For where there is desolation, there is room for God. This is the belief you cling to in a gaze held to Fort Solitude and its surrounding lands. As its name suggests, the keep has stood lonesome and sullen over some decades, the village at its feet yearns for the same aid of repair. God’s aid. That which you are sent to provide.Β
Β Β β€œThis is as far as I will go. The Lord’s infinite gift for strength that I do not wrangle Father Fury’s neck with a noose is futile.” Abbess Maria shuns the reclusive settlement with a look of irritation. You swallow thickly at the boldness of her confession. Tongue held in silence, your gloved hands squeeze the reins of your horse, you turn to blindness in favour of the growing anticipation that swells inside your chest and blooms brightly with your unshaken faith.
Β Β β€œI must venture forward now, alone,” you conclude, voice lilted behind a fleeting stream of breath that mists past your lips. She nods firmly, her jaw clenched.
Β Β You accept this. Understanding her position and that personal ties lay as opposing obstacles tend to entrap, you take no part in trying to sway her decision. β€œShall Ser John escort you?”
Β Β β€œNo, I can manage from here,” you answer evenly, eyes cast down to instead count the woven threads of the saddle’s pommel. Your lungs expand and your shoulders push with a deep inhale, the smell of rain lingering in the valley. Raising your focus back to Fort Solitude, you are swept in the renewing grace of God’s spirit.Β
Β Β He guides you now. You feel it.Β
Β Β β€œI am here for a purpose, it is God’s will that I go forth now, and with his light I will prevail. I promise, Abbess Maria, I will notβ€” and they’re gone…” Only a cloud of dust resides where your escorts once were, long since vanished are the thundering applause of their escape.
Β Β β€˜Alone then, but with the Lord.’
Β Β β€œVery well, let us be off!” Lips folding out into a brimming smile and with chirpy tone, you sit a little straighter in your saddle and nudge your heel inward, riding down the spiraling dirt road as you take in the rolling hillside. From what you have been told by the higher council of the Vatican, the settlement has been absent in its presence, cut off from the rest of the world. Tucked into this darkened corner of the realm, your superiors wish to see its return to the fold, to become a beacon of hope and refuge once more.Β
Β Β Many of the sisters back home spoke in hushed tones when news spread of your newly elected station. That the residents of Fort Solitude were beyond saving, that their souls were condemned for eternity’s hellfire. And to that, you very much disagreed with. Because they spoke with spirits of fear and faith that wavered like a flame to a breeze. The abbey sang a chorus of sighing relief when their names were not summoned.Β
Β Β It makes you smile that this opportunity has been given to you. That this great task, no matter how bigger it may seem for someone of your inexperienced caliber, it can only mean that the Lord has set this plan for you. With a light-hearted hum on your tongue, you continue with a merry bounce in your saddled approach.Β
Β Β β€œWhat the fuck is that?” A woman of blonde hair sneers, lips screwed into a thinned line in her scrutinising glare. Joining her at the wooden fence, two other women also study the approaching form.
Β Β β€œMaybe she got lost?” suggests Wanda, her tone light with benefited doubt. Not that that swayed the mind of either woman beside her, their eyes still bearing the weight of their prowling judgment.Β
Β Β β€œDo you think Father Fury knows of this?”
Β Β β€œWe’re at time to find out,” snorts the blonde haired, sauntering out past the fenced gate, the two women not too far behind. β€œMaybe she’s a gifted lamb for the headsman’s axe.”
Β Β β€œSharon!” hisses both Wanda and Natasha, ignoring the way she practically moaned the words.Β
Β Β Sharon laughs, the sound a clouded abyss of sickness that hangs like an ominous storm. Not too long until the priest joins the growing community outside, his untaken eye spying your approach, your horse slowing to a trot at your gentle command.Β
Β Β β€œGreetings, Sister.”
Β Β β€œFather Fury,” you say in return, still adorning that bright and thoughtful smile, you take a moment to dismount. Your struggle, however, provides a much amusing sight for the villagers who snicker quietly amongst themselves.Β
Β Β Fury arches a brow and clears his throat, bringing a dismissing silence. Stumbling back a little, you turn to face the settlement’s priest with a victorious grin.Β
Β Β β€œAbbess Maria didn’t accompany you?”
Β Β β€œHm? Oh, no, she erm… well, she was, but I uh…” Your move to gesture up towards the opening juncture of the valley where you’d come from, your grin falling into a grimace as each word became utterly futile.Β
Β Β β€œI thought it best to carry on alone.” You refrain from gulping too loudly.Β
Β Β β€œOf course. Come.” He beckons you forward with a wave of his hand and with a staggering attempt to bow, in courtesy of the mud trampling your resolve, you tug the reins and follow alongside him.Β
Β Β β€œFather, I’ve come to understand that there was an… incident involving the previous sister.” In the company of Fury, you believe there is no reason to hide the relation of fear you have regarding that particular detail.Β
Β Β β€œYes, there was. Unfortunate in loss, rest her soul, now we’ve moved on.”
Β Β β€œOh, I see…” The lax nature of his response leaves the beginnings of a bad taste on your tongue, dry and tart, but you push forward. You must look ahead if you are to get anywhere here.Β
Β Β β€œI’ve this letter from the Vatican, Father,” you begin with slight pause, procuring the sealed document from your safekeeping, you hand it to him. His eye glares down at you, a brow coiled up in his unspoken anguish, his suspicion of the Vatican all present in a single look.Β
Β Β He thanks you quietly under his breath and breaks the wax seal with a muffled pop and unfurls it, reading over its contents. For a moment you each stop and you take the opportunity to come to know what will be your supposed home now.Β
Β Β You cannot exactly say for sure how long you’ll be present at Fort Solitude. Only God knows. Casting the land in a graying gloom, the village is not the sight you’d heard in gossip. Much rather, it stands relatively still and otherwise, together, but the feel of it is… wrong. Tainted by darkness.Β
Β Β Colour appears to be washed out. A dull palette that grieves an aura of forsaken-hood.Β
Β Β β€˜Blue!’
Β Β Striking, the grandest and highest majesty of blue you’ve ever seen, and you’ve seen a lot of colour. But nothing like the marvellous hue of his eyes. And unblinking to a degree so unnerving you find it impossible to release a single ounce of breath, now held prisoner in your chest until the ripened bubble of explosion is upon you - ready to break you - but his penetrative gaze commands you to not give in.Β
Β Β A man with a powerful stride to his walk, a path carved by purpose, each step as lethal as the next and last; as everything that is him.Β
Β Β Your voice is suddenly lost. Incapable to bring yourself to question the priest of who the man dressed in dark clothing, and a heavy leather coat that flows at the muddy hem and dirtied boots. A clinking of leather straps and buckles looping this way and that over his broad form as he saunters alongside the keep’s walls, dark brown hair cascading down in framing locks, haphazardly pulled into a bun with no trace of neatness. A mask covers the lower of his face, concealing the remainder of his features and leaving you to the idea of imagination. A man of rugged charm.Β
Β Β Of sinful charm. A forbidden combination of feelings riles within you, stirring your skin to become reddened with blooming heat. You only pray to the Lord above that the overdrape of your cowl hides your manner of impropriety.
Β Β However, your entranced stare turns widened, the fast repetition of your heartbeat forces you to gasp, finally allowing your stilled breath free. In the weight of his fisted palm is the balancing beam of wood, anchored at its end a sharpened tool of bloodshed. A curved and very sharp blade. And freshly blooded. Need you ask, that is no longer necessary, to only realise that this man is an executioner.Β
Β Β β€œI see that Bishop Alexander is insistent on your work here,” Father Fury says, beckoning your attention.Β
Β Β With a shake of your head you rid away the impure thoughts that threaten you, repelling them with a clearance of mind and throat. You must focus. You are here to help, to offer yourself as a vessel for God’s help. You cannot simply be distracted by a pair of beautiful eyes - no matter how enchanting - you are a sworn sister of the church.Β
Β Β β€œVery well. By this letter, it appears that you are one of astute read, and willed strongly in your duties.”
Β Β β€œWords spoken kindly… but yes, that is what defines my repute, Father.” A deflection of the praise, your tone reserved and soft.
Β Β Yes, Bishop Alexander spoke highly of your work and commitment to the order, and your unwavering faith and loyalty. For each struggle is a mere trial you are meant to overcome. An admirable quality. Amongst many things, your tendency to lend help to the city’s streets, at times from dawn to dusk, captured the attention of the Vatican’s council. And thus, it was brought to attention that Fort Solitude remained an outskirted fortress, unyielding to rejoin the outer community. And you would be sent to do what you do best.Β
Β Β β€œIndeed, kind. But I’d wager flattery first and foremost.” The plainness of his comment rears its ugly head. You sputter over your words that come out as a series of contorted starters and ends, noises he assumes will be frequent.Β
Β Β β€œW-why would the Bishop - or anyone - need to flatter me?”
Β His hand waves in gesture to dismiss your ensuing shock. β€œDon’t take to it, Sister, perhaps to get closer to God through you.”
Β Β Your lips pinch and purse together, your eyes rolling over the mystery of the executioner's sudden disappearance and Father Fury. β€œI-I don’t… understand your meaning.”
Β Β All it took was a simple glance of his good eye and bow of his head, and a sudden chill creeps into your skin like claws. Your body involuntarily shivers, an unsettled grimace upon your visage. β€œEw…”
Β Β You dare not dwell on such paths of thought. To cure the churning disease that is that concept, you tilt your chin high to take in the fort, its walls old and worn, but still bearing strength in its foundations. A once respectable court and haven for the old knights brotherhood, the Templars, the fort’s survival for all these years is remarkable.Β
Β Β God hasn't given up on this refuge. No matter the trying of the enemy, His will would not be defeated. This line of thought that distracts you brings you to smile, forcing away any disturbed topic prior.Β
Β Β β€œIt is getting late.” He draws your attention to the sun that levels low over the mountain ridge, though its presence is masked by the thick smog of overcasting clouds. β€œI’ll have James show you to your quarters.”
Β Β Akin to the innocence of a pup, your head cocks to the side, voice inflecting with keen curiosity. β€œJames?”
Β Β The older man answers your inquiry with a summon, calling over the man you presume is this β€˜James’, your jaw slackens the moment you come to see those alluring pools of heaven’s blue.Β
Β Β β€˜Grant me your strength, Heavenly Father, for this man is dangerous.’
Β Β He discards his mask as he walks towards you, eyes shifting from yours to Fury, brows pressed firm into a furrowing glare. β€œJames, this is Sister L/N, I ask that you show her to her respective room.”
Β Β James chuffs a haughty breath through his nose, as if to snicker in his contemplative annoyance, he nods obediently to the now retreating priest and then looks to you. For a moment, he just stares, the affect of it is potent, it begins to play your mind in ways you did not think capable of a mortal man.Β
Β Β You’re unsure what exactly it is that traverses the process of his mind, his expression impenetrable to reading, all you can do is give him a wide smile, but otherwise that feels like it’s too much. For a moment you think you see something move beneath the placidity of this man, a startled view in the reflection of his hues, like he’s never seen anyone smile at him before; at least not like you.Β
Β Β Β β€œSo the Vatican sent another one.”
Β Β A rather interesting first impression but you would take it. You nod, perhaps a bit too much with enthusiasm, you answer with a definite and pronounced, β€œYes.”
