OK LONG POST HERE WE GO!!!

i had the absolute privilege of seeing WVU/metropolitan theater ride the cyclone not once, but twice this week (opening and closing nights!!)

and lemme tell ya it was AMAZING. definitely one of my favorite casts/productions i’ve seen. so here’s the thoughts:

number one: it was overall very similar to 2016 original cast!! many of the actions were played very similarly to that one,, but it was also very different. bc script changes (i still miss ricky conceding, love conquers all and oceans line about not knowing/caring abt people in life and regretting it though) but also bc there were puppets. more on that later lol

-the set was AMAZING, here’s a picture i took from today before it started

and going off of that. fuckin look at karnak!!!!! he’s so cool! reminds me of a muppet in the best way lol

-i also swore that virgil was wearing an ‘in case i make it’ by will wood shirt. i don’t actually think he was for a few reasons lol but i do think it was a very similar design fghgfd

-i love the uranium suite choreo so much. ocean put SO MUCH into those little scoop thingys fhsjhd but whenever they Died,, the round and round part,, the choreo looked more like the choreo from way back during waiting for the drop and i LOVE THAT. i miss that song a lot too.

-THEY ALSO DID THE WOO!! BEFORE THE END AND I LOVE THAT TOO!!!!!

-the layout of the coaster was cool: it was

OK,, JANE DOE: i love her design in this one. she had pink ribbons on her pigtails and big ole eyelashes and i LOVE HER.

-she also had a comb for her dolly and used it to stab it while she was talking abt the lion thing. it was really funny fhsjhd

-her way of talking was also really cool. she broke off the sentences in different places than what i’ve heard before and just kind of had more of a sort of curious and clueless way about her. it was like “and so. i walk alone and wonder. why?” and just. her <3333 she was so good.

-during oceans little monologue (her speech) before what the world needs,, jane also put her head on constance’s shoulder and just. amazing. it was so funny she’s so sweet fhsjhd

-during the new birthday song (or. after it while they’re all talking) she was also super cute.. like played around w her party hat and ricky’s little xylophone thing he was playing for the song. i just think she’s great fhsjdh

ok back to The Rest,,

-seeing the upop bits was hilarious. like i’ve read them and seen a few performances of it,, but seeing it live was so good fhjshd also constance’s costume had such cute details!! she had rainbow details on her shoes and a couple enamel pins on her pinafore!

-constance and ocean also did their little handshake thing as part of their dance during its just a ride and that made me almost cry too fhsjdh

-they added “prestigious university” into oceans list of Reasons She’s The Best or whatever. it’s funny bc wvu is Not At All That lol hdjshdjs (edit: finally reread the new script and Yes that’s in there but it is still Really funny lol)

-ok what the world needs was so funny. love love love ocean (she’s the worst!!) but this one was like. manic abt it in the best way. her riff at the end was hilarious too. a lot of “ooooh i’m better than youuuu and youuuu and allllll of youuuohooooohohohooooo” it was great. also the turntable was super cool in this show bc it was like a mini stage which helped w levels and stuff too! (another note abt this ocean, she definitely made her own choices but she also rlly reminded me of tiffany which was fun!!)

-this noel was. SO gay. they all are. but This One. GODDAMN!! he was awesome. he did the intro monologue in a much more dramatic way than khobly (still referencing my 2016 thoughts) ..like kholbys version was kinda done like. noel was slightly embarrassed not abt who he was but like,, more so circumstancial stuff if that makes sense? he got excited abt the whole missing teeth thing and all, right. (just to give a reference on how these noels are different!!) this noel was drawn out dramatic through the wholeeeee thing. he was amazing.

-the taco bell picture comes up and mischa’s like hahahhaa the Fuck lol and noel starts like pouting. “what is That” “i was hoping you could tell me” “NO!!☹️” bro sounded like he was bout to cry dhshdh he was so good

-OK THE QUICK CHANGE!! y’all know how he kinda strips in 2016 and Other versions? NOPE THIS ONE WAS ALLLL TEARAWAY!! it happened so fast,, he was like FINE *RIP* and BOOM lingerie. it was incredible. he also wore on of those long fluffy flowy “i just killed my husband for the money” robes. y’all he looked so good

-today was especially great. noel’s lament was insane. i have literally never heard a louder audience for anything. every time he’d do anything people would scream (bc he was fucking killing it) and when he went down to “die” the first time. he just kinda sat and did the little wave to get people to make more noise. it was amazing. i wish i could’ve fuckin videod or some shit bc it was soooo good.

