*The Royal family is sitting down for dinner* *Miranda, hears "Cedric the great coming from the other room* Miranda: Rollie, what is that? Roland: Oh that's just Cedric singing a villain song. Miranda: Oh, I see......wait......Roland, did you just say "villain song"? Roland: Yes I did. Miranda: He's singing a "villain song" right now? Roland: Mmhmm. Miranda: In the other room? As we speak? Roland: That he is. Baileywick: He does this sometimes your highness. I'll go tell him to keep it down. Miranda: You don't have to do that Baileywick. Baileywick: Its no trouble your highness. Roland: Thank you Baileywick. Miranda, look it- Miranda: Roland, I'm being serious right now. Is your royal sorcerer evil? I mean it sounds like he does these villain numbers often? Should Sofia be learning magic from him? Roland: Miranda you have to understand. *gently holds Miranda's hand* Cedric was a theater kid, he can't help this behavior. *gives Miranda's hand a reassuring pat* Miranda: *gives Roland a baffled look as "Cedric the Great" reaches its crescendo*

so, i read your comments and really liked the idea of the glowing mane only when hes attacking- though i have changed it to only be when hes using magic instead, especially longer charging and large range ones, plus i added the details (though the attack examples are still missing)

however .. i still cant decide on which side i like which color best .. (meaning darker upper half and pink on the underside and vice versa)

So much to unpack! I'll go paragraph by paragraph.

He received a gift from the Nightingale family? Was it a gift to him personally or to the Guild? I'm assuming it was to him personally, as it's with him in the bathtub, but then from who?

I'm not surprised that he's so uninterested in the fall of The Propagation after the end of the Herta Station quest, but again, was the book a gift or did he just borrow it from the Guild?

And the IPC gifting him a book about Dr. Primitive. That's more interesting to me because not only does he refer to it as a 'street tabloid' (which is the first time he's shown any kind of disrespect towards a member of the Genius Society) but also, and again, why did the IPC give this to him? Are they also interested in finding more info on Dr. Primitive and so they're tossing articles down to the Intelligentsia Guild to try and find answers?

I love how he 'relaxes' by doing more thinking instead of less, like in his daily message where he asks TB for something to stimulate his brain.

Also, doing some reading and most epsom salts can be effective for up to an hour, which (unsurprisingly) confirms he takes very long baths. I've seen people asking who would be calling him professor while in the bath, but I think it's likely not an actual person given it's a dream.

I also just really enjoy the last little line of dialog as well, it's really easy to forget that Ratio is just some guy under all his intelligence and achievements. He, too, wonders what he's going to have for dinner tonight just as anyone else.

Ghost Train

One day, Boxy finds a large box. One that's connected to multiple other ones in a big line. He moves it around a little, and finds himself enjoying rolling it back and forth. It's a train!

Well, the carriages at least. The locomotive is puffing, but it's not actually moving it. He shows it to Lunch Lady and Box Lunch, who agree with him, but point out that he has nowhere to keep it. He thinks back, and has an idea.

"Look, dude. It's not that I don't have the space but more about how you even got that."

"I found it with my great box sensing powers! And you're a big ol mighty Queen now, aren't you? I sure you'll find somewhere to put it."

"Hm. You got me there. You want a job?"

"No occupation is too great for the Box Ghost!"

"Great! I've decided that you will be the first Infinite Realms Train Conductor! I've been getting complaints about the whole traveling situation, and Wulf can't be making new portals willy nilly without the Observants being royal pains about it. You won't need tracks, so that'll help."

"I won't fail you, my Queen!"

"Egh, don't call me that. But anyways, I need you to go to this one dimension. It has a bunch of souls that need to be taken to the Infinite Realms. Dan and Ellie will go with you."

When I'm thinking about Diomedes's and Odysseus's friendship, I just can't imagine them becoming friends in some normal way. You know, not all these "Oh we have so much in common" or "Tell me about yourself ", no, they definitely had some very weird thing. I don't know, it would be something like Diomedes introducing himself, saying that he is king of Argos and Odysseus being like "Oh, it's my dog's name, it explains why you are barking so much".

And then they were besties.

I think what I struggle with most is that whole “each character has a different voice” thing.

Because in my head and when I write, for me personally, I do think my characters have different voices when talking or like being pov character.

But then I’m thinking ‘but do they really?’

Because I never actively given them different voices. Like I’m aware of some of their quirks but even those I don’t build in knowingly but more instinctively.

I write them without paying much attention to their voice, not actively that is.

So whenever I try to do pay attention and ask myself do their voices sound different or like try to actively make them talk different it feels so off.

So idk I hope that the way my ocs have different voices in my head when I write them translates good enough into my writing because I can’t actively try and make them sound different.

ok i don't usually post unfinished/uncoloured sketches but i hadn't had time to draw for the past several months and my art suffered as a result, and when i did have time to draw i often got frustrated at my sketches

so to finally have time to draw and turn out probably my best lia and randall sketch i've made so far despite the fact i feel so out of practice was very satisfying
