It's time for Dorm Leaders with Ash's Pokemon headcanons!

Riddle- Bulbasaur

Bulbasaur is the ringleader of Ash's Pokemon, and Riddle respects it a lot

to be able to keep 50+ chaotic Pokemon in line, despite many of them having the ability to toss Bulbasaur around like a salad

Bulbasaur also has none of the Adeuce shenanigans and is constantly using his vines to stop them

Riddle and Bulbasaur have very peaceful teatime with each other

and by peaceful, I mean the two relax at a table drinking tea and eating cookies

while Ace, Deuce, Grim and Ash goof around

they need the "parental supervision" a Riddle put it

ignoring the fact that Ash has raised Pokemon from eggs like they were her own kids lol

all in all, Riddle and Bulbasaur are actually the most peaceful duo in this entire thing

Leona- Rowlet

ever since Rowlet arrived in TWST, Leona has been waking up with it sleeping somewhere near him

next to him

on his lap

on his shoulder

it was in his hair once

and every single time when he woke up, he would either scare Rowlet awake so it would fly away, or he'd just throw it

but last time he threw Rowlet, Ash threw him, so no more throwing Rowlet

as time went on, he sorta just learned to accept the fact that Rowlet was now his sleeping buddy

and no matter where he hid, he would always be found

no one brings it up to him either, because who wants to tell leona kingscholar that he's getting friendly with a fricking owl

that's right, no one

except Ash, of course >:)

Azul- Dracovish

Azul thoughts Dracovish was kinda derpy (tbh, he kinda still does)

but when he sees Dracovish's Fishious Rend practically obliterate the practice dummies

he suddenly glad that Ash didn't use Dracovish on him when he Overblot...

she did, he just doesn't remember :/

Dracovish was relentless btw

Dracovish loves being petted, and once jumped into the Octavinelle water tank just to make Azul get out of his office

then, once Azul gets out of the office, Dracovish pops out and asks for pets

at this point, Azul caught onto it, but doesn't have the heart to stop it

he won't admit it, but he does like Dracovish

Kalim- Totodile

Kalim and Totodile meet for the first time

then Ash has trouble getting Totodile to go back to Ramshackle with her

the two are immediately glued together and dancing and playing around in the water

jamil is tired

they're literally best friends when the day ends

Kalim and Totodile are hugging each other, huge crocodile tears in their eyes as Jamil and Ash have to physically separate them because it is past curfew, dammit Kalim

Kalim is actually one of the very very few that a majority of Ash's Pokemon like

Totodile especially

did I mention that they're best friends now?

Vil- Unfezant

ahhh Unfezant

so agile, so graceful

done so dirty in all of her battles, she deserves better

Vil first meets Unezant as she's flying around with Ash's other Flying-types, and he's never seen a bird do as many elegant aerial tricks as her

is intrigued with how well maintained she is

meanwhile, Unfezant is wondering who the hell this boy is and why he's looking at her like that

is, ironically, unsettled by Vil at first because all he does when he sees her is analyze her, which makes her very uncomfortable

retaliates by sending string gusts of wind to mess up his hair

and Ash has to proceed to tell a very irate Vil that he's making Unfezant very uncomfy and the wind thing was her way of making him stop

guess Rook rubbed off on him more than he's like to admit...

slowly, Vil begins to actually talk to Unfezant, especially complimenting her flying prowess, and Unfezant starts to kind of like him a bit

now messes his hair up as a sign of appreciation :)

Idia- Pikachu

literally who else could I pick?

the biggest lil shit there is >:)

despite being a cat guy, Idia was immediately interested in Ash's only Electric-type

"kinda like a marketable plushie..."

was almost zapped for that comment

but he WAS zapped for picking Pikachu up to look at him

Ash tried to warn him, even went to grab Pikachu back from him

cue Pikachu zapping BOTH of them

cue Ash having to explain that Pikachu does that with people he doesn't like

also cue Ash having to explain that she's used to it because Pikachu literally electrocutes her as a sign of affection

Idia is mildly concerned, but seeing as she isn't hurt he lets it slide

tries to keep making friends with Grim and Pikachu and the two are not having a good time :/

keep the crazy cat boy away from the electric mouse pls

Malleus- Charizard

“ah, what a fearsome yet protective dragon you have”

