Or maybe He was too rigid.

Your power had grown in due time, surpassing everyone else's. Sent to the past now, when the Devildom was still adapting and unfiltered. He'll do anything to get your attention during his rut even eliminate others in his competition. These are one of the only times Bimet will open his own wallet and spoil you because all he wants is your body and to monopolize all of your time.

What are Sloth Sans/Demon Sans Powers; relationships; what is he like in the other runs???

Ok, let's talk about Demon! Sans!

The embodiment of idleness, he's the predator of many emotions and states linked to this sin, such as apathy, depression and resignation.

His preferred strategy is to lower the enemy's stats (DEF, ATK, HP, etc) so he can finish them off with a single strike or, better yet, let their body slowly die while he lulls their soul into an endless dream.

We've already talked about his use of illusions (music/ hypnosis) to charm and disarm his victims, dreams being his preferred hunting ground, and one of his unique ability (your personnal sleep paralysis demon), but he's just as much of a threat in real life!

He gradually deprives them of the desire to attack or defend themselves, amplifying the fatigue (physical and psychological) and sense of powerlessness, of helplessness hidden deep in their souls.

A word of advice, however, to intruders venturing into his Snowdin territory: if you stumble upon his collection of ice statues or a suspicious pile of snow, keep walking and don't touch anything.

If he's in a playful mood or if his victim has upset him, he takes great pleasure in awakening their traumas by peering into their unconscious and projecting nightmarish hallucinations. Making them super aware of their situation is also effective: they can't defeat him, and even if they could or if he decided to spare them, only death and more pain awaits them at the end of their journey, by the hand of another Lord or bc they're litteraly in hell.

However, his habit of granting a “peaceful death” is viewed as merciful compared to the other Lords (or cruel and messed up by others)

I'll focus on the relationships showed here

Gluttony - His brother. He practically raised him and supports him to this day, going so far as to share the territory where they grew up (Snowdin). Demons tend to avoid such close ties, as it can become a weakness, but the Skeleton brothers are a rare exception, having proven time and again their ruthlessness.

Lust - They don't usually interact but Lust suspects he's hiding something from the other Lords. + there was the time he teleported in his sleep onto the set of Lust (live broadcast), putting everyone in the audience to sleep. He doesn't remember but Mettaton might hold a ti~ny grudge.

Pride - A combination of distrust and disapproval of some of the King's past decisions. He remains loyal to him, but doesn't mind the distance between their respective territories.

Wrath (former) - Lord from the past generation. He was close to them and received a lot of help from both him and their skeleton friend. Both disappeared overnight, their names erased from the archives as Undyne took on the now vacant role. He can't openly look for them bc of the King's order, but he assumes they must have found a way to hide somewhere…

Frisk - The kid that somehow managed to become friend with his brother and is now cosplaying as an imp. He has no interest in directly harming them, only playing tricks on them and witness how far they can make it with that puny soul.

Other runs:

This part is still a WIP since I've mostly worked on a "neutral route" so far lol Also, Demons are, well, "bad", so the genocide run requires more reflection

Neutral:

Mischievous and willfully neglectful, he tolerates Frisk and the player on his territory, but doesn't go out of his way to help them since his brother is already helping.

Pacifist:

Still playful and unbothered, but Papyrus has told him all about Frisk's adventures and how they became friends with other Demons. He is curious and may appear at randoms moments in the run to help the player (tell them about a secret passage in Waterfall or come and play an instrument for Lust's show and put the whole audience to sleep).

.Gives Frisk a bone instrument (a very tiny violon) to celebrate their friendship and shares some secrets with them, like the origin of the bells on his and his brother's horns and how hell used to be before the Queen left.

Genocide:

Same as neutral until he kills Frisk for the first time. He'll trigger a blizzard on the next playthrough to block the door leading to HOME, trapping the player in the empty ruins to observe their reaction. If the player manages to find another way out (or force their way out), Sloth will appear to them only as illusions, asking what they are and mocking them for thinking they can defeat what is already dead, nonetheless sans is willing to watch them try.

.Observes and creates illusions along the way to hinder Frisk. He reveals that sinners can't escape hell until they're freed from their sins, and that the player will undoubtedly end up in the hands of Pride, the King and Demon who rules over those with egos as big as the player's (=that's why he and the other Lords are just toying with the player, they don't see them as a real threat and nobody wants to double-cross the King anyway).

.He's not that bothered by the actions of the player, they're demons and it's hell after all. He might even enjoy watching this more than the pacifist run at first....