Β Β His gloved hand wrestles the reins from your own and he walks without so much as another glance or word. Fisting the skirt fabric of your long, black grown to hop over a puddle, you’re at his heel as he leads you through the iron gates and into the large courtyard.Β
Β Β β€œI am sure Father Fury has spoken of my arr—”
Β Β His interjection comes bluntly and swiftly, β€œNot really.”
Β Β β€˜Uh…’
Β Β His hair dances the line of his heightened collar to peer over his shoulder and down at you. Quickly, you cast your eyes down to the ground, inspecting the water-lined footprints and minute details, he only hums in what you either calculate to be in amusement or relief. As to what personalised goal, you cannot fathom. Willing to remain in control of yourself, you puff the contouring of your mouth with air and continue.Β
Β Β β€œI see. Well, as evidently as it is, I am here to provide solace and comfort to those of Fort Solitude.”
Β Β β€œAs was the last,” he whistles aloud over the gust of wind that howls downwards from the mountains, the power of it forces the tresses of your clothing to flutter about madly. Harbouring your horse in the nearby stables, he passes the duty of her care onto the stable-hand, before he unstraps your bag from the saddle.Β
Β Β When you try to reach for it, he swings it over his shoulder, cocking a brow at you with a bout of skepticism over your actions. You huff shortly in reply, β€œYou needn’t carry my belongings, I canβ€” and he’s gone…” the last of which is muttered under your breath.Β
Β Β β€˜What is it with this man?’
Β Β You have to lift the skirts of your gown again to hurry after him towards the keep, a small yelp catches in your throat from almost tripping through a puddle, he eyes you warily once at the heavy, wooden doors. Smoothing down the fabric of your gown and regaining your composure, you motion for him to continue with an eager and bright smile.Β
Β The only thing he can think in that moment as he pushes the doors open with a howling bellow of its aged hinges, is that you smile at him too much, with far too much hope in those eyes of yours.Β
Β Β β€œWelcome to Fort Solitude, Sister.”

You slammed your hands onto the mahogany table, fixing Bucky with a disbelieving glare. "You want me to what?"
Bucky leaned back in his chair, a sly smirk playing at the corners of his lips as he looked you up and down. "I want you to put a small bomb into a cake."
You shook your head in disbelief. "This is the most insane thing I've ever heard."
Earlier, 30 minutes ago:
You hadn't anticipated any of this when you decided to pay Bucky a visit. Stepping into the nightclub he owned, you were met with a wave of pulsating music and flashing lights, a stark contrast to the quiet elegance of the estate.
"Your Grace, welcome!" Bucky's voice boomed over the crowd, drawing attention from every corner of the room. Rolling your eyes at his exuberance, you made your way up to the second floor, feeling eyes following your every move.
Bucky left the table where girls surrounded him, their eyes shooting daggers at you as if you were stealing him away.
Your thoughts echoed, 'I don't even want to be in the same room with him.'
As he approached you, Bucky flashed you a charming smile. "What do you think about this place?"
You shrugged nonchalantly. "It's nice, I guess."
He chuckled, leaning in closer. "The Duke's been turning a pretty penny with this joint."
"Really?" you replied, genuinely surprised.
He nodded, his gaze lingering on you. "Let's talk privately. I know you hate being here."
You followed Bucky to a quieter corner, the thumping bass of the music fading into the background as you settled into a booth. The air was thick with the scent of perfume and cigarette smoke.
You arrived at Bucky's office, the room exuding an air of power and authority. As he gestured towards a board adorned with photos and plans, you couldn't help but feel a sense of unease settle in.
Pointing your finger towards the board, you narrowed your eyes. "Five photos, five explosions."
Bucky snapped his fingers in agreement, a smirk playing on his lips. "That's right."
You studied the images closely, your mind racing with the implications of what Bucky was asking of you.
"What exactly do you do?" you inquired, your voice betraying a hint of apprehension.
Bucky leaned back in his chair, his gaze steady as he met your eyes. "When the police, lawyers, and bribes don't work, that's where I come in."
Your stomach churned at his words, the gravity of the situation sinking in. "Private executioner," you muttered, the realization hitting you like a ton of bricks.
Bucky chuckled, his laughter ringing out in the dimly lit room. "You make it sound scary. But you're right."
Bucky's words sent a shiver down your spine, his tone oozing with confidence and determination.
"But rest assured, Your Grace," he continued his voice smooth yet laced with an undeniable edge. "I won't let you do the dirty work."
As Bucky explained the situation, his hands moved with purpose, punctuating each word. His eyes glinted with determination, a silent challenge in his gaze.
"You see, this Duke owns a nightclub in the same area as me," Bucky began, his voice low but intense. "He feels threatened by my club's success, so he's been causing unnecessary problems for me."
You furrowed your brow, trying to process the gravity of his request. "So it's about business competition," you mused aloud, your arms crossed defensively over your chest.
Bucky caught your hesitation, his jaw clenching slightly as he sensed your reluctance. "Look, I know it's a big ask," he conceded, his tone softening just a fraction. "But this Duke needs to learn that he can't push me around."
As Bucky dropped the bombshell revelation, his voice lowered to a conspiratorial whisper, his eyes darting around the room to ensure privacy.
"And there's another thing," he began, his tone grave. "This person we're dealing with... he's a predator."
Your stomach churned at the revelation, a surge of anger and revulsion coursing through you. Yet, amidst the darkness of the situation, a glimmer of relief washed over you – knowing that your actions would be directed against someone so vile lessened the weight of your conscience.
"What kind of explosion are we talking about?" you asked, your voice edged with determination, ready to take on the task.
He clapped his hand "Finally, we're speaking at the same language."
Bucky's reply came without hesitation, his gaze unwavering. "A cake that could explode."
You couldn't help but roll your eyes at his seemingly flippant response. "Stop joking, please," you retorted, your words laced with a mixture of disbelief and incredulity.
Bucky chuckled at your skepticism. "I'm not kidding," he insisted, his expression serious despite the playful tone in his voice.
He leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with mischief as he outlined his vision. "I want it to be dramatic. When the cake explodes, I want him to be thrown back, like in those superhero movies where the hero sends the villain flying into a wall."
With a theatrical flourish, he mimicked the sound effect. "Whoosh..."
You couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at his theatrics. "Whoosh, huh?" you repeated, mimicking a baseball swing with your hand.
Bucky grinned in response, playing along with your jest. "Yeah, whoosh," he affirmed, nodding in agreement.
As you watched Bucky's playful antics, a fleeting thought crossed your mind – if only you could open his head and see what was truly happening inside.
Tumblr media
As the countdown approached its final moments, you and Bucky assumed your roles as waitstaff, blending seamlessly into the crowd gathered for the Duke of Langley's party.
Behind the bar, Bucky expertly mixed drinks while you diligently wiped down glasses, your eyes fixed on the unsuspecting target near the elaborate cake.
As the Duke began his speech, the guests gravitated towards him, leaving the bar momentarily deserted. Bucky stood closer to you, his presence looming over you as he leaned in slightly. "I still wonder why you wandered off alone to the U.S."
Bucky asked, his tone casual but with a hint of curiosity, "Was the rumor true that your stepdad kicked you out?"
You shot him a sharp glance, mentioning your past hitting a nerve. Bucky quickly raised his hands in a placating gesture. "Sensitive topic, I see. Just trying to make conversation," he offered with a shrug, his attention already shifting to his watch.
With a swift tug, he pulled you down to the ground just as the countdown reached its climax. His smirk was unmistakable as he whispered, "5... 4... 3... 2... 1."
And then, the explosion.
A deafening 'BANG' reverberated through the room, followed by startled cries and screams.
The force of the explosion sent a rush of wind through the room, causing glass to shatter and chaos to erupt. In the midst of the commotion, Bucky instinctively shielded you, his protective stance contrasting sharply with the panic unfolding around you.
As screams filled the air and guests scrambled for safety, Bucky couldn't help but chuckle lowly at the scene before him. Through the haze of smoke and confusion, he spotted the Duke of Langley sprawled on the ground, unconscious.
"Hahahaha," Bucky laughed, his amusement evident as he surveyed the aftermath.
But while he found humor in the chaos, you couldn't quite grasp what was so amusing about the situation.
Tumblr media
For the next couple of days, you couldn't shake the memory of the Duke's unfortunate fate. Even as Hugo excitedly dragged you to a tennis tournament – a sport you cared little for, except when it came to Hugo's enthusiasm – you found it hard to muster any interest.
Seated in the VIP area, you watched the players enter the field without much enthusiasm.
"Something bothering you?" A deep voice interrupted your thoughts, and you turned to see Eddie beside you. Dressed sharply in a suit with a polo shirt underneath and sporting sunglasses, he smiled at you, his presence offering a welcome distraction.
You sighed, feeling the weight of recent events. "Yeah, just... recent events, you know?"
Eddie's smile faltered slightly as he picked up on your somber mood. "I heard about the nightclub incident. Quite the news."
Eddie's mention of the "sweet bomb" at Duke Langley's party caught you off guard, and you looked at him with a questioning expression.
He chuckled at your reaction. "That bomb reminded me of the time when you wanted to run away from the dormitory and decided to make a big scene."
You couldn't help but laugh. "You remember that?"
Eddie leaned in closer, his expression curious. "Is this related to Barnes?"
You nodded. "Yup. Seems like I've gotten myself into quite the mess."
Eddie's tone was somber as he addressed you. "Y/N, I didn't expect you to make a bomb for Barnes."
You sighed, feeling the weight of the situation. "8 million pounds, Eddie. Even if I sold my kidney and heart, it still wouldn't cover it."
He chuckled softly. "If you want, I could make him go away."
But you shook your head, remembering Bucky's enjoyment amidst the chaos at Duke Langley's party. "It's better if you don't get near him. For your own good, for your mental health."
"Duke of Langley had it coming," you added, your voice tinged with resignation and defiance.
Eddie's lips curled into a wry smile, a glint of amusement flashing in his eyes. "That's one way to put it. But you've certainly made a splash."
You arched an eyebrow, curiosity piqued by his cryptic remark. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Eddie's expression turned serious as he leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You've caught the attention of some dangerous individuals. Now everyone from petty thugs to organized crime bosses sees you as a valuable asset."

Sneak Peek!
a Steve Rogers x Avenger!Reader excerpt
Tumblr media
Summary: Steve reaches his breaking point when you return to the field after severe injuries.
Warnings for a touch of the spice and a vicious/hot argument. WC ~550 *This work is not in final edits yet. All mistakes are my own.
Tumblr media
β€œYou’re not my superior officer, and if you think for one second I did anything wrong out there, go ahead and report me. From where I’m standing, I did the work, got cleared for duty, helped out the team, and stopped you from being shot in the head.”
β€œFine," Steve shouts, arms crossed over his chest, "but quit acting like a selfish coward.”
β€œA what?”
β€œYou heard me.”
β€œIf you’re gonna throw a hissy fit every time I get a scratchβ€”β€œ
β€œTHREE BULLETS IS NOT A SCRATCH.” He triesβ€”he visibly, painfully triesβ€”to keep his cool one last time. β€œYou weren’t ready,” he concludes, judge, jury, and executioner all poured into one star-spangled package.
β€œSay’s who?” You’re stepping closer, getting in his face because this is bullshit and unfair. β€œLast time I checked, you’re not a doctor, and you should be thanking me for saving your assβ€”β€œ
β€œIt’s not your job to save me.”
β€œWe have the same job, Steve! We are both perfectly capable ofβ€”β€œ
β€œI know that,” he barks.
