Bullets and Broken Glass | G Callen | NCIS: Los Angeles
Tumblr media
No.26: Curse
Callen knew from a young age that some people were meant to be alone, that some were forever cursed to solitude, that some people did not deserve to be loved. For a long time he thought that he was one of those people.
And then he met her.
Agent (Y/N) (L/N) crashed into his life with a series of bullets and broken glass. She was on an undercover operation, sent in from the NCIS basis in Washington D.C, nobody in the L.A office knew that she was here. Hetty had a field day talking to Vance about her presence and her abrupt gatecrashing of their own operation.
It didn't take long for Callen to know he wanted her on his team; it also didn't take long to convince her Los Angeles wasn't so bad. Despite his reliance on his partnership with Sam, Callen always cherished the days where he ended up with her in the field instead. It took him months to realise that the ease and trust he felt with her was something more than a professional friendship.
He had never truly be in love before, so much so he didn't even clock onto the feeling until he found himself wrecked by another nightmare and he found himself driving to her apartment, craving her presence. He also did not realise that he confessed his love for her at her doorstep not even twenty minutes after.
Callen hadn't expected to have the pieces of his life fall into place shortly after. Everything started to make sense; he did not believe in fate, but even he would acknowledge that something greater was at play to send something so divine to him.
He should've known that it wouldn't have lasted forever.
He lost her the same way he had found her, with bullets and broken glass. Nobody had expected the operation to go wrong, the building was meant to have been abandoned weeks ago; they were just scoping out the place to see if anything valuable had been left behind.
They were right, the building was deserted, but the neighbouring rooftop was not. The glass window next the the staircase gave the sniper a clear and direct view to (Y/N). Nobody noticed the red dot hovering on the back of her head until she crumpled to the ground. She died before she hit the floor.
It took a few moments for Callen to notice that she hadn't dodged the attack. He had assumed she had dove for shelter when the gunshot fired. As soon as he clocked on to what had happened, he rushed to her side, pulling her body into his as if that would bring her back.
The crunching of the glass around him caused him to lift his head away from her. Sam, Kensi, and Deeks all stood there, looks of pity on their faces. Callen looked down at her again, not letting himself believe what had happened.
Eventually the M.E came and took her body away. Sam took Callen back to the office and they both sat in silence. It took a while, but he stood up again and moved to the locker room where he stripped out of his ruined clothes and into the showers where he washed her blood from his skin.
Callen stood under the water for a while. He couldn't help but blame himself. He could not love anything without it being destroyed. Maybe if he hadn't of loved her then she would have lived. Deep down he knew that her death had nothing to do with him, but as his thoughts circled on the diamond ring he had planned to give her this evening, Callen couldn't help but feel cursed.

The Other Shoe, Part 13
***
Before Kensi could completely fall apart, there was a knock on the door, and a familiar voice asked, “Hey, you mind some company?”
“Nell, Callen,” Kensi said, rushing to greet them. She hastily wiped at her eyes as she embraced Nell, and then took a step back. “You didn’t have to come.”
“Like we’d be anywhere else,” Nell scoffed gently. “Eric would have come, but he had a business call he couldn’t reschedule.
“And I always love seeing Sam on pain meds,” Callen added, patting Kensi’s back. “He gets very very laid back.”
“I thought he said he didn’t want anyone visiting.”
Callen nodded enthusiastically at Kensi’s comment. “Exactly. Coming for Deeks is the perfect excuse.”
Smiling at both of them, Kensi leaned in to hug Nell again. She didn’t know what she would have done without the entire team supporting them, but having Nell back had been the confident and shoulder to cry on she needed.
“Thanks, guy.” Heaving a sigh, she gestured at the single chair in the room. “The accommodations and they just took Deeks down, so it’s going to be a while.”
“Well, then let’s grab some coffee, take a walk, antagonize the nurses,” Callen shrugged. “I think I saw some unattended wheelchairs in the hallway.”
“Grisha, we talked about this: we don’t want to get kicked out,” Nell reminded him.
“Hey, I don’t play on getting caught.”
As much as Kensi appreciated the banter, she didn’t have the energy to join in. Or socialize. “I’m not sure I should leave. Just in case they have any updates, you know.”
“They’ll send you texts, right?” Nell asked, and Kensi nodded. “Then it’ll be good for you to get out for a little bit.”
She almost declined, but then she pictured spending the next 4 or 5 hours in this room. Constantly reminded of Deeks’ absence, worrying.
“Ok,” she sighed. “But I get the first ride on the wheelchair.”
***
They ended up in the hospital’s poor excuse for a cafe with watery, bitter cups of coffee. What had started out as an attempt to distract Kensi, had devolved into rehashing every ridiculous and fantastical story involving Sam or Deeks they could think of.
“I thought for sure Sam wasn’t going to make it, but at the very last moment, he disarmed that bomb,” Callen recalled, shaking his head.
“A good thing since I was inside and Callen fighting off the driver,” Kensi commented.
“Sometimes I swear he takes his time just so he can show off his bomb expertise.”
“Yeah, he does love his bombs,” Nell agreed. She smiled, nudging Callen’s shoulder. “Hey, what about the first time Deeks brought Monty in to help find an explosive device?”
“We never knew thought it would actually work. When it did, Sam was furious to be shown up by a dog. And Deeks’ dog at that,” Kensi said, shaking her head.
“Things sure have changed,” Nell mused.
Callen made a soft sound, his gaze a little distant. “I don’t think any of us could have predicted that ten years later, one of them would be giving the other an organ.”
“A lot has changed since then.”
Nell drummed on the table with her knuckles, disrupting the solemn quiet that had fallen with the shift in conversation. “Ok, who wants more stale muffins?”
“Ooh, grab me a chocolate—”
“Mrs. Blye?” One of the nurses who’d taken Deeks to operating room approached the table.
Kensi stood up, the coffee in her stomach instantly souring and any levity of the last few hours evaporating. “Yes. Is everything ok? I didn’t get any texts. She fumbled for her phone, even though she’d just checked it a minute ago.
“Your husband and Mr. Hanna are both out of surgery. It went very well,” the nurse assured her, and Kensi stumbled back a step. Fortunately, Nell and Sam were there to brace her.
