On further inspection, the funniest thing about the nameless girl, sacchi or aida girl, and atsushi is the implication that Todomatsu is the one who introduced them all together
Bc in the mixer episode, totty BEGGED his way to get invited by orange girl, who is his casual acquaintance. He knows sacchi/aida from work, and Atsushi from hs
So literally he HAND PICKED the mixers attendants and still got ignored. How pathetic is that. He went "who are the girls i have the most chance with based off looks and personality?" And curated his two person hitlist, and atsushi bc he didnt wanna invite his brothers
I was mistaken, Todomatsu wasn't invited to half of these scenarios. One of them is a hell of his own design.
The second one is even funnier bc atsushi set him up with the same girls, one of which he presumably is fucking on the side. Both if which have seen todomatsus balls. Both know hes awkward and has a creepy, yet significantly more fun and charismatic, charming, older brother who they STILL dont want
And Atsushi gets up and starts hand waving him over, with the two girls who have SEEN his balls!!! And DONT want him because he will, apparently not only choke on cheap, sweet alcohol, but also eat a spicy dish, cry about it, and then start shoving things up his ass and on his cheek meat. unprompted.
Atsushi is incredibly cruel for this after witnessing tottys two girliepops NOT want him, and knowing these other girls have seen him at his absolite worse
I wouldnt want todomatsu either if i went on a date with him, saw his bleached and waxed booty hole, and then after all that he just sat down quietly and let his funnier brother call me ugly as a joke, and then literally quietly left.
There's something so funny about Atsushi inviting Todomatsu to mixers with girls knowing he's unwanted and will be publicly humiliated... Its so funny and cruel. Like leave, Totty. Don't pick up the phone. They don't want you there baby girl! 😭

#And its his fault too but atsushi stop it#i like to think atsushi sabotages Todomatsu bc he wants him for himself#i like to think when atsushis dating someone he spends a significant amount of his time talking about and gossiping about Todomatsu#which is why he started dating one of tottys close friends so it'd be normal to discuss totty so often bc she'd have a vested interest#bc thats her bestie! hes her and the other ones little shivering cute chihuahua even tho they also saw his balls#and saw him wearing a peepee underwear on his head. like totty is so cute wnd forgivable so hes her babygirl#however. Atsushi is on step 46 on his 136 step.plan to integrate Todomatsu into his relationship using the D.E.N.N.IS method#excuse me its a system not a method#but u understand#it wont work however bc todomstsu is faithful to our soul connection which is why hes always telling me to buy more merch

WHY ARE YOU CONSULTING A SOCIAL SCIENTIST ON WHETHER ASTROLOGY COUNTS AS A SCIENCE. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE EVER CONSULT ACTUAL ASTRONOMERS. BECAUSE THEY KNOW THE ANSWER THEY'LL GET THAT'S WHY!!!
#DOES PRECESSION OF THE EQUINOXES MEAN NOTHING TO YOU PEOPLE#THE SUN ISNT EVEN IN YOUR ''SUN SIGN'' IT MEANS NOTHING !!! ITS MEANINGLESS !!!#brot posts#astro posting#'i dont know if i feel comfortable calling astrology a science' BECAUSE IT ISNT#FLAT OUT. ITS NOT.#even ignoring the fact its blatantly falsified#just . the definition of science relying on observations.#hold on let me ltierally get my fucking science research methods textbook#SCIENCE MUST BE. 1. empirical 2. systematic 3. replicable 4. self-correcting#ASTROLOGY. IS NONE OF THOSE THINGS#1. its based entirely on anecdotes 2. again its based entirely on anecdotes theres no institution no system no research#3. BECAUSE its not systematic it sure as fuck cannot be replicable#and in fact it frequently ISNT. the accuracy of astrological predictions varies so wildly from person to person#4. self correcting? well there's no institution and no repeatability and so theres no future research to constantly fact check#prior assumptions and prior research#and also even on individual cases astrologers just double down and find a loophole to work around anything that falsifies their claims#which is literally the number one sign that something is pseudoscience and not science#if you cannot feasibly falsify something without there being ten million loopholes then its just an excuse machine its not real science.#so no. just from the sheer basic definition of science and scientific research. astrology is not science.#nevermind the fact its just. its just not fucking true. nothing it predicts is true#now the OBSERVATIONS behind astrology ie the actual observing of the night sky is a different conversation#but the ASTROLOGY of it - the predictions about human beings - is pseudoscience

I've always had chronic fatigue. I remember being twelve, and an adult mentioned how I couldn't possibly know how tired they felt because adulthood brought levels of exhaustion I couldn't imagine. I thought about that for days in fear, because I couldn't remember the last time I didn't feel tired.
Eventually I came to terms with the fact that I was just tired, and I couldn't do as many things as everyone else. People called me lazy, and I knew that wasn't true, but there's only so many times you can say "I'm tired" before people think it's an excuse. I don't blame them. When a teenager does 20 hours of extracurriculars every week and only says "I'm too tired" when you ask them to do the dishes, it's natural to think it's an excuse. At some point, I started to think the same thing.
It didn't matter that I could barely sit up. It was probably all in my head, and if I really wanted to, I could do it.
When I learned the name for it, chronic fatigue, I thought wow, people that have that must be miserable, because I am always tired and I cannot imagine what it would feel like if it were worse.
Spoiler alert, if you've been tired for a decade, it's probably chronic fatigue.
Once I figured that out though, I thought of my energy as the same as everyone else's, just smaller in quantity. And that might be true for some people, but I've figured out recently that it absolutely isn't true for me.
I used to be like wow I have so much energy today I can do this whole list for sure! And then I'd do the dishes and have to lay down for 2 hours. Then I'd think I must gave misjudged that, I didn't have as much energy as I thought.
But the thing is - I did have enough energy for more tasks, I just didn't go about them properly.
With chronic fatigue, your maximum energy is obviously much smaller than the average person's. Doing the dishes for you might use up the same percentage of energy that it takes to do all the daily chores for someone else.
If someone without chronic fatigue was to do all the daily chores, they would take breaks. Because otherwise, they're sprinting a marathon for no reason and it would take way more energy than necessary. We have to do the same.
Put the cups in the dishwasher, take a break. Put the bowls in, take a break. So on and so forth. This may mean taking breaks every 2-5 minutes but afterwards, you get to not feel like you've run a marathon while carrying 4 people on your back.
Today, I had a moderate amount of energy. Under my old system of go till you drop, I probably could have done most of the dishes and wiped off the counter and then been dead to the world for the rest of the day.
Under the new system, I scooped litter boxes, cleaned out the fridge, took the trash out, cleaned the stove, and wiped off the counter and did all the dishes. And after all that, I still had it in me to make a simple dinner, unload the dishwasher, and tidy the kitchen.
It was complete and utter insanity. Just because I sat down whenever I felt myself getting more tired than I already was.
All this to say, take fucking breaks. It's time to unlearn the ceaseless productivity bullshit that capitalism has shoved down our throats. Its actively counterproductive. Just sit down. Drink some water. Rest your body when it needs to rest.
There will still be days where there is nothing to do but rest, and days where half a load of dishes is absolutely the most I can do. But this method has really helped me minimize those, which is so incredibly relieving.

