three ships: ah, oof. idk what to answer this based on, so I'll go with three ships that I've read a lot of in recent history: Zoscar (Zolf/Oscar from Rusty Quill Gaming), Marvin/Whizzer from Falsettos, and Dream/Hob from Sandman. (That also quite neatly sums up the different mediums I primarily follow now, heh.)

first ever ship: okay wow this took me back! Probably Dannyl/Tayend from the Kyralia series by Trudi Canavan. It was reading them during The Traitor Spy trilogy that helped my baby ace self first see the appeal of shipping. (man, I miss those books :') )

last song: probably Epic II from Hadestown. Was listening to that on repeat while baking earlier (I canNOT get enough of "the pickaxe flashes / the hammer falls" and the music during "king of mortar / king of bricks" <3)

last movie: 18 Pages, although tbh the movie was just an excuse to meet up with some lovely folks for the first time in yearssss :)

currently reading: mostly fanfic of late, but I'm also attempting to wrestle my attention span into letting me finish What Matters In Jane Austen by John Mullan. It is a delightful read digging into how Regency society functioned in order to better appreciate just how brilliant Austen's writing is, and I am LOVING it.

currently consuming: is this about food? media? idk, but I just finished dinner so my answer's going to be uppudu pindi with avakai. (I am. very telugu in some ways, yes.) (avakai is the most basic mango pickle and I have no idea how describe the former, so take my word for it when I say it is the superior low-effort comfort meal.)

currently craving: some direction in life would be nice, but I'll settle for some piping hot chocolate slab cookies. tried baking some earlier but they turned out brittle instead of chewy since my baking soda stabbed me in the back :(

4: Tell me about one of your abandoned WIPs. Why did you abandon it?

SoRiku Mermaid AU! With Riku as the mermaid! It was one I really wanted to write, and I knew exactly where to take it (hopefully in a different direction than people usually do with mermaid AUs), but I never got past the first couple of chapters. Thinking about it now, I abandoned it because I never knew what to do with the Riku's POV sections, and I should just stick to Sora's...

In general, I abandon fics if they're longer than a oneshot, but don't have quite enough chapters to have a proper arc.

9: Are there any fics you’d love to see but don’t want to write yourself? What are they?

This is hard because I generally don't read a lot of fic myself! In general, (and I know I'm bad for this myself) more wlw ship fics - more Domijeanne would be great. I think they're a cute ship, but I just don't have the ideas for them. It's incredibly niche but I'd love more fics of Dannyl and Tayend from the Black Magician's Trilogy too!!

17: What has been the proudest moment for you so far since you started writing?

I'm going to stick to since I started writing FIC specifically with this one: I have a few fics that I've orphaned because I want absolutely nothing to do with the fandom or creator. BUT I still like attention, so I'll often check back in on the kudos count/comments to see what's happening. I found one near the beginning of the year where someone said they'd been in a really bad place, but waiting for the updates on that fic was a contributing factor in not doing anything drastic. Having such an effect on someone else's life is incredibly humbling and special and important. So that's up there.

On a less serious note, having Waking Life as the second most kudos-ed Vanoe fic is also awesome.

Was the underlying reason Stiles could understanding Derek so well Telepathy? You mentioned their being telepaths in the story once. But was that more a racial ability as opposed to a magic he could use?

I am assuming this is about Actions :) And no, he’s not telepathic (legit almost wrote “telepathetic” because of an inside joke |D) 

Stiles wasn’t really any different from anyone else except he had the advantage of exposure. Derek felt broken when he was around people so he tended to avoid them, but he was in charge of keeping Stiles safe (even if he decided that on his own) so he couldn’t run and hide from him. Stiles had more exposure to Derek than anyone else and made an effort to understand him because of it. 

I think there’s also a bunch of other contributing factors, including the blood pact, the lowkey mates, the emissary connection, the fact that Derek was literally Stiles’ best friend, and even that Void had latched onto Derek as “their” wolf. So all of that together with Stiles’ constant exposure to Derek’s unique manner of speech made it easier for Stiles to get used to all of the expressions he made and helped him understand him more. 

He didn’t get him 100% of the time (see when Stiles cut himself in the Yukimura’s kitchen and proceeded to snap at Derek for freaking out) he just worked harder at it than most so he could understand him at least 95% of the time :)

Hot take: Lord Osen is also queer. He knew the rumours about Dannyl and his relationship with Tayend were true and encouraged him to ‘cherish and enjoy’ their ‘friendship’. He also gave Dannyl the perfect excuse to leave Kyralia and live in Elyne permanently where his gayness wouldn’t be used against him.

This only a week after Lorlen died. Lorlen who he was obviously in love with. If this isn’t queers supporting queers idk what is.