-mischa. mischa bachinski. this guy was perfect for him (i am so sorry i don’t know the actors names by the way). tbh i love when mischa’s short. and bouncy. his rage was a lot of jumping and punching air and just. i loved that for him. TSIA was hilarious as usual, it always is. i really liked how they Made a jet with their arms on that line,,, but TALIA. she was actually an actress on stage and they did the whole dance together and then she ran away on the last OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH and it was SO good wtf. talia Always gets me so this was so exception for sure.

-this entire cast is definitely one of my favorites for sure. but tHIS RICKY IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE ONE EVER. he was incredible y’all. like they all were but. ricky. his choices like. landed SO perfectly every time. “i’m tellin’ you right now, monkeylovedrop! :)” SHIT WAS AMAZING (not to mention i didn’t know abt ricky’s new background in the script so that was also fucking hilarious.)

-not to mention the way he did the very end section of the song the way alex did,, like melody wise?? i LOVE THAT (i just like hearing it that way more lol) so that made me super happy.

-oh and remember how i said there were puppets? i fuckin WISH i could’ve taken a picture of it. the zolarians were cat puppets that came out from the alcoves on the sides of the stage and they were fuckin NEON BLUE AND GREEN with holographic details. no one was ready for that but it was PERFECT DFGHJGFGH

-also the actual sabm costume??? he was glittery and neon and flared pants and heeled boots and neon green cat ears and he LOOKED SO MF GOOD HAHAHAHA

-the energy of the whole fucking show was so amazing. especially today (closing performance). people were cheering through the whole damn thing it was perfect.

-TBOJD: the way she said MY TURN!!! was so cute. it was like !! MY TURNNNN !! all excited and drawn out a little. good for her.

—but mainly. there were 2 things happening here. 1) the actress was AMAZING. i think she also may be one of my favorite janes ever. she did this Thing with her hands at one point,, and i can’t really describe it,, but it was like she was just trying to make sure she could still Feel. and it was rlly cool. 2) MORE PUPPETS!?!?!?! this time it was when the music kicked up,,, the rest of the choir was doing their own sick choreo but there were also uhhh big ass worms among them too. they were actually pretty cool.. big teeth and the way they moved was really fun to watch but it did feel a touch overcrowded at times 🙃

-THE OTHER THING WAS THE FLIGHT!!!!! SHE STILL FLEW!! she didn’t go upside down or spin but the fact she went up as high as she did (like above the spinny thing on the stage part of the set) was incredible. and yes ofc she absolutely MURDERED THOSE HIGH NOTES IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. i was mentally taking notes on her techniques the entire time fhsjhd (fun fact,, after the song today when i cheered/screamed for my applause i did in fact hit the note dhjshd it was a surprisingly supported one too lol)

-sugar cloud: JANE STARTED THE CHOREO AND THEN THEY ALL DID IT AFTER HER <33333 i will always love how sugar cloud is just Them uninhibited. it’s so good that way. this constance was also SO good with the way she did the monologue too. there were a few strong hints of regret but overall it was just Acceptance and moving forward and just hnnnnnnn she was wonderful.

-AND THEN THERE WERE MORE PUPPETS!!!! legit just little blobs of color that danced a little bit too. very cute, very constance fhsjhd my friend said the orange one was her favorite character and stole the show even lol. they were very expressive hfjdh

-there were a LOT of points where the audience were clapping along too and it made me sooooo happy. there was a part in noel’s lament, talia, and sugar cloud and just <333

-another few points that i saw throughout the show,, noel and constance besties. they were always hangin around each other.. same w mischa and constance. she’d make her quips against ocean and mischa’d be like YEAAHHHHHHH!! legit heard constance go-after the upop drugs bit- “yeah! you liked that one!! i’d been working on it for a bit!” <333

-really maybe just noel besties with everyone bc he also gave jane like. a Good hug before she left.. <33

-last thing that had me Dying,, noel also went up to ocean and put his hand on her shoulder and stood real close to her after she made her final vote. and ocean looked at him and leaned into it. and just. the growth from them both for that <3333 they’re so special to me.

