Hello! Could I possibly ask for a Echo/reader (Gn)
Setting could be 79ās maybe some angst with someone calling out echos āmissing partsā after he rejects their advancements, and he feels a bit dejected about it. The reader (after insulting the other person) would take him back to the Marauder and comforts him (it can be smut or fluff either is fine)
Thank you! Have a nice day <3
He's More Than That***
Pairing: Echo x GN!Reader Warnings: Smut (my first so you must forgive any issues), Twi'lek woman being mean to our beautiful cyber-clone, cursing, filthy nonsense at some point, oral (Echo receiving), intercourse/sex, fluff Word Count: 5K Summary: Hunter, Wrecker and Echo waned a temporary reprieve from their constant stay in the Mauarder and decided you should be their babysitter for the night at 79's. Reluctantly you join and overhear a conversation Echo had with a Twi'lek who doesn't seem to take being rejected by him very well. After defending him and convincing him he deserves more, he shows you exactly what you deserve from him. A/N: When you requested this, anon I absolutely had just admitted- the same day!- that I was basically now an Echo girlie. I hadn't ever really noticed how adorable he was or how much I actually loved him until after the finale. Like I've always loved him, but I was never a girlie until now and now I simp. Also, I've never really written GN or smut so the two together really threw me for a loop lol so I hope this is alright for you! I do really appreciate you sending in a request, feel free to send in whenever you'd like!
Requests are open if you have anything you'd like to send in!

The atmosphere of 79's was as smoky and dingy as ever, the blue/green lights of the neons hanging around illuminating faces and bodies as they moved about the bar. It hadn't been your idea to be here tonight, usually opting to stay back on the Marauder with Tech and Crosshair for the sake of serenity, but when the other three boys begged you to come along so that they have a designated babysitter who wouldn't get wasted, you couldn't deny them. Hunter wanted to get away from the ship to what he labeled "loosen up" which you knew meant he needed to get laid before the stress made him strangle his brothers. Wrecker wanted to drink some regs under the table and joke about how 99 was better in every aspect while listening to good music.
Echo, on the other hand, didn't give you a reason why he decided to join in on the outing. It wasn't his usual scene. Not anymore, anyway. As far as you were aware he also preferred the relaxed atmosphere of the ship; the two of you spending your time playing a game or watching a bad holomovie you'd downloaded on one of the datapads the Batch kept aboard for entertainment. It wasn't really like him to want to drink all that much, not since he joined Clone Force 99. He'd told you a few stories of him and his twin, Fives, trying to pick up a few women here and there while hanging around the clone bar back in the day but you never thought you'd actually see him here.
You peeked to the corner of the club, seeing Hunter cozied up with a pretty green Twi'lek woman- her legs draping over his lap as he kissed along her neck. At least he'd be less snappy on your next mission. Then you heard Wrecker laughing boisterously over the music as some reg tapped out, his squad mates dragging him away from the table. He'd be content too and it's almost as if you could already hear him hollering at Crosshair to regale his win over the regs. Resting your eyes back on the pale clone sitting at the bar independently, you watched from across the hazy atmosphere wondering if you should approach him or leave him to his thoughts.
You and Echo had a relatively close relationship. His reserved yet courageous demeanor was always something you had admired about him, and whenever he'd joined 99, you were among the first to buddy up with him. You knew exactly how it'd felt not to be "one of the brothers", even with how close you'd become with the Batch. So, it seemed easy for the two of you to cling to that shared understanding. You felt a smile reaching your lips at some of the memories you'd shared with Echo, a familiar ache settling in your chest and you determined that joining him at the bar was the best idea- even if not for him, but for yourself.
You made sure to clock him in the spot he was settled in before tearing your eyes away and descending the stairs to the main floor, losing sight of him through the dense crowd. Weaving through, apologizing to a few couples who were dancing or going about their "business" on the floor, you managed to emerge from the mass of people to find an empty bar stool- entirely devoid of your companion.
"What the-" you muttered to yourself under the loud music, "He was just here." Swiping a glance up and down the span of the bar, the friendly sight of a pale clone adorned by blue neons captured your attention. He seemed to be speaking to someone, though you couldn't quite see who it was from your current position so you stepped up closer to casually join the conversation when you overheard Echo decline whatever they had offered.
Curiosity got the better of you and instead of being a good friend, leaving the man alone to hopefully find some solace for the night, you stood just close enough to eavesdrop a little more. "I appreciate the sentiment, and you're stunning, don't get me wrong." His voice was as sweet as ever, a little solemn you could tell, but only if you knew him well enough.
Was she really all that pretty? Were Twi'leks the type of person Echo was into? Against your better judgment, you leaned forward onto the bar to glimpse the woman he had complimented, and your heart sank at how her pretty eyes glimmered against the neon lights.
Then you heard her laughter. It sounded as if she were laughing⦠at him. "Oh, honey," her accented voice cut through the music with its patronizing tone. "You can't honestly be refusing me when you look like," and you watched as her pretty eyes scanned the clone before her, gesturing lazily with her manicured hand, "that."
Maybe you'd heard her wrong. You'd definitely heard her wrong⦠right? There was no way in the galaxy that she was insulting him about his looks just because he told her no⦠right?
Echo stammered in shock, momentarily caught off-guard by her comment. It wasn't as if he'd not been used to people making remarks about his⦠unmistakable condition. He just hadn't anticipated the Twi'lek to be so hostile at his decline. "Well, I-"
"I mean, seriously? Look at you, you're a mangled mess." She let out an irked breath as if she were, suddenly, too good for the current conversation. You noticed her lean away from Echo, surveying the rest of the room full of clones, "I bet you don't even have all of the right parts to please anyone anymore, do you droid?" The Twi'lek's snide grin as she huffed out another laugh made your blood boil.
Droid?
Did she actually have the audacity to call a man of war, who kept her safe from the rising Separatist threats, a droid? She couldn't even begin to understand the horrors of war Echo had seen.
You heard a disparaging laugh bubble up from your friend, noting how his shoulders sank only a fraction, head inclining to the cup in his hand. His back had been facing you, turned completely to the attention of the Twi'lek in front of him, so you couldn't entirely make out his expression- though you'd felt as if you'd known him well enough to imagine the rueful smile etching his features about now. "Ah, yeah," he breathed with a soft, somber chuckle, "I guess I am a freak at this point, eh?"
"It isn't about that anyway," you finally chimed over his shoulder.
Echo's eyes widened at your raised voice, his hurried voice muttering your name in surprise. "What are you doing?" His brown eyes glanced between you and the Twi'lek nervously as you walked around to place yourself between the two of them.
"I don't think he'd have trouble pleasing anyone that had the decency to see past a few war scars. But clearly, that isn't you, you'd only be a waste of his time." The knuckles of your fingers began to ache because of your clenched fists and only at Echo's gentle touch did you relax.
The soft voice you'd come to rely on whispered past the music into your ear, "Cyare, please, it's not that big of a deal, really." Though his tone was even you could tell he'd been embarrassed that you'd overheard the conversation.
"It is though, Echo. You don't deserve to be spoken to that way just because you don't want to whore around for the night." You defended sharply, throwing a look back at him then quickly pinning the Twi'lek to her spot once more. "He has plenty of satisfying features, I'll have you know. He's funny, loyal, protective. He loves his brothers fiercely. He doesn't shy away in the face of danger. He's the first to answer when help is needed, he's reliable, and a wonderful man who deserves more than what most people give him."
Condescending giggles rippled over her pink lips as she covered them, a manner of mischievous glee sparkling in her eyes as she watched the protective display. "You defend him as if you two fuck."
A burn crept up your neck and into your cheeks at the allegation but you couldn't slow your words quickly enough before you said, "I'd be damn lucky if we did."
Echo's grip on your arm flexed at your statement, tentatively pulling you back toward him to de-escalate the rising frustration in you. "Cyare, maybe that's enough." He whispered again.
"You two are cute. No wonder he didn't want to sleep with me. Whatever," the Twi'lek waved you off noncommittally, then pushed herself off of the bar. "There are other handsome men around who need my attention." And with a subtle flip of her lekku, she merged with the swaying crowd.
Frustration simmered beneath your surface as you watched her disappear, more nasty remarks popping into your mind after the confrontation was over. "Stupid, nasty-"
"Cyar'ika," Echo's warm voice broke your hostility, his fingers raising your chin to meet his eyes, "what was all that about?" The pale brown hues narrowed in concern as if you had just been in a serious altercation on his behalf and were injured in some way. "It's not like that doesn't happen all the time, what with the regs calling us defective," his laughter dying as he noticed your soured expression.
You crossed your arms over your chest indignantly, "Just because people insult you, Echo, doesn't mean it's okay. You don't deserve to be treated that way. By anyone." The reassuring brush of his hand- passing from your chin to your shoulder- made you even more upset as if he were okay with being so dehumanized by someone. You pushed his hand away, not because you were offended by his touch- far from it- but because you needed him to take your words to heart. "And stop with the Mando'a, you know I don't understand what you're saying. I'm being serious right now, ya know? You're not a droid. You're you. You're Echo."
The slight tilt of his head made your heart lock up as he smiled at you. He didn't say anything, he just stood there, the pale brown of his eyes highlighted by greens and blues from the bar. It was something you two often did, communicate with just a few looks, something that Crosshair had hissed and griped about, witnessing it on multiple occasions. As the two of you stood there silently for a moment, you began to notice his smile shift and the color of his cheeks showed a little darker. "A-About what you said to her-"
Your entire world came raging back, the music suddenly too loud for you to think properly. "O-Oh right! The...uh-"
"F-Feeling lucky if the two of us-"
You hummed in agreement, with his sentence, not your earlier sentiment. Not that if you thought about it long enough you would've disagreed with your truthfulness brought on by impulse. In fact, you had thought about it quite a lot since meeting the Arc Trooper. You couldn't help yourself, really⦠he was quite literally amazing at nearly everything he did. He was fluid on the battlefield, quick to make decisions, soft, and compassionate when someone needed comforting. He walked around as if the horrors of his dreams didn't haunt him, opting instead to care even more for those around him. Echo was a man of honor and you marveled at how he carries himself. Not to mention being in close quarters with him, or any of the Batch really, only heightened your ever-growing desire toward him. It was practically inescapable to see someone either in their blacks, partially dressed, or completely naked while on the Marauder. You had seen Hunter and Wrecker shirtless on more than a few occasions and even once seen Tech remove his blacks to use the fresher, and nothing was really wrong with any of those instances. Though the one that lingered in your mind, that just kept nagging at you when you were particularly desperate to reach out and have his pale hand touch you, was when you'd walked in on Echo after he'd finished in the sonic. You thought Crosshair had been the last one to use the fresher and hadn't seen anyone else take a turn, but when you pressed the button revealing the cybernetic clone with just a towel hanging around his waist you froze. You could've acted normal about it, muttering an apology and turning around but you'd only stood there floundering.
And that was how you reacted in this very same instance- dumbstruck and speechless- as your cheeks and ears burned desperately.
Clearing his throat, jolting your attention back to his face, Echo rubbed the back of his neck bashfully. "Well, we can just forget about it. I'm sure it seriously threw her off when you said that, so that was a good tactic." He joked kindheartedly, eyes closing in that familiar charming, laid-back smile of his.
He honestly thought you were joking. Or just trying to defend him by saying anything that sounded good.
Maybe that was okay.
Maybe you could get away with not making anything awkward between the two of you. Maybe he saw how anxiously you reacted when he brought it back up and was gracious enough to drop it for your sake.
But was that fair?...
He deserved to know how handsome he was, just as much as any of his brothers- 99 or otherwise.
"Besides, like she said- whether it was meant as an insult or not- I'm a mangled mess. We can't have you wasting your good looks on me, now can we?" Echo tapped the tip of your chin with his hand gently, winking mirthfully at you.
He was being serious.
He didn't have any clue how desperate you were some nights to call out to him. Echo genuinely thought he was unwanted and he harbored it like a man devised for loneliness.
Never reciprocating his humor or obliging him in his self-deprecation, you remained stern, eyes locked with his handsome pale face. "I would fuck you right now in the middle of 79's if I knew we wouldn't get banned from the only clone bar on Coruscant."
Disbelief filled the clone's expression, eyes dilated to the size of Tech's goggles, his cheeks flushing a red bright enough to rival the neon lights. It was a terrifying leap to take, conveying these tight-lipped secrets you'd been carefully preserving but if it made Echo understand that he was just as desirable as any other man- clone, Jedi, or otherwise- then you'd shout it at every single person in the bar tonight. Your name fell from his lips in an airy exhale, frantically his eyes searched for any sign of banter or sarcasm but he was only met with decisiveness in your returning stare. "You..." he breathed again, deliberately slowing his racing heart, "You're being serious." At your resolute nod, brows furrowed and eyes stern, Echo looked down at himself critically. "B-But, I-"
"Do I need to prove it to you?" you provoked.
Echo's bewildered stare snapped back to your face, brows raised high in astonishment. "Pro-Prove it?"
Again you nodded with resolve. "You deserve it just as much as Hunter. I'll prove it to you right-" and before you could finish your sentence you were yanked forward away from the bar, weaving through the crowd. Echo's pale hand gripping your upper arm tightly enough not to lose you amongst the moving bodies. Confused but curious, you followed his lead.
Pulled to one of the single restrooms you felt yourself being slung inside, Echo behind you now, locking the door. The dingy lights were also a staple in the small room, the most of the illumination coming from the neon lights outside the high window. "Echo, what in the galaxy-"
"Say it again." His voice rushed as you turned to meet his urgent but dangerously narrowed eyes, the low tone startling you.
You knew he was referring to what you had said by the bar, but which part, in particular, left you timid to respond. "Say what again?" You finally managed, anxiously fiddling with a loose string on your pants.
The clone across the room looked positively possessed as he took only a single step toward you. "Tell me you want me." Echo pressed, the gravel to his voice making you shiver. "Please," his whispered demand nearly lost to the bass rumbling the walls.
This was certainly not where you had envisioned the night to go when you agreed to come out with your squad mates, but as you took a breath, you dove right into the dream. "I want you, Echo." And with the speed of an Arc Trooper, the man descended on you, pressing you into the wall. His body crowded around you, leaving no room to breathe in anything but him as his lips furiously pursued yours. Though he seemed desperate in his actions, there was a hesitation you felt in him. He was leaning against the wall by his arms, keeping himself just a hair's breadth away, afraid to touch you. Pulling back enough to speak against his lips, your hand found his cheek. "Touch me, Echo, please," your own plea a whisper.
His breath shook against your mouth as he faltered, "I-I'm afraid of ruining thisā¦" His sincerity was the fear of a desolate man. "It's been so long⦠way before I looked-"
Reaching up beside you where his arms lay against the wall, gently guiding his hand and scomp-link to your body. "You can't ruin anything for me, I promise. I've been wanting this for so long, just touch me." A breathy exhale that sounded like a soft chuckle washed over your face at himself and to keep him from overthinking anymore you surged forward to press yourself against him fully- lips connecting.
The kiss you shared this time, was less desperate and hasty, instead imbued with passion and certainty as your tongue came out to greet his bottom lip. Mandalorian curses escaped under Echo's breath, voice trembling as he did, welcoming the dance you challenged. "I can't believe you want me⦠How could you want me?" Disbelief greeted you as you kissed him again trying somehow to get your affections across.
"How could I not?" Your simple reply caused him to look at you squarely, again searching your face as if he could find some hint of sarcasm or deception- but he found none. With a warm smile, you started unstrapping your armored chest piece and undressing from your standard issue GAR clothes. "Like I told the Twi'lek," you started as you set the clothes on a bar beside you, trying to maintain your composure with intense brown eyes observing you eagerly. "You're loyal, and kind. Funny as hell, adorable when you get embarrassed, charming when you aren't feeling too tired to banter around with me or your brothers," the last one made him chuckle a bit but it died off when the last of your clothes fell away and you stepped back up to him. "And no matter what's going on down here," you glanced down to where his codpiece sat, "I know you'll satisfy me completely."
"Kriff..." Echo stammered softly at the warmth of your hands reaching to unclasp his armor, a questioning look in your eyes. He grinned timidly, "I didn't think at this point you'd even feel the need to ask, cyare," to which you went at undressing him, yourself. Upon lowering yourself to the floor to undress his lower half, even with him imploring you to not get on the bathroom floor for him, you marveled when his blacks were pulled past his thighs.
"Well, color me surprised," your wistful voice made the clone groan in embarrassment as he covered his mouth with his hand, looking away bashfully. "Looks like you won't be disappointing anyone, will you, Echo?" You teased, glancing between the adorably sheepish look on his face and the solid cock that greeted you. Nothing amiss whatsoever. How could he be so insecure when he harbored this under his blacks?
Echo shifted on his robotic legs, anxiously, "There's no need for the commentary, cyar'ika," he complained, his voice deeper than usual as he stole glances at you between his legs as if he were caught watching something he shouldn't.
Smirking, you shrugged nonchalantly up at him, "Guess I'll just have to keep my mouth busy then." Your tongue splayed out over your bottom lip to experimentally lick at the head of his cock, reveling in the shaking gasp that escaped the clone.
"Oooh, k-kriff," Echo groaned helplessly, eyes screwing shut at the feeling blitzing through him like a barrage of blaster fire. The way his husky voice stretched out your name made your body ache for his touch.
You wanted more.
All of it.
All of him.
Your tongue danced along from the base to the tip a few times, placing delicate kisses here and there over his pale skin. It was sweet, watching him enjoy himself with such a small form of affection. The way his eyes fluttered every time your tongue swiped over the tip, how his teeth found purchase on the skin of his bottom lip to keep himself from making too many sounds. "Y-You gotta stop t-teasing me, mesh'la, please..." Echo breathed desperately, hand falling to the back of your head.
"Please, what, handsome?" The naïveté in your tone betrayed the way your eyes twinkled dangerously up at him and made him groan again, hand coming around to thumb your bottom lip, mesmerized by you.
"Please suck my cock." Desire finally blossomed in his eyes, the adorable timidness dissipating and giving way to a man who hungered for more. "I want to feel your mouth around me⦠I've wanted that for so long."
The admission surprised you, but you couldn't focus on it for too long before you acquiesced and took his cock into your mouth as far as you could before he hit the back of your throat. Echo choked out a moan at your motion, feeling the way your mouth warmed his skin, your tongue lapping around him. "S-So long⦠oooh, kriff. Wanted to feel your pretty mouth suck me off."
The filth murmuring from his pale lips was only fueling your lust as you hollowed your cheeks and started to bob your head back and forth on him. "I-I can't believe this isn't one of my-my dreams, oh fuck," Echo whispered as he looked down to meet your gaze, groaning at the hazy look in your eyes and whispering an astounded 'look at you' as his hand pressed into the back of your head. His hips thrust, against his better judgment, shoving himself further into your throat provoking a moan from the both of you simultaneously. Tears pricked the corners of your eyes as you relaxed, allowing him to fuck into your mouth at his leisure, the sounds he makes stirring you up more.
You pull back to catch your breath, a string of drool trailing from your tongue to his soaked cock. "You've dreamed of me sucking your dick, have you?"
"I've dreamed of many sinful things concerning you, cyare." Echo's voice was solid as he pulled you up by your arm, crushing his mouth to yours in a searing kiss. His tongue tasted yours for a moment, scomp pressing into your lower back so you were flush with him. The large expanse of his hand explored your body, mapping every scar and dip of skin to commit to his memory. "Your body is even better than I could've fantasized it; much softer, stronger." He whispered against your neck, placing warm open-mouthed kisses along it.
"Echo," you breathed out his name, his mouth dizzying you. "Show me what you've dreamed⦠I want to know."
The chuckle that escaped through his lips and fell over your skin sounded dangerous as if you asked him to show you his crimes. "Bend over for me then," the drawl of your name spurred a whine from you that made him grin and you spun around in his arms to place your hands steadily against the bar drilled into the wall. "Kriff, and I thought the sight of you sucking my dick was going to make me cum..." Echo muttered from behind you, his hand brushing down the curve of your spine, admiring the way goosebumps chased after his fingertips. "This view is sure to ruin me."
"Echo, please," you whined over your shoulder at him. The sudden change in power lost on you as you shifted your hips back to meet his, yearning for some sort of relief. Teasing him had done a number on both of you and you needed him to relieve you somehow.
"Looks like I can't deny how badly you want me now, can I, cyar'ika?" The cybernetic clone chuckled from behind you, leaning his tall body over your back to whisper, "Not when you beg for my dick like that." The warmth of his breath tickled the back of your neck and you moaned at the feeling. Without any more taunting, Echo finally leaned away from you to watch himself slip inside of you. "Shit⦠look at how you take me," he sounded nearly astonished by how his cock disappeared inside, appreciating the sight before him- second only to how you choked his dick.
"Stars, Echo," you moaned desperately, wincing at the stretch of him inside of you, panting as you took more as he pushed deeper inside. "M-More, please, fuck me Echo, please."
"Greedy, aren't you," Echo teased lightheartedly, chuckling at how you begged for him to take you. He seemed to be enjoying himself as he sank into you fully, his typical jovial attitude returning. It wasn't even as if he were teasing you in an expected sexy way. He was teasing you as if he caught you with your hand in the ration box, looking to take extras. The feeling of his cock dragging inside of you as he gradually pulled out to just the tip and then just as slowly pushed himself back in nearly made you sob at the burning fixation for him to shatter you. "I love feeling you like this. I can't believe you want this as much as I do. Kriff, you are stunning. Everything you do floors me." You continually whined his name as he spoke, moving in and out of you at an agonizingly slow pace then you felt his hand brush up your back and grip your shoulder tightly as if bracing himself. "You're the reason I said no to the Twi'lek. I just want this, only this," he moaned as he pulled out one last time before stopping, whispering, "Only you," then hammering into you at a fracturing pace.
"Oh fuck, Echo!"
"That's it," Echo praised in his warm encouraging tone, your name falling from his lips like a tribute as he drives his cock into you over and over until you were almost screaming. His stamina was devastating, the force behind his thrusts calamitous as your body rocked against his. "What a breathtaking sight you are taking me like this, kriffing hells. I'm gonna cum," Echo stammered as his hips faltered narrowly.
You'd hardly been able to process anything he'd been saying, too deafened by the passion though you felt his hips shift a bit, slowing their pace and you begged, "Inside, inside please."
"Maker, y-you can't say it l-like that," Echo chided with a choked moan, "I-I," and with a shocked gasp, Echo's hips stilled as they pressed into you. The Mandalorian praises that intermingled with your name, the way his mouth fell to your shoulder, leaving open-mouthed kisses, everything coalesced to a white flash shooting through your body. A sob of his name reverberated off of the bathroom walls, echoing around the two of you as your release hit you. The force seemed to hit your knees and you faltered on your feet but were caught quickly by Echo's scomp-link arm, reeling you back into him.
"Careful there," the smile in his voice evident as he nosed at your temple, pressing a few gentle kisses along your cheek. "Just relax, I gotcha." The gentleness of his touches weaved around you, lulling you against his firm body and the mechanical parts cool against your hot skin. "Sorry, I know some of the pieces might be prodding you." He winced at the thought abruptly.
You shook your head in response, steadying yourself against him by wrapping your arms around his neck and nuzzling closer. "Perfect⦠You're cool, it feels good, don't move."
Echo was once again left silent by your unconditional favor of all of him. "You continually amaze me," his chuckle affectionate as he hugged you closer. "Now, let's get dressed and get out of this filthy place. I've been thinking about another holomovie we could watch."