Shaking and crying as I finally start working on some more long term oxygen production systems as if it's much more complicated than building a room with like 5 buildings inside all of which you can unlock without even building an advanced science station
#rat rambles#oni posting#ok well tbf technically you have tempurature to worry abt but as Ive said a million times already Im on rime so I dont have much excuse#by all means I should have set this up the second I had renewable water set up but I simply didn't want to#but now Im planning on saving my remaining algae for space exploration and already have a shit ton of hydrogen around my two bases#plus I need steam for a steam engine anyways so Im trying to make a spom thats built on top of a boiler room where mixed with#steam turbines Ill have steam to supply to my steam engine and water to supply to electrolisers#now ofc this will mean that Ill have to implement additional automation to only put in enough water to resupply whats being used so I don't#end up putting too much pressure in there for my systems to work properly#it should be fairly simple stuff tho as long as I dont make wildy inaccurate estimations#geneally the goal is to keep the room full of steam for power most of the time at high enough pressure that any steam taken out of the#system can be replaced quickly enough that the system doesn't have to partially shut down#for the heat generation needed to keep the room nice and hot Im considering linking my cooling system from my main base#basically switching my thermo aquatuners to the second base and using one cooling loop for both bases#which would be a pain in the ass to set up but might be worth it in the long run since the second base has been slowly warming#which wouldnt be a huge problem if it werent for my deep freezing area also slowly warming up#I should have placed insulated tiles around my kitchen back when I first built it but I was lazy so I sorta just forgot abt it#and its still cold in there dont get me wrong just not cold enough to deep freeze my food#which like. I produce enough food on that colony to be able to affort spoilage in a calorie sense but Id rly rather not deal with rot#like I Could send it back over to my main colony to feed to pokeshells but to make that an effective disposal method Id need to massively#up the amount of pokeshells I have and to do that effectively Id need to set up more automation to deal with the eggs#which like I Should probably do it I want to continue ranching pokeshells but idk if I do want to#I mostly just made a tiny ranch just for the sake of achievement progress#but like I would honestly like the security of having a source of renewable sand even if its not going to be a problem for a long Long time#especially given I get regolith meterors and dont actually consume that much sand currently#in theory I could start working on filtering out the remaining polluted oxygen floating around both bases but also I dont partially care#yes the oxygen consumption increases arent great but again I am not currently very worried abt oxygen#even if I changed absolutely nothing abt my oxygen production itd still take a very long time for things to get to dangerous levels#but that doesn't mean I shouldn't be setting up long term solutions it just means I didnt have to rush#I still dont but its beneficial enough to switch fully to electrolisers rn that Im finally going for it

AAAA HIIII‼️‼️ LOWKEY UR ONE OF THE BLOGS IVE BEEN OBSESSED WITH BUT FARRRRR TOO SCARED TO INTERACT WITH BC IM LIKE THAT, BUT IM TWEAKING OVER D16 RNNNN 😭😭
If its not too much to ask but could i req for some basic D16 hcs or a drabble with a child reader or possibly his child? (IDK HOW AGE AND CHILDREN WORK IN CYBERTRON LMAOO) I really dont mind what you make IM OBSESSED WITH UR WRITINGGG!!
Please take care of urself and eat drink and sleep!! Love the work, keep it up!!!

Pairing: D-16 & gn!sparkling!Reader Rating: SFW Summary: headcanons of D-16 taking care of his sparkling :3 Warnings/Tags: Canon divergence, pre-canon, cybertronian reader, fluff, family shenanigans, Orion Pax can be viewed as a second father figure/uncle, angst, and typical family dynamics A/N: ahh!! ty! don't be afraid to interact with me :) and writing this was so fun! I had some help from @skelswritingcorner headcanon about sparklings. Word Count: 1300+ words
How you two met
🟡 It was really funny.
🟡 Ok, no it wasn't. D-16 could've imagined anything else happening during the cycle, anything but something falling on top of his head while he was taking a stroll around Iacon.
🟡 It was a weird…mini-bot thingy that looked unordinary. If D-16 had to describe you in a few words, it would be tiny, small, and helpless.
But…the way your optics online as you took in your surroundings and your big, wide optics stared into his own awoke some protective instinct within him. So, he carefully tucked you in his arms and hurried back to the mines.
Early dynamics
🟡 D-16 treated you like you were made out of glass, it didn't help that the dust and other particles around the mines made your systems irritated to the point of crying.
🟡 Oh Primus, the first time you wailed loudly, every bot starred in his direction as the noises shrieking from his chassis area increased. D-16 had to quickly excuse himself to the showers and hide in there with you to shush you.
🟡 Overtime, D-16 learned how to tend to your needs and taking care of you became easier with each passing deca-cycle.
Current Dynamics
🟡 Who knew a little bot like you who ate little, chirp, scream a bit, slept a lot, and couldn't walk would be easy to take care of.
🟡 Oh man, once you've grown enough to stand on your own two pedes, things get harder for D-16 as he now has to keep a closer optic on you at all times.
🟡 You had a knack for getting into places you shouldn't be in and D-16's spark nearly stopped when he caught you trying to sneak inside of a mining shaft. You were scolded, of course, but that didn't stop you from trying again.
🟡 As tiring as it is to watch over you, D-16 felt it was worth it if it meant seeing your bright smile each time.
Uncle Pax
🟡 Ok, so. Remember the incident when D-16 first brought you in? Well, Orion wasn't too far on D-16's tailpipe. When he saw what his best friend brought into the showers, he was…excited?
🟡 "Why are you smiling so-"
🟡 "Do you realize what you have in your servos right now?! That's a sparkling!"
🟡 "????"
🟡 "Dude, I read about them and they-"
🟡 Orion goes into detail about the records he's skimmed about tiny cybertronians who were referred to as sparklings.
🟡 The old records hypothesize that they were an alternative way to produce bots in large quantities, there were downsides to this method since the bots that came out were…not up to par with being on their own unless someone cared for them.
🟡 There's a theory that the method was abandoned due to how much time it takes for these sparklings to grow and be a part of society. No one has seen a sparkling since, and those that already grew up from being sparklings are a scarce number.
🟡 To say Orion was siked that D-16 practically held a living relic in his servos was an understatement, he even proposed to take over caring for the sparkling as their 'sire.' A term, D-16 later learned was the role given to bots who created a close, familial bond with these sparklings.
🟡 D-16, for some reason, decided to decline Orion's offer but allowed him to help whenever he could
🟡 And help Orion did. Much to D-16's displeasure of his friend encouraging his sparkling to get into trouble.
🟡 Heading off into the archives together became a pastime for you two.
🟡 Even if your sire got mad when your uncle almost got caught by the high guards, it was fun clinging to his back as he jumped through hoops to get away from them.
🟡 Keeping you hidden from others was important, but your uncle adding a bit of fun in your life made it bearable when you were kept away from the light of day.
Affection?
🟡 D-16 and you will sometimes butt helms as a form of affection, especially after a petty spat.
🟡 Hugs are on the table and D-16 loves embarrassing you with a bear hug, might even make kissy faces until you squeal and pull yourself out of his arms
🟡 All and all, D-16 has physical touch as a love language (helm pats, arm rubs, scooping you up and throwing you in the air, etc).
Arguments?
🟡 Speaking of keeping you hidden, you couldn't understand why your sire didn't want others to see you
🟡 You did nothing wrong, but your sire was having none of it.
🟡 "Do you want to be taken away from me and Pax?"
🟡 Same old excuse did nothing to stop you from sneaking out at night and exploring the streets of Iacon
🟡 Trying to sneak back in was the harder part, because D-16 would already notice your absence and panic. You always have an earful waiting for you when you get back home.
🟡🟡🟡 Drabble 1: Bundle of Joy 🟡🟡🟡
"Alright! Time to switch with the night crew, make way everybody!" The command from the captain of the mining crew felt like a blessing. Orion wiped the coolant from his forehelm and glanced around the area, making sure that no one was watching–he made his way towards the exit while every bot spoke among each other.
Up ahead, a familiar jaundice-eyed mech approaching with something behind his back.
As the two near each other, a single nod was exchanged before the bundle in D-16's servo was passed off to Orion.
Orion continued walking out of the mines until he reached a safe distance to unwrap the bundle and cooed as your bright (o/c)'s came into view. He wiggled a digit in your face and couldn't stop the smile growing on his dermas as you grasped his digit and giggled.
"Come on, we have a berth time story with our designations on it."
Orion carefully tucked you in his arm and walked toward the shared quarters.
🟡🟡🟡Drabble 2: Goodbye, for now. 🟡🟡🟡
"Oh? What's this…or rather, who?"
You shrieked as you were plucked from behind your sire's knelt form.
"No-! Let them go!" D-16 was quick to lunge for Sentinel and was knocked back by the guards and their weapons.
"Ah ha! So this was the little relic I've been hearing so much about?" Sentinel held you up by the back of your neck cables and rotated you like some sort of spectacle."I remember when you guys existed, a shame I'll have no use for you, but my wall is missing a new mount…"
"You monster!" B-127 shouted as he attempted to stand but was also shoved to the ground by a weapon.
Sentinel was about to say some witty remark when a large shadow pounced on him. Chaos erupted as D-16 tackled the false Prime and began raining his fists on Sentinel. The guards all came to Sentinel's aid, which gave Bee enough time to break free, slice down a guard that tried taking you and scooped you up from the ground.
"Hey little dude, everything's ok, ok-?" Bee bounced you in his arms as the tears on your face continued forming at the edge of your optics. Where was your sire?
A loud crash caught your and Bee's attention as the two whipped helms as a large hole appeared in the wall of Sentinel's office. Your sire and Sentinel were nowhere to be found.
"Ok…let's go help Dee!" Bee glanced around the damaged space before running out.
Everything happened way too fast for your little processor to make anything make sense. In one second, your sire's friend—and practically your secondary sire—was falling in a hole, then your sire…did something bad but B-127 covered your optics before you could see what happened, and then you were carried toward the dome's roof staring at the unfamiliar mech before you.
"Go…Take the high guard and leave, you are banished from Iacon." Optimus Prime paused, his optics flickering toward the trio slowly approaching. Elita-1, B-127, and…you.
"It didn't have to end this way," Optimus returned his gaze to his former friend.
"...this isn't over, Prime." Megatron seethed.
The two momentarily paused as your small voice called out to your sire. Megatron's optics dimmed as he lowered his helm, a tense silence followed before Megatron finally raised his helm and spoke, "Keep the liability with you, I don't have room for any weaknesses. Not anymore."
"..." Optimus Prime refused to speak, fearing that his voice would've matched the growing pain in his spark.
Megatron huffed before limping away and commanding the high guard to follow him.
B-127 grunted as you wiggled and trashed in his hold, trying to get to your sire and-
Your teary gaze watched in shock as your sire, your only family, your world up and left you behind. Your fans kicked in as you lost the ability to breathe, your vision grew blurry as the wails in your intake were stomped by the lump causing a croaked sob to leave you.
You buried your faceplate in the B-127's chassis.
B-127 and Elita-1 shared a glance, one twisted with pain for the crying sparkling and the other hesitation. B-127 turned to look at the new Prime and found he had already made his way over and reached for you.
B-127 handed you off to the larger mech and Optimus rubbed your back, shushing and whispering comforting words in your audial.
"We…have a lot of work to do, for now, we all deserve a rest." Optimus murmured to the other two. Elita-1 already understood Optimus's hidden intention and took charge as she directed her attention to the awaiting crowd of bots.
B-127 glanced between Elita-1 and Optimus before joining Elita. Optimus turned his attention to you.
"Do not worry, little one, I'm here." Optimus reassured. "I will not leave you, not now, not ever."
"...promise?"
Optimus smiled for the first time since he came back from being offline.
"I promise."

