Drabble Month, Day 8: Nickname ˚⁎⁺ Levi x GN!Reader
CONTENT — Sweet rotting fluff, sfw. Written for @thedrabblecollective as part of the AOT Vets Drabble Month. Divider by @cafekitsune.
“Hey, has anyone ever given you a nickname?”
“No.”
Levi turns on his pillow, watching you.
You seem half-asleep. “M’gonna call you… beloved when we’re alone, m’kay?”
At that, Levi’s breath catches. “… Huh?”
“Beloved. Because that’s what… you—” A yawn. “—are to me.”
And then you’re asleep.
Levi, on the other hand, is now wide awake. His heart drums wildly.
Beloved… is he really?
Shit, it sounds so cheesy, he ought to tell you. But… he also liked the way it rolled off your tongue, liked that you bestowed it on him.
Fine.
Levi supposes there’s... worse things to be called.

post-war, canonverse, semi-public sex, fingering, fem!reader, some light degradation, dry humping, MDNI
w/c: ~ 1630
Everything has been so new lately.
Moving to Marley after the war had been an easy decision, but that didn’t mean the physical act of settling into a new place wasn’t without its hurdles. Mostly, it was about adjusting—getting used to the advances in technology that wasn’t present on Paradis. Telephones, cars, radios, even electric stoves were commonplace things that Levi still marveled at.
And then, there was also you.
More specifically, the way you’d both found yourselves quite suddenly thrust into a life after war, a life without titans and the looming threat of death hanging over your heads like a dense fog.
As former comrades, it only made sense once the smoke cleared to navigate this new world together. And Levi was more than happy to experience all manner of firsts at your side.
It’s through this different layer of companionship that Levi learns so many new things about you. How you like your eggs in the morning, how tired you get after having too much pasta, the way the hair at the back of your head always sticks up the next day if you go to sleep with it still wet. He learns how you organize your books on your shelves (by size) and how when you’re having a bad day and tell him to leave you alone, you don’t actually mean it.
He’s always known how to make you laugh, but after eight months of living together under the same roof, he learns how to make you moan. It’s a sound he’d like to bottle forever, the sight of your body arched beneath him a vision too precious to look away for even a second. Even with only one good eye, he soaks it in like you’re a dream that’ll fade if he blinks.
He learns that he likes kissing, and you do too. So, when you lean across the center console of his brand new car at Marley’s drive-in movie theater one summer night, he doesn’t think much of it. At least, not until your hands start wandering and he finds himself pulled into the backseat.
You give him very little time to recover from the surprise of being pulled from his seat before your lips are on his again. The leather of the upholstery groans as you straddle his narrow waist and on instinct, Levi reaches out, eyes still closed as he guides you onto his lap.
His palm splays over the skirt of your dress, hiking it up a little in his haste. When he feels the fabric, he pulls away slightly.
He gently squeezes your thigh, watching the cloth bunch a little in his grasp. The sound of your breath hitching in your throat makes him look up. “What’s got you so worked up, hm?”
Above him, forming words feels borderline impossible. Not while his thumb is drawing circles on the inside of your thigh and he’s looking up at you through those delightfully full lashes. It strikes you that this facet of your relationship is still relatively new, so the warmth on your cheeks doesn’t feel out of place when you swallow around your meekness and say, “You.”
“Me?” Levi’s brows raise, but he thinks he gets it. The moment you’d walked out of your room in this little number, his mind had gone straight to the gutter.
Like he’s revisiting the memory, his hands begin to slowly trail every part of you his eyes drift over—thumbs tracing the tantalizing curve of your breasts, down the silky material over your waist before resting his palms on your hips. When he gives you another subtle squeeze, you roll against him, feeling the hardening outline of his cock through his trousers against your core.
“Can’t help it,” you breathe out slowly, like you're making every effort to remain composed, but the strain in your voice betrays the neediness beneath.
Your palms drift over the soft fabric of his shirt, moving over firm muscle. They’re not as defined as they once were, but you relish in his solid warmth all the same. Enamored by him, always.
He lets you explore unimpeded. You’ve always been handsy—checking him for signs of injury or illness when he inevitably pushed himself too far during expeditions. Now he’s grown used to the way that protective tendency has turned into an act of appreciation and fondness. It makes something light and airy form in his chest when you lean down again to kiss him.
“These windows aren’t tinted,” he says a moment later. The warning is half-hearted and murmured mostly against your lips, in conflict with the way his hands keep you anchored where you are.
His feeble hesitation makes you laugh.
You settle further into his lap, nearly chest to chest now. You can feel the way his breathing has grown labored against you. “No one’s looking at us, Levi.”
It is dark, at least. He has enough sense still to acknowledge that the large screen up front will be capturing most peoples’ attention, even though it’s currently in an intermission right now. There are only fifteen minutes between the double features tonight. A shame, he thinks. When it comes to you especially, he always likes to take his time.
You move your attention to the curve of his jaw, peppering hot, pillowy kisses down the expanse of his neck before suckling the sensitive flesh of his clavicle, and every thought not focused on the present stops.
He closes his eyes, caught between the feeling of your lips on his neck and your warm cunt gliding over his cockhead. Even through several layers of clothes, pleasure rushes through him with each rut of your hips. You’re so warm and pretty that it’s dizzying.
In retaliation, a thumb swipes over your clothed clit, and Levi smirks when your movements almost completely stop. Behind you, the large screen lights up and Levi watches in the soft blue light as you lean back slightly, mouth slightly agape in a silent gasp.
“Never took you for an exhibitionist,” he says, the reflection of the movie behind you mirrored in his unclouded iris.
Before you can say anything, he hooks two fingers around your panties and pulls them to the side, sliding the digits through the arousal that’s already beginning to soak into the cotton.
“I-I’m not,” you attempt to defend, but the protest comes out weak and shaky with his movements.
“Is that right?” Levi asks, his tone mildly condescending. “Well, the fact that you’re grinding on top of me right now says otherwise.”
The pressure of his fingers on your cunt makes it difficult to think. If you were in your right mind, you might be embarrassed about the way the windows have started to fog, but you can only be grateful for the extra coverage.
The air is thick and your body feels like it’s on fire. Every brush of Levi’s fingers on your skin sends you aflame. His injured hand anchors you in place, thumb rubbing soothing circles into the flesh of your hip while his other hand continues to pick you apart, making your knees quiver.
Your voice is a strained gasp against the shell of his ear. “Like you’re not hard already just from kissing.”
“I never said I wasn’t.”
The hand on your hip lowers, and for a moment you think he’s gesturing for you to get up, but the new position allows his other hand to slide down. Two fingers quickly bottom out inside your cunt.
Your features pinch with the effort it takes to keep yourself quiet.
“There you go,” Levi coos, smug as your fingers struggle for purchase on his shoulders. “Is that what you wanted?”
His cock, his fingers, his mouth. All three. You want to tell him that you’d gladly take anything he’d give you, but all you can do is pant uselessly into his neck and try to hold on.
“Couldn’t wait until we got home, hm?” Levi continues, his fingers pumping and curling in such a way to make you see stars in your vision. “Needy thing.”
You clench around him, spurred on by his words. “Levi.”
He keeps talking, undeterred. A glow appears in his eyes as you rock into his palm, meeting his movements. “Dirty girl, fucking my fingers like this in the open.”