ECHO
At first, it caught Echo off guard.
Given that he's been through the unthinkable and had lost many brothers along the way, āand that Echo's a pure gentleman and rather spend time caring for youā he isn't quite sure how to handle your constant doting. He's never one to enjoy being the center of attention because he's well aware he can take care of himself. But even so, your physical affection āespecially in front of othersāis something he's struggled with only because this relationship was new to him and he cares about you so much.
Aware that your doting is well-intentioned, Echo can't seem to find the words to tell you that it makes him feel embarrassed....especially in front of the squad.
Despite the squad already being aware of your relationship, Echo can't stand the sideways glances between Tech and Hunter when you've fussed over a miniscule scratch on his cheek he got from a mission. Or when Wrecker can't seem to let go of the fact that you both are helplessly in love with each other when you offer to dress Echo's wounds.
"Y/N."
Echo says your name quietly one day when the ship is empty. He pulls you close, presses a kiss to your forehead, and assures you he should be doing the protecting and ensuring you had everything you needed. In more ways than one, he conveys to you that your constant doting makes him feel...shy, for lack of a better word.
You can't help but look at his scomp, the grey lines on his forehead, the miniscule battle scars from previous missions. It was in that moment you realized how strong he was amid the amount of trauma he had endured.
"These scars...they're nothing," he assures you before pulling back to kiss the back of your hand. "I can take care of myself. It's you I'm worried about."
Gently, Echo turns your palm upwards to inspect your hand scarred and slightly blistered from yesterday's mission.
"This is nothing," you try and say without a wince. But he's already guiding over to the nearest bench. One look from Echo erases the lie you're holding on your tongue. Wordlessly, he starts wrapping your hand, taking care of you like a boyfriend should.
WRECKER
Out of all the entire Batch, Wrecker would love your doting the most.
As someone who's used to drawing attention to himself, Wrecker doesn't mind that you dote on him, even in front of the Batch. The constant check-ins, the flurry of cheek kisses in front of the others and in private; the impromptu love bursts that come in the form of surprise hugs āthat often result in you being scooped up out of nowhereāare moments that Wrecker lives for.
Constantly being thrown around by the creatures the squad comes in contact with, Wrecker suffers a lot of scratches, bruises, and bumps. But these afflictions don't bother him because he knows that later they'll be worth the reward of your tending to his wounds.
Whether your swiping away red marks on his face or dressing a wound, Wrecker relishes in your closeness. No matter the time, he'll drop everything to let you change his bandages just so he can have your undivided attention.
"But I just changed your bandages," you pointed out as you unwrap the fabric with a soft laugh.
"Uh, I was hoping you could change them again. Feels a little loose," he replies with a shy grin.
Of course, you can't decline your significant other's request. As you work on the second layer of bandages, you can feel his eyes on you, a smile on his lips as he enjoys you taking care of him.

Anxiously, you looked over Tech's shoulder as he performed a scan on Echo. You were all shaky, with a queasy feeling in your stomach, your whole body shaking slightly as if you were freezing. "Not good," Tech muttered softly. Your heart sank to the back of your knees. You watched as Tech, gave Echo an injection, then turned to you and the others. "Some of the chips and circuits in his brain are fried," Tech finally said seriously. "Can't we just replace them?" asked Wrecker, who gently put a hand on your shoulder. As Tech shook his head, you sat down, feeling your knees buckle underneath you. You tried to breathe calmly, to comprehend what was happening. "That would take brain surgery. I can do some things and I know some things, but I'm not a brain surgeon. I would have to learn these things first, which is faster for me than for the average person, but would still take several days. Also, this is not just brain surgery, we also need spare parts and knowledge of this particular techno unit technology. Echo desperately needs a real surgeon, and not just any surgeon, but one who knows about the Techno Unit technology." You felt sick. You had no idea where to get someone like that in a hurry. "What happens to him when he wakes up?" Tech looked at you calmly and tried to say as matter-of-factly and gently as possible, "I've sedated him, I'm going to keep him in this state until we can do more. In his current state, he probably won't be able to articulate or make coordinated movements. Presumably, the risk of further injury to his brain while awake is increased as well" "That means Wrecker and I need to go out and get that surgeon," Hunter said with grim determination. Tech nodded in agreement and said, "I need to stay with Echo, monitor him and make sure he doesn't wake up for now."
Crosshair checked messages daily, on the emergency com. He gave the contact information to you and Hunter, no one else, for emergencies. He had written them down in the letter he had left you.
Today was no exception, he checked the com for messages. Crosshair was expecting the same as always, no messages, but surprised to find that someone had actually left him a message. He was even more surprised when he heard your voice. He could hear from the first notes that something was wrong, your voice sounded brittle, quieter than usual, a bit hoarse, as if you had been crying. Crosshair frowned and turned his attention to the com, listening carefully.
"Cross."
He expelled the breath he had been holding. The word sounded so shaky and desperate coming out of your mouth that it made him hot and cold. His thoughts were racing. What had happened?
"It's about Echo. He's been badly injured, his life is hanging by a thread. Hunter and Wrecker are on their way to get help, and Tech stayed with me to keep an eye on Echo. He's⦠not doing well."
Crosshair blinked, waiting for the message to continue. There was a pause, sorting out your thoughts and words before speaking further.
"I thought you should know that. And if I'm honest⦠I would feel better if you were here, Echo would want that too if he could talk."
The message ended abruptly. Crosshair stared at his com, heart racing. He didn't even notice that he automatically moved into the cockpit of the shuttle and started the engine, only when his hands took the wheel, he realized that he had already made his decision.
He opened the right com frequency and left a short but clear message.
"I'm on my way, Kitten."
You had fallen asleep on the chair next to Echo's bed at some point. The beeping of your com woke you up. Tired, you rubbed the sleep from your eyes and saw that Tech was taking another look at Echo's vitals.
He looked up and looked at you.
"Unchanged," he clarified, "Under the current circumstances, that's good for now."
You nodded and looked at your com, saw the sign for a voice message light up. You played it, immediately recognizing Crosshair's voice.
"I'm on my way, Kitten."
You took a deep breath. The feeling, the hope that everything could be okay again, was suddenly a little more tangible.
Tech looked in your direction again.
"You notified Crosshair?"
"Yes," you said with a nod, "I thought it would be good if we were all together under the circumstances."
Tech blinked and said, "A good idea. Echo would want that too"
"That was my thought exactly"
You stood up, walked over to Echo and looked down at him. His eyes closed, breathing calmly and evenly, several monitoring devices hooked up to him, so Tech could check his vitals at any given moment.
You didn't dare touch him for fear of worsening his fragile condition. Echo looked deceptively peaceful. You knew how bad he was, that behind his sleeping face there was only chaos.
"Tech?"
"Yes?"
Quietly, you asked, "Do you think Echo can make it?"
Tech looked at you and said, "Chances are-"
"No," you interrupted him, "I don't want to hear calculations or odds. What does your gut tell you?"
Tech was silent, blinking and looking at you a little helplessly for a while. Finally, he answered, "I think it's possible. Hunter and Wrecker know how urgent the matter is, they will hurry and so far Echo's condition has not worsened I would sayā¦. there is hope."
Again, you took a deep breath and said, "Thanks Tech."
"There is no need to thank me"
You smiled softly and said, "Thanks anyway."
Again he blinked.
"You're welcome"
The sound of a shuttle landing distracted you. Part of you wanted to jump up and run out to see who was coming, but you stayed rooted to the spot, paralyzed. You heard the door in the main room open, footsteps lunging, and knew before Crosshair appeared in the doorway of the infirmary that it was him.
His gaze roamed the room, lingered on Echo for a long moment, then on you. You wanted to move, but you still felt paralyzed, overwhelmed by your feelings, by the fear for Echo and the simultaneous relief that Crosshair was back, at least temporarily.
He looked at you for a long time, his gaze hard to interpret. Then Tech brought him out of his thoughts.
"It's good you're here," Tech said.
Crosshair nodded silently at him, sighed softly, and finally stepped into the room. At the same moment, you broke free of your stupor and approached him. He stood stiffly, as if rooted to the spot, as you wrapped your arms around him and hugged him. There was nothing loving or tender about the embrace, this hug was desperate for support and comfort.
At first, Crosshair didn't know how to react at all and held completely still. He exchanged a glance with Tech, but he seemed more confused than helpful, and shrugged his shoulders. After what felt like an eternity, he finally returned the hug and said, somewhat awkwardly, "Um, it's going to be okay."