“Can we see them?”
“Mr. Deeks should be in recovery in about 20 minutes. You’ll have to wait until Mr. Hanna is awake since he requested no visitors earlier.”
“Thank you,” Kensi murmured. The nurse reached out and squeezed her hand, her smile comforting.
“You’re very welcome. Come up when you’re ready.”
With a final smile, she left.
Kensi pressed her hand to her mouth. She didn’t have words to express the dizzying relief she felt. Nell seemed to understand this, pulling Kensi down for a hug, her arms wrapping tightly around her waist.
“It’s over,” Nell whispered.
***
A/N: Yay, Deeks finally has his new kidney! I anticipate a couple kore chapters for this one.

NCIS: LA
Day 2 of posting my little bits and bobs of fanfiction that won't ever go into a full stories. Are they random? Yes. Out of order? Yes. Written today, yesterday, or a long time ago? Yes.
Carefully, Sam peered around the door, gun leading the way. He swept the room from right to left; starting with the open space and finishing beside the door he had just come through.
He noted the body on the floor in the middle of the room and went to finish his sweep when he felt rather then heard the door move beside him. Sam turned towards the wall by the door, quickly taking in the slim form of a woman before his gun was slapped off to the side and a kick to the chest sent him stumbling backwards. Sam heard his gun hit the floor somewhere between him and his attacker.
Quickly recovering from years of practice, Sam faced his opponent, hands coming up defensively. He took in his attacker's appearance without even thinking about it; white long sleeve shirt, jeans, combat boots.
The woman didn't wait long to make the first move. She ignored the gun on the floor and launched a flurry of hand-to-hand movements designed to make an attacker back up.
Sam blocked easily, stepping back and making it seem like he was going along. Then he went on the offensive, driving the woman back towards the door. She ducked underneath a swing and moved to the right, away from the doorway, forcing Sam to change positions.
He ducked underneath a roundhouse kick and came back with a left hook that spun the woman to the floor. She landed hard, catching herself with her hands; momentarily stunned. Her shirt had rode up, exposing the gun in a concealed holster. Sam swept up his gun and aimed it at the woman.
“Don't move.” Sam warned her as Callen burst into the room, gun drawn. “Hands on your head.”
She complied, kneeling on the floor and placing her hands on her head.
“You ok?” Callen asked as Sam holstered his gun and then dropped to one knee to cuff the woman.
“Yeah.” Sam replied as he handed the woman's gun to Callen, noting as he did so that it was a Glock. He started to pat the woman down, looking for other weapons and ID.
“Who are you?” The woman asked.
“I believe that's the question we should be asking you.” Callen said holstering his weapon.
“You're not cops.” She said looking over her shoulder at Sam. “You don't fight like a cop.”
“Neither do you.” Sam replied. “And I believe that cops only carry their guns in concealed holsters. No ID. She's clean.” Sam told Callen, getting to his feet. He grabbed the woman by the arm and pulled her up and around so that she was facing them.
She got to her feet and then used the fireplace mantle behind her as an anchor to kick Sam with both feet in the chest.
He stumbled backwards. Callen had drawn his weapon by now and started to lift it when he saw a red dot reflect off the metal and onto his chest. “Sam.” He snapped, stopping his partner from charging at the woman.
Sam glanced at Callen, quickly noticing the laser guide on his partner's chest. Callen lowered his weapon, dropping it onto the floor.
“Let's try this again.” The woman said. “Who are you? And if you are cops, let's see your ID, 'officers.'” She stressed the last word enough to let them know that she wasn't fooled by their act.
“Get your friend to stop pointing his gun at my partner and maybe we can help each other.” Sam replied. His tone had changed and obviously the woman had noticed it too.
“No one is going to shoot.” She told them. “ID.”
“Sam.” Callen nodded when he looked over. “Show her. I have a feeling that we're fighting on the same side.” He looked towards the woman. “CIA right?” He accused. “What’s the Agency doing on a case like this?”
“Thinking about buying. You?” She asked sarcastically.

Welcome on writeandsurvive! ❤️
I’m Fio, from @navalcriminalimagines and as I said I wanted to start fresh, so here we are.
The content will be the same; fanfictions.
Eventually I’ll take requests, but for now, I want to get back into writing slowly.
Main Fandoms/Characters I’m writing for:
NCIS / NCIS LA / NCIS NOLA (I have no interest in Hawaii 😬) ~ Jethro Gibbs, Alden Parker, Dwayne Pride, G Callen, Marty Deeks, Tobias Fornell
Fire Country ~ Vince Leone (Billy Burke, ily), Manny Perez, Luke Leone
The Last of Us (outbreak/no outbreak/games/series) ~ Joel Miller, Tommy Miller, Perry
Fandoms/Characters I could be tempted to write for:
Criminal Minds ~ Aaron Hotchner
The Mandalorian ~ Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal, loml)
Characters played by Raúl Esparza.
This list is non exhaustive. More could be add, some could be taken off if I’m not comfortable with them after all.
Yes, those are very specific. I have a thing for older men, and I’m not sorry about it.
So, yeah! Enjoy!
love!

G Callen x Reader
Prompt: none
Words: 3.352

“You shouldn´t eat so much sugar.” You told your boyfriend as you two walked through the halls to the bullpen.
“I like sugar, what is wrong about it?” He asked with his big bag slung over his shoulder. You looked at Callen.
“Nothing is wrong about liking sugar, but only if it isn´t the base of your nutrition. We should cook more.” He looked at you and raised his brow.
“I can´t cook and we both don´t have enough time for it.” You sighed and walked towards your desk.
“I know, but maybe we could buy healthier take out?” You looked at G hopefully with your big (E/C) eyes. He put his bag down and went over to you.
“Of course (Y/N).” He gave you a quick kiss and you smiled. You looked in his blue eyes.
“Thanks.”
“Everything for you.” He whispered and put his hands on your waist. You locked your arms around his neck and leaned in for another kiss.
“Good morning!” You broke your kiss and turned your head to Sam. You smiled.
“Morning Sam!” Sam smiled at you two. “Had a nice night?” He asked innocently, but you and Callen knew his intentions.
