your personality, your wants, your needs… All of that makes you unique, like a puzzle piece. But somewhere out there is a piece that fits flawlessly with you. An exact complement. A perfect match. Our technology helps sort through the pieces to find yours. Simply put, the human heart is precisely our expertise.
Karma: Really? Sounds like exactly what I need!
Cecile: So glad you feel that way! I can assure you, we’re just as excited as you are to help you find your match.
She leads you into a peaceful, softly lit room. A sweet, floral aroma and calming music fill the space around you.
Cecile: Welcome to our consultation room. This is where we’ll be conducting our Perfect Match questionnaire.
Karma: Is this the part where I tell you my middle name, my hobbies and where I went to high school?
Cecile: Nadia sent us the personality profile you filled out, so we already have the basic information we need. Today will be about finding out what you’re looking for in a match.
The lights in the room dims as your mind drifts, peacefully.
Cecile: Now, relax. Close your eyes… focus on the sound of my voice… and speak from your heart…
Cecile taps on her tablet. You hear her voice from a distance as your eyes close…
Cecile: First, some general questions. I’m going to show you six images. Tell me, which of these most closely resembles your preferred look in a match?
(Look 1)
Cecile: Wonderful. Next I have twelve brief questions. Please answer as honestly as you can…
One - When traveling abroad, your perfect match would rather take you… To a lively festival, bustling with locals.
Two - On a road trip with your partner, you’d prefer someone who… Trades anecdotes and engages in lively conversation.
Three - You’re transported into a fantasy novel. Which character is most attractive… A magnetic ruler, leading and inspiring the people.
Four - Who do you imagine your partner hung out with in high school… A close-knit group of friends.
Five - Your match appears in a dream with an animal companion. What kind is it… A fierce, wild hawk.
Six - Your partner is facing an unbeatable enemy. What strategy do they use… Fight dirty.
Seven - You have to be apart for a few months. Your perfect match… Sends you memes.
Eight - Your perfect match has just defeated a supervillain. What do they do next… Righteously condemn the villain’s action.
Nine - What would your perfect match give you for your birthday… Something they noticed you wanted but hadn’t asked for.
Ten - Your date orders cocktails for you at a bar. Which do they choose… A trendy new menu item that food critics are buzzing about.
Eleven - Your travel plans have fallen through. What does your partner do… They have you covered no matter what, backup plan and all.
Twelve - How would your partner clear out a building full of zombies… They devise a brilliant plan and execute it flawlessly.
Cecile: You’re doing wonderfully, Karma. We have enough to find you a suitable match, but first, I’d like to ask if there’s anything in particular you’re looking for… I’m going to list a few traits that your potential match may possess. Let me know if any of them resonate strongly with you. For those who prioritise physical intimacy, we have many candidates with massage skills. We can refine our search to animal lovers and pet owners, who are often compassionate and kind. If you’re drawn to creative, artistic souls, we can match you with musicians. Last but not least, many people seek the culture and intelligence of someone who speaks many languages. Which of these appeals to you?
Karma: The animal lover. My match must love animals.
Cecile: An excellent choice. Would you like to distinguish your preferences further? Remember, there’s no shame in being picky when it comes to love. You’re absolutely worth it.
Karma: I would like them to possess all of those qualities. Why settle for anything less?
The lights in the room brighten, and you are suddenly aware of your surroundings again. Cecile looks up from her note taking and smiles warmly at you.
Cecile: That concludes the questionnaire. Not so bad, was it? Based on your responses, we’ll determine which of our sixteen personality types best describes your Perfect Match. I’ll have your results in a moment…
Cecile taps on the tablet before turning it to show you the display…
Your perfect match is a… Leader - Outgoing, rebellious, sincere, loyal.
Brave, perceptive, and confident, the Leader is often turned to in times of crisis. As a romantic partner, this perfect match’s charisma can inspire in even the most challenging of times.
Karma: Wow. Just like that? This is just my type! I’d love to find someone like this.
Cecile: Glad to see that the system is working as intended!
Karma: So… What next?
