The King is Sealed, Long Lie the Queen!

After Pariah is defeated and resealed, Danny is crowned the new King/Queen. Yeah, he's a guy, but he birthed 2 sentient beings, and that counts as a queen in their books.

After a month long readjustment period, some certain areas of the Infinite Realms feel it's their responsibility to inform the Mortal Realms and uninformed ghosts of the good news!

Anyone death touched past liminality, anchored ghosts and revenants alike, are approached by ghosts and told that they're under new management. The Queen will renew their souls, as long as they can merely be within her presence.

One such revenant, Jason Todd/Red Hood, has been ignorant of this. His fraid, too! That must be fixed.

So, thanks to humans discovering an ancient portrait (commissioned by clockwork until he lost it), they don't mistake Danny as the Ghost King. No, even worse, he's now thought of as the Queen Mother. A widowed Queen Mother or something along the lines of a Targaryen like marriage. (Yes game of thrones will exist if only for my references to work)

Somehow in someway, Constantine is caught slacking and the JLA decide to summon him. Why? I don't know

(An approximation of what I imagine it looks like, I'll draw it once I find the motivation because it seems cool- with star motifs and long-haired Danny with star studded braids and cosmos brocade, baby Dani ,and crowd speculation on game of thrones style siblings relationships or political schemes targeting a lone mother after their king husband's death with a daughter instead of a son and a brother who might not be on their side.) I've been reading many posts about Danny being the Ghost King, Jazz being Queen Mother, Dan redemption, Dani being his daughter, Danny and his clones, summonings, hilarious assumptions and so on. So, I thought why not combine them.

A new Ruler of the Infinite Realms has been chosen and all realms can feel the changes. But not everyone is okay with that because it has been a few millennia since the Tyrant King was sealed and there's suddenly this new ruler that they absolutely have no info on. That won't do for them.

So after countless hours of searching, scrying, seance and not so great attempts at summoning, the finally found a very old spell, written in on the wall of an ancient temple that they can barely read or translate, that have a slight higher chance of success. A spell that can reveal the royal succession lines of the Infinite Realms's throne. So naturally people fought amongst each other to have it for themselves and some of it got lost in translation or destroyed.

But the spell still works, not like how they want it or how the original spell intended to work, but it worked nonetheless so nobody think anything was amiss.

Of course, John Constantine got a version of the spell and had to share it with the rest of JL. The spell he got however only give him the barest bones of the succession lineage such as Royal Hierarchy, Royal Titles, Given Titles, Chosen Name and picture of that they look like. And since John is British the spell use the British royal hierarchy as template, meaning instead of conquest through combat, they think it's bloodline.

Most of the lineage are missing since the rulers were either ended and erased or forgotten, so the only thing that was clear was from Pariah Dark and Kronos (which is a shock for Diana) and downwards. So imagine their surprise when they look at the picture under current King of the Infinite Realms and see a being that looks like a teenage boy looking back at them. They were again shocked when looking below the new king and see a list of deceased male heirs with only one surviving princess.

OK, just wanted to throw this out there. I have seen lots of Jason/Jazz where Jazz is tall as fuck (is it because of Jack's genes or being liminal? I'm just curious on which it is or if its both?) but usualy Danny is also a giant in these stories. Can I just get someone else to see the possibilities of Tank Jazz but with imortal/forever14 Danny?? like pissing off jazz is scary enough, the bats fear her only second to alfred, and the way she talks about her brother, the high king who gained it through right of combat, who will go absolutely feral if you threaten his family, who yes can do the eldrich entity size of a building thing but its honestly as draining if not more as the wail, then one day he just pops up outa nowhere at family dinner night with the waynes dead tired cause he spent last who knows how long at royal court arguing with stupid eyeballs. Sam and Tuck have finals so he dosent want to bug them but he just wants a hug and someone to take care of him for awhile cause he's working himself sick again so Clockwork punted him over with a staybag (including lots of ecto cookies, his favorite star jammies and Bearbert) and a stickynote to Jazz stuck in his hair and everyone else is like "this is him???? this tiny child????" Jason is just happy to finally meet his brother in law who had also set up a house call with Frostbite a while back to fix his pit tainted ecto.

I honestly have always headcanoned Danny as forever 14. At least in his ghost/Phantom form. His human/Fenton form still grows and changes and such. This then causes such a severe disconnect between the two that people just assume that Fenton and Phantom are completely separate entities/people.