β€œDo you? Because you don’t seem to think I can’t handle myself." You push weakly at his chest like it's a game. "Maybe you need to walk it off, buddy.”
Oh shit. You’ve done it now.
β€œWalk it off?! WALK IT OFF?!”
Steve charges like a bull seeing red, crowding you against the far wall, a derisive finger pointed at your heart.
β€œYou were injured. You didn’t make contact. You went dark for days, and you could have died. Alone. Out there. Who knows how long it would have taken us to find you. Noβ€”β€œ he cups your chin in a tight pinch β€œβ€”you want to talk about a job? It’s protocol to check in. It’s common courtesy to let me know you’re alive, and it’s goddamn rude to ignore your own safety.”
There’s a deep line of frustration carved between his brows. His nostrils flair as he waits, daring you to refute him.
β€œWell, isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black.”
β€œExcuse me?”
Steve lets go of you, smacked away by your cutting tone.
β€œOh, whatever, Rogers,” you taunt, rolling your eyes. β€œPlay martyr all you want, but we both know you don’t have the authority to bench me.”
β€œLike hell I don’t,” he growls, grabbing your wrists and throwing your arms above your head. He weaves your hands through the cargo net behind you. The loops are tight and complicated in seconds, he’s so fast.
You can’t wriggle away.
Steve roughly throws the zipper of your uniform down, letting the jacket hang open to show nothing but your sports bra.
β€œLet’s see how you like feeling paralyzedβ€”β€œ he dexterously undoes your belt β€œβ€”exposedβ€”β€œ your pants and underwear are yanked down to your ankles β€œβ€”and afraid.”
His last word thickens the air on the jet.Β
How can this man launch you into unbridled lust in the space of two syllables? Who. Fucking. Cares. How.
Steve’s fingertips teasingly glide over the swell of your breasts, brush down your belly, and tick their way in a casual walk between your legs.
β€œMaybe I should leave you wondering how it’ll all play out, leave you wondering if I’ll ever touch you again, wondering if…”
β€œYes,” you breathe.

a/n: Tentatively planning to have this done to post on Sunday since the original was a 'Sweet Sunday' ask. Per usual, don't quote me on that, but I got a huge chunk done today which was likely the hardest part. Thank you to all those who sent messages of support! I won't let you down 🫑

β€œI.. I don’t think I can do this.” You sighed into your comms. Everywhere you looked, you felt as if people were staring at you, as if they knew. The loud music was making your heart thump loudly and your body was covered with a sheen of sweat.
The skirt you were wearing was too tight unlike any of your usual comfortable clothes, and the high heels were making it difficult to move around too. You leaned heavily on the wall as you spoke into the earpiece. β€œI’m sorry..”
β€œHey, no! Listen to me. You can do this! Fury chose you for a reason, and that reason is that he believes in you.” The moment you heard Steve’s voice from the other end, you huffed out a breath of relief. Everything was going to be alright.
β€œI can do this! Yeah. I can.. I have to.!” You mumbled to yourself more than Steve. β€œI know you can, you’re the best we have.” You knew Steve was just saying that to make you feel better, yet you felt a flutter of pride. β€œPlease just be with me.”
β€œI’m with you all the way through. Don’t worry.” Steve’s voice had a pleasant tone to it which made it hard to not believe him. You knew he was miles away from you and you were technically alone in this den, but still your tension was a little alleviated. β€œThank you. I’ll… I’ll try my best.”
After giving yourself a little pep talk, you started walking towards the dance floor with a determination you didn’t know you had. You weaved your way through the sweaty bodies to finally reach the place you were meant to be.
You tried your best to awkwardly shake your hands so as to not stand out amongst the mass of bodies. You grunted with annoyance as someone’s hand accidentally hit you while dancing, but before you could even give it a thought, you saw your targets.
Alexander Pierce
Brock Rumlow
Bucky Barnes
β€œAll three of them are here.” You confirmed in your earpiece as you saw them descend down the stairs. Of course they had private rooms upstairs to do their business, and you nearly cursed as they looked as if they were saying goodbyes. β€œShit! They’re leaving. Should I follow them?”
Though you asked with a chipper tone, you were terribly nervous at the aspect of following them. You were a simple analyst with a desk job working for SHIELD until a few days back when Fury called you into his office and assigned you an undercover mission.
You were confused at first, because to your knowledge, shield didn’t have any lack of highly trained spies. But after taking you under confidence, Fury had informed you that more than half the organisation had been compromised and only people he could really trust, were you and Steve.
It was no news that Pierce’s gang ruled New York, but now he owned the government too. He was the judge, jury and executioner. Your mission was simple to put in words, get as close to Pierce as you can. Fury had stated with such an ease as if he wasn’t sending you into a hungry lion’s den. οΏΌ
But despite all your shortcomings and doubts, you still accepted the mission. Fury and Steve were like family to you and you knew that you could trust them blindly. The three of you had your own tiny group outside of work and you would put your life down for them, just as they would for you.
β€œNo. Stay where you are, following them would be risky.” Steve’s voice was stern. β€œOkay Captain.” You giggled. Your eyes keenly followed their moves as they laughed and shook hands as if they didn’t have the blood of so many people staining their hands. Bastards.
β€œWait!..” you whispered into the comms. While Pierce and Rumlow exited the pub, Bucky Barnes stayed back. Gladly, he sat not very far from you and ordered something to drink. β€œBarnes is staying back. Rumlow and Pierce left.”
As if on cue, Bucky’s eyes met yours for a brief second and you quickly turned around. You started walking through the crowd once again to avoid showing yourself. β€œOhmygod Ohmygod!! He saw me. Steve! He saw me..” you nearly screamed.
β€œIt’s okay! Calm down. He doesn’t know who you are. And isn’t that like the whole point why you’re there? Hello,.. are you there?” You gulped and took in a deep breath before answering. β€œYes, you’re right. I’m sorry I’m freaking out. But I can’t help it,.. I’m not trained enough for this and I don’t know if I’m capable…”
β€œYou’re more than capable for this. And I know it because I’m the one who trained you, so don’t question me.” You didn’t know how, but if there was someone in this world who could ease all your worries, it was Steve. β€œThank you. I mean, I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
β€œNow pretend as if you’re dancing with the flow and go back to keep an eye on him.” You followed what Steve told you and found yourself right in front of Bucky. β€œIs he still there?” Steve asked. β€œYes. He’s with a woman.” You said wiping the sweat off your forehead.
β€œWhat’s he doing?” You gave out a long exhale before replying. β€œWell, he has his tongue down her throat.” You deadpanned and Steve chuckled on the other end. You pretended to dance and second guessed all your choices as Bucky did nothing much other than make out with the woman on his hand.
You were about to complain to Steve about how boring this actually was when something caught your eye. A man dressed in dark clothes, but definitely not the bouncer was staring at Bucky almost just as intently as you. You pushed aside a dancing group to take a better look at that man and your suspicions were confirmed.
β€œSteve.. I think something’s about to happen.” You whipped your head around and saw another man in a similar outfit and posture standing in attention at Bucky’s other side. You observed that both of their hands were undoubtedly holding weapons and you gulped in realisation. β€œWhat?”
β€œBucky’s about to get murdered.”
β€œWhat?!” This what was much different than its predecessor as Steve nearly lost his cool. β€œWhat do you mean by that?” Steve sounded almost panicked. β€œThere are two men, I mean at least I’ve seen two. And both of them are definitely armed and are closing in on Barnes.”
β€œShit!.. you have to do something.” Steve’s reply was frantic. β€œSteve, what the hell do you mean by that? What am I gonna do? Fight them with my nonexistent skills? And isn’t it good if Bucky dies?” You snarled. β€œNO! It’s not.” With the way Steve sounded, you were sure he must be running his fingers through his hair, frustratedly.
β€œListen, go close to Bucky and tell him about this.” You nearly snorted out at Steve’s solution. β€œAnd what, blow my cover? Are you kidding me? I can’t go in there and tell him there are people following him and I know that because I’m following him too.” You sassed back.
β€œYou’re smarter than that, okay. Just go and tell him and he’ll handle the rest.” You didn’t understand why Steve cared so much. β€œBut…” before you could continue, Steve barked back. β€œIt’s an order.” You resisted the urge to curse him and instead just grumbled to yourself. β€œOkay.”
Your palms were sweaty as you walked up to Barnes. You might not be trained for combat, but you were smart, after all you worked as an analyst. You had already started making up a lame excuse in your head and you just hoped that it worked.
You cleared your throat as you reached Bucky’s seat, but the music was so loud, that even you didn’t hear that almost. β€œUmm,.. can I talk to you for a second?” Now that caught Bucky’s attention. He looked a little annoyed at you disturbing him, but even in the dim neon lights of the club, Bucky Barnes looked gorgeous.
His blue eyes were nearly sparkling and his shapely lips were wet. His cheekbones were sharp and his stubble made him look rugged. He raised his eyebrow at you when you didn’t speak and you forced your brain to get back online. You hate Bucky, you recited in your head.
β€œActually, sir, I work here and one of the policies we maintain is that everyone feels safe and welcome over here. But your men are.. umm, intimidating and honestly a little scary looking and it’s putting off a few customers.” You used a sickly sweet tone and he scoffed at your words.
β€œDoll, I own this place, you can’t.… wait what men?” It was as if his head started working halfway through the sentence. He sat up straight, the girl besides him forgotten. You pointed over to the men with your eyes and Bucky followed your direction.
You were glad that your reverse tactic of informing him worked and you mentally high-fived yourself. Bucky clenched his jaw and stood up, but instead of just leaving or taking action, he curled his arm around your waist. β€œLook ahead and take me to the back door.” He murmured into your ear.
Bucky was Pierce’s second in command, and you didn’t have it in yourself to deny him. You gulped and prayed as you led him through the flashing club. His eyes were behind as he tracked the people following him. His grip on you was tight and you could smell his perfume this close.
Cool air hit your face the instant you opened the door. Bucky followed you out as the door snapped shut, but instead of walking away, he snatched you back and hid along the wall on the side of the door hinges. He retrieved his gun and you gawked at the way his entire body was strung tight like a tiger waiting to pounce.
You waited for some more time, but when no one followed you out, you finally relaxed. Bucky didn’t speak a word as he took your wrist and began heading towards the parking. β€œWait!” You stopped him from going further. β€œWhere are you taking me?”
β€œI’m not going to hurt you, doll. I promise. I just wanted to talk to you.” His face looked so genuine that you nearly wanted to believe him. β€œYou don’t take people to parking lots just to talk to them. Whatever it is, just speak here.” You stubbornly said.
β€œThis is something private, doll and I was thinking my car would give us some privacy.” You shook your head and folded your hands. β€œNope. I know you wanna thank me, you’re welcome. Goodbye.” You turned around but Bucky snatched your hand. β€œWait. We’ll talk here, okay?” You gave a small nod.
β€œI’ll pay you five times whatever you get here, I just need you to work for me.” Bucky shrugged. β€œWhat do you even mean by that?” You asked incredulously. β€œYou seem like a real smart girl, and you see, there are people out there trying to get me killed. But you don’t need to do much, you just have to become my eyes.”
β€œI’m still not getting it.” Bucky somehow looked even better in the moonlight, but you stopped yourself from thinking that. β€œI can’t keep an eye over everything and neither can I carry my men around to watch over me. But I can always have you around as my plus one, especially in situations like this.”