Hm.... Actually, maybe I should rename these. Something like : Redemption or Sinner route idk the expectations are different from canon UT, Demons are USED to killing and stuff. Even if one of them die, a new demon reappear. No, the real surprise would be if someone tried to do good for once, wouldn't it?

Now that all of the Kings of Hell have been added to the game, I am wondering who is your ultimate number one Demon King? Taking into account his design, personality, and voice, which one do you like the most?

More Demon! Reader stuff cause I can't stop thinking of them.

Remember how in my last post [this one] I said I'd talk about demon culture and their habits? Well this is the post for it! Also this DOES go into Demon! Reader's backstory so this is a very lore important post!!

Basically think of the demons in this AU as cats. Very dangerous cats. They can purr, they can chirp, but they can't meow. They tend to stay together in packs, which I'll get into soon. They're a race of shapeshifting beings that are particularly fond of causing chaos and collecting things.

Why are they called demons? Because all of them are born with red pointy horns and a devils tail. Though the tails and horns differ between each 'class' of demons. Also because they are born in hell.

What are the Classes of demons? Think of them as the 7 sins, Lust, Gluttony, Pride, Envy, Sloth, Wrath, and Greed. Each class has a 'Leader' that acts as a Ruler [like a king or queen] and they each take up one of the 7 (Of 8) rings of hell.

Now you might be thinking 'Why 8 rings of hell and not 9 layers?' and that's simply because I don't think they needed any more than 8 rings. Why am I saying rings and not layers? Because when I think of this version of Hell I've made I think of them like they are Planets in a Solar System.

All 7 rings represent the 7 sins right? So where did this 8th one come from? The 8th ring, the one they all circle around [it's basically the sun in this hell solar system], is essentially purgatory. If a soul doesn't fit into one of the 7 sins, or a demon doesn't feel like they belong, they move right into that ring [or planet].

It's a really nice place though, not much fights or all that other stuff. But let's circle back to Demons and their packs. Remember how I said they each have a leader that represents them? The leaders are referred to as the embodiment of the sins itself. And what I mean by this is that there isn't technically a royal bloodline in the demon world. The title is won through a fierce battle, which is different for each ring of hell.

For some rings it's a battle to the death [Lust, Wrath]. For others it's a competition, like who can get ___ in ____ amount of time, or how long can you do ___ while ___ happens [Sloth, Pride]. Though for some its a test of skill and they'll have someone judge you on how good you are at doing something [Gluttony, Envy]. Though one just straight up doesn't have a battle at all and it all depends on how well you can keep this crown [a special crown made to let others know who the ruler of this ring is] without it being stolen [Greed].

But if you were to ask where Demon! Reader falls into all of this I'd tell you they belong to the ring of Wrath. Heavy is the weight of their claws, all tied down with the blood of those they have slain. It doesn't bother them though. They quite like the feeling they get from taking the life of another living being.

It's not like Demon! Reader actively seeks out bloodshed though, in fact they tend to avoid it because it's such a waist of time. Demon! Reader knows they are a strong fighter, they just don't feel a need to constantly prove it. They'd rather spend their time doing other things, like hanging out with their child [Percy].

Demon! Reader has full on claimed Percy as their child, which is why they are so clingy and defensive over them. At no point in time did Demon! Reader stick around just because of the blood bond. Don't be silly, Demon! Reader only stuck around because they saw how pathetically sad this kid was and felt the need to adopt this crying child as one of their own.

It was like a switch was flipped for Demon! Reader. Why should they kill this human [like they normally do] when he'd make such a fine demon? There are ways to turn humans into demons after all. It's not such an overly complicated thing to do because as long as both souls are willing then BA-BAM! Human to demon done just like that.

Can this be un-done? Well...yes? But only if someone else takes on the 'curse' of being a demon. Buuut Demon! Reader isn't too worried about that. They know Percy would be more than ecstatic to become a demon and get away from the Wayne Manor [and everyone else in it]

The Fuck's Up With Mammon?

Ok, so, in the grand history of Christian folklore, there are dozens of different ways that the society of Hell and its various demons can be structured. One of the most popular is The Seven Princes of Hell, which divides Hell between seven ruling demons, each of which represents the seven deadly sins (and is opposed by saints who represent the seven heavenly virtues). It's fun because it's got a solid theological theme and not too many working parts - seven is a more digestible number than nine or, like, however the fuck your sort out all the demons in the Lesser Key of Solomon, each of which has some arbitrary number of legions of demon soldiers under their command, and the deadly sins theme gives you a clear way to make each prince's domain stand out.