Karma: Oh, really? You just wanted the dirt on this Mystery Company, huh?
Damien smiles.
Damien: Wow… You know me too well, Karma. Come on.
Soon, you’re watching the city lights streak by through the passenger window of Damien’s car as you catch him up on your day.
Damien: So, really… this Eros thing. You’d think you’d just swipe left and right like the other apps. Not, you know, go to a day spa for a fancy interview.
Karma: Maybe it’s a little… unconventional, but it seemed legit to me.
Damien: Unconventional is an understatement. But hey, whatever makes you happy.
Damien pulls the car to a stop outside your apartment building.
Damien: … I actually mean that too. I want you to be happy.
Karma: Oh really? No sarcasm this time? No snarky retort?
You catch Damien’s eye as a slight smirk spreads across his face…
Damien: Despite my unflappably cool facade… I do have the capacity to care about someone. Occasionally.
Karma: Don’t get sappy on my now, Damien.
I remember when I got my letter from Eros…. I was so excited. This is gonna be amazeballs! Right?!
Karma: I think it’s going to be great!
Nadia: You’re right! It is! Positive thoughts, Karma! Send that out into the universe! This match they’ve found for you is your destiny!
Karma: Let’s hope so. The details on the card say that Eros has scheduled our first date… For tonight!
Nadia: Wait, what? We’ve got to get you ready!
Soon, Nadia is leading you on a last minute shopping trip. She pores over the card from Eros as you browse through outfits.
Nadia: Tonight could be the start of your beautiful, perfect love story, Karma! You’ve got to make a good impression! Luckily, Eros has you covered!
Karma: What do you mean?
Nadia: This card from Eros includes some style suggestions based on your Perfect Match’s taste! Perfectly tailored to impress him!
Karma: They can do that?
Your cousin pulls an outfit from the rack…
Nadia: This one! It fits the suggestion perfectly! Try it on!
Karma: Alright, alright…
Nadia: Ugh, slay, Karma!
Karma: I’m guessing that’s a good thing?
Nadia: Good? No. That outfit is perfect!
As the afternoon goes on and the sun starts to set, you finish prepping with Nadia… when a sudden knock at the front door sounds! You hurry over to the living room with Nadia in tow!
Nadia: Ohmygod, ohmygod… He’s here! Answer it, quick! Tonight will be the start of your beautiful storybook romance!
You try to calm your cousin as you open the door..
Karma: Relax, Nadia. It doesn’t have to be a ‘storybook romance’. No one is expecting this night to be--
Hayden: Hi, I’m Hayden. You must be Karma…
Karma: I… Um… Wow.
Thoughts on the episode…
Okay well first of all… creepy and suspicious as hell. I can’t believe Damien was the only one who was like… ‘what on earth…’ Everything about this screams dodgy. How did Nadia even find Eros in the first place? I mean, for our MC, sure - we have Nadia’s results convincing us to do it (even though Steve is a freaky robot and we can tell straight away,) but what did Nadia have? She just went for it.
Speaking of Nadia, annoying. I would love to just cut her out of the story completely. She’s too BLLURGGHHH, you know? So enthusiastic about absolutely everything. I can’t imagine what her art looks like. Probably really cheesy, basic stuff like Thomas Kinkade. Nothing edgy or cool. You could definitely buy a snowglobe with Nadia’s artwork in it.
I know that Hayden is a robot, but defo gonna smash. Like. He’s our perfect match, wiring or not. I mean, I know that Damien is there too and as soon as we get the option to seduce I shall absolutely be doing that because he is a fine piece of cartoon ass, but… where’s the fun if I can’t doodly do with the robot?
Also, shoutout to Cecile who is the hottest character at first glance I have ever seen from Pixelberry. I mean, I know she’s probably an evil lunatic hell bent on destroying us once we uncover Eros’ secrets, but still. I’m shallow and she’s hot.

WKM: 20 Years Later.
