So short context and "spoiler?" , Arson and Ichi use these forms to blend in / gather info (whether it's for their own purpose or for Idia's ) Arson switches his vests so no one thinks he's from one dorm and take on the role of a Heartslabyul , Scarbia or a savanclaw student (he morphs animal ears , usually cat, to blend in better ) while ichi fits the personalities of a Octavinelle, Pomeofire and Diasonmia student.

They're still learning human concepts and wish to learn more , Matthew and Bobbie are how they learn

You know how small children sometimes do the angry stamp-y stamps where they make a SUPER angry face and kinda jump up and down?

That’s what I did thinking about this.

I know as well as anyone that Disney are fucking thief’s but Ever After High is PERSONAL.

They share the same basic concept but the thing that killed EVH was the timing. They were SO CLOSE together that it was blatantly obvious Disney was ripping off Ever after high and because Dinsey had the exposure of the Disney Chanel it reached more people over all. Whereas EVH had the same issue as MH where it was mostly limited to smaller streaming services like Netflix, channels that ran kids movies and DVD releases. And the worse thing was that EVH didn’t even have two of those.

It had a Netflix original show that FUCKING SLAPS but it stopped halfway through thanks to the mouse. So it moved to YouTube.

Another thing was that Matel is a TOY COMPANY. They made the shows and movies to PROMOTE DOLLS. So as soon as doll sales dipped thanks to the mouse? Gone was the show. It didn’t end on a cliff hanger but there was still so much more to explore, so much gray area, so many characters and stories to explore.

And because of that I will ALWYAS hold some slight resentment toward Descendants.

This is technically unrelated but: THERE WAS GONNA BE AN EVER AFTER HIGH/ MONSTER HIGH CROSSOVER AND IM SO MAD WELL NEVER ACTUALLY GET IT NOW

Another thing is that, comparatively, Ever After High is SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING.

Descendants is the story of four poor, abused kids getting let out of their sims-of-the-father situations and navigating what light and dark mean, being their own people outside of abusive family and poverty and about found family. Which is wonderful story to tell and you can go a lot of ways but they really don’t.

Ever After High meanwhile is a much more built out world with overarching themes of destiny vs choice, the overall meaning of destiny and fate, of learning who YOU are, of stereotyping, of self doubt, of OVERALL CHOICE. There are so many characters to follow and so many rabbit holes to jump down and so many questions to ask. It’s even implied that the generation of students we see is at least the second generation to go to the school! Hell it’s implied that some stories literally WONT WORK anymore because of the previous generations choices. (I’ll expand on this more if asked but that involves spoilers)

The giants get their own highschool, Wonderland is its own SEPERATE world with its own rules and characters, ITS GOT GAYS, it’s got extremely unexpected twists and character development for characters we RARELY see or characters that get like one arc but those arcs are SO DAMN GOOD.

And because this is me, even the designs are more interesting and cooler to me thanks to the 2D cartoon format. Most of them are CLEAR AS DAY with who is who’s child and have a clear dressing style to them thanks to their colors. Like I swear I could pick pictures of some characters and have you guess and you’d probably get a fair few right.

I always wonder about some of the choices that EN took with twst translations. But I think the one that’s stumps me the most is the fact that they don’t clearly state that NRC is a high school.

Which can lead to a lot of confusion, as I’ve seen especially in new players (and those in EN server only side too)

It is canon and stated that NRC is a high school and mentioned many times but in EN they take out any mention of it and that’s probably because the school’s title is Night Raven College.

So they probably didn’t want to confuse anyone but in a way that just leads to confusion in itself when you consider the ages of some of the characters.

Honestly, I never found it confusing that Night Raven College is a high school despite the “college” in the name.

That’s probably because I grew up knowing the differences in school levels in different countries.

In NA, there’s a difference between high school and college levels. But in some other countries, college level to them is actually high school level in NA.

Which I always found interesting, when I heard it when I was young. So maybe that’s why college = high school is not confusing in some places.

But the fact that EN goes out of its way to take out that small detail is surprising when they can give it a simple explanation. How will they explain it in the future I wonder?

There’s no certain reason for me to bring this up, I just found it interesting whenever I thought about it. ☺️🤔🌺

There is not much here on my tumblr blog I think, because the fandom is mainly on Twitter (I’m talking about fanarts that easily reach 10K retweets in a few hours, official content that reaches 200+K retweets, etc, I’ve never seen something like this).

Also, it’s mainly Japanese fandom, because it’s a game not yet translated in English. HOWEVER, I have found out that people have translated all of it in English, I think there is a wikia with the full translations and also videos on youtube, though I haven’t watched any.

ANYWAY, IT’S BASICALLY A GAME made by Disney, character design by the true and only goddess Yana Toboso (Kuroshitsuji), and the characters are inspired by Dinsey VILLAINS!!!!

Think Harry Potter, now think of evil Hogwarts, the Houses are based on Ursula, Jafar, for our furry friends SCAR, Hades, the Queen of Hearts, Malefica, and the Evil Queen from Snowhite.

Here are the Prefects of the Houses, heavily influenced by the aforementioned villains (except you, Kalim, you did nothing wrong, ever), and they are about 1/3 of all the available characters.

You have gatcha and cards; a side rhythmic game; the main story in which you are a mere non-magical boy who was accidentally brought to the Academy and will have to deal with the boys going berserk because the Principal is too lazy to find a way to send you back to your boring, normal, human life; then you get the boys’ stories; fighting battles based on elements; rhythmic battles...training sessions with male versions of Cinderella’s stepmom and, oh god, Cruella;

Let me gush about him: GOD HE’S SO HOT? HOW...WHY...also a Sadist, calls the student puppies who need to be trained [sweat emoji], I-

Anyway, I always grow bored with this kind of games really fast, especially the stories, but in this case, the WRITING IS AMAZING! I love all of them...and it’s been really fun to try and guess (or suddenly get hit in the face by) all the references from various Disney characters...damn... I need an anime.
