Eddie finally opens Tinder after downloading it in a fit of desperation.

He's tried everything but these stupid apps—bars and clubs and pottery classes and rock climbing—trying to find someone he can connect with.

But he's mostly found guys that string him along with whispered sweet nothings and half-promises they don't intend to follow through on.

So he makes his profile and then promptly fumbles and drops his phone because— no fucking way.

There's no way this is real life.

There's no fucking way the first guy to pop up is Steve fucking Harrington, his unfortunate and longest lasting crush in high school.

He picks up his phone and sees Steve's face staring back at him, unassuming, a bright, cheery smile on his face.

Steve, 28 2 miles away "Hope you like bad boys because I have it on dvd and vhs" Interests: baseball, basketball, live music, movies

He taps to get to the next photo and lets out a shaky breath—the shorts of what can only be his Halloween costume are so short, exposing hairy thighs that Eddie wants to sink his teeth into.

The next photo is a snapchat picture of him grinning wide, cradling what might be the world's ugliest dog, the text across the screen reading my nephew is so handsome 🤩🤩🤩.

The last is an obligatory shirtless mirror pic, not showing off washboard abs, but the soft, toned skin of his stomach.

He closes the app, sets his phone down, and breathes through his nose.

This can't be real, right? In what world would Steve be the first person in a sea of profiles in San Francisco of all places?

Eddie expected him to chase after Nancy Wheeler when she went to Boston, but he didn't stick around long enough in Hawkins to find out if they ever rekindled their will-they-won't-they relationship.

Maybe he's just visiting. Maybe he found his match and just forgot to delete Tinder. Because there's just no way Eddie has this kind of luck.

He opens up Instagram and searches for Steve and finds him right away because they're probably still Facebook friends.

He scrolls through his profile and deflates a little, because all of the pictures on Tinder are from his Instagram. Which means it's probably much more likely that someone is catfishing using Steve's pictures.

Because the Steve from high school wasn't into men. And he's hot enough for someone to use his pictures to scam people or whatever.

He opens up Tinder again and his thumb is swiping right before he thinks about what he's doing.

It's a match!

Okay, now he knows it's a catfish. Or maybe it's a bot.

There's no world in which Steve Harrington would swipe right on him in the twenty minutes it's been since he created his account.

He types a message to "Steve" saying so are you a bot or just a catfish?

He doesn't get a response right away, so he clicks out of the messages, looking at profiles of what are hopefully actual people he can connect with.

His phone buzzes when the message from Steve comes in.

He rolls his eyes and goes back to perusing profiles. It's not like he thought it was really Ste-

His phone pings with another message and he clicks back into the chat immediately.

Eddie's heart beats a little faster, his fingers typing out a response.

Springin' Chip with a 24' page update!

Greetings, dear follower! th3-0bjectivist has appointed me, Chipper the Springer Spaniel, as the official page mascot and acting spokescanine of this blog moving forward. It sure is great to be here! And might I say, the range of my vernacular as a mere canine has increased something like 28000% in just the last few weeks thanks to the hard lessons I’ve endured so far. Late nights in front of an English dictionary, lots of treats, and tons of sleepless nights have transformed me into perhaps the only English-literate puppy that has ever existed on planet Earth. From this point forward, I plan to operate as an empathetic, humorous, and nurturing presence to all of those on Tumblr into 2024 and beyond!

If you wanna know a little more about me to start, so far in life, I enjoy 1. Voraciously sniffing all manner of ass and crotch (if you approach me, please just spread fully eagle for one full minute, it lets me know who you are without you saying a word) and getting my own ass/crotch sniffed! 2. Pissing indoors (preferably on carpets to create an overpowering urine-miasma that permeates the entire room) 3. Attempting to playfully bite th3-0bjectvist directly in the balls with my nasty, bacteria-laden, inverted Spaniel teeth on a weekly basis!!

