New Korean BL - Jazz for Two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tae Yi (Song Han Gyeom?) hears a familiar melody filling the empty halls and makes his way to the old music room. He knows his brother is dead, but he can’t help but hope, maybe, just maybe...it’s his brother playing his favorite song. When he slams open the door, however, he finds Se Heon (Kim Jin Kwon), a new transfer student, at the piano. Disappointment comes crashing down and Tae Yi can’t control his anger. How dare Se Heon play his brother’s song? How dare he smile? How dare he say he loves jazz?
“If I ever catch you playing the piano again...that’ll be the end of you.”
And with that begins Tae Yi and Se Heon's story, as unpredictable and visceral as jazz. (Source: BLUPDATE2022 Twitter via MDL)
Adapted from the webtoon "Jazz for Two" (재즈처럼) by Keul Ra Jyu (클라쥬)
Stars
Song Han Gyeom (prev A-Day), Omega X (rapper)
Kim Jin Kwon, Newkidd (leader, sub-vocal)
Byun Sung Tae - lead in Happy Merry Ending
Ko Jae Hyun - side in To My Star
Thoughts
With two active idols in the leads (we think), odds are not great on this one. So far the only truly successful execution of solid BL from active idols has been Semantic Error (and frankly KNK barely counts). Plus this is the production team/director behind A Shoulder to Cry On which I HATED, so yeah...
I'm excited to have anything new from Korea but I'm keeping my expectations low.
My idols in BLs tracking is here (possibly not updated). This won't get on the list until after it releases. Never count your idols until after the BL has hatched.

Description: fluff ⋆ oneshot
In which y/n meets and gets to know her little crush outside of the company elevator
Pairings: myung jaehyun x afabidol!reader
Words: 2.6k
Warnings: mentions of stray kids’s bang chan, han jisung, kim seungmin, and lee felix ⋆ mentions of riize’s lee sohee ⋆ mentions of zerobaseone’s sung hanbin ⋆ mentions of bts’s jeon jungkook
when jaehyun was told you would be a guest MC with him at mcountdown, he was elated. the boy was basically bouncing out of his seat and thanking the lord for hanbin and sohee having schedules.
you two had only stopped to say quick and polite greetings to one another at the hybe building elevator, but that was the extent of your interactions. jaehyun was really curious about you. partly because you debuted around the same time as boynextdoor, but mainly because he found you extremely talented (and beautiful) and wanted to get to know you better.
you had just reached your greenroom when jaehyun came bouncing up to you like a puppy to start talking to you.
"hi y/n, how are you today? it's nice to see you again and work with you today!"
jaehyun was barely hiding his excitement, making you laugh softly at how enthusiastic he was.
"it's nice to see you jaehyun, and i'm doing well. i'm excited to be able to work with you today!"
you shot him a bright smile and were quickly ushered away by your manager and makeup artist before you could even ask how jaehyun was doing in return. not that jaehyun minded. he was just glad he got to talk to you.
"what if he thinks i'm super rude now. he debuted before me, i should've been politer"
you groaned and complained to your makeup artist who just giggled and kept doing your makeup.
"well you were trying too hard to be cool when you knew we had to hurry. you're going on live with him soon anyways, just be yourself"
she teased as you hid your face in your hands, earning you an earful of scolding as to why you shouldn't do that ever again and mess up your makeup.
you and your makeup artist were basically like sisters. it was no secret to her that you found jaehyun cute and funny, leading to tons of teasing the moment you found out you'd be doing daechinso live and mcountdown hosting with him.
"don't make your cute little crush obvious on live, but just be yourself. you'll do great. this is a good experience for you"
she said earnestly, giving you a gentle side hug while you nodded and went to the couch with jaehyun and the other staff for daechinso live.
you and jaehyun exchanged glances and smiles before turning your attention to the staff who told you what to do.
"it's all simple stuff. we just talk casually together with the guest. you'll do great"
jaehyun shot you a sweet smile back in response to your nervous one, patting your shoulder lightly to calm your nerves.
"i don't know why i'm so nervous. i watch daechinso live all the time"
you admitted as you took deep breaths to calm down. for being an idol, you were still very nervous on camera and with other people. jaehyun perked up at the mention of you watching live often.
"you do? why haven't you ever guest starred on it?"
he asked and you shrugged.
"i haven't gone on mcountdown with my other members in a while so i haven't had an excuse to come down"
jaehyun nodded in understanding before the corners of his lips curved up into a small smile.
"what should our unit name be?"
you turned to him in surprise. unit names were mainly for idols who were already super close. the two of you being in the same company didn't necessarily mean you guys were close, so you were confused. seeing your surprise, jaehyun backtracked and rushed to explain what he meant.
"the unit name for me, hanbin, and sohee is shine meongddocat. since we're hosting, we need a unit name for us"
he explained hastily and started second guessing his, what he thought was risky, question in his attempt to get closer to you. you let out a small "ohh" of realization and smiled. you glanced at the array of costumes on the table you and jaehyun would have to wear during the live.
"if we wear these we can be tanghulu"
you joked as you held out a strawberry hat to him. jaehyun laughed and put it on while you put on a matching strawberry hat.
tons of different idols walked by and you tried to hide the fact that you were so amazed at seeing all of them. unbeknownst to you, jaehyun smiled at the way your eyes lit up when seeing idols you both looked up to since you were kids. it seemed unreal to jaehyun at first too. you two had only been dreaming to get to where they were, and now you were finally here.
"who are we having with us today?”
you whispered to jaehyun while the staff got ready to start the live.
"i don't know. it's a surprise to us too"
jaehyun laughed and shrugged, sitting close to you in case you guys had to squeeze a lot of people on the couch.
suddenly, bang chan, han, felix, and seungmin of stray kids walked in and introduced themselves. upon seeing them, you and jaehyun bowed over and over together in unison until they laughed and told you two it was okay. it was even more embarrassing when you guys remembered you two were dressed as strawberries bowing profusely.
the live started and showed the five of you standing up around the little coffee table and the couch, introducing yourselves.
before sitting down, jaehyun subtly nudged you to sit on the end of the couch rather than be squished between everyone. a soft smile spread to the corners of your lips, grateful for how considerate jaehyun was.
the six of you went back and forth, exchanging comments and jokes about your careers, experiences, and just overall having fun. jaehyun noticed you fiddling with the flip sequin pillow, unconsciously swiping back and forth between his face and the normal design. he thought it was endearing how you were so nervous playing with the pillow.