𝐀 𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑
𖤐 synopsis: it’s tomura’s birthday! so what better way than to celebrate it with him?
𖤐 trigger warnings: fluff!
𖤐 pairing: shigaraki tomura x gender neutral! reader
The soft glow of your phone illuminated your face as you checked the time once more: 11:47 PM, April 3rd. In just thirteen minutes, it would officially be Shigaraki Tomura's birthday. You smiled to yourself, knowing he probably didn't expect anyone to remember—least of all you, considering how your relationship had begun.
Your mind drifted back to your first encounter with the League of Villains' leader. It wasn't exactly a meet-cute; more like a collision of worlds that neither of you had anticipated. Yet somehow, against all odds, a connection had formed between you—tentative at first, then undeniable as time went on.
Shigaraki was asleep in the next room. You had convinced him to let you stay over tonight with some flimsy excuse about apartment renovations, hiding your true intentions. The cake was hidden in the back of his refrigerator, a small vanilla affair with minimal decoration—anything too elaborate would have aroused his suspicion. The gift, wrapped in simple black paper, was tucked away in your overnight bag.
The minutes ticked by. 11:55 PM.
You slipped out of the guest room and padded quietly to the kitchen. The hideout was silent except for the occasional creak of the old building settling. You removed the cake from its hiding spot and placed a single candle in the center. No need for twenty-something candles; Shigaraki wouldn't appreciate the fire hazard anyway.
11:59 PM.
Heart pounding, you lit the candle and carefully made your way to his bedroom door. You balanced the cake in one hand and knocked softly with the other.
"What?" His voice came through the door, alert despite the hour. Of course he wasn't asleep. When did Shigaraki ever sleep properly?
"Can I come in?" you called softly.
A pause, then: "Fine."
You pushed open the door with your foot to find him sitting up in bed, the harsh light of a gaming console illuminating his face. His pale blue hair was messier than usual, falling haphazardly around his face. His red eyes widened slightly at the sight of you holding the cake.
"Happy birthday," you said, smiling as the digital clock on his nightstand clicked over to 12:00 AM.
He stared at you, then at the cake, his expression unreadable. "How did you know?"
You entered the room fully, setting the cake down on his desk. "I have my sources," you replied with a mysterious smile. In truth, you had overheard Kurogiri mentioning it to Dabi weeks ago and had been planning this moment ever since.
"You didn't have to do this," he muttered, but you noticed he didn't take his eyes off the cake.
"I wanted to." You sat on the edge of his bed. "Make a wish?"
Shigaraki scoffed, but he set aside his console and moved to the desk. "Wishes are for children."
"Humor me?"
He gave you a look that might have been intimidating to anyone else, but you'd grown accustomed to his attempts to appear disinterested. With an exaggerated sigh, he leaned forward and blew out the candle in one quick breath.
"What did you wish for?" you asked.
"If I tell you, it won't come true," he replied sarcastically, but there was a hint of amusement in his voice. "Isn't that how the superstition goes?"
You laughed and retrieved your gift from your bag. "Here. It's not much, but..."
Shigaraki took the package with surprising gentleness. His fingers worked carefully at the wrapping paper, methodically removing it without tearing it—so different from his usual destructive tendencies. Inside was a custom controller for his favorite gaming system, matte black with hand-painted details that matched his aesthetic.
"I noticed your current one was getting worn out," you explained when he didn't immediately respond. "And I added some modifications that should improve the response time for those games you like."
He turned the controller over in his hands, examining it from every angle. "You made this?"
You nodded, suddenly feeling nervous. "Do you like it?"
Instead of answering, he set the controller down carefully and looked at you with an intensity that made your breath catch. "Why do you do this?"
"Do what?"
"Care." The word seemed to cost him something to say. "About me. About my birthday. About any of this."
You moved closer to him, brave in the quiet darkness of the early morning. "Because you matter to me, Tomura. Because everyone deserves to be remembered on their birthday."
"Even villains?" There was a challenge in his voice, but also vulnerability that he rarely allowed anyone to hear.
"Especially you." You reached for his hand, interlacing your fingers with his. "The world might see Shigaraki Tomura, leader of the League of Villains. But I see you."
Something shifted in his expression then, the hardness momentarily giving way to something softer, more human. He squeezed your hand gently.
"Thank you," he said, the words coming out slightly stiff, as if he wasn't used to saying them—which he probably wasn't.
You smiled and reached for the cake. "Now, do you want to eat this, or should I have gone with the ice cream option instead?"
He gave you one of his rare, genuine half-smiles. "Cake is fine. But only because you went to the trouble."
As you cut slices for both of you, you caught him looking at you with an expression you couldn't quite decipher—something between wonder and confusion, as if he couldn't quite believe you were really there, celebrating his birthday with him at midnight.
"What?" you asked, handing him a slice.
"Nothing," he said, taking the cake. Then, more quietly: "Just... no one's done this for me in a long time."
Your heart ached at the implication. How many birthdays had he spent alone? How many years had passed without anyone marking the occasion?
"Well," you said, keeping your tone light despite the emotion welling in your chest, "get used to it. I plan on celebrating many more birthdays with you."
His eyes met yours, searching for any sign of insincerity. Finding none, he nodded once, a barely perceptible movement.
"I might not hate that," he admitted, which from Shigaraki was practically a declaration of affection.
You ate cake together in comfortable silence, the soft glow of his desk lamp casting long shadows across the room. Outside, the world continued to turn, heroes and villains alike sleeping through the first hours of April 4th, unaware of this quiet moment between you and the man society had deemed irredeemable.
But you knew better. Here, in this space you'd created together, he wasn't the villain from the news reports. He was just Tomura, eating birthday cake at midnight, occasionally glancing at you as if to reassure himself you were still there.
Later, as dawn approached and you both grew tired, you found yourself curled against his side, his arm tentatively around your shoulders as you watched him play with his new controller.
"Best birthday?" you asked sleepily.
He was quiet for so long you thought he might not answer. Then, so softly you almost missed it:
"Yes."
And as you drifted off to sleep beside him, you knew that whatever tomorrow held—whatever plans the League had, whatever conflicts awaited—you had given Shigaraki Tomura this one perfect moment. A birthday to remember.