What Else?***
Echo X Virgin F!Reader
word count: 4.5k

Date after date, your luck in finding the perfect person was dwindling. There was always something missing, something echoing in the back of your mind and itās not until a close call that you finally realised what it was; Echo himself.
Warnings: NSWF, smut, virgin reader, PinV sex, fem receiving, sweet talking, soft smut. Brief mention of blood and injury from reader being shot but nothing major. Also Echo does have his anatomy in this, just cybernetic legs from below the kneeš¤
Another day for you meant another unsuccessful date with the āfinestā people on Coruscant. You had left the restaurant in a huff, not being able to listen to the opinionated fools chatter any longer. You were certain that your date didnāt even ask what your name is or what you career even involved. It was just them talking non-stop. They also had a dislike to clones which was enough for you to turn away from him.
You spotted the Marauder a few minutes later, sighing in relief to see that only Echo was outside so the others didnāt have to comment on your continuous of disastrous dates.
Echo looked up once he heard the sounds of your shoes clicking against the floor and he smiled at you despite the bitter scowl on your face.
āAh,ā he leans against the ship, throwing a rag over his shoulder as he paused doing any collaborations to it as you stopped in front of him, āanother one bites the dust?ā
You rolled your eyes but laughed, running a hand through your hair. āYou can say that again. They were the worst of the lot. And thatās saying something.ā You sighed, leaving out the ill comment your date had made about clones.
āWell, maybe next time?ā He suggests, folding his arms over his chest, scomp tapping lightly against it.
āIām going to take a break from dating I think, besides, too busy looking after you boys.ā You snicker, making your way up towards the steps of the ship but stop when Echo extended his flesh hand to you.
You raised an amused eyebrow but gladly placed your hand into his as he helped you up the steps which you were grateful for as your shoes were definitely kicking your butt that night. āAlways the gentleman, Echo.ā You teased, your hand slipping away from his as you bid him a goodnight and entered.
Echo remained outside, getting back to the adjustments Tech had asked him to do from under the ship. As he slid under, he felt an odd tingling sensation and as he glanced at his hand, he didnāt see anything but he still felt the feeling of your hand that was just in his. He stared at it for a few moments before wiping his hand against his blacks, shrugging away the thoughts but he also couldnāt help the small sigh of relief when you would come back alone after a date with nobody by your side; he so wished it was him however.
It wasnāt just Echo however who felt the warmth and tingling sensation that throbbed against the palm of his hand. You had stopped midway through the Marauder, Crosshair grunting as he walked into the back of you at your sudden halt, grumbling as he moved around you whilst you stared down at your hand. You couldnāt help the fluttering feeling in your stomach either as you pictured Echoās hand back into yours.
You had found him attractive since you joined the Batch but tried to hard to push the feelings that were clearly there away but clearly to no avail. You let out a defeated sigh and got yourself ready to turn yourself in for the night.
āWeāve been walking for hours now Echo. I donāt think there is anything here.ā You grumbled, your Blaster Rifle slumped in your grasp as you trudged side by side with trooper.
Hunter had ordered you both to scout ahead, Tech informing you that there were enemies in the direction you were reading that the two of you could easily clear off. But, the more you walked the more nothing occurred.
āTech was certain something was here.ā He finally halted, you letting out a sigh of relief as you stretched out your aching limbs, cracking your neck side to side as Echo spoke into his comm device.
āTech, are you certain there is something here? There is nothing out here just boulders and trees.ā Echo sighed as he glanced around the foliage, nothing sticking out to him and nor did anything stick out to you.
āIāve just locked onto your coordinates, are you sure there are no droids around?ā Techs voice rang out to you both.
You reached out, grabbing Echoās wrist and bringing it up to your face. āPositive, weāre going to make our way back.ā You spoke into the device before Echo could, earning a quiet chuckle from him.
āBe quick then, we need to head out before nightfall.ā
Echo confirmed and the two of you turned around to leave when a sudden ricochet of blaster fire shot through the trees.
āAmbush! Y/N get down!ā Echo shouted as dozens of droids, camouflaged into the terrain emerged from their cover. You got to cover, quickly shouting into your comm for Tech and the rest to hurry up and home in your location.
āWell he werenāt lying.ā You grunted as Echo fell into cover beside you, both of you blasting at all droids you could see.
The pair of you cleared as much as you can, Hunter conforming that the Marauder was on itās way to you but by then you had cleared most of the area.
You peaked your head up over the boulder you sheltered yourself behind and sighed in relief that the close was clear.
āWell that was worth the three hour hike.ā Sarcasm laced your voice as you pulled your helmet off from your head, latching it to the clip on your belt and stepped over the clankers bodies, kicking them to make sure none were active.
āHa, I donāt think the walk was too bad.ā Echo stated, walking to stand beside you, helmet still on his head.
āOh yeah?ā You smirked, raising an eyebrow. āWhyās that?ā
Echo felt his heart quicken at your question, he analysed the teasing smirk on your lips yet such an innocence resided in your eyes. Echo felt like such a fool and he was in the deep end. The attraction he had for you was such a foreign feeling that he didnāt know he had until the very first time he saw you go on a date. You were dressed in civilian clothes, your hair brushed rather than tied back away from your face, your skin was glowing and he wished that you had dressed that way for him.
He didnāt realise he had said nothing for a whole minute until you cleared your throat, a small blush resting upon your cheeks, a blush that showed a genuine sweetness that he had been craving.
As for you however, the feelings that you tried to push aside for Echo were non-avoidable. You had cursed to yourself for showing such weakness for a fellow teammate and especially a friend but he was kind to you, a little too kind for it just to be friendly gestures. He was handsome in your eyes and had such a sweet soul. All the boys were nice in their own way but Echo was different. Echo was Echo.
āUh, well, I like your comp-āHe was cut off immediately by a rogue blaster shot followed by a pained yelp that erupted from your mouth.
Your hand gripped onto the side of your stomach as Echo span around, shooting a droid that still had some juice on it by a fallen log.
Instantly, his arms were around you as he eased you onto the floor, your breathing ragged as you applied as much pressure to your stomach as you could.
āKriff, you alright?ā Echo looked you over, and you weakly nodded.
āIāve been better⦠not a nice feeling being shot.ā You grunted, letting out a wince as you tried to shift your weight. āIām going to pass out most likely.ā
āNo you got to stay awake, you canāt lose focus.ā Echo argues before contacting the others, letting them know of the situation.
āEasier said than done.ā You muttered, eyes closing with a heavy breath. You knew you were going to be fine, well, you hoped so but the pain was unbearable and you were losing blood quickly.
Echo turned to you and his hand came up to your cheek, lightly tapping it. āDonāt fall asleep on me, Iām not that boring.ā
You hummed in amusement, you nearly laughed but that only wouldāve added more pain so you settled with a smirk. āYou sure about that?ā
Echo also smiled behind his bucket and gently caressed your cheek, his hand also acting as a comfort blanket for you.
āOh, by the way Echo⦠I know why my dates havenāt been working out.ā You spoke up, voice hoarse but you opened your eyes.
āAnd?ā He suggested for you to continue, feeling you getting more limp as you became more and more drowsy.
āThey havenāt been you.ā
Your eyes slipped closed as you fell into an uncomfortable slumber.
āāāāāāāāāā
A benefit to Coruscant was the fact you lived there. When you werenāt travelling with Clone Force 99, you were in your apartment in one of the buildings by Monument Plaza. So, that was where you were currently recuperating after your injury.
You didnāt remember much of it, you remember being with Echo and then you were shot. You had passed out and you woke up to Tech stitching up your side and slapping a Bacta patch to you. Hunter said it was best for you to rest back at your home and you werenāt going to pass that opportunity up.
You were sat on the couch, about to watch a holomovie when there was a knock at your door. You sighed heavily, still finding it sore as you walked.
As you pulled open the door, a grin instantly appeared on your face as Echo stood in front of you, a sheepish grin now planting on his face.
āWhat do I owe to have a visit from you?ā You smile, leaning against the door frame.
āThought you could do with some cheering up so I uh,ā you only then noticed that his hand was behind his back when he presented you a small bunch of wild flowers, a blue bow messily tied around the vibrant colours to hold them in place. Your heart thundered at the gesture and you couldnāt help the āaww Echo!ā what slipped past your lips and took them from him. Always such a gentleman.
You started to walk back into your apartment, Echo unsure if he should enter or not as you hadnāt granted him permission but he guessed he was invited when you told him to take a seat on the couch whilst you grabbed a vase.
Once done, you walked back to Echo and sat beside him, a little too close due to your misjudgment of placement but he didnāt seem to mind and neither did.
āYou didnāt have to get me flowers Echo.ā You were still gushing over it as you had never been gifted flowers before in all your life.
āI know but I wanted to.ā He said simply, leaning back against the couch as he got comfy, his arm resting on the back of it. āI uh, Iām sorry you got shot.ā
āIt happens, Iām just happy to have you there with me to protect me.ā You chuckled, running a hand through your hair and Echo was sure he could get a whiff of what shampoo you used. He instantly noticed that your place was so fresh and clean, a complete contrast to the Marauder and Barracks back on Kamino.
āI didnāt do much in ways of protecting you my cya- I mean Y/N.ā His eyes nearly bulged out of his head at his almost mistake. He hoped you hadnāt notice but you did and were not going to let it go.
āWere you going to call me your cyare?ā Your voice was soft, slightly laced with gentle hope.
Echo couldnāt hide the pink in his cheeks and gave a very reluctant nod. āYes, yes I suppose I was.ā
Your smile beamed, teeth showing as your eyes crinkled at the corners. āAnd do you care to remind me what it means? My Mandoāa is a little rusty?ā
Echo noticed you shift a little closer to him, your hand coming up to rest against his arm that he still had draped across the back of your couch. He wasnāt sure if the room was hot or it was just him but his body felt on fire as your gently traced a finger up and down his arm. It was the same feeling he had when he held your hand a few days ago. He was just in his blacks, his lower half covered by his Kama and belt but he was glad it was this way, he could feel your touch which he was certain he wouldnāt be able to if he were wearing his armour.
He cleared his throat and found himself sitting up straighter but didnāt move his arm away from you. āIt means beloved.ā His answer was smooth and that only added a blush to your cheeks.
āReally? Thatās sweet.ā You sigh softly, head tilting to the side a little as your eyes drifted to your wandering fingers against his arm and then back up to him.
āCan I ask you something?ā Echo quickly spoke before you could and you instantly nodded. āWell, when you passed out you said something about the dates you went onā¦ā
You were confused a little but then it dawned on you, a sudden realisation that you may have let something slip due to your drowsy state.
āOh.ā
āSo⦠did you mean it?ā Echo pushes, lightly nudging your knee with his metallic one to pry an answer from you.
You chewed on your lower lip and Echo couldnāt help but watch you, sufficing a gentle moan that wanted to spill at the action.
āIt did take me a while to realise that there was something special missing⦠something in the back of my mind.ā Your head tilted down but you felt the cool touch of Echoās scomp tilt your chin back up.
āWhat is so different about me in comparison to them?ā His voice was just above a whisper, consciously leaning in closer to you.
You felt his breath fanning over your face, chills running down your spine as your mind struggled to come out with an answer.
āI guess that youāre kindā¦ā Echo hummed in amusement at your answer and couldnāt help but press his lips to your cheek, lips lingering.
āWhat else?ā He breathed against your skin. Your eyes closed and you swore you almost whimpered at the sudden spell he had over you.
āT-that youāre always courteous around me...ā you managed to breathe out, feeling Echoās lips trail down your cheek and gently place to your jaw. The fingers that were once on his arm tightened around him, afraid he would slip away.
āWhat else?ā
A shaken laugh was pulled from you and you ever so slightly tilted your head, hoping he would move his lips to your neck.
āI know that youāll protect me...ā
Echo grinned and he inhaled softly, the smell of your skin almost making him crumble. He had noticed your slight tilt and as light as feather placed a kiss to the side of your neck. āWhat else?ā
You were running out of things to say at this point and you definitely felt a heat between your legs at this point.
āThey werenāt as handsome as you.ā
āEven if I look the way I do?ā Echo paused, nose brushing against the skin of your exposed neck and you nod.
āThat had never been a problem for me Echo.ā You shudder under his touch, mind going wild.
āGive me one more reason my cyare?ā
Echoās words were driving you crazy especially with his warm breath fanning against your skin. You could barely form a coherent thought, a gentle moan pushing past your lips as you felt Echoās forearm wrap around you, being so careful that his cybernetic doesnāt jab you in the side as he laid you down. Your eyes opened in wonder. Echo had moved his arm from the back of the couch and pressed it to the side of your head beside a cushion, his stunning eyes peering down at you with upmost devotion. āOne more.ā He breathed softly as his head lowers towards yours, noses brushing against one another.
āYouāre such a gentleman.ā
The rubber band that had been holding you both back suddenly snapped, his lips crashing into yours in a slow and precise rhythm. Eyes closed and your breath heavy, both of your hands finding their way around his body, drinking in every inch of him you could.
A shiver ran down you as you felt him gently tug at your lip with his teeth, pleading you for the access you allowed. His movements were gentle and delicate, not wanting to scare you off as his tongue explored your mouth, your tongue gently gliding against his in a dance.
Echo so wanted to open his eyes to read the expression on your face. He wanted to see the expression of delight in your features as he managed to pull a small moan from you as his knee situated comfortably between your legs, lightly pressing into your core. But his eyes remained closed, enjoying the sensation of your lips and tongues exploring one another and feared that if he opened them it would have been a dream.
āEchoā¦ā you moaned softly, lips parting for his with a dazed look on your face.
āYes beautiful?ā He mumbles, placing a small kiss to your forehead.
āTouch me⦠please touch meā¦.ā
Something snapped inside Echo as he lifted your back up away from the couch and pulled you into his lap. You got comfy, straddling him as his hands settled on your waist, eyes filled with lust.
āMay Iā¦?ā He referred to the shirt you were wearing and you nodded eagerly, grabbing the hem before lifting it over your head.
What Echo didnāt expect however was to see that you were wearing nothing underneath it aside from a small bandage that covered the shot wound. His eyes trailed your bare chest and his mouth began to salivate.
āBeautifulā¦ā he complimented, lifting his hand and pulling his glove away from it before his hand comes into contact with your breasts.
Although he could only use one hand, he didnāt hesitate to alternate between breasts. You giggled, the touch being sensational but a wanton moan erupted from you as his mouth latches onto your nipple right, his flesh hand playing with the other.
āO-ohā¦ā you moaned, head tilting back as you allowed him to explore you. His tongue made violent licks against your stiffening nipples, his fingers gently pinching your other.
āIāve wanted to do this for so long⦠makerā¦ā Echo mumbled against you, pulling you even closer to him as he nestled between your breasts. Your hands rested on his muscular shoulders and you couldnāt help but slowly buckle into his crotch, instantly feeling his hard length against you.
Echo moaned in enjoyment, urging you to do it more. His clothed cock against your sex was a sensational feeling, a feeling you hadnāt felt before which instantly made you panic. Your grinding halted and your hands began to shake.
āE-Echo I⦠I need to tell you something.ā
The anxiety in your voice made Echo pull away from your breasts, eyes locking into yours.
āWhat is it? Are you alright? Did I hurt you?ā He glanced down at the injury you had but he hadnāt been near enough to touch it.
āItās just thatā¦ā you chewed on your lip, cheeks turning crimson, āIāve not done this before.ā Your words were almost silent and you didnāt miss the shock expression on his face.
āOh, well, thatās okay. We donāt have to do anything youāre not ready for.ā Echo assures you, smiling comfortingly.
āNo I want to!ā You say a little more urgently than you wouldāve have hoped for. āSorry, I, Iām just nervous.ā
Echo chuckled and in a swift motion, he stood from the couch, you gasping as you quickly wrap your legs around his waist to keep you up right but he held onto your thighs and moved from the main living space to your bedroom. āLet me take care of you then.ā
Your back hit the mattress with a thud, Echo wasting no time in pinning himself against you on your sheets as his lips met yours again.
You wouldnāt be surprised if Echo could feel the beating of your heart against his chest but you wanted him so badly that you deepened the kiss, fingers dragging along his back and wanting to pull his blacks away from him.
He understood what you wanted and sat up, pulling the top half of his blacks up and revealing his almost bare torso. A cybernetic was still attached to his chest, your eyes falling on it. Echo stilled under your gaze and you look up at him with loving eyes. āYouāre so beautiful.ā
Echoās premature self esteem vanished a the sound of your words and he leaned down to take your lips back into his own before helping you out of your pants.
Propping yourself up on your elbows, you watched as Echo presses the back of your legs against his chest, moving your underwear away from your damp lips and tossing them to the floor. You could feel his eyes burn into your exposed self, now completely nude for him.
āLet me take care of you meshāla.ā He spread your legs open, getting comfortable between them.
You watched in anticipation as he peppered kisses up your thighs and giggle lightly as he blows teasingly against you before he licks your entrance like an expert.
Eyes rolling into the back of your head, you gasp at the sensation Echo was providing as he began to lap his way against your clit. Legs shaking and toes curling, you grip tightly onto your sheets as you let him explore you.
Your satisfied moans spurred him on, each time you would idly grind against his mouth and tongue, a low groan came from him that vibrated tantalisingly beautiful against you.
The scomp on his hand was pressed against your stomach, a form of comfort for you to hold if you needed to. You wasnāt sure how long he was sucking on your clit for when he pulled away and began kissing up your stomach and to your neck.
āAre you ready for this? Itās fine if youāre not.ā Echo whispered in your ear as his rock hard length pressed against your dripping wet bare pussy. You bit your lip and nodded eagerly.
āYes.ā You whispered and watched Echo is amazement as you tossed his Kama and belt to the side before removing the lower half of his blacks completely, cock springing free and leaking deliciously with precum.
He hovered over you, gently palming himself as he gazed over your body, taking in every curve, freckle and scar you displayed for him. āIām going to treat you right. Iām going to treat you how no other being can.ā
His words rang in your ear, all you can reply is giving him a faint gasp as you watch him jerk himself off, preparing himself for you as he situated himself between your legs.
āD-do you not want me to⦠you know?ā You nodded towards his cock, tongue licking your lips as you envisioned what it would be like to taste.
āNot this time⦠there is plenty of time for that. Right now, I just want to look after you.ā His words soft as he positioned himself at your entrance, brushing his tip against your clit and between your folds to prepare you instead of thrusting straight in.
He leaned over you, grabbing a pillow and gently lifted your head before stuffing it under you, giving you comfort before he finally made his way inside you.
Your eyes tightly closed, you wince at how tight you were around his thick length. Echo stayed still, letting your body slowly take him in. He watched you intently, any signs of discomfort you may show would cause him to pull away from you immediately. The last thing he would ever want to do is hurt you.
āKeep⦠goingā¦ā you breathed through the pain, feeling yourself ease up around him and Echo nodded as he pushed into your further, groaning lowly as your juices wrap around him deliciously.
āYouāre doing so well⦠such a good girl.ā He praised, leaning down to kiss the tip of your nose that was red with blush.
Soon, you both found a rhythm. His hips would slowly move back and forth, his thighs hitting against yours as he gradually picked up the speed. You could feel him so full inside you that your moans of discomfort soon turned into moans of pleasure as Echo pulsed into you. His arms wrapped around you, his chest agaisnt yours as your legs wrapped around his waist, urging him on.
āEcho⦠so goodā¦ā You whimpered in pleasure into his neck, gentle kisses planting on to it.
āYouāre doing so well. Told you Iād look after youā¦.ā He grunted between thrusts.
Your bodies became tangled in the sheets, each time Echo pulled away from you to catch your reactions after a wince or a main youād pull him back to you, not getting enough of the taste of his lips on yours. Intoxicating as his soft thrusts turned you into putty.
When your orgasm hit, you accidentally sunk your teeth into his shoulder but it urged Echo on to allow you to ride through your climax.
āLook at you angel, cumming just for me. Perfect.ā His words of encouragement made you tremble and soon enough he hit his own high, strangled breaths as he pulled out and poured hot white ribbons over your stomach.
Both spent, Echo collapsed to the side of you, catching his breath before standing up and pulling the lower half of his blacks back up.
You laid still, legs shaking from what just happened. Cheeks flushed and body still hot. You didnāt know what Echo was doing until you heard the door to your fresher slide open, followed by the turning of some taps. He was in there for a while, cleaning himself up when he came back out to you now wrapped in your blanket.
āHeyā¦ā Echo sat beside you, his hand cupping your cheek. āYou doing alright?ā
You nodded, breathless. āYeah I just canāt believe that happened is all.ā Blushing, Echo grinned and kissed your forehead.
āI hope it wasnāt too painful.ā
āA little bit but it was lovely so thank you⦠for that.ā You donāt know why you went so shy all of a sudden but supposedly it was due to your teammate, someone you had fought along side with and were friends with it supposedly more had seen you at your must innocent.
āCome on, I drew you a bath.ā Echo stood and before you could stand up yourself his arms dipped under you as he began to carry you. You cosied up into him, the blanket falling from your body and again, leaving you in the nude as he carried you in his arms.
āEcho? How come you let me go on all those dates if you liked me?ā
āI⦠I wasnāt sure if youād ever feel the same. Didnāt want to compromise our friendship.ā Echo placed you down, and you sigh softly as your legs hit the warm water, slowly lowering yourself into it.
āAnd now?ā You then asked, looking up at him as he sat on the edge of the tub, his hand resting on your shoulder and massaging it.
āI think it is safe to say that thatās changedā¦. For the better.ā
You couldnāt agree more.

How would TBB react to seeing the reader about to leave on a night out dressed up in a super hot outfit?
Gender-neutral reader, but feminine presenting. Words like 'beautiful' and 'pretty' are used!
Hunter - Even with half of his face tattooed, he still manages to blush through the thickness of the ink. - He's truly lost for words. - Hunter has an adorable stutter as he compliments, "wow, you look⦠nice- I mean, incredible. Good. Beautiful?" - Hunter then facepalms as he scolds himself for picking "nice" as his first compliment. Ugh, you look so much more than nice! - You'll both be giggling as Hunter takes a deep breath, and begins going into detail about how good you look, highlighting the specific parts that really stand out to him. - You're heading out with friends, but Hunter is quietly hinting that he wants to come along. Totally not because he's jealous or anything, but because he hopes to meet your friends, right? The friends that he's met several times before? Yeah! - Tell him that you'll still be looking this good when you come back home later tonight, and he'll get the hint. - However, he may need to leave a fresh mark or two on your neck, just to get the point across that you're taken.
Echo - This poor, poor man is going to turn the deepest shade of red when he finally sees you. - Why, just WHY did you have to wear that specific outfit that he loves so much?! And you're going out without him too?! Oh, what a tease! - Echo is lost for words as he gushes over you. He feels like it's his wedding day - How is he this lucky? How did he land an angel like you? - There's a tear in his eye as you smother him in kisses, reassuring him that you're all his, that you're the lucky one for being with him, that you can't wait to come home and snuggle up with him later. - Echo doesn't ask for much, but he would like to be kept in the loop on your whereabouts. Purely for your own safety! - "And when you reach the next bar, just comm me. Your friends have my comm number too, don't they? If anything goes wrong, and you want picking up-" blahblahblah. - One final smother in reassuring kisses, and you're good to hit the town!
Wrecker - His mouth instantly hangs open, his eyes turn wide, and his facial expression swiftly turns into a grin as he comments, "HOT!!" - You know in cartoons where the character's mouth drops open, and they begin howling and barking? Yeah, that's Wrecker. - Seriously, you look hot, and Wrecker's going to ensure that you know it. - "Look at you! I can't believe I got myself an angel as sweet as you!" - He'll mention how he's sad that he's not tagging along, but he'll assure you that it's important you spend your time with your friends. - Wrecker isn't as clingy as he seems. After all, he'll be right here, waiting for your return. - And when you do return, all your hangover needs will be met. A tall glass of water waiting for you, a midnight snack, breakfast in bed, and a big buff man to cuddle you back to health!
Tech - This will go one of two ways: - Option one: Tech eyes you up and down, and with a firm nod, he comments, "that is suitable attire for your evening. I hope you enjoy yourself." - Option two: Tech's brain short circuits. He can barely muster up a thought, let alone a comment. Radio silence, but his expression says it all. - Either way, Tech is more than impressed with your outfit choice, and how stunning you look. He just⦠struggles to find the words, like a deer in the headlights. - Give him a few moments, and you'll be met with suitable praise. "How exquisite you look, a truly elegant and radiant creature." - Tech can't pinpoint one specific word to describe how beautiful you look, so instead, he selects the most complex and in-depth ones. He doesn't want to rely on a 'standard compliment.' - A few kisses later, and you're off to meet your friends. All the while, Tech begins pacing around the Marauder like a lost puppy. He needs to keep himself occupied until you return!
Crosshair - He's instantly thirsty for you, smiling cheekily as he eyes you up, gawking at the sight of you. - Crosshair has a way with words, and spews out his praise, all whilst kneading at your waist, his hands trailing down to grab your ass whilst he steals a handful of kisses from you. - And then it dawns on him⦠- You're going out with your friends tonight, not him⦠- Jealousy swiftly takes over, and his compliment turn into teasing (yet petty) jabs. Nothing to hurt your feelings, though. - "Any reason why you're wearing this tonight? Do you need more attention? Am I not enough for you?" - Whilst his tone is teasing, there's a desperate need for validation. - Yes, he knows you'd never be stupid and hurt him, but⦠can you please remind him one more time? - Don't be surprised when you leave, and minutes later, Crosshair sends you a holotext. "Comm me if you need anything, Beautiful."