“so, i heard you’re a main rapper and a main vocalist, is that right?”
chan asked you two and you both nodded in fear, knowing where this was going. felix let out small laughs when he saw your guys’ faces.
“i think we should do freestyle rapping between you two. i’ve seen you rap before. i’m confident you can rap better than our jisung”
chan said mischievously as he gestured between han and jaehyun. you froze and looked at jaehyun as he looked at han in pure adoration and fear, shaking his head in refusal to chan’s comment. this was NOT part of the script but jaehyun was so awestruck he didn’t care.
“okay staff-nim drop the beat”
jaehyun summoned his swagginess and put on a pair of sunglasses. he looked ridiculously adorable as a strawberry with sunglasses on but he still ate regardless.
“i think he lost”
seungmin laughed, gesturing to his own member who looked betrayed while the rest of his members agreed. again, jaehyun adamantly refused to accept his supposed win and bowed repeatedly to han.
“and for miss main vocal, pick a song and seungmin will duet with you. i get a lot of comments on instagram live saying they want to see you two specifically duet”
felix added and you thought for a moment.
“should we sing jungkook’s standing next to you?
you glanced back and forth between seungmin and jaehyun, who had a wide smile on his face at the mention of his role model’s song. seungmin nodded and the staff started the music, jaehyun adding adlibs every now and then.
you and seungmin duetted, singing all the high notes together to showcase your guys’ vocals. you watched the others on the couch whistle and smile at how well you both did harmonizing together. jaehyun did the dance for standing next to you while you guys sang.
“that was great, as expected from two amazing vocalists”
jaehyun praised and clapped as did the other members who especially praised your vocals on such a hard song.
you continued to talk to the members about their fanbase, knowing how much most idols loved their fans to death. you yourself would know because you’d be nothing without fans.
in the middle of talking, you felt jaehyun silently lay a blanket over your lap as custom to cover your legs from the camera. though you couldn't show it, you were really happy jaehyun thought of the little things he could do to make you feel comfortable.
after live was over, you both chatted with everyone a little bit more before they had to go back to the greenroom. when they left, you and jaehyun smiled at each other, high fiving to celebrate your first successful live on mcountdown.
"thank you for everything today jaehyun. you helped me get through everything and you were so kind the entire way"
you thanked him earnestly. jaehyun smiled softly and waved his hands in denial.
"it was all you and your personality that made everything work. take some credit"
he praised and you blushed with a happy smile. you were surprised the live went so well, and you knew it was mostly thanks to jaehyun. nevertheless, you loved how he was so humble and sweet towards you.
"so are we meeting up later?"
he suddenly asked as you stood up to go back to the green room.
"are we?"
you were genuinely confused, sitting back down to talk. you hadn't made any plans with jaehyun that you remembered. jaehyun's eyes widened as he internally smacked himself over and over for forgetting.
"i'm so sorry i always go out to get food with hanbin and sohee after live"
he apologized profusely, which you thought was adorable.
"i wouldn't mind going out if you'd have me"
you admitted, a slight shake in your voice. you were worried about being rejected by jaehyun only to receive the opposite reaction.
"i'd love to! pick a place to eat and let me know okay? i'll come to your greenroom after recording the show"
jaehyun smiled and extended his hand out to you, helping you off the couch. you smiled and said your goodbyes before going back to your greenroom and picking a place to eat.
"it's okay for us to go somewhere to eat right? as long as we cover up a lot?"
you asked as your makeup artist touched up your makeup and she paused, thinking for a moment.
"i think it's okay. just don't be too close with him to the public eye"
she warned and you nodded, practically beaming at the thought of you getting to go out and eat with jaehyun. you had such a good time doing live that you just knew it would be an even better time as normal people just talking.
you decided on a pasta place with a private booth so you and jaehyun could eat comfortably without being seen or suspected by other people.
"how am i even supposed to contact him when i didn't get his number"
you groaned and tossed your phone on the couch. you glanced at your greenroom's TV and saw jaehyun smiling widely while talking to onedoors. you found yourself smiling along with him. jaehyun's smile is just that contagious.
as if your complaints were heard, a knock on your door caused you to eagerly jump up to go answer it.
"hey, i just finished recording"
jaehyun said with his usual wide smile. you laughed and invited him in to your greenroom so you could show him the place you found.
"i was craving pasta so i hope what i chose was okay"
you laughed nervously as you pulled the place up on your phone. jaehyun nodded furiously in reassurance, eliciting soft laughs from you seeing how silly he was.
"there's a private booth here so no one could suddenly recognize us"
jaehyun nodded and texted his manager.
"we can go together since we just did live. ready?"
you smiled and nodded, accepting his hand which pulled you up and out the door.
you two thankfully escaped through the back door so that fans weren't swarming and crowding around you guys, safely getting in the car and going to the place.
you and jaehyun sat in your respective seats, taking a nap together because doing live and recordings sucked so much energy out of you two. the manager had to darken the windows because it would be a little chaotic if people saw you and jaehyun leaning on each other to sleep.
jaehyun woke up as the car slowed down and saw you sleeping on his shoulder. he couldn't smile or show how happy he was since the manager was watching. he was afraid that the manager would prevent you guys from seeing each other if he knew about jaehyun's little crush.
nevertheless, jaehyun was screaming on the inside and was happy to let you keep sleeping until the manager found a parking spot.
you felt jaehyun nudge your shoulder a bit to wake you up and you rubbed the sleep out of your eyes, lifting your head from jaehyun’s shoulder. you didn’t seem to realize you were sleeping on jaehyun’s shoulder because of how sleepy you were, but jaehyun found it endearing all the same.
“it’s not very busy right now so let’s just hurry in”
jaehyun said as the manager hurriedly gestured for you two to rush inside. jaehyun left the car first to avoid any scandals and you left five minutes later to join jaehyun at the private booth you’d reserved.
“i haven’t had pasta in so long. you chose a great place”
jaehyun gushed, basking in the smell of pasta and bread from outside the door separating you from the rest of the restaurant. you giggled at how jaehyun’s stomach slightly rumbled, as did yours.
“so, how did you like doing live on mcountdown?”
jaehyun asked as he slowly started picking at his food, wanting to prolong your guys’ little dinner date for as long as he could without coming off as suspicious.