-legit i think the only remote criticism i have is that it’s just a ride went SO FUCKING FAST???? like i don’t think y’all are taking enough of a look around at that speed lol.. it just wasn’t enough time to rlly enjoy how good that song is yknow.

overall wvu rtc completely blew me away and i desperately hope SOMEONE has a slime tutorial of it because GODDAMN THAT VERSION WAS GOOD!!! i need more ppl to talk abt it dhjshdj

small update (11/24/2022)

I am almost done with the first draft of chapter two! I knew the coding would be pretty intense but I didn’t realize how branch happy I am. Every time I finish a sequence of dialogue or add in some internal monologue I just want to keep writing more choices and more branching options which makes the story more meaningful and detailed, but a one page scene could be, like, four pages of just coding so I’ve been trying to find a balance of adding what I want but cutting things out that are not exactly needed to progress the story.

On top of that, Chapter 2 is nothing like chapter 1 in the sense that it expands the world into the town of Emberwood and we meet all types of side characters and such. Chapter 1 and the prologue were easier because it felt very contained, but Chapter 2 is when the antagonist comes into the picture and MC is thrown headfirst into the drama of these side characters and the main plot, so I’ve been really careful in making sure every piece is in its rightful place (hence the slow coding). This is a story where, depending on your choices, you may not get all the information or different information, which can make me feel the sense that I’m writing two separate main plots ahaha it’s fun, but a lot of work. (This also explains my inactivity, I’ve just been focusing on writing for now)

I’ve finally implemented the stat system and have fixed the relationship stats and all the bugs in chapter one, and have added a bit more to thicken the scenes. this update will be the last time I touch the prologue and chapter one lol. I am a bit of a perfectionist who is never satisfied soo yeah bad combination. 🫣

Alex’s rival route will be added in chapter two, while Dani’s will probably be chapter 3/4. There’s been a lot of hidden stats added, a lot of overlapping relationship stats and personality changes and such. I’ve been really proud of the work so far! I hope you guys like it !

Because of this, i will likely be looking for beta testers sometime this week or the next :) and they will become the first people to read chapter two, woo!

Also, we’re almost at 1.5k <3 thank you! With all the convos I’ve had with you guys and stuff, it doesn’t feel like I made my intro post just two months ago, it always surprises me how enthusiastic you guys are ! Thank you :,)

ok so like. last week i got to play inscryption for myself using my uncle's ps4 YIPPEE

im just gonna ramble about my experience playing it here becuz why not :3 this is a very long post with large walls of text so be warned! only read if you wanna hear my dumb rambling :D (SPOILERS AHEAD!)

ACT 1:

i spent. way too much time on act 1..

1st play of act 1 went on as usual, ya beat the prospector then ya get to the angler too fast too soon then you fuckinf die yadda yadda yadda

so i think the game expects you to like beat the angler on the 2nd play of act 1. and i didnt. i made total misplays (becuz im a silly idiot :D) so i died to the angler and i had to restart.. i mean at least i wont have to restart at the trapper when leshy decides to pull out 8 fucking bears :3

ok my 3rd play of act 1! wow!! i should be able to get to the trapper now right? :0 no. i died at the angler. again. GRAHH

4th play. i think this was my best play yet becuz i got lucky to have squirrels with the 3 blood sigil and i was ZOOMIN thru the bosses! i made it to the trapper so i thought i'd be able to finally win! until i accidentally. switched the squirrel totem head. with a different one. which means. squirrels did not have 3 blood anymore. so yeah i died to the trapper :3

5TH PLAY RAHHH at this point i just wanted to get act 1 over with.. i realised my items existed (i am the world's dumbest inscryption player) so i just stole one of the angler's sharks to get it over with quickly. i made it to the trapper again and WON!!

FINALLY MADE IT TO LESHY'S FIGHT! i mean i didn't rlly have a good deck so i was pretty sure i was gonna die.. and i did :] on the first phase. so back to the start for me! at least i got to listen to leshy's amazing theme..

6th play! it went on as usual except i was stuck at the trapper and had to die and restart :D i'm such a good player! /s i'm pretty sure the scrybes who were still stuck in their animal forms are disappointed in me LMAO

7th play. i'd say i had a good deck going on for me so i managed to make it all the way back to leshy's fight! i was surprised it didn't take me that long to get back honestly..