Order 66 (tbb x Jedi!reader)
Ok, so iāve had this idea in my head of the clones with a Jedi S/O during Order 66. I donāt mean they act on Order 66, I mean if everything sorta played out similar in canon (Chip doesnāt work)
Idk, I like me some protective boys.
CW: minimally proofread, jedi!S/O, Reader, Gender neutral pronouns, Order 66, violence, death, swearing, Hunter trying his best, Wrecker being a sweetie, Echo is ready to fight, Tech is the only one who is level headed, and Crosshair being somewhat emotional
You were following Caleb when the order came through. Your steps stumbled and your knees hit the cold ground. All around you, the Force was being ripped apart. Hands were on your shoulders.Ā
your lover. You barely realized through the haze.
With absolute horror, you watched helplessly as clones gunned down Depa Billaba. āRun Caleb!ā You heard her scream through the overwhelming grief and death you felt. The padawan turned, lightsaber ready.Ā
āGet away from us!ā he barked, calling your name, āGet up! Please!ā
He was panicked, confused. So were you.Ā
You managed to look up, seeing the clone troopers across the field standing over Master Billabaās smoking corpse. They were prepping to kill you and the padawan next.
Without another word you bolted, grabbing Calebās hand and sprinting to the trees. You didnāt look back. You had to make sure the kid was safe.
Hunter
āWait!ā Heāll give chase before stopping at the tree line. He had never seen you look so devastated and afraid.Ā
Heās going to follow you. Of course he is. Heās just as confused as everyone else.Ā
Until Tech finally finds out what's going on
āThe Jedi have been ordered to be executed.ā āWhich one?ā āAll of them.ā
āWhat!? Why!?ā Hunter is panicked at this point. The troopers behind him have orders to kill. They wonāt show you mercy.Ā
āApparently theyāve committed treason.ā
By the time he finds you, Caleb had already jumped across the ravine and was waiting for you. You turned, tears in your eyes.
āI can feel itā¦everyone is being killed.āĀ
āWeāre going to figure this out,ā Heās going to try and calm you down, āI promise, weāre going to figure this out.ā His arms are around you.Ā
It wasnāt safe for you. Not anywhere near him and the others. He knows this. You know this.Ā
The two of you come up with a hurried plan.
āGo to these coordinates. Once we know what's going on, Iāll come find you.ā Heāll kiss you passionately, āGet the kid and hide.āĀ
Hunter wonāt go with you. Heās the squad leader. He canāt just go missing.Ā
Despite the fear that youāll be found out, he trusts you and your skills to stay alive.
Once you jump across, heāll watch, make sure no one follows or tries to shoot at you.Ā
Once heās questioned on your whereabouts, heās going to lie, āI managed to stab the kid and shoot the Jedi. both of them fell into the water.ā
I will say, his nerves are shot until he gets to you again.Ā
But in the meanwhile? Heās antsy. Anxious and a tad distracted.
Also a hairs trigger from snapping.
Crosshair badgers him at Kamino and Hunter barely holds back a punch.
Hunter loves you, so damn dearly. And right now he canāt protect you because he needs to figure out what the fuck is going on.
But, after finding the truth and getting Omega, he makes a damn beeline for the coordinates he gave you.
Plus side? Caleb and Omega become friends.
Echo
What the FUCK just happend!?
He sprints into the trees to keep up, ignoring how Hunter is calling his name.Ā
āEcho, get back here!āĀ
āNo.ā He will cut off his comms.Ā
Heās an ARC trooper, he can track you to a degree. Heās not like Hunter, but he gets to the general area where you are.Ā
He manages to get to a clearing where you and Caleb are hiding in the trees.Ā
āCyare!ā Echo is clearly confused, worried and he swears he feels the same amount of death thatās overwhelmed you.Ā
Once you reveal yourself, his helmet is off and his arms are around you so tightly.
āI donāt know what's going on, but Iāll keep you and Commander Dume safe.ā
Hunter and Crosshair catch up to you, and once Crosshair aims his blaster at you and Caleb, Echo is ready to brawl.Ā
He stands protectively in front of you, gun aimed at the sniper, āIf your skinny ass doesnāt put the fucking gun away I swear to-!ā
āBoth of you stand down!ā Hunter will have to get between them, because Echo is 100% willing to shoot Crosshair if it means you stay safe.Ā
Heās not aware Crosshair doesn't exactly have a choice at the moment.
Really no one is aware.
But heās lost domino squad, heās lost Fives, he's lost legion, right now his former general is probably being killedā¦Heās lost so much already.
He refuses to lose you too.
So Echo pulls the trigger first, settling on stunning him and making a dash towards the ravine. Hunter has to keep up.
Once Caleb is across, heāll get meetup coordinates from Hunter.
Echo goes with you. He doesnāt return to Kamino. The moment he's across the ravine with you and Caleb heās a deserter.Ā
He doesnāt care. He just doesnāt want to lose you.
Heās a strong, determined guard, and one who didnāt let you or Caleb get hurt.
Wrecker
He casts a glance at Hunter before running off after you.Ā
He has no idea what Order 66 is. Nor does he care.
The guy saw you soā¦out of it. So scared and confused.
His protective instincts have geared up to 11.Ā
Hunter goes with him, while Crosshair is the one who remains behind to stall.
Once Tech informs everyone that the Jedi have been named traitors and should be executed on sight, Wrecker gets serious. Very serious.Ā
He becomes so unlike himself, even Crosshair is surprised.
Honestly? I see Wrecker as someone willing to gun down any āregā if theyāre threatening his squad or s/o.Ā
Even this early into the Empire.
When he sees you, heās immediately grabbing you into his arms which causes Caleb to attack.
Admittedly heās gonna tackle Caleb, only adding to the poor kids terror.Ā
āWrecker, you're scaring him!āĀ
But after a strong bear hug and an āEasy kid! Iām tryna help you!ā The padawan calms down enough to listen.Ā
He puts Caleb down, rips off his helmet and gives you one hell of a kiss.Ā
Heās worried. Heās scared. And he wants to protect you.Ā
Hunter will have to talk him down from running off with you.
The sergeant has to keep his squad together. It sucks but they need to figure out what the heck is happening at the moment.
Wrecker desperately wants to go with you but he canāt abandon his squad.
However, he feels much better once Hunter gives some safe coordinates to lay low and hide.
Heāll get you to the ravine and stand guard until you and Caleb are across and out of sight.
You bet your ass when he meets up with you again heās not letting you go.Ā
Tech
He isnāt as emotional as the others at the moment. Heās actually focused on gathering as much information in the least amount of time.
He waits, listening to the comm chatter. What is going on? why?
āExecute Order 66.ā
After a second, he shares a look with Hunter.
āTech, go after-ā
No more words need to be said. Tech is gone and going after you.
Heās smart. He knows your patterns. He knows where youād most likely hide. So he focuses on that.
Once heās confident heās in a broad area where you and Caleb are, heās going to call out to you, āCyare? Thereās something called Order 66 on the comms.āĀ
Tech gives you information first. He wonāt make you reveal yourself if you donāt feel safe enough.Ā
When Echo announces that the Jedi have been charged with treason, heāll relay that to you.Ā
āThe comms say the Jedi committed treason against the Republic,ā Heās going to keep looking around for you, āI know you. Youād never do such a thing. Iām here, Cyare. I can help you.ā
Once you reveal yourself, Caleb behind you, he feels the biggest amount of relief.Ā
He pulls off his helmet, giving you a small smile.
āTechā¦The Jediā¦ā your voice cracks, āTheyāre being killedā¦I can feel it.āĀ
āI know, Cyareā¦Iām sorry.ā He tries his best to comfort you, but he knows he can never understand.Ā
The amount of Jedi heās worked with can be counted on one hand.Ā
But he knows this is your family. Your friends. Your very life.
Once Hunter meets up with you guys, a plan can be put in place.Ā
He gives you coordinates for a location to meet-up and hide. Youāll lay low with Caleb.
In the meantime, Tech will return to Kamino, figure out what's happening, and from there a better, more long term plan can be made.
Before you leave though, heās going to give you the longest, most passionate kiss he's ever given you.
Heās well aware that there's a chance you can be found and killed.Ā
Tech is the only one who has accepted that you may not make it out of this.
But heās going to keep his mind occupied, distract himself until heās by your side again.Ā
Crosshair
As soon as the order goes out, Crosshair is under the influence of the inhibitor chip.
He just doesnāt know. No one does at this point.
He watches you run away with Caleb and the drive to hunt you down is hard to ignore.
He needs to find you to kill you, to protect you.
But, the sudden headache he has is damn near blinding.
Crosshair follows Hunter, keeping his comms on.
He freezes when Tech finds out the Jedi have been marked for execution.
The Inhibitor Chip in his skull is contending with his feelings for you.
He needs to execute save you.
When he spots you he pulls his rifle and aims but barely manages to stop himself.
He canāt hurt you. He needs to kill loves you.
Crosshair draws some sort of conclusion that Kaminoans had conditioned all clones to follow specific orders.
He doesnāt know of the chip. He just assumes it comes from the troopers' conditioning.
When his arms are around your body, for a brief moment he thinks of snapping your neck.
Good soldiers follow orders.
He hates orders.
This is the point where Crosshair knows something is seriously wrong with him.
But heās not going to say anything yet. He can still fight if need be.
āYou need to runā¦hideā¦get away from here.ā it's a rare moment that heās scared.
The sniper is desperate to shoot protect you.
The headache is persistent, and itās somewhat distracting.
But heāll power through.
Crosshair will wait for Hunter to come up withā¦something.Ā
His eyes are on the area around you, gun set to kill in case any reg tries anything.
The plan? Clone Force 99 returns to Kamino while you and Caleb go into hiding.Ā
You have coordinates. He can find you later.Ā
Butā¦well Crosshair doesnāt like that. At all.
Hear me out. Like Echo, Crosshair goes with you. He knows somethings up with him, but he trusts himself more than he trusts anyone else.
āTell Kamino they killed me.ā He instructs Hunter, āThat I died trying to stop the Jedi and you managed to get justice.ā
He crosses the ravine with you, only looking back to nod back to Hunter.Ā
By the time Crosshair, you and Caleb safely get off the planet, his headache is a small annoyance that goes away with time.
Crosshair sticks with you until he reunites with his squad and notices Omega
Welp, you got Caleb, what's one more kid?

Hi I just wanted to say i love ur bad batch reader insert posts!!! Do you think you could do one of how they respond to the reader's body image issues? Thanks so much for your service š
Author's Note: I'm sorry this took as long as it did!! I hope you enjoy this!
Hunter: Will pick up on certain things. He gets a feel for what's bothering you when you don't respond to his compliments. It's only at particular times, and he'll finally decide to tentatively ask what's going on. He'll listen to whatever it is that you're insecure about patiently, but is right there with reassurance. He knows that words can only go so far, but now that he's aware, he can be more intentional about it. He's nurturing and supportive without coddling.
Wrecker: Is in absolute disbelief when you tell him about your insecurities. He's rather comfortable with himself and loves who he is despite things that others have taunted him for, and he adores you. He chuckles warmly after your confession and assures you that you're absolutely beautiful. He doesn't want to undermine your feelings in any way, but hearing his chuckle, knowing that something that seemed so major to you wasn't that big of a deal to him helped.
Tech: Can't quite understand at first. You are loved by the Bad Batch, and you have his love, so why were you struggling with it? He comes to understand when you explain, and his no-nonsense way of responding ends up being quite sweet and romantic. Tech is not one to fudge facts or skirt around the truth, so his compliments and assurances are genuine and straight from the heart.
Echo: If anyone could grasp body image issues, it's him. In front of others, he took his own changes in stride... but every now and then, he'd let you in on the truth that deep down it is still a struggle. What he can't grasp is why you feel the way you do when you are so absolutely gorgeous and make him feel like the luckiest guy in the galaxy. He lets you know on the daily just in case you weren't sure.
Crosshair: He listens in silence as you tell him your insecurity. When you've told him, he pauses for a few seconds and utters, "you done?" He'll tell you straightaway what he thinks, that you are beautiful and how you make him feel like he has to protect you. He's not one for words, but he continues to let you know in his own way how important you are to him with gestures of affection.

Hunter + Separated
Hunter x fem!reader, established relationship
This was written to answer @leotawrites request from... like a year ago: They get separated during the battle on Tantiss and find each other again after it's all done.
I realized way too late in the process that I didn't need to write what she was doing during the battle itself. 𤦠But this got me through the worst of my writer's block, so thank you!
Word Count: 3,100
Warnings: Spoilers for the series finale of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, references to battle, mentions of torture and myriad injuries, guilt, and grief.