“it was really fun! i’ve liked stray kids for such a long time, and i’m happy you were so kind and energetic the entire time”
you said happily, making jaehyun smile and nod.
“i always see you in the elevator and you always came off as so shy, so i didn’t expect you to be so expressive on live today”
jaehyun admitted and you burst out laughing, making him pause abruptly when going to pick up a piece of bread.
“that was because of you! it felt like a dream seeing one of my seniors in the elevator with me so i was kind of shy when talking to you. not to mention you’re always talking to leehan when we’re there”
you giggled and jaehyun’s jaw dropped, forgetting about the piece of bread he just dropped on his plate.
“please don’t be shy. let’s get closer and talk more instead of leaving it up to seeing each other briefly in the elevator. i really want to get to know you”
jaehyun insisted, holding his pinky out to you. you wrapped yours around his, smiling softly in the process. you didn’t miss the hopeful glimmer in his eyes when you did.
“i promise i won’t be a stranger when we next meet. can i speak informally to you then?”
“yes, please do. even our woonhak doesn’t speak to us formally, so you shouldn’t have to either”
jaehyun deadpanned, making you laugh as you two continued eating. it was a comfortable night of eating with your little crush and getting to know each other better. jaehyun really was as sweet as he came off today, and he thought your personality was even lovelier than the fleeting glances of you he saw in the elevator.
just like that, you two got closer to being the tiniest bit more than friends, one small step at a time :)

Let me treat you better.
Tumblr media
Han Jisung x Y/n
fem!reader
Angst, comfort.
TW: swearing.
I sighed sitting up, pulling the duvet to cover my bare skin up. The sun shone through the large windows of my bedroom. The place next to me empty. My apartment still and quiet. I frowned grabbing my phone. I dialed his number. Straight to voicemail. I frowned. I messaged him.
Y/n
Shawn? Where are you? Did you leave already?
not sent!
That fucker. Did he block me? What the fuck! You're mine baby. I ran my hands through my face and hair. Pulling at it with frustration. I screamed and kicked at the bed. Tears stained my cheeks. Then again it's nothing new.
I huffed standing up pulling the duvey with me until I reached the bathroom. Dropping it to the floor and went into the shower. You feel so fucking good. I opened the cold water tap and let it wash my sadness away. The cold water somehow burning my skin.
I walked into my closet and put on Sungies hoodie and my tights. I grabbed my phone off my side table and went to the lounge slamming my bedroom door shut. I was met with silence. I dialed sungies number. "The number you have dialed is not available please try again later." I quickly typed out a message.
Y/n
Hey sungie. Wanna hang today?
sent 11:06am
I sniffled and put on music to play in the background to mute out the remains of last night. Seconds, minutes and then hours past and he didn't reply. I chuckled before going to the kitchen pulling out a mug and making a cup of coffee. What did you expect Y/n. I frowned.
"I don't wanna feel, how I did last night." The song that was on the t.v mocked me. So good. I winced at his words. The hot water spilling and burning my hand. My phone rang. I groaned and went to answer. "y/n?" Sungie. Finally.
"Hey. Did you just wake up?" His laugh echoed. "Duh, when do i ever wake up early?" I smiled. "Wanna hang today?" I heard a shuffle and a yawn. "yeah sure. I'll be there in ten." I nodded. "Cool see you." I sighed and hurridly started cleaning the mess. My clothes in the kitchen. The wine glasses on the coffee table. The duvet. The condom packet. The messed sheets.
I sat in the lounge and huffed. The door bell rang. I opened. "Y/n?" I smiled. "Hey." He chuckled. "someone got laid last night." he said walking in and my face fell. "what?" He pointed to my neck. "Those look pretty intense, bite marks and everything." I moved the hoodie to cover up and shifted on my feet uncomfortably. "what? whats wrong?" I sniffled. "nothing". I hurridly walked past him. He grabbed my wrist. "y/n." he said sternly.
"He left before I could wake up." I mumbled, my eyes starting to burn with tears of regret. He pulled me into a hug and rubbed my back and I let everything out. "T-They do this all the time s-sungie.." He kissed my forehead and mumbled. "Y/n-ie..." I sobbed. "He just used me..."
"The dates and everything meant nothing didn't it, the sweet gestures, the cute remarks, late night drives and deep convo's, everything meant nothing. And when he finally got what he wanted he left." He hugged me tighter. "He should've been grateful that he even got date. What an asshole." I nodded against his shoulder and mumbled. "he is an asshole."
"Its gunna be okay love. Lets sit okay. Have hot chocolate and ramyeon? Our combo." I smiled. He pulled my hand and I flinched. "ow." He looked at my hand. It was red. "Got burnt." I said shrugging my shoulders. His eyes went wide. "AND YOU DIDN'T TREAT THE WOUND?!" I pouted. "i'll be fin-" He pulled me to the kitchen to treat my wound. "shut up dumbass." I smiled. "Thanks sungie." He huffed.
"Don't go on dates with those douche bags anymore" He mumbled as I sat on the counter, looking at him "hmph" I huffed "Its unfair, I wanna be in a healthy relationship too sung." He pulled my hand in his, putting ointment on the burn. "Let me treat you better." He looked up at me and I knew he wasn't refering to the wound that he was treating.
I gulped and nodded, blushing. "good." He smiled, the tips of his ears turning red, looking at my wound as he treated it. "I'll treat you better..." he whispered leaving a soft kiss on the wound after."Shut up Han." I looked away, rolling my eyes, secretly blushing. He smiled. "Want some of that ramyeon?" He winked and I knocked his head with my knuckles. "Stop with your double meaning shit." He laughed. "Come on I'm serious. Let me be yours." I looked away as butterflies erupted in my stomach.
"Oh my god Han." He laughed. "What I didn't even do anything." I smiled looking back at him. "Let's have hot chocolate." His eyes widened. "Is that a yes or a no???" He followed me around as I made our drinks. "Y/n. Y/n. Y/n. Y/n." He poked my shoulder. I turned around, my hands on my hips.
"What do you think dumbass." He shrugged his shoulders and I turned to continue. He rested his head on my shoulder watching me as I put the hot chocolate powder into our mugs. "I'm serious tho. I'll treat you better y/n-ie." He whispered. "Yes." He looked at you. "what?" I rolled my eyes. "Yes Han. I'll be yours." He gasped. "Really??" I nodded. He wrapped his arms around my waist. I chuckled. "You're such a loser." He smiled. "Your loser."