Now with tall Jazz I’m going to have to say that it’s a combination of both. Like she had always carried Jack’s height in her genes. It just needed to be unlocked somehow. That’s where being ecto-contaminated and liminal come into play. It just kinda fucks around and finds out honestly. Like the exact science is there she just doesn’t really care about it being there.

I do love the idea of where a very sleep deprived and weary Danny is basically forced into taking a sabbatical by Clockwork and the King’s Council. Jazz being the Queen Mother, is the one most qualified to be able to take care of the little King. And so Jazz does exactly that.

Get in the Water AU: Original Post Ruthlessness

Ghosts were physiologically different from humans.

It was something Tucker and Sam didn't understand. They saw Phantom as "Danny with superpowers," not as a fundamentally different being.

Sometimes, Danny didn't understand either.

But his parents did. Utter disregard for the scientific method aside, the Fentons were the ones who learned how inhuman ghosts were: "Just emotions and electricity imprinted on ectoplasm, Danno, nothing to be scared of!" Snapshots of people at the moments of their deaths. The past and the present, incapable of contemplating the future.

And with his duality, Danny struggled to understand either of his halves.

As a human, Danny could move past his nightmare of a childhood, compartmentalize and think to the future, when he was fully healed and his past couldn't hurt him anymore. So when Dora, first elected Queen of the Infinite Realms - long may she reign - asked him to collect all the resurrected humans for a health check and assessment... when he'd noticed Damian Al Ghul-Wanye on the list... He'd thought up a little prank to pull on his long-lost brother. A cruel one, perhaps, but nothing harmful.

As a ghost, Danny couldn't move on. He could never forget that Sam led him to his death, that his parents negligence allowed for the stage to be set, that the lab they loved so much held both his home and his grave. Just as Danny would always be that fourteen year old, caught in that moments, he was still the 7-year-old Danyal Al Ghul who trusted his brother not to hurt him... and ended up poisoned.

Phantom wanted his murderer to suffer.

And Danny, much to his shame, had allowed it.

For a few weeks, Danny managed to ignore it. He'd gone after Damian first, so there were tons of resurrected on his list. He started with the more extreme cases first, like Constantine, but soon enough the next on his list was Ra's Al Ghul.

He'd asked Queen Dora to send someone else, anyone else. That he wouldn't be able to control himself if he saw his grandfather again. Instead of relieving him, she'd given him a knowing look and told him to follow his core's desire.

She never mentions it, but Queen Dora had been a murder victim too.

There was no showmanship, no dramatic reveal. Just Danyal, his grandfather, and the Pit.

Despite all Ra's Al Ghul's power, he was no match for a spirit hellbent on drowning him.

That's what Danny did to his grandfather. He'd thrown up afterwards, once he was human before. But the ghost in him relished the act; he could still feel Grandfather's throat under his hands, pulse fluttering against his palm as Danyal held him down. He struggled and shook as the Lazarus waters filled his lungs, burning away healthy tissue. Fingernails morphed into claws that sliced through the tender skin, blood leaking into the water, and water leaking into the blood.

It took a long time for Grandfather to die. Deep within Danny, next to his core, he knew it was what was deserved. That the murdered finally had justice. He was content with never speaking of it again, a secret between him and the waters.

And now it was going to happen again as Phantom's impulsive mind overtook Fenton's tactical one.

He'd known Damian was looking into him. Knew another confrontation was inevitable, what with two more of his siblings needing their health checks. But as Danny was stalking their mother, searching for the best way to abduct her (she was still his mother after all, he didn't want her dead... yet), Damian and his family confronted her.

Relief washed over him as only a normal amount of rage bubbled up at the sight of Damian, instead of the overwhelming, all-consuming fury he'd felt. Danny laughed at their arguments, at Constantine thinking he could put a living ghost to rest, at his siblings-unmet and his father-unknown, until...

Damian confessed.

His murderer confessed, yet as he continued to speak, to explain, the fury rose in him again. Because it wasn't a betrayal. He'd always thought Damian betrayed him, but no.

Through his own ruthlessness, Damian gave him the only mercy he could manage. And there was only one thing Danyal wanted now.

It was her fault. She was the reason why he was dead, nothing more than a coward who couldn't go against her father for the sake of her children. She abused them, she struck his brother, it was her fault-

"Danyal," she answered. And Danyal grinned, fanged and sharp.