Hunter scanned the dark treeline over and over, calling your name as loudly as he dared.Ā
āShut up!ā Crosshair hissed, shoving at his shoulder. āYouāll give away our position.āĀ
Hunter glared at his brother. āPretty sure those bolts mean they already know our position.āĀ
Crosshair gave him a mulish look. āNot exactly. They have an idea, but everyone who actually saw us was neutralized by Wreckerās new friend.āĀ
āWouldnāt call it a friend,ā Wrecker muttered, gripping his shoulder. The unknown beast had done its best to take a chunk out of him before Wrecker could fight it off. Even through the cover of his helmet, Hunter could tell that Wrecker was wincing.Ā
āSheās gone,ā Hunter told them both, not needing to explain who exactly āsheā was. You were the only unknown in the situation outside of Echo and Omega. And the Batch was closing in on their location as quickly as possible.Ā
āI saw,ā Crosshair agreed. āShe went after Rampart.āĀ
Wrecker scoffed, glancing out at the forest. āRampart? Heās not gonna last ten minutes out there with those things.āĀ
Hunter could feel the look Crosshair gave Wrecker, just as he could sense Wreckerās sheepish regret. āNot that she wonāt- She can take care of herself. Sheās fast.āĀ
āI can find her,ā Hunter insisted. It wasnāt a lie, or even an exaggeration. The two of you had been dating for some time - well, as much as anyone could find time to date around the horrors of fleeing the Empire. He knew your face, your voice, your scent, the vibrations of your footsteps.Ā
He knew where you were at that very moment. Not an exact location, since there were a lot of people in these woods, but he could get within a few yards of your trail and track you from there.
Even as Wrecker and Crosshair glanced at each other, Hunter scowled behind his helmet. He could find you with his eyes closed, even on Tantiss, but there just wasnāt time.
āBut weāre here for Omega.ā The gravity of the situation dripped from Hunterās tone, mingling with frustration and a tinge of defeat. āWe need to get her out of there while we still can.āĀ
āYou two track her and Iāll go get Omega,ā Crosshair offered. āYou can get past the creatures and Wrecker can guard your back from the reinforcements that were sent out.ā
Wrecker froze. āWai- What? No. We need to stay together.ā
You were getting further away. Hunter could feel it, sense the way your footsteps were heading deeper into the forest. He listened until the sound of his own heartbeat covered the sound of yours. It seemed⦠empty without the steadily echoing thump of your heart behind his.Ā
āClone Force 99 died with Tech,ā Crosshair snapped, and Hunter pulled his full attention to the conversation at hand. Crosshair was⦠offering to go retrieve Omega. Without backup. He would be totally alone, all so Hunter could search for you with Wrecker along for backup.Ā
āNo,ā Hunter refused, drawing on the familiar authority heād held when he was the sergeant of the squad. It seemed like a lifetime ago, but he slipped into the old role like it had never left him. āOmega needs us. All of us. So weāre doing this together.āĀ
Hunter glanced between his brothers, seeing the ghost of a goggled face among them. āLetās go get Omega.āĀ
ā
You were so sick of Rampart.Ā
The man had never been anything other than a thorn in your side, but you had agreed that capturing him was your best chance of finding Tantissās location. That didnāt mean you had to like him.Ā
Still, you werenāt willing to let him run off and die horribly⦠or, as a bigger concern, tell the Empire about the Bad Batchās location. That would be exactly something he would do, you thought grimly, give up everyone else in a last-ditch effort to save his own skin.Ā
And then you had to try really hard not to think about parallels, because you watched a group of troopers capture him, and you did nothing to help. You reasoned that there wasnāt much you could do against a whole platoon, but you really didnāt feel guilty in the slightest as you watched them attach the binders to Rampartās wrists and march him roughly onto their waiting transport.Ā
At least you had done your best to recapture the asset.Ā
You turned, fighting the urge to literally dust your hands free of the situation, but you froze soon afterward. You⦠had no idea where the rest of the Batch could be. Rampart had run in a reasonably straight line, but there werenāt many distinguishing marks in the forest. You had no idea whether you could find the others and, even if you could get back to the right clearing, whether anyone would still be there. It wasnāt like they could wait around forever.Ā
Traveling with the Bad Batch had honed a lot of your skills, especially in choosing a path and executing the right steps for it, but you froze for a moment as you weighed the pros and cons of the different ways you could handle the situation.Ā
A loud, horrible crack drew your attention toward the mountain. You had half a moment to wonder whether the Empire would be stupid enough to build their ultra-secret laboratory into an active volcano, but a rush of sound told you something else was happening.Ā
You picked your way through the trees, moving gingerly to avoid the hyper-alert troopers. Eventually, you made your way to a ridge tall enough to look out over the mountain. There, so far around the other side that it was nearly out of view, you could see an interruption in the otherwise-uniform silhouette of the mountainās slopes.Ā
Squinting didnāt help much in the dim light of the moon, but you tried it anyway. Was it a landslide? That would be an incredible coincidence, and you were starting to doubt that those ever truly happened.Ā
Your eyes widened when you finally saw the towering creature fighting its way free of the mountain. You hadnāt the slightest clue what it was or how it had gotten there, but it had to have something to do with the Bad Batch. There wasnāt enough coincidence in the entire galaxy to explain that away.Ā
At first, the giant hole in the side of the mountain seemed like an ideal place to get inside, but then you saw a swarm of troopers descending on the area.Ā
You ducked for cover as an approaching ship hovered lower and lower until it gently came to land in a nearby clearing. The doors opened, releasing another platoon. Every trooper took up a position, aiming into the forest. You held your breath to cut off all movement, but you noticed that they werenāt aiming at anything in particular.Ā
āMake for the entrance, men,ā the leader ordered, his voice slightly rough through the distortion of his helmetās external speakers. āWe got warning that some of the insurgents are trying to infiltrate through it.āĀ
One of the other troopers piped up: āSir, we donāt have the men to build a formation big enough to-ā
āThen weāll start a partial formation,ā the leader said grimly. āOur backup can fill in the gaps when they arrive. Understood?āĀ
A chorus of āYes, sir!ās met him, then they clattered their way off through the dark forest toward the smoking ruin that formed a large chunk of the mountainās base.Ā
You eyed the now-empty ship. There was a pilot onboard, and you didnāt think you could do anything as wild as capture a transport before he alerted the chain of command about what was happening. But you could sneak on, especially since he was only just starting to prepare the ship for takeoff.Ā
A low, scurrying run wasnāt elegant and you knew that Crosshair would mock you mercilessly if he ever saw it, but it got you to the ship before the doors closed, and the pilot didnāt seem to have seen you. There were holorecorders in the main section of the ship, but their activation happened fairly late in the pre-flight process and you were pretty sure the pilot hadnāt gotten there yet.Ā
The small corridor built for droids would work to shield you from the holorecorders, as well as anyone who might board the ship. If you were lucky, you could get off the ship between landing inside the mountain and the next group of soldiers getting onboard. And if you were unlucky, you could ride comfortably in the corridor. It wasnāt pressurized, but you would be fine as long as the ship didnāt break atmosphere.Ā
However, when the ship landed, the pilot powered down the ship and left. You sat huddled in the droid corridor for a count of three-hundred, but didnāt hear any sounds. Not on the ship, anyway - distant explosions echoed through the hangar.Ā
Finally, you emerged, checking carefully that you were alone. You were, but you hesitated before you left the dubious shelter of the LAAT/i. It wouldnāt be impossible for the Batch to blow up Tantiss entirely, in which case, it would be smartest to take the ship and leave.Ā
But they could also need your help. And if they did, you couldnāt bear to leave them behind and risk them being injured or worse.Ā
So you stepped off the ship, reasoning that they wouldnāt have had time to evacuate all of the troopers yet. Still, there was an extra energy in your step as you raced toward the action. You needed to make sure they knew you were there so they didnāt leave you behind.
When you were close enough to smell the smoke, a skull emerged from the shadows.Ā
You gasped, freezing in place with your hands raised defensively. With more than a split second to look ahead, you could see that it wasnāt a skull at all, but a dangerously emaciated clone trooper.Ā
He was watching you, sunken eyes wary. You kept your hands where they were, though you were less concerned about ghosts than you were about the DC-17M blaster rifle the trooper held pointed at your heart.Ā
āWho are you?ā he demanded, a reedy edge to his harsh voice.Ā
You gave your name. You were only dimly aware that there were other troopers approaching behind the one with the rifle - your entire focus had narrowed on the muzzle of the blaster and the wild eyes of the clone trooper. āIām with-āĀ
āStand down, trooper,ā a more familiar voice ordered.Ā
āEcho!ā you greeted gratefully. A glance to the side made your smile grow. āAnd Omega! Good to see you both.āĀ
āWhat are you doing here?ā Omega asked, watching the unfamiliar clone trooper lower the blaster.Ā
āLooking for the others,ā you explained. āI lost them outside of the mountain. Have you seen them?āĀ
āCaptured,ā Echo said grimly.Ā
Your heart squeezed with fear and horror. Some of that must have bled through to your expression, because Omega gave an encouraging nod. āDonāt worry - weāre going to save them now. We just need to get these injured clones to a ship.āĀ
āThere are a few LAAT/is in the hangar,ā you remembered, hooking a thumb back over your shoulder. āThatās how I got here.āĀ
āYou can fly a LAAT/i?ā Echo asked.Ā
You shook your head. āI stowed away.āĀ
āI can,ā one of the other troopers volunteered. āI can fly any ship in the Republic fleet. Just get to me to it and I can do the rest.āĀ
There was a sinking feeling in your gut at that. Sure enough, Omega was watching you hopefully when you turned around.
āOmega, I-āĀ
āWe need you to,ā Echo interrupted firmly. āIāll take a volunteer group of troopers to go save them, but we need you to get these men to a ship.āĀ
āI canāt just leave,ā you argued.Ā
āNo one said you have to leave,ā Omega corrected. āJust take them to the hangar and get them on a ship. Then come find us. You have Echoās comlink frequency. Track it and thatāll show you where we are.āĀ
āIām not sure thatās a good idea,ā Echo said, looking uncomfortable at the idea of bringing someone new into whatever situation he expected to find.Ā
Omega shrugged up at him. āWe need all the help we can get.āĀ
Echoās sigh only served as a wordless agreement.Ā
āFine, Iāll see you both soon,ā you decided. āEveryone else, follow me. Iāll get you to the hangar.āĀ
The process of guiding the troopers wasnāt quick, but it was remarkably efficient. They had already figured out who was well enough to help the others and who should be at the front of the group to help set the pace. That was especially convenient, since it allowed you to help the troopers who were struggling the most without having to leave your place leading the group.Ā
At long last, you had helped everyone load onto a LAAT/i and passed along the coordinates Echo had sent to get them to a safe system. The instant you were safely off the ship, the pilot deftly flew the ship into the pouring rain and you rushed back into the belly of the mountain.Ā
Echoās comlink frequency wasnāt moving.Ā
That wouldnāt have been too concerning, but it continued not to move for most of the time it took you to reach it. You sent up a prayer to whatever gods were listening that he had simply dropped the comlink. The idea of something worse happening was enough to send you into near-panic.Ā
The sound of your name being called behind you made you freeze. āHunter-?ā
When you had passed the large door, it had been closed. You hadnāt actually known that it led outside, but with the door panel standing open, you could see the long path to a landing platform fading away behind sheets of rain.Ā
More importantly, Hunter, Crosshair, and Omega were just inside that door, dripping wet and looking exhausted.Ā
āWhat happened?ā you demanded, rushing to them. āAre you hurt? Crosshair, your hand⦠We have to go! Hemlock could be here any moment-āĀ
āMeshāla,ā Hunter cut in, grasping your shoulders so you would pay attention. āWe donāt have to worry about Hemlock. Not now. Not ever again.ā He took a shaking breath and hugged you close. āWeāre finally safe.āĀ
You cradled him against you, nodding in acknowledgment as Omega gestured that she was going to find a ship. She and Crosshair moved around you both, headed toward the hangar.Ā
Hunter smelled like sweat and electricity, his body trembling like a leaf. He pressed his face beneath your jaw and took a deep breath. You could feel the heat of tears against the skin of your neck. Even there, in the horrible aftermath of a long and painful battle, you found a moment to soak each other in.Ā
Later that night, you jolted awake in your bunk aboard the Havoc Marauder. The lights of hyperspace flashed beyond the viewport covers, but that wasnāt what had jarred you back to consciousness - the bed was empty.Ā
It didnāt take long to find Hunter; he was in the cockpit. There wasnāt any manual flying to do, since you were in hyperspace and would continue to be for hours, but he was staring through the viewport as if he was concentrating intently.Ā
āHunter?ā you asked gently.Ā
With his enhanced senses, there was no way he hadnāt heard you approaching, but there was something odd about the set of his shoulders. You wouldnāt risk startling him, not after he had been through so much so recently.Ā
He hummed softly in answer. You took that as an invitation and stepped into the cockpit.Ā
When you were sitting in the copilotās chair, you let yourself look over at Hunter. His eyes were aimed out of the viewport, but they werenāt as sharp as you thought they would be. Instead, he seemed to be staring through the transparisteel blankly, his focus clearly aimed at his own thoughts instead of at the stars rushing past.Ā
āAre⦠are you okay?ā you asked, fully knowing how silly the question was but unable to articulate it any other way.Ā
āI donāt know yet.āĀ
The answer was quiet and soft, more thoughtful than dismissive. You nodded understandingly.Ā
āItās hard to believe itās all over.āĀ
āIs it over?ā Hunter shook his head. āEvery time I think about⦠about today⦠I have to wonder if there isnāt something else going on.āĀ
You frowned. It was hard not to ask too many questions, especially when he was saying things that made you worry. āDo you want to talk about it?āĀ
Hunter sighed lightly, little more than an exhale through his nose. āNot much to talk about. The Kaminoans could break us down and put us back together by the molecule. Hemlock had to do it the hard way. Shocks, beatings, psychological reprogramming. He wanted to turn us into his own soldiers.ā
Your throat went tight at the dismissive tone he used. You reached out, closing the distance between your chair and his to hold his hand. Hunter accepted the touch easily, slipping his fingers through yours and giving a little squeeze.Ā
āYou want to know the worst part?ā Strictly speaking, you werenāt sure that you did, but you nodded anyway. āThere were others there that were Hemlockās soldiers. He had a team he used to capture us and I couldnāt stop thinking⦠What if he did that to Tech? What if one of those men was my own brother?āĀ
Hunterās eyes were bright with unshed tears, his voice tight. You stood, wrapping him in the tightest hug you could manage. Even as he returned your hug, Hunter choked out, āHow can things be over if Tech could still be out there?āĀ
āLetās get everyone to safety first,ā you suggested slowly. āWhen thatās done, we can go wherever you want. Weāll find him.ā
āAnd Omega?ā he asked, almost desperate. āShe finally has a chance to be a normal kid. How could I take that from her?āĀ
āStars, Hunter, we have contacts across the galaxy.ā You stroked gentle fingertips through his hair. āWe can gather leads from Pabu and, if we find something solid enough, weāll go check it out. You can decide then if you want to get anyone else involved or not.āĀ
Hunterās laugh was teary but sincere. āHow do you make it sound so simple?āĀ
āBecause it is,ā you reminded him. āWeāre together and weāre alive. We can figure out anything else.āĀ
āYouāre right,ā he agreed, pressing a kiss to your palm. āWeāll figure it out. Together. I love you, meshāla.āĀ āI love you too, Hunter,ā you murmured, pressing kisses to his forehead, cheeks, and finally his lips. āEverything will be okay. Weāll make it okay.ā
---
Author's Note - As you can probably tell, I lean toward the theory that Tech isn't perma-dead. We'll see!

Confess
3k words NSFW Echoxreader
Someone requested some Echo smut and so I gave it a shot.
You catch Echo off guard and he has to deal with his feelings for you.
Laid up in the dimly lit corner of Cid's parlor, Echo grumbled under his breath as AZI-3 performed a body scan. Flanking him were you and his brothers, forming a protective semicircle. Omega, always eager to be involved, stood near Echoās head, her eyes darting between you and the rest of the Batch as you all did a bit of bickering.
Chuckling, you lowered yourself into a bedside chair, āWrecker, when are you going to learn to keep your eyes up.ā
The burly clone rolled his eyes and head in the same exasperated expression. āI do keep āem up!ā
āConsidering you nearly made all of us fall, Iād say you didnāt this time.ā Tech drolled.
At the mention of the fall, Echo gingerly touched the swelling bump on his head, a reminder of the chaos when Wrecker lost his grip climbing a cable to the Marauder, resulting in both of them plummeting twenty feet to the ground. Your voices were gradually sharpening the dull ache in his head.
A streak of red on Echoās hand caught your eye. A tear in his glove exposed a cut you hadnāt noticed at first glance. As Tech and Wrecker continued their argument, oblivious to the new development, you reached out and gently grasped Echo's wrist.Ā
āEcho.ā You said warily, as you pulled his injured hand closer for a better look. He kept his eyes shut, already knowing what you were about to say.
"Just a scratch, nothing to worry about," he murmured dismissively, trying to withdraw his hand, preferring to ignore the injury than address it in front of everyone.
You kept a firm grip on his hand, the pressure pushing a fresh drop of blood to the surface. Before he pulled away again, you took his bleeding finger into your mouth. The feel of your mouth around his gloved finger sent Echo lurching to attention. He was so caught off guard that he smashed his head straight into AZI.
At the same time Echo shoved away AZI and snatched his hand back. His sudden outburst had you reaching for him again, at least to stabilize him, but he had already scrambled up from his prone position, his eyes wide with shock. "What are you doing?" he blurted out, still wincing from the collision.
You opened your mouth to explain, but Echo cut you off, raising his hand to halt your words. He glanced down at his hand, then back at you, his cheeks coloring slightly.
Echo noticed the questioning look on your face and quickly averted his eyes. His voice carried a biting edge as he stammered, "I-Itās not clean."
Like every clone youād ever met, Echo was a terrible liar.
You were about to respond when Hunter intervened, patting Echo on the shoulder with a light-hearted remark. "Glad to see you're okay." This gave Echo the perfect opportunity to divert attention from the awkward moment.
As AZI began to relay the results of his scan, your gaze lingered on Echo. You leaned back, puzzled by his intense reaction. During your time together, Echo had never before recoiled from such a simple touch. Well except once.
Echo soon walked off with his brothers, his attention drifting as he replayed the moment you had taken his gloved finger into your mouth.Ā The warmth that spread through him was something he thought the Techno Union's modifications had stolen for good. For the most part, his duties as a soldier kept him from thinking about it.
When the Batch reunited with you after Order 66, Echo knew he was feeling what you had when he was lost at the Citadel. His feelings only became more reoccurring.
Ā He would be lying if he said heād never thought back to the singular night the two of you used each other as a distraction. For Echo, it wasnāt just a distraction, you were so much more to him. You saw him as more than a number and he saw you for the soul you were beyond a Jedi. Fearless, proud, and beautiful. But he also saw you for what you were, a Jedi bound by selflessness.Ā
Before Skako Minor, during a night spent in a medbay. Echo had been severely injured and, late that night you snuck in to see him. The weight of almost losing him overwhelmed you, and comfort turned into an embrace that quickly heated into staying the night wrapped around each other.
In the gray light of dawn, and under the threat of being discovered, you had mutually decided to confine that intimacy to just one night. However, Echo found himself frequently revisiting that decision. The memory of how you looked beneath him, the feel of your body pressed against hisāthese thoughts had been his companions through many lonely nights on the battlefield.
The warmth your mouth stoked in him spread, reminiscent of the heat from a kissāhis mouth on yours and then not just his fingers.
To be exact, the warmth of your mouth felt like it was around his cock. Even though your lips had touched him only briefly, his world narrowed to nothing but the memory of you.
A part of him felt undeserving and ashamed. You loyally spent years beside him, followed him to join the Bad Batch, and saw him as your most trusted friend. He wondered what youād think if you knew what had transpired in him.
As the evening faded and days passed, you watched Echo, noting the careful neutrality he maintained in his interactions. He brushed off the incident as if it were nothing, but you werenāt fooled. You remembered too well the last time he had reacted like this.
After the night you spent exploring each other, the next time you whispered close to him, he had jumped as if blasted in the ass. He'd stammered some feeble excuse before quickly excusing himself. This time, though, you were determined not to let history repeat itself without a proper resolution.
This time you werenāt letting him off so easily. The war was over. You were no Jedi and he was not bound by his role of a soldier.
You were kind enough to wait until you got him alone to push him. A few days after the incident, you finally noticed Echo heading towards the Marauder by himself. You made no attempts at hiding your presence, in fact you sing-songed his name on sight. When the only response was a soft chuckle and an āOver here,ā you continued towards Echo.Ā
He sat at the navigational screens, only turning slightly as you neared him. You smiled and leaned down, positioning yourself to look over his left shoulder for a shared view of the screens. The unexpected rush of emotionsāloud heartbeats and butterfliesāsurprised you.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Before second thoughts could hold you back, you reached out and gently touched his shoulder, your hand trailing down his arm until it rested over his. "Echo," you whispered softly.
Ā Ā Ā Ā At your touch, his back straightened. You angled your face close to his, maintaining the contact. You kept your hand over his until he finally turned to look at you, his expression a mixture of caution and curiosity. His head still faced forward as you delicately laced your fingers through his.
Ā Ā Ā He reared his head and looked at you full on, his pale hazel eyes wide. Maintaining eye contact you picked up his hand in yours and pulled his glove off with your other. A light pink mark running up his forefinger was all that was left of his gash.
Ā Ā You turned his hand over, inspecting the healing mark, then looked back to him. Echo swallowed and you couldnāt help doing the same.Ā
"Iām glad to see itās healing," you commented softly, your thumb tracing the faint line. "Looks clean, too."
"What are you doing?" Echo's voice was tense, a sharp contrast to his usual composure.
At the same time, you asked, "What happened when I touched your hand the other day?"
Echoās grip on your hand tightened, pulling you a fraction closer, almost as if he was challenging you. "You didnāt just touch me," he said, a hint of accusation in his tone.
You blinked at him, not suppressing your there it is smile. āWhat did I do then, Echo?ā
His usual straightforwardness faltered, making this avoidance all the more telling. He sighed and his grip loosened slightly. "Please, just let it go," he pleaded, trying to pull away.
But you were quick to act, gliding your tongue along the length of his finger, a bold move that turned his hand rigid in yours. You ended with a soft kiss pressed to his lips, cherishing the contact and the rush of emotions it brought.
It took a bit of courage for you to meet his eyes again, lips still on his finger.
His eyes were shut, lips pressed tight, and heat scorched his cheeks. If you didnāt know better, youād think he was suffering. The thought made you panic.
Feeling suddenly foolish, crouched before him with just the simple kiss of his hand, you realized the irony of the situation. You had been far more intimate before, yet now, in this small gesture, you felt incredibly vulnerable. Taking a deep breath to steady your nerves, you kissed his skin again, softly whispering an apology.
āIt made me think of you,ā Echo's voice broke through the silence, a choked and hurried confession as his eyes fluttered open to briefly plead with the unknown before settling intensely on you. āWhen you licked my cut,ā he continued with a heavy sigh, surrendering to the moment, āit made me think of our night in the medbay.ā
That night had only been spoken of maybe twice over the years. During the war, you both had buried any thoughts of what could have been without the conflict. Because, without the war, you wouldnāt have Echo. But that hadnāt stopped you from recalling the things he whispered to you, or from clinging to the memory of how he felt during lonely nights.
Gently, you rolled his hand over to press his palm against your cheek, turning to kiss his touch tenderly. āIs that a bad thing?ā
Echo leaned closer, his prosthetic arm pressing lightly against your shoulder, grounding the moment with its weight. āOf course not,ā he replied sternly, his voice softening. āItās justāā
āBecause I like the idea of you remembering,ā you interjected before he could voice his doubts.
His hesitation wavered as he searched your face, looking for something that might tell him this was realāthat it was okay to feel this way. Finally, a gentle smile broke through his stoic facade, and he whispered back, "So do I."
Smiling into his skin you stuck your tongue out and licked him again. āAnd this?ā You said between kisses.Ā
His eyes fluttered at the sensation. āIt doesnāt feel like thatās my finger.ā
The sight of him, relaxing back and a smile on him made you pounce. You took two of his fingers into your mouth this time and he took a sharp breath as he watched his fingers disappear past your lips. Echo felt you hum and a shudder ran through him.Ā
Echo withdrew his hand, leaned forward, and scooped you up by your arms. He effortlessly lifted you, pressing you against the control panel of the Marauder. Your arms wrapped around his neck as he leaned in, his face hovering inches from yours, his gaze dropping to your lipsĀ
Overcome by the moment, you instinctively pulled your legs over his hips, drawing him closer. His hand moved quickly, silencing the beeping controls and sealing the hatch with a soft click, ensuring privacy.
"Careful," you whispered, your voice a playful taunt, even though you were completely alone. "Your training is showing, trooper."
Echo's response was a low chuckle, his lips hovering just a breath away from yours. "Say my name, please," he requested, his voice thick with emotion, turning the moment into a deeply personal plea rather than a mere flirtation.
You whined out a yes and said, āEcho.ā Before pressing your lips to his. You felt him groan softly, his tension melting away as he leaned into the kiss with ease. His tongue sought yours without hesitation, initiating a deep, earnest exploration rather than a wild rush. Each moment was about savoring the taste and feel of one another, deepening the connection that had been simmering between you for so long.
Echo eventually pulled back slightly, his nose brushing against yours in a tender gesture. "I think I've known since the moment we met," he confessed softly, his breath mingling with yours.
Your one hand slid up to his face, gently kissing, āAnd what is āthisā exactly?ā
Echo responded by capturing your bottom lip gently with his before he released it to murmur, "That Iād fall in love with you."
The words resonated deeply, sending a shockwave through your entire being. Every cell seemed to freeze, the significance of his admission striking a profound chord within you. On a reflex, you pulled back, creating a small space between you as you placed your hands on his shoulders to gently push him away.
Echoās expression quickly changed to alarmed as he blinked at you, eyebrows raised. When he started asking what was wrong, your hands fell to your pelvis with fingers quickly working at your pants.
His breath hitched as he realized what was going on and made enough space for you to pull your legs back and wiggle out of your pants. Your pants hadnāt hit the ground and heād already pulled at his own clothes enough to expose himself fully to you.
Neither of you broke eye contact as you nestled back together. A smile and hum bubbled from you when you felt him glide over you.Ā
Echo, leaning on his hand for support, choked out a curse when he felt you drip over him. Using your legs as leverage around him, you slid against him before positioning yourself at the head of his cock.
With your hands cradling the sides of his face, your thumbs gently stroking his cheeks, you looked as if you may plead for your life. In a way you were.
āSay it again,ā you whispered, your voice a blend of demand and desperation.
Echo responded to the urgency in your voice, his actions mirroring the intensity of his emotions. As he closed the distance between you, joining your bodies slowly and thoroughly, the air seemed to thicken with anticipation. Though it felt like both of you could barely breathe, Echo's voice emerged clear and warm, filled with unwavering conviction.
"The moment I laid eyes on you, I fell in love with you," he confessed again, each word deliberate and heartfelt,Ā
The words themself sent a thrill through you, they hit you so hard you swore you couldāve came. You bit back a moan and he responded by pulling out a few inches and steadily pushing into you. He picked up a rhythm and his metallic arm steadied you against him.
Your hands held onto his shoulders for support as you pulled him into a kiss. Your body felt like it was thrumming, every move he made pulled a noise from you in some way as you came undone for him.
āEcho.ā His name was a panicked plea.
"Yes?" He replied, his forehead resting against yours, both of you sharing quick, shallow breaths in the intimate space.
Your eyebrows drew together, your fingers tightening on his shoulders as the words spilled from you, heavy and raw. "Iām so in love with you."
Ā It was Echo this time that stilled, his sudden stop left him throbbing inside you.āYouāre the most beautiful thing Iāve ever met.ā He said in awe of you. It felt like he released something deep inside him by allowing himself to say that. His eyes squeezed shut as another shudder ran through him. He let out a controlled breath. āIām about to-ā
It was you who now moved below him with quick, small thrusts, āIf you love me, do it inside.āĀ
Echo dropped his hand to your hip and rammed himself fully inside you in one last thrust. The entire time heād been inside you he had been stretching you, but him fully sheathed and pressing deep inside you was the point of no return. You writhed against him and contracted around him.Ā
āA-Are you?ā Was all he could manage when he felt another sudden wave of pleasure.
Ā āUh-huh,ā was all you could utter through the thrill of your orgasm. Knowing you were cumming for him, on him, made Echo move against you again, throbbing and filling you again to the point his cum finally spilled out of you.Ā
Your foreheads touched, still caught in each otherās close orbit, and for a few moments ou simply breathed in unison, the storm of emotions settling into a calm. Echo looked into your eyes, his gaze steady and clear.
āThat was a long time coming,ā Echo said, his voice low and sincere. There was a hint of wonder, as if he was still processing the reality of the moment. The quiet between you was comfortable as you started pulling yourselves together.
As Echo buckled his gear back up he said in a teasing tone, āSo, should we schedule our next confession for a few years from now or just surprise each other like today?ā
Your laughter rang out. āMaybe without so many life-or-death settings.ā
Echoās eyes met yours again, reflecting a shared happiness and a forward-looking optimism. It was clear that whatever the future held, you would face it together, with no hesitations and no barriers between you.