Thank you for your support. ♡ ~ BIBI

Tumblr media
You stumble in to the darkened apartment shortly after 4 in the morning, and your immediate first thought, echoed by the loud growling of your stomach, is food.
You head straight for the fridge, hoping Minho had cooked something for dinner that made leftovers, and almost cry when you see the plate saran wrapped and waiting for you.
God bless Lee Minho.
You shove the food into the microwave and lean back on the counter to wait, picking at the dirt caked beneath your finger nails and sniffing the arm of your dirty jacket experimentally.
You wrinkle your nose in disgust.
You definitely need a shower.
Preferably before falling in to bed.
Minho will never let you hear the end of it if you get grime on his sheets.
The light flicks on in the kitchen right as the microwave beeps, and you yank open the door, glancing over your shoulder in a squint to see Minho standing in the doorway.
Speak of the devil.
You blink a couple times, getting your eyes adjusted to the light, and give him an easy smile as you slide into a seat at the table, the smell of the food making your stomach grumble once more.
"Oh. Hey, Min. What're you doing up so early?"
Minho rolls his eyes, hair mussed, and makes right for the coffee maker.
"I dunno, some dumbass just got home and it's my job to check up on them."
You shrug, mouth full of food, and lean over to pull your knife from your boot, throwing it down on the table as you unstrap your gun from your back to do the same.
"I'm fine. Starving, but fine."
"Really?" Minho turns, leaning against the counter, watching you with an annoyed scowl. "Because you're dripping all over our linoleum."
You glance down with slight interest, and see he's right.
You'd forgotten all about the gash on your arm in the adrenaline and need for food, but it's still slowly oozing blood, puddling on the floor at your feet.
"Fuck, I liked this coat." You complain, staring at the ripped fabric, before your eyes follow the trail of blood to the fridge and back up to Minho's irritated expression.
You manage a grimace and an apology. "Sorry, Min?"
"Sorry for what?" Jisung appears then, rubbing at his eyes, still heavy with sleep, his dark hair a mess, and you grin at him, holding up your arm for him to see as he moves his gaze to you blearily.
"For bleeding all over Minho's perfectly clean floor."
Jisung's eyes go wide, and he hurries across the kitchen to you, taking your arm carefully in his hands, his jaw dropping.
"Are those.....bite marks?"
You wince slightly as his fingers prod carefully over the open wound, but arch a brow at him and smirk teasingly when he meets your gaze once more.
"Don't worry, Sung. It wasn't anyone you knew."
Jisung rolls his eyes as you laugh, and Minho is sighing, moving past the two of you to get the first aid kit from the bathroom, calling over his shoulder with clear annoyance, "And what did we say about weapons on the table?"
"Sorry, babe!" You singsong back as he disappears from sight.
Jisung releases your arm, settling into the chair beside you, eying you carefully.
"Does it hurt?"
You shrug, digging back into your food. "Not really. Too much adrenaline still."
Jisung cocks his head. "So you got them?"
You wink at him. "I always get them, Sung."
You go back to eating, and Jisung goes back to quietly keeping you company.
It shouldn't work. You all know that.
Two werewolves and the very hunter tasked with taking out their kind, but it does, and none of you question it.
Minho returns, shooing Jisung out of the seat next to you as he lays the contents of the first aid kit on the table, pulling out some thread and a sharp needle as he glances over at you.
"Arm please."
You stretch out your arm dutifully in front of him, allowing him full access to the bite, and Jisung takes your empty plate over to the sink, choosing to not watch this particular part of the process.
He's never been one for too much blood.
Minho swipes disinfectant across the wound, and you hiss, but hold still, as he begins to stitch it closed. It stings, a pinching, hot pain, but you've been patched up by Minho enough that you know it won't last long.
"So." He says, in between even, careful stitches, his eyes narrowed in concentration. "Do I need to worry about you getting rabies from this?"
You snort, and Jisung returns to sit beside you as Minho finishes up the first row of sutures, tugging your skin closed as he brushes aside the tatters of your coat sleeve.
"Nah. It was a dangerous stray situation, but I've had all my shots."
Jisung taps his fingers along the table, and you reach out with your free hand to cover his hand with yours, giving him a gentle smile.
"Sung."
He looks up at you, eyes dark with worry, and you squeeze his fingers between your own.
"I'm fine."
"You smell weird. Like wet dog. I don't like it."
You chuckle, reaching up to knock him lightly under the chin. "I"ll wash up as soon as Min is done, okay? Promise."
Jisung nods, biting his bottom lip, before he says hesitantly, "You know how we discussed...things the other day? The rules?"
You cock your head in surprise, watching him carefully. "Yeah?"
"If it means we can be seen in public together, I'll do it."
Your brow arches in surprise. "What?"
Jisung straightens his shoulders. "I know the order requires werewolves in society to be 'tamed-'" He makes finger quotes and a face of disgust but keeps going. "-so if wearing a collar in public makes it possible for us-the three of us-" He glances at Minho, whose hands have stilled and gaze is on him. "-to do things together, then I'll do it."
You squeeze his hand harder. "Are you sure?"
Minho is still, staring at Jisung.
"Yeah." Jisung nods, giving you a little hint of a relieved smile. "But I have one condition."
You grin. "Anything."
"If I can get it in pink, I want it in pink."
You laugh, leaning over to kiss him. "I'll get you the pinkest, prettiest collar I can find, baby boy."
Jisung looks satisfied, grinning now, sitting back in his chair and pulling your joined hands to rest in his lap.
You glance at Minho, who still hasn't moved, and lower your voice, glancing down to his blood stained finger tips.
"Min?"
He sighs, tucking away the needle and thread, before he gets up to wash his hands.
With his back to you, he says, "Fine. But I'm not wearing that shit at home. Or anywhere we're alone."
Jisung grins and claps, jumping up to wrap his arms around the other werewolf's narrow waist.
"We promise, hyung! Unless, of course, you wanna wear it for something kinky or some shit."
You consider with a smirk, Minho glaring at both of you. "I could be into that."
"You're incredible." He says dryly, holding you in his glare, even as Jisung hugs him tighter and presses a kiss to his neck.
"Aw, thanks!" You wink, reaching to grab your gun and knife off the table, pushing yourself up to put them away properly.