He approached, the waters of his birthplace lovingly brushing against his legs, consoling him the only way they knew how. They whispered revenge into his ears, madness into his heart, just as they had when he'd confronted Damian, when he murdered Grandfather. "You have much to answer for, daughter of the Demon Head," he said, voice echoing around the room.

Unrestrained greed filled her gaze. "You've returned to me, my son."

Danyal laughed, brutal and rough. "I've returned for you, Mother," he corrected. "Don't think this reunion will end well for you."

"You mean to hurt me, Danyal?" she crooned, all false hurt and fake love.

"I mean to kill you."

Genuine anger flashed across her face. "My son would never-"

"Y̵̺̆o̴̩͂u̸͉̕r̷̰͝ ̴͔͝s̵̡̉o̶̡̎ň̵̞ ̶̗̈i̴̘̍s ̸̦̐d̴̯̚ê̶͚á̶̩d̷̻̈́," he snarled, and Damian flinched. He was too close to Talia. "You wanted me dead... for being weak. For having mercy." He stared up at his mother's shocked form. "I killed Grandfather. Tell me, is that ruthless enough for you, Umi?" Talia flinched with just her eyes. He hadn't been allowed to call her Umi since he was three.

Their father stepped forward, the naked distress on his face contrasting with his battle armor. "Danyal," he plead. "You don't have to do this-"

"Stay out of this, Baba." The man's breathing hitched. "This doesn't involve you."

Constantine tried to talk him down next. "It does, kid. A Siren on your level can't stay around for long. It's time for you to rest."

Danyal threw back his head and laughed. "As if you could stop me, exorcist." No more delays. It's time for action. "I will drown you all before you can."

Danyal lunged. And despite his mother's decades as an assassin, she couldn't kill what was already dead.

He held her down by the throat, the attacks from Damian's family bouncing off him. "This is mercy," he cooed as she desperately clawed at his hands. "For me. For Damian. For everyone you will try to hurt in the future. Ruthlessness is the only mercy I can give you now." Her face turned red as she gaped for air and Danyal-

Was thrown back into the water.

Reorienting himself, he found John Constantine standing over his mother, protecting her from him. "̷̪͂E̷̺͐x̷̝̑ŏ̶̺ȑ̴͉c̷̟͘i̸͔̋s̶̮̀t̶̯͝."

And the Pit's water began to rise.

Danny phantom gets punted into the DC dimension and goes absolutely mother hen on EVERYONE.

This guy is so worried about them he gangs up with batmans kids to get him to consider therapy, buys Billy Batson snacks and new clothes, gives the Flashes really super high metabolism granola bars that he made himself, brings back the queen family's arrows from where they got left around the city, stuff like that.

He eventually kinda becomes the DC's guardian angel of superheros as they start to realize he's visited and helped all of them (they dont really know how to feel about the fact that he seems to know most of their identities but they can't really do anything about that)

Best part is? He's doing it as fenton. No one knows he's a ghost, they just think he's Some Dude.

Teenage Protector Spirit Things

It's an intervention. Or at least that's what one Jasmine Phantom, Queen Mother of the Infinite Realms calls it. Danny thinks its just another one of her attempts to get him to go on a vacation.

It wasn't his fault that the backlog of paperwork from Pariah Dark's ruling took him centuries to do. He wanted to surprise Jazz with an empty desk free of paperwork today but the Fenton luck strikes again. When the observants saw the final paper being signed, they finally decided to tell Danny about the other mound of paperwork that started piling the moment he was crowned.

Jazz was understandably unhappy with this revelation so she (with Clockwork's help but don't tell anyone) decided the only reasonable thing to do was to kidnap Danny, dump him in a world full of superheroes with nothing but a parting message written on a stickynote.

"Forget about the crown and its responsibilities. Do your teenage protector spirit things"

No responsibilities and he can finally fulfill his obsession after a long time? Sign Danny up.

I like the idea of GhostKing!Danny being probably the oldest, wisest and most diplomatic person in the room full of superhuman beings but decides to keep quiet because he gets enough of that in the Infinite Realms. Let the boy? Man?? Elder??? Be a teenager again.

Jazz went to Gotham to finish her degree away from her parents, as their obsession with Ghosts started becoming dangerous to everyone. So, of course, she brought Danny with her, so he's also far away from them and the GIW.

Danny held out a whole year without going out on patrol, just establishing his haunt in the new city. Lady Gotham was very happy to be able to show them to their new place, almost giddy that the little King and his Queen Mother have come to live in her beloved city.