My pal, th3-0 and I, have long discussed my potential nickname on this blog. It has run the gamut from… Chip the Dip, to Chipper the Dick, to Chip the Prick, to Chipper the Testicle-Destroyer. In particular, the phrases ‘Stop biting me’, and ‘Hey, A-hole, cut that biting shit out’, and ‘Hey, dickhead, stop trying to bite my fuckin’ balls!!’ have strongly resonated with me as a puppy. I’ve realized very early on; it is essential that I improve my behavior otherwise I’m going to be hard-up on quality treats. And that’s what this blog will be all about moving forward… gradual improvement! Luckily, I have the good fortune of being cute as all hell. So, we graciously settled on the tentative title Springin’ Chip to instead highlight the positive aspects of our collective spirits and aspirations moving forward. New year, new positive goals! So I'm terribly sorry about this, but I can't really do that. Failure is set in HfaB, and I haven't fully explored Athanasia as a character, so I'm not super comfortable attempting to flesh her out at this moment. I can tell you the following about her though based off the one shot Failure:

-Athanasia is the Bruce/Talia tube baby storyline, she was grown in the tube with Lazarus Pit waters, and other fluids needed. No, Bruce and Talia are not aware of her existence; they both believe she was their miscarried child, and that miscarriage is what broke them up.

-She was raised as a slave in the LoA, she never had an opportunity to be an heir.

-She trained routinely with Grant Wilson and Jason Todd; she even later helped Jason escape.

-She and Jason are the exact same age, mere months separate them age wise; and I think Jason is still the older one, I'd have to double check my notes.

-Her favorite books are the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Series by Steig Larsson; Athanasia relates to Lisbeth Salander very well, and this is the reason that Athanasia went on to live in Stokholm, Sweden.

-She's a hacker and computer genius, she prefers not to be physical or violent, though she can be. She's assumed the mantel TH3 GH0ST (yes this is a nod to the video games where Bruce held the mantel the Ghost)

-Athanasia was sixteen when she escaped the LoA.

-She is in contact with Jason and Tim (neither are aware she's Bruce's daughter, and Tim doesn't even know her real identity; not for a lack of trying but they have a pen pal relationship exchanging chess moves and intel)

-She's had sexual relations with men and women; and like Jason has a complicated relationship regard sex and her actual sexuality (which is still unknown or not dwelled on).

-She has met and had dealings with Talia; Talia and Athanasia have a very bad relationship as a whole.

-She celebrated Ra's al Ghul's death by going on a three month long bender, in which she does not remember most of, but has photos spanning her travelling the Hindukush to piss on Ra's grave.

-She prefers cats to dogs, but reptiles to cats (I know, my soul evac'ed my body too when I figured that out).

-She is not a fan of spicy foods, but a lover of French cuisine, and Italian cuisine; she despises English food passionately.

-She is a meta, punk rock, classic rock, hard rock, and rock n roll fan (frequenting concerts for her favorite bands), she despises country music, pop music, and techno music; though she does enjoy clubbing and club music

-Her favorite drink is white wine, or sherry, she's an avid vodka drink too.

-She speaks the following languages fluently: English, Arabic (specifically the Pashtu and Egyptian dialects), Chinese, Swedish, and Russian. She understands the following languages: Italian, French, German, and Spanish.

-She likes motorcycles; holding cars in great disdain.

-She is a loner with known antisocial personality disorder as well as severe PTSD.

-She carries a Baretta 92F, and a P-83 Wanad (because she loves Lisbeth Salander), but she's familiar and comfortable with a Glock 17 too.

I hope that helps form an idea for the Athanasia I'll be introducing in Damned Prince of Gotham.

As I've moved into my 2nd phase of blogging by switching from “Str33t Music” to “Str33t Sounds” a few additional changes have been made:

1. There is no longer an IG account. Please refer to my Twitter and YT for the most active updates.

Let me introduce you to an acoustic guitar playing musician with soulful vocals & knack for versatility: FUZZZY. Hailing from Los Angeles, CA (Koreatown), Erin “FUZZZY” Kim infuses a refreshing mix of hiphop, soul & funk rhythm into his music. His creative flare has granted him many opportunities to perform and participate in a variety of shows like The Cypher Effect, featured at Da Poetry Lounge 2017, and even an opportunity to audition for season 7 of The Voice.  You can see him further stretching his skills as a vocal coach for BUZZFEED’s "I Trained Like A Kpop Star" and performing at Kollaboration LA & KXFest this past summer.