3)
Abe and Lottie had walked and talked their way back into town, Abe doing most of the talking, explaining what got him into crime solving. Although he seemed too caught up in his own narration to really care Lottie was next to him, she kept a yard away from him on the sidewalk, still weary of whether to trust him or not. He seems agreeable now his gun wasn’t pointing at her, but something was nagging at the back of her head, telling her to get far away from him as soon as possible. Damien was constantly pulling Celine away from Lottie, telling her not to keep harassing her with too many thoughts. Celine was acting aggressively concerned, as if she trying to keep a small child from walking onto a busy road.  “He’s not to be trusted!” she shouted at Damien, “We heard his crazy mumblings, haven’t we? Every time he visited the house, always whispering to himself, swearing revenge on Will. He’s gone mad over the years. And if he finds out who Lottie is… I can’t let this happen. She can’t stay any longer with him!” Damien stopped her before she could touch the back of Lottie’s head again. “Stop it!” he pleaded, “I know you’re concerned for her safety, but you can’t just keep throwing thoughts into her head. She has her own mind, and we’ve seen she can fend for herself… She wants information and, unfortunately, he’s the only one who can give her what she needs to know.” Celine scowled. “She probably knows more than him, he’s such an arrogant idiot.” “Well, let her discover that for herself.” Damien suggested, “You can try to lead her in certain directions, when she’s lost, but no brainwashing her into doing what you want. It’s not fair. Ok?” “They all died, sadly.” Abe continued, flicking idly through the concertina of photographs in his wallet, “Each death more tragic than the last.” Lottie was baffled and a little fearful as she asked, “So, why didn’t you just stop getting partners sooner, if you knew they’d all end up dead?”  “I can’t solve all the crimes by myself.” Abe explained, “I gotta have a backup, someone to divulge with, and get all the possibilities out in the open, incase anything should happen to me.” He sighed sadly, “You right though. I shoulda realised that I had a curse in some way. And my last partner made me finally come to terms with that.” “Why? How did they die?” “They didn’t, that’s the odd thing. They just sort of disappeared. That seems to me the most tragic thing to happen to a partner.” He glanced at Lottie and saw her overly concerned expression. He chuckled and said, “Don’t worry. I’ve learnt my lesson. No more partners.”  Thank goodness, Lottie thought to herself. If he had suddenly turned around at that moment to asked her to be his next partner, she would have gladly jumped over a wall and ran far away.  “But yeah, that’s me.” Abe said with a shrug, “Now, what’s your story?”
Lottie sighed and began, “I’m trying to track down my parents. My mom had me until I was one, but she disappeared after… whatever happened on the night the Markiplier killing. So, I was put into an orphanage. It was fine at first, they raised me ok until I was 11, and then they moved me to a care home for older kids… I didn’t have such a good time there. And I was never adopted, sadly; I lived my whole life orphaned until I was old enough to leave and find my own living at 18.” She took another sigh, realising how depressing her life story actually was, now she was hearing it out loud. “It’s been hard to keep a job, or a place to stay, but I think I’ve found a stable living for now. So, while I’m in the local area, I decided to try and see what happened to my mom and dad.”  “Your mother was involved in the events at the manor?” Abe suddenly pressed, “How?” “She was the wife of Markiplier.” Abe suddenly stopped walking, Lottie stopped too and looked to him. His brow furrowed more as his blinked; he was clearly confused. “Wait.” He said, rubbing his eyes roughly, “You mean… Celine, the seer… had a kid with Mark? How the hell did I not know this! Me and Mark were friends for ye-.” “Oh no, I’m not Mark’s child.” Lottie interrupted, “Celine was… having an affair with Colonel William. I’m his daughter, not Mark’s.” Abe’s eyes widened slightly, then blinked his shock away, realising Lottie would notice it.  She continued, “I think that’s probably why my mother took me away from the house. I suspect that she never told Mark and was scared of the consequences if he found out. But why she never came back, I don’t know. There is the possibility that… she died, but that’s not a certain fact. So, I want to find her. Or at least find out what really happened to her.” “And… what about your father, the Colonel?” Abe pressed seemingly intrigued. She shrugged, “I don’t know. I suspect my mother took me to his place after she left Mark, but I’m not sure. I can’t find anything anywhere that tells me if they even lived together.” “Maybe he had other relatives he lived with.” Abe suggested, “Do you know if there is anyone else related to the Colonel? Anyone who could help you find where he is?”  Lottie felt a small cold feeling crawl up her spine as Abe looked at her keenly. She only now realised how he kept one hand through his coat to press against his gut, like Napoléon Bonaparte. He must have an old wound, she thought, but why is he fascinated in the Colonel? Did the Colonel do something to him?  “I’m not sure.” Lottie said cautiously, “I don’t really much care for him. So, I didn’t do as much research on him as I did for my mother.” That was a lie. She had done just as much, if not more, studying for him. It was easier to list his achievements, that was for sure; she managed to find his military records, and all his expeditions into the unknown seemed worthy enough to be printed in the headlines of the local newspapers of his time. But Abe seemed suspicious now. She had to be careful what she said. Abe sighed in disappointment; he thought he was nearly onto something. “Ah well,” he huffed, “sorry if I don’t have anything new that helps you find them. But I have to say, you seem like you’re on the right path to finding something big. Maybe, working together, we could find more clues as to their whereabouts.” Lottie stopped again and crossed her arms. “I thought you said, ‘no more partners’!” she said with a raised eyebrow.  Abe shook his hands at her. “Oh, no no no.” he corrected himself, “No more partners, you’re right. I mean I could be your partner!” Lottie’s eyes widened. “You? You be my partner?” “Yeah.” Abe said with a goofy smile, “I mean, I’m a qualified detective. And I have connections. Connections to people who can help the both of us. I’ll.. have to do some seeking out though, to try and find them, but once I find them, you can ask them if they have anything that could help you.” “Why do you want to help me so bad?”  Abe paused for a hesitant moment. “Erm… because I want you to find your parents. Your story is really sad, yet encouraging… You know? After all you’ve gone through and yet you still have the determination to find the answers. I wanna back you to the hills!” Wow, Lottie thought, was my story really that sad? For someone like him, someone who’s lost nearly every person he’s worked with to a horrific tragedy, to say that she was the one to be pitied… it felt sadder in a way. But oh well, one man’s walk in the park is another man’s bridge of death.  Suddenly Abe thrusted a small card into Lottie’s hand. It was a business card with his name and a phone number printed on, to which the phone number was scribbled out with a pen and new one was written above it. “Call me tomorrow.” He said eagerly and he started quickening his pace away from Lottie.  “Wait.” she called out in confusion, “Where are you going?” “Back to my office.” He called back, still striding away, “I’m going to try and track down the people who I think can help us. Call me tomorrow and I’ll tell you if I have anything! See you soon!” And he disappeared around the corner at the bottom of the hill, into town.  Lottie stood still for a moment, slightly baffled by what just happened. She stared at the card he gave her, at the number written down.
She ended up staring at the card again the next day, as she was writing down all the events of what happened in her book. Looking back at everything, Lottie grew more and more excited. Soon she’d get some answers. This was all turning out to be a lot easier than she imagined. A little too easy.  She headed out of her flat to the landlady’s office downstairs, asking if she could use the phone. Once she got to the phone she dialed the number on Abe’s card. The first dial tone hadn’t even finished before there was an instantly answer.  “Hello?” Abe’s answered quickly. “Hi. It’s Lottie.” “Great! I’ve been waiting for you to call all morning. I managed to find someone who can help us. Someone who’s still in the area too, which is lucky.” Lottie was happily surprised. “Wow. Great! Who is it?” “An old employee of the manor, who was there on the night of the killing. I’ve met him before. Bit of an intimidating thug, but he wasn’t the murderer, which is a good thing.” “Yeah. Great(!)” Lottie said with a sarcastic tone, “Where abouts is he.” “He’s the head chef of a restaurant at the southern end of town, west just before the highway. If we head there now, it’ll still be open. We can question him there.” “West of the highway?”  “Yeah… Why? Is that an issue?” Lottie bit her lip. “…No. It’s fine. It’s just… never mind.” “Yeah, I know. The place is a little rough. Just stick with me, you’ll be fine. I’ll meet you at the southern center of town in an hour. Is that ok with you?”  Lottie hesitated, but finally agreed and hung up. She headed back to her room. She took her time getting the things she needed, but she lingered every now and then, thinking worryingly to herself. She knew the southern end of town was rough, she had spent all her life there; that’s why she was scared of it. The orphanage was there. All the people she had grown up with were there. Probably some of the younger meaner kids were still there. The careless yet strict staff were there. He was there…  But Abe would be there too. And he was armed; he could take care of anything. And it’s not like any of the staff would care enough to try and meet her again. It’ll be fine. And all the other kids had moved on too; they were probably in some other part of the country by now. It’d be fine. Just breathe. It’ll be fine. Breathe. Just breathe. It’ll be fine. It’ll be fine.
