Ok real quick bc I wanna prove my mother wrong

Because my mom literally brews one pot of coffee at the top of the week (in a normal coffee maker), drinks from the same brewed pot throughout the week (from the pot. No bottling it. No refrigeration. Does not reheat it. Just room temperature coffee that has sat in the pot for up to a week). Makes a new one when she runs out.

#more crucial context: the pot is directly next to the sink right under where we keep paper towels too so. that dishwater. she be getting in #there’s also a mug she keeps next to it. and to my knowledge. she never washes it.#(evidenced by it’s always Thee Favored mug at the moment. and I have never seen it in the dish drain when I get home ever #and yes. she DOES take her coffee with milk and sugar #I think the mug situation might make this even more nasty than just the stale pot of room temp coffee does #but still. I wanna know if I’m right about this #egg’s polls #this is not her worst food sin btw. just the most consisten out of many #you should have seen the burgers I could’ve eaten tonight. she basically just upended 3 wads (not balls. wads) of ground beef in a used pan #and was gonna call it a day at that

I'm curious, and have heard things about the younger generations, Gen Zs and especially Gen Alphas, not receiving as much education or lessons on how to use computers (as in desktop/PCs or laptops) beyond the basics, or internet safety and etiquette. No idea if this is true or not. So poll time!!

In this, I'm asking about if you received, or are receiving, actual, official lessons/classes on both internet safety/etiquette and how to use computers beyond the bare basics. For example, in school my class had dedicated lessons for both of these, that included signing up to educational sites that mimicked social media so we could learn how to navigate them in a monitored environment.

And to avoid any confusion, the generation categories are:

Gen X: 1965-1980

Millennials: 1981-1996

Gen Z: 1997-2012

Gen Alpha: 2010s-2025

Knitting a freehand bag and started wondering how often people even use patterns, anyway. So--how often do you use a pattern when you make things ? This include knitting/crochet/sewing/weaving/nalbinding/bobbin lace/tatting/etc but also things like woodworking, cooking, and baking. If you want to just pick the thing you do most often that's fine.

I personally do not use patterns as I find them far more confusing than just figuring out the construction of an item and simply making it. I do very occasionally browse ravelry for inspiration but have downloaded maybe 2. In the 5 or so years since I joined. And have followed exactly 1, which I modified every single aspect of. In my defense, dyslexia.