β€œSorry, but I can’t do that.” You huffed out. β€œAccept the offer.” You shrieked as you heard Steve’s voice before realising that you still had your earpiece on. β€œAre you okay?” concern was etched over Bucky’s face at your sudden scream. β€œYeah,, yeah, I’m fine.”
β€œWhat about ten times the pay?” Bucky seemed really hell bent on getting you to work for him. But before you could deny again, you heard Steve again. β€œSay yes. If you get with him you’ll get a pass for their meetings and that’s exactly what we want!”
This, right here, was your mission. Getting as close to as them as you could. All of this was just stupid luck, if you hadn’t seen those men, you wouldn’t have informed Bucky, and then you wouldn’t have to be doing this, but maybe this was just the way it was all meant to be.
β€œYes. I’ll work for you.” You tried downplaying all the emotions running through your head. β€œSee I knew you’d agree doll.” His face scrunched up and you thought that he wasn’t just handsome, he was cute too. Yeah, you were in trouble. β€œJust one thing, don’t call me doll.”
β€œSure, kitten.”

Lily James and Sebastian Stan Reportedly Cast in Secrets & Wives
Tumblr media
Lily James and Sebastian Stan have reportedly joined the cast of Focus Features’ period film β€˜Secrets & Wives.’ The movie, helmed by Carly Wray, is scheduled to start shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, and Vancouver, British Columbia, on an undisclosed date. The film, set in the 1980s rural Washington state, revolves around a single working mother named Sherry, who is swept off her feet by a charismatic, larger-than-life outsider named Martin Lewis. They run off and get married, only for hell to break loose. Sherry’s life gets turned upside down when it’s revealed that Martin is a married ex-gangster.
Lily and Stan are expected to play Sherry and Martin respectively. The two performers previously worked together for Hulu’s biographical series β€˜Pam & Tommy,’ in which Lily plays actress and model Pamela Anderson and Stan portrays musician Tommy Lee.
Lily recently completed the filming of Sam Worthington and Riz Ahmed-starrer β€˜Relay’ and Joseph Gordon-Levitt-starrer β€˜Providence.’ Her upcoming release β€˜The Iron Claw,’ starring Zac Efron and β€˜The Bear’ fame Jeremy Allen White, is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2023. Her recent credits include Josephine Esperanto in β€˜Finally Dawn,’ Zoe Stevenson in β€˜What’s Love Got to Do with It?’ Linda Radlett in β€˜The Pursuit of Love,’ and Ellie Appleton in β€˜Yesterday.’
Stan recently concluded the filming of β€˜A Different Man,’ in which he stars alongside Renate Reinsve. He is also a part of the cast of Marvel Studios’ β€˜Thunderbolts.’ His recent credits include Vlad Tenev in β€˜Dumb Money,’ God in β€˜Ghosted,’ Max in β€˜Sharper,’ Steve in β€˜Fresh,’ Nick Fowler in β€˜The 355,’ and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier in β€˜The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.’
Although the exact dates of the filming are yet to be announced, we can expect the same to begin after the conclusion of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. Atlanta, known as the Hollywood East, is home to several production facilities and natural attractions. The city previously hosted the production of several famed projects, including β€˜The Walking Dead,’ β€˜Stranger Things,’ β€˜Cobra Kai,’ β€˜Ozark,’ β€˜Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,’ etc. Vancouver AKA Hollywood North, on the other hand, is a significant filming location of β€˜Virgin River,’ β€˜Supernatural,’ β€˜Criminal Minds,’ β€˜The Last of Us,’ and β€˜Fear the Walking Dead.’
Wray, who is at the helm, also penned the screenplay. The screenwriter wrote several acclaimed episodes of AMC’s drama series β€˜Mad Men.’ She also co-wrote and co-executive produced HBO’s superhero series β€˜Watchmen’ and Max’s dystopian series β€˜DMZ.’ Her other credits include β€˜Westworld,’ β€˜Mindhunter,’ β€˜The Leftovers,’ β€˜The Bastard Executioner,’ and β€˜Constantine.’
Berlanti/Schechter Films, New Leaf Literary & Media, and Truly*Adventurous team up with Focus Features for the production of the film. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Michael McGrath, Pouya Shahbazian, Matthew Pearl, and Greg Nichols are the producers.

- Bucky Barnes x Reader
β€’ Angst
β€’ MAIN-MASTER-LIST
Tumblr media
Warnings: gore, violence, hinted panic attack, anxiety, grief, death, hints at possible depression and mania, severe guilt, mentions of child abuse, abuse (hydra related)
Synopsis: You had gone with Tony, Steve and Bucky to the Hydra facility, but end up fighting Tony to defend Bucky. While fighting Tony he blasts you in the eyes causing you to lose your sight and begin to bleed out - during this Bucky is remembering all the pain he has caused, but when he hears you calling for him he tries to get to you. Eventually you realise you are going to die, you remind Bucky of what you had said to him a long time ago. He refuses, but you beg and beg till finally he grants your dying wish.
A/n: -Set during Civil War -Starts in the middle of conflict -Y/n has powers that tear you apart atomΒ  by atom and in a senseΒ β€˜eats your soul’ to strengthen herΒ  powers -From Bucky’s POV
β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
I watched as Tony proceeded to attack everyone. The fire from his blasts caused my eyes to itch and burn. I pulled myself over to where Steve was fighting with Y/n. Squinting as I watched their blurry figures move.
I grew tired, my dead weight being pulled by my one normal arm. My hair dusted and swayed with their movements. My vision deterred even more than before. The pain in the back of my head increasing till it finally spread to the front.
Pressing my forehead to the cold dusty ground, till I rolled over wheezing out a breath. I stared up looking at the winding gridded stairs. My eyes’ never ending focusing and un-focusing.Β
I coughed as I waited for my sight to adjust. I could feel the tightening of wound on my face. The grime that scathed my skin. The cold air ruthlessly biting my skin.Β
Suddenly the room echoed with a bellowing scream. I rolled over, breathing heavily through my nose as pain shout through where Hydra had dug the metal arm into my skin. My blood fell, re-colouring my once dark clothes with an auburn.Β
I watched helplessly as the flashes of green on the metal man illuminated the hollow space. I could hear the way the metal ripped and teared. It screamed from with in as the atoms were being ripped from one another.Β
Y/n grunted as she twisted her wrists, smiling as she heard the familiar snap of an arm. Tony screamed as his head fell forward. She went to press her hand against his mouth. Ready to absorb his life force. She sighed in a sickening ecstasy enjoying the rush.
I squinted catching the way her eyes flickered to a deep illuminous green. There she was, the monster Hydra created. She has had many names over the years, Harbinger, Soul eater, Executioner. That’s what they saw. Not the woman who was dragged into a damp facility by her hair.
Thrown to the floor and forced to undergo experiments and tests until she wasΒ β€˜perfect’. They didn’t see the woman who would bandage the wounds on her arms or would cry and tell stories of all our moments after the damaged man she so idiotically loved got his memories removed.Β
They don’t tell stories of the little girl who was locked in small storage cupboards or a chained shut freezer. Or the woman who would cry in her cell due to the dark because it would take her back to the ripe age of seven, bleeding fingers from trying to claw her way out.Β
They don’t know the woman who would brush her fingers softly over my scarred skin however, each and every time I could feel it in the fibre of my being. Or would hold my hand through the bars when they were lucky and their rooms were conjoined. No. To them she was a monster, no feelings, no soul - only the ones of those she had devoured for her own enjoyment. But to me...to me she was beautiful. Green eyes or not.
I watched saddened by the way her body took enjoyment, but her heart eroded each and every time. I knew my fingers would brush soothingly against her back tonight as I whisper in her ear that it will all be okay. Is that the truth?Β
I looked over to Steve seeing the way he used his shield to hold himself up, panting as he tried to catch his breath. He picked my side over his team-mate’s. He picked the side of a man’s he didn’t even know was alive until a couple of years ago over his new friend.
They are here because of me. Because I am a problem. I am always a problem. I got captured during the war, then Hydra. I became the Winter Soldier and killed hundreds, killed thousands. Then I feel in love only to get my mind wiped every time and fall in love again. Then I put not only my friend in danger, but also start a war between him and Tony, I also put my girl in danger.Β
I can’t get anything right. I can’t do anything good. My hands are bloodied and red. Stained with the blood of those I have killed. I felt the familiar twist in my stomach, the sped up beat of my heart drumming to the uneven breath that is squeezed and contorted from my lungs.
I stared down at my hand. Turning it and turning it. Flipping it palm to back, palm to back. Turning and flipping. Turning and flipping. Yet, no matter how much I looked it still dripped with over flowing crimson, till I bathed in a pool of my sins. Choking down the bile I staggered to an unsteady stand.Β
Slowly I spun in circles. My boots growing muddied with the fruit of life. My body rocked, and suddenly the floor was a cold grey once again. A familiar voice fading in and out. I can’t see!” My face scrunched in confusion as I continued to look down.
β€œBucky I can’t see! I can’t see!” I lifted my head turning around. The wind was knocked out of me as I saw her body curled up on the floor.Β β€œBucky!” I staggered to her. Dragging my feet. I collapsed my knee smacking against the floor. I payed no mind to it. Returning to drag myself over to her. Straining to reach her vulnerable positioned body.
I pushed myself up, pressing my hand into the middle of her back comfortingly. I felt her jolt under my touch,Β β€œY/n?” I breathed harshly through my nose feeling the throbbing pain in the muscle of my arm and the ache of dragging myself across the floor. Still feeling the way my blood rand down my torso and the dried red droplets tightened on my faces.
β€œBucky?” She whispered. She moved to turn, hesitating before she finally did. This was worse than the pool. I sucked in a breath as I looked at herΒ β€˜eyes’. My heart was in my throat,, as I looked at where her eyes should be. My own wondered over the still, sizzling burning skin.Β
Blood dripped down her cheeks, the skin around her socket sizzled as it turned a burnt brown, where as her eyes were matted closed by the melted flesh. Glued shut.Β β€œBucky, I can’t see I’m scared,” she whimpered.
I pulled her into me softly. Resting her head against my steady, aching chest. My heart beat to fast to function.Β β€œIt hurts, it hurts,” she wailed.Β Crying, but just more damn blood fell.Β
I pressed my lips to the top of her head rocking us slowly.Β β€œIt’s going to be okay, you’re going to be okay,” I spoke into her hair. Feeling the way it grew damp with my own tears.Β β€œYou’ll be okay.” I was meant to be soothing her not convincing myself.Β
β€œAm I going to die?” She spoke carefully. Wincing as she looked up at my face. Bloodied skin boring holes into mine. I sighed, I shut my eyes remembering her face, her smile. She won’t ever be able to see.
β€œNo baby. You won’t die,” I breathed deeply through nose, placing my cheek on top of her soft hair. I ran my thumb over the skin of her arm.
β€œBut I’m going to, you just won’t let me,” she laughed, deranged and deprived. Her hand met my thigh. I ignored the way her fingers fumbled and popped the button of my knife holster. She grabbed the handle.Β
Reaching with her other hand she grabbed mine. Bringing my knuckles to her lips before placing the handle of the knife into my hand. I shook my head squeezing my eyes shut tighter,Β β€œNo I can’t. I won’t.” I refused.
β€œPlease,” she coughed ,”I don’t want to die like this. remember what I told you...” She slowly grew limper in my arms.Β β€œI said if I were to die I want to die in your arms by your hands, it brings me comfort to know someone I love offered me release from this corrupt world, but I’m glad I found you in it. So please?” Her voice was weak, a mere ear straining whisper.