LESHY'S FIGHT! again! :D my poisonous 2/2 mantis god quickly pulled me through the first phase but sadly it had to die from the prospector turning it into gold D: (RIP mantis god..) i managed to get through the 2nd phase pretty easily becuz i had some strong cards already on the board! then it's finally time.. FOR THE MOON!! which i immediately killed with my poisonous cat :3 WOO ACT 2 BABY!!

ACT 2:

YIPPEE!!

i finally made it to act 2! i was shaking from excitement seeing all the scrybes in the intro becuz the fixation on this game is real :3 (my family thought i was weird lol)

spent like. 10 minutes deciding which deck i wanted to use.. i ended up going with leshy's becuz i didn't trust myself with using any new cards yet :D

i realised that it may have been a dumb move becuz i forgor that act 2 didn't have the option to give you squirrels n it would just give it to you randomly.. so it took me a while to get going :']

once i had more cards i had a good thing going for my deck! defeated the prospector and angler but the trapper took a few attempts.. then i defeated leshy! :D yippee!!

went to defeat grimora next becuz skeletons :3 and becuz i wanted the tomb robber card so i can use tomb robber and field mice for.. THE RAT DECK. basically you use tomb robber to summon 2 skeletons, sacrifice them to put field mice on the board and repeat until the board is full of field mice! THE RAT DECK!! (if you know specifically who i got that from then ily /p)

magnifuck was next and defeating the students was relatively easy thanks to THE RAT DECK but i completely forgor magnificus's gimmick was that he replaces your sigils so uh.. i was screwed on his fight for a while.. but i managed to defeat him anyways so fuck you magnificus :3

i saved enough foils to get ourobouros so i could do the silly OUROBOUROS GRINDING. :D i grinded my ourobouros up to 30/30 using tomb robber with the training dummy! (tomb robber is literally carrying me lmao)

P03! the silly robor!! surprisingly didnt take me that long to figure out the puzzles and the inspector and melter were defeated easily :D dredger finds the OLD_DATA then it is time to defeat P03!

P03 had me stuck for a moment with the whole convenyor belt thing until my ourobouros pulled up and i quickly turned things around :D but then i also forgor it scans your best card and copies them on it's side of the board so uh.. yeah the ourobouros grinding was coming back to bite me :skull: THANKFULLY i survived the ourobouros apocalypse and defeated P03!

the act 2 finale goes on as usual, P03 pulls out the OLD_DATA and funni robor goes spin while the whole game glitches the hell out :D (my family thought i actually did something to break the game LMAO) TIME FOR ACT 3!!

ACT 3:

funni robor. sadly didn't get to finish this act becuz i had to go home D:

YIPPEE botopia!! i was pretty excited for this act becuz i could see my beloved archivist :3

i uh.. i struggled literally the FIRST battle of P03's act and even when i was done with it, i lost on the second battle and i was stuck on the first and second battles of act 3 for a while.. fuck you P03 >:(

i only made it until the first checkpoint before i had to stop and go back home :[ no archivist..

that's about what i remember! it was painful but i had fun and i love this game sm! thank you for reading the whole thing if you did, i hope my dumb rambling wasn't too annoying :D

Looking Back On: Panic! At The Disco, “Vices and Virtues”

April 27, 2020

“Vices and Virtues” is pure steampunk in aesthetic and sound. It was the newest Panic! At The Disco album when I got into them in early 2011. It’s so good but I should stress that these articles cover my favorite albums – not the albums I think are technically the best – because If that were the case, I’d be writing about “Pretty. Odd.” (2008). Nothing else in emo can compare to it and most fans cite it as P!ATD’s best work. 

The album even received a short film! (Source: Youtube/Fueled by Ramen)

The album “Vices and Virtues” starts with “The Ballad of Mona Lisa” with its dark, moody tone and strong strings it sets the bar for new-wave baroque pop and immediately shakes away any fears of this being a basic album. The music video is wonderful and only builds upon the aesthetic as it takes place at a funeral. I won’t spoil the twist ending but it’s great. 

“Let’s Kill Tonight” is one of my all-time favorite P!ATD songs, placing among my top three. So everything has to be perfect when it comes to that level of my standards. The strings, the lyrics, the speed, the story is all breathtaking and accompanied by the music video, it is a song that well-defines the album. 

“Hurricane” is so good. I love the elevator-music-style intro right before the song shifts into high gear, it’s such an appreciated change of pace before such an intense song. The following track, “Memories” being next to “Hurricane” is so natural; they fit so well together. The lyrics in “Memories” talk of a young love that burnt out fast and the “Hurricane” is song about a fast young love.