(Obviously I'm a bit biased here, since I used a modified version of the Seven Princes of Hell for my own story about demons, but still, I think the point stands.)

Now, who the seven princes of Hell are can differ. Binsfield, the guy who coined the name, lists them as follows:

Lucifer, Prince of Pride

Mammon, Prince of Greed

Asmodeus, Prince of Lust

Leviathan, Prince of Envy

Beelzebub, Prince of Gluttony

Satan, Prince of Wrath

Belphegor, Prince of Sloth

However, there are earlier versions of the seven princes that rearrange things. Beelzebub has been given the sin of Envy at times, Belphegor has been given gluttony, and both Belial and Abaddon/Apollyon have taken the role of prince of Sloth. With me so far?

Right, ok, so here's the thing: ALL of these demons have shit going on in folklore outside of their role as potential princes of Hell. Well, all except one. To wit:

Lucifer, despite being a translation error, quickly became the front-runner in the grand race of "Who is THE Devil in the Bible, i.e. the leader of Hell itself?" It helps that said translation error was made by King James in his version of the Bible, which, while a terrible translation, is an amazing piece of poetry in its own right and beloved by many Christians because of it. Notably, Lucifer is The Devil of Paradise Lost, which is up there with Dante's The Divine Comedy in being one of the most important and influential depictions of Hell of all time.

Beelzebub is one of the oldest demons in all of demonology, predating Christianity itself, and is pretty close to Lucifer in the race for "Who is THE Devil," with arguably a better claim to the position despite Lucifer being the more popular candidate for the role.

Satan gets kudos for being one of the few devils that's ACTUALLY named in the Bible... even if it's less a name in context and more a title akin to "prosecuting attorney." Because of that, he's arguably got the greatest claim to being The Devil, and in most works where a different devil gets the title, Satan is treated as one of his alternate titles anyway.

Asmodeus was set up in folklore to be The Devil, and has a pretty strong claim to the title because of that. He's also clearly what Dante based his description of the devil's physical appearance on, with his three different colored heads and all, and that gives him some major props.

Leviathan is also a rare demon who gets mentioned in the Bible, although in the Bible it's pretty clear he's not a demon but rather a big sea monster, and a lot of Christian folklore treats him as such instead of as a demon. So that's a pretty big "other thing going on" for him - sometimes he's not even a demon, but more of a godzilla.

Belphegor was mentioned in a good number of texts predating the concept of arranging demons by the seven deadly sins, and while he was mostly a minor demon (akin to most of the other residents of the Lesser Key of Solomon, like Shax or Marchosias or what have you), that's still something. Becoming a Prince of Hell gave him a greater claim to fame, but still, he had a career before it.

Abaddon/Apollyon is one of those demons whose name is ALSO a synonym for Hell itself, which is a pretty big deal. He can be a demon, or he can be hell, or he can be BOTH, like in the takes where Hell has a literal mouth to swallow sinners and is portrayed as kind of a living monster in its own right. He also got to be The Devil in Pilgrim's Progress, and that's pretty cool.

Belial is one of the absolute earliest demons, having been cast as The Devil in the Book of Enoch, which is kind of the O.G. Abrahamic demon story (as much as any written story could be the source of it, anyway). Thus, while Belial may not have the most popular claim to being The Devil, he arguably has the best claim to it, or at least the earliest. Also, Belial is just as often depicted as a lady demon as he is a male demon, which means Belial is the best candidate for a Princess of Hell.

But that leaves... Mammon. And as far as I can tell in all my research, Mammon's claim to fame is and has always been being the Demon of Greed. Like Lucifer, his existence is owed to a translation of the Bible personifying something that was not originally a person - "mammon" was just supposed to mean money and other material wealth, but then it became, well, Mammon, the demonic personification of Greed.

He's the demon who was made for his sin, rather than being given it after his creation. The only demon whose existence purely hinges on needing a personification of a sin, the only one who has no other shit going on. Lucifer, Beelzebub, Asmodeus, they all have rich histories as demons in folklore, but Mammon? He's just greed.

And that's weird to me. Were there no other, more popular demons who could embody the concept? How does Mammon feel having nothing else to him beyond his sin? It's kinda weird, right?

I've got no greater point to this, I just thought it'd be fun to share.

Lucifer

Lucifer's biggest insecurity would be his scars.