10 Ideas for When You Want to Practice Divination but 'Don't Have a Good Reason to'
Sometimes you just get an urge to do some tarot, or the urge to mess with runes, but there's nothing you really want or need out of it. So I came up with some ideas that scratch the divination magic itch!
To note: for most of these prompts I will be referring to "cards" since I prefer cartomancy the most, however most of these ideas can be adapted into other forms of divination.
1. Artwork
I love drawing a random tarot card and making a quick and easy collage. Or sometimes I let the cards pick a prompt for me!
2. Make your own oracle cards/make your own form of divination
You can create your own themes, give the cards a specific use, or even just make some cards meant for witchy decoration-- do whatever you please! Likewise, you can also create your own divination system using items, symbolism, or "runic" imagery.
3. "Hang out" with your preferred divination device
I like to sit with my cards and admire the artwork, or sometimes I'll watch a movie while randomly shuffling them. It helps me feel connected to them!
4. Conduct an "interview"
Since my preferred method of divination is my tarot cards, I'll typically ask them to give me a reversed card for 'no' and a right-side-up card for 'yes'. I'll then proceed to ask it whatever questions pop into my mind. Sometimes I'll even ask it questions about myself. You can definitely adapt this idea into other forms of divination and give it a try!
Pick a card and then pick a song you feel fits the vibe of the card the most. Keep doing this until you have a full fledged playlist!
5. Make a divination-led playlist!
6. Learn a new form of divination
To name a few for inspiration: Aeromancy, Bibliomancy, Carromancy, Curiomancy, Cubomancy, Dowsing, Dream Interpretation, Scrying, Palmistry.
Please note that some forms of divination may be closely tied to closed practices and cultures and should be treated with respect.
7. Create "companion" cards for your tarot deck OR "companion runes" for rune casting!
This one coincides with idea #2 but it's a concept I love. The idea is you add new symbolic cards/runes based on preference, personal ideas, etc. It's a great way to make your deck feel even more personal to you! You could even find preexisting runes/cards and add those in if you're unsure about creating your own.
8. Make your own divination spreads
Even if you won't nessicarily use them in the moment, or even if you have a lot of spreads saved-- you can still have fun coming up with your own and writing them down to test out in the future! Think about hobbies, interests, or themes you like to inspire you.
9. Multi divination tool readings
Sometimes its fun to figure out how you can use multiple forms of divination. Write down some ideas in your grimoire on how you can possibly incorporate multiple methods so you can test it out in the future!
10. Try to predict your dreams
This one may not be a big favorite for everyone (especially considering you can argue that you'll subconsciously make your dream turn out a certain way because of your reading), but it was a fun activity i used to do when I was a beginner and needed an excuse to practice my skills! I usually would just ask a baseline question like "what will my dream look like overall?" And then from there I would ask more questions to get an idea of what it would look like.
---
I hope my list of ideas were helpful for anyone in a divination slump! I understand they may not be helpful for everyone so feel free to make your own posts with your own ideas! Likewise feel free to comment any other ideas.

okay chapter 5 review here bc word limit.
amazing how your very first and latest draft can change how I feel about your story as a whole lmao. ngl the jinwoo in your first draft reminds me of those daydream yandere!jinwoo fics lolololol so imagine my whipslash when i read the revised and expanded draft of this.
i love those to death i will be honest here but sl reader fics that depicts jinwoo more closely to his canon counterpart always hit different fr. i love how jinwoo isn't trusting of reader and constantly trying to figure her out. he's so inquisitive and smart when trying to piece everything he can find about reader (that makes a lot of sense since he becomes a detective in the revised timeline).
i really appreciate you writing him like this and it's a shame canon kinda stop writing the strategic and observant jinwoo after over the half of the story. of course if you wanted to be more canon compliant (and an excuse to keep reader involved), jinwoo would have to be more suspicious and distrustful of her and monitor her (such a jinwoo move) bc yk his deep trust issue (that has been forgotten or somehow resolved on its own in the canon story just bc. no im not bitter about it nope). therefore, it's so intriguing to read fics where his issues being addressed and his worldview being challenged. i know solo leveling is a power fantasy but it's frustrating to see our protagonist keep proving right about his very flawed and detrimental outlook, carrying the world on his shoulders alone and all that and the story acts like none of that affects him negatively or has any long lasting consequences. again it's a power fantasy but i think i can overlook this very real potential issue only if the story isn't set in a modern and semi-realistic urban setting.
anyway i skimmed through all the drafts you have and i love how they are mostly about him slowly opening up to reader. my god i cannot wait until jinwoo becomes absolutely whipped for our fae queen like in the old drafts. i know it will be absolutely satistfying and worthwhile. (can't believe all the chapters are still drafts???)