“but… Charizard’s not a dragon…?”

he even has Ash pull it up on one of her Pokédex’s

sure enough, not a dragon

at this point, with what happened with iris, Ash is used to people mistaking Charizard for a dragon

Charizard, however, is a bit ofended (cuz that's just how he is 😅)

so he tries to flame Malleus

doesn't work on him, but Ash gets caught in the crossfire and gets covered in soot

cue malleus being genuinely concerned for the human

cue ash having to explain she's used to it and it's a sign of affection

again

Ash's Tauros know that Epel is a guy, but since he's not an asshole to her and understands how annoying it is sometimes to get misgendered.

So Epel has the privilege of not getting trampled in a chase lol and kinda can see people complaining to Ash about how her Tauros are picking on them, trying to trample them over And she do not belive since to her, the Tauros herd are a bunch of sewethearts and sofities. But for any other boy they're a bunch of little shits lol😂

Ash: Wait, here Just no way in Arceus' name ok? I know every single one of my Tauros and here just no way they would do that.

Rating how likely Ash's companions are to date him

Starting from the beginning

Misty 5/10 I think theyd date for like a month straight except Ash would not realize any of their excursions were dates nor would he know they are dating. He'd only find out via her kissing him after like the 5th date and then there'd be this big embarrassing revelation, and the two would immediately choose to pretend none of this had ever happened.

Brock 0/10 he is a whole 5 years older and strictly into women

Tracey 0/10 approximately 5 years older than Ash and therefore he'd never consider it but i do think hes bisexual and i just need to put that out there.

May 0/10 they are SO siblings core you cannot convince me otherwise. I will fight you if you say otherwise.

Max 2/10 Max would have one of those cute younger kid crushes on Ash if not for the fact that Max is too smart for that

Dawn 7/10 its very obvious to everyone around them that they are dating and actively so. But both of them think this is normal friend behavior. But eventually Dawn realizes shes just been using him cuz of her own comphet and shes actually a lesbian. He didnt even notice tho so honestly its fine. They have a conversation about it and the phrase "no need to worry" gets used no less than 3 times

Iris -12/10 the mere idea of going on a date with Ash would make her vomit

Cilan 0/10 hes even older than brock

Serena 4/10 like she obvi has that crush on him so she wants to date him. However I think she'd be way more clear in asking him out. And would probs not count any potentially datelike excursions as dating cuz she wants him to be 100% aware and into her too. Unfortunately for her this will never happen cuz hes gay.

Clemont 10/10 Ash had a huge crush on him and Clemont enjoys the attention

Bonnie -5/10 i think she would also be sick at the idea of dating Ash, regardless of age

I actually havent seen most of the alola stuff but imo they are all very found family no one would date ash

Goh 9/10 he is literally in love with ash

Chloe 0/10 maybe a 2 if you count all the times she undoubtedly winds up thirdwheeling ash and goh

The SMG Trios of Origins Interrupted

Barry

The protagonist of a block pushing puzzle game called "Blook"

A cute little red square guy with mitten hands, big blocky eyebrows, thick vertical lines for eyes, and a cute little one tooth overbite

In modern day he has a permanent scowl, full eyes with beady pupils and prominent eyebags, and is always wearing a grey fedora-trenchcoat combo. Still has the cute overbite though.

Was originally a friendly, helpful little buddy who cheered the player on, and becoming the Avatar turned him into an insane idiotic asshole like Season 1 Mario.

Due to a lack of positive influences, by the time he managed to get his new personality under control he'd managed to drive away everyone who'd ever cared about him, turning him bitter and jaded

Only found out about all the Meme Cycle stuff after that, causing him to abandon his home universe and set off on a crusade against the SMG Program

Absolutely hates memes, and especially hates that his Avatar status gives him the inescapable compulsion to use them

SMG17 and SMG18

Preferred to keep to themselves, hence why they weren't involved in Barry's life until after he hit rock bottom and began to hate them

They don't really show up outside of flashbacks, so all that's really known about them is that 17 is green and 18 is pink

Ash Ketchum

Since Barry's meddling means he doesn't get memed until near the end of the arc, he acts exactly the same as in canon