Next is “Trade Mistakes.” If I haven’t gushed enough about the strings on this album, here, I have to. They fit so well. The chime noise is so weirdly creative but works so well. Perhaps it’s because of my own orchestra background, but the string work makes this album for me. 

“Ready To Go (Get Me Out of My Mind)” is next. Hot take here: the music video is amazing with its time travel storyline and isn’t too crazy for the album. I know that it got a lot of hate when it came out for “breaking” the narrative and I get that but I think that it works! Honestly, I used to hate it but I’ve grown to appreciate it.

“Always” makes me want to cry but in a good way. It was the first album released after the band split up which makes the emotion behind the post-split hit so hard. “Always” feels like it was written for the other bandmates. The emotion of “The Calendar” is so good. The ending acts as an intermission for the album. 

“Sarah Smiles” was written to woo Sarah, the woman who eventually became Brendon’s wife. It is so cute. I adore it with such romantic lyrics like “Sarah smiles like Sarah doesn’t care, She lives in her world, so unaware. Does she know that my destiny lies with her?” and “Oh Sarah, are you saving me?”

“Nearly Witches (Ever Since We Met…)” is such a good song. The demo version, remixed with the final cut became my ringtone for years. Nothing beats the intro after the choir singing and the strings. It feels the most like a Bohemian Rasphody echo with the multiple songs in one song. The transition between the intro to the bass really makes this song. 

Now onto the bonus tracks. “Kaleidoscope Eyes” is a great song but it ranks lower than the rest. It feels the most basic with generic lyrics and it would’ve tanked the album if it wasn’t a bonus.

“Oh Glory (Demo)” is amazing and clicks with the album but I understand why it wasn’t included as it feels uncompleted. 

“Stall Me” is such a bop, but I think the emotions around the break-up explain why it stayed as a bonus having two split songs would’ve been excessive.

The last few rapid-fire thoughts, “Bittersweet” is so well known, so I don’t even think of it as a bonus. “I Wanna Be Free” fits really well with “Ready To Go.” I think it was cut due to similarity. “Turn Off The Lights” should have made it to the album; it’s too good to have been a bonus.

Twinkling Watermelon Live Blogging

Came across some Tiktoks (I think the first one showed up on my FYP on my phone) about a deaf girl in school being tripped by a group of girls and a girl being nice to her and with a guy who's yelling at her for making fun of him but her not understand but then !! I found this Tiktok in the tags which has characters from this series and My Perfect Stranger who time travelled back in time to when their parents were teens! Not only that, the main guy in this is the son from 18 Again (aside: I've been Obsessed with this OST again for the past week this January), which this show kinda reminds me of even though that one had the parent turning young in current timeline rather than time travel. Then I realized that it's actually a really hyped show that everybody seems to be watching.

Anyway, been a long time since I watched a full-length kdrama that's not a rewatch (From Now On, Showtime! in June 2023), so I hope I love it. Again, bad timing because busy with school but the thing is, it's nearly always bad timing, so here it goes I guess.

The secondary guy and the cello girl are both annoying right now but I assume they'll both grow, get better, etc. like firstly my guy why are you following around and stalking this girl T.T if he wasn't so overwhelmingly charming/endearing and we weren't seeing his side, it'd come off much creepier. and she's obviously like being forced to be in a strict schedule because of her family or whatever (wearing the pink dress while longingly looking at the black one lol) and she'll stop being the "ice queen" as time goes on, but idk I feel like there are characters who are kinda snobby but makes you like them regardless, whereas she's not quite hitting that for me

Yi Chan having more people around him, whether be his bandmates or Chung Ah. like his grandma was there and that's good but I wanted Eun Gyeol to see that this time, he was saying goodbye to Yi Chan with more people arround him as support than the original timeline

Possibly a (coded?) convo between Eun Gyeol and Yi Chan about the time travel and the cassette or whatever. Maybe I should see if there's anything on AO3 for this because this seems more fanfiction's lane. I think I'm also okay that they don't quite seem to remember him except verrry hazy possibilities but the dad finding the voice tape is what's making me want more. At least Eun Yoo knows and is with Eun Gyeol in this not-quite-right world

It's good that we don't get every single thing wrapped up because shows that have a bit of stuff open-ended for speculation retain audience/fans well and there's also the aspect of letting the 1995 characters live their lives on their own, trust them to succeed and make it to 2023 well, theme that goes well with us not seeing everything. Time Travel Concept:

I guess something that's weird about time travel shows is that Eun Gyeol (and Eun Yoo) are the same people before going but with certain experiences (over the course of a couple weeks) whereas the people they have come back to have had different experiences for 28 years.