500 Follower Celebration!

500!!! I honestly cannot believe this - that the blog I started a year and a half ago (I think) to share my dumb self indulgent Jerome Valeska fic now has 500 followers. Whatever you came here for, whether its fanfic, incorrect quotes, or just fandom stuff, I am so grateful for each and every one of you.

Twelve years with the chance for probation. That’s what you were stuck with. Happy Trails Penitentiary wasn’t what you thought it would be but after what you had done, you were perfectly fine with it.  You weren’t one to talk to new people so when it came time for lunch you sat alone in a corner and prayed that nobody would sit next to you or even look at you. 

The potatoes weren’t the best you had but it was better than you expected and as you were poking at them you didn’t even notice the man that sat next to you. 

“Youse is new here. I’m Yancy,” he extended his hand out to you. “I saw you walk in and thought youse was the best looking person in this joint.” 

“Y/n and I’m sure that seeing somebody new has an affect on who you’re attracted to.”

He chuckled and god damn that was a beautiful sound. 

“Youse might be right. But you should come sit with the rest of us. Hank even has wine for us. 

Your plan was to just sit there in the corner for the next twenty years but when a man as handsome as Yancy asks you to sit at his table, you don’t argue and just go along with it. 

You followed the man to the table with multiple other people and you were instantly overwhelmed once they all started to surround you. 

“Hey fellas, stand back a bit shes new here.”

And so for the next few weeks you sat at the table and the other prisoners became like family to you. You and Yancy had gotten really close. He would spend most of his time with you whenever you could and he had a spare key to all of the cells so some nights you could sneak into one anothers cell. Sure he was attractive but you weren’t anything more than friends and while you would like for there to be more, you were perfectly content with how your life was with him just being a friend.

There weren’t many other new guards or other inmates. But, there was a new guy. His name was Lucas and he just wouldn’t leave you alone. It wasn’t until Yancy said something to him that he kinda backed off but you could still feel his eyes on you.  Three days into his sentence you went to use the restroom during lunch. It wasn’t in the same room as the cafeteria but it was down the hall a ways and since the guards trusted most of the inmates, they would let most of them just go off on their own. As you were walking out of the restroom, Lucas came up behind you and grabbed your hips, only resulting in you pushing yourself off of him.

“What the hell?!?” 

“Come on baby girl you know you liked it. Why would you want some pansy like him when you could have all of this.” 

“Fuck you!” you yelled at him before punching him in the throat. You wanted to go for the face but he was a lot taller and a hell of a lot bigger than you were and there was no way you would have reached even if you had wanted to. 

“Bitch,” he backhanded you and your face hit the concrete wall. “Kick her ass.” Lucas said to the two people who then walked out from around the corner. Of course they were both women and twins. 

“Too big of a bitch to fight me yourself Lucas?” If he replied you couldn’t hear it because the woman on your left with short black hair punched you followed by the other one with long brown hair that was tied back kicking you in the stomach. It took you a moment to shake it off but you soon got in with the rhythm of their movements and while you were taking an ass beating at least you were able to fight back. At least you wouldn’t be the only one bleeding. 

You had been gone for too long and while the gang told him that everything was fine, Yancy just couldn’t shake the feeling that you were in some kind of trouble. 

“Hey Tiny, can youse come with me to check on y/n?” 

“Sure thing Yancy.” 

Together they walked out into the hallway where the restrooms were and sure enough there was Lucas laughing as two women were fighting you. You were holding your own well but you were outnumbered. 

“I’ll help y/n boss go get that asshole.” 

Yancy nodded and sure enough Tiny was taking care of the brown haired woman while you focused in on the other one. Now that she didn’t have her partner, it was a lot easier to take her on. 

“Hey Lucas! I know youse have a problem with me so let's take care of it right here, right now.” 

“I’m not going to fight you. You’re not worth the waste of breath. And neither is y/n.” 

He could have said whatever he wanted about him but the second that he brought you into it, Yancy lost his cool. Nobody could get away with having people attack you then talk shit about you. Yancy didn’t think before he clocked Lucas in the face and he fell to the ground. Yancy was about to advance on the fallen man before he heard your voice.