Of course, the first time Phantom floats out of his window and into the night, he has a new suit, made of padded black leather, and a fluffy white cape with a hood (imagine the Lightkin Cloak from Destiny2, but snow white, rather than black and grey), along with a facemask engraved with a fanged design. New haunt, new look, and the new look fit right in with the viciousness of Gotham City.

And, as luck would have it, his first Gotham Rogue was Poison Ivy. Thinking back to his fight against Undergrowth, Pantom opened with his ice, forming a double-sided axe to better cleave her vines apart, and locking Ivy herself down with ice.

To further distance himself from his identity as Phantom, in case the GIW somehow became smart at some point, instead of blasting ice like most ghosts fire ectoblasts, Danny asked Pandora for lessons on fighting with weapons, and Frosbite taught his how to channel his element as an aura, or a freezing breath. He even sat down to listen to Nocturne speak as they wove spells and ectoplasm, and the Personification of Dreams softly taught him how to use his powers through objects acting as catalysts, or as manifestations of his will, rather than throwing his affinities around by brute force.

With his new abilities and look, rather than fight like a feral raccoon, Danny took to fighting more like a spellblade, slinging around ice shard and spells to enhance his physical strikes, controlling the pace of a fight to get the upper hand on his enemies.

Suffice to say, Poison Ivy hadn't expected the Avatar of Icy Vengeance to lock her in a pillar of ice up to her neck while her vines withered into frosty sculptures.

Gotham's newest hero got awarded a new name by the news the next day: Ymir, Frozen Progenitor.

Danny thinks it's too pretentious for a random ghost, or random halfa, like him. Joke's on him, the perception of Gotham's people slowly starts empowering him, slowly enough that the only reason he notices his oncoming Ascension to myth as a Protector Spirit is when a terrified kid begs for his help, and he hears them loud and clear out of nowhere.

The Bats are confused by this Entity. Constantine stepped one foot in Gotham, felt it's cleaner air, the sharp bite of ice in his nose and lungs, and the overwhelming pressure of the new Godling training under Gotham herself to control his new powers, and ran out screaming about not getting paid enough to deal with divine beings. Zatanna is trying to contact Ymir to ask them to join the Justice League Dark.

Jason is vibing with the tall redhead Amazon he's met at Babs' library, and her feral little brother who cured his Pit Rage by biting his arm when they first met. One time Jason is in a pinch after a stakeout gone wrong, Bellona (Ancient Roman Goddess of War) takes the fight to his captors to free him, dressed in golden armor and wielding a spear Pandora and Firght Knight made for her. Nocturne and her brother worked together to imbue a spell into her back to give her wings she can use to fly or fight with. The fact it left a badass tattoo on her back, is just another way Jazz rebels against her parents. It also has Jason weak in the knees when he first sees it.

Dc x dp idea: kill yourself

Listen, I firmly believe that Danny and any of the bats would flirt like fucked up little animals, disgusting little creatures.

I’m using Damian as an example because take a wild guess based on literally fucking anything I’ve ever posted on who my favourite is.

Danny, if ghosted for long enough, would probably just say kill yourself, not as in ‘go die whore’ but ‘let’s be immortalised together forever’. Even better if it’s ghost queen or king or whatever Danny because he’s basically just offering a green card to the afterlife and that funny as fuck.

And Damian would bring him skulls and poisonous mushrooms and keep several tabs on his location at all times and points because he is his mother’s son after all. He’d kill Freakshow or something and put a bunch of flowers into his hollowed out bones for decoration and hand it to him because love.

This doesn’t even have to be dc x dp, I just firmly believe that literally any of the characters from Batman or Danny Phantom would flirt like serial killers.

Hot take: dc x dp, but with good parents Jack and Maddie fenton.

Yes, Danny is part of the batfam. Yes, Bruce has legally adopted Danny and would have adopted jazz (if she didn't insist she was too old to be adopted). Jack is still their loving father. Maddie is still their devoted mother. Both parents recognize that their children love the batkids and the batparents (Yes, this includes Alfred and Maybe Selena) as family, and as the family doesn't seem abnormal (by amity park standards) they let their kids develop healthy relationships with whoever they want.