She raised her hand to my face. Smiling as she rested it against my cheek. Revelling in the way her thumb brushed over the stubble she had only shaved a few days ago. Tears pooled in my eyes, clenching my teeth as I raised the knife over her chest.
I gingerly put my lips to her forehead. My eyes still closed, refusing to look at her face, My ears tuned out her incoherent whispers of pleads andΒ β€˜I love yous’. Blessing her with death’s kiss was my biggest fear, yet hear I am lips against her forehead, my last kiss to offer her. β€œI’m sorry, please forgive me.” More stomach churning whispers met her paling skin, falling upon rapidly growing death ears.Β
β€œI love you.” I pushed the knife into her chest. My eyes bursting open at the realisation, the unshed tears finally fell in burning masses as her her hand slipped from its resting place on my face. I looked up seeing Steve slamming his shield down into Tony’s suit. There it was. That was it. She was gone. Slipped through my fingers. More blood added to the overflowing pool I already was drowning in.
My eyes flicked down to see her already pale skin. Her mouth slightly agape when she had released her last breath. Her green curse - as she called it - danced around her fingers as it dissipated and fell short. I delicately lifted the double dog tags that resided on her chest up. My name engraved on the metal relic, I gently wrapped my hand around them pulling at them softly the chain broke from around her neck.
I lifted my cuffed fist to my lips kissing my fingers softly over where they sheltered the metal stained with her blood. I dropped them to the floor next to me looking back down at her.A sob broke through my dry lips echoing around me in a blanket of grief. Ripping my knife from her body throwing it away from us.
I cried I pulled her body up. Hugging her to me. Her head tipped back, her arms limp at her sides. Her cold skin against my warm.Β β€œI’m sorry, I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I-” My voice stopped as I felt a hand against my shoulder.Β β€œI’m sorry!” I continued to scream and shout, my voice growing hoarse.Β
β€œBuck-” I turned to Steve. A manic look in my strangely widened eyes. I could feel my mind becoming engulfed by maddening melancholy. I clawed at his arms as he pried her body from my arms with difficulty.Β
β€œPlease. Please give her back. Steve!” He looked at me for a second before looking at her face, pressing his fingers to where her pulse should be. He clicked the device in his ear. I watched, but didn’t hear. I just stared at her body.
β€œI loved her,” I sniffled whipped my nose with the back of my hand,Β β€œI loved her. I really did truly love her.” Steve moved over to stand in front of me, kneeling down to my dishevelled form.
β€œI know,” he placed a knowing hand onto my shoulder, looking down. He sighed breathing through his nose.Β β€œI know Buck.” He placed his hand onto the back of my head pulling me forward. I rested against his shoulder. His suit digging into the skin of my forehead.Β I noticed my dog tags on the floor.
Picking them up once again wrapping my hand tightly around them. They weren’t mine. They were a memory of Steve’s friend from the war and then they were hers and now. Now they are just a horrible reminder of what I’ve lost. A sadistic motivation. God I’m an idiot.
Blinded by love, now blindfolded by grief. Only fools fall in love and I was one of them, but I don’t regret it. I could never regret being in love with some one as beautiful as her.Β

It seems I am gathering an arsenal of rise of the TMNT fanfiction ideas but I do not have time to work on them all, so I am putting them into tumblrs hands as an executioner.
Here’s some mini synopsis’ I find silly billy.
I Am Not You: Leo and Leonardo are dead, or mostly dead. There’s a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead means one can be revived. -Leo hates himself, and that’s an issue. -includes a Casey and Master Leonardo final goodbye. -attempts to make it fit canon. 1 chapter, work in progress.
It’s the Apocalypse, but we can still have fun: My attempt to make a masterpiece. Ever wonder how Leo became Master Leonardo, we’ll here’s the start of the apocalypse and you get to see the process. -mix of fluff and angst. -includes my OC children. -Casey’s mysterious birth is revealed. -Raph’s not dead (yet). 1 chapter complete, chapter two is work in progress.
The Red Slider: Where Marvel and TMNT come to play, but there are no marvel characters I just stole Bucky Barnes backstory and gave it to Leo. -heavy angst. -post movie story. -despite the name the story is mostly focused on Donnie, Mikey, Raph, April and Casey. -Leo loses an arm no matter what. 2 chapters done and posted on a03 read it here. Chapter three in progress.
The Leonardo Project: Casey manages to pull Leonardo through the portal with him, but unfortunately, Mikey sent them further back than they thought. -the timeline does a flip and lands on its head. -ultimate father-son bonding. -just a silly lil idea. -very very open to audience participation so if you want to help me write the story let me know!! I have 2 short chapters. Chapter Three is being worked on.
Uncommon Swaps AU: All the brothers grow up separated. Donnie is raised by Splinter, Leo is raised by Big Mama, Mikey is raised alongside Cassandra in the Foot Clan, and Raph is raised by Draxum. I have a little bit about this AU but haven’t posted much. See it here! 0 chapters, but I’m willing to ride.
Thank you for your time😊

Chapter 10 - Reunited
Supreme Intelligence Temple, Hala, Capital of Kree Civilization - April 2025
Zogg-Larn walked quickly up the steps of the Supreme Intelligence Temple. It was quite early in the morning when Supreme Intelligence summoned him through his communicator. He wondered if there was some kind of emergency. He hoped not. He was hoping to get a bit of rest that day after a particularly tiring mission the other day. But everything seemed to point to a different outcome for that day.
He took a deep breath as he arrived in the center of the temple. He stepped on the hexagonal shape on the floor and soon strings of blue light came out of the floor and connected to his temple and fingers.
When he opened his eyes he saw himself, but older and with greying hair. Yes, he admired no one else but himself. It was fitting too. He was the best General in the Kree military. No other Kree was as good as he was.
"Supreme Intelligence." Zogg-Larn bowed in respect.
"Zogg-Larn. I just received a footage from our spy on earth. I want to show it to you and you can tell me whether you see what I see." Supreme Intelligence said coldly, staring at Zogg-Larn with piercing blue eyes. He seemed to be trying hard to contain his anger. Zogg-Larn's heart started to beat faster in his chest. He wondered if he did something wrong that had upset Supreme Intelligence. He didn't say anything but just nodded.
Supreme Intelligence swiped his hand in front of him and suddenly a scene from what seemed to be an event on earth appeared. Zogg-Larn studied the earthlings on the screen, wondering what Supreme Intelligence was trying to show him. Male and female earthlings graced the screen wearing beautiful clothes. In the background was a large picture of earth's heroes, The Avengers. The earthlings seemed to be taking pictures in front of it. Suddenly he noticed someone among the earthlings. Someone who was supposed to be dead. James Buchanan Barnes! How could he still be alive?! He saw with his own eyes that his laser shot had left a hole on his chest, leaving him dead. He was sure he was dead when he left him.Β
"So, Zogg-Larn. Can you tell me what you see?" Supreme Intelligence asked.
"Supreme Intelligence. I see James Buchanan Barnes." he replied, his head bowed in shame.
"Yes, I see him too. You told me he was dead Zogg-Larn. If he was dead, then why is he still there?!" Supreme Intelligence gestured his hand towards the screen, his voice raised in anger.
"I'm sorry Supreme Intelligence. I.. I sent you the scan of the man I killed. He looked just like James Buchanan Barnes. So I thought it was him that I killed. But it seems I have mistaken." Zogg-Larn said, cowering in fear.
Supreme Intelligence could be so cruel in giving punishments to anyone who made a mistake. But it was him who usually was the executioner of the punishment, not the one receiving the punishment. So it shocked him that he finally did something wrong. He didn't think he could tarnish his perfect reputation.
"You have mistaken indeed Zogg-Larn. You have disappointed me greatly." Supreme Intelligence said as he swiped his hand and the scene in front of them disappeared.
"I deeply apologize, Supreme Intelligence. I was in error." Zogg-Larn said as he knelt on the floor and bowed his head.
"All these years you have never failed me Zogg-Larn. You always deliver on what I asked of you to do. And you did them without question. Which I appreciate. That's why I'm giving you a second chance. Find James Buchanan Barnes and really kill him this time. Bring his dead body to me. If the person you killed really is James Buchanan Barnes, then I'll accept your apology and you can continue to be my executioner. But if you fail, be prepared to be the hunted for the first time in your life." Supreme Intelligence threatened as he pulled Zogg-Larn's chin up to face him.
"Yes, Supreme Intelligence. I will not disappoint you." Zogg-Larn nodded as he looked up at Supreme Intelligence's scary blue eyes.
"Bring some of your subordinates this time. Don't go alone. Make sure he really is dead." Supreme Intelligence said as he released Zogg-Larn's chin.
"Yes, Supreme Intelligence." Zogg-Larn nodded, his eyes gazed back down to the floor, not daring to look at Supreme Intelligence right on the face.
"One more thing Zogg-Larn. I just received word that Yon-Rogg's beacon on his ship was detected somewhere on Torfa. It seems he's not dead like we previously thought he was. Go there and investigate. If you find him, bring him to me, dead or alive." Supreme intelligence said.
"Very well, Supreme Intelligence." Zogg-Larn responded and he bowed in respect.
"You are now dismissed." Supreme Intelligence finally said. He was then gone in a blink of an eye.
Zogg-Larn closed his eyes and when he opened it again the streaming blue lights retracted from his fingers and temples and was quickly gone into the hexagonal shape on the floor. He turned around and went out of the temple. He needed to gather his team in preparation for this new mission. He swore he wouldn't fail again. He would kill James Buchanan Barnes and his perfect record would be restored. If he could also find Yon-Rogg and bring him to Supreme Intelligence, then it would be the icing on the cake.

Torfa, Outskirts of Magellanic Cloud - May 2025
"Adriana?" Bucky said, his eyes widened in surprise as he saw the familiar face of the love of his life - the one who had colored his dreams with beauty and happiness as well as sadness and anguish - the one his heart longed for, always and forever.
Was she a mirage? Was she a figment of his imagination? He blinked several times fully expecting her to be gone, but when he opened his eyes, there she still was, the love of his life.
"Who's Adriana?" The person answered, confusion apparent on her face.
See, it couldn't be her. He thought. Adriana was long gone. He saw her exploded in the sky with his own eyes. This person.. she must be just a look-a-like, a doppelganger, like Sebastian was to Bucky. Bucky thought, shaking his head.
"Never mind, I thought you were someone else." He replied.
The person walked closer to him and extended her hand. Bucky put the revolver in his hand back into the holster on his back and took her hand with his vibranium hand. The moment their hands touched, her eyes widened in shock and she glanced at his vibranium hand. Then she looked up to gaze at his eyes, her eyebrows furrowed as she searched his eyes. He found her eyes to be so similar to Adriana's. He felt like the person was Adriana. But how could she be?
"Are you okay?" She finally broke the silence and pulled him up.
"Yeah, I'm okay." He said as he slowly stood up.
Once he was standing up she dropped his hand from her hold, then she looked up at him. Looking down at her he couldn't help but notice that this girl was even the same height as Adriana. The universe really worked in mysterious ways. She was like an identical twin of Adriana's. He still couldn't wrap his mind around it.
Her eyes continued to stare at him, studying him. For a split second Bucky could see recognition in her eyes, but suddenly her eyes darted around them in anxiety. Bucky's heart dropped to his stomach as he looked up and saw the situation they were in. About ten hyena like creatures had appeared and surrounded them. They walked slowly towards them, growling and baring their teeth.