Lucifer regularly tells himself how perfect he is, but every time he looks in a mirror and finds his body littered in scars from battles long lost and won, from playful (and not so playful) fights with his brothers, from simply accidentally hurting himself, anything, it reminds him he isn't. Lucifer always covers even the smallest of scars, hating not being that perfect being. Perfection is his biggest flaw.

Mammon

Mammon's biggest insecurity would be his greed.

The knowledge that he would sell anything and everything for money. He knows it's not good. He doesn't want it to be this way. He hates being called a scumbag and an idiot and every insult his brothers hurl at him. He just can't control it. His greed controls him.

Leviathan

Levi doesn't really have a biggest insecurity. The answer would probably be everything.

He isn't as naturally knowledgeable as Lucifer. He isn't as charming as Mammon. He isn't as quick of a learner as Satan. He doesn't have Asmo's perfect body. He isn't strong like Beel. He couldn't choose not to care like Belphie. He is envious of everyone, insecure about anything.

Satan

Satan's biggest insecurity is feeling like a copy.

He can't stand that he was originally Lucifer. Everything he is came from his brothers. Not just Lucifer. Beel taught him how to work-out. Asmo taught him how to do his make-up. Levi taught him how to play games. Mammon taught him how to get under people's skin. Everything he is, everything he has, is because of his brothers. He's not a real demon, he's a creature of wrath molded by his brothers.

Asmodeus

Asmo's biggest insecurity is his ability to love.

Ever since the fall, all he's felt, all he's known is lust. It hinders him. Nudges it's way into his every thought. Is he even capable of love anymore? Can he hold the hand of another and feel anything except the need to bed them? It's almost as if Asmodeus doesn't exist anymore. As if all he is is lust. He fears that more than anything.

Beelzebub

Beel's biggest insecurity is his strength.

He was made to be strong. To be a protector. He works hard to keep that up. He wants to be a protector for his brothers. Someone safe for them to be around. But he fears sometimes his strength goes to far. He holds his hands close to himself so that he won't hurt anyone with just a simple hug. What's the point of having strength if all you can do is harm?

Belphegor

Belphie's biggest insecurity is that he believes Lilith should've been chosen, not him.

Ever since they fell, he's been nothing but problematic. At first, when he transitioned with his sin. Then, attempting to kill humans and fight against the exchange program. Then killing the exchange student his brothers cared for so much. Then making Lucifer's every day a living hell. What good did he have to be alive if all he did was cause trouble?

Diavolo

Diavolo's biggest insecurity is that everyone around him is only there because they have to be.

Mephisto was made to be his friend. Made to entertain him when he was isolated at the castle. He forced Barbatos to stay at the castle with him. He made Lucifer swear his loyalty to him. Swear he would stay by his side. What good is a friend if they're forced to be it?

Barbatos

Barb's biggest insecurity is that he didn't do his best with raising Diavolo.

He's proud of what the young lord has become. He's proud of the dream he's realized. But what if it isn't enough? Barbatos has seen demon kings rise and fall. The good and evil. He's seen what his young lord can become. What if, even after all the work to make him the kind-hearted soul he is, it isn't enough?

in 3x01 dean is singled out and attacked by the demonic embodiment of lust, and tamara is attacked by wrath. considering that the demons themselves assessed tamara's personal vice to be wrath, this also draws a connection between dean's assailant and his threesome at the beginning of this episode—aka, the episode is suggesting that dean's vice is lust. but what these two assignments do is set sam up for something more interesting.

sam is attacked by three of the demons: pride, gluttony, and greed. if dean and tamara are attacked by the manifestations of their own vices, then the episode is implying that sam is as well. with pride as the clear leader of the trio, it reasons that pride is sam's greatest vice. this, i believe, can speak to his characterization across seasons 1 and 2. with gluttony and greed standing silent in the background though, there's perhaps an element of foreshadowing.

pride himself gives sam his title "boy king." that draws a clear line between these vices and sam's fate, and therefore the foreshadowing can be realized in his demon blood addiction, which is frequently throughout season 4 referred to as a hunger for power. so gluttony and greed loom in the background of sam's life, promising that he will succumb to those vices inevitably for as long as he continues down the path of fate.

and then ruby, the very embodiment of that fate, appears out of nowhere to save sam from them, seemingly killing all three of the demons. and then she proceeds to throughout seasons 3 and 4 nurture those vices, sweetly coaxing them out and encouraging him down that path. she "saved" him by leading him down the very path he thought he was avoiding. and this is parallel to all the other ways ruby manipulates him: she draws him closer to fate while pretending to push him away—see for example the way she embodies dean, the opposite of fate, and uses that mimicry to pull him toward lucifer. therefore 3x01 serves as foreshadowing for sam's narrative arc throughout the next two seasons as he falls prey to his own dormant vices and ruby covertly nurtures them until they consume him whole.