“It was a good workout.” Told your boyfriend his partner and both you and Sam began to chuckle.
“What was a good workout?” Asked Deeks curiously when he and Kensi turned around the corner. Now Callen was the one chuckling with a smug smile on his face, while Sam just shook his head with a smile on his lips. Deeks stopped in the middle of the desks, while Kensi just sit down and started to smile too. You walked out of Callens grip and took your bag. When you walked past Deeks with a smug smile on your lips and winked sheepishly, it was only a matter of time until you heard his “oh”. It let your smile brighten up on your way up to OPS. Up there you began to work with Nell and Eric, when a new case came in.
“I get the others”, said Eric and walked out of the room. In the meanwhile you looked at the screen.
“There are too many”, you whispered.
“Exactly.” The prompt and unexpected reply would cause anybody to jump out of their skin, but not you. You merely turned your head to look at your small boss.
“And that´s why the team needs help.” You were about to ask her what she meant with that, but Eric came back in with the team in tow. You took some steps back, so you wouldn´t stand in front of the screen, and ended up between Kensi and Deeks.
“We found the video footage from this night ten minutes ago.” Explained Nell and started the video. You could see one victim and about ten attackers. They were brutal, the victim didn´t stand a chance against their hits. In the end they burned the victim alive, even though he was unconscious.
“Wow.” Deeks flat comment was the mood of everybody.
“Yeah, the victim was one of our informants”, told Nell and Eric continued.
“The attackers are all part of a Mexican cartel. We suppose they are still in LA.”
“Why do you think so?” Asked Sam, who leaned against the table with crossed arms.
“The victim was just one of our two informants. He was the older brother and his younger brother is still alive and somewhere here in LA. If they want to finish the job, they need to find the younger one”, you explained while you put a picture of the victim and his younger brother on the big screen.
“So, we don´t know where the younger brother is?” Asked Callen and looked to you, but Hetty beat you to the answer.
“Exactly. This is your job Mr. Callen. Find the boy and protect him. The cartel shouldn´t get a hold on him.”
“We don´t have enough time to search everywhere for him, we aren´t enough people.” You shared this opinion with Kensi. Your time was limited and you´ve got to many opponents to find and beat.
“I know Ms Blye. That´s why Ms Jones and Agent (L/N) will help you in the field.” You stared wide eyed at Hetty. You were shocked, but in a very positive way. You were a trained field agent after all.
Two years ago you were assigned to Callens team by Hetty, when your old team got separated. Well, you were alive, two of your three team members were killed and the last one was chained to the wheelchair. To be honest, you survived by mere luck, nothing more. This was your last job out in the field and since you came into this team, you were banned into OPS to work as an analyst and advisor.
At first you begged Hetty to let you work in the field, but after months of begging and nothing happened, you just accepted your fate. One year ago you and Callen started to date, and your ache for the field was gone. But now you realized that this fire was still burning inside you, this ache for the field was still there and you were eager to go out and fight the bad guys. You smiled, but before you could open your mouth, someone beat you to it, again.
“What?” It was Callens voice that reached your ears. You looked to your boyfriend and saw his worry.
“No, we are able to do it alone.”
“Mr Callen” Hetty stood her ground against your boyfriend and you were glad she did.
“Your girlfriend is a perfectly trained field agent and was stuck too long up here. If you already forgot it, she worked on more difficult cases then you and always succeeded with her team.” Callen wanted to argue back, but Hetty raised her hand and with a pointed look, he kept his mouth shut.
“Ms (L/N), if you would follow me?” She begged you to follow her and as you walked past Callen, you shot him a pissed look and an ironic thanks. You followed her into the weaponry.
“Ms (L/N), here is your clothing and the weapons you prefer.” She pointed to a stack of clothing and to the different weapons that laid on the table.
“Thank you” you told her surprised, “but how do you know all of that?”
“I would be a bad boss if I didn´t know my agents. Now get changed and come in the bullpen when you are ready.” She smiled and left you alone. After you were ready, you walked into the bullpen. Even though no one was directly looking at you, you felt every stare of your team, and your boyfriend in particular.
“I´m ready Hetty.” You called to your boss. And on cue, Nell walked down the stairs, also in another set of clothing.
“Shall we?” She asked you and gave you a weapon. You took it and gave her a small smile.
“We shall.”
After that the whole team left HQ and searched after your target. The day was very exhausting, but eventually you found a lead. You were currently in the weaponry to prepare your weapons. The whole team worked in silence. When everyone was finished, they left quietly, so at the end only you and Callen were left. He eventually stopped and looked at you, but you just ignored him and prepared for the strike.
“Are we gonna keep this silence?” G asked you. You shrugged.
“Hell, (Y/N)! Could you please talk to me?” You set the weapon down, a bit harder than necessary, and looked sharp at him.
“What do you want me to say?” You asked sour. He looked at you quizzically.
“What?”
“You wanted me to talk to you. About what?” Callen rounded the table and stood behind you, so you had to turn around.
“Are you gonna be angry with me forever?” He cocked his head and looked into your (E/C) eyes.
“You questioned my skills as an agent in front of the whole team. What do you expect me to be? Grateful? Happy?” “I was worried about you.”
You snorted.
“I´m worried about you too, but I don´t question you in front of everyone. That stings, G. It hurts.” You turned around and looked over the weapon. You heard a sigh behind you. Callen wanted to say something and opened his mouth, but Eric ran into the armory.
“We know where they are.” You grabbed your weapons and left, leaving Callen to follow your lead.
You haven´t found your informant, but you found the guys that wanted to kill him.
“Everyone ready?” questioned your boyfriend with a small voice through your earpiece.
“We´re at the back”, said Kensi.
“We´re at the side entrance”, you replied, confirming the position of Nell and you.
“On my mark…now!”
As Callen gave the clear, Nell opened the door, so you walked in first, a small detail, but you wanted to make sure Nell was save. You heard shots being fired over your earpiece, but you needed to focus on you and Nell and every possible threat. You saw a man behind crates and fired your gun. Three shots and he went down. You spun around and saw how a second man was shot down by Nell. Both of them were armed with machine guns.
“Everything alright?” You asked her and waited.