Pleasure coils in your belly. You grasp helplessly against his sturdy neck, cheeks burning and nails dragging over the soft fuzz of his undercut as it continues to build and build. The pressure of his thumb on your clit pulls all of your muscles taut.
When your moans become wispy and delicate gasps of air, he knows you’re right on the edge.
“Let go, sweetheart,” Levi murmurs. “You can come.”
Your orgasm hits you like a train. With a single gasp of his name, you come undone. Levi holds you through it as you shudder and spasm, his free arm now wrapped around your waist.
When you pull back, your eyes are bleary and content. Every muscle in your body seems to relax against him.
Levi pulls his hand from between your legs. “Satisfied?”
“Mmm,” is all you can manage. The aftershocks still continue to wash over you, making you feel boneless and tired.
When they subside, you give him a quick peck and slide off of his lap, climbing back into the front passenger seat.
Levi follows with a grunt. When he settles back into the driver’s seat, he buckles his seatbelt and starts the car.
You turn, confused. “What are you doing? The movie isn’t over.”
Slowly, he eases out of the parking spot toward the exit. Just before he turns onto the road, he gives you an incredulous look.
“You think I can focus on anything else after that?” From the streetlight above, you can finally see the deep shade of pink tinting his neck and face. “I’m taking you home so I can really make you scream.”

Scout
levi x blind!fem!reader cw: 3.1k words and it's all just stupid comfort/fluff LMAO. cussing, one or two mentions of bodies/death/scars/and the likes, but still sfw. barely proofread. tldr: levi slowly comes to respect the stupid stray cat you found ♡ if you want, find more silly levi drabbles in my masterlist!!
You had just finished making yourself dinner when you first heard the scratching at the front door, barely audible over the thunder and downpour from the raging storm outside. Levi was caught up at the headquarters, so you cautiously cracked the door, careful not to let any rain in as you greeted whatever was there.
You yelped as you felt the thing fly through the bottom of your skirt and into the house, it’s little scratches and thumps bouncing around the room as it ran in. You closed the door tightly behind you, thinking whatever it was was probably scared half to death from the startling lightning. It’s obvious it was an animal of some sort, as you felt it’s matted, sopping fur when it brushed it against your leg.
“Hello?” You softly called. “What are you, little thing?”
Careful not to bump into more furniture and further frighten the creature, you slowly crept around the kitchen and sitting room, calling and whispering. It was when you wandered by the piano when you heard the sound of soft lapping under it— The thing was licking itself dry.
“Excuse me,” You slowly come to a squat before it. “Are you scared? How can I help you?”
The creature made no effort to respond in any way. You sat there for a while before realizing that it wasn’t going to come out any time soon, and you should just go about the rest of your evening until Levi came home and dealt with it. It wasn’t causing any trouble anyways, just a little trail of water where it scampered through the house.
You’re about to take the first bite of dinner when you consider how rude it would be not to serve the thing before yourself— It was a guest, after all. So you picked out a few bites of meat from your dish and poured some water in a small bowl to set on the floor. It wasn’t until you finished eating dinner when you heard it’s paws slowly, quietly pad over to investigate the food. You listened intently, hearing it sniff, lick, and eventually start to chew.
To say you were delighted was an understatement. But in fear of scaring the thing off, you stayed in your chair, paying close attention to how much it ate and drank. When it finished, you felt it cautiously approach your legs. You sat perfectly still as it probed the hem of your skirt and the laces of your shoes— And then you heard it.
Purring.
+++++++++++++++
Levi returned home around nine or ten, sighing as he closed the front door and shrugged his cloak and boots off. You were in the sitting room by then, the cat now dry as it very warily sat on your lap, ready to run at any moment. You didn’t dare touch or pet it, but let it explore as it wanted to since it was the one who was brave enough to hop onto you first. You felt it tense at the sound of Levi coming into the room, but it didn’t waver.
“What is that?” He asked pointedly.
“I’m so happy you’re home—” You whispered, giddy and grinning.
“—What is that?”
“Well it’s a cat, of course,” You paused for a moment, suddenly unsure from Levi’s hesitant reaction. “…Right?”
“Yes, it’s a fucking cat. Why is it in here? Where did you find it?”
“It found me,” You smiled, trying to contain your excitement in a quiet voice. “It was scratching at the door and just ran right in when I went to see what it was. The poor thing was terrified of the storm.”
“Did you feed it?”
“Of course! It ate all the beef I gave it, it must’ve been starving.”
“Great. Now put it back out.”
You frowned. “…Well… I thought maybe we could…”
Levi immediately thought of it’s inevitable death or disappearance. He thought of how he’d have to listen to your sobs or even be the one to bury the thing, just like all the other Scouts he’s had to tend to before. He’s already made up his mind— everything in Levi’s care dies, and therefore, wasn’t going to willingly allow another one be added to the list, human or cat.
“Absolutely not. Cats are dirty and stubborn. We are not keeping that thing.”
“Please, Levi?” You whispered. “It obviously needs a home.”
“No,” Levi approached you, but stopped once the unmoving cat bared its teeth and let out an evil hiss. “This damn thing— Pick it up and we’ll take it outside.”
“Levi, please!” You pouted. “We should wait until it’s stopped storming, it was shivering and cold when it ran in. It’s the least we can do.”
He stared at you in disbelief, then moved to the cat. The two glared at each other, ready to pounce on the other at any moment.
“Fine. But it stays downstairs until then.”
+++++++++++++++
Well… it’s been a week since then.
Levi either refused the acknowledge it or shooed it out of the room. Most of the time, it didn’t listen, or simply ignored him and continued to purr over your lap. The stupid thing followed you everywhere.
You learned that it was a boy kitty, and Levi told you that he’s all black with a faint scar across the side of his face, and that the very tip of an ear is missing. Now that the cat has realized who his friend is, he’d let you gently feel over them while you smothered him with little scratches and kisses whenever you wanted.
“What should we name him, Levi?” You asked one day as the cat lay on your lap, sprawled out on its back while you patted its belly, now full and round from all the delicious treats you constantly fed it.
“We’re not.”
“It can’t be ‘shithead’ or ‘motherfucker’, so don’t even recommend it,” You continued, thinking of all the times you heard Levi do so.
“—You little shithead, get off the table!”
“—Don’t you dare try to scratch me, motherfucker—”
“—Dumb shithead! Get back over here and finish your dinner! We don’t waste food in this house, motherfucker—”
“I think the most suitable answer is to kick it out,” Levi scoffed.
“He’s not an ‘it’, Levi. He’s a man, just like you,” You lowered your head to the cat with a smile and a sweet, light voice. “Isn’t that right, kitty? You’re a big strong man, just like your papa!”
“I am not that thing’s father.”
“Well… If I’m his mother, then what does that make you?” You asked curiously. “You’re definitely not his friend, he’s made that very obvious…”
Levi scoffed again at that, frowning as he watched the brat accept your love with constant purring. Ever since that thing came around, all your attention is on him. Even when you eat dinner, you talk to the cat directly instead of Levi. He doesn’t get any thanks for listening to you play piano anymore, because the damned creature is already on top of the piano lid, purring at the vibrations and music as it quietly urges you to keep going.
“I think his name should be… Scout.”
Levi looked back up to see you already smiling toward him. “…Scout?”
“I think it’s fitting, don’t you?” You gushed. “He’s obviously a brave soldier just like you, Levi. With all his little battle scars, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s courageously fought off a Titan, too!”