“Lottie?” Abe’s voice made her jump. “You ok?” he asked calmly. They were standing outside a rather rundown looking restaurant; it looked more like a converted warehouse than a restaurant. “Do you not want to go in?” Lottie shook her head and took a deep breath. “No, I’m ok. I’m fine. I just… need to catch my breath.” Abe’s brow furrowed. “You got asthma, or…?” “No. Anxiety.” Lottie told him, “I need to calm down sometimes. Things get easily overwhelming for me.”   “Oh. Ok. We can wait if you want.” Lottie shook her head. “No, I’m fine now. Let’s go.” She walked ahead of the detective and opened the door about an inch, before suddenly it opened itself. “Bonjour!” A very tall, stern-faced man in a suddenly slipped out from behind the door. He wore a spotless waiter’s uniform, even a pair of equally spotless white gloves. “Welcome. It’s still a bit early for the dinner menu to start, but I can serve you drinks while you wait. How many of you are eating tonight?” “Erm… We’re not eating sorry.” Lottie nervously told him. “Oh?” he hummed in a pertly attitude, until he saw Abe standing behind her, to which his expression, as stone-faced as it may have been, dropped to a scowl. “Oh.” “Well, isn’t this a turn up for the books!” Abe announced, stepping past Lottie to look angry face to angry face at the waiter. “Fancy you working with the same guy all over again. I thought you and the chef both hated each other. Or is this like a love-hate relationship or something.” “It’s bad luck, in my opinion.” the waiter replied in a deep stern voice, “It’s not like either of us wanted to be here.” “Wait.” Lottie interrupted, “You know each other?” “Know each other?” Abe pointed at the waiter and said, “This stuck-up bastard was the butler back at the manor, Benjamin! One of three employees who worked there for over 10 years,” he squinted angrily at the waiter, “and one of the suspects of Markiplier’s death.” Lottie gasped in delight. “So… you were at the murd-“ Abe and Benjamin shushed her up hastily. “Don’t say that word, please.” Benjamin said quietly, “anything, but that word.” Sighing agitatedly, Abe said, “Never mind this pointless talk. Where’s the chef?” “He’s in the kitchen, but I wouldn’t interrupt him. He gets… restive before the dinner rush.” “I don’t care what kind of vegetable he’s getting! We need answers now.” Abe headed towards the kitchen, the waiter following him to try and stop him.  Lottie caught up to Benjamin and asked, “Were you really there at Markiplier’s death?” “Unfortunately, so.” “Then, would you mind sticking around and answering a few questions too?” Lottie asked politely. “I wouldn’t bother with him.” Abe interrupted before the waiter could answer, “He’s about as useful as a candle without a wick!” Abe reached the beaded curtains that covered the doorway into the kitchen. As he entered, Benjamin turned away, wincing, like he was bracing for an explosion. Lottie paid no mind and walked in after the detective. “No!” Benjamin yelled as she walked through, “He’s not-!” “STAY OUT OF MY KITCHEN!!” Damien pushed Lottie to a side. Lottie stumbled, just as a knife flew past her shoulder and stuck into the wood of the doorway.