"Not a compliment, babe."
"I'll still take it as one!" You call over your shoulder, heading down the hall to your room and the waiting shower.
"Wait!" Jisung yells back, and you hear him scrambling across the floor in the kitchen. "I wanna shower with you!"
You grin to yourself, warmth settling firmly into your chest, as you put your weapons away and head to the bathroom and the waiting Jisung.
You're not even that mad about your coat anymore.

"If its meant to be it'll be." PT. 2
Ex’s to lovers 🤍
Part 1 Part 3
Summary: You and Han have been dating for 3 months but have been best friends for a long time and one day while you’re getting ready you get an unexpected text from him.
Warnings: Angst (sorta)
Han Jisung x Fem Reader
——————————————
She was rotting in bed , with her tubs of ice-cream filling up her nightstand. She groaned at the sound of her phone going off. "Who is it?" with an annoyed tone. She grabbed her phone and looked at her notification, her eyes went wide and then filled with anger. It was Han. She didn't wanna hear from him and now he's asking for his clothes and belongings back? made her pissed off even more that she has to see him again.
"Mhm' - Y/N
The text was dry and simple she wasn't giving him any exictement or happiness, she didn't even care to get ready for him coming over. She threw on a robe over her oversized t-shirt and shorts.
Han looked at the message. "No emotion huh?" he commented in his head. He shrugged it off and went a got into the car to go to her place, which was formerly "their" place.
While he was driving, she was packing. She grabbed all his hoodies, shirts, pants, anything he owned. His CD's from other artists anything that reminded her of him she package, besides three items. She still kept one of his hoodies, the black one she thought always looked good on him. It smelt like him to. She kept one of his rings to, It was big, and loose on her finger. The last item she kept was one of his beanies. It fit her head perfectly. She quickly shoved the items under "their" bed. She pushed the boxes into the living room waiting for him to arrive.
He arrived and knocked on the door and she opened it. He gazed at her for a while. Her face was red and puffy and she looked like a mess. Maybe he felt a little bad?.
"You look miserable" - He implied
"You think i wouldn't be after all this? im sorry im not like you who can move on so fast Han!" - She yelled, and turned away from him letting him enter the house.
'Jesus, calm down now." - He looked at the boxes packaged up.
"Whatever, now get your shit and leave.' - She replied not looking at him and having her arms crossed.
"You know, you don't have to mean to me right?" - He said in a cocky tone.
"So you expect me to be nice to you after you broke my heart!?" - She looked at him.
"Yeah?" - He said picking up all the boxes.
"Your a fool Han Ji-sung." - Her tone was serious.

This man was absolutely weak towards you.
Just you having anywhere near his sight, get's him weak.
You smiled at him? He's a blushing mess.
You held his hand? He's red as cherry and steam is starting to come out out his head.
So in a nutshell, he's weakness is basically you. Just your presence alone. Just get's him weak in the knees.
Also this man is very romantic, which caught you off guard the moment you two started dating.
Giving you some sweet gesture, and planning surprise for you.
And also this man likes to be pampered, like a lot.
You stroking his hair while he sat on your lap or you sitting on your lap and leaning against you.
And eventually falling asleep on you.
And also, this man get's jealous very easily but it may not be noticeable.
Eun-sung would literally internally pouting, seeing another person flirting with you.
If looks could kill, that person would be 6ft underground.
He would glaring hard at them until they notice and back off.
But if that doesn't happen, then Eun-Sung would come over and wrapped his arms around you while directly looking at the person, telling them to fuck off.
A lot of people were shocked that Eun-Sung was dating.
And a lot of people were jealous, the fact that you were dating Eun-Sung Han himself, and that he was soft around you. It made everyone jealous and you were proud that you got someone like Eun-Sung to be your boyfriend.
Whenever you two get in a argument, Eun-Sung would not be shouting at you.
His voice would be growling and deep, trying to keep the anger in and trying not to shout at you.
If he's the one at fault, it would take many hours for him to realize that. So he would give you some flowers, while apologizing and was even ready to do what you wanted just for you to forgive him.
But if you were the one at fault, then Eun-sung would give you some time and after awhile, you would come through the door and apologize to him. With some flowers, or anything in hand.
But if both of you are at fault, then the two of you would cool off and then the both of you would apologize.
When it comes to anniversary, Eun-Sung doesn't really make a big deal about it. But if you do, Eun-Sung would buy you a expensive gift and then take you out on a date on a expensive restaurant.
But if you really don't make a big deal about it, then Eun-Sung would greet you and still take you out for dinner.
A lot of people are afraid of you, since you are dating Eun-sung Han himself, it made people scared that they would piss of Eun-Sung by messing with you. And then getting themselves beat up the man himself.
So a lot of people tried to get on your good side, in hopes that they would not make an enemy of Eun-Sung himself.
This just likes being around you, he doesn't want to be away from you for even one second.
So he would complain, at the fact he has to go to meeting putting your date on hold.
So... in summary, this man is a simp.

Call It Love (2023)
Tumblr media
When is a revenge story not a revenge story? When you Call It Love instead!
This show could have turned into a trainwreck at several points. Instead, it managed to surprise and (occasionally) delight. While I had some quibbles with the ending, I think it's good to focus the show's strengths.
What Worked
The characters are what made the show. Even when the plot meandered a bit, and the pacing slowed down, the characters pulled you through. Because they were relatable and interesting. Even when they made questionable choices, they were always the choices you might have wanted to make in the situation, even if you knew better.
That comes through in the first few episodes where the FL crashes her estranged father's funeral and makes a scene just to try and get some kind of revenge. And the ML takes money from his estranged mother even though he knows he shouldn't. And the entire family just decides to leave their home of twenty years rather than calling a dang lawyer to figure this out. And let's not even talk about the ex-girlfriend who decides to try and patch things up with her old flame by secretly moving in next door...
What Didn't Work
The last three or four episodes just didn't have enough story going on. And so the audience ended up watching the characters walk artistically through the streets of their neighborhood while we waited for them to do the thing we all know they're going to do. I would honestly rather they have showed the characters discussing and reacting to finding the will—or just talking at all—instead of padding each episode with 10 minutes of walking. I also got annoyed with the way they dragged the main love story out in the last two episodes. I can understand needing space to figure out some of the messed up stuff going on, but there was no reason for them to (spoilers) need to take an entire year off to figure this stuff out! I think the writers just had the last scene in mind and pushed the ending towards it instead of justifying it.