Thank you for sending your review, this genuinely made my day! 💞
Now onto your review:
Original vs Now
Funny story, this Trial Player AU's original idea was just supposed to be a single, one-shot thing. So, you're not wrong to think that it feels like a daydream yandere!Jinwoo fic, because IT IS.
I even format it like so because I didn't want to get overboard, and that I was afraid of losing interest if I held onto it for too long just because I don't have enough time to write it as long and detailed as I would've liked.
But as it turns out, I just fooled myself, because here we are with a full blown series. And me with too little time still.
The original concept of a trial player isn't even mine. I was inspired by one of @circeyoru's fics, where I just wanted to write a similar story but with a Reader that have different powers and personality.
I ended up having too many interesting ideas to expand this after posting Imagine #1, which now became the summary of this series instead of its original purpose as a one-shot, one-time thing.
To simplify: I hyperfixate. Drafts started piling up. I wanted to work out the details little by little but they were too messy for me to find the time to sit down and edit them. New method: try posting it. I can edit them as I go as long as I gave warnings beforehand to Readers that my writings can change. If this goes well, there's a chance I can receive feedbacks to improve further. Two birds with one stone. A win-win scenario for me.
I mostly write when I'm stressed out from studying and needed a temporary escape. So, it brings me extra joy when people actually enjoy my stress-induced vomit of words. 🥰
How I write canon characters
I LOVE Reader Inserts/x Reader stories, and one of the things that most of the time ruined them for me personally is if the canon intended act too OOC.
Like, I get it, we Readers aren't in the canon story, of course the canon characters will act out of script since they literally are. But if they act like a different person all together with little to no explanation, no reason that can tie them back to the essence that make them just them, then what's the point of canon x reader when it's just the same as oc x reader?
At least add a warning/note/anything else to inform readers if you're going to do that, or if you're not too sure you can write them to stay true to their canon counterparts (like me 😓).
In real life, we already proven that we are fickle beings. We kept changing for one reason or another, but we can still stay true to ourselves or be recognize as just us.
And that is what I tried to do in writing the canon characters, especially the MCs since we readers follow their story the closest, which resulted in us knowing about them more then the side/supporting characters.
We don't truly know them, we never will, but we can predict them when we put those characters in different scenes/scenarios/settings because they already have a pattern that we know.
That is what we readers of Readers Inserts ultimately sought after, to be able to imagine interacting with those same characters that we know through the pages.
At least, this is what I want. Different people, different views and opinions. This is mine.
How I write Sung Jinwoo in this alternate scenario
I only know of Solo Leveling through its webtoon/manhwa and anime adaptations. I know little no none how they are in the original webnovel/novel and game, and the little that I know are form spoilers, tidbits of them.
With this in mind, I do feel that the manhwa are missing some things, and as it turns out (from the spoilers I read), it does skip many scenes from the novel.
No hate for the artist though, if it were not for him, I wouldn't have known Solo Leveling. And I could only imagine how hard it would be to draw everything from the original.
As for Jinwoo, I'll try my best to stay true to his character from the manhwa. But note that I also added the 'Yandere' element. So, to make him not too OOC, I'll explore his thought process from the start to then falling in love to the point of madness with someone like Trial Player!Reader.
Back to the topic, this Trial Player AU of mine will mostly follow the manhwa, and I'll be using the manhwa-specific plot-holes/gaps to further integrate Trial Player!Reader into the story.
That said, I won't write/in detail all scenes there are in the manhwa. I'll only detailed scenes where I can show Trial Player!Reader's impact, while the rest are either skipped or summarized for the purpose of smooth transition between one scene and another.
I don't want this to be a slowburn, but I also needed to work out the details to Jinwoo's feelings if I want to execute this as smooth as I can get.
Hence, I apologize for the later instances of Jinwoo acting not himself, I'm still figuring out the details for those scenes, that is why I still labeled them as drafts.
Extra related topics
There is two points I shared that can be tied back to Player!Reader's personality:
One, she is a casual fan of Solo Leveling. To make this easier to write, what she knows about the original story is what I know. Reader reads the manhwa, watches the anime, and knows little of the game and original novel from spoilers only.
Second, her view of the Yandere trope. I already I wrote it somewhere in the (for now) unknown chapter 0.1, the only writing that I managed to finish.
I explained there how Reader views this particular fiction trope. It is in many ways similar to mine too. It's just so interesting to see how different people with different personalities spiral down to the far end of the emotion called love, more often associated with warmth and healing.
Emphasis on 'how', I want to see the process. Tying back to how I write Jinwoo.
It is just such an fascinating concept to imagine. And fiction have less restrictions to express that ideas than in reality, as long as we can (and should) differentiate which is true or not, which is good and bad, even if the line that separated them often blurred.
I DON'T condone yandere, toxic and extreme behaviors and actions in real life. All of my works are purely FICTION.
---
I think that's all I can say for now. Thank you once again for reading my stories and for sharing your reviews. I really means a lot! 💞
Also, a piece of advice:
Perhaps you should hold off reading the last two chapter for now (9 and 10) until I updated them. Because they are of the newer drafts, there are certain 'too-fast-of-a-development'/OOC instances there that you might find a bit weird if I assumed through this review of yours.
I just feel responsible to point this out.
You're still free to read them, of course. After, you can just keep watch if I updated them, though by then you might want reread them. Hopefully, this is not too much. This is the downside of posting drafts. I apologize for the inconveniences.
I'll always inform a major draft update in my Masterlist. So there is no need to check each draft individually everytime.

In its simplest and most elemental form, check kiting is the simple practice of stealing money or valuable goods by paying for them with a check that you know (or ought to know) will be rejected because there aren’t sufficient funds in the bank account to honor it. In this form it is known to the specialists as “paper hanging,” and it’s often a crime of desperation or one carried out with stolen checkbooks rather than a calculated commercial decision—there are obvious disadvantages to a method of stealing that requires you to give the victim your name and address. It is possible to make paper hanging into both a systematic fraud and a lifestyle, as Frank Abagnale did (and wrote about in his autobiography, Catch Me If You Can, later made into a movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio). Abagnale got over the main drawback by adopting a nomadic lifestyle and impersonating an airline pilot, something that also allowed him to travel for free, to date flight attendants during the high period of Pan Am recruitment sexism, and to have a plausible excuse for needing to cash checks all the time and not having a permanent local address. But as a commercial fraud carried out by businesspeople, check kiting is a little bit more sophisticated and takes advantage of a peculiarity of the American banking system. [...] The important technical detail here is that because paper checks are particularly common in America, and because the check-clearing cycle is so long, American banks have—unusually in a global context—historically been very generous when it comes to allowing their business customers to make payments out of “uncleared funds,” that is to say checks that have been deposited into their account but that have not yet been endorsed by the bank that they are drawn on. Effectively, when you deposit a check, you get access to a short-term interest-free loan, lasting for the duration of the check-clearing cycle. This raises the possibility of a form of fraud that is the equivalent of NFL football and pumpkin pie—something that Europeans would no doubt enjoy greatly if they tried it, but that is so deeply embedded into the overall American way of doing things that it doesn’t really travel.
What you do (in the simplest form) is that you open accounts in two banks. Call them Bank A (from which you get a checkbook with pictures of trees in it) and Bank B (which gives you a checkbook full of pictures of sports cars). Pretend for the time being that you put a token hundred bucks into each account. But now you write a check for $500,000 from your “trees” checkbook and deposit it in your Bank B account. That check is going to bounce, for certain. Except… it will only bounce when the check gets presented, and in the meantime, thinking that you have $500,000 in the bank, Bank B will not mind if you write a sports-car check and deposit it in Bank A. If Bank A sees the sports-car check, they will not mind honoring the trees check for the time being, while they are waiting for the sports-car check to clear. If they honor that check, then you can write another check to Bank B, and so on…
Of course, this looks like a bit of a closed system—you can make the checks going back and forth look as big as you like, but if you ever take the money out in cash or spend it on something, the checks will actually bounce and turn you into just another paper hanger. But creating the illusion of having two bank accounts with half a million dollars in each can be profitable in itself because as well as allowing customers to make payments out of uncleared funds, American banks used to be quite generous about paying interest on deposits as soon as they were made. In the heyday of check kiting in the early 1980s when interest rates were in the midteens and bank computer systems in their infancy, you could have earned quite a lot out of the simple kiting scheme described above, unless someone happened to notice. And although even a dull bank clerk might spot a kite based on two banks and checks going back and forth every few days, if you bring more banks into the scheme (“chaining”) and intermingle the kite with the ordinary back-and-forth cash flow of a large operating business, it becomes very difficult to detect.
Interest rates are back baby, guess it is time to bring back kiting

