okay sorry I'm back again with my bullshit again with these two because I just noticed (from another watching session, again) this tiny little detail at the beginning where Hyunsoo first noticed Jaehyuk at the airport

Hyunsoo actually was checking his phone THE WHOLE. FUCKING TIME. HE'S WALKING ACROSS JAEHYUK.

He had his head down probably checking the weather, his schedule and other things on his phone !!!

He shouldn't be able to notice he's passing Jaehyuk with his daughter then, right??? Look at it. He kept looking down at his phone as Jaehyuk walked straight ahead, even as they're about to pass each other-

EVEN WHEN THEY'RE FINALLY PARALLELED..... side by side as they headed to different directions, Hyunsoo would NOT be able to KNOW it's Jaehyuk... the man should've only been a blur on the corner of his eye.......... and yet...................

Either way! There's no way in Hell Jaehyuk wasn't someone who's always been part of Hyunsoo's intense routine, someone SO important to Hyunsoo before he lost his wife, if he could recognize Jaehyuk by the blurry side profile alone in the crowd on his way to the one job that connected him to Jaehyuk, his dead wife, and everything in between

🇺🇲 Saltwater intrusion from the Gulf of Mexico into the Mississippi river Delta threatens drinking water in the New Orleans, Louisiana area.

Louisiana Gov. John Bell Edwards said today the State is days away from requesting a Federal Emergency Declaration from the Biden Administration.

"I can tell you in the next couple of days, we will be requesting a Federal Emergency Declaration related to the seawater intrusion of the Mississippi River that threatens drinking water," Governor John Bell Edwards said in an update.

"But also, authorizing us to take emergency protective measures with some level of reimbursement available from the Federal Government should that Federal Emergency Declaration be granted."

Governor John Bell Edwards has already declared a State of Emergency earlier this month, and the State of Louisiana has received some Federal assistance.

"Unfortunately, we just haven't had the relief from dry conditions... so that intrusion is worsening, in the sense that it's moving further up the river," Edwards said.

"Most of the state has been experiencing prolonged drought and and above-average heat, and has presented a number of challenges including wildfires, drought, heat-related deaths, injuries and so forth and now saltwater intrusion."

Extreme, prolonged drought in the Southern Mississippi RIver Valley has led to historically low water levels in the Mississippi River, allowing saltwater from the Gulf of Mexico to creep its way upriver.

Edwards added that the State was being "proactive", including expanding an underwater levee recently built to slow the flow of saltwater upriver that was topped by the saltwater flow last week, and bringing in over 15 million gallons of fresh drinking water for effected residents.

Federal officials also said they would be barging water into the Mississippi to help slow the upriver flow of saltwater.

Despite Mississippi river water levels already sitting at historic lows, water levels are expected to continue to drop as forecasts show little rainfall is expected in the coming days.

Saturday movie night. 🙂 I just got the chance to watch this movie now, well my reaction to this movie is that I was really thrilled, annoyed and a lot of emotions to express.

All I can say is that it was a really great movie and the actors played their roles well, especially Lee Byung Hun, Kim Nam Gil and Song Kang Ho.

Looking forward to watching more of their movies/dramas in the future. 🙂💜

Emergency Declaration

A flight from Korea to Hawaii turns deadly when a man commits an act of bioterrorism by releasing a virus that kills quickly.

I had this movie on my watchlist on @viki for a long time before I decided to finally watch it. Honestly, I just wanted to watch it because of Si Wan since I loved him in Run On. So last night I had a couple hours to myself and I decided to watch it. Boy, am I glad I did.

Emergency Declaration isn't really the kind of movie I tend to watch. I am not a huge fan of disaster movies, it's more of my mom's kind of movie, but this movie kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

It was really interesting to see Si Wan in a darker role and play it perfectly. While he isn't in the movie for a long time, he makes a pretty big impact.

The action in Emergency Declaration is also really good. Whether it's when the plane is in a nose dive, a car accident, or when they run into issues toward the end, you feel like you are right there with them.

The movie is on the long side, about two and a half hours, but you don't notice it. It captivates you from the very beginning and doesn't slow down. If you love an action movie then I highly recommend Emergency Declaration.

Movie Review: Emergency Declaration

Buat film 2 jam lebih bisa dibilang lumayan worth it buat ditonton, bikin penasaran udah pasti, tapi yang bikin film ini impressive itu bukan karena plotnya tapi karena audience jadi kebawa emosi/kesel sama konflik di film ini. Tipikal film yang protagonistnya fight for their life vs official government yang sangat amat bikin geregetan. Ketegangan waktu pesawat di-hijack juga lumayan bikin merinding, bahkan dari awal udah kerasa banget tegangnya. Plot juga ga bikin memutar otak dan gampang dinikmati. 8.5/10!!

Spoiler alert:

I still can't accept that the villain was just dead like that. I wish the movie put more focus on him rather than the passenger in the end.