“Yance, don’t. He’s not worth it.” 

He looked over and saw you bruised and bleeding. You and Tiny had managed to knock down and keep the other two women down. It was then that Yancy decided not to murder the man on the ground. Seeing his way out Lucas got up and walked down towards his cell.

“Come here sweetheart.” You started to walk towards him and he met you halfway. He walked you to the guard where Tiny told them everything that happened. Yancy walked you to the infirmary but it just so happened to be the nurses birthday so she wasn’t there so instead Yancy grabbed things that looked like they would be of use and walked back to his cell which was closer than yours. Jimmy followed you both and once you sat on his bed and Yancy put all the supplies next to you he went out of the small cell to talk to Jimmy. The other man nodded before walking off and Yancy came back to you. 

“Okay this isn’t going to feel good but just know that I’m not tryin to hurt you.” 

“I know you wouldn’t try to Yance. Just get it over with.” 

Other than you occasionally wincing when he would put peroxide on the cuts on your face (and him apologizing every time) he was gentle. 

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there sooner for youse. I should have been there to help you otherwise youse wouldn’t have gotten hurt.”

“Yance. Don’t try to blame yourself for what happened to me. You and Tiny came to help me before it got worse and that’s all that matters.” you put your hand on his and neither of you were used to the closeness that you were both currently at but all that either of you knew was that you liked it. 

“Let me put these bandages on you. Just be still.” 

As he put them on your face you could smell the sweet prison cologne that they gave them and for some reason it smelled better on him than it did anybody else. 

Suddenly there was music playing throughout the hallway. It was usual for this to happen and the warden liked to have music on once in awhile. 

“Do youse know how to dance?” 

“What? Oh no! I’ve never had the chance to learn.” 

“Well there’s no better time than the present.”

He extended his hand out to you and for a moment you hesitated. You weren’t used to so much and prison wasn’t the place that you thought that you would find a family but here you were, learning how to dance with the most handsome guy in the joint. It wasn’t what you were expecting when you got 20 years for arson but now that you were here and in the moment, it was nice. 

As you took his hand and stood in the cell with the soft love song that you didn’t recognize playing over the speakers you realized that this was the place for you. 

“Just let me show youse what to do and follow my lead.” 

He carefully and cautiously to his shoulders and placed his hands on your waist. And when he started to move you followed and it soon became easy to follow. 

You looked into his soft brown eyes and smiled and that’s when the moment of realization hit him, there’s nobody else for him. The way that something as small as dancing with him made you so happy and brought out the beautiful smile of yours, and if all of that could make his heart melt then there was no person he would rather be with. 

Just when he thought the moment couldn’t get any better, you rested your head on his chest. It was now or never. 

“Hey, uh, y/n?” 

“Yeah Yance?” “What would you-, uh see I kinda-”

You knew what he was saying and didn’t need anymore confirmation than what he was giving you in that moment. You moved your hand from his shoulder to the back of his neck to push his lips to yours. His lips were softer than you could have ever imagined and he was thinking the same thing. 

You pulled away and looked him in his puppy dog eyes, “I didn’t think youse would like somebody like me but I’ve been lost in you since the day you showed up.” 

“I was going to say the same thing about you.” 

“If I talked to the warden, would youse like to share a cell so we don’t have to sneak around every night?” 

“If he allows that, I would love to.” 

“Good because I talked to him this morning and he says that as long as we don’t get into a fight with each other then he doesn’t care.”

1500 FOLLOWERS CELEBRATION post w/ page mascot Springin' Chip!

Heya folks! Springin’ Chip here with a very special celebratory post! This last week, th3-0bjectivist hit 1500 followers! To be fair, about a quarter of his followers are more than likely AI pornbots, but let’s not get hung up on unnecessary details! Being a canine, there’s very little that I can personally offer our audience on Tumblr… save for some drool, dog snot, and poop. So, we’re going to celebrate the only way I know how!