I know your main focus is House Targaryen but I just wanted to know your opinion on Tywin and Joanna because you have an extremely interesting interpretation in general.
Too often, Joanna is viewed as Tywin’s “moral compass,” and her death a way to excuse Tywin’s inexcusable actions. Fanfictions and fandom discussions reduce her to that saintly Madonna-figure who, if she had lived, would have single-handedly transformed the dysfunctional Lannisters into the happy-go-lucky Brady Bunch.
First, Joanna’s presence doesn’t delete the systemic problems of misogyny, patriarchy, and ableism. These aren’t just personal problems, they’re problems with society. You must completely and radically change Westerosi society to change House Lannister, but unfortunately that’s extremely difficult to do. Second; Tywin killed off all the men, women, and children of two whole houses when he was 18 years old. Long. Before. Joanna. Died. He punished his father’s mistress when Joanna was still alive. Tywin started ignoring Cersei before Joanna died. She’s Tywin’s first cousin, the Lannister blood flows through her veins, Joanna clearly approved of Tywin’s implacability and ambition, and I do think she was his chief and most trusted advisor. Over forty years after the Reyne-Tarbeck revolt, Genna is still pleased by the death of Ellyn Reyne, a woman who laughed at her when she was SEVEN. There is no reason to believe Joanna would think differently. Like Genna, Joanna would see Tywin as a hero. No Lannister is free of sin, especially no one who loved Туwin as much as she did. You are the company you keep. From what little we know about Joanna; IMO she was clearly quite adaptive and did not feel as obliged to social norms as someone from her standing usually would be. I mean, she married for love and if that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know then I don’t know what will.
Something else I think we have to remember is that Joanna grew up under Tytos’s weak rule and had lived through the decline of her house. While Tywin was off playing cupbearer in King’s Landing, Joanna had a front row seat to his lordship’s follies and the resultant lawlessness of the Westerlands. Thrice in his reign, Aegon V sent the forces of the Iron Throne to intervene and restore order to the West, but conflict resumed after the king’s knights departed. Tytos was a kind but faint-hearted man, eager to do and give anything to have the approval and attention from those around him, which resulted in his vassal houses taking advantage of him. Tytos would hand out money and laugh off excuses for not repaying it, and allowed his vassals to mock him at court or ignore his orders, making House Lannister seem like a massive pushover and easily exploitable. The more he laughs and gives, the more they despise him. Tytos’s poor leadership and desire to be loved was a disaster that almost destroyed House Lannister.
But Tywin is the one who restore the prestige and glory of House Lannister. Tywin allowed it to punch above its weight. His manner of dealing with the Reyne-Tarbeck revolt had made him respected and feared throughout the Seven Kingdoms. Though the brutality of Tywin’s methods drew censure from some, everyone agreed that order had been restored to the Westerlands. It’s quite clear to me that Joanna had nothing but admiration for the way Tywin restored respect and power to their house.
Allowing transgressions of established societal boundaries, finding escapist ways to avoid responsibility for as long as possible, forgiving people too easily, is what caused so many problems for Tytos and brought the Lannisters to near ruin, so why would Joanna want a repeat performance ? I don’t think that Joanna was cruel or sadistic or insensitive but I do think that she was ambitious, pragmatic, cunning and manipulative. Personally, I think that her being similar to Tywin in terms of personality and values is infinitely more compelling.
Tbh, I haven't thought much of Joanna besides she must have been pragmatic for Tywin to ever have any interest. That or she was very delusional and fed Tywin his own delusions. But this pseudo-essay makes her more compelling as you put it.

The dots... I've connected them and revealed your dastardly schemes. the letters TR and F are all contained in the word [tr]ans[f]em, which proves that everytime you talk abt TRFs, you akshully mean all transfems ever 🤔 checkmate atheists. 🤔🤔 /s
It's a funny thing because transfeminism and radical feminism are (supposed to be!) two different things, but transfems are called transfems because they're transfeminine, not necessarily transfeminist, so transradfem is awkwardly close to transfem because of this linguistic convergent evolution shit lmao. If I could be persuaded to not call TRFs "TRFs" it would be on that basis.
A non-kink confession: sometimes I mistype urls and, if pronounceable enough, they turn into an unwanted vocal stim. I have been beset by one for so long. If I say another tormentous fucking "vevlet" I will [insert cartoonishly over the top violent act here] for real this time
Vevlet is my Eastern European cousin.
oh yeah a friend of mine uses twitter a lot and apparently the birthday boy thing is kinda big over there. fuckin annoying.
aggravating
"but of the two times I've said that one was explicitly about a something a self-identified TME said, so it's really hard for me to agree that TRF=transfem unless you're predisposed to reading what I say in the worst way possible." I am actually genuinely upset at how deliberately and maliciously people are taking you out of context, this is literal bad faith readings!!! Oh my fucking God!!!!! How devoted do people have to be to this exclusionary rhetoric to keep saying that you're saying the exact OPPOSITE of what you're saying??? B.I.T.E. method jfc
People are like. "Velvet just uses the idea of TME TRFs to excuse hating trans women," and it's like.
No, I fucking viscerally hate guys like the one from yesterday who said he'd fight any "transandrophobia chud" and then blocked me when I said I was game, not to mention all the ones who've said something like "I know trans men have male privilege because I've socially ostracized trans women."
i fucking love ur aesthetic posts
Thank you!
This is out of pocket but like, ive been thinking abt those posts that are all "why are you transitioning to be a man? Do we really need More white men?" Hit me as crazy cause like Could you imagine if someone was like "Do we really need More White Women?" People would flip their shit Its crazy how the answer is "mind yer own fucking business when it comes to others gender journeys"
and White women are truly not any fucking better than White men lmao
I guess complaining about TME genderfuck trenders fagdykes didn't get the TRFs far enough so now all trans women are nonbinary? for fuck's sake. like what is up with the cope here?
it's like yeah what IF the moon were made of pudding
are you into VTM &, if so, do you have a clan you enjoy playing?
I loved Bloodlines but not having a consistent gaming group until this year I've never been able to fully get into it as a TTRPG fan. Which I align with varies because we're a system but I'd say that of those of who are connected to vampires, Aleph is a Brujah and Kuroko is Nosforatu. Agatha isn't a vampire but they are very Malkavian.