One of the kings of The Ars Goetia royalty. Asmodeus also holds the position of being the embodiment of Lust in all its forms.

I don't think I've ever given a character a mobility aid before, so I figured it was time to change that.

During the Great Rebellion, Asmodeus was injured very badly by the Arch angel Raphael. Raphael stripped Asmodeus of his beautiful wings and inflicted a terrible wound upon his right leg.

I don't often see people actually add the full three heads to the design, and I can see why. 3 full heads on one humanoid body does look awkward, but you can make it work if you get the grip of overlapping the heads.

I went a little grimdark with the cane idea. Originally, Asmodeus' sabre, now reforged into a cain by Lucifer so he could move around easier.

The cane did not always resemble that of a malformed man. When Asmodeus and the other 71 demons were enslaved by King Solomon, one of the kings closest advisors pleaded to have but a night with Asmodeus. Solomon begrudgingly obliged and forced the deamon lord to become submissive to the advisor. When the demons were finally freed. Asmodeus sought out the grimy little worm and imprisoned his soul into the very essence of His cane.

The fool advisor now lives in constant torment, only being able to witness and unable to feel. Save for the excruciating pain inflicted by holding most of Asmodeus' weight while the demon lord goes about his day.

I didn't draw it, but Asmodeus' symbol is under his navel right above his puss.

I was heavily inspired by @wolfertinger666 and his sick trans men designs that specifically showcase no op trans men. And I fucking love them all!!!😍🤤💜❤️ They have also made me rethink how I design not only my trans characters but my creative process in general!

Right, I should also say that Asmodeus is plural as well, where each head is their own person and experience lust differently.

Modi is the prominent personality and is very classic sadomasochist full mean dom.

Roxy is the very submissive and overly slutty/subby brat one.

And Bev is the chill soft dom who kills you with kindness and double-edged complements/praise.

Asmodeus also spawned and rules over Succubi and Inccubi. He is also quite good friends and loyal to Lucifer and Belphegor, both of whom he was very close to before the rebellion. He also enjoys hanging out with Beelzebub and Brynophet for some friendly chats and afternoon tea.

He is indifferent to Mammon and loaths Satan, Sin of Wrath(Yes, I finally decided)

Overall, the cast is almost ready. Next up is hopefully a decently unique take on Satan and then the main man himself, the Morningstar.

So Terzo being Asmodeus’s favorite is a 10/10 idea, what exact are the two’s relationship with each other like? Are they more or less casual with each other?

They can be casual and sweet with one another, but their dynamic is very dependent on the situation they're in. In this au, Terzo has been chosen as a prophet of Asmodeus. What that looks like for Terzo as a leader of the church is multifaceted, just like the infernal king. Asmodeus can look like the gentle, soft sway of a candle, but he can also be a catastrophic wildfire. Some nights Terzo finds himself leading sex rituals in the demon's name, offering siblings guidance and teachings related to sex, and kneeling at the altar of Asmodeus while he gives him an intimate offering. But Asmodeus is not just an incubus and a demon of lust, but one of wrath and revenge as well. So when Asmodeus' lips brush against the shell of Terzo's ear, he might be whispering sweet praises or growling so deeply that it vibrates throughout Terzo's entire body. Those growls are orders, commands making his voice shake out of rage for the injustice, to burn. For Terzo, that burn often looks like passionate lust towards his work, against all notions that he is doing a bad job. It is an unapologetic and insistent rebellion against the church. Can you imagine how hot the flames were when they cut off his head and paraded it on the cover of a magazine? His relationship with Asmodeus is not always work-related, though. There have been many nights in the demon's altar room or Terzo's own bedroom with the two lying together in the peace the late night always brings. Asmodeus is a heavy, warm weight on Terzo that is constant and grounding. His touch is always hot, but in the same way that the sun is on cold skin. Terzo loves telling him about dates he's had with Omega. He pitches ideas for gifts, future dates, and other romantic gestures to show the ghoul how much he desires and burns for him. Asmodeus always nurtures the passion in Terzo but often reminds him not to burn himself out...
