✨New item!✨ Titan’s Greatbow Weapon (longbow), very rare (requires attunement)
This massive longbow is bound together from a bundle of saplings. Runic enchantments engraved into metal rings along its limbs empower the wielder with the strength to wield it. The bow has a normal range of 200 feet and a long range of 800 feet, and you have a bonus to damage rolls equal to your Strength modifier or +2, whichever is higher.
Enlarging Arrow. The bow has 5 charges, and it regains 1d4 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. When you make a ranged attack with the bow, you can expend 1 charge to cause the arrow to grow to immense proportions in mid-flight. On a hit, the target takes an extra 2d8 piercing damage if it is in the bow’s normal range, or 3d8 if it is in the bow’s long range. Additionally, if the target is a creature, it must make a successful DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. This arrow deals double damage to objects and structures. The arrow then reverts to its normal size.
Latia watched the quickly-moving caravan kick up dust in the valley below, and lined up her shot. As she loosed an arrow with a resonant thrum, the runic etchings of her massive greatbow flashed white-hot. Soaring through the air, the arrow quickly expanded to immense proportions. By the time it hit the lead wagon, it was as if a small tree had fallen from the sky. The wagon was instantly shattered and sent careening end-over-end. Horses, men, and a torrent of debris were flung in every direction as chaos descended upon the sundered caravan. - 🖌🎨 Like our work? Bad Berry
Wondrous Item, Rare, Consumable
This item was created by a mad cadre of Druids desiring nothing but the cleansing of an unruly ecosystem. It is a twisted and spiny fruit, in a distorted and deformed shape of a Good Berry. This item can be activated as an action, it's top spine plucked. Upon activating this item, it begins to hiss malevolently. You can throw the Bad Berry up to twice your Strength Score in feet away. After being thrown, or 5 minutes after being activated, the Bad Berry erupts into a 20ft radius sphere of baleful energy. Each creature within the radius must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 17) or take 8d6 necrotic damage. Any creature at or below half of their hit point maximum makes the save at disadvantage. Any creature who failed the save by 5 or more is stunned until the end of their next turn.
If a creature is reduced to 0 hit points with a Bad Berry they immediately die, and harden with incredibly resilient magical brambles. While these brambles exist, the creature cannot be healed nor revived by any means short of a Wish or Divine Intervention. These magical brambles can only be removed, by a Dispel Magic spell cast by a Druid.

Writing Prompt 337
Truth to be told, the reason guns aren’t used much in the modern day for fighting against the creatures of the night is because it’s very much expensive to do so.
Each creature type can truly be wounded only by an object imbued with something they are weak to. Silver, holy water and holy symbols, cold iron, you get the idea.
So, you try to make each bullet personalized for each type of monster, somewhere between seven to thirty bullets for magazine. On one hand, the material and monetary cost, on the other the time spent on each object in part and making sure they are done right too.
Much easier to use a sword, dagger or club, no? This is not to say enchanted modern weapons don’t exist, but unless you can bear the cost, you’re better off using something simpler.

✨New item!✨ Tsuba of the Crane Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement)
You can attach this tsuba to a longsword, greatsword, rapier, shortsword, or scimitar by pressing the tsuba against it for at least 1 minute, at which point it replaces the sword’s hand guard. Thereafter, the tsuba can't be removed unless you detach it as an action or the weapon is destroyed. A sword can only have one tsuba attached to it at a time.
If a sword is nonmagical, it counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage while this tsuba is attached.
While you are holding a sword with this tsuba attached and you are hit by a ranged weapon attack, you can use your reaction to deflect the missile. Make an attack roll with this sword. If the total number rolled is equal to or higher than the attack roll of the incoming ranged attack, you deflect the missile and take no damage. This attack cannot benefit from advantage or disadvantage. - 🖌🎨 Like our work? Dark magic and ornate designs
Last week passed without incident, though it was a bit socially draining. I met up with an old friend and enjoyed some korean-style fried chicken, greeted my overseas grandma "Happy Birthday," and attended the usual DnD in a more cramped-than-usual setting (and we had the full party, so the session was fun yet chaotic).
DnD and the Jujutsu Kaisen anime with all its curses loosely inspired the subject of my most recent picture - a cursed key of knowledge.
Tumblr media
It was designed with an unsettling eyepiece in the middle and jagged pieces that would make the key painful to hold and turn. The sword on top comes from the tarot card symbolism of swords and potentially painful truths. I also imagine that if the eye absorbed a good amount of light, the key could potentially be hot to the touch.
Tumblr media
And I also churned out the second character sheet linked to that high wizard idea I described. I named Hugh's assistant/friend Jazzlyn (Jazz for short). She's of lower nobility and takes her roles in life seriously, but she also enjoys some degree of gossip and using magic for silly/petty reasons.
I look forward to portraying Jazz with more of her double life and motivations in the future. So I hinted at it with the differences in her dress, hair style (naturally straight hair styled curly and with hair pieces), and overall demeanor.
The outfit portrayed on the right side is based on how she appeared in the Kofi comic, though I also added the fanny pack on her waist. Round-faced characters are surprisingly difficult to draw precisely (because you really need to pay attention to where the facial features are placed.
I'll be traveling again next week for more out-of-state family celebrations, so I might not have the time to write next Sunday. We'll see.