Levi couldn’t even answer at first. He felt his heart ache and his eyes soften after your obliviously sweet words. Is that really how you thought of him? Brave and courageous? Still soft and lovable with all the knicks and scars?
“Levi?” You unknowingly blinked up at him. “What do you think?
“…It’s fine.”
+++++++++++++++
Levi and Scout were each others’ biggest enemies.
The two were constantly bickering at each other, much to your dismay. And you were always defending Scout, much to Levi’s dismay.
“You probably scared him, Levi. You should apologize,” You’d frown when he scolded Scout for trying to claw at his ankles when he walked by.
“You shouldn’t yell so loud when he’s up on the table. He probably didn’t have anyone to teach him better…” You’d pout when Levi would call him names across the kitchen.
“Levi! Be gentle with the sweet boy. You would probably hiss if a Titan threw you around like that, too!” You’d chide when you heard Scout screech as Levi would toss him off his work papers. Levi would never hurt the little cat, of course. The tough little stray could handle the light roughhousing with no problem, he’d just act dramatic about it for your attention and pity— And both Levi and Scout knew it.
But Levi couldn’t deny that the bastard made you happy, and far less lonely. He’d watch you work in the garden, knees in the soft dirt as you’d pluck weeds and sing to Scout as he scampered around looking for mice and bugs, somehow knowing not to dig up your precious flowers and vegetables. Levi noticed that you complained less about not sleeping well enough, realizing that Scout’s vibrating weight on your chest and stomach helped ease your mind when you laid down for the night.
The shithead kept you company, something Levi worried about every day without fail. He even overheard a conversation between the two of you one day as he came home. He stalled outside the front door, listening to you ask Scout about what you should make for dinner and gossip about the affair going on down the street.
The damn stray would even meow back sometimes, responding to the especially excited comments you made, even though the dumbass probably thought you were talking about food.
“But listen to this, Scout— Mrs. Garcia is still married! To the man who owns the inn a few blocks over! Can you believe it?!”
“…Meow…”
“Right?! So scandalous!”
So Levi kept his mouth shut, no matter how much he despised the furry brat and wanted him gone. He started to impatiently swipe away any black hairs left on his cloak instead of snapping at him with a sharp tone, and Scout learned to hop off the table as soon as Levi would glare instead of releasing his claws.
The two black-haired, stubborn, and scarred boys silently agreed to mostly leave each other alone, quietly fighting for your attention behind your bleary vision with glares and sneers instead of cussing and hisses, even if they hated each other just as much as they did that first rainy night.
+++++++++++++++
That silent, hateful agreement is what left Levi so confused when his heart dropped upon seeing your frantic tears and every piece of furniture in the house turned over after returning home from work one day. It was another late, stormy night where the rain rattled the windowpanes and the thunder shook the house.
“H-He’s gone, Levi!” You bawled, tears streaming over your splotchy cheeks as you clutched onto Levi’s cloak as soon as he stepped through the door. “I-I can’t find him anywhere! I’ve looked and looked—”
“Calm down,” Levi placed his hands over yours. “He’s a cat, he’s probably just napping in some corner.”
“He’s not, I know he’s not. Scout always comes when I call, and I-I’ve been calling for an hour!” You choked out a sob and lowered your head into his chest. “Oh God, Levi! He’s p-probably already dead—”
“—He is not dead,” Levi was quick to shut down your wretched thoughts. “If he’s not in the house, he probably got outside. Do you know where he was last?”
“He was s-sleeping on the piano while I practiced…” You blubbered. “I heard his snoring when I got up to make dinner, but when I fixed h-his bowl for him… he didn’t come when I called. I’ve been l-looking for him ever since…”
Levi sighed and ventured into the sitting room to investigate. You clutched onto the back of his cloak, following him like the lost cat himself as you sniffled and sobbed. He immediately spotted window above the piano, cracked open to let in the cool, fresh air of the storm.
“The window’s open,” Levi reported. “He probably didn’t know any better and jumped out when he got spooked by the thunder.”
“Of course…” You hiccuped. “I should’ve known better… I should’ve taken him upstairs to cuddle so he wouldn’t be so scared!”
“He’ll just crawl back here tomorrow when he’s hungry.”
You blinked a few times before looking to Levi with a helpless pout. “B-But you’re… you’re going to go look for him, right?”
He glanced at the window, which was being pounded with loud, angry raindrops. “…You mean, right now?”
“Of course, Levi! Scout is probably so scared right now, waiting for you to come and save him!”
There was a pause, long enough for you to hear him exhale slowly through his nose, the way he always did when he had to put up with something he’d rather not be bothered with. But… Levi could never ignore the way your watery eyes and flushed cheeks always affected him.
“Right…”
+++++++++++++++
The dark, stony streets were a maze of puddles and twigs, and every alley looked frustratingly identical under the lamp Levi wielded, which was dangerously close to being put out from the pelting rain. His black hair stuck to his forehead, his clothes were uncomfortably heavy and cold, but he miserably pressed on through the city.
“Stupid shithead…” He grumbled to himself, scanning every dark corner he came across. “She’s losing her damn mind and you’re probably out here just playing in the rain…”
His chest would tighten at every shadow and overturned crate, hoping he’d finally found the thing— Not because he wanted to save the cat, of course… But because he wanted to go home and slip into his warm, dry sheets after the exhausting day he’d already had. Being out in this weather was the absolute last place Levi wanted to be, but a small part of him wanted to be the your hero that saved the day.
Nevertheless, Levi was not afraid of getting a little wet, and he was determined to bring the bastard stray home. He had left so many things behind before— Bodies, horses, supplies, even human lives… the list goes on.
It had been well over an hour of trudging through the streets, and he even considered turning around and claiming the cat was forever gone for a split second— But not this time. ‘Humanity’s Strongest Soldier’ be damned, he was going to find the meowing motherfucker, and he wasn’t about to let a dumb cat get away from him easier than deadly Titan.
You loved the stupid thing, and Levi wouldn’t be the one to return home without him and have to wipe away more of your dreaded tears. The cat was the one thing that helped comfort you when he couldn’t be there for you himself, and there's no way in hell he’d come home from his little expedition without it.
Levi was about to fasten up his ODM gear to quicken the process when he finally found the wretched animal huddled under a broken awning— Soaked, shivering, and meowing pathetically.
“You little bastard…” Levi rasped with a tight throat, kneeling down to scoop him up. He expected him to claw at his hand and flee, but Scout accepted Levi’s touch with a pitiful whimper. His fingers trembled as he held Scout to his chest under the cloak. He couldn’t tell if it was from the cold or the nerves and relief, but convinced himself that he didn’t care enough to figure it out.
Scout soon began to purr against Levi’s pounding heart, which gave him a confusing sense of relief, and the two of them warmed each other for the entire trek home.
+++++++++++++++
“Levi?!”
You hurried to the front door as soon as you heard it open. Levi and Scout stood with their black hair soaked to the bone, shivering from the cold and dripping a mess onto the floor.
“Did you find him?” You asked, your eyes still watery, tired, and full of hope.
“Come here,” Levi said softly, grabbing your hand and leading it to the ball of fur in his arms when you approached. He guided your fingers as they blindly scoured over Scout, brushing over his drenched fur, feeling for the familiar scars on his face and ear. Levi watched closely as your breath hitched and a relieved smile spread over your face. He helped move the purring, quivering cat into your arms.