Adriana and Bucky turned around, facing the hyenas, their backs facing each other's. Bucky slowly pulled his revolver out from the holster on his back and pointed it towards the hyenas.
"The smell of death must have attracted them." Adriana whispered as they walked slowly in circles.
Bucky continued to stare at the hyenas, wondering if they could outrun them or whether they needed to slaughter them all.
"Should I shoot?" Bucky asked with a low voice.
"Shoot?" Adriana asked.
"Yeah, with this gun. This can wound or even kill them." Bucky explained, beckoning towards the revolver in his hand.
"No.. no.. wait." Adriana replied.
The hyenas stopped moving and bared their teeth at them, seemingly also waiting for them to make the first move. All of a sudden one of the hyenas launched itself at Adriana. Bucky quickly shot it before it got the chance to reach her and it fell down to the ground. The other hyenas launched themselves at Bucky. He shot them as much as he could but they continued attacking him. While Bucky was dealing with them Adriana took the opportunity to pull out her spear from the dead Pentatigra. She then used it to hit and attack the hyenas who were coming at her fast. She continued to twirl her spear, hitting and puncturing the hyenas while Bucky continued to shoot them and used his vibranium arm to deliver punches at them. Soon all ten of the hyenas were lying on the ground, lifeless.
"That was close." Bucky said, panting hard as he tried to catch his breath.
"That was just the beginning. A pack of them usually consists more than 10, maybe up to 30. The others must be close. We have to go now." Adriana said and she quickly ran towards the edge of the forest with Bucky running next to her.
As they ran they heard the unmistakable sound of more growls behind them. Bucky looked back for a second and his eyes widened as he saw more and more hyenas came running after them. They quickened their running pace and finally reached the sandy area near the ocean. They continued to run, passing the ocean and headed to more barren land, back to where Bucky left his pod, but the hyenas were fast. Some of them had managed to come close to them. Bucky had to run while shooting at them. As the hyenas ran even closer to them Bucky ran and jumped up high. When he landed, he hit his vibranium arm to the ground. He then directed his vibranium arm towards the hyenas, shooting amplified kinetic energy from his palm. All the hyenas flew back then fell to the ground, motionless.
"You couldn't have done that earlier?" Adriana asked, standing next to him as they looked at the unconscious hyenas. Bucky laughed out loud.
"What? What is it?" Adriana asked, looking up at him, confused at his sudden laughter.
"Nothing. I just.. remember saying the same thing to a friend of mine during a battle." Bucky replied, referring to the time he said the same thing to Sam way back when the Avengers had a bit of an internal fight because of him.
"Oh okay. Come on, we better go. They might wake up at any moment." Adriana said, beckoning her head away from the hyenas towards where Bucky had left his pod.
"Right." Bucky nodded and they walked side by side, their feet trudging along on the bluish sand underneath them.
"Where are we going?" Bucky asked after they stayed silent for a while.
"I'm taking you to my house. We should be safe there." Adriana said.
"Oh okay. Is it far? Because I think we're also going to the place where I left my pod." he said.
"Your pod?" Adriana asked.
"Yes, it's like a small ship. I used it to get here." he responded.
"Oh, right. So, where are you from?" she asked.
"I'm from earth." he replied.
Adriana stopped in her tracks, her eyes widened as she turned and stared at him.
"What?" Bucky asked, stopping as well.
"Do you.. do you know me?" she asked.
"What? I.. I don't understand what you mean." he asked. Why would she ask something like that? He wondered. Unless..
"I'm sorry. Earlier you called me by someone else's name. And you're from earth. So, I thought just maybe.. maybe you might have known me. Because.. I have no memory of my past." she explained. Bucky's heart seemed to stop in his chest as he listened to her. Could she really be Adriana?
He was just about to respond when they could hear yet again the growls of the hyenas behind them. They apparently had regained consciousness and were angry and even more ferocious having been attacked by Bucky.
"Come on!" Adriana grabbed his hand and they ran quickly as the hyenas started to appear behind them.
They finally reached the place where Bucky left his pod, where there were rows and rows of stone structures, but his pod was gone.
"It's gone!" Bucky stopped running as he looked at the place where his pod was supposed to be.
"No time to look for it now. Come on, we have to get to safety." Adriana dragged him towards one of the stone structures as several of the hyenas caught up with them.
Bucky pulled out his revolver and started shooting at the hyenas as they ran to one of the stone structures. Adriana stopped in front the stone structure and touched it on multiple spots while Bucky still faced the hyenas, shooting at them relentlessly.
"Come on.. come on.." Adriana said to herself as she waited for the entrance to Lyra to be opened.
The hyenas were getting really close to them now. Bucky continued to shoot at them but he unfortunately ran out of bullets.
"D**n it!" he cursed.
One of the hyenas got really close to them and launched itself at him just as the entrance to Lyra was opened. Adriana pushed Bucky into the entrance just as Bucky threw a knife at the hyena. His knife successfully struck the hyena's stomach, making it stop and dropped onto the ground just as the entrance to Lyra was closed and left him and Adriana in the dark.

Earlier in Torfa - May 2025
Yon-Rogg's boots left foot prints on the bluish sand as he made his way from out of the cave back towards the forest. He was supposed to start patrolling the east side of the planet an hour ago, but he was busy tinkering with the anti-gravity device he found on the abandoned ship he found months ago. Whoever the ship used to belong to seemed to be a Kree. Or at least, someone who had connections to the Kree. Because the anti-gravity device he found on the ship was made by the Kree. He had used the same kind of device more often than he could count when he was still Commander of the Starforce. The device was broken but he had some experience in fixing it. He had spent several days tinkering with it and that day he finally finished. He brought it with him on his shift hoping to be able to test it to pick up large boulders or something.
He stopped in his tracks when he looked up to find a small ship stranded on the sand. He wore the anti-gravity device on his wrist then pulled out his sword from its sheath on his waist. He slowly approached the ship, putting his sword up in front of him, ready for anything that might come out from it. As he came closer to it he realized the ship was empty. He looked around, still holding his sword up, but he couldn't see anyone or anything around him. He finally put his sword back in its sheath and had a brilliant idea. He turned on the anti-gravity device on his wrist and directed it towards the ship. A blue beam shot out from the device and surrounded the ship. He then pushed some buttons on the device and moved his hand up slowly. The ship slowly hovered in the air following the movements of his hand.
"Yes!" he exclaimed in delight.
He looked around again and decided to bring the ship back to his cave which had functioned like a garage lately. Whoever the ship belonged to, he or she was not around. Besides, as a security officer of Torfa, he needed to check for any anomalies happening around the planet, including this stranded ship. He needed to study it and figure out who it belonged to. Whoever it belonged to might pose a threat to the people of Torfa.
Several minutes later Yon-Rogg successfully took the ship and put it next to the first abandoned ship he found. The ship was really small. It only fit one person. It was so small compared to the other ship.
He took off the anti-gravity device on his wrist, set it aside, then picked up another device. This time he picked up something he miraculously built himself from scraps he could find in Lyra. The device was like a small rectangular computer with a touch screen. It was about ten by eight inches in size. It was small and thin yet consisted of advanced technology that could help him in doing just about anything.
He pointed it towards the ship and a blue beam came out of it. The device then started scanning the ship. Soon a scanned image of the ship was shown on his device's screen. A blueprint of the ship and some information of it was shown underneath it. Yon-Rogg's eyes widened as he read the information of the ship. The ship was manufactured on earth!
His heart beat so fast in his chest as he tried to open the ship's door. After studying the ship more and trying several combinations on his device's screen, he finally pushed the right combination and the ship's door slowly opened, revealing nothing inside.
He put his device down and inspected the inside of the ship. He decided to try turning the monitor in front of the ship and see what else he could find about the ship. He got into the ship, sitting down on the only seat in it, and started to push some buttons. The monitor in front of him suddenly flickered to life, showing several menus on the screen. He studied the writing on the screen. Thankfully he knew a little about earth's alphabets so he could understand what was written on the screen.
He suddenly had an idea. He had been curious whether or not Zogg-Larn had succeeded in killing James Buchanan Barnes. Using the abandoned ship's communication device he had tried to connect to the Kree's and earth's database but was only successful in connecting to the Kree's database. He successfully hacked into Kree's military server to find Zogg-Larn's mission report, but he couldn't find anything there about James Buchanan Barnes. It seemed the mission was highly classified or even so secret that it was not officially recorded.
Yon-Rogg jumped out from the ship and grabbed his device. He then went back inside the ship. He pushed some buttons on his device's screen then pointed it to the ship's monitor. A blue beam shot out from his device and covered the entirety of the screen, signifying that he had successfully connected his device to the ship's computer. After some time setting his device, he successfully connected his device to earth's biggest information database, which was what they called the internet.
He swiped on his device's screen and opened a search engine. Then he started typing James Buchanan Barnes' name on the search form on the screen. He waited while the universal translator on his device finished translating the search results. After several seconds, a list of information about him appeared on the screen. He scrolled down and tapped on the top most article. It was about a movie premiere held about a month ago. Apparently a movie was made about the Kree invasion on earth and The Avengers' involvement in helping the people of earth won against the Kree. He shook his head in disbelief as he continued reading the article. He felt so ashamed as a Kree to know that their enemy was making a movie about their defeat. Something that could humiliate them forever.
Ignoring the feeling of unease in his heart, he continued reading the article and his eyes widened as he read the name of The Avengers that attended the premiere. James Buchanan Barnes was on the list! So he was still alive, he thought. It was strange to him because usually Supreme Intelligence would have ordered General Zogg-Larn, the Kree military's best General and executioner to hunt him down and kill him. Wasn't it the last thing Supreme Intelligence mentioned to him? That he was going to send someone else to hunt James Buchanan Barnes down and kill him? He wondered if there was a problem in the Kree military that prevented Zogg-Larn to kill James.
He tapped back to the search engine's results and continued to scroll down. Maybe there were more information that he could find about James. He scrolled and scrolled the screen but couldn't find anything of interest. He already knew he was called the Winter Soldier and was a super soldier who had a metal arm. He also knew he worked with the Avengers. He then opened some titles which seemed to explain more about his background before he became the Avengers. One title piqued his interest. It was an article about the Winter Soldier's dark past as Hydra's assassin.
He read the article and his eyes widened in surprise when he saw a name he was familiar with listed as one of Winter Soldier's victims. John Weaver. Was this John related to Adriana? He thought curiously. He then closed the article and typed John Weaver and Adriana Weaver on the search form. Several articles came out but one he was interested in was a military record of John Weaver. He opened it and skimmed through it until he found the list of John Weaver's family names. Adriana was one of the names listed! James Buchanan Barnes had killed Adriana's father?! The man was apparently worse than he thought. He wondered if Adriana knew. But, if she knew why would she stay with him and even accepted to be married to him? She must have not known about it. He concluded.
He was still pondering the damaging information, something he could definitely use in the future should the need arise, when he suddenly heard static and someone's voice came out from the speaker near the monitor.
"Bucky.. Bucky! Are you okay? Status report, please." a heavy male sound could be heard.
Bucky? Could he mean James Buchanan Barnes? Yon-Rogg's heart dropped to his stomach. So, he was really still alive! And this ship belong to him!
"Bucky.. a Kree ship just appeared near us. I don't know what it's doing here, but we better go. If you don't respond immediately we're going to have to come down and find you. Please respond, Buck." the voice pleaded.
"Sam, the Kree noticed us. There are two more of them. We have to go now!" another male voice could be heard.
