A couple of months ago I came up with a campaign idea/concept, a sort of isekai/Meta Game (a game within a game sort of deal) mainly inspired by Solar Opposites C Plot "The Wall".
Tumblr media
Essentially the plot of the game would be that a group of player joined a weird DND via like an online LFG, and once they joined and met at the location they all faint. They wake up in a medieval fantasy tavern as their characters, isekai style but every NPC is acting strange... Suddenly the roof gets grabbed by some giant hand, which turns out to belong to the GM who is a witch that shrunk the player and turned them into their characters so that they could play DND. All the NPC are also some random people that she shrunk and turned into characters and the whole map is like a huge series of interconnected terrariums that she as made. At first the game would be quite meta, with the players literally "Larping" while the "in game DM" throws the dices and narrates. I would personally allow metagaming in situations were the PCs are playing because they might know rules and such but they'd need to roll to make sure that the "in game DM" does not noticed that they're meta gaming. Each encounter could have some meta like
Bandits: Give me all your gold or I'll gut you like a chicken!
DM From above: Like a fish
Bandit: *sight* like a fish...
Other situations could be like;
DM: Suddenly a dragon appears! *drops gecko in the terrarium*
Players: *genuinely panicking*
DM: Guys chill. Guys. Guys! I won't let it actually attack you!
Gecko: *grabs some random NPC and shakes them around*
DM: Kiwi! Kiwi let go! LET GO!!
Eventually the game could become about the PCs trying to escape and find help and this becomes like a Borrowers style campaign!
Edit: I just thought of that, alot of the NPCs could have been players that she didn't like, like edgelords or "That Guy" or just people she didn't like. So you could have that random quest giver NPC trying to take the spotlight or the bartender being this overly edgy brooding dude, etc

I wanna write a story about the tailor for all the BBEGs. Because let’s face it, villains don’t get their amazing outfits from any old clothing outlet.
It’s a high-end, highly exclusive tailor, who also happens to be a warlock with an oddly particular patron who just wants them to outfit the evilest motherfuckers in Faerûn. And not only are they great at it, but they are functionally unkillable because BBEGs are unpredictable.
They use a magic mirror to preview outfit designs on the villains. “So, do you like outfit one, or outfit two? We can try some alternate color schemes.”
“No, no, green would clash too much with the blood you’re going to end up in all the time.”
“You say you want to kill me so no other can have access to my skills in magic armor and clothes? Oh honey…”
“My rate doubles with every murder attempt on me or my assistants. Orin pays out the nose for everything.”
“You want to incorporate your enemy’s corpses? Sure, but there’s a biohazard fee.”
“Skull motif? Are you sure? It’s a bit overdone.”
Most of the time they’re not even in the shop, they just use a variety of charms and spells to work safely away from the more nasty BBEGs.

My dream that I work 0 hours per day is being a dm for so long that I become bored and create the evolution to my second favorite item, so I present the ultimate deck of many things
You mix cards against humanity , Pokemon TCG , Yu-Gi-Oh cards, tarot cards, the normal poker cards, the special cards in uno and whatever else you would have lying around and just improvising everything
The rouge tried to do something stupid and tried to use the deck to ecalate it and pulled the fool
The barbarian after seeing a Yu-Gi-Oh card wanted to try his luck in the next battle and got pot of greed, and after pulling two more he gets powerful thighs and a magikarp