Is surprisingly okay with the fact that winning will turn him into a chaotic idiot

Can already use some memes even though he's not the Avatar yet, similarly to how Meggy can occasionally use memes despite not really Getting them

Uses his Unova outfit because I like it the most, but in terms of memories, experience and available Pokemon he's from after the last episode of Aim to be a Pokemon Master

Is 17 because fuck you canon there's no way he's still ten after all that you can't do that much stuff in less than a year. Really even 17 feels like I'm lowballing it a bit, but I wanted him to still be at "technically a kid" age for extra "excuse me what the fuck" points when everyone else finds out what his life is like

Pikachu

Got a little bit zapped by one of the Pods when Barry was stealing them to suppress the Meme Wave so now he can talk and is kind of an asshole

He was really already an asshole it's just that now everyone can understand him

The only meme character in a canon world. Such is life

SMG29

Been alive for less than a minute and already realized she's trans

The Sane One

Is well aware of her sense of humor being tuned to dead memes and fully embraces The Cringe

I'll decide on designs for her and 30 later but do know that she trades her palette swap outfit for something more her style as soon as possible

She does at least keep her hat, which is blue and black with a female Nidoran face instead of red and white with a light blue pokeball emblem

SMG30

MAXIMUM ADHD. Cannot stay still to save his life, even moreso than Ash

Doesn't tend to come up with crazy ideas of his own, but is very much an enabler of everyone else's crazy ideas

Has a bit of a mad scientist streak, which is where most of the exceptions to his lack of crazy ideas stem from

His hat is green and white with a purple SMG arrow pointing up

They both get Pokemon partners after the situation is dealt with, but I haven't picked them yet.

Second Chance

Chapter 1

Pallet Town was a quiet little town where everyone and her grandmother knew everyone, and secrets didn't exist. In fact, the most secretive people in town were the Oak family, as the eldest was the Pokemon teacher of the region and the daughter of Delia Ketchum.

Aisha Ketchum was an anomaly. While she was energetic and never stopped at home, she was also a recluse, often spending her time alone until Gary dragged her off on some adventure that would end up with them all dirty and scratched up.

If they weren't terrifying anyone, a look at the Professor's Oak library would show the two kids, three before Daisy set off on her journey, their noses buried in any book about Pokémon.

But that wasn't what made some people think of her as an anomaly. It was Pallet Town, after all, where most Kanto kids started their journeys if the aptitude exams pointed them to getting an official starter. Most of the kids there wanted to become a Pokemon trainers, even if they never won a Regional League. It was almost a rite of passage for everyone.

In many moments, Ash would stop and stare into the void, and nothing and no one could get her to wake up from that dissociation. Professor Oak had taken her to a League doctor, as he was a prominent figure and didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to the girl. In the end, no one knew what she had. The closest they got was trauma or abuse, but without evidence or memory of such events, there wasn't much they could do.

The only time Ash was more waked was when she was around Pokemons as if something inside her knew she needed to be more attentive around them. An idea came to the Professor's head. The challenge was to get Delia to agree with that.

Aisha always felt like she didn't belong. Like she was watching a movie she'd never seen but knew something was missing from it.

The pink and green bubbles in the corner of her eye didn't help her case either. Information about Pokemons that she had never seen but recognized; flashbacks of things she'd never done but felt real; the song she always hummed or whistled as she strolled along the beach near Pallet.

But the worst was when she felt itchy skin. Something that made her prepare to learn and become more powerful than before ( before what? ). 

Not even her mother's protests, excuses, and indiscreet attempts to change her preferences towards something more 'feminine' take her focus. Even when the topic of conversation in town was the Ketchum mother-daughter arguments, she insisted on following that precedent. But no one is made of iron, and the constant discussions and devaluation of her achievements in Pokemon knowledge, made Ash stop talking and publicly show her interest and love for Pokemons.

Delia wasn't what you would traditionally call an inadequate mother. Single, with a small business in a popular restaurant, and a young daughter, she did what she could to take care of Aisha. Unfortunately, despite all her efforts to support her daughter and herself, this has caused her to become somewhat neglectful and overly controlling.