Surprise kiss!
Short little echo X reader scribble about how Echo is absolutely adorkable and insecure about kissing. Very chaste, no spice, slow and lots of thinking about each other. Set after the last episode in season 3.
I am no native speaker so please ignore minor mistakes in grammar and spelling. Hope you enjoy!
Echo
Echo sat in the cockpit, trying to make repairs after the last mission on tantiss, but he was distracted. After losing track of what he was even doing for the 5th time, he gave up. Leaning back into the chair, he closed his eyes. Tried to get his focus back. But his thoughts wandered back to before the mission.
As him and his brothers had been getting ready, just minutes before go time, y/n approached him. He was so attuned to her step, his heart had begun beating a little faster as soon as he heard the tip tap of her boots on the hangar floor. As he turned towords her, he had tried to put on an easy smile to show her how confident and cool a soldier he was. He had practiced that look in front of the mirror until it looked just right. And promptly failed when he saw her expression.
She had an upset look on her face, wringing her hands nervously, and his easy going smile turned into his usual, stern expression.
"please, stay safe. And come back", she had said, looking up at him with such sad eyes it had almost broken his heart. It felt both good and bad to have someone special worry so much about him.
He would have liked to calm her, if he only knew how. Even after all this time spend with her and Omega, he didn't quite get girls. Or women. So he said the only thing that came to mind:
"There's no guarantee a soldier comes back from a mission" he repeated what Rex had hammered into him before every mission.
"Oh" she had looked down. Echo had cursed himself for upsetting her even more. His playbook with the opposite sex was at an end now. It made him so nervous, he had started stuttering nonsense, trying to come up with something to make her happy.
"I didn't mean to- I meant to say- y-y-you know...", he had felt like such an idiot.
He wouldn't even have dared to dream what had happened next. Y/n had stretched her arms out, wrapping them around his neck. They almost never touched, especially not where he could directly feel her skin on his. Completely caught off guard, he barely had time to feel his skin tingle with the feeling of her warmth. She had pulled his face towards hers and kissed him. His body had gone into panic mode, freezing in position, heart beating so fast that he feared she might feel it through his chest plate.
The kiss had only lasted a few, heavenly seconds before she let go and ran away, denying him to do anything more than stare after her as his brain tried to make sense of what had just happened.
Echo had to smile at the memory, feeling his cheeks flush once again as he replayed the moment in his mind over and over again. Her lips had been so soft and sweet. Her hug so warm.
After coming back, he didn't have a chance to talk to her. The clones they had saved had to get settled in, everyone had to heal and rest.
Had she kept her distance? He wasn't sure. At moments like these, he wished fives was still here. He would surely know what to do.
Imagining his brother in his mind, fives would surely tell him to go to her and play it smooth. Whatever that last part meant. All he knew is that he had to man up and go to her. Talk to her. He was back, just as she wanted. And he was damned if that wasn't worth a second kiss.
With renewed resolve, he slapped the ships console and got up, determined to find y/n and play it smooth.
Y/N
You were so glad that everyone came back. Not everyone was in one piece, but they were alive and well. When you saw Echo's familiar silhouette appear from the ship, your heart skipped a beat. Relief washed over you. Soon followed by stress. In an instant of anxiety, you have decided to kiss him. Absolutely convinced that he would not come back, you decided to screw consequences and just go for it.
Now he was back and surely had questions, or at least a comment. Or a rejection.
Already hearing his deep, raspy voice say something like "I'm sorry, I don't like you that way" made you want to get on the next ship away from Pabu to live on a remote planet as a farmer.
Since that wasn't an option, you buried yourself in busy work, keeping your distance to Echo.
You sat at your usual spot at the beach, bare feet in the sand, watching the ocean waves. The calming sound of the water was relaxing after the busyness of the last days.
You sighed, lost in thought. So lost in fact, that you almost missed the crunching steps coming closer. The familiar sound of combat boots. Completely unprepared for that conversation, you saw Echo approach with his dark armor, helmet under his arm and golden eyes fixed on you.
Trying to pretend everything was normal, you waved and smiled, coaxing a lopsided grin from his face.
"hey", you greeted him, avoiding his gaze.
"hey" he answered, sitting down next do you.
Silence.
Awkward. Silence.
"So...", you started, at the same time as he said "Well..." Both of you stopped. He chuckled nervously.
You turned towards him, finding his golden amber eyes studying you. You felt your cheeks and ears furiously blushing.
"I'm back" he stated, leaning forward, "just as you ordered me to", his voice was low, his eyes searching your face for a reaction.
"yes, I'm glad" you drew your knees close and half buried your face in your arms to hide the embarrassment.
He etched closer, his arm almost touching you.
"Uhm, you know, before I left. What- what did it mean?" He swallowed hard, Adam's apple bobbing.
You pondered your answer. What did it mean?
Noticing your hesitation, Echo nervously clarified:
"the uhm...the k-k-iss." He whispered the words like it was something forbidden and secret.
His expression changed. Now that the words had left his lips, he looked insecure. The faintest hint of red could be seen on his pale, bony cheeks. That face, document to all the hardships he had endured, pale and sunken, yet it was all you could think about. His amber eyes were what drew you in. Kind and intelligent, determined they looked at you. You couldn't help but wanting to comfort him.
Slowly, you lifted your hand to his cheek and let you fingers glide down his face. Feeling his warm skin, the slightest hint of stubble.
"it meant that I would miss you a lot" you finally answered.
He swallowed hard again, eyes darting.
"you, too" he rasped, and very carefully lifted his good hand to your chin, lifting it so you faced him directly. He licked his lips and his eyes fluttered shut. Leaning in for a kiss, you could hear his nervous breathing. He tried to shift his weight and lean on in the scomp link attached to his arm.
It was stable, sure, but still just a metal rod. He hit a stone and it glided away to the side. Just as he was about to touch your lips, he toppled over to the side, landing in the sand with a loud curse.
It was puzzling how he could manoeuvre with absolut precision in one Moment, and trip over his own body the next. You had to laugh. It was freeing and relaxing, breaking the tension. You could hear his barking laugh chime in. It was such a rare sight to see him laughing, full of warmth.
The uneasy atmosphere was gone, Echo stretched and rolled on his back, still smiling at you. He looked good like this.
When he was about to get up, you put a hand on his chest and pushed him gently back down. With newfound boldness, you straddled his hips, earning a surprises gasp from him, and bent down to finally kiss him.
Authors note: I recently read a post about how he sometimes really is a bit clumsy, and I think it's adorable. I also like to think that he's the kind who likes to be prepared, so he is surely helpless in the face of romance. I hope you enjoyed my little debut story, leave a comment and let me know what you think

star wars masterlistĀ ||Ā pinned post

Everything had been going wrong today.
Training had been a mess as you seemed to be incapable of fulfilling any stunt your master had thrown at you.
Youād managed to embarrass yourself in front of not only your men but all the present GAR officials by reintroducing your entire last meal when you started feeling dizzy and sick.
And worst of all? You were now damned to a day of bed rest when said men had gotten tasked with taking care of you by your master upon your little mishap. And not just any men.
āAnd hereās your soup!ā You grimaced as Fives placed the metal tray with a hot bowl of beverage on the nightstand next to the medical bed youād been damned to. āNo way,ā you sassed, dramatically pushing the tray away, though not without wrinkling your nose in disgust.
āOh, yes way.ā With a strict tone, Echo ā whoād been sitting on the edge of the bed and pressing a wet cloth against your forehead to cool your already burning skin ā took the spoon and bowl. But as soon as the soup approached your face, you wailed and slapped his hand away. Echo sighed.
āYouāre going to have to eat something, commander.ā
āNuh-uh.ā Fives snorted at your response before sitting down on the other side of the bed. āYuh-uh,ā he mocked before brushing a matted strand of hair out of your sweaty face, āif you wonāt do it for yourself, do it for us. Pleaaaasseee?ā
You furrowed your brows for a second and eyed the spoon Echo still held up to your lips suspiciously. Then, you abruptly leaned over and gulped down the soup before furrowing your brows. āForce, thatās disgusting.ā
Echo grinned apologetically. āYeah, those are the flu rations they give out when Bacta doesnāt do the trick⦠they taste like soggy bantha meat if you ask me.ā You choked out a giggle. āMore like rancid blue milk.ā āOr rotten bloatgourd!ā Fives added as he leaned over.
Your fits of giggles quickly turned into full blown laughter at that. Suddenly you couldnāt help but think that just maybe, this sick day wonāt end up as bad as it began.

The Bad Batch discovering you stayed loyal to Empire HCs
2.7k words !
The jungle is coloured in hues of silver, the overhead canopy filtering in just enough moonlight to see. Despite hearing the Marauder flying above, he canāt see the ship yet and thus, the chase is still on.
Branches crack under his heavy boots. Vines sway as he sprints past them. He can feel his lungs burn but he ignores it, urging his body onwards.Ā
He knows you're closing in. Well, he doesnāt know you are⦠whenever he manages to glance behind as he runs, all the clone sees is the new assassin sent by the Empire gaining on him.
He follows the instructions that are hurriedly given through his comm. āJust another few metres and thereās a clearing, weāll get you there!ā his brotherās voice assures him. It doesnāt seem like a difficult task but as he stumbles out onto the clearing and realises itās a cliff edge, things become interesting.
You know better than to run straight out after him and instead opt to stay close to the tree line. As the Marauder hovers closer to him, a sigh escapes your lips.
Maybe you wonāt be able to capture him this time but as he looks back at you, you decideĀ to take off your helmet and show him exactly who this new assassin is...
HUNTER
Hunter thought the Empire couldnāt hurt him anymore. But here you are. He presumed he lost you a long time ago but now youāre standing in front of him, a slight scowl darkening your face as you stand your ground.
For a moment, Hunter forgets that heās just a few feet away from escaping this close encounter. All of his thoughts are consumed by you. How are you still alive? And why are you working for the Empire?!Ā
He says your name in a mere whisper, the engines of the ship behind him easily drowning out his words. But you donāt need to hear his words to know how Hunter feels.Ā
There is a look of misery and regret in Hunterās eyes, a sad acceptance of things that could have gone a different way.
You know this is your chance. Heās completely vulnerable, shock distracting him from his hypervigilant senses. If you wanted to take the shot, this was your chance⦠but you donāt. Instead you simply stare, a feeling you thought you long buried rising within you.
If this happened when the Batch first strayed from the Empire, before they truly knew the cruel dictatorship they were up against, Hunter would have offered you his hand and tried his best to convince you to come with them.Ā
But now? This far into the tyranny of the Empire? Itās a painful realisation but Hunter knows youāve already chosen a side. Heās already been through the turmoil of this with Crosshair, he canāt go through that again just for you to reject his help.
Hunter knows that leaving the Empire has to be a decision you make. Not him.Ā
And so Hunter makes his escape, grabbing onto the rope Wrecker has thrown down for him. He knows this wonāt be the last time you two meet, and he knows youāre letting him go on purpose.
Hunter knows you too well and he knows that you could have fought harder if you wanted to.
Slowly watching as you turn back and retreat into the darkness of the jungle, Hunter sighs, hoping that maybe the you he knows and lov-⦠*ahem*, the you he knows is still in there somewhere, deep deep down.
WRECKER
Wrecker smiles when he spots you but that quickly turns to shock and sadness. Looking back at the others on the ship, Wrecker gives them a confused look that reads āare you seeing what Iām seeing?!ā. Wrecker is every emotion.
After all this time apart, youāre right in front of him and yet youāre not. Wreckerās smile slowly dims, his initial joy slowly fading as he comes to the realisation that it was you chasing him through the jungle so ferociously.Ā
Wreckerās face grows sullen. How has it come to this? He doesnāt understand but he knows this isnāt you. It canāt be! You mustāve gone through the same treatment as Crosshair or maybe they have something theyāre using against you.
He refuses to believe youāre doing this because you want to and so against his better judgement, Wrecker ignores the shouts of his brothers to retreat and heads straight for you.
With renewed determination, Wrecker manages to dodge a few of your attacks. He tries to disarm you without actually hurting you.
He canāt just leave you here, not when youāre like this and in the Empireās grasp. Wrecker would never forgive himself if he leaves without you.
Despite having trained with you in the past, this is a completely different experience. This isnāt sparring. This is a fight. You slash your blade through the air each time he nears you, Wrecker moving as swiftly as he can. Youāre like a wild animal being cornered, your eyes darting around as you try to maintain the upper hand.
The Marauder lowers to the ground as Hunter and Crosshair jump out, ready to help their brother (and to also make sure Wrecker doesnāt get himself killed).Ā
With their help, Wrecker manages to disarm you... and he may have accidentally knocked you unconscious too. He swears he didnāt mean to put you in a headlock that tight! But honestly, itās probably a happy accident thatāll make this a lot easier.
Even though the others are dubious about having you on the ship, Wrecker is adamant that they have to help you and make you see what the Empire truly is. You would have done the same for any of them and so itās only right that they help you now.
With AZI scanning you for any serious injuries (or microchips), Wrecker sits beside you and patiently waits for you to awake, his head hanging low as he tries to come to terms with this new revelation.
ECHO
Seeing you again is like defeating impossible odds and it makes Echo come to a sudden realisation. The moment is an unexpected one, yet somehow deeply familiar.
Echo wonders if this is how Rex felt when he realised Echo was still alive and on Skako Minor.
He wants to reach out to you, to offer you his hand... but he doesnāt. Instead, Echo hesitates. The powerful urge to act on his impulse lingers for a moment before rational thinking catches up to his heart and he stops himself.
He canāt help it as his concern grows for you. The unfortunate thing is, Echo knows that you might not even want his help. Maybe itās too late and Echo wouldnāt be able to sway you from your stance in all of this.Ā
Echo is still plagued by how he was forced to help the Separatist forces during the war and so much of the concern he feels for you stems from his dreary past.Ā
Slowly taking a few steps in your direction, Echo approaches you with caution. Heās careful to maintain a constant vigilance over your hands and movements, being aware of how quickly this could go wrong. He tries to ask why youāre with the Empire, if youāre aware of what theyāre doing to the clones.Ā
Echo knows that you care about the clones, or that at least you did at some point. Even if your beliefs have changed, heās confident you would never stand for what the Empire is doing to his brothers. If he can just get you to hear him out, then heās certain you can both get to some sort of an understanding.Ā
The last thing Echo wants to do is argue, especially with how high tensions are. Echo knows you. Of course he does. You two have been through so much. And so he knows that all he needs to do is fill you in on the mistreatment of the clones and youāll turn your back on the Empire⦠right?
Despite the fact that you were just chasing him, Echo doesn't want this to be a āyou vs himā sort of thing. If you listen to him and open your eyes to what the Empire truly is, then Echo can assure you that with some time, you can be brought into the fold of the rebellion. This isnāt the end and he assures you that any trust that may have faltered can be restored.Ā
Of course Echo wants you to join them immediately, hence why he initially went to offer you his hand. But for that to actually happen, he needs to see some sort of cooperation from you, whether that be a plea for help, you lowering your weapons to the ground or simply engaging in conversation when he informs you about the clones.
If you choose to go with them, Echo would call for some back up from the ship, reassuring you as Hunter and Wrecker join him. Itās only a precaution in case some kind of sleeper agent training activates. Itās going to take a while for them to trust you again so be prepared for a lot of āprecautionsā.
But if you choose to stay with the Empire? Well, at least Echo knows he tried.
TECH
Tech should have seen this coming. The Empireās latest play of deploying assassins to hunt them down has resulted in an essential need for stealth.
Not only is that one of your strong suits but your great track record and prior relationship with the Batch makes you the perfect candidate to locate and eliminate them. In hindsight, Tech feels as though you were the obvious choice.
Tech contemplates holding his ground against you but with the Marauder so close, he realises that retreating is the most logical option. He is mindful of his movements, slowly taking steps backwards as to not startle you or trigger you into action.Ā
After hearing about how the Empireās harsh ways of conditioning people, Tech is aware that whatever they may have subjected you to may have drastically changed you. The likelihood that you might not be the you Tech once knew is unfortunately high.
Tech's mindset is one of caution and pragmatism, balancing the risks and benefits of each option. So while he would ideally want you to lay down your weapons and come with them peacefully, he needs to think about his brotherās and Omegaās safety; something that could be jeopardised further if you joined them.
Not only would you joining them cause potential problems for them, but Tech is conscious of how that would endanger you too.
What if youāre chipped with a tracker? Would the Empire be able to track you down easily, and thus them too? He refuses to make such an impulsive decision and ask you to come with them.
In an ideal world, this would never happen. You would never be with the Empire. But here you are, and this is something Tech isnāt going to dismiss simply because he thought you were a close ally back in the day.
Once Tech is sure heās close enough to the ship, he swiftly boards the platform. You watch the ship slowly rise higher and higher, the look on your face one that Tech is unable to read.Ā
Before he loses sight of you, Tech gives you a simple nod. Itās not a nod of respect - how can it be when youāre doing the Empireās dirty work?! - but it is one of recognition. Recognition of what was once between you both as well as the familiarity of an old pawn of the Republic seeing a new pawn of the Empire.Ā
He needs to think, to analyse this new development. Tech remains calm as the Marauder soars away from you and through hyperspace. The others all speak over each other at this new development but Tech is quiet.
Right now, his main concern is to come up with potential ways of meeting you again in hopefully less hostile circumstances and to find out what exactly is going on.Ā
CROSSHAIR
Crosshair wishes this was a surprise to him. But honestly? You and him were always close, having a deeper understanding of each other than most. And so if the Empire was able to keep him for so long then he unfortunately sees how theyāve been able to keep their grasp on you too.
He takes a moment to analyse your stillness. Youāre simply standing there, watching; as if youāre waiting for him to make the first move.
Despite the scowl on your face, Crosshair acknowledges that you havenāt moved for your blaster yet. Perhaps youāre conflicted?Ā
You took off your helmet for a reason. You wanted him to know that itās you. For Crosshair, thatās enough to deduce that maybe youāre doubting the Empire and the mission theyāve given you.
If thereās anyone who can sympathise with your predicament, itās Crosshair. And while he doesnāt know all the facts or why youāre here, he knows first hand how the Empire has basically drilled it into peopleās heads that theyāre the good guys and so he canāt blame you for carrying those beliefs.Ā
Crosshair has heard this plea before. Heās heard it countless times but that was when his brothers were the ones trying to convince him to abandon the Empire. But now heās on the opposite side and trying to persuade you to leave the Empire.
He opens his hands, almost as if surrendering but in reality he just wants to show you heās not reaching for a weapon either. All he wants to do is talk and to make sure youāre aware that just because youāre on opposite sides doesnāt mean youāre necessarily enemies.
Unfortunately this is the part that Crosshair is bad at. Talking. Reasoning. Not being sarcastic or saying a snide comment. He isnāt as compassionate as Hunter, nor can he find the right words like Echo usually can in situations like this.Ā
āI thought you were too smart to fall for the Empireās lies,ā Crosshair can practically hear Omega sigh in the Marauder at his choice of words but itās how heās always talked to you. Neither of you have ever minced your words before. Clearing his throat, he tries again, keeping his words genuine and making sure you know he wants to help.
Even if youāre receptive to his truce, Crosshair is hesitant to bring you with them. Not because you may be conditioned to bend to the Empireās every whim but because he fears what they may do to you if they realise you've went AWOL. Crosshair knows exactly what itās like to get on the bad side of the Empire and itās something he would never wish on you.
Whatever your decision is, Crosshair respects it. He wonāt pester you to change your mind.
Crosshair still believes in you and whatever it is you decide to do, heāll trust. Whether youāre on opposite sides of the galaxy, a war, or a game of Dejarik, Crosshair will always have trust in you.