“Yeah.” She nodded and you signaled her to search the room. After you looked everywhere and no enemy was found you turned to Nell and nodded.
“Everything is clear”, she told you.
“Status?” Callen asked over the earpiece.
“Everything´s clear”, explained Deeks.
“Same goes for us”, replied Nell and you walked to the man you shot down. Neither Nell nor you saw the woman, who came in from the floor.
Callen nodded to Sam, after everyone told him they were alright. He looked around in the big hall. Kensi and Deeks walked to them, when he suddenly heard a shot.
All four of them went down. Then they realized, that the sound came from the other room. He shot up again as he heard a second one directly afterwards. He could feel his heart beating faster with each passing second.
“(Y/N)? Nell?” He asked with wide eyes and heavy breathing. He looked at his team, when Nells voice rang through their earpieces.
“Eric, I need a helicopter, fast!” He felt a sudden pressure on his chest.
Without a second thought he started running to the other room, all caution to the wind. He heard the footsteps of his team following. When he burst through the door, Nell turned around and pointed her weapon at them. When she realized it was Callen, she turned back around, her focus at the limb body lying next to her.
“No”, he whispered.
He didn´t saw the dead woman at the other door, neither the two dead men. He just saw the limp body that wore the same clothes as you.
When Nells sob reached his ears, he broke out of his trance and ran to you. Falling to his knees, he skidded to a stop next to you.
He felt a pressure behind his eyes.
He stared at you.
Your already dull eyes looked at the ceiling, your mouth gaped open like a fish out of water. When he saw the cause of your state, his tears slipped out of his eyes.
“I- I don´t know how to put more pressure on it without strangling her.” Nell´s voice broke at the end. Her hands were full of your blood.
He put his hands over hers, adding more pressure on the wound. He lifted his hands when he heard a shocked squeak from you, knowing he cut off your airways.
“Don´t,” he sobbed, “don´t die on me. You can´t die on me. You hear that? I don´t allow you to die (Y/N).”
He felt his own body beginning to shake.
“Eric? How long?” Sams voice was something he could focus on.
“Three minutes.”
“That´s too long. She won´t survive!”
A sob escaped his lips at his partners statement.
“G.” He looked down. Your weak voice sounded like heaven to him, your dull (E/C) eyes looked as radiant as ever. You could talk, you could survive. You looked directly at him.
“(Y/N)…”, he whispered, hope filling his voice.
“I love you.” Your voice sounded better, but why were your eyes rolling back? Why couldn’t he hear your gaping after air? Why couldn´t he feel your pulse any longer?
“No…” He searched your face. “No.”
He took his hands from your wound and started to reanimate you. After some seconds, he cried harder.
“No!” He said loudly. His tears were streaming down his face freely, his sobs ragged his body.
He took you in his arms, don´t caring that your blood would be all over him. He put his head against yours, his nose softly nuzzling yours.
“No…“ He couldn´t believe it.
“It´s too late Eric, she´s gone.”
He lost you. He lost the love of his life.
The next day Callen sat on the couch at the bullpen. He stared in the room, not focused on anything except his aching heart. He was so sad and angry. Angry with himself, with you and with Hetty. You died, and the last thing you two were talking about was a stupid argument, because he was worried sick about you. But you didn´t saw this, you saw him as a backstabbing boyfriend, who didn´t trust in the skills of his girlfriend.
“Mr. Callen?” He looked up at his boss. He didn´t knew she was there. He changed his position and opened some space for Hetty to sit next to him.
“What is it, Hetty?” “The autopsy of Miss (L/N) is finished. I need to talk to you about the results.” He furrowed his brow.
“She was shot in the throat, the bullet hit the artery. She bled out.” It felt wrong to talk about you just like another victim. Hetty sighed.
“You are right. But the medical examiner found something. Something different.” She paused. Hetty wasn´t someone to pause, only if it was a difficult situation.
“Hetty?” He asked and leaned forward to look at her.
“Miss (L/N) was pregnant.” He felt like throwing up.
He let himself sink back in the couch. A lump was suddenly in his throat. He felt his eyes burning again and he couldn´t feel anything except the sorrow. He gulped.
“How long” he asked breathless.
“At the beginning, third week. She didn´t know.” He nodded.
“If she knew she-“, he sobbed quietly. “She wouldn´t have gone in the field. She would protect the child.” He knew that, they talked about it, when she thought she was pregnant. This was before they were in a relationship, and after the shock she was on birth control, or so he thought.
“Thanks Hetty” he told her quietly and focused on nothing, he just stared in the room. He didn´t realized when Hetty left. He was just so hurt.
First he felt all alone on this world, with the whole foster families, than with his jobs. The first family he had was his team here at NCIS. Then he found you, the new addition to his team. You weren´t very open, no one of the team was, but you weren´t even friendly or tried to get along with the team. At the first case everyone was pissed at you, even Eric and Nell. You worked on your own, so he thought you were a lone wolf, like him, but then he overheard a conversation between you and Hetty, just a week after you first showed up.
“This isn´t fair!” You sounded angry. Callen hid at a spot, where he couldn´t be seen, but could hear you perfectly.
“This isn´t about fairness, Miss (L/N). It is about you and your ability to work as a field agent again.” You were an agent? He didn´t knew, he thought you were a profiler or something like this, or a technician, because you worked up in OPS.
“And as far as I can see, you aren´t able to work again.” He heard you snort.
“I am perfectly fine. I am healthy and the psychologist and the doctors gave their all clear, so what holds me back?”
“You aren´t working with my team, you were incredible unfriendly and cold towards them, how am I supposed to let you work with them?”
“That´s because I don’t want to work with them. See, I´m grateful that you took me under your wings, without you I wouldn´t be standing here, I would´ve lost my job, but I don´t want to work with anyone, I want to work alone.”
“That´s not possible. You are a team player and we both know it. You´re staying in OPS until you learn to work with my team.” Callen heard your footsteps and watched you leaving.
“It isn´t nice to eavesdrop on someone.” He looked at Hetty, who was standing now.
“What do you mean that she is a team player?” He didn´t even try to lie to Hetty.
“That, Mr. Callen, is a question you should ask her.” He huffed.