Mistakes in her youth meant Delia could not fulfill many of her childhood dreams and wishes. Unfortunately, she was stuck on Pallet with a child and a restaurant that gave her little time for the little one. At first, it may have started with a mother's concern for a child: not wanting them to make the same mistakes and make better decisions in life. But little by little, that concern became control. Delia had mentally planned out, step by step, what she would like Ash's life to be. Unfortunately, this backfired.

Ash has always been a curious girl, and Pokemons were her biggest passion after battles. So, unknown to her mother, she began to acquire more and more knowledge about Pokemons with the help of Professor Oak and some of his assistants. Gary also became a frequent companion, causing the two children to become thick as thieves.

It would be one of those classes, one of the weeks when Daisy visited, that they would welcome their first partners.

Daisy, Gary, and Aisha cautiously faced the Professor. It wasn't often that he called them to his office. After all, it was where he kept League's confidential information, research he carried out, and other documents. Being called into the office implied that Ash and Gary had gotten into trouble but, since Daisy was present, they quickly ruled that possibility out.

However, the manic gleam in the Professor's eyes and the massive mug of coffee he held put them on guard. A month and a half earlier, in the middle of one of the Professor's classes with Gary and Ash, Professor Oak received a call from one of his fellow Professors. The children could only imagine the calling scope as they heard nothing other than the Professor's slightly maniacal laughter and his quick retreat to the office, where only muffled sounds were heard.

Since then, the Professor has closed himself in the laboratory with only a few carefully selected laboratory assistants and researchers. The only time the Professor left the laboratory for more than eating and showering, he left Pallet in the morning and only returned in the late afternoon with a carefully sealed box. Daisy swore that the whole time he walked down the halls to the lab, mumbling about 'showing how right he was.'

He should have succeeded in his attempts if the excited screams a few days before were any hint.

“Uhm, Grandpa? Not that it's great to see you with some semblance of coherence and signs that you slept more than two hours... But why did you call us here?” Ash had to hold back his laughter at Gary's cheekiness. The boy could be sweet, but most of the time, he didn't have the necessary tact in conversations, even with his family.

“Well, as you know, I've been a little busy recently…” Daisy interrupted the Professor's explanation with an amused tone.

“A little bit, it’s an understatement, Grandpa. I barely saw you, and I've been here for a week and a half. And according to what these two said, you dropped out of a class after a phone call without a word. What is it that kept you in the lab for so long?”

“If you didn’t interrupt me, you would already know the answers, my dear.” The reprimand, although calm, was firm, making Daisy blush in embarrassment, although she punched Gary's arm after he mocked her. “As you know, after the call I received, I'm holed up in the lab. And I am pleased to inform you that in addition to confirming a theory, I also present to you the newest evolutions of Eevee: Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokemon, and Leafeon, the Verdant Pokemon.”

Two quadrupedal Pokémon trotted out of one of the office doors. Ash and Daisy were ready to coo at the cuteness of both Pokemon, and Gary seemed to be holding back from doing the same. The Professor seemed very smug about their answers.

"Not that I'm not happy to have the opportunity to learn about Eevee's new evolutions, Professor, but… Technically, shouldn't we wait for all the regional Professors and the Pokemon League to announce their existence before you tell us about them?" Despite her question, Ash seemed mesmerized as he ran his hand through Glaceon's fur of different shades of blue. It was cold, like the winter snow, but thicker and softer than it seemed at first glance.

“Normally, I would keep this information away from you, yes. But this time is different.” Samuel answered upon hearing the loud purrs coming from Leafeon, thanks to Gary and Daisy's pets. “However, exceptions are sometimes made. These two eeveelutions, pardon the pun, were accidental discoveries in Sinnoh. Both Eterna Forest and a cave near the city of Snowpoint, there is a rock that emits energy, a kind of aura, if you want to call it that.”

“Two trainers at both locations owned an Eevee near these rocks. For unknown reasons, the two Pokemon approached these rocks and touched them. After that, they began to emit a glow similar to that of evolution, which, when it dissipated, showed a Pokemon similar to the specimens you are seeing.”

“Does this mean that these rocks have the same effect on Pokemon as Evolutionary Stones?” Daisy seemed delighted with the possibility, and no wonder. As trainer and coordinator, there was always the possibility of her catching a Pokemon that only evolved with an Evolutionary Stone, which, in addition to being very expensive, they were scarce, so only with great luck would she find one in the wild.