I mean, I’d love to hear your varcie thoughts!
(again, these are my opinions only. we can discuss to avoid fighting if ever there is disagreement lol ;w;)
READ UNDER THE CUT
ok so i will preface this by saying that everything is framed in the context of SDMI since marcie appears in that show only. vaphne and varcie are both good ships, but i prefer varcie a bit more due to how in sync velma is with marcie in a way that i think is even more aligned than she is with daphne in the show. and an extra element that i think seals the deal for me!
the first is the most obvious, which is velma and marcie being more aligned in interest and intellect. daphne is also intelligent, but it manifests more in her empathy and social navigation rather than hard knowledge and investigative method. this difference in approaching problems is important, and since marcie has the same (or near the same) informational understanding of the world as velma, this allows her to help velma in more straightforward ways. one example is how they were able to reverse engineer a tracking device from a chip they found, making investigation easier. given velma's one-track mindedness for mystery-solving, this could be read as commitment on marcie's part.
velma and marcie also both come from the same circuit. while different interests have not hindered velma and daphne from forming a meaningful friendship, it did affect priorities for them, the most obvious one being personal pursuits. having similar approaches to problem-solving allows velma and marcie focus on the task at hand most, if not all, the time. this lessens the likelihood of derailment and friction. a fair thing consider though is there's speculation here due to how brief marcie's appearance was in SDMI.
second is how they made each other better people in the short time they had on SDMI. as i said in a previous post that i like vaphne because V&D make each other better people, but we see this across the span of many shows and movies rather than being contained in a single storyline, so it feels less urgent and more stable. i felt like in SDMI, it was more of a given that V&D would be there for each other rather than a development i'm supposed to follow. in the case of velma and marcie, it was such a delight to see them develop into each other's support systems, even if its origins were off-screen in the time between seasons. personally, this feels more heartwarming because you see how big the changes are in velma when she came to terms with who she is and dropped whatever pretense she had about what she thinks she needs. it was refreshing and freeing to see her not want to change anything about marcie because she already knows that this is what she needs.
in marcie's case, she finally found a friend (and possibly more) in velma and doesn't feel like she has to put up walls around her. it's fairly simple since she's a secondary character, but it doesn't feel any less earned.
the whole rivals-to-friends-to-lovers thing is honestly so peak, i have to say.
third and last is...there's an element of reckless abandon that adds a lot of drama to this ship--which is ironic since both girls are shown to be very logical and grounded. what does this mean? you have to excuse me for being a bit delusional, but it reads like love to me. i think this is a unique factor of varcie, where our girls make dangerous, borderline bonkers calls in the name of love for each other.
we all know what happened at the end of marcie's arc, but there were other instances where she willingly laid down her own safety just so velma can achieve her goals. it almost feels kind of like a soap opera, where love takes over logic by way of self-sacrifice (figuratively and *sigh* literally). like you gotta realize how insane it is for marcie to say yes to going into the heart of Mr. E's lair to steal the disks for velma (and mystery inc). that is not a light favor to ask, and not a light favor to agree to!
on velma's end, she has to swallow her grief and see things through to not waste marcie's sacrifice. that is not an easy thing to do either. there's a tinge of madness happening in this ship that's driven by love and i think that's bittersweet and beautiful :( i try to be normal about this ship, but i fail most of the time lol
so yeah, that's pretty much it. thanks for being patient and reading my thoughts on varcie. i wanted to make sure what i'm writing made sense, so hopefully it does (??). if there are any violent reactions, let me know, we can talk about it :D

What’s an unpopular opinion you have about clh? 👀
I could go for such low hanging fruit here and talk about Ramon and how much of a pedestal he’s put on within the fandom without actual analysis featuring source material references, and consistently going for the ‘Fanon Shadow The Hedgehog’ effect and how there’s only a handful of scenes that are discussed consistently and many of them are kinda irrelevant in the long run (ie… cow hooker. this is mainly about that. I mean it’s funny but it’s confusing how that’s considered important when there’s more to extrapolate from. And frankly… why not? We all have that one character or something that was handled so poorly and/or should not exist and I’ve seen many an essay about characters just scrolling through the tag and all of them have at least had something to think about.) (Also speaking of him and essays before my best friend raises her brow at this topic she is exempt from this because she’s actively done the research and does in fact get him out of this loop of the same three scenes whenever they ramble about him so. They’re excused.)
But if you want something kind of scathing I feel like Sarah’s breakdown is much more justifiable than people give it credit. Yes it’s ‘long’ (and it should be <3) and introduces so much lore very quickly in a way that was definitely impacted by a short runtime but. I don’t care. It does its job so damn well and it’s obvious as to what it says really, she’s literally a victim of the system herself and isn’t the spawn of Satan , she was just built up by propaganda (something that the fandom doesn’t tend to point fingers at Ramon for but uh. He was the messenger. I know he was forced to or whatever and also a victim of Eden because they literally saved his life when he nothing (and still went on to really despise everything except believing he was doing the right thing for the children when he literally made a dictator. I know he’s not exactly aware of that but! Hi, why do we not talk about that. Scared of admitting that your precious emo guy who could do no wrong is Literally a major contributing factor to things wrong? Or is it a dislike for Sarah for either a reason that could be argued against or is just reflective of some shitty views that you need to unpack? (also. this is becoming such a tangent but Dolph is right there, he has everything Ramon has; shitty coping skills, a gun, ‘sex appeal’, I mean I don’t get it, not into men as we’ve established but I understand it significantly more. Like he has all the makings of that character archetype so… why is it not okay when it’s him yknow? Like I know there’s so much more to both of them than that but they do often get boiled down to those specific traits and I really do wonder why it’s not okay when Dolph does it. It’s probably horrible views you need to unpack again I’ll be real. I could write an essay but I can’t lie I just woke up. Maybe one day?) Anyways back to the point, Sarah’s crash out was very well deserved in my opinion and I know the common takeaway is that she knows what’s happening but. No she does not, the defense was that she was only a child, which whilst being true is not full clarity. Full clarity would probably involve a further breakdown, not moving 5D chess pieces to create what ever she believes is the correct future because it’s everyone else around her who’s corrupt, are her methods fucked up? Yes. Is the intention fucked up… I really, I really doubt that but that goes into headcanon territory and not what we’re shown I’ll put a pin in that.
Also friendly reminder that Sarah literally hasn’t killed anyone on screen aside from Cody, that one member of Dedsec who I don’t particularly know (I have not played Watchdogs yet and it’s… pretty low priority for me at the moment due to college work and everything I’m playing for fun and things I’ve gotten heavily into via CLH sorry :() and Dolph(?) (we still don’t really know and technically he took himself out.), I know she’s the reason for multiple imprisonments, tortures and probable deaths but here’s the thing. (Also if she had more time she would have killed more people but shush I’m making a point) Jade, technically not her fault and she was… clearly dead after being shot by Pagan Min (which is ridiculous if you ask me. Oh right. The guys can survive explosions, the guys need to be rammed with lasers and countless bullets or have their brains severely damaged and yet Jade can’t survive one shot… ngl we’ve said it before but wow we do not like women in this household clearly 💀) and the bomb only went off because Dolph asked (and I have analysed all of the scenes post Jade’s death still related to Sarah and 😭😭😭 that’s also an entire essay topic but oh my god I love how that’s the only death she genuinely shows some kind of emotion over other than Sam because he was present this time 💀 also another essay topic but I need to get through more of SC first so I can create that argument in depth because that could be summed up quick but it’d do everyone involved a disservice and that was not a knock on Sam at all I like him, it’s just that the role reversal and lore comparisons go hard I think.) Uh. Pey’J got shot up by the police (as he should but not for the reason they used.) and Bullfrog nearly being executed had nothing to do with her. So whilst yeah, she could have absolutely killed them herself she didn’t, most likely because at the end of the day they were good assets.
On a more light-hearted note: Bullfrog is not ‘hot’, nor is he cute in the way I commonly see him being utilised. He’s adorable, sure, but not in this soft, almost uwu-ification way (I am never writing that again ew) by way of taking his entire identity as an Assassin away from him. Guys. He kills people. He is at least older than 40 years old (Wastelanders War. Which also begs the question of hybrid growth and age but that’s a question that’ll literally never really be answered in a canon capacity by much) he’s not a child. He is polite and respectful explicitly because that falls in line with the creed itself. (I’m not the lore expert on AC but a part of being an Assassin is in the way they carry themselves outside of a murderous context. He’s just a guy dedicated to his job who just so happens to be the most jovial person around yknow.
I’m aware that fandom flanderisation is going to happen to everyone to varying degrees it’s just very interesting in the way it happens because honestly I don’t think these should be majorly unpopular but then again. Interpretation is one hell of a thing.
#captain laserhawk#clh sarah fisher#… do I risk tagging the other two in case I get dogpiled?#No. No I think people will get it. Just because I say something about a fanon interpretation is bad doesn’t mean I hate the character pleas