“Thank you so much, Levi,” You whispered. You wrapped a delicate arm around Levi’s neck, not caring one bit about his drenched clothing, and pulled him in for a tight embrace.
He froze when he felt your warm lips on his cold, wet cheek, while a fiery blush exploded over his face and down his neck at your gesture of gratitude. You pulled away with your own cheeks flushed around the sweetest smile as you looked to him. “Scout thanks you, too…”
“I…” He swallowed hard. “It’s fine— Not a big deal.”
Scout let the two of you dry him off with a soft towel, even accepting Levi’s care after he changed into a dry set of clothes. Poor Levi couldn’t help but keep touching the spot you kissed earlier as you tended to the kitty, feeling that same warmth every time he did despite his body still being goosebumped from the cold. Scout nudged against his calloused hand, asking for more scratches while ignoring yours.
“You were gone for so long,” You noted quietly. “I was so worried about you…”
“It’s just some rain,” Levi said, still a bit flustered underneath his low, neutral voice.
“You’ll surely wake up with a cold tomorrow.”
“I doubt it,” Levi tsked.
“Don’t worry, Levi,” You lifted Scout back into your arms, now dry and swaddled like a baby in the warm towel, and placed a honeyed kiss on his forehead— Oh, how Levi wished that was him again. “I’ll make you tea just the way you like it, and Scout will keep you warm until you feel better.”
Levi stayed quiet for a moment, watching the scene before him and feeling his heart skip a beat. He began to think that he loved the way you loved. He was mesmerized by the gentleness of your soft hands, the way you handled the bundle so gingerly. Levi realized that it would be his turn soon, when he inevitably wakes up with a sore throat and a stuffy nose, no matter how much he wanted to deny it.
Those soft, gentle hands would steep his beloved black tea. And when he returns from work that next evening after waving off your protests to stay home in the morning, he’ll let them gingerly help shrug his old cloak off. If Levi’s lucky, it’s possible you’ll put another sweet kiss on his cheek out of pity, if he sneezes loudly enough…
…All thanks to that damned cat.
Maybe… just maybe… Levi was beginning to think that Scout wasn’t so bastardly after all.

“I saw the way you watched her,” Erwin suddenly spoke up, his gaze focused elsewhere out the carriage window as he spoke.
Feigning ignorance, Levi huffed. “Watched who?”
“Don’t play dumb, Levi. You’re not so good at that as you are dealing out sarcasm.”
“I wasn’t watching Y/N any sort of way.” Levi defended, having the gall to even look offended.
“Ah, but I didn’t say her name, did I? I could have been referring to the woman standing in the lobby when we left.”
Erwin chuckled, briefly meeting his eye before Levi quickly looked away with a scowl.

✵ Matching Pairs | Solomon x gn!reader
drabble (0.8k words) | sfw | gn!reader | fluff
cw: Solomon deserves his own warning I guess.
"Alright everyone, please get up and form pairs with someone other than the person you're sitting next to to practice the spell we just discussed."
You let out an internal exasperated sigh.
Seductive speechcraft. Probably one of the worst, if not the single worst subject at RAD. Also probably one of the most unfair ones.
How in all of Devildom do they expect a human to score even somewhat decent grades when succubi and incubi are in the same classroom? Not everyone literally has a maxed out charisma stat as Levi would say. It’s downright impossible to grade any of this fairly, let’s be honest.
You grab your textbook and are in the process of getting up and awkwardly walk around the classroom to look for a potential partner when you feel someone tugging on the sleeve of your uniform jacket.
You turn around.
"Hm?"
Satan looks at you. "How about we just stay here and I will be your partner for the exercise?"
Out of the corner of your eye, you notice the teacher glaring at the two of you. You both still hadn't moved from your desk, unlike everyone else.
"Sorry Satan, the teacher said to pick anyone but the person you're sitting next to. Come on, let's get going before we get scolded."
"Ah, you're right. My mistake. Maybe another time." Satan got up, dragging his feet unenthusiastically over the classroom floor. He was giving you the distinct impression of a sad kitty.
You hastily walk in the other direction to avoid your disgruntled teacher, reluctantly looking around the room. The majority of your classmates had already formed pairs.
Well, I guess I could just quietly stand in a corner and wait to end up with the other person who inevitably won't have a partner by the end…
You know what? That actually sounds like a great pla-
"MC~ What about you and I form a pair? We would make a great couple!"
Without warning Asmo suddenly appears next to you, linking your arms.
"What do you think? <3"
"Oi Asmo, back off! I was just about to ask MC if they want to be my partner!"
"Nobody wants to be your partner, Mammon." Belphie shifts his attention to you, a soft smile on his lips. "How about we pair up, MC? I'm sure I can help you if you're having trouble with the spell."
"So can I, Belphie! And my seductive speechcraft grades are better than yours!" Asmo retorted, indignantly glaring at his younger brother with narrowed tangerine eyes.
"I still don't know how that's even possible, all you're doing during class is looking at your reflection in the windows and painting your nails."
"Well, at least I am not sleeping through the entire class like you!" Asmo was so busy arguing that you managed to unlink your arms and take two steps away from him.
Mammon joins the bickering, apparently unwilling to miss out even though he had no involvement whatsoever. Satan promptly follows shortly after.
You don't even pay attention to what their shouting match was about at this point. You got enough of that everyday at the House of Lamentation already.
Looking around the room, you spot Solomon. The white-haired sorcerer is eyeing the brothers with an amused smirk.
Hastily, you make your way over to him. Anything to get away from the quarreling brothers.
"Hey Solomon, do you have a partner yet?"
"As luck would have it, I actually don't. Would you mind partnering with me for the exercise?"
"I'd love to." Anything to get away from the bickering brothers for once.
"Wonderful." Solomon gives you a dazzling smile, a mischievous spark in his blue-brown eyes.
"What? Why Solomon?" You hear Mammon exclaim from across the classroom.
"Because all that you lot are doing is disrupting class, making it so that no one can concentrate on the task. Also, I don't exactly want to be accused of cheating in class since I could technically use the pacts to influence my performance for the better when working with any of you."
The brothers want to argue, but the at this point exasperated teacher swiftly shuts them down.
Solomon lightly taps you on the shoulder.
"Let's go over there and start the exercise, shall we?" He points at the corner of the classroom farthest away from the brothers.
You nod, exasperated. "Please."
The sorcerer glances at the brothers and notes with an amused smirk that all of them looked distinctly crestfallen about the sudden turn of events. "What's so funny?" You tilt your head and look at him from over the top of your textbook.
"Oh, I'm just happy that I got to partner up with you, that's all."

Drabble Challenge 2025 ~ Day 11 "Credit"

A/N: a little bit late but here's day 11!!
drabble challenge by: @thedrabblecollective

masterlist | drabble challenge 2025
crossposted in ao3
“We gotta give Levi some credit” Hange told the group sitting with them on the table, a few feet away from their friend, “he’s trying his best, at least”.
They watched as Levi talked to the scout, mentioning something with the usual stoic expression he had on his face.
“You think he’ll accidentally insult her and fuck it up?” asked Miche.
“Definitely” replied Erwin and Hange at the same time.
But when they turned to look at them again, they were surprised. For they saw how her cheeks turned a rose color as she smiled at him.
“I’ll be damned.”