Hello there! I'm not sure if you're still accepting requests, but I was hoping I could get a Tech and Echo comfort blurb from you. It's almost been a year since the Bad Batch ended and lately I've been feeling kinda...empty. I associate spring with the Bad Batch, since that's when I watched it for the first time and when S2 and S3 were airing. It's spring, and we have no new episodes on the horizon, it just feels like something's missing. Knowing that we'll probably never see Clone Force 99 (or Tech) again, watching as the fandom I've grown to love slowly dissolves as people start to move on... I'm sorry, I'm rambling! But you get the idea. I know I'm not the only person feeling this way either. ā¤ļø Please and thank you!
I'm still here just about every day. It's just that requests really died down. I still hope we will see these characters again and they're never truly gone while we still have them, write about them, draw them, and love them.
Reminder that this is a Tech lives blog. This fic takes place after Tantiss and after Tech comes home. Cuddles and bed sharing (platonic implied) included.
You tossed and turned as the nocturnal island birds let out hums. It wasn't always enough to keep your mind calm while you tried to find rest. It wasn't long before Echo stirred in his own bed. He had never been a very deep sleeper. While most clones were light sleepers on account of childhood drills preparing them for war, Echo was especially prone to waking up when he sensed either danger or someone in need.
He crept into your bed next to you as he had done on numerous occasions. Your body shifted as he laid back. You felt a familiar warmth of his hand gently rubbing your arm. He didn't like waking you, but sometimes waking up and resetting was your best bet. Sometimes you wanted a cuddle and other times you needed to get up and move. You rolled over and slowly opened your eyes.
"Echo?" you asked despite being sure it was him.
"Yeah," he answered. "You were tossing again."
You both knew what it was. Ever since Tech returned you didn't quite trust it. You didn't want to cling to him, but you also didn't want to let him out of your sight.
Echo sat up in bed and nodded toward the door. You sleepily climbed out and followed him, grabbing a blanket to wrap over your shoulders as you headed down the hall.
A familiar light came from the living room. Despite the darkness around him, Tech remained focused on his datapad; updating his entries on the wildlife around Pabu. You smiled at the sight of him hunched over as he looked up.
"Problem?" he asked.
"Sleep or lack thereof," you answered.
Echo sat on the other side of the couch from Tech which was your cue to sit between them. You tried to get comfortable, but felt the overwhelming urge to hold on to both of them and make sure they were real. You felt frozen and unable to articulate your worries.
"I have completed my work," Tech said as he tried to read the situation.
"What would help?" Echo asked you.
The words fell out of your mouth before you could stop them.
"I don't want to lose you. I worry when I'm alone. I can't stop my brain from churning over the fear of loneliness."
Tech stood up and offered you a hand up. Echo followed. This situation required more than sitting on the couch together. You all wandered back toward the bedroom where the men wordlessly pushed two beds together. Echo threw a giant blanket over the makeshift nest as Tech laid down and opened an arm, offering you the chance to snuggle close to his chest. Echo got into bed on the other side of you and placed his hand on your shoulder as a reminder that he was there too.
"Let's go flying tomorrow," he suggested. "You don't have to work and it might do us some good."
"Yes," Tech agreed through a yawn. "A short flight to a nearby island for exploring is precisely what we need."
You smiled. You loved watching them in a new environment. Echo was practical and kept an eye out while Tech took in every creature he could find and share everything he knew about them. Your time together was something you treasured.
"That sounds perfect," you replied. You reached up to squeeze Echo's hand and then leaned into Tech further while Echo got into a comfortable position with his cybernetics. You couldn't help but yawn and relax at the feeling of them on either side of you, safe and close. They were right there and wouldn't leave you behind.

āWhere the stars can shineā
Summary: the fighting never stops, and it never will so itās in everyoneās best interest to find the calm moments when you can.
Pairing: The Bad Batch x padawan!reader (OF COURSE THIS IS PLATONIC)
Warning: none just so much fluff!
Word count: 1261 (not proof read but what did you expect)
Notes: IM WATCHING THE NEW BAD BATCH SEASON AFTER THIS! So this is my way of manifesting everyone being alright to end the show š„²
The war never ended, nor would it for anyone who has endured it and its intensity.
One fight always rolled into another and nothing could be done to stop it. The only way to get through it was to find the little cracks in all the bad. The place where the sun could shine and the flowers could grow.
Or in this case, the stars could twinkle.
"This is already too high for me." Wrecker stated loudly hauling himself up the side of the Marauder.
Crosshair, who was currently under Wreck scoffed to himself before clambering up the side like it was nothing. "You never seem to have that problem when we're in the air." He quipped.
"Well I'm inside then." He whined finally being assisted by Hunter who had the small hands of Omega making sure he didn't fall.
You could only laugh at the scene, leaning back on Echo you could feel him laugh too.
"Who do you think's falling off first?" You ask with a smile that was masked by the moonlight.
"The real question is," Echo leaned forward, surprised a little bit that the top of the marauders could fit 5 fully grown clones plus omega and the Jedi padawan. "Who's going to be pushed off first."
You looked back towards him and in an instant you spoke the same word together. "Tech."
Speaking of the devil, Tech's voice rang out as you looked over to where he had an arm pointing something out beyond the horizon.
"-and if you look there you'll be able to see Endor"
Omega's eyes lit up brighter than they have been in the past few days, nothing seemed to be going right for that bad batch no matter how much they tried.
"Have you guys been there?" Omegas eyes scanned the rest of her family that sat gazing with her. The sky on this backwater planet was surprisingly clear, clearer than you thought it would be.
"Eh once or twice." Hunter shrugged it off with a smile as all that Omega could do was gawk up at her big brother.
"Thats an understatement." Crosshair added quietly from beside you. With a nudge to your shoulder he added. "That meat-head over there blew up more than half the forest and got us kicked out. For life."
"Hey!" Wrecker let go of his strong grip of the Marauder with one hand to wave it at the sniper.
Omega giggled giving you a glance as you could help but laugh at the exchange. "Have you?"
You could only smile at the found memories the question brought you. Landing with your Master on a planet you've never even heard of at that time. The trees the towered over you and the abundant shades of green that you didn't even know existed. The faint sound of your master laughing as you stared up from the base of the tall trees fathomed by the hight.
"Yeah I went once I think during the Clone Wars. It was beautiful there." You spoke, the smiles spread from Omegas face to Hunters as he watched you retell the fond memories.
"Well I also did kinda crash into a tree there but other than that the rest was beautiful." Echo hide his laugh behind you as you told the more embarrassing part of the trip.
"I think I did hear about that one." The ex arc trooper spoke out. You shoved him back slightly as your gaze returned to the stars above.
"Now if you all turn your gazes eastward you can spot the Orion constellation which should also mean the Canis Major is pretty close." Tech pointed upward now, his own eyes locked tightly on the stars.
"That one has the brightest star in the whole galaxy right?" Omega filled in, whether Tech wanted to continue himself or not he could only beam down at the girl, who clearly heard this from him before.'
You smiled also recounting when Tech probably told the group for the first time.
The bounty hunters came from nowhere that day, Omega gripped on the back of Echo's armor plateĀ with tears streaking down her face clearly scared.
Tech stood above you the, a data pad scanned over you as Hunter tried to apply some pressure to a wound you sustained on your side. Wrecker and Cross stood around the group, the sniper's gaze fixed on the darken horizon beyond.
Panicked breath sounded out and flown into the barren night, as much as you didn't want to scare Omega more you really could help it. You were scared yourself.
"Do you see that over there." Tech took your free arm in his hand and pointed up to the looming sky with it. "That really bright star?"
You were pulled back from your thoughts with the slightest nudge from Crosshair who spared you a glance, nobody else seemed to notice his movements
"I want to go to all of those planets one day." The words were light from Omega, a smile still evident in her voice.
"You'll definitely need to learn to fly then." You added shooting a look at Tech who finally spared a glance at someone else and was immersed in taking pictures of the different planets and constellations.
"If you can find another ship." Tech said mater-o-factly with a finger in the air.
"Aweeee Tech." Omega did the only thing she could think of, huge tooka eyes found Tech and with the pout of her bottom lip you could almost see the moment Tech cracked.
"More contemplation will be needed for that"
Though Omega wasn't disappointed for long as Crosshair whispered to her. "That's practically a yes."
Hunter laughed now shoving Crosshair back into a lying down position. He noted that his brother looked quite different without his armor, but it was a sight he could get used to.
Opening his mouth Tech was about to defend himself before a snore racked through the air.Ā
"Put someone else to sleep too Techy." Crosshair jabbed a finger at wrecker who still seemed to gripped the ship tightly.
You couldn't blame him though, and is wasn't just because of Tech talking, but you did insist the stars and planets were best to see in the late night. A yawn stifled through you, Echo wasn't the warmest person but the arms that wrapped around you from the clone seemed to do it.
"It's not even that late." Omega protested but her heavy eyelids seemed to contradict her own words.
"No no, we all can't fall asleep up here or it's going to be a pain getting down." Omega curled up into Hunters chest as he spoke. He slowly started to get up.
"One of us should get Wreck." Your own eyelids battled against you as you fought to sit up.
"On it." Crosshair was the last person who you thought would offer but as his leg extended you watched Wrecker rolled over the side.
His startled yell was masked by the thud of him hitting the soft grass below.Ā
"See it wasn't even that far." The skipper shrugged pushing himself over the edge and landing gracefully with even using the side to get down.
You chuckled as you rolled your eyes at the brothers were up to their old antics.
The chill air was a good contrast to the heated days that came before, so much fighting it seemed that it would never end.
Moments like these would always be cherished, and surprisingly Tech wasn't the one to get pushed off the Marauder.