“She doesn´t even talk to me.”
“Then you should find another way. It´s worth a try.”
   It was worth it.
It was totally worth it.
He trusted you like no one else, even if it took its time.
“G?” Callen heard your voice, he was crazy. He felt crazy. He felt sleepy.
“G.” He felt heavy, he couldn´t keep his eyes open.
“G!”
He woke with a start. He didn´t know where he was. He started to panic.
“Shhh. Everything is alright, you´re safe.” He could hear your voice, loud and steady.
He realized he was in his bedroom, or better in his and your bedroom, in your shared bed.
He looked to the side and saw you there, healthy and alive. You have cocked your head, and he could see the worry in your (E/C) eyes. He couldn´t believe his eyes.
He frantically cupped your face and went down to your neck, where the bullet opened your skin and you bled, and now was your strong and steady pulse. He let his hands wander all over your body.
You sat quietly there and waited for your boyfriend to finish his checking. You knew how he was when he had a bad dream, but this was even new to you.
When he cupped your face on both sides, and put his forehead on yours to lightly nudge your nose, you knew something was very wrong. You waited in this position until his breathing got even.
“You wanna talk about it?” You asked him, knowing that he would possibly deny your question. So you were surprised when he nodded and started kissing you. You broke the kiss and lay down, guiding his head to your chest, so he could hear your heartbeat during his telling and you could cradle his head.
You listened to him till he finished, never pushing him to tell you something he didn´t want to and waiting for him on difficult passages. He finished and you didn´t know what to say. You died in his dream and were pregnant.
“G?” A humming noise came as response.
“You know I´m on birth control, right?” He made an approving noise.
“And you know I want to work in the field again?” He nodded.
“But you know, I wouldn´t decide anything without talking with you first. We are a couple, we should decide together about our future.”
“You are right.” He murmured. You decided to talk with him now.
“G? Do you want children?” You stopped caressing his head, when he put his head up to face you.
“Do you want children?” He empathized your addressing. Slowly you began to nod.
He leaned forward to capture your lips with his. The kiss was passionate, the way his lips moved over yours was feeling like caressing.
When he backed away, you slowly opened your eyes to see him smirking at you.
“Then let´s start, and stop the birth control.”

Deck the Bar with Boughs of Holly
Tumblr media
A/N: This fic is for today’s prompt: Decorating the bar. Features a somewhat unenthusiastic Callen.
***
“No, move it to the left!” Deeks shouted through a face full of pine needles. “My left!” Kensi made a frustrated sound and gave her end of the Christmas tree a shove. Deeks narrowly avoided falling by bracing himself against the banister and managed to move up another step to the bar’s second floor.
“Deeks, just move,” she said.
“Now you’re running me into the wall. Oh, this is not how I intended to die.” He didn’t need to see Kensi to know she was rolling her eyes.
“What the hell are you two doing?” Callen asked, appearing at the top of the stairs. Deeks shifted his end of the tree to look over his shoulder and grinned.
“Hey! We’re decorating for Christmas. Yeah, you uh, somehow missed the first couple years,” Deeks told him.
“That was by design,” Callen commented, watching with his arms crossed as they finally got the tree safely on the floor and upright.
“That’s because you’re smart,” Kensi said, making a face as she tried to wipe some sap off her sweater. It left a sticky white mark on the dark material.
“Oh come on, you know you’ll love it,” Deeks coaxed as he manhandled the tree into its metal stand. Maybe Kensi has been right when she said it was a little on the large size.
“I’m pretty sure I won’t.”
“Yeah well, it’s too late now.” Kensi blocked the stairs, crossing her arms. “You should have left when you had the chance.” Chuckling, Callen apparently accepted his fate and grabbed hold of the tree’s trunk, rescuing Deeks from being crushed to death.
“Does that look straight to you?” Deeks asked for the fifth time several minutes later. He popped his head out from under the tree, his hair sprinkled with pine needles and shirt scrunched up from scooting around on the floor.
“Yes,” Callen and Kensi said together.
“Kens, you’re not even looking.” She nodded, continuing to root through a box of decorations.
“That’s because it looked fine the first time and no matter what I say, you’re going to keep messing with it.”
“It was crooked,” he defended himself, looking to Callen for support.
“I’m siding with Kensi. It’s fine,” Callen said unapologetically. Sighing, Deeks rolled out from under the tree, getting to his knees with a groan. Kensi reached over to help him stand, a snow globe in one hand and roll of garland draped around her neck.
“Ok, but if the star isn’t straight, I’m blaming you two.”
“Surprisingly, I’m completely ok with that.”
“You guys just do not have the Christmas spirit,” Deeks said, shaking his head, but didn’t protest anymore. Honestly, though he would never, ever tell Kensi, he did not feel like getting back down on the ground.
He tilted his head as he gazed up at the tree. The top branch almost scarped the ceiling; it was a good thing they decided to use this one at the bar instead of at home.
“So is that it?” Callen asked, sounding mildly hopeful. Though Deeks noticed that he wasn’t exactly running away.
“Oh, I love your naivety, Grisha Callen.” He tossed a ball of sparkly garland at him, which Callen easily dodged. “We’ve only just begun.”
“And unfortunately, he’s not joking,” Kensi commented, although she was smiling so Deeks figured she wasn’t too miserable either.
“You can help Kensi string lights on the tree,” Deeks delegated, starting back downstairs. He paused on the second step and added, “And, uh, you can tell which ones Kensi put away last year because they’re nice, neat, completely impossible to untangle, balls.”
“That was one time,” Kensi protested loudly.
“Then why do I keep finding new ones every year?” Deeks asked and Kensi gave him a dark glare. Callen chuckled under his breath, busy rooting through a box.
“Oh Kens, this could be considered criminal,” he said, holding up a wad of lights-there was no other word for it. Kensi turned her glare on him.
“It’s not that bad. Look, you just have to know how to untangle it.”
“Yeah, Deeks gave me one of these travesties a couple years ago. I had to cut it apart.”
Deeks silently left, grinning as he heard them continue to bicker all the way to the main floor. Hopefully no one would get hurt in his absence. He returned several minutes later to find them starting on a second strand.