Levi taking care of you when you're sick
Characters: Levi x fem!reader
Genre: Modern!au
Warnings: SFW, fluff. Established relationship. Levi is the best lover anyone can ever ask for. A little self-indulgent. Use of nicknames (princess, baby, babe, love).
A/N: I'm down with a fever and all I want is to have Levi take care of me so, please enjoy this little drabble of Levi taking care of you <3 tbh this can also be for a gender neutral reader, but I decided to tag it as fem!reader because of the nicknames, so read it at your own discretion!!
You woke up feeling like you got run over by a truck, your body unusually sore and aching. Your head was pounding and your throat felt as dry as sand. Weird, you thought. You felt okay last night before you slept.
"L-Levi?" you croaked, your voice cracking and your throat hurting. "Levi? Babe?" you called out, feeling hotter than usual under your layers. Your boyfriend stirred in his sleep and opened his eyes.
"Yes, baby? You're up early," Levi scooted closer to you, but his expression turned sour.
"You're sweating a lot." Levi jumped up and grabbed a thermometer. Touching your forehead, he realised you felt warmer than usual. As the thermometer beeped, he took it out and saw the reading on the screen.
37.8°C. You were having a fever.
"Get up, princess. Wash up. We're going to see Hange." Levi supported you up and carried you to the bathroom, sitting you on the toilet seat and helping you remove your sweaty clothing.
"W-wait, it's only 8am, love... Hange's clinic doesn't open until 10—"
"I'm calling them in a while. Don't worry. Are you able to stand?" You nodded and stepped into the shower, assuring Levi you're fine. Levi quickly went to give Hange a call, and they said they would wait for you two at their clinic.
Once the both of you were done washing up, Levi blew dry your hair and forced you into a thick sweater and comfy track pants. The heat was unbearable and you could already feel yourself getting sweaty, yet Levi said it was better to sweat it all out. Putting on a surgical mask on you and himself, Levi quickly escorted you into his car and began driving to Hange's clinic.
"Oi, four-eyes," Levi pushed the door of Hange's clinic and the loud chime of the bell signalled his arrival. Hange was already at the counter.
"Friendly way to greet your friend who opened up their clinic an hour earlier for you," Hange replied without looking up from their computer, taking a sip of steaming hot coffee from their mug.
"I'm sorry Hange," you let out a few coughs, feeling the swell in your throat, "I know you only start work at 10 and—"
"I'm kidding! Don't be sorry. I was just teasing Levi." Hange laughed and waved their hand before opening the door to one of the consultation rooms, telling Levi to bring you inside. Hange then put on a pair of gloves and a surgical mask and took your temperature. Your temperature was now 38.0°C.
Taking a stethoscope, Hange began asking you questions about your symptoms and you recounted them to the best of your ability. Levi had an arm on your shoulder, giving you reassuring squeezes and rubbing your back whenever you coughed. Hange wrote the prescriptions on a small card before handing it to the pharmacist through a small sliding window. Opening the door, Hange told you and Levi to wait outside.
"Remember to take your medicine on time and you'll recover within the next few days, okay?" Hange smiled as Levi collected the medicine from the pharmacist. You nodded while suppressing your cough and Hange frowned.
"Don't do that, it's bad for your throat. Also, no cold drinks or food, no snacking, and no physical activities even after you've recovered." Levi grunted a word of thanks as you waved goodbye before walking you out of Hange's clinic, making a beeline straight home.
"Go take a shower, princess. I'll cook you some soup." Levi told you as he unlocked the door, helping you remove your shoes. You felt really lethargic all over and badly needed to nap, yet you knew you had to get a rinse to cool down your temperature. You slowly made your way to the bathroom and took a well needed cold shower, hissing in pain whenever the cold water hit your skin. When you were done, you made your way to the dining table. Levi was still in the kitchen, and you could catch a whiff of fragrant soup.
"I know you don't have much of an appetite, but you need to eat, okay? Drink some soup first. I cooled it already." Your boyfriend gave you a soft kiss on your forehead and pushed the bowl of vegetable soup in front of you. You took a good look and realised it wasn't the bowl you usually used for meals, but a smaller-sized one. You gave him an appreciative smile before taking a sip while Levi sat beside you.
"Mm... It's good," you took slow sips, coughing sometimes as Levi rubbed your back.
"Want more? I'll get you another bowl." Levi stood up and went to the kitchen with your half-empty bowl, coming back with a new piping hot bowl of soup. You took your time and finished your soup, feeling your throat less scratchy and dry compared to how it was in the morning.
"Come on, let's get your hair dried and you need to take a nap." Your boyfriend held you up and walked you back to the bedroom. You could feel your head spinning and the aches all over your joints, you couldn't wait to fall asleep. Levi helped you sit and began blow drying your hair for you, making sure he wasn't accidentally pulling your hair or scratching your scalp too hard. The soft pressure from Levi's fingers combing through your hair was so comforting that you nearly dozed off without realising. Once Levi was done, he quickly got you your medication and made sure you took all of them before tugging you into bed, making sure you were comfortable.
With your head on your pillow and your blanket covering your entire body, Levi was closing the curtains when you softly said "b-babe," after a small coughing fit, cringing after hearing how hoarse your throat was. Levi hummed in response.
"... can you nap with me?"
Levi turned around and gave you a grin, "yeah, of course, princess. Give me a sec, okay?" and he left the bedroom for a short moment before coming back with a huge flask of water and your water bottle, setting it on top of the bedside drawer. Levi got under the covers and gently pulled you closer, letting your back rest against his sturdy chest as he loosely draped an arm around you.
"Y-you don't—cough—you don't have to be s-so close," you shivered, "I'm really w-warm, and I don't want to pass my f-fever—cough—to you—"
"Shhh, it's fine," he pressed a fleeting kiss on your crown, "you're toasty." Levi let out a long breath before pulling you closer to him. "go to sleep, love. Before I knock you out." you bit your lower lip and tried to hide your laughter, instead you broke into a coughing fit. You briefly turned to look at your boyfriend.
"Don't be mean babe, I'm sick."
"And I'll take care of you until you recover," Levi gave you another small smile and pressed a kiss to your cheek, "go to sleep. I'll wake you up before dinner." you nodded and closed your eyes, listening to your boyfriend's slow breathing behind your back. Levi kept his eyes on you, watching you until the crease between your brows disappeared before joining you in dreamland.
A/N: This is also a reminder to drink more water and eat your fruits and veggies, and take care of yourself!!! <3

Drabble Challenge May 3rd - Painter
SFW
Tags: no use of y/n, fluff, knight!levi and prince!reader au, mlm, male reader
Description: knight!levi sits next to prince!reader as they enjoy the beauty of the night from the royal gardens.
Word Count: 100 words (short version), 360 words (extended version)
A/N: had knight!levi x royalty!reader on the mind and wanted to write it! this one’s extended version isn’t very good because i’m tired, sorry.
short version (100 words):
“your highness-” levi approached the white pavillion of the royal gardens.
you sat on one of the cushioned chairs, facing outwards towards the flowers, bathed in the moon’s glow.
“your highness, you must not run off without letting me know. i am to be within a few feet of you at all times.”
“hmm? oh, i apologise, sir levi. i wanted to see the moon tonight. it is rather beautiful, is it not?”