Misc. Clones x Twi'lek!Reader
Iāve had this idea in my head for a while, soā¦.enjoy?
Cw: Twiālek stereotyping, Speciesism, reader is a twiālek, gender neutral pronouns, reader is falsely accused in the last set
Minors DNI (even though theres no smut)
501st Legion:
āHey tail-head! Why not come here and give me a dance?āĀ
You paused in what you were doing, turning to stare at the one who said such a thing.Ā
He was wearing white armor, and clearly a shiny.Ā
Rex
Ex-fucking-cuse me?Ā
Rex is going to step between you and the shiny, helmet off and clearly pissed.
āCare to repeat that, trooper?ā
His glare is steady. Heās not going to raise his voice or shout but by GOD if looks could kill.Ā
The shiny is going to start tripping over his words to apologize but Rex isnāt having any of itĀ
āYou see that gunship over there? Youāre scrubbing the entirety of it with your toothbrush. Now get moving.ā
He isnāt having ANY of that shit in his legion.Ā
Speciesism? Not in his fucking house.Ā
After the shiny is hauling ass, heās going to check on you.Ā
āIām sorry, cyare. Iāll make sure that doesnāt happen again.āĀ
Rex isnāt a fool. Heās traveled all around the galaxy. He's worked with General Secura. Heās well aware of the stereotypes surrounding your people.Ā
He wonāt tell you, but whenever someone says any sort of twi-lek slur within earshot, heās making them run laps around the Resolute.Ā
Fives
Heās going to be speechless for a solid second.Ā
Someone??? Just said that??? To his meshāla?
Oh fuck no.
Fives is going to get in the shinyās face and just growl, āYou have some balls, rookie.āĀ
This is an ARC trooper who is not above breaking some rules.Ā
One of those rules is putting a shiny in their place
Fives is going to push them back hard enough to make them stumble, āSay it again and I'll throw you out of an airlock.ā
Once the shiny had gotten the message and rushed away, Fives will drape an arm around you
Heāll peck your cheek, āThey shouldnāt bother you again, meshāla.ā
Fives finds you to be incredible, but he knows that there will be individuals who have opinions on you just because of the stereotypes surrounding twi-leks.Ā
Heāll definitely get in the face of anyone who gives you a hard time.
After sometime, it becomes pretty well known that Fivesā S/O isnāt to be messed with.
Kix
The medic is less confrontational.
He also knows you can handle yourself, but heāll cast a glance your way to see if your alright
If you're ignoring the shiny and moving on, he will too.
But if you look uncomfortable/upset thatās when heāll say something
āJust ignore them,ā He tries his best with comfort, but he knows you shouldnāt HAVE to ignore such words.
If the shiny says something else to you, that's when heāll confront them.
āIf you donāt walk away, I just might forget to give you painkillers when you get shot in the next battle.ā
That tends to shut the shinies up. Afterall, pissing off the medic is a bad idea
Once you're alone, Kix will put a comforting hand on your shoulder.Ā
While he hates the twiālek stereotype, he knows he canāt really say anything to make it go away. This is most likely a constant background noise in your life, and that wonāt magically disappear in a day.
Though, he will go to Rex and tell him what happened. Kix canāt change the whole galaxy but he can at least make the 501st more welcoming
Jesse
He thinks it's a joke at first, maybe some playful ribbing.Ā
Afterall, he does the same with his own brothers.Ā
But one look at your face and heās snapped into gear.
āGood one, brother!ā The ARC trooper will put his arm over the shinyās shoulder, āI got aĀ better one.ā
Jesse will lean in close, āIf you say something like that again, Iāll personally make you swallow your own teeth, got it?ā
He says this with a smile.Ā
At first the shiny thinks HEāS joking, but then Jesseās grip gets tighter, and his smile is gone.
āI mean it.ā
Once the shiny is gone, heās going to kiss you.
Heās another one who will go to Rex. This isnāt something your lover wants you to deal with, especially from his own brothers.Ā
He expects better from them. Even if they're a shiny
If it happens again, that's when Jesse makes good on his threats.
Heās an ARC trooper. He didnāt get the rank by looking pretty.
He also gets a reputation of being protective, so the next batch of shinies that join the 501st already know to be respectful.
Clone Force 99
āHey, tail-head, why donāt you and I go somewhere and you can show me some of those twiālek dances up close?ā
You sighed, looking back to see a bounty hunter of some sort with a disgusting grin on their face.Ā
Omega was next to you, brow furrowed, āTail-head? Whyād they call you that?ā
Hunter
āOh shut it.ā is his first response.
If the bounty hunter opens their mouth again, Hunter's second response is to throw a punch.
This is the man that brought his fists to a food fight. His first reaction will be to silence the bounty hunter, his second is to shut their mouth in a physical way.Ā
Yea, heās not above assault.Ā
Once the stranger is on the ground, thatās when Hunter speaks again
āThink twice before you say something stupid next time.āĀ
Heās going to give you a concerned look and put a hand on your shoulder
āYou ok, Cyare?āĀ
Heās also aware of the stereotype surrounding twi-leks, and he wonāt let anyone give you a hard time.Ā
He kneels next to Omega and essentially teaches her what stereotypes are
He emphasizes that theyāre wrong, and she shouldnāt ever assume things based on stereotypes
Anyone who says ātail-headā in his vicinity theyāre losing teeth.
Heās aware violence isnāt going to change opinions, but he isnāt going to stand for anyone throwing slurs at you
Hunter cares for you so much, he just wants you to feel comfortable and safe.
Wrecker
He doesnāt think those vile words are being thrown at you at first. Heāll look to you for confirmation.
When it finally clicks, he stands between you and the stranger. He doesnāt even need to say anything, just glares down at them.
After the bounty hunter gets the hint, Wrecker will turn to you and Omega.
āYou canāt say that again, ok āmega? Thatās a bad insult to twiāleks.ā
He doesnāt freak out or draw attention to what Omega parrotted. Heās well aware sheās a kid and doesn't entirely know better.
Wrecker may be a bit dense at times, but heās not stupid.
He knows exactly what the stranger was getting at saying such things to you.
āGood thing theyāre gone, right meshāla?ā Heāll ask, holding your face.
He puts an arm around you and the three of you head back to the ship.
He likes to act as your protector. He knows you can handle yourself, but he just likes to feel like he's protecting you. Afterall youāre precious to him.
His heart breaks if you tell him this has happened before.
He is UNHAPPY that this is something you deal with.
He knows the twiālek stereotype exists, itās justā¦different when it's you.
Honesty, heāll take this to heart and step-in if he sees something like this happen to another twiālek.
Heās not going to be a bystander anymore. And Omega definitely learns from his example.
Tech
āWell, that is entirely unnecessary.āĀ
He wonāt pick a fight. He thinks itās best to ignore instigators.Ā
He also knows that arguing or snapping at the bounty hunter may make things worse
Heāll grab your hand and lead you and Omega away
If the stranger follows, heāll turn a corner, put you and omega behind him and set his blaster on stun
Once the bounty hunter turns the corner, Tech will shoot them.
āThere.ā He says, putting his blaster away, āShouldnāt bother us anymore.ā
Once you three are back at the ship, heāll kiss your forehead before speaking to Omega
āTail-head is a slur to twiālek individuals. Itās supposed to insult someone's lekku. You must never say it again.ā
Tech is very much aware of both the stereotypes and their origin.
If someone gives you a hard time or throws more insults at you, heās not going to stand for it.
He has very little patience for ignorance.
Echo
Barely stops himself from throwing hands instantly.
āYou want to say that again?ā Heās going to get in the bounty hunter's face very quickly, āSay it again. I dare you.ā
Echo is a damn ARC trooper. He can make the stranger eat their words.
But, heāll hold back, for your sake.Ā
If the bounty hunter doesnāt back down, he casts a glance at you.
Give the greenlight? It's a fight.
You want to move on and forget this happened? He backs down.
Heāll return to your side and just start grumbling, āIgnorant assholeā¦if they open their mouth again, I swearā¦ā
Ā He gets really upset about this. And he knows it wasnāt the first time nor will it be the last time this happens to you.Ā
When you're not within earshot, heāll explain to Omega why ātail-headā is not something to be repeated.Ā
Echo is patient with her. Sheās just a child.
But like Tech, he had no patience for ignorance from anyone else.
Will snap at anyone who says ātail-headā or other twiālek insults within earshot.
Crosshair
While everyone has some form of restraint, Crosshair does not.
Itās an immediate brawl.
His patience is a negative 2 when it comes to this type of stuff.
The bounty hunter hadnāt even blinked before Crosshair knocked them down.
Heās pretty silent, returning to your side and putting an arm around you.
Heāll look at Omega and just say a simple, āDonāt say that again.ā
Pretty blunt to be honest.
Crosshair is protective. More so than even Wrecker.
His mind is already running, analyzing your surroundings and seeing who else may make snide remarks.
Afterall, if one person was able to say something like that, how many more are there?
Heāll ask how often this happens.
Depending on your answer heās either slightly annoyed or pissed.
No one should be giving you a hard time simply because you're twiālek.
Once back at the ship, heās going to keep a hand or arm on you in any way possible.
He loves you, and he doesnāt want you to ever feel ashamed or bad for being twiālek.
212th Battalion:
āHey, I didnāt know the 212th got its own personal dancer,ā The shiny slid next to you, āWhat do you say? Wanna give the boys and I a moral booster?ā
You blinked, eyes wide. That was an entirely new oneā¦
Cody:
After Ryloth, he thought his men would behave better than that. So heās genuinely caught off guard.
āYou have 2 seconds to take back what you said, rookie.ā He snaps, glaring.
After a stumbling apology is given to you, Cody continues with his death stare, āI expect better from you. You will treat them and every other alien species with respect. Do I make myself clear?ā
Very much not happy about this.
If one shiny said something like that to you, who else stereotypes twiāleks?
Itās not just about you, Cody really expects much better from the 212th.
If one person acts like a moron, it reflects badly on the 212th, General Kenobi and the GAR.
They are soldiers of the Republic in a very diverse galaxy.Ā
However, heāll turn his attention back to you and grab your hand.
āIāll make sure that never happens again, I promise.āĀ
Heās incredibly sweet about it.
Boil:
Instant shame.
This is how he used to sound!?
āHey!ā Heāll snap at the shiny, āShow some damn respect.ā
In a way, heās trying to compensate for his ignorance earlier in the war.
Before Ryloth, he used to throw around ātail-headā all the time. Something he looks back at in shame.
It was Numa, and now you that made him realize how much of a bastard he used to be.
If the shiny persists, Boil will get up in his face, āBack off. Now.ā
If something like this happens again, Boil will go to Cody.
Like the commander, Boil also expects better from the 212th
But also, he wants you to feel comfortable among his brothers.
āIām sorry,ā He wonāt exactly look at you. He knows the shinyās behavior isnāt his fault, but he canāt help but feel shame and embarrassment anyway.
A bit later, heāll hold your hand and just admit, āI used to be like him. Ignorant and self-centeredā¦Iām sorry.ā
Boil loves you so dearly. He just wanted to be honest.
He respects however you react
Waxer
Another one who feels shame.
Yea he didnāt throw around ātail-headā or see twiāleks as lesser, but he stood by while others did.
After Ryloth and Numa, he doesnāt stand by anymore.
āOh shut up!ā Heāll snap, āGo throw yourself out of an airlock.ā
Waxer is a learner. Heās learned more about your people. Your history. Your culture.Ā
He's also learned the stereotypes. Where they've come from.
So, he knows what the shiny is getting at by speaking to you.
this guy painted Numa on his helmet. Heās definitely not going to let anyone disrespect you in any way shape or form because of your species.
He wonāt get physical, but he will threaten.Ā
Once the shiny is gone, heāll put a hand on your cheek, āIām sorry. Iāll knock some sense into him later, I promise.ā
Coruscant Guard
āHey!āĀ
Your Coruscant Guard lover was walking you home when someone grabbed your shoulder and turned you around.Ā
āGuard! Arrest this twiālek thief! I know they stole my credits straight out of my pocket!ā The pantoran woman yelled right in your face.
When you argued, she just yelled louder, āAll twiāleks are conniving thieves! Give me back my credits!ā
Of course you didnāt steal anything, but this pantoran seemed convinced that you did. All because you were twiālek.
Fox
The headache was immediate.
āMaāam, I assure you they haven't gone anywhere near you.ā
He wants to defend you more staunchly, but heās the commander of the CG.
Thereās only so much he can do without risking reprimand.
If the pantoran persists, heāll get rougher, but remain professional.
āMaāam if you donāt walk away, I will arrest you for wasting Coruscant Guard resources.ā
The best he can do, frankly.
This isnāt the first time heās seen an innocent twiālek be accused of a crime.
It happens more than heād wish to admit.
Honestly, he hates it, but there's protocol in place and he's obligated to follow.
But he knows you're innocent. You were beside him the entire time.
Plus, he loves you. Heās not going to search you.
If she keeps giving you a hard time, Fox will step forward, āLast chance, I will throw you in a cell for the night if you donāt keep walking.ā
Usually that works.
Heāll keep you close until you're safely home. He wonāt talk about it if you donāt.
Though, he does end up telling the guard to be more mindful of random accusations against twiāleks.
Thorn
āOh here we goā¦ā
Heāsā¦not taking this woman seriously at all.
āI have seen no such thing. Please make a report to the police.ā Heāll just deadpan before walking away.
Petty crime such as a pickpocket is 1-800-not-his-job.
Heāll drape an arm over your shoulder and pull you closer to him.
Like Fox, heās seen people blame twiāleks solely based on stereotypes
And his response is always the same, āEither show me solid evidence or take it to the police.ā
If you say this isnāt the first time, Thorn kinda squeezes your shoulder.
āDonāt worry, love.ā Heāll whisper, āthe boys and I wonāt let anyone accuse you of anything.ā
He makes good on the promise. If anyone tries to give you a hard time for being twiālek, there's usually a Coruscant Guard that steps in.
A partner to one of the Guard is well taken care of.
Hound:
Heās going to look at the woman, then look at you, then look at Grizzer.Ā
He whistles once, and Grizzer licks your hand.
Grizzer just likes you, this isnāt any sort of actual search.
āThey donāt have your credits. Move along or go to a police droid.āĀ
Since the massiff didnāt āfindā anything, the pantoran woman leaves you alone.
āHappen often?ā Hound is going to ask you quietly when the two of you start walking again.
When you nod, he doesnāt respond.Ā
Like the rest of the guard, he knows your people often get falsely accused of crimes.
Having a massiff with a good sense of smell makes it quick and easy to find out if they actually committed the alleged crime.
More often than not, the falsely accused is innocent.
But he knows he canāt be with you all the time. You have your own jobs to do.
One minor fear of his is you getting accused and then thrown into a cell.
All because you are twiālek
He knows his brothers wonāt do such a thing, but police droids arenāt so flexible or understanding.

(The Bad Batch) A Rainy Evening With Him
Author's Note: Happy Bad Batch eve! I hope you enjoy!
Warning: Storms, Established Relationship, Fluff
The air on Pabu was rather humid. Well, it always was. But you detected something else in the air late that afternoon in the middle of a project. You paused your task to look up at the sky, noting the gray clouds that were gradually rolling in. The wind picked up and tugged at a nearby banner so hard that you could hear the fabric whipping repeatedly.
The citizens of Pabu began to pack up and head indoors. Boats were making their way in for the evening. No one was panicked. There was no rush. Everyone was moving in an unhurried, orderly manner, but with purpose.
You looked around for a particular Bad Batcher in hopes of finding him before the rainstorm began...
Hunter:
It seemed as if Hunter had been looking for you too. You saw him standing at the base of a stairwell, tilting his head to search the crowd of people making their way to their homes. When he locked eyes with you, that familiar smile crossed his features. He took your hand, drawing you closer to him.
"Storm's coming," he said. "But you already knew that. it's nothing major, but it's not the kind of weather to be working in."
"Ah, so that's why everyone's making their exit," you said, glancing around. Hunter nodded and began leading you up the stairs, off toward where the Batch's quarters were.
Just as you made it to the patio, a few droplets fell on your skin. You and Hunter both walked under the cover of the patio, watching as more drops fell, speckling the stone floor outside. It was a quaint little patio with a cushioned swing. You gave Hunter's hand a tug and went over to sink into the cushion comfortably. He followed the unspoken request, pressing his leg against yours as you both sat side-by-side on the swing.
Hunter put an arm around you, and you leaned into the contact. His warm scent mingled with the salty sea air, like a sandalwood candle.
"I love this weather," you admitted. "Sunny days are great, but there's something about a little rainstorm once in a while."
He nodded in agreement. "The air smells good."
After that, neither of you felt the need to say anything more.
He planted a kiss on your head, and the two of you enjoyed the wind and the sound of the rain falling on the top of the patio, until it was time to go inside.
Wrecker:
You saw Wrecker on the docks, having just come in from fishing on a boat. He smiled when he saw you, strutting over to give you a big hug in greeting.
"They said there's a storm, so we are done for the day," he informed you, setting you down gently. His hand didn't release yours. "We should probably get back before the rain hits."
"Good idea," you replied with a nod. The two of you moved with the steady flow of the crowd as they headed back to their homes. There was no hurry, even as the wind continued to pick up and blow palm tree leaves around. By the time you reached the first stairwell, a few droplets of rain fell on your cheeks and hand.
"Oh, it's starting!" you remarked, showing him the drop on your hand. Wrecker grinned as a few fell on him also, and the two of you automatically began to move just a little faster. The crowds had cleared for the most part, so you could pick up your pace.
At one point, Wrecker just lifted you up and carried you up the final set of stairs, with the both of you laughing in glee as the rain started to pour. He barreled into the Bad Batch's living quarters, quickly plopped you down on the nearest cushion, and shut the door. Your body shook with laughter as you got to work on gathering some blankets and pillows. Wrecker helped you make a little spot for the two of you to curl up under some blankets and watch the rain.
Wrecker held you securely against his chest, his arm extended, so that you could rest your head on it beside him. The rain began its barrage on the roof and against the windows, but it began to fade into a dull sound in the distance as you focused on Wrecker's breathing and the low rumble of his voice as you both talked.
Tech:
You made your way to the one place you knew Tech would be. Normally, he'd be out working on projects somewhere across Pabu; but after the Bad Batch's latest mission, the current ship the squad occupied needed some fine-tuning.
Okay, perhaps a little more than fine-tuning.
The thud of your shoes on the ramp paused as you stopped to take in the state of the weather once more. Things had certainly moved along since you began your trek to the ship. Rain clouds cast the island in a gray darkness, though you could still see the sun peeking out in the distance.
One drop plummeting to the sand turned into two, and then that turned into many. Pretty soon, it became a downpour. You closed your eyes to enjoy one more gust of wind before climbing the rest of the way up the ramp. You walked down the hall of the dark ship rounded the corner to see the incredible mind himself seated in the cockpit.
He seemed to be running a diagnostic to finalize the repair process on his datapad. He heard your approach and looked up.
"Oh, hello." He greeted you in a light, airy tone as he adjusted his goggles. "I saw the storm, and I was just about to comm you."
You smiled affectionately at his concern. "Well, I'm here. How's it looking?" You leaned over to peek at his datapad over his shoulder, and he scrolled through the results of the scan for you to see.
"It took me all morning and this afternoon, but everything seems to be in order."
"That's great. I'm glad to hear that." You took a seat in the co-pilot's chair, watching the ripples of rainwater pounding against the shield of the ship. "It's so beautiful out."
Tech's gaze found yours again, waiting for you to elaborate.
"I just like rain every now and then. The air smells so fresh, and the wind feels kind of exhilarating."
"I can relate in finding beauty in it," he agreed. "Although, I am glad to have completed the repairs before the shift in weather. It would've been...inconvenient."
You nodded. "Certainly." While Tech went back to finalizing his work, you smiled at an idea that popped into your head. You rose from the chair and headed into the back to grab some blankets and pillows from the bunks. When you returned, Tech looked up curiously to see you arranging them just so on the floor beside some crates in the hall.
You extended your hand toward him, motioning for him to join you. "Now that you're done, come sit with me?"
Tech typed something out lightning fast on his datapad before shutting it off. To your delight, he sat down against the crates and opened his arm for you to scooch in up against his side.
"This is...nice," he said, gazing down at you with a soft smile on his You breathed in his scent, exhaling contentedly as you rested your head against his shoulder.
With the rain pounding against the hull of the ship, you two spent the rest of the stormy evening just talking and exchanging a kiss or two.
Echo:
You were already inside the Bad Batch's quarters, shaking the rain from you, when the front door opened. Echo entered, glancing around as if he were looking for you. When he saw you, his whole expression lightened.
"I had a feeling you'd be here," he said. "That storm rolled in pretty fast."
"Yeah, it sure did," you replied, taking his hand in yours and giving him a soft kiss on the lips in greeting. "Isn't it nice, though? We get to relax for the rest of the evening."
He seemed entranced by the kiss and nodded. "Uh-huh, very nice."
"Want to get cozy on the couch?"
Echo nodded at the proposition, and you snatched up a throw blanket from the back of the couch and draped it over the both of you as you curled up on the couch together.
You laid your head on Echo's chest, listening to his heartbeat thrum within it. His hand rested on your back, occasionally patting it gently. Your gazes were fixed on the nearest glass window where you saw the wind carrying all sorts of tropical leaves in a flurry. The rain continued to escalate, and you sighed deeply in contentment.
Neither you nor Echo felt the need to speak for a while. You simply enjoyed the sounds of the storm outside and the close contact. At some point, the rise and fall of Echo's chest became slower, deeper. You realized that he had fallen asleep, and you smiled to yourself. Planting a kiss on his chin before settling back in, you let your own breathing slow. It wasn't long before your eyes grew so heavy that they fell shut, and you fell asleep.
Crosshair:
As soon as you'd heard that everyone was heading home for the evening, you started looking for one person in particular. Crosshair found you first, approaching you after you'd hardly begun your own search.
"It's nothing serious," he told you when you took his hand. "But it's nearly the end of the day anyway, so people are going home."
"Works for me," you replied, giving his hand a squeeze. He began to lead the way through the throngs of people making their way toward the steps. You relished the way his hand felt in yours, and the way the wind blew so fiercely against your skin, and the way it felt like you were breathing in the freshest air with each gust.
You and Crosshair made it to the Bad Batch's quarters and went inside just as the rain began to fall. You couldn't help but remain at the doorway with your hand resting on the glass, watching the gray clouds rolling over the island and he way the trees danced in the wind.
Crosshair had initially walked halfway across the room, but when he paused and noticed where you stood, he backtracked and returned to your side. He propped the door open and slid down to sit right in the doorway, looking up at you in an unspoken offer.
You smiled and scooched in next to him, breathing a sigh as you rested your head against his shoulder and felt another gust of wind blow over you. It made you shiver, and yet you felt so cozy.
"Thank you," you whispered, and you felt Crosshair's chin rest on your head in response. His arm wrapped around you gently and took hold of your hand.
A comfortable silence fell over you both as you watched the storm. You would exchange the occasional kiss, and you both stayed like that for some time, enjoying each other's company and also the weather...