"But we can't leave Bucky behind!" a female voice could be heard.
"We'll come back for him but we have to go and at least lose the Kree's trail now." the second male voice said.
"Buck! Just reply us as soon as you can. We're going to try to lose this Kree's trail then we'll come back for you. Hang in there okay, buddy." the first male voice said.
Suddenly he could hear an explosion coming out of the speaker. Their voices were then gone in an instant, leaving only static.
So James Buchanan Barnes was the owner of the ship, and he didn't come alone. But the most pressing thing was that a Kree ship was here! He needed to find out more.
He tapped some buttons on his device, searching for the Kree's communication frequency. Soon he could hear another voice coming out of the monitor's speaker. A voice he dreaded to hear. It was the voice of Zogg-Larn.
"Good job Am-Rel. They shouldn't be able to go too far with that damage on their ship. Follow me, James Buchanan Barnes might be on board that ship. Ka-Loss, follow the signal coming from the beacon on Yon-Rogg's ship and investigate." Zogg-Larn said.
Yon-Rogg's heart beat faster in his chest. Supreme Intelligence finally found them! He thought his ship was destroyed completely, but apparently the beacon must have survived somehow. He was so stupid not to check it months ago.
"Roger that, General." a male Kree voice could be heard.
"Yes, General." another male Kree voice could be heard.
Then the speaker went silent.
Yon-Rogg turned his device off and quickly got out of his cave. He needed to get Una and himself to safety. They needed to get away from Torfa before Zogg-Larn or James Buchanan Barnes found them.
-----
Entrance to Lyra, Torfa - May 2025
Somehow Bucky found himself lying down on the ground with Adriana on top of him. He couldn't see anything because it was very dark. His breath hitched as he felt her quick breaths right on top of his nose. Time seemed to stop as they felt each other's presence in the dark.
Slowly Bucky could make out her eyes, staring down at him. He saw recognition again in her eyes. His heart pounded so fast as they continued to gaze at each other. He could feel nothing and see nothing but her. He could feel her chest on top of his, moving up and down as she breathed. He could feel her hands holding the sides of his arms tightly. He could feel her thighs touching his own. She felt so familiar. He swore he could even smell Adriana's unique scent coming from her even though it wasn't layered with the usual apple scent Adriana always had. Could she really be Adriana? He wondered as his heart continued to gallop fast in his chest.
The chamber they were in suddenly glowed blue and Adriana slowly removed herself from on top of him. She extended her hand and pulled him up. She then released his hand and started pushing on what looked like glowing runes on the chamber's wall. The chamber moved downwards all of a sudden, making Bucky lost his footing a bit. Adriana reached out and held his hand, helping to steady him.
"Thanks." he said, blushing a little.
"You're welcome." she smiled and let his hand go.
They stayed silent all the way down. Bucky was much too shocked about everything that he was really speechless. He stared straight ahead as the chamber continued to move downwards. Suddenly he felt something covering his body. Adriana had taken her robe off and put it on him.
"You might want to hide a little. The natives don't exactly look like you and me." Adriana said.
Bucky nodded. She continued to pull the hood of the robe up so it covered his head, then tightened the tie around his neck so the robe covered his upper body completely. Bucky's heart continued to beat fast in his chest as he stared down at her. He could feel it - a spark of life in his soul that had been extinguished for far too long started to light up again. All because of her. Who was she? Could she really be Adriana? He pondered.
The chamber suddenly stopped moving and the door slid open. Adriana pulled his hand and guided him out of the chamber into a vast city underground. Bucky's eyes widened in shock as he gazed at the city in front of him. Up on top of the city was a bright light like a mini sun, showering the city with its light. Underneath it stood rows and rows of buildings in various shapes, all of them were imbued with glowing blue substance, much like vibranium! Bucky thought in surprise.
"Are these vibranium?" Bucky asked.
"Yes. This planet has vibranium. It is what powers that mini sun up there. It's basically everywhere here." Adriana explained.
"Reminds me of Wakanda." Bucky said as Adriana pulled him to continue walking.
"Wakanda?" she asked.
"Yes, a nation on earth that has a source of vibranium." he responded.
"Wakanda.. the name feels familiar." she said.
"It should be. If you are who I think you are." he said slowly.
"And who do you think I am?" she asked, stopping in her tracks and looked at him, her eyebrows furrowed.
"I think.. I think you're Adriana. Adriana Weaver, my fiancee." he explained and her eyes grew wide.
"Bucky?" she asked, stepping closer to him.
"You know my name?" his eyes widened as fireworks exploded in his chest. This was really her!
"I.. yeah. Come on. Let's go to my house. We can talk some more there." she said as she pulled his hand and they continued walking towards the border of the city.
Bucky couldn't focus much on the realization that Adriana was still alive. He was distracted by the natives of the planet walking around them. He looked around in awe as they walked past them. He noticed three alien races so far, one with horns on their head, one with green skin, and one inside something like an astronaut suit. As far as he could see, he didn't see a single native that looked human. He wondered how Adriana could end up in this place. It seemed she was also quite popular as almost everyone greeted her as they passed.
After several minutes they finally reached a cluster of round shaped buildings built near each other, like a complex of houses. Adriana guided him into one of the round shaped buildings. After she pushed a combination of buttons on the door, the door opened revealing the interior of the building. His jaw dropped as they entered the building. He didn't expect to see a place that looked so much like the interior of a house on earth, yet there it was.
"Welcome to my house." Adriana said, smiling at him as she helped take the robe off from his body.
"Wow. I didn't expect the inside to look so much like a place on earth." Bucky said as he walked around the house, admiring everything.
"Yeah. The exterior is somewhat misleading, right?" she chuckled as she put her robe on a hanger by the door next to her spear which she had put there as soon as they came in.
"Exactly." he responded, smiling at her. She smiled back and blushed, making his heart skipped a beat.
"Right, I think we need something to drink after what happened earlier." she finally said as she went to the kitchen and started to pull some things out from the cupboards.
Bucky followed her to the kitchen and stood by the dining table, staring at her. Watching her in the kitchen reminded him so much of all the times they spent together in the kitchen back at her apartment. He often just sat on the kitchen counter watching her cook, admiring her beauty from afar. He sometimes daydream about what he was going to do to her later that day or night. The sight of her in front of him like this made him feel butterflies in his stomach, a feeling he had not felt for a very long time. His heart suddenly stung a little as he remembered all those nights crying over her. His eyes pricked and tears started to well up in his eyes.
"Please, sit down." Adriana said, startling him from his painful reverie.
"Thank you." he said as he sat on one of the seats near the dining table.
"Are you.. okay?" she asked in concern, noticing his distraught look.
"I'm.. I'm fine." he sniffled.
"I just have something in my eyes." he continued saying as he wiped the tears from his eyes.
"Okay. Just relax while I prepare a cup of hot kokoa for us." she said, smiling at him.
"Okay. Thank you." he nodded and smiled back.
Bucky's eyes continued to stare at her as she went back to prepare the hot kokoa. It was amazing that even though he was miles away from earth, something like chocolate could still be found. He was also still confused about everything and couldn't wait to hear her story.
Slowly his eyes left her as he studied the house more. His eyebrows furrowed as he noticed a picture of two people stuck on what seemed to be a refrigerator. His jaw dropped as he realized whose picture it was. The picture was of Adriana standing next to a man with yellow eyes. The man with the yellow eyes! He stood up and walked towards the refrigerator to get a closer look.
His finger brushed over the picture as he studied it. The man in the picture next to Adriana really was the man he fought back during the Kree invasion. He was the man.. no.. the Kree that took Adriana from him! The Kree apparently had kept her hostage all this time. But why did she look so happy in the picture? The Kree had his hand around her waist and she had her hand around his waist. They looked at the camera with wide smiles, the backdrop of a beautiful sunset behind them.
"That's Yon-Rogg. I think you know him." Adriana said, standing next to him.
"I do know him. He took you away from me." he said, venom in his voice.
"He did, didn't he?" she nodded.
"Wait, so you remember?" he asked, his eyebrows raised.
"No, I don't. Yon-Rogg told me what happened." she explained.
"And what did he tell you?" he asked. His mind couldn't comprehend on what the Kree could've told Adriana that she seemed to be comfortable with the information that the Kree had taken her away from him.
"Come sit down, Bucky." she said, beckoning for him to go back and sit at the dining table.
Bucky followed her and sat across from her. Two steaming cups of hot kokoa were on the table along with a plate of cookies - chocolate chip cookies. He remembered Adriana used to love baking them. The memory triggered another pang in his heart. He took a deep breath as he looked at her, waiting for her to break the silence.
Adriana picked up the cup of hot kokoa from the table and blew the top of it lightly. She then took a small sip and put it down back onto the table.
"Can you start by telling me about myself? And then answer my questions? I will then answer yours." she said slowly.
"Alright." he nodded.
"Where should I start?" he continued asking.
"Just start with the basics. Like, my name, family, where you met me. Things like that. Because I don't remember anything." she replied.
Bucky's heart broke as the realization dawned in him. Adriana had amnesia! That explained why she seemed so happy with the Kree. She didn't know who she was! He took another deep breath and started talking.
"Your name is Adriana Weaver. You were born on April 3rd 1996 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Your mother's name is Maria Weaver and your father's name is John Weaver. You have a little brother, John Weaver Jr. You live in New York City while your family lives in Oklahoma." he said.
Bucky wished he could read minds because Adriana didn't react at the information he gave her. She just stared at him in silence.
"Alright. What do I do in New York?" she finally asked.
"You're an assistant fashion designer at Gucci." he answered.
"Gucci?" she asked, her eyebrows raised.
"Yes, an expensive fashion brand." he explained.
"Oh okay. How did we meet?" she asked.
"We met at this cafe called Dear Butter, right across from your office." he smiled as he remembered that he broke a coffee cup the first time he saw her.
"Dear Butter.. do they sell like.. something like pastry?" she asked.
"Yes! They sell waffles and croffles. Do you remember it?" he asked.
"Hmm.. a little." she said as she scrunched her eyes shut, her fingers rubbed her temple.
"Are you okay?" he asked, reaching over to touch her hand. Her eyes fluttered open as he touched her hand.
"Yeah, it's just, whenever I try to remember something, my head hurt." she said as she retracted her hand away from him.
Bucky's heart dropped to his stomach as he realized that she had rejected his touch. He wondered what went on in her mind.
"Please continue." she finally said.
"Okay. Well, when the Kree took you away during the Kree invasion, we were engaged and were preparing to get married." he said slowly, waiting for her reaction but she stayed silent with no discernable emotion on her face.
"You knew that?" he asked after a bit of a pause.
"I did know that, yeah." she nodded.
"Well, can I ask you something now?" he asked.
"Of course." she replied.
"Tell me what happened to you. Starting from the first memory you can remember." Bucky said.
"Well, I remember I was sitting in a small ship. A missile was heading towards the ship I was in. Yon-Rogg stood up from the pilot seat and came over to me and hugged me. Next thing I knew I woke up in a holding cell at the Kree's mother ship. Yon-Rogg was there and told me that my name is Una-Ver, and that I was part of an elite team in the Kree military, Starforce. We just lost on a mission on earth and that I was held in a holding cell because Supreme Intelligence thought I was a mole that contributed to the mission's failure." she explained.
"What?!" he asked, getting really confused.
"Let me continue the story, you'll get it soon." she said and he nodded.