“yes, i suppose.” levi stood a little behind you, taking in the night sky. “the view looks as if it were drawn from a painter’s wildest dreams.”
extended version:
“your highness-” levi approached the white pavillion of the royal gardens, looking for the prince, who had wandered off a moment ago.
as levi reached the first few steps of the pavilion, he noticed you sitting on one of the cushioned chairs, admiring the view of the royal gardens, his body bathed in the moon’s light.
“your highness, you really musn’t run off without letting me know. as head of your personal guard, i am to be within a few feet of you at all times.”
“hmm? oh, i apologise.” you turned around with a slight smile on your face, directed towards levi. “i wanted to see the moon tonight. it is rather beautiful, is it not?”
“yes, i suppose.” levi stood a little behind you, taking in the night sky. “the view looks as if it were drawn from a painter’s wildest dreams.”
“what’s up with you? you’re rather poetic tonight.” you said, studying levi’s face. “and there’s really no need to be formal when it’s just the two of us.”
“i see. i’ll remember that.” levi nodded as he listened to you speak.
“i do agree. the patches of that farm over the hills look like brushstrokes in a painting you might see in the hallways of the palace.”
the view from the pavilion was breathtaking, the multicoloured flowers of the royal gardens swaying in the slight wind of the night, the full moon shining over all of the land. far beyond the gardens and the rest of the palace territory, the hills where villagers and livestock lived were silent tonight, a still dark green dotted with small cottages, and beyond that was where the golden-brown farms where wheat danced in the moonlight lay, small, orderly patches with varying shades of golds, yellows, oranges and browns.
“the royal gardens offer views even my princely room could never dream of,” you say quietly, admiring the night beside levi. “that’s why i like to come here.”
“i see. and it’s also quieter, is it not?” levi looks at you from the corner of his eye, studying your expressions.
“not a fan of the people, i suppose?”
“not particularly.”
“me neither.”

♡ This week, I’ll be doing a special Valentine’s Day celebration! All week, you can submit short Valentine’s-themed Levi drabble requests ♡
⋆ 🎀 𝑅𝓊𝓁𝑒𝓈 🎀 ⋆
♡ I’d prefer to make it Valentine’s themed and fluffy for the holiday, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be!
♡ Example requests could be “How would Levi react to you buying him flowers?” “What would Levi do if he forgot Valentine’s day?” “Y/N and Levi are friends and Levi decides to make a move on Valentine’s Day”
♡ Simple requests are encouraged (i.e., one question/scenario)
♡ NSFW & SFW requests are both allowed
♡ All responses will be roughly 200-800 words
♡ All requests must be Levi x Reader (no ships) and can either be canon!Levi or modern!Levi (but likely nothing too niche or specific since these are meant to be short & sweet)
♡ Event will run 2/10 - 2/14
♡ If I find your request inappropriate/offensive in any way, I won’t answer it!
ꕤ I will answer as many as I get to! I might extend the event if I can’t get to all of them within the time frame.
ꕤ If you have a longer request, please feel free to submit it! It just won’t be posted for this event, but my general requests are open.
ꕤ My inbox has several requests in it right now — I will still be writing these! It just may not be this week, so please be patient.

Drabble Month, Day 3: Unhealthy ˚⁎⁺ Levi x GN!Reader
CONTENT — Fluff, sfw. Written for @thedrabblecollective as part of the AOT Vets Drabble Month. Divider by @cafekitsune.
“Levi, this is unhealthy. You haven’t slept in days.”
Levi’s answer is, as usual, to say he’s “fine”—that he has paperwork to finish, that you should go to bed.
“Levi—“
“This is due in the morning.”
Despite his impassive expression, there's fatigue laced in his tone.
You approach him. “Hey… tell me, if you’re always looking out for others, who’s looking out for you?”
Levi stays silent.
“Let me help. Then we’ll head to bed together.”
A pause. And then—
“… Fine. Just for tonight.”
Later in bed, you swear Levi holds you tighter—grateful that there's someone looking out for him, too.

For the practice drabble thingie, Sweat/Scent kink? 👁️ 👁️
I just. k n o w. I have this headcanon that Levi always uses baby/scented powder to avoid sweating so much on expeditions/missions, but maybe one day he just runs out of it or rushes out of his room, so Levi gets flustered or self-conscious for the rest of the day or smth, idk I don’t think he would smell **that much**, but… still, he smells pretty masculine, yknow?👁️👁️
tags: levi x reader [mutual pining], sfw [but fetish-based material], sweat & scent stuff, canonverse, gn!reader word count: 2700 A/N: thank you, this is exactly what I wanted. nsfw sequel here.
It was his fucking day off.
Levi was the most cautious when it came to anticipation. Sights no one should have to see had scarred him to the point of learning: if you never got your hopes up, nothing could let you down. That thought rained on most of his parades, but he supposed there was little letdown to be had when it came to the likewise little things. On returns from expeditions, he allowed himself to look forward to the removal of his heavy gear and tight belts. When the smell of fresh-baked bread wafted through the barracks, he let his tongue salivate and his stomach sing. Today would have been his first day off in - he couldn’t even remember - god knows how long. Last night, his stagnant stoicism seemed to float away, head in clouded daydream of how to make this day perfect.
But some days weren’t meant to be perfect.
Instead of birds chirping and the first rays of sunlight that Levi anticipated, it was a series of harsh knocks at the hour of indigo sky that woke him up. Levi startled out of sleep, snapping up with a breathless gasp.
In hindsight, maybe he should’ve said nothing, maybe then they would’ve left him alone. However, being woken suddenly, though a common occurrence, almost always meant disaster in the Scouts. His voice cracked a barely audible “W’What?” No response. Levi coughed and cleared his throat, the return of his scathing tone, “What?”
The knob swiveled. His door creaked. In the shadows of dawn stood a domineering, a commanding, six-foot figure. The leisurely pace with which he entered the room conveyed that there was no life-or-death emergency, and thus no good reason, for having barged in here on his day off. Levi rolled his eyes and scowled, “I didn’t say ‘come in.’”
Erwin ignored his remark and instead cut to the chase. “Supply transports were raided in Trost.”
His mind already set in vacation mode, it was remarkable how quickly his knowledge of the restock had left him, “What?”
“Tug-of-war with the Garrisons and MPs, scouring over the leftover scraps of the materials that were supposed to be.”
“The hell do the MPs need anything for?”
“I’m headed to the capital to find out.”
Too tired to think - let alone attempt - to disguise his confusion. Levi’s brows arced, lips parted as he tried to piece together what the hell this had to do with him. When it dawned, his trademark pout revived.
“...No.”
“So you’ll take my stand, running morning drills in -” Erwin checked his pocket watch - “twenty minutes.”
“I’m off today.” Levi refuted. “Get Miche or Hange to do it.”
“They’re coming with me.” Erwin’s eyes were dead set, nearly offended, don’t you know I’ve thought of this already? “Unless, of course, you want to make the trip.”
To yak with the higher-ups? He would sooner crawl through mud.
Though he was given a choice, he took pity at his situation: “Bullshit…” Levi cursed beneath his breath, his version of whining.
Impatient, Erwin tapped his foot, “Are you going to get up or would you like to sit here and talk about our feelings?” The commander’s voice was starkly monotone, despite the sarcasm dripping in his statement.
Levi could play that card, too. “Are you going to leave or are you just here to watch my bare ass roll out of bed?”
Right. Erwin turned on his heel, door slammed in his wake.