“At least in Eevee, yes. Professor Rowan and his team of researchers and scientists are testing the possibility that these rocks can evolve other Pokemon.” He moved towards his desk to rummage through something before continuing. "However, the existence of two new Eevee evolutions opens up the question of whether there are any more we don't know about. As you can imagine, this question has put all researchers and Professors in a race against time as to who will discover the answer first. The usual, as you know.”

“Okay… But what does that have to do with the fact that you are sharing relatively confidential information?” Gary had a great point. While anyone could become a Pokemon trainer, few researchers went on a Pokemon journey, even among Regional Professors.

Professor Oak had been a very talented Pokemon trainer when younger, winning several Leagues and Tournaments when he was younger. He and Agatha of Kanto's Elite 4 had been friendly rivals when teenagers, even when he became the Champion of Kanto and Johto. Four years later, however, he resigned and focused on becoming a Pokemon Professor and eventually the Kanto Regional Professor.

Despite this, he still had privileged access to confidential League information and research not shared with the public. Thanks to that, he was wary about who he trusted and how much information he let his grandkids and Aisha know.

“Not all Pokemon research reaches the public eye for security reasons, as you know. Sometimes, only the original author, the Champion, and the Elite 4 can access them. But some exceptions like these, when a researcher can't prove their hypothesis in the laboratory, and that is where you come in.”

He showed the three shrunken Pokeballs in his hands before enlarging them and releasing the three balls of brown fur inside them, which quickly surrounded Glaceon and Leafeon.

“Each of you will receive an Eevee. They will be your partners from now on. I need help discovering the possibility of Eevee's evolution through Trainer-Pokemon bonds. There could be many other possibilities, but for now, I wanted to test this possibility.”

That day was the first of many where Ash, Gary, and occasionally Daisy would go on missions to help Professor Oak with some research. Some were more sensitive than others, but none matched the joy that Ash and Gary felt upon obtaining their first Pokemon.

Not even Delia complained about Eevee's presence when she signed the necessary releases, even though Ash swore he heard her humming happily about 'being a Pokemon researcher'.

Delia Ketchum was, for the most part, a good mother. Or at least she thought she was a good mother.

Despite her time at the restaurant, she managed to meet her and her daughter's needs. Of course, she had to ask Professor Oak to look after Ash in the meantime, and Samuel had to become the legal guardian to ensure her daughter wasn't left alone for too long. But she supported all of Aisha's attempts at career choice. 

After all, becoming a researcher or even a teacher (like the time she helped that Kalosian girl when she asked Samuel to help out at the Pokemon Field) was something she was pretty talented at. Fortunately, Aisha had stopped talking about being a Pokemon trainer; too many dangers on the journey, and she would always be far from home. And as her mother, it was her job to show him the errors of her ways.

Unfortunately, for that to happen, Aisha would still have to train a Pokemon, but Eevee was adorable enough to tolerate her presence until she evolved. After all, Samuel just needed to confirm the possibility of evolution.

Aisha, sides being timid, was nothing less than determined. Despite the rather evident tips she gave to her mother, she still thought she wanted to be a researcher.

But her mother also thought she and Damien were in the stage of pulling each other's braids, despite the black-haired girl punching the boy in the face hard enough to break his nose when she caught him mistreating Pokemons.  

At the very least, the dissociation periods have drastically decreased, thanks to the presence of Eevee. The moments of deja vu weren't gone, but at least Ash wasn't caught up in them, making her day with less white space. 

Eevee had an incredible passion for battle, which made Aisha's blood run faster. The two were an unlikely pair, with Eevee being a stubborn, confident, and argumentative girl and Ash being a reserved, quiet but secret smile that often kept trouble. It was not uncommon to find them both dozing by the river listening to the ripple of the water or the chirping of the Pidgeys. It was here, too, that years later, Ash would spend time with her Pokemon family between trips.

Two months after Eevee fully mastered Shadow Ball and Double Kick, while demonstrating them to the Professor and his mother, Ash's Eevee would evolve into a beautiful Espeon.

"Oh my..."

"She evolved!!!"