It really does actually annoy me when people claim FMA is a pro-revolution narrative because it's no more pro-revolution than any other fantasy series. Like half of the fantasy books in existence contain a spunky gang overthrowing an evil government/king. Fucking Harry Potter ended in a revolution. The presence of a revolution in a fantasy/sci-fi series does not in itself make for a pro-revolution narrative in a real world context.
The catalyst for FMA's revolution is not its genocide or the ongoing racism, discrimination, and disenfranchisement of the Ishvalan people. The catalyst for its revolution is that there are evil fantasy monsters masquerading as a government intent on using the massacres they've already caused to destroy the whole country via a magic ritual. The solution to the actual, real world problems of colonization, discrimination, and genocide is routinely and explicitly stated to be working within the system. Miles' entire character more or less exists to show an Ishvalan working within the military in order to change the system from the inside, and is contrasted with Scar (the only other Ishvalan character), whose chosen method is violence and direct disruption of the system, in a favorable way. And Miles' character is just one way in which this message — work within the system to change minds — is reinforced. 'Violent revolution' is a reaction to a fantasy threat, not real-world problems.
Revolution is a fun plot for fantasy/sci-fi because it pits underdog heroes against an overwhelming evil. And also, most people will agree in the abstract that revolutions are justified when faced with an overwhelming evil. The actual point of contention is what constitutes an 'overwhelming evil'. Most fantasy bypasses this messy question (and otherwise sanitizes revolutions) in various ways, allowing people who shudder at real-life revolutions to root for our heroes. FMA is no different; its fantasy threat, unreplicable in real life, is the driving factor and excuse for revolution, whereas its reaction to more grounded problems in Amestris' society is 'working within the system'.
Without the fantasy threat of the homunculi working towards a nation-wide transmutation circle that'll kill literally everyone in it, FMA never would've justified a revolution. Not on behalf of the Ishvalans, not as a reaction to genocide. Think of this what you will, I'm not here to tell you what to think about violent revolutions, but under these circumstances, I do not think it's accurate to describe FMA as a pro-revolution narrative anymore than it's accurate to describe Harry Potter as one.
#Sorry to mention harry potter in the year 2023 but i chose it specifically to illustrate#That the presence of a revolution (even one tied to discrimination) does not necessarily make for a pro-revolution narrative#Or a narrative that handles race well for that matter. Lmao#My posts#fma

Do you think people in the fandom would be more forgiving towards Sasuke character as a whole if we got the show from his perspective or if not that then if his thoughts are more shown?
I find myself drawn to his character because, in many ways, I see reflections of my own inclinations, albeit magnified. The tumultuous events that unfolded within his clan and the devastating actions of his brother, wiping out everyone, add a layer of complexity to his character. It's kind of intrigued me to consider that, under similar circumstances, I might make similar choices, perhaps even worse. The Narutoverse, with its deeply rooted issues like child soldiers, clan annihilation, and internal slavery within the Hyuga branch, presents a grim reality. While some characters, and even elements of the fandom, criticize and reject his actions, arguing that trauma should not be an excuse, it's hard to ignore the systemic problems within the Narutoverse itself. The pervasive cycle of suffering, with clans being wiped out and individuals enslaved, points to a broken system that breeds villains and antagonists seeking change.
In contrast to the complacency and cooperation displayed by many characters, those who rebel against the established order and strive for something different, flawed as their execution may be, at least attempt to address the root issues. The fact that they are trying to break free from the oppressive system suggests a level of agency and resistance, even if I may not fully agree with their methods. That's why I'm more forgiving towards the antagantis like Pain, Madara and especially in Sasuke case.
Reflecting on Naruto's journey and his current achievements the fundamental issues persist unchanged.
Also, sorry if this got long I ramble a lot when discussing lol. I hope you have a good day.
Hello, this took long to reply, and for that, I apologize.
I don’t think the issue is “not having Sasuke’s thoughts on display” for him to get sympathy, as we get to see firsthand the reasoning behind his actions, his background, and connections; we also get to see the atrocities committed by the system on multiple characters including those that the fandom takes as “less controversial” and which are considered victims of a bigger scale than Sasuke. I put more blame on the naturalization of state-sanctioned violence and the oppression of minority groups who are then blamed for their village’s actions as they are “savage-coded,” which turns the government’s oppression into a response to their behavior rather than an action born from their own bias. Their ultimate argument always boils down to “fighting violence with violence is not the way,” yet they fail to understand that a government built with brutality as its primary basis and as its primary tool leaves no room for negotiations, as it also implies that those oppressed continue to be oppressed until a “solution” is reached through time. They blame those discriminated against and later on massacred for their demise and not those in power who decided that committing genocide was a plausible solution to their dispute.
The main issue with the idea that “their hearts are in the right place, but I don’t agree with the antagonist methods” also derives from this same perspective, where the discriminated must take all the consequences of the persecution they suffered and choose the “moral high ground” still to keep being “victims” and not become “victimizers.” Their categorization as innocents/savages is always based upon their response to the mass killing of their kin, minimizing the actions of those in power and diminishing the value of their critics to the system in place.
Yet, while the naturalization of state-sanctioned violence plays a part in Sasuke’s status as a “villain” by many of his detractors, it’s not the only one, as many feel Naruto has a similar (perhaps harder) experience with the system in place as he was ostracized, yet he chose to follow Konoha’s WoF –many fans are closer to experience something similar to Naruto (an unpopular kid that was often shunned by comrades), so they feel more inclined to stand behind a character that reflects a personal experience of them, and not behind the boy who suffered genocide, a thing not many can see themselves in nor can build sympathy for as they (again) naturalized such occurrence.
The popularization of the action genre featuring first-world soldiers invading the global south, whose focus is more on the trauma that lingers in the invader for trying to bring peace than on the indiscriminate killing of minorities, also contributes to seeing those in power as more humane or deserving of redemption than those responding violently against the intruders, because those invaded should put their trust in the “good intentions” of those abiding by the system that destroyed them in the first place.