Pictured with me in this photoset is my big sister, Ruby, and for this commemorative post you get to watch me beat her up! I assault my big sister all the time these days, sometimes for no reason, numerous times a day! I think she likes it! If weight class and overall size were a factor, Ruby could just brush my little Spaniel ass aside like a dust bunny. But she plays well with me, and just lets me kinda passively dominate her most days. Works for me! On with the festivities!!!

And now for some page lore! About a decade ago, th3-0bjectivist was comically barely known as v3ritasartiste on Tumblr. It was a page centered around conspiracy theories… and art, and music. And whooooooo boy, did it suck ass through a bamboo straw! The layout was atrocious, the conspiracy-addled dipshit in charge of the page had no idea what he was doing because he was high out of his mind on government-strength sativa and indica strains 24/7, and nothing he posted made a lick of sense! After gaining a whopping 78 followers over two years, butt-hurt and utterly disregarded, v3ritasartiste shut down his page out of pure frustration.

Yeah, take that Ruby! Years later, during the stay-at-home fallout from ***THE UNSPECIFIED VIRUS FROM UNKNOWN ORIGINS***, v3ritasartiste became th3-0bjectivist with three main goals in mind: 1. Jettison the conspiracy bullshit entirely 2. Create a page that actually makes contextual sense 3. Promote art, both own and others. And, by gum, it worked! Well… sorta. There was still a learning curve and he pissed off a few people to start things off (those blocks were well-earned in retrospect) because he was too brash and cocky, but some social refinement and further diversification of materials led us to where we are today. 1500 and counting!

Do ya see how Ruby just lets me rule her!? She could swallow me in a single gulp, damn I love her so much! Getting back to the point of this post, th3-0 wants you to know he greatly appreciates your follows, your likes, reposts, and most importantly your presence here on Tumblr! You may not realize it, but we’re all on a journey together while we’re on this platform. th3-0 has been able to share some of his joys, sorrows and art with you over the years… and those moments aren’t just precious, they are the universal moments that bring us all together as a species. Well… not me personally per se. Just to be clear, I’m a dog! Th3-0, who is a human, just wanted me to express those things to you… yeah, that’s the ticket.

Unlike last year, we’re at full mast with new art. We’ve got plenty of new paintings coming which just need to be more fully realized. We’ve practically cornered the market on original painting-animations on Tumblr, and musical entries and snarky commentary will continue to flow like wine until we’ve determined they are no longer working for us (which will be NEVER). Warts and all, th3-0bjectivist LOVES Tumblr. And just a reminder, if you’re ever interested in purchasing some canvas work, which would really help us, just head on over to our page on DeviantArt and browse the selections in the Featured section. Our wall decorations can make your home or business weirder and more wondrous at the same time! Tumblr restricts gifs to a pathetic 10MB download, which severely confines the visual quality of the gifs. Lupus - Have you abandoned other WIPs? Tell us about some and why you abandoned them?

My very first WIP was about a war between humans and a race of half-animal people that I lost interest in simply because the characters stopped standing out to me and I no longer knew where to take it (plus I have found that I do not enjoy writing about traditional war--at least in the sense of like. on the battlefield with troops and stuff).

Another was about a young woman with a tragic past who was actually a lost noble heir but I dropped that one because I couldn’t cobble together a plot and I hadn’t yet discovered the joys of worldbuilding.

And another was the beginnings of a story featuring some of the first OCs I made that had started off as Bleach OCs, but they ended up getting absorbed into Gods of War and the world we’d started building kinda just followed.

Normally I don’t consider WIPs abandoned though because more often than not the majority of the ideas get absorbed into a different, thriving WIP.

Puppis - Give us a piece of advice! (about anything)

You will be your happiest when you write for yourself.  Stop thinking about other people for once in your life, stop thinking about what’s been “done” or what’s “cringey.”  Have fun, because if writing isn’t fun for your, it shows.

This goes for life too, actually.  The moment I stopped caring as much about what the people around me thought, I became so much happier.

Forbidden romance, that trope where someone loses control and their loved one is the only one able to calm them down, someone is losing a fight but then their enemy says something and they just fucking LOSE IT, and “if i don’t hide this piece of myself literally no one will love me” just to name a few~
