This one's to the trans ladies who follow me - and only a particular subset of trans ladies would follow me.

Understand that I say this in affectionate jest - I know ribbing is more acceptable coming from a friend than some stranger online, but I genuinely love you all.

I just want to say: Y'all are so damn funny.

Transition is a deeply personal journey - one must decide for themself what it means to be X or Y or Z (or rather, what it means to be yourself). Society has certain expectations of X and Y and Z, but the individual facets are yours to reject, embrace, or ignore. It can be quite difficult to get others to recognize and respect those choices, but ultimately transition is for yourself. Getting to the point: For those ladies in my audience who conscientiously embraced being women? It's adorable how you went, "What's that thing women are known for? Right - pregnancy!" Of all the wonderful avenues of self-expression available to you, you darlings choose the one that says: "If I was pregnant, yet someone insisted that I was not a woman, they'd look fucking insane by their own twisted logic." There's an inherent rebellion to it, a kind of malicious compliance that brings joy to my heart in these trying times.

Anyways, if a trans girly in your life wants to be pregnant, it is your moral imperative to knock her up! (even if only platonically - sometimes your friend needs a favor)

yes yes, pregnancy isn't the sole domain of women nor is pregnancy what defines a woman. Believe me, another portion of my audience is trans men who want to be pregnant and my own boyfriend's gender ideal is MILF. I love you all too, but I needed to make a point.

Sometimes I’m like “Wow, people are awful” but today on my flight there was a baby crying and the parents were getting a bit anxious themselves not wanting to make the rest of the passengers uncomfortable with a screaming baby. But random people, clearly parents and grandparents themselves, came up to the couple and took turns entertaining the baby and walking up and down the aisle to distract the baby. And. Anyway. Shit like this fills my heart ❤️

so while i can respect you not being into IDW (you dont have to like every angle of the franchise to like sonic) but the whos-on-first of you asking questions that are answered in the comic and question the logic of things explained in the book while people explain it in disembodied chunks is more than a bit goofy. you aren't actually engaging with the thing you are criticizing, never mind the the initial question seemed to position you to dislike something you already weren't a fan of.

Nah that’s fair. I genuinely tried to read the comics ages ago and just couldn’t get into them. I could go into the reasons that do come from (I feel at least) a legitimate place but frankly I don’t really feel like going to such an extent lol

I’m negative enough as is about the movies and being negative about a whole other section of this franchise just seems too exhausting. The initial and follow up questions were just interesting mainly on a character analysis angle. But I do see and respect your point. Thanks for the honesty and being approachable about it 💁🏻‍♀️✨