I wish they weren't famous as a family in the future. I'm glad they still had friends and I'm happy that they had money from Cheong Ah's side but... idk they're just different people when you're this rich and this influential and this famous. I wish they lived in a different house by themselves, even if a big rich people one, and that Chung Ah still did art and maybe Yi Chan could've participated in the Jinseng Instrument stuff but had his main job be something else, whether it be the restaurant or something else. There could be some influence allowed, like Chung Ah is a chaebol and a respected artist, Yi Chan somehow did smth similar to now but on a smaller scale, and Eun Gyeol as an up-and-coming band member who is recognized somewhat but not as famous to be chased down the street by a hoard of school girls.

Anyway, in the end, I'm glad Yi Chan didn't keep his hearing because in the show, it would've kind of undermined tings. Things happen, accidents happen, Yi Chan losing his hearing isn't the end of the world, he still deserves love and family and oppurtunity and for the world to accommodate his needs. The way he lost it was also good because despite Eun Gyeol's attempts, it happened that day and to save Eun Gyeol. Eun Gyeol's stint didn't change this specific aspect but it still changed a lot of things in a good way, leading to his new life in the future.

I just have to get used to these things in time-travelling shows where some people know about the magic while others don't, situations and people will be changed due to butterfly effect, etc. I guess I'm just unsettled by the fact that they have memories that Eun Gyeol does not and Eun Gyeol has ones they do not; that Eun Gyeol would've learned the guitar from somebody who is not Viva Music grandpa probably, etc. I'm trying to become less unsettled by the fact that they don't really remember Eun Gyeol because of magic and time logic or whatever and that they simply feel familiar to him.

As I was writing all this, I keep listening to You're Precious and My Song from the OST and ahh the You're Precious chorus really gets to me, feels like crying I don't get it the "ohhhh my love" literally brings tears to my eyes it has happened like 3 times now. and My Song is just so good in general.

General:

In 18 Again, the father wanted to pursue basketball after high school but had to give up due to teenage pregnancy and the kids and came back to his teen self where (among many other things) he got to play basketball in high school with his son. In this show, the father wanted to pursue music but lost his hearing and had to give that up but his son came to the past and got the chance to play in a band with his father and got to do the school festival he originally didn't get to do.

I'm fucking obsessed with this sort of concept.

It's got a good storyline, hilarious yet touching. Light-hearted but with many moments of weight. Entertaining to watch because why did I watch eps 13 and 14 and one of the earlier eps (2?) in bed on my iPad. We got to spend time with the different characters and pairs and the friend group together and it was vry fun.

There could be many pitfalls with the time traveling and the disability rep. I won't say there aren't any because some of the time loop stuff is kinda wonky if you look closely but I think that makes sense. I was really afraid that they'd make Yi Chan's hearing come back but I'm glad it didn't; it's just something that has to happen to him for no reason the way these things just happen sometimes.

The characters were well crafted and the acting was great. I liked all of them and each had moments of humour or emotions or romance and it was good.

Also, good faces sorry to say I'm shallow. Chung Ah gorgeous, gorgeous girl. I didn't find Se Kyeong attractive but the actress is sooo beautiful and charming as Eun Yoo (I know some people found her somewhat annoying but I liked her a lot). Ryeoun was really attractive as Eun Gyeol; when I first saw him in 18 Again, he was more posed as a loser kid and I was wowed by Lee Dohyun's face but here, he's so pretty and nice to look at and at certain angles, reminded me of Cha Eunwoo's face too (and a comment in this specific tiktok makes me think that it's not because I only know like 5 actors and so draw parallels between him and CEW lol). Then there were some other good faces too like Yi Chan sooo cute and round my pretty + the Kang Hyeon Yool guy was beautiful as well.

Kinda slow paced, there were certain episodes where I was like nothing really happened and we weren't closer to completing missions or finding out info but I guess that's the point of the slice of life aspect in some cases; just watching the characters exist alone and together.