His impulse was to throw his head back on his pillow and an arm over his face, but twenty minutes - he didn’t even have the time for that. Levi bunched his sheets in his hands, so angry that his fists trembled, and swiveled his legs over the edge of his bed. A pang of nausea and a sharp headache, his body was pissed at him for the violent disruption of his sleep cycle. Levi held his forehead in hand and shook, blame eyebrows, not me.
Levi’s limbs felt heavy, like he had just come indoors from a rainstorm. Clouds of colorful swears and harsh grunts propelled him through his morning routine. A three-minute shower, trimming his bangs, toothpaste and mouthwash followed by tea. One of many identical uniforms was laid out on his dresser, but before that…
From head to toe - undercut nape, under the arms, the shelf of his pecs, between his thighs, and finally his feet - Levi always applied a handful of drying agent. At this time of year, headquarters could seriously reek, and Levi refused to contribute to that filth. Pressing his lips together and stifling a yawn, he turned the container upside down. Lips parted, though, when nothing fell out.
Shake. Shake shake.
A blockage, a clump, maybe? But there was no sound. The slightest of twitches in his fingers as Levi delicately, anxiously, twisted off the cap and peered inside.
That’s right. He had made a mental note yesterday, that part of his day off would be dedicated to visiting the market, buying tea leaves, some new briefs, and his astringent powder - all items he was too mortified to order through the Corps. Given the thieving that had just happened, it was not like those supplies would’ve arrived anyway, but now, he would not have the freedom to go out and get them.
With the jar completely open, he considered a few shakes in vain, but the bottle was so empty that he could see the reflection of his dark-circled eyes in the bottom of it. Levi allowed himself a heavy, exasperated sigh as he set the empty vessel back on his bathroom countertop just to loudly smack it into the trash can. Fucking shit.
At least he had showered, but peering out the window and onto the training grounds, he could already see waves of heat radiating off the pavement. Come noon, it would be far worse. Clock ticking, for now, his only solution was to cut down on layers. It was then that he realized how little leniency the uniform lent. Gritting his teeth, Levi reluctantly left his top drawer shut, forgoing his undershirt and underwear. Walking past his mirror, his reflection caught his own eyes: his ivory skin barely yet noticeably peeking through the buttons of his grey shirt. Goddammit, he ripped the brown, canvas coat off its hanger and crossed it tight across his chest. To the harmony of his soles on wooden floor, his inner voice melodized: Could an outfit be both breathable and modest?
Levi could not bring himself to abandon his cravat, so instead of tying it beneath his collar, he let it sling out his back pocket, at the ready to grasp for when he needed to wipe his sweat away. That moment was inevitable, but he preferred not to think about it. He ran his fingers through his hair, base of his hand lingered on his widow’s peak, grinding pressure away like a mortar and pestle. Whatever, he tried to assure himself, as long as no one was around…
At first, he thought he might manage. If they got close enough, they would surely notice the glimmer shining upon his skin. However, by terse orders and points of his fingers, he had maintained a perpetual distance from the hoard of trainees. He was more of a hands-on kind of teacher, opting to join them as they ran laps or learned to grapple through trees. Today, though, he was standing in the shade several yards from the action. If anyone gave him shit for lazying aside, he had an excuse in that he wasn’t even supposed to be on-call today anyways. However, perhaps because he looked particularly irritable and scary, no one dared question his bystanding.
Then came you.
“Levi?”
It was the first time you had ever seen startle on the captain. A simultaneous, steep flinch in each of his shoulders. Hairs stood on end, he whipped his gaze around, “What? What’re you doing here?”
The sight of panic on someone so fearless, it caused you to fret by proxy. “I - I uh…” You had never second-guessed him before, you had never had to. “I’m covering for -”
“Erwin?”
You knit your hands behind your back, a sheepish grin, “He said you’d need help. You know, given the heat…”
Levi crossed his arms and bit the inside of his cheek. How shitty could that oaf be? The truth was that this heat was getting to everyone, yet in his fluster, Levi was sure that not only Erwin knew about his secret susceptibility, but that he had spilled it to the last person Levi wanted to know. No words seemed adequate for response, so instead, he kicked his foot against the barrack wall, leaned back, and deferred to silence.
Something was off, your eyes darted in search for it. His cheeks had been tainted a light red. Luckily, you chalked it up to the temperature, though Levi knew that was not the sole factor. His hair was slicker than its usual light-and-airy allure, you figured he had just gotten out of the shower. That was true, but this damp was sweat, not soap. Your gaze started to descend down his body, and on the way, you noticed it: no cravat.
A dog without a collar. A missing puzzle piece. Mildly irksome yet disproportionately intriguing. It was like he had read your mind, the mocking timing with which he reached back into his pocket and lifted the cloth to his forehead, sighing and swiping. After a couple wringing flicks of his wrist, he folded it and shoved it inside the lining of his tan jacket. His left hand tucked it away, hidden, while his right hand lifted the coat away from his chest, granting him the space to do so. Again, his own state snagged his attention - the dark, drenched patch of fabric at his underarm jumped out like a bug on a wall. Fiercely, he snatched his jacket shut again, praying to whatever was out there that you had not seen.
And though you had not seen the soak of his shirt, his odd behavior was garnering more and more of your attention. Cruelly, that made him sweat even more: not only the sun’s rays, but the blaze of your stare burning onto his skin. He cursed the thickness of his leather boots, the ODM gear that strapped his clothing tight to his skin, the turn of events that had brought you to this moment, his stupid genetics, and his even stupider feelings for you. Thoughts spiraling, humidity could mess with him in ways that titans could not.
If you thought hard about it, you may have realized that his humidity induced the same haze in you. Bangs glued to his forehead. Chest rose high and fell deep - combined with his light panting - made your brain boggle. Now and then, a clear bead of sweat would fall from his temple, down his jawline and neck, before disappearing down his collar - where you noticed that his top button was uncharacteristically undone.
The loud pop! as he uncorked his canteen broke both of your thirsts. Head tilted far back, Adam’s apple deliciously bobbed as he gulped down his water. Lips absentmindedly fallen, your eyes drank as he did.
Levi recognized, pretending that he hadn’t noticed your stare had thus far failed to shake it. He scoffed internally: someone could use some self-awareness, he was literally dripping with it. With a straight-on side-eye, he maintained eye contact as he gradually lowered the canteen from his lips, only to thrash it and splash it upwards into his own face. Still, you gaped like an idiot. Finally, Levi decided: if you were going to be this indulgent, he would be, too. Maybe then, you’d realize. Levi thumbed a leaking drop from the corner of his mouth. After briefly sucking the digit dry, his tongue snuck between his lips to slowly lick them clean.
Stone-cold steel eyes and his soft pink tongue - that was what it took to break your concentration. Immediately, you snapped your gaze down to your toes and silently mouthed sorry.
Despite the heat, shivers somehow managed to seize his figure. With your gaze averted, you thankfully missed them. However, when you no longer had your sight to rely on, other senses instinctively took over. Particularly, scent: aged sandalwood, burnt charcoal, bitter tea. On the training grounds, these smells did not come naturally. And if it were anyone else, you may have cringed at the combination of scents, but upon realization of the one and only source of this musk, you felt your middle warm with inexplicable satisfaction.