Lastly, Disney FFS get some real subtitles, I'm glad they have close captioning (in English no less), but they need an option that cuts out the [Dongjin smacks his lips] nonsense. Was it a push to make people listen to the dubs instead? Are they just too cheap to pay someone to do both? Who knows. Also, I think the translators did an okay job, but there were times when I was like "that's not what they really said, was it?" and I don't even know much Korean.
The Performances
The writing on this show is a little sparse. The writers chose to make people talk like real people most of the time, which means that so much of the characterization is on the actors and their delivery. And they did a good job across the board.
Kim Young-kwang as Han Dong-jin. Dong-jin is a very private, internalizing person and it would easy for an actor to play him too stiff and stoic. Kim Young-kwang did a very good job of letting people see inside what he was thinking and feeling mostly through subtle gestures and changes in tone. He wasn't magnetic like alot of other leads, but he still had a way of bringing people in and quietly getting their attention. At least he did for me, though maybe there were other people who got bored and stopped watching after a few episodes!
Lee Sung-kyung as Shim Woo-joo. Woo-joo was another quiet person, though she's someone who is quietly angry at the world and sometimes has no filter. She did a great job portraying this through most of the series. I think she had trouble with some of the softer scenes towards the end of the series. I haven't seen her in other shows, so I can't tell if it was a direction problem or if she just didn't know how to portray someone who is loose and comfortable, but there were several scenes when it felt like I was watching a statue. I'll still enjoy watching her next project, whenever that comes out.
Sung Joon as Yoon-jun. This was a case where the second lead couple was more fun to watch than the first lead, and Sung Joon's performance was a big reason why. When the show was at its most melodramatic, Yoon-jun just took it in stride and kept it all grounded. I especially enjoyed the way he and the second lead Kim Ye-won played off their slow moving friends-to-lovers arc, but the friendship with Shim Woo-joo was also nice, and I loved to see that kind of non-romantic friendship portrayed in a show.
Kim Ye-won as Shim Hye-seong. I enjoyed her role in Suspicious Partner even though the show annoyed me overall. She was a much more relatable character here. I looked forward to her scenes because you could never tell what Hye-seong was going to do. The character was interesting and multi-faceted and Kim Ye-won did a good job bringing that through.
Nam Gi-ae as Ma Hee-ja (aka the "Evil Mom"). I've seen her in a number of similar roles and this isn't too different from her character in Encounter (for example), but I feel like she got it right this time, where she was too over-the-top in others. I think the writing helped, but ultimately it's her performance. She did an excellent job portraying a believable type of narcissist. She was completely shameless and selfish when she needed to be, and also weak and pathetic when she needed to be. Sometimes she was only in the show for a few minutes, but it felt like a long time because she was so intense and interesting. Great job playing a terrible person.
Kim Hee-jung as Kim Hyun-Joo (aka the "Good Mom"). I saw her briefly in Start-up and her role there wasn't very memorable, but she did a great job here. The main characters all spent the first eight episodes or more threatening to call her in when they felt Woo-joo was out of line, and when Hyun-joo finally showed up you could see why they were all intimidated! A strong presence and definitely one of my favorite characters on the show.
Jang Sung-Bum as Sim Ji-Gu. I really liked the character. The long suffering younger son with two older sisters is kind of a comic staple in these dramas, but he still managed to make the role fun and interesting rather than cliche. He also did a good job with the musical interludes, though that was another part of the show that felt a little indulgent. Still a fun actor to watch.
Ahn Hee-yeon (aka Hani) as Kang Min-yeong. In a different show, the "clingy ex-girlfriend" character could be a second antagonist, but the problem is that she's pretty great and everyone likes her! That's what happens when you cast a k-pop singer and just let her be charming! Hee-yeon wasn't a show stopper, but she did a good job with the role she was given, and I liked where the writers took her character. It was nice to see a story where sometimes decent people end up making terrible decisions (for reasons that make sense), and it's how you move forward that matters. There really wasn't much for the actor to do in the last 4 episodes, but it was nice to have her around for most of the show.
Jun Suk-Ho as Choi Sun-Woo (aka "Lazy Boss"). I enjoyed this character and the actor was obviously having alot of fun with the role. It was nice to see the character go from being part of the problem at the start of the series, to being a strong and supportive character by the end. I also liked his friendship (though maybe more?) with Min-yeong and how that changed over the series as well.
Kim Mi-Hwa as Sim Woo's Aunt. They didn't even give her a name! Just a fun comic character that I would have liked to see more of. The actor did a good job giving a personality to someone whose role in the show was mostly to deliver important news to the main characters.
Everyone else. They actually did a good job making the corporate backstabbing interesting. The actors playing CEO Shin, Cha Young-min, and all the minions were suitably slimy. The other office workers had memorable moments even when they kind of blended together. I even thought the other colorful characters (like the new "Bad Boyfriend with a Gambling Problem" and "Boyfriend's gambling buddy") were fun to watch. With a few exceptions, this was a show that treated its minor characters well.
TL;DR:
The overall message of the show, that revenge is ultimately empty and you need justice and reconciliation to move forward is nice. There were times when the show was a little slow and indulgent, but the characters and their stories always brought me back for more. Overall, an enjoyable drama.

Lookism. 외모지상주의. Ep. 1-308. 7.6/10
I would not recommend this webtoon to my friends. I would not reread this webtoon.
Despite the drawing being so unattractive to me, I think it's brilliantly made. When mom is sad, the illustrations show it amazingly. Really captures the feels. I hate the eyes that look like lips. I don't like how superficial everything is. Determining your worth based on looks and wealth. I hate how everyone is so quick to fight. I don't know anyone like that in real life. PTJ Enter is a trash place, huh. Hyunseok's actions versus thoughts being like doing bad things to others and then hating himself for it, it's something I really don't vibe with despite knowing many people who are like that. It's difficult for me to comprehend the point of regretting something you actively chose to do again and again while knowing how horrible it is. And it's not something bad to yourself, but to others. Hyun Seok's gradual realizations of how much he lacks as a person or how badly he treats others is something to think about. I'm enjoying how he wants to improve himself when realizing that you can't just blame the world for your situation. The stalker episode disgusts me and freaks me out. Lee Tae Sung is so angry for no reason. Ji Ho is a real piece of trash. I'm so disgusted at the perverted other guys on the train during our trip to Jaeyeol's villa. I didn't love when the drawing style changed and everyone was kinda re-introduced, and the plotline really strayed from high school lookism to moreso this gang culture.