"Anyway, Yon-Rogg helped me escape from the holding cell and he took us here, to Torfa. He was instructed by the Supreme Intelligence to kill me because I was a mole that helped give intel to the people on earth so that they were prepared for our attack. But he didn't have the heart to do it. He decided to spare my life. He betrayed Supreme Intelligence and decided to stay with me here. We faked an accident and our death so that Supreme Intelligence wouldn't look for us anymore. We then met the natives here, who are mostly Argens but there are also some Sentimaults and Nowlanians. They offered us a place to stay to hide ourselves from Supreme Intelligence." she explained.
Bucky shook his head in disbelief. The Kree.. Yon-Rogg.. was feeding her lies. That was why she seemed happy with him. His eyes darted down onto her hand and he noticed something he didn't notice before. Adriana wore 2 rings on her ring finger, the engagement ring he gave her and a black ring with glowing blue and golden vines on top of it. Was she in a relationship with Yon-Rogg? His stomach felt sick as he contemplated that possibility.
"Are you.. are you in a relationship with Yon-Rogg?" he asked slowly.
Adriana didn't answer right away, her eyes looked at him in concern. She slowly pulled out something from her neck - a small tear shaped vial with a blue liquid in it. He wondered what it was, why she took it out and why she wore it.
"Yes, Bucky. Yon-Rogg.. he.. I.." she turned the vial on her neck around and around then took a deep breath. She let it go then finally said
"Yon-Rogg is my husband, Bucky.."
Bucky's heart broke into a thousand pieces as he heard her. Husband?! Yon-Rogg was her husband?! Oh how cruel the universe was to him! Not only he was made to think that she was dead all this time, now that they were reunited, she belonged to someone else!
Bucky stood up abruptly and walked as far away from her as possible. He stood facing the back of the house. His head in turmoil and his heart bled profusely. How could this happen?! How?! He started to feel tears welling up in his eyes again.
His mind went back to the previous year. How hard it was for him to deal with the grief of losing the love of his life. He was just finally able to move on but she suddenly appeared! He didn't expect to find her again so he was so ecstatic to have found her! But just when his broken heart was mended again, it shattered yet again into a million pieces in a matter of minutes. He didn't know if he could handle more heart break and pain at this point.
"Bucky.. I'm.. I'm sorry." Adriana said, staring at him from where she was sitting.
Bucky sighed and took a deep breath. He should pull himself together. The most important thing was that Adriana was alive. Sooner or later she would gain her memory back, he was sure of it. He just needed to help her remember. If she remembered him again, he was certain she would choose him over the Kree. She would come back to him and they would get married as planned and lived happily ever after. Don't give up just yet, Buck. He thought to himself.
He then wiped the tears from his eyes and walked back towards Adriana. He stopped in front of her and knelt on the floor. He picked her hands and held them tight in his.
"Adriana.. doll.. Yon-Rogg has been feeding you with lies. None of what he told you are real. They're all lies! You're not a Kree, you're not part of the Starforce, and you're definitely not a mole. You're human, part of the human race. You're also a super soldier, like me. That's why you have super strength, super speed and you can heal fast. I'm a super soldier too, we're a super soldier couple." he smiled but Adriana didn't return it. She just stared at him, conflict in her eyes.
"Adriana, you're a human and a super soldier but most of all, to me, you.. are.. the love of my life." Bucky said slowly as he gazed at her with love and adoration, his heart beating fast in his chest, hoping she would believe him.
Adriana continued to stare at him, her eyes started to well up with tears. He leaned close to her, his eyes glanced at her perfectly kissable lips. Just when he was about to capture her lips in his, she stood up and let his hand go, leaving him kneeling on the floor, looking down in defeat.
"I'm sorry Bucky. I.. I want so much to believe you. But.. I.. I really don't know who to believe!" she said as she paced around the kitchen, tears falling freely from her eyes.
"I mean.. how do I know it's not you who has been telling me lies?" she asked, wiping the tears falling on her cheek.
"Yon-Rogg told me that you might have used me! You seduced me and made me fall in love with you so that I would give you intel for your people. He said I betrayed the Kree to help you and your race." she explained.
Bucky couldn't believe it! Yon-Rogg had been feeding her with a very believable lie! But surely Adriana would know the difference between the truth and a lie. He couldn't give up now. After a moment he finally stood up and walked closer to her. He stopped right in front of her.
"Adriana.. doll.. don't use your mind, use your heart. It can show you the truth." he said as he touched the center of her chest gently. Adriana gazed at him, a great conflict in her eyes.
"Una! Una! I'm home!" Bucky and Adriana froze as they heard Yon-Rogg's voice calling her from the front door.

Based off of Smutista's Prompt: Super solder sperm acts like a mind-altering drug and aphrodisiac, making Tony a mindless cockslut.
Whiskey eyes crinkled at the corners, almost involuntarily, as he let out a dry laugh.
β€œThey don’t usually let you do this for a reason, right? Subterfuge doesn't seem to be your jam either. So definitely not a spy. Definitely not the executioner, you don’t have the stomach for it. Which brings up back around to that pesky original question you never answered. Why are you here?”
Steve sighed. Was he going to do this?
β€œThey want me to fuck you into telling us Schmidt’s location.”
A pregnant pause filled the eerie silence of the cave, interrupted only by the soft and distant sound of water dripping and the mournful howl of the wind whipping outside.
And then the prisoner threw his head back, the harsh bark of his laughter filling the cave and bouncing back until Steve was surrounded on all sides by echoes of his amusement. β€œOh sweetheart, you’re welcome to try. No one can fuck Tony Stark into doing anything he doesn't want to do.”

the lost soul
bucky barnes angst
t.w/c.w - major character death, angst, self-harm, depression, suicide
James had lost everything.
Sure, he’d once had his best friend, his β€˜in another life’, his only stability through the decades.
But he was gone, and he was never coming back.
Anguish tore a hole through James’ heart, a gaping, festering wound where his lost love would forever sit. The hole leaked a toxic chemical, spreading it through his lungs into his bloodstream. The poison infected the damaged man, dragging him into the depths of the darkness as it swam through his veins.Β
People tried to help, hands grabbed for him, but the black was too strong, too quick.
In short, James was drowning while everyone around him seemed to effortlessly float on the surface. He had fought for an eternity, clawing at the tendrils that kept him submerged in its poison, but even superhumans became exhausted. It felt as though every time he managed to make even an inch on the ground, he was pulled down twice as hard, twice as deep.
The lover inside him weeped, the author sobbed, the artist whined, but the fighter; the fighter took it the hardest.
The fighter, and subsequently the fight, inside James simply died. It sank into a corner, curled up small and pathetic, laying its head down and waiting for the comforting fingers of death to pull it away.
Through all of it, James suffered in silence. He ignored his friends, his needs, his hygiene, his life. For all the soldier wanted was the love that would never come back.
Grief ripped through his soul, taking it apart piece by excruciating piece and left him to pick up the remnants. Denial, anger, bargaining, and depression, all took their time working him over.
He didn’t hate his love for leaving, he didn’t hate death for carrying him over the edge, no.Β
No, he only wished he could be taken over that same edge.
To smile at death with the last of the oxygen in his lungs and close his eyes forever.
James knew he couldn’t die as any normal human could, so he took his anger to the bags.
He attacked those reinforced punching bags until his hands split open and his knuckles bled onto the floor. He refused to use gloves while bleaching the evidence of his little incident. He didn’t use a guard when shaving, not caring when the blade scraped against his throat.
James simply couldn’t bring himself to care.
He’d accepted the lifeless, dead eyes that stared back at him in the mirror. Had accepted the gaunt, hollow cheeks and sunken collarbones. Had accepted the ribs that jutted out of his abdomen.
He had accepted the monster that stared back at him in the mirror. The reflection was a horrific nightmare, flesh and bones sloppily carved into an imitation of a man.Β
James supposed that he’d be sent to the 7th circle of hell once life finally relinquished its crushing hold over him; Violence. That was what most accurately described his life.
He’d been trained as a soldier his entire life. Had died for the fight. Had killed for the damned. He fought for the wrong side and was brought back just to fight for what was deemed as the β€˜right’.
In total and complete honesty, James had never had a singular ounce of free will in his entire life. From being drafted to the War, to being tortured, brainwashed and becoming an empty-minded killing machine, to being brought back, having his brain rescrambled and turned into the good guy that everyone wanted.
Everyone but James.
The traumatized man had never wanted to fight, not the way he did. Yes, he wanted to help people and be a good person, and bring about some justice into the system of atrocity and corruption that encased the world. But he had never wanted to be the judge, jury and executioner.Β
None of it was worth it, none of it was enjoyable and James hated that they had made him into that… that thing.
He was given nightmares and trauma as a gift for his service. Was punished with mockery and social outcast. James’ life had never been his own, and most likely never would be. The only thing he had a choice over was if his life actually had a chance to continue.Β
After the final fight, with two of his friends dead, never to return, the thoughts came back. But when his unrequited love faded out of existence in a blink of an eye, that’s when he made a plan.
Pills wouldn’t do the job, he would metabolize it far too quickly for it to do any real damage.
Hanging was a no-go either, he’d suffered that enough during his soldier days to create a lifelong fight or flight response that could rival God themself.
A long drop and a sudden stop seemed like the best option; his broken and bloody body sprawled out against some concrete somewhere. He saw flashes, people who looked at his lifeless body, shrugged and just kept walking past. Nobody would mourn, nobody would cry, and nobody would even bat an eye at James’ missed presence.Β
His person was gone.
His friends were scattered and in the wind.
His only company in the latest months was the cat he’d fostered, but recently given away.
James had made all the precautions, taken all the necessary steps and made all his final wishes. His money would go to those who needed it, and his body (or whatever was left of it at the end of that jump) would be donated to science. His arm would go back to the King of Wakanda, who could actually use the metal for something good. Something not broken, not bloody, not bad. Nobody cared, in life and in death James made no impact, his name was on no record, his name on no grave. There would be no lasting impact and no uproar through society like there was with his lover and friends.
And so on that day, James took himself to the top of his apartment building, he'd chosen the time where there would be the least amount of people around. James wouldn't create unnecessary trauma for anyone… well more than he already had.
It was peaceful up there, calm and still. From the top of that cream brick building, the city looked so beautiful. It looked bright and warm.
It looked fake.
For James knew the secrets that were whispered through the streets; knew of the danger that lurked in the shadows and of the tragedy that was woven into the lives of so many… too many.
Lies, deceit and betrayal intertwined itself through everything, spreading like a silent virus that ruined life.
A shuddering inhale was heard, the wind was quietly whipping around him, caressing his body with its gentle breeze. It was almost comforting, like it was encouraging him to take that final step, to go through with it. The wind would catch him, would hold him in its warm arms and take away the pain. He loved it, got a thrill from the inevitability of it all, of finally taking back the control that had been so cruelly ripped from him before he even had any sense or clue of what it actually meant.Β
Two feet stood on the ledge of the old brick complex, two hands wrapped around sharp ribs, two eyes blinked slow tears away.Β
Taking one final breath in, James choked on a sob, β€œI’ll see you soon. I just hope you waited for me.” He cried into the emptiness and prayed that someone, anyone, was listening.Β
One foot dangled over the ledge, quickly joined by another.
His final act, and his first of his own true free will, was to take his life, take control in the most final of ways.
James laughed, breath free as the wind whipped around him, it did catch him and seconds, minutes, maybe even hours later, a blackness greeted his vision and a final wheezed breath was shoved from his chest. With the last of his oxygen, James’ grinned at death.Β
Finally.