Ships: I think I liked Chung Ah & Yi Chan more earlier on while I liked Eun Gyeol and Eun Yoo more later on. I was into the ChCh romance from the get-go and thought they were sooo cute whereas EunEun were a more fun menace pair who I just liked to watch fighting before it gradually became a couple I shipped Very Much. Also a shoutout to my Se Kyeong (OG, not Eun Yoo) and Chung Ah ship, I can't believe Se Kyeong's first love was her husband instead of Chung Ah (cold ice princess girl who is curbing every guy as they fall at her feet keeps chasing the girl who isolates herself to protect herself. Se Keyong asking about the Frida Kahlo painting and trying to bond over bands despite not liking it herself).

Well crafted show, good acting, hit some feels and I expect some attachment to it (I'm rewatching and skimming certain parts as I write lol).

Rating: 7.5/10 for now, could change 0.5 higher or lower in like a month as I assess my feelings

dear silent reader,

hihiiii!! Woo first diary entry didn’t think I would ever want one of these, but i will give it a try. My alias name is nana, nice to meet anyone who is reading these.  The purpose of this is just for me to write basically with anything I feel or I’m going through and stuff like that, who knows I’ll probably be gave you life lessons. You didn’t know you needed.  I will obviously put trigger warnings and such things if my post will have any of that in. But this is exciting and I can’t wait for what is gonna bring me on this journey. 

The first thing I wanted to bring out in this diary entry since I’m really done with intros. Is that roomie dumped today :( yes I am saying is I have been living with the same people for almost 2 years in out college house style dorms and now they want to go our separate ways and they didn’t even consider talking to me. They just let me know their final decision which kind of hurts because they didn’t even give me a reason why they don’t wanna live with me and I thought these roommates for my friends but I guess not . I know that they have a right, not to tell me the reasoning and such but we’ve been friends and roommates for two years I thought I would have the courtesy to informed why, You know. So now my plan for next school year, which is my senior year I don’t know what to do with housing. I think the best bet is to go into our apartment style dorms and have my college generate random roommates for me and pray and hope and manifest for the best.

But I think that’s a growing point. I think we all grew out of this friendship was only good for two years maybe unfortunately that’s how life goes on sometimes.  I cherish and love my memories I’ve created with both of these people and I’m grateful for my time with them and that they made a mark on my college journey here and if it’s the last time I talk to them after the semester, then it was meant to happen unfortunately .

For those of us who have seen Thor: Love and Thunder… (it was so freakin good!) Spoilers ahead!!! ⚠️

• That opening scene after the daughter died and Gorr finds his god only to realize he was a collosal ass was actually so hard to watch- like this dude really just told you his people all died after worshipping you and you wanna laugh and throw shit at him 🙂

• Y’all. I finally get what you mean when you fawn over Thor, ‘cause man was looking FINE with his new look in the beginning of this movie. Like, yeah obviously I could look at him and see mans was attractive but this was the first time bro was actually doin it for me. 😂 Only other people who’ve managed to do that are Bucky and Marc (I’m asexual y’all sometimes I’m just slow to it lmao)

• Seeing the Guardians again was actually so nice. Made me realize how long it’s been since we’ve seen them with all the other post-endgame movies that have come out. Seeing Quill and Thor being friends was actually really nice. Was definitely expecting the competitiveness still bc of the trailer but Quill was even a fan of Thor’s whole act so I call that growth 😂

• Loved seeing my girl Darcy/Kat way too much and that’s probably because I just finished watching 2 Broke Girls. Character’s just so underrated and I want to see her Monica and Woo all back together. But omg I don’t think she even got to say goodbye to Jane 🥺

• The way I thought it was out of five stages of cancer and not four, it just made sense to me

• The first two minutes of Jane’s intro were already more interesting to me than anything she’s ever done in the first two movies. Not exactly a Jane hater am I, but I definitely didn’t think she was interesting enough on her own let alone to be Thor God of Thunder’s love interest (although I found the first two Thor movies incredibly boring too so maybe it’s their fault and not hers 😬) but I feel they definitely fixed that with this movie

• Actually loving them calling her King Valkyrie because yes it’s like making girl boss moves playing chess not checkers

• Jane’s move of splitting up the broken pieces of Mjolnir to attack multiple people at once is so badass???