Basco's tears are my favorite thing. They happen so amusingly. I also love his backstory being a thing. His bullying was messed up. What a cool kid, he is. Jae Yeol my favorite character. Favorite episode is when it's all about Jae Yeol and there is literally no dialogue. Basco and Bum Jae's relationship is beautiful. Love the ET tat being for his name. I love how Inu is always like idc about what's going just get out ya'll! I love how Jinsung matures throughout and sees how to better himself. Basco's bday cake is soo cute. I love how much Jinsung loves Mi Jin. Jae Yeol's amusement park ride top selca is very nice. The episode of finding Hyun Seok's identity was so thrilling. I love that the lookism logo becomes floral during the blind date episode. I approve of the Miru and Jaebeom love line. I like that Jang Jin Hyuk draws.
Hyunseok needs to stop accidentally drinking alc. Get it together. This webtoon is so extreme all the time. Taesung losing all that weight is so random. In the amusement park episode, it's amazing to read Korean but with a dialect.
Lmaoo at Jae Yeol's extra episodes having no dialogue whatsoever. Lmaoo not Inu saving small Hyunseok from the Han River. Lmaoo at the Burn Knuckle's duck's function being 분위기. Lmaoo at BTS being in here. Lmaoo at Basco and Hyung Seok being able to communicate with Jae yeol. Lmaoo at Basco protecting his bear family.
Poor Hye Eun.
Omg Jae Yeol giving Hyun Seok all those nice clothes for his birthday is the sweetest thing. All nonchalant, how cool. Him lying with the birthday letter is all eeeek for me. Basco is also so cool for caring for the underdogs.
Uee getting beat up for cheating was crazy. Bruhhh, everything was so messed up as Heemin beat up Jinsung and Wonbin. Can you believe how messed up the situation is? Yeah, messed up of Jinsung to throw Basco's heroman gift into the water with a rock in it instead. Haneul's love for Hyungseok is so crazy and respectable. Dating Tae Sung and suffering like that? What kinda love?
Why do the police look like little animals? How are we in such extreme situations with such extreme people? How does Ji Ho always get into such messes?
The Kim Poong cooking show guy literally looks like Wes Chan to me.
Memorable Quotes: "순간이 쌓여 추억이된다," "나를 극복해보고 싶어요." "싸움을 시작했으면 죽일각오로 싸워야하고."

Okay, so imagine you went on a date with any character from Hwarang. What's the most (funny) catastrophic scenario you can think of and who would it be with?
I went on a date with Yeo Wool to the Cheesecake Factory which ended with me getting a bloody nose from being punched by Han Sung at a Taco Bell- because Han Sung got jealous of me being with his man.

To My Star 2 - Episode 1 - 4
Okay, I am still an emotional mess. This show hits a bit too hard into open wounds and is beautifully bitter and aching at the same time.
I loved that the characters felt like they did in season one. Ji Woo and Seo Joon are still the same and their decisions and reactions were still the same and made sense to me. I loved the flashbacks because at some point you need a reminder of why Seo Joon is trying so hard, and what he is fighting for because tbh I wouldn't have the willpower he has especially because Ji Woo is so determined to hurt him.
I understand that they have a larger budget now and can afford more locations and more actors and I adore the child actress. Those sassy kids always put a nice atmosphere in the shows and I think it's great that they have her. While I was taken aback by how they introduced her I loved how they kind of subverted that trope of 'Oh yeah he suddenly has a child' XD
I don't understand why Sung Yoon is there though. I want her to be more than just an ex to make Seo Joon jealous. I love how she goes toe to toe with Seo Joon and Ji Woo makes it pretty clear that he has no interest in her but I think it kind of weird that they try to imply she is interested in Ji Woo? Someone who has been gone for so long and hadn't been in contact with him and suddenly they are back and want to rekindle?
I now have this side story in my mind that she falls in love with Han Yoo Ha's mother and they live their best lesbian life. But yeah, curious about where they will go with her.
The truth is, I struggle with the concept they try to establish regarding their break-up and how they decided to orchestrate their (hopefully) getting together. I cannot be objective when we have Ji Woo, a closed-off character who constantly pushes Seo Joon away in contrast to Seo Joon, who appears desperate. The desperation kills me and while I don't always think, especially in a break-up, that the other party deserves/needs to know all the whys and reasons this just hurts.
Ji Woo was always good at hurting Seo Joon, or should I say they were always good at sniffing out the points that hurt the most in the other.
The kiss at the end... that was the moment I was ready to punch Ji Woo and take Seo Joon to safety. From all the cruel things Ji Woo had said and done, which in the light of their break up and the fact we have no idea why etc I would have accepted as a by-product of that, this was the cruellest he could have done. Because he knows how much Seo Joon is suffering, how much he cares, and how he practically begs Ji Woo to be honest with him and just tell him why.
It's important now that we shift into Ji Woo's POV because in season 1 we just got hints as to what had happened in the past to him and why in addition to his closed-off/private personality he has this much sadness and also bitterness in his heart.
I love this show. I love how this is a story about these two men who have to face a conflict that comes from within them. It aches and it frustrates me and I cannot wait to see where they go with the story. You can feel the care they put into this and even the care between Ji Woo and Seo Joon and to be honest no matter how ridiculous Ji Woo's reasoning might turn out to be, they make be care for that too.
Oh my, this hurts in all the right ways.

slip n slide | han jisung
Tumblr media
>> masterlist
♥ pairing: han jisung x gn! reader
♥ genre: fluff, valentine's day special, drabble (1k)
♥ warnings: none
♥ a/n: so...this is my first time writing something so short. I tried to make it gn but if I slipped up, please let me know. Enjoy <3
ps: this was written for the @newskynet Valentine's Day special event. the prompts I used were: 20. “Babe.” / “Since when do you call me babe?” and 25. “I love you.”
Tumblr media
“Come on Jisung, slow down,” you shouted at your boyfriend who was running a few steps ahead of you, laughing like a maniac as you tried to catch up to him.
“You'll have to catch me, sweetheart,” he sing songed.
“But it's really slippery,” you whined, “I could slip and break something.”