They didn’t notice him watching and he stood back for a couple minutes. Kensi was in charge of the wrapping while Callen held the strand for her, following her around the tree. Deeks noticed several discarded tangles of lights put to the side.
“Hey, that looks great!” Kensi turned towards him, smiling in a way that sent a warm feeling into the pit of his stomach.
“It turns out that Christmas decorating isn’t quite as awful as I thought it would be,” Callen said.
“So you’ve really never decorated before?” Deeks asked. They’d discussed it before, but he’d figured he was exaggerating.
“Not aside from whatever Nell cons me into helping with every year at the mission. Usually I volunteer for the hard labor. And Anna’s of the opinion that anything more than a couple snow globes and a pre-decorated tree is unnecessary.”
“That does have a certain appeal,” Kensi mused, looking around at all the boxes.
“Oh come on, you guys were enjoying yourselves.” Deeks jabbed a finger at each of them. “I saw both of you smiling and laughing.”
“Ok, I’ll admit it, I don’t hate decorating that much,” Callen allowed. “But that does not mean this is becoming a regular thing.”
“Understood,” Deeks agreed as he pulled out his phone to snap a quick picture. “You know, I almost forgot the last essential component of any Christmas decorating party.”
“What’s that?” Callen watched suspiciously while Deeks fiddled with his phone a little. A second later the sound of Bing Crosby singing “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” filled the room.
“And everybody join in on the second line.”
“Not a chance, Deeks,” Callen said adamantly. Kensi shook her head with what Deeks chose to interpret as fond exasperation and grabbed another set of lights.
“Just be glad that it isn’t “Feliz Navidad.” At Callen’s horrified look, she added, “And yes, he attempts to sing in Spanish.”
“How dare you, my Spanish accent is delightful,” Deeks said, unable to keep himself from grinning.
“In deference to Christmas, and my love for you, I’m going to refrain from commenting further,” Kensi told him, reaching over to pat his shoulder.
“Merry Christmas, Deeks,” Callen said cheerfully, plopping a Santa hat on top o his head.

Aaand, here’s another one. (I’m not trying to be spammy. I’ll save the third for tomorrow.) I wanted to have this one done for G Callen’s birthday, but alas. Better late than never.

Note
Can you do a fanfic (set during the early seasons) where one by one during different missions or situations, Deeks finally gains the respect and admiration of the whole team since it took them all a really long time to see what was what in front of them all along.
When You See the Real Me
***
Eric
Eric doesn’t have the same strong negative reaction to Detective Marty Deeks as the rest of the team. Once they figure out that he isn’t a killer, or a drug dealer, Eric has to completely reevaluate everything he’s assumed he knew about Deeks.
On the surface, Deeks appears to be excellent at undercover work, but not so much at making friends with some of his LAPD colleagues. It surprised Eric to find out he has a law degree, and even more so when he saw the list of criminals Deeks had brought in under his various aliases.
The closed juvenile case he found during his deep dive he didn’t even think of touching. Hetty hadn’t asked, so he wasn’t looking. Even if she did hire Deeks, Eric couldn’t find a good reason why a case that hadn’t stopped him from becoming a lawyer and detective should be relevant.
The first few weeks (actually months), were rough for the newly appointed liaison. Eric found himself wincing internally when he heard Kensi, Sam, or Callen’s jibes and general dislike. He’d faced their “good-natured” teasing; being the unlikely replacement none of them seemed to want had to be hell.
Still, Eric reservs judgment. As friendly and smart as Marty Deeks seems, none of them really know him. It gets harder though, the longer he stays.
It isn’t a single, defining moment that convinces Eric Deeks is just as good as he seemed on paper. It’s a dozen, small, but equally significant moments.
***
“Hey, Beale!” Deeks crows as he steps into OPS, a coffee cup in hand.
“Hey Deeks. You’re here early.” Eric looks up briefly from his computer to offer Deeks a smile. He’s known Deeks for approximately a month now, and he’s still getting used to his lack of predictability.
Some days he arrives just before a debriefing starts, others he’s the first in.
“Yeah, I stopped for coffee and a donut, and figured I’d bring some for everyone.” He gives the cup in his hand a little shake. “Vanilla latte with an extra shot of espresso.”
“No one ever gets that right,” Eric comments, automatically taking the coffee when Deeks offers it to him with a tempting smile. He pops the lid off, inhaling deeply. He sighs regretfully. “But you know there’s no food or drinks in OPS.”
“Hetty’s in a meeting and no one else is here,” Deeks assures him in a conspiratorial whisper. “Don’t worry, I’ll be your look out.”
So Eric enjoys his coffee, and a chocolate glazed crueler, while Deeks monitors the camera covering the stairs. It’s oddly nice, and Eric learns that Deeks worked at a coffee shop one his years at college.
***
The call comes while Eric is busy running a search, sorting through endless photos on the slim chance he finds a man with a lizard tattoo on his hand, and trying to repair a fried hard drive all before he’s had his morning dose of caffeine.
So his greeting is a little less friendly than normal. “What do you want, Deeks?”
“Hey Eric, can you find out if Dominic’s wife had any interaction with his boss?” Deeks asks. Eric hears Kensi say something in the background that doesn’t quite make it across the phone.
“Do you want me to do that before or after I rebuild this completely destroyed piece of tech?” Eric snaps before he can help himself. He inhales sharply, the silence over the phone so loud. “Sorry. I’m just a little busy right now.”
“That’s ok. I know you’ll get there. You always do.”
It’s just a few words, but Eric immediately feels his anger deflate.
“I will. Just give me a little time.”
“You got it. I appreciate it, man,” Deeks says before he hangs up. As he turns back to the hard drive, Eric finds himself smiling.
***
Eric almost does a double take when Deeks walks into the bullpen one day, dressed in shorts and a damp t-shirt. The office of OPS is pretty casual as far as teams go, but aside from Eric, they cut the line at showing calves and chest.
“Woah, you better not let Hetty catch you like that,” Eric warns him, as Deeks marches in.
He offers a nod in greeting and shakes the duffle bag in his hand. “Just headed to change.”