Madie fenton is Bruce Wayne's science nemesis. She doesn't buy "Brucie" for a second. Millionaire playboy who? Every time she picks up her kids from his house as per the shared custody agreement, she finds him tinkering with some strange device and casually points out "yknow, you have something, but it could be better if you....". She's so used to correcting her husband's math errors and design flaws that the first time she catches Bruce with an unsafe device, reflexes kick in.

Jack, on the other hand, pulls an uno reverse on Bruce. Bruce thought he was adopting a black haired and blue eyed teen with angst issues. Nope! Jack now has a new reclusive rich best friend! They're family, practically brothers! You want to run for gotham mayor and end city crime? Anything you say B-man!

Jack and Maddie start showing up to batkids's civilian events for moral support. Cassandra has a ballet recital? They're in the front seat; cheering her on! Tim has a big presentation in front of the company board of directors? Yet again, Jack and Maddie somehow got past building security; and holy heck, why do they have a "support Tim Wayne" t-shirt cannon?!!? After the 5th cookie care basket with sugar snaps that tried to eat his stapler at the bludhaven police station, Dick now has to politely ask them to stop sending food. He appreciates the effort, but the gingerbread men caused a queen of fables scare and tried to eat a convict.

Jack and Maddie know Danny is phantom. The "threats" to shoot him? He's their son! They'd never! But they can't let him know that they know, so they keep up the act half heartedly. They realize their invention killed him. They realize everything they thought they knew about ghosts was wrong. But how do you say sorry to your kid if he isn't ready to forgive you? Especially if you've wronged him infathomably. You don't. You love him unconditionally; and you live each day with him as the gift it is. And you keep his secret, even from him. You fight infathomable and terrifying monsters each night, over and over, praying that once they're gone he can sleep safely. If he ever wants to forgive you, he'll tell you; when he's ready. And if he can't? You live with what you've done, regret and greif forever seered into your soul. You know he is loved and cared for. He is protected. To you, that's all that matters.

I Just Need a Little More Time!

I was inspired after remembering Dr. Facilier's final scene in The Princess and the Frog.

Ellie has stabilized, the Infinite Realms are (mostly) under control of the High Queen, and has shuttered itself away while Jack, Maddie, and Vlad got rid of the GIW. A few years later, after all this nonsense is taken care of, she goes back to wandering the Earth.

Danny, being the worrying mother he is, gives her a few lesser abilities that he has as High Queen, and tells her to visit every once in a while, or he'll send Dan to drag her back.

Ellie makes a show of rolling her eyes and sighing before hugging him and promising to visit. She leaves and roams the world as a sort of advisor about ghostly things and lover of all facets of the world.

She's approached one day by the Bats to help with one of their problems in Gotham, and they naturally sort of get closer. She even starts dating of of them (Damian, Cass? You can fiddle with the timelines and ages).

But during all of this, she forgets to visit for quite some time. Danny, worried, sends Dan to find her. He does a little salute "Yes, Mom!" and goes off, scheming.

This culminates in that scene where, you guessed it, Dan appears (quite menacingly, might I add) to drag Ellie back. 🎶Are You Readyyy?🎶

After all, she hasn't paid her dues to the Queen Mother yet, has she? Only one way to make up for that. You're coming with me. (Danny's going to be fussing over her for ages.)

Okay I absolutely love the idea of Danny going by Queen Phantom instead of King because I absolutely love bending gender norms. That being said if you are going to call Danny Queen then he would be called Queen Regnant and not Queen Mother. Queen Mother is used to refer to the mother of the current reigning monarch and Queen Regnant is for a queen that rules in their own right.

And Queen Regnant is not to be confused with Queen Regent which is a queen who rules on behalf of others such as when their husband the king is away to war or the heir to the throne is too young to rule.

I actually did not know this would annoy me so much. Sorry guys. :(

Now he's been summoned by some rookie little cult that thinks he's pariah! Like common? Haven't the Daily Death news or even any media that are long forgotten or now Dead published his position as mother and Queen of the Realms?

Dan was wrecking havoc again, Ellie wasn't visiting off world daw! Jazz was being..herself, and tucker and Sam already cross the bridge of Reincarnation years ago¿ Now this! Summoned by some Mortals in another dimension just to destroy there dimensio!

Well he wasn't in the mood or patience as he just flick them with just one thumb and in prison in some random jail cell, but I guess he got some bonus of Infinite Realm Adoption Uno card on this tiny babies! They proclaim themselves as justice league? More like baby league! So cute! Especially all of them! The most chaotic are the little baby wearing quite green glowing suit that reminds him the vigilante outfit when he was phantom, the other was a very moody baby with a gentle heart too bad the little one was quite pushy and hiding his feelings! The other was another Red¿Blue¿ With his red nappy! But I guess he can't really touch the little one after just one Pat In the head caught the child vomiting after muttering some guy name lex or kyroto or krypto?