Dnd Prompts (again)
(Based on Celtic Mythology this time because you can take the forest out of the girl, but you can't take the girl from the forest :D )
A group of adventurers stumble upon an ancient burial site in the heart of a misty Celtic forest. They soon discover that the site is guarded by a powerful druidic spirit that will only let them pass if they prove themselves worthy in a test of strength, wisdom, and bravery.
A powerful Celtic warlord hires a band of adventurers to retrieve a magical relic that was stolen from him by a group of ruthless bandits: Excalibur. The relic is said to be cursed, and whoever possesses it will suffer a terrible fate.
A young bard sets out on a quest to find the legendary harp of the Dagda, a powerful artifact that can control the forces of nature. Along the way, the party must overcome treacherous obstacles and face fierce enemies, some being ancient spirits, other being treacherous changeling.
Your party discovers an ancient dwarven underground temple dedicated to a forgotten Celtic goddess. As they explore the temple, they uncover dark secrets and ancient curses that threaten to consume them...
A druidic order discovers that a powerful demon is planning to invade their forest and destroy their sacred grove. They call upon a group of adventurers to help them defend their home and vanquish the evil, not really saying the name of said Demon. The party realizes later on that this "Demon" is none other than a friend they made during their previous quests, but something has changed as you stare into those dead eyes and lifeless smile...
A powerful lich has taken control of a once-beautiful Celtic city and turned it into a dark, twisted realm of the undead. A group of brave heroes must navigate the labyrinthine city and defeat the lich before it's too late as the disease spreads, leaving vines invade your body, little by little until they squeeze your lungs slowly, leaving you breathless in this village of death.
A group of adventurers is hired by a wealthy merchant to escort a valuable cargo across treacherous Celtic lands. Along the way, they must navigate dangerous terrain, fend off raiders and bandits, and confront the spirits of the land, Morrigan. And she is absolutely not happy to see you roaming across her land...
Your party discovers a lost shrine dedicated to the goddess of the hunt. They soon discover that the shrine is guarded by a powerful and vengeful spirit that will stop at nothing to protect it. They have to find a way to bring the powerful potion of Alaunos back to their kingdom to heal the Queen but have to pass trials to determine if they deserve it. Your party must win the trials if your players want to be able to go back and save her.
A powerful sorceress seeks the help of a group of adventurers to retrieve an ancient tomb that contains a powerful spell who would be able to bring the dead lands of the planes back to life. The tomb is guarded by a fierce dragon that has made its lair in the ruins of an ancient Celtic castle.
A group of adventurers discovers an ancient standing stone circle that has the power to transport them to different realms and times. They must navigate the dangers of each realm they visit and overcome the challenges they face to find their way back home. But Pan has other plans for them...

Really bad dnd character idea: A seer that has prophetic dreams about the stupidest things. Like they’ll occasionally dream about some vague prophecy that helps the party, but most of the time it’ll just be them buying goat cheese or eating a bowl of soup

D&D dungeon crawl, but there's something strange about this dungeon. It's your typical dungeon crawl, stone bricks, endless winding corridors, traps, but there's no enemies. And it seems to go down for miles. The farther down you go the more hostile it appears, the bricks growing darker, the heat steadily rising. Turns out this isn't a dungeon at all, but a long term nuclear waste storage facility.

DND Campain Idea
Normally I would have people pay me for these ideas, but I enjoy spewing my creativity to the Tumblr folks :) On that note here’s the idea:
The party has a typical meeting wherever, but you always make it seem like someone is missing. Then when you get introduced to the main villain, they already know a lot about the players (obviously brushed off because to be great at something you need research.) The villain keeps getting in the way of plots until you find out that the villain did something bad. (Whether that’s killing a players npc wife or being the one to tear up an acceptance letter for a job idk/idc, it just has to be in the backstory, nothing new from during the campaign) The party is then forced to kill the main villain, making them regain a memory.
What happened (explained better):
There once was a group of friends who met the same way as the beginning, but there’s one more person, a magic user (idk if it would be mage/wizard/etc. I recently found DND.) However, over time the new character keeps messing up, slowly making the party hate one the person. One day the villain was found guilty of doing whatever backstory tragedy happened and the party hated the magic user even more. This broke their heart, so they casted a spell to make themself erased from their memory, and if they’re going to be the bad guy, they would embrace it.
...or so they thought. They still missed their friends, they missed laughing with them, even if they hurt them; even if they hated they hated them. That is why, in the final battle their last words where “I am sorry,”

So my most recent idea is for a collection of businesses all owned by two Goliath brothers, Pip and Dot. They have this traveling business of sorts simply called the Pip N Dot. To get access to it you need to have a special pair of dice and a good intentions. When rolling the die a building face with two doors will pop up. What is behind the doors is determined by which numbers you rolled on which die. You can only access those two businesses you rolled for that session. Once you leave you cannot roll again until the next morning.
There is a red/white die and a white/black die. The red/white one leads to shops while the white/black one leads to services. They're both d6's.
Here's the lists
Red/white
1. Tavern
2. General Store
3. Library
4. Potion Shop
5. Tea House
6. Bank
White/Black
1. Inn
2. Bathhouse
3. Post Office
4. Blacksmith
5. Tattoo Studio
6. Casino
I'm in the process of designing the building layout now. It's pretty swanky. If you guys have any cool ideas for unique things about the mini businesses do tell. The only thing I'm sticking on is a mild dice theme.