“Do I want to know what you were up to this morning?” Eric asks, implication in his voice. “You look a little wind blown. And sandy.”
“I was surfing and lost track of time,” Deeks explains. “Usually I wait for the weekend, but it was too perfect out there to resist. You surf, right?”
“I have been known to catch a wave or two. I actually won a small competition when I was younger.”
“Well then you should join me sometime.” While he’s talking Deeks quickly swaps out his wet shirt for a dry one. “I usually go with a couple buddies of mine, but we’re always happy to have a bigger group.”
“Oh, wow, sure. That would be great,” Eric responds, thrown off guard by the suggestion. Outside of team outings, which usually take place at a bar, he’s pretty certain no one else has invited him to anything. “Thanks.”
“Of course.” Deeks glanced at Eric and then down at his shorts, pulling a face. “I’m just going go change these.” He gestures in the general direction of the locker room.
“That’s probably a good idea,” Eric agrees with a chuckle. As Deeks walks away, Eric smiles to himself.
Marty Deeks is a pretty good guy.
***
Callen
“You know, you don’t have to come with,” Callen says quietly to Deeks, while Kensi and Sam gather supplies from Sam’s house. They’d all just resigned, well aside from Deeks, but Callen hadn’t missed his comment to Vance.
“I’m part of this team, right?” Deeks asks casually, but the look he flashes Callen is deliberate and serious.
“You could destroy your career if you do this, and all for an agency that doesn’t claim you. Or, worse.” Callen has his doubts that they’ll come out of this unsanctioned mission alive.
“Well, that does make me feel all warm and fuzzy,” Deeks drawls.
“I’m serious, Deeks.”
“So am I.” Deeks gives him another look, no give in the expression. “I’m not leaving Kensi without a partner. Or Hetty to die in another country over some generations long feud.”
Callen has watched Deeks put his life on the like for each of them dozens of times since he joined the team. Even Callen has to admit he was a skilled operator, but this is different.
This isn’t merely duty to the job or colleague. This is dedication. And Callen can’t help but respect it.
“Ok then,” Callen says, seeing Deeks through new eyes.
***
Sam
“Back off, give him a minute!” Sam shouts with as much force as he can muster. His voice sounds strained and it makes his lungs and chest hurt, but he’s prepared to physically get up if necessary. Fortunately, the doctors and nurses ease up slightly.
Kensi tries to reason with Deeks, to get him to cooperate for the doctors, but Granger draws her away. There’s still work to do. Then it’s just the two of them and he’s staring into Deeks’ wide eyed, horrified eyes for an agonizing five seconds.
Then Deeks turns his head again, legs writhing and twitching aimlessly on the gurney. He spits out another mouthful of blood, eyes connecting with Sam’s briefly again before he releases a shuddering breath.
One of the doctors moves back in, and Deeks starts to clench his jaw again.
“Hey Deeks, it’s going to be ok. I’m gonna be here the whole time. They just want to help you, ok?” Sam tells him, speaking like they’re the only two in the room. He sees Deeks still again, his body still tight, protective though. He can only imagine where his mind is right now.
It’s amazing that Deeks was able to hold it together at all to pull off the final piece of their charade and protect Michelle one more time.
“That’s good, man. You let them look at your mouth. I know it’s going to hurt, but they’ll give you something for that.” One of the nurses gives him a grateful nod.
It’s the least he can do. He owes Deeks his life. Michelle’s. Sam closes his eyes briefly, overwhelmed by the thought; how different this all might be if Deeks wasn’t so damned strong.
After several seconds, where Sam sees Deeks inhaling shallowly through his nose, Deek open his mouth just enough for the doctor to fit a camera and dental mirror inside. Deeks whimpers, but makes no other sound, though his fists clench in the thin coverings.
The next 10 minutes are awful as the exam continues, and the doctor rattles off a growing list of injuries. Decimated molars, damage to the gums, fractured jaw and cheek bone. Sam tallies it all. He’s barely aware of the tests performed on his own behalf, his focus on Deeks.
It feels like seeing him for the first time; past the long hair that he let annoy him for so long, past the irreverent attitude, the jokes, that didn’t fit into his orderly world view. Underneath all that, he saw a man who was talented, brave, and unceasingly loyal.
A man he owes everything.
He keeps watching, even after Deeks finally gives in to the pain and passes out.
“I got your back too, brother,” he promises.
***
Kensi
The bad guys are either dead or in custody, they’re all alive, and all Kensi really wants is a shower. Her bones ache more than after any training exercise or the marathons she’s run.
She twists her head to the side, more of a flop given her current energy levels. For once, she’s relinquished control of the keys, and Deeks is driving, his hands firm and sure on the steering wheel.
He’d come out of their adventure with a nice bump on the back of his head, but was ultimately cleared from a hospital visit.
God, she owes him so much.
“That was really smart, thinking of the laser trigger,” she says, and he grins, perhaps anticipating a joke about his intelligence. Not today, though.
“I do have my moments,” he replies when she doesn’t say anything else. It’s so dismissive, making his plan commonplace, like any other day. Suddenly she needs him to know it’s not.
“I’m serious, Deeks. You came along at just the right moment, because I was so close to giving in.” She presses her lips together, remembering the utter exhaustion from hours upon hours of standing without being able to fidget or stretch for fear of interrupting one of time beams. The way her legs had trembled near the end. “I never would have thought of anything besides the bomb squad.”
She thinks of his gentle reassurance when she’d begged him to help her. She’d asked him to put his life in danger, for her, and he didn’t even hesitate a moment.
Over the course of their relatively short partnership, Kensi has come to appreciate his ingenuity and skills when it comes to their job. She’s just now letting herself recognize it.
Deeks shakes his head, seeming overwhelmed by her appreciation. “God, you know I had no idea if it was going to work. Especially that last part. That was just…pure insanity.”
“Yeah, but it did. And you never left my side,” Kensi says. She touches the back of his hand, just a mere brush of her fingertips over his knuckles. Nothing that could be even considered actual handholding. “Thank you.”
Deeks stills, his mouth opening and then closing before he settles on a simple, “You’re welcome. I’d do it all over again if I had to.”