There was also another red baby with a cute tiny gold lightning symbol! Reminds him of his DP one too! The baby was a speedster one of CW little micron headaches, but alas he would still cherish the little guy with less ideas of resetting there universe everytime and giving much more effective and harmless Ideas, then there was also the little martian! The Alien civilization who were so kind that he hell back then in this dimension! ..it was a surprised to see every one of them except this little guy in the realms, but he knew this would happen.

I hope his little grandbabies of his babies give him time to bond with his adopted children

Nameless Danny au: Parenthood

Concept: Danny is both damians twin and the ghost king. Not much actual danny and damian in this. We'll see their pov in the next post in the au. I wanted to focus on Danny's parents.

(Also thank you to @bluerosefox for talking to me as I write. Their work is really good. Go give them some attention)

Both Bruce and Talia noticed her standing slightly to the side. Holding the soon to be young kings hand was a slightly taller women. Her hair was red and her kind but calculating eyes reminded Bruce of Barbara. For a moment she. had stared at them, four very living people standing among ghosts and spirits. Then she squeezed the boy beside hers hand.

Talia didn't know why she did it. It felt almost like instinct, but she rolled her eyes like a irritated teenager. She was sure if it was that the girl was coddling the boy about to take the throne. (Though a small part of her knew it was that she was mad that that strange very living girl was in that place. It didn't feel right. She tried to bat away the thought.)

Looking towards were her father had been standing she almost sighed in frustration. He was wading threw the crowd towards the very shut castle doors. As nimbly as he could. She wasn't surprised. Ras had done the dirty work of killing the unnamed child himself. Furthermore if anyone knew what a ghost king was capable of it was him.

But still to run like a coward. She couldn't lie to herself that it didn't anger her. If it wasn't for her father they wouldn't be out of the ghost kings favor to begin with.

The thought stopped her for a minute. Would this boy have become the ghost king say she didn't abandon him. Say ras didn't kill him.

Yes the boy should be thankful of the opportunity given to him. She watched the white haired boy recite a promise to his people. In English then Latin then a language she didn't understand. She was sure with a little work she could get into his good graces. They were blood after all.

Bruce could see the gears working in Talias head. He repressed a sigh. Someway somehow he would have to get his son on his side first. It's not that he wanted to turn him against his mother perse. But Talia with the power of a queen mother would be a disaster. He already saw that smirk of hers.. the same smirk Damian throws on when he had the upper hand in an argument. He glanced at ras who was now trying to play cool. Bruce briefly wondered if he would have to stop a possible murder. Obviously with how ras was acting he had been the one to initially murder the young ghost king.

The ghost king had just finished his oath to his people. The red headed young woman standing carefully beside him. Bruce couldn't help but hope that she inherited the queen mother status. She would be easy to get close to if she was like Barbara. Of course he would have to figure out what exactly made her tic.

He hated to do this, to be so cold when he was seeing his son for the first ever time... but he couldn't be without a contingency plan. He didn't know how much the league had damaged him. He didn't know if the boy, apparently crowned king Danny Phantom, would take his frustrations with his family (Which was clear as day by the way he looked at them. There must have been a mixup with invitations) out on the living.

The crown was dusted and held above Danny's head. Just then the knight from earlier gestured for them to cover their ears.

Just as the crown was placed on his head, Danny screamed out in pain. In agony. The hero in Bruce wanted to charge threw the crowd. To soothe the seething pain in him, but he was paralized. Threw the blood curdling screams a young girl (a living breathing human girl) put her hand on his shoulder. She clearly had ear plugs in. Slowly she mouthed the words

"It'll be ok"

She was in almost all black. The boy behind her (also living) looked uncomfortable in general. With his suit, with his ear plugs, and Bruce had to assume with what was happening his friend, as they were around damians age as well, and the two were the only living beings there besides the people he arrived with and the woman next to the new king.

As the screams faded and the crown seemed to bind with Danny the women next to him popped her earplugs out and wiped her tears, next to him he could feel Talia smirk again at her weakness.

Yes Bruce needed to work fast...

At least Ras hadn't immediately covered his ears.