“You're not that clumsy, are you?”
Speak of the devil. Just as he said that you could feel yourself lose your footing as your right foot slid across the frosty surface.
“Aaaahhh,” you screeched, closing your eyes and preparing for the inevitable fall.
But it never came.
You slowly opened your eyes to see Jisung grinning from ear to ear at your confused expression.
Seems like he managed to catch you just in time, his hands steady around your waist as he kept you from falling flat on your butt. You felt your cheeks heat up at the whole ordeal. Why were you such a damn klutz?
“I caught you just in time, what would you do without me sugar?” he smirked, smugness lacing his tone.
“Oh shut up,” you retorted, swatting his face away as you finally steadied yourself on your feet. You took a few shaky steps before finally regaining your balance, patting him on the head and yelling: “tag, you're it.”
You ran as fast as you could leaving your confused boyfriend in the dust. You maneuvered through all the other couples, trying to avoid bumping into anyone and ruining their date. You see - with the current situation, you weren't the only ones who decided to celebrate valentine's day in the park. All the restaurants, cinemas, and other establishments were closed, so you had to find other ways to enjoy yourselves.
You two had agreed to meet in the park after lunch and just mess around and have fun.
About five minutes have passed in the meantime, and you were starting to wonder, where was Jisung and why he hasn't caught up with you yet. You were about to turn around and go look for him but a sudden noise near you, coupled with hands on your shoulders made you freeze in your spot.
You yelped in surprise but quickly calmed down after seeing who it was.
“Jisung!” you scolded, “don't do this to me you meanie.”
The pout on your face made him coo as he slung his arm around your shoulder, moving in the direction of the hot chocolate stand.
“And you're a cutie. C'mon, let's go get something warm.”
You could feel yourself heat up again. And it definitely wasn't because of the chilly weather. You wordlessly followed him, contemplating on how did you even manage to get such a loving boy as a boyfriend.
You had lucked out in the love department, that was for sure.
As you two walked down the path in hopes of getting a warm drink, Jisung kept joking around throwing in some compliments here and there. You felt your heart skip a beat every single time, still not used to his treatment.
“What's wrong Y/N? Everything ok?”
“Yeah, I'm just happy,” you smiled, taking his palm in yours fondly.
It was his turn to blush now, he quickly turned to face the side, waiting for the redness on his cheeks to subside.
“Oohh,” you teased, “got a taste of your own medicine, haven't we.”
“Yes,” the agreement came surprisingly quickly, “but I still haven't shown you what I'm capable of.”
Laughing at your confused state, he placed his hands under your body and swiped you off your feet.
“Sung!” you screeched, in annoyance and delight alike as he ran down the park, scaring all the couples away and making them involuntarily clear the way for you.
“Put me down. Right now!” you ordered but the will to fight left your body a long time ago.
“Just a second babe, we're almost there.”
“Hey! Since when do you call me babe?” you questioned, quirking your eyebrow.
“Since now babe. Look, there's the hot chocolate stand. Quick, before there'll be a line,” he ushered you towards the booth.
You tried to go there but two older men stood your way. It seemed like trouble, Jisung seemingly thought so too as he pushed you behind him, acting as a shield.
“What do you want? Why won't you let us through?” he barked.
“Oh sorry, we just wanted to ask if you were interested in getting professional photographs done...they're two dollars each. You know - since it's Valentine's and all.”
The two of you looked at each other surprised, not expecting to be asked something like that. “D-do you want to get them?” Jisung asked you.
“Umm, sure...I guess.”
“Okay,” he shrugged, clasping your hand and walking over to where the two photographers went.
“Stand in this circle,” one of them instructed, pointing at the fading circle drawn with a piece of chalk. The other one in the meantime prepared the camera, pointing it at the two of you as he readied for the “photo shoot”.
“Now do a funny pose.”
You stood there awkwardly, not knowing how you should pose but thankfully, Jisung wasn't one to shy away from PDA.
He initiated many different poses, ranging from holding you bridal style, making funny faces, and even kissing your cheek on the last one.
You almost combusted from the embarrassment, Jisung seemingly not minding all the poses he just did, perfectly unbothered like always.
“Thank you very much,” he smiled, handing them a crisp banknote.
“Come on babe, let's get the hot chocolate.”
“Coming,” you ran after him, only to enfulg him in a bear hug much to his surprise.
“I love you Jisung,” you muttered shyly.
“Oh, babe...I love you too, I was kind of hoping to say it first today,” he admitted sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck.
“Doesn't matter who said it first.”
“Well, I'll at least say it more times. I love you,” he groaned into the embrace.

space shanty anon back again (i know, will I ever shut up!) but, as I was listening through shanties today, I found one that struck me as very ObiWan centric (specifically after the war, don't picture him singing it quietly to tiny Luke on the way to tattooine bc then you'll become a crying mess like me) it's called "Here's a Health to the Company", don't picture him thinking about satine and anakin and all the people he's sung this with and now lost as he braves through each verse for luke
aww, anon, i love your sea shanty recs and your takes, because!!! i appreciate them, and they make me happy!!
and oh gee, yeah okay so i’m listening to here’s a health to the company right now, and this is the kind of shanty that i can very easily picture being sung very, very quietly, so that image of obi-wan humming/singing it quietly makes me want to cry too :’((
also....braving through each verse for luke:
come lift up your voices, all grief to refrain / for we may or might never all meet here again
ha. this line with obi-wan “all my friends are dead” kenobi....ha.
and if ever i should meet you by land or by sea / i will always remember your kindness to me
oh no. oh dear. oh no....no i don’t like this because you ever think about how obi-wan must have thought about how like...there are so many people that he never got to say a real goodbye to/might have left things on a bad note with (ha. hahahahaa) and still. is trying to think about at least the good memories ha hahahaaa
but also.....you know, now i’m listening to this version of the song, and now i feel oddly sad because it’s a little livelier, so now i have this funny little idea of luke somehow remembering bits and snatches of a song that he must have heard as a kid.......like, as the galaxy celebrates the fall of the empire, this song actually picks up, and luke gets excited because wait, he knows this song, he remembers this song, and this is where he gets leia and han to join, and it’s just. things come full circle this way.
(as the voices of the living reach the stars, obi-wan smiles.)
**edit: also, i feel like it’s worth noting that it is because of this ask that my current writing vibes playlist now has a bunch of sea shanties--