Daisy grabbed Ash's camera and demanded a photo of the two partners. It was necessary to immortalize the proof of a bond between a trainer and a Pokemon.

"What do you mean by trainer?" asked a shocked voice. Delia looked like she'd been lied to all her life, while Ash looked faintly green.  I should have known , she thought slightly in anguish;  she agreed too effortlessly .

"Then?" continued the irritated woman, "What's with her being a trainer?"

Ace- Gliscor

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?!?

vampire-bat scorpion thing :/

Ace is completely confused about Gliscor, and is also low key terrified

I mean, the way the met, Gliscor literally swooped in and picked Ace up and into the air

so while Ash and Gliscor are laughing their butts off, Ace is up in the air, scarred for life

also doesn't help when Ash explains the dex entry about how silent and deadly Gliscor is

let him down!

Ash sorta starts to take pity on him and makes Gliscor put him down, but now whenever Ace shows up, Gliscor will always be there to swoop him into a 'hug'

spare him pls (lmao no)

Deuce- Sceptile

as Sceptile stared at the poor boy, there was only one thought in his head

SO COOL!!!

meanwhile, Sceptile's looking at him like "who's this weird lost child?"

"the one that destroyed the chandelier"

"a h"

Takes a while, but Deuce manages to just barely get Sceptile to warm up to him

the two then have this weird truce, mainly because Sceptile kind of likes him if he ignores the dumbassery

totally has the same "talk shit, get hit" vibes Deuce gets, so there's a sort of unity the two gain when protecting Ash/when they just generally get pissed off

Deuce watches Sceptile use his moves and he's awestruck, lmao

"No Deuce, you can't learn Leaf Blade..." -Ash Ketchum

Sceptile sorta just keeps to himself for the most part though

they can actually coexist in the same room unlike Ace and every single one of Ash's pokemon lmao

Jack- Lycanroc

a wolf, with rocks in it???

doesn’t it hurt?

and he gets his answer when Lycanroc loses its mind when he tries to pet it

"yeah, don't do that, Lycanroc hates it when people or pokemon mess up his fur"

"oh NOW you tell me" meanwhile he's got a rock painfully poking his side

Ash explains how Lycanroc actually went on full rampages whenever he got dirty, and Jack is glad he didn't get an Accelrock to the face

it takes a bit, but Lycanroc does warm up to Jack more than the rest of Ash's pokemon, mainly because wolf solidarity

if Ash is hanging out with Jack, then you best believe that Lycanroc is close by

Epel- Gible

out of all of Ash's Pokemon, Gible is one of the few to warm up to the guys quite quickly

but in all seriousness, Gible actually really likes Gible, and the dragon is growing on Epel, so if he ever does get bit again, he literally just shrugs it off

Ortho- Krookodile

this is probably the weirdest pairing

saw Krookodile and thought he was the coolest ever, especially with his sunglasses

enjoys watching Krookodile train with all of Ash's other strong/fully evolved pokemon, especially since he can record data for himself later

with such a wide movepool (knowing Dragon Claw, Aerial Ace, Dig, and Stone Edge) Ortho is in awe

100% the two would power up a death laser/Stone Edge in an attempt to destroy the school together

the amount of pictures he has with Krookodile is astounding, Idia is lowkey jealous

his personal fave is of him with Krookodile and they both have sunglasses on, looking cool

Sebek is too loud for Sirfetch'd, and he insults their trainer any chance he gets

every time he gets his ass kicked though, he blames Ash for it, and at one point, homegirl just picks him up and tosses him across the yard

Sirfetch'd is laughing and Sebek would be lying if he said he wasn't scared (because he was)

slowly learns to respect Ash and her ability to keep up with her Pokemon

grows to tolerate Sirfetch'd, and same is said for the 'mon

they would come gradually, I feel like her having all her Pokemon with her from the beginning is a bit OP, so I decided that her Pokemon would gradually join her to help her with whatever the next OB or challenge is

and I’m quite a big Snivy fan myself (fun fact: Snivy is the first starter I’ve ever chosen for a Pokémon game) but out of all the Pokémon, I feel like my favourite would have to be Totodile, solely because every time I see him dancing I always smile because it’s so cute ☺️