Meanwhile, he was squirming: fuck, how badly he wanted to hit the showers. If Erwin had left this assignment to him, he had every right to leave it to the next person. The thing was, that next person was you, the blinking, doe-eyed, fresh promotion who hardly knew their blades from their gas. If you were anyone else, he could see himself saying: take this cash, head to the square and stop at this stand, buy the tallest bottle they have and bring it back to me. Say a word, you’re dead.
But you were the entire reason he strove to keep this secret under wraps. To give you such orders would essentially be a confession, erasing the whole point. Between a rock and a hard place, Levi stood frozen in fever.
The air was thick with moisture and silence. With each breath, the memory of that canteen escapade and his intensifying aura seemed to suffocate you. Internally, he was simmering over how to shoo you away from his disgusting sorry state. On the other hand, you were parsing over how to excuse yourself without being rude.
The 10:00 bell rang, you used it to craft a feigned excuse, “If you’ve got things under control -”
“I do.” In some ways, he did. In others, absolutely not.
“- I’m supposed to help mess out with lunch.”
Levi knit his brows, seemed unlikely, but he would not object. With a slight flick of his head, his gesture released you from post and encouraged you inside.
At the door frame and with his back turned, you could not help but take one last look. At his last end and assuming you had departed already, he finally shouldered that Scouts jacket off, revealing his light-grey button up having turned dark with his sweat. His fist clutched his collar and fanned ferociously, allowing his skin to breathe. Inaudible to the other, you both simultaneously reprieved, “Fuck me…”
At 11 on the dot, Levi and the platoon of morning athletes were in the cafeteria line. So what if it meant they called it quits prematurely? Inside, no one was complaining. Levi was relieved that he did not find you there, hopeful that you were in your room avoiding heat stroke, and oddly satisfied to have correctly suspected your “cafeteria-duties” bluff earlier.
Levi looked like he had been rained on then dunk-tanked. At least, that was how his squad put it, jeering and elbowing, “What happened to you out there?”
They didn’t want to know. He didn’t want them to know. Most of all, he would rather forget this day ever happened. He took his steel tray and made for his room to eat in private - but more importantly, to shower again.
The venture back to his quarters seemed to drag - maybe it was because the dampness of his clothes had weighed him down, or maybe it was because the empty, lone quiet of the halls allowed his consciousness to echo loud and clear: humiliating, huh?
He could not deny that it was fucking humiliating, but for as scathing as the memory of that embarrassment was, the recollection of your rose-colored stare was just as impactful. All along, he had feared that if you witnessed his weakness to heat - more so the sweat and stench that came with it, it would have sent you running the other direction. Self-doubt suggested: they did end up running, though. That mess-hall excuse, them being them, they were probably trying not to offend you as they took cover from your reek. Self-confidence objected, but remember the way they looked at you? Don’t play dumb. You know that look anywhere. They like you - and hell - maybe they liked it.
On his doormat, a tall white bottle and a handwritten note confirmed the latter.
Seemed like you were missing something… …not that I think you need it. - (Y/N)

~All Days + Borders Here!~
“Thank you, sweetheart.”
You froze with your hand hovering over the fresh cup of tea you’d just sat on his desk, the steam warming and moistening your palm.
“‘Sweetheart?’ Since when do you call me nicknames?”
“‘Sweetheart’ isn’t a nickname, it’s a term of endearment. N/n is your nickname, Y/n,” Levi looked up from his stack of folders to meet your widened gaze with a raised brow.
“Keep looking at me like that and I’ll never say it again.”
“No! No, ‘sweetheart’ is nice!” You bashfully grinned, bending at the waist to peck his cheek lovingly.

✵ Arachnid Ambuscade | Solomon x gn!reader
drabble (0.7k words) | sfw | gn!reader | fluff/angst
cw: spider mention, set in Nightbringer, mutual attraction, no established relationship, MC is an oblivious dunce & Solomon is touchstarved to the point that sudden close physical contact with his LI nearly makes him faint on the spot lmao
You were simply minding your own business, reorganizing some things in your room at Cocytus Hall when you suddenly noticed a huge spider twice the size of your hand on the wall to your left.
You let out a little scream and jumped away from the wall, bumping into something. Or someone.
"MC? Are you okay?"
You felt Solomon behind you stiffen in surprise as you bumped into him, one of your hands brushing his thigh. Or his hip. You couldn't really tell, you were too occupied with anxiously staring at the big spider on your bedroom wall to keep watch of whether it was moving or not.
While the sight of a spider didn't put you in a state of panic, you didn't really like spiders all that much. Especially when they were potentially dangerous and/or appeared on the wall of your bedroom wholly uninvited, deciding they intended to make your room their forever home and not pay any rent. You weren’t a big fan to say the least.
Small spiders weren't really a problem, it was the bigger ones that you were mildly terrified of. Which was stupid when you thought about it, since the smaller ones were usually the venomous ones and the bigger ones rather harmless... But you were in the Devildom and just assumed that everything was out to get you six feet under by default.
"Please get the spider out of my room, Solomon. Please please please."
You shrieked and winced as it moved.
"Anything for my adorable apprentice."
One incantation later and the spider was gone.
"...Is it gone?" Yes, you were looking at the obviously spiderless wall, but you wanted to make extra sure. Just in case. Better safe than sorry.
"Yes. I used a teleportation spell to send it to another place, away from Cocytus Hall."
"Oh, thank Diavolo." You let out a sigh of relief. "Thanks, Solomon!"
Turning around, you hugged him.
The surprise of a sudden hug caught the sorcerer off-guard. It took him a second to regain his composure and hug you back.
"Anyday, MC."
As you wrapped your arms around him, you felt his heart beating ferociously in his chest.
You looked up and wanted to ask him if everything was alright, but then you saw that he had small ivory feathers in his hair.
"Did your pillows explode during one of your experiments? There are feathers in your hair."
Without asking for his permission, you reached up to gently pluck the feathers out of his hair, your hand brushing his cheeks and nose several times in the process.
A good look at his face showed that his cheeks were now pale pink and his breaths ever so slightly shallow.
You eyed him worriedly. "Sol, are you okay? Do you have a fever? Was the spicy zombie dragon liver curry you ate for lunch today a little too much for you? Do you want me to go get you some medica-"
Before he had the chance to respond your D.D.D started ringing, the sudden loud noise startling both of you. Taking a step back from Solomon, you grabbed your phone from the nightstand and answered the call.
"MC, there’s a giant spider in the House of Lamentation and it has already devoured Asmo's vanity and Mammon's car and now it’s chasing us!" You heard Asmo's blood curdling scream in the background while Levi was panting, trying to hastily explain the situation while presumably running for his life. "Lucifer is currently at the Demon Lord's Castle - Please, you need to help! I don't know how much longer we can run!" Mammon yowled as Levi shrieked and the sound of something being smashed could be heard.
You looked at Solomon.
The sorcerer was attentively watching you, sporting a sly smirk.
"I... erm... Levi... I don't know how to tell you this, but I can't handle spiders myself. I'm sorry, I doubt I’d be any help."
"Please MC, anything -"
Solomon gingerly plucked the D.D.D out of your hand.
"I'm sorry Leviathan, but this is one of MC's scheduled off days and they're very busy currently. I'm sure you'll be able to handle the spider on your own. Good Luck!" He cheerily ended the call and placed your phone back on the nightstand.
You shuddered. "Well, I won't be setting foot into the House of Lamentation until that spider is gone, that's for sure."
Solomon smugly smiled. "Perfect, that means I get more time to have you to myself."