• Sooooo NOW y’all wanna make me ship Jane and Thor?! Had three movies to do it before and gave me less than 0%. Why couldn’t they show us a glimpse of any of these flashbacks then 🤡

• The personification of Mjolnir and Stormbreaker were really a nice touch. Mjolnir actually heeding Thor’s wish when he asked it to protects her is pretty sweet and adorable

• Thor really has a thing with people copying his look. “I see you’ve copied the beard.” // “You’re wearing my look.”

• My God when he leveled up his armor with all those bright colors after he saw Jane’s he looked like a freakin Transformer to me

• Thor is not as skilled in giving inspirational speeches as ol’ Stevie was and I admire him for always trying and knowing that’s enough 🥹

• Jane and Valkyrie are actually extremely adorable and I love them, she’s like her goddess mentor

• “Eat my hammer” is giving… “get a face full of my hammer” and I’m down with it the way she delivers it lmao

• It’s the way I should’ve expected to see Thor/Hemsworth buns uncensored in this movie and I didn’t 😂 was completely surprised when my mom actually laughed at the women fainting she’s so conservative

• YES VALKYRIE WIELDING THAT LIGHTNING BOLT LIKE A QUEEN

• Okay Jane has such a flourish to her fighting movements and I freaking love it

• Jane actually staying in the hospital to let Thor take the reigns going forward was such satisfying character growth

• Holy crap the gifs y’all make of this movie are gonna look great- that rainbow bridge shot when the goats crash through the ceiling and the extension of Thor’s powers to the kids making a tree were so cool

• Did the wish granting space person thingy look like The Watcher to anyone?

• I’m really glad they had Gorr make the right decision to bring his daughter back. I thought it was gonna be the type of situation where when they break his sword he would stop being corrupted. Still not clear on why he was dying in the first place tho

• Thor having a DAUGHTER?! SO STINKIN CUTE AND PUREEEE 😭 Idk if y’all comic readers already knew about this but I never would’ve guessed that was where the movie would end up. (For X-Men lovers I went home and watched Logan right after that too so my heart’s been through the Daddy-Daughter ringer 🥺)

• My moments of realizing why it’s called Love and Thunder and why they kept using the song Sweet Child O’ Mine shown through emojis: 😯😱🙊🥺🥹

• Hercules?! Hell yeah

• I was hoping my good sis would make it into Valhalla with the died-of-cancer/saved-all-of-god-kind card. Certainly was nice seeing Heimdall again

That’s everything I remember off the top of my head but this really was such an exciting, funny and hilarious two hours of entertainment. Definitely see it in theatres if you can guys 🧡

Korean Frankenstein masterpost (Act 1)

I’ve seen a lot of people ask where to find the Korean Frankenstein musical, so I’ve decided to make this masterpost. This will have links to youtube videos and be updated with links to translations as I find/make them. I’ll also be providing what context I can based on what I remember from having watched the musical once like 4 years ago. Since Korea almost always double, if not triple, casts their main actors and different actors have different takes there’s likely gonna be a variety of actors throughout the videos playing the same character.

Overture: the intro to the musical, not much else to say

The Only Future: (translation in the Act 1 highlights video) Henry Duprè has been court martial-ed and was meant to face the firing squad due to his unwillingness to let those deemed “unsavable” due to their injuries die. Right before his execution day, Victor requests Henry’s presence and determines he requires Henry’s assistance in his project, thus saving Henry from death.

A Monologue: (translation in Act 1 highlights) Victor and Henry have been honorably discharged before finishing their project and have decided to continue their project at Victor’s laboratory. This causes Victor to be late to his engagement party to Elizabeth (who’s apparently been renamed Julia? But she’s most definitely supposed to be Elizabeth so I’ll continue to call her as such for familiarity’s sake) and when he does come he’s made fun of and ultimately decides to leave again, as his work is more important.

Life in a Glass of Liquor: (translation in the Act 1 highlights) Victor’s in a slump because nothing has been going right in terms of the project so Henry cheers him up.

The Murderer: (translation pending) An explanation as to how Henry got put on trial for murder. Victor and Henry required body parts for their project and had enlisted the help of the local mortician. However, when they went to receive the fresh head/brain they required the mortician revealed the head of Walter, a child who had disappeared recently. Angered by the greedy mortician, Victor ends up killing him. Knowing the ramifications of this, Henry takes the full blame for both the murder of Walter and the mortician. Elizabeth and Ellen (Victor’s older sister) confront Victor about the trial.