***
A/N: I tried to think of key moments for each of the original cast which would correlate with them treating Deeks differently. Obviously, Deeks still was treated differently or teased after these points, but he wasn’t just an outsider anymore. Eric’s was a little bit difficult because I think he was fairly welcoming to Deeks from the beginning. And of course I had to go with Descent/Ascent for Sam, even though it occurs four seasons in. I’m also coming at this from the perspective that the team knew Deeks was worthy teammate, but they hadn’t admitted that to themselves yet.
Thanks for the prompt!

Back In Your Arms
Summary: A Callanna one shot set after their last scene in S11Eps15 The Circle.
A/N: Here's my newest Callanna one-shot. Took me a few weeks to get it done but it is finally up. I do not own the characters. They're the writers' intelectual property. I only own the story. English is not my first language, so I apologize in advance for any possible typos or grammar mistakes that may still exist. Have a nice read and please let me know what you think!
------
It had been quite a couple of days. Days that brought a huge and very positive change to Callen's life. Anna had come back at the risk of being caught and arrested, to inform him that his "half-brother" was in town… Things had escalated pretty quickly, more quickly than he first had thought they would, but fortunately everything turned out just fine. Except for the part that involved Anna's status.
Callen had decided that she would stay with him at his apartment until they figured a way to help her. He didn't want to be apart from her again or even lose her forever, and for the time being it was best that they kept it low about her being in town and also about their relationship's revival. And that was exactly what he did, when asked about where Anna was, once he stepped into the bar to gather with the team for a little bit, during that night. He didn't feel that comfortable about lying to them, his team, their friends, but it was the best for everyone. Callen would hate to see any of them get in trouble, and so would Anna.
He had to keep is "disguise" on, so he wished everyone a goodnight and walked up to his apartment, to hopefully make them believe he was feeling down due to the recent situations. Just as he put the key in the lock to open the door, the door opened by itself, to his surprise. His eyes followed its movement until he saw a barefoot feminine figure standing there. That was quite a shock to him. A good one, though. Callen just didn't expect to see Anna welcoming him by the door and was certainly surprised that she was wearing one of his shirts. He couldn't deny he loved the sight before him. And he also couldn't help but let his eyes wander all over her, from head to toe.
Callen leaned against the doorway. "You know they're gonna find out."
"I know. It's just until I figure some things out: the CIA, my criminal record," Anna replied with a smile. "I don't want to get anyone into trouble," she said sincerely.
"Really?" Callen asked in a playful way.
"Mm hmm."
Callen felt quite amused at her justification. And with a smirk on his lips, he tried to tease her a little. "What about me?"
"Oh, you? Well, you maybe just a little bit?" With a playful look on her face, Anna walked up to him in a seductive way and then grabbed the collar of his jacket to bring him closer. It was refreshing and positive that they were communicating in a flirtatious way without it being any kind of awkward. It felt like they had never been apart.
"Mm hmm." Callen moved to capture her lips with his and close the distance between them, as he put his hands around her waist. Anna moved one of hers to caress the back of his head. Callen knew he was in trouble, but that was the kind of trouble he had wanted for too long.
He guided them inside the apartment and shut the door right after. However, before they could get too involved in the moment, Anna broke the kiss. "I guess it's better to lock it," she said, while she pointed at the door.
"Right. Of course." Callen didn't want to be caught in the middle of anything. Not that anyone would simply enter his apartment without his consent, but still. Better safe than sorry. So, he locked the door and left the keys in the lock. He then turned to embrace Anna in his arms again and was met with her passion right away.
Without any further ado, Callen took his leather jacket off and let it fall on the ground, as they kept on kissing and walking towards his bed. Anna's hands immediately left the back of his head and went for the hem of his sweatshirt and lifted it up over his head, letting it fall on the ground too. His shoes and socks soon joined the other pieces of clothing.
After a few steps, Callen figured they were quite close to one of the sides of the bed already. He picked Anna up in his lap and she wrapped her legs around his waist. Callen stepped forward and felt his knees hit the mattress, so he crawled on bed while he held Anna in place. He then laid her on the mattress, as gently as he could. With all the tension that was building up between them, Callen could have simply taken the shirt she was wearing off her body, but he found it quite challenging and rather sexy to unbutton its buttons, one by one, until all her body was revealed right in front of his eyes. He was stunned to see she didn't have any underwear on. She thought it all through, his inner voice stated. He was desperate to have her, but he also wanted to take his time. For as long as he could, anyway. So, he began to explore her body with his hands and lips, touching and caressing her everywhere.
The moment the warm and caring touch of his lips met the skin of her neck and chest, after so long, Anna felt like she had been brought back to life again. She had missed his soft touch and the way his stubble tickled and slightly scratched her skin sending a tingle through her body.
Callen couldn't help but cease his actions for a few seconds to appreciate the beauty lying under him. He let his gaze travel with intent interest over her body and let it follow the trail of his fingers, as they lingered on her curves. He continued his way down her body, and she followed his moves closely. When he reached her thigh, he kissed the tiny bullet scar on it, almost as an apology for having left her in Cuba hurt and practically alone for the past months. Callen felt his chest tighten at the thought of what she had gone through, alone. In that moment, he was taken by a tremendous urge to capture her lips with his. Callen kissed her hard but lovingly, and she knew exactly what he meant with that sudden but desired gesture. His lips and hands then continued to explore down her body. They had only been together like this a couple times before, but Callen knew very well what her triggers were. He knew exactly how to get her on the edge without doing much. And that was exactly what he did.
Anna felt a pleasant heat growing between her thighs, as he proceeded with his light touches and kisses up and down her torso. When he finally reached the place where she wanted him the most, Anna arched into the pleasant and delicious sensation his fingers and mouth provided. One of her hands immediately flew to his hair to stroke it. He was the best lover and her body didn't take long to reach its peak. Once her orgasm had ridden out, Callen kissed his way up to her lips. Anna took the opportunity and turned them around, making him lie on his back. Callen was quite surprised with her sudden move, but he loved how straightforward she always was during their intimate moments.
Callen was craving the way she touched him, the way she would pleasure him and almost get the best of him every time. And he also craved her care, and badly. He loved how she ignited his fire. He had craved it all for the past months, for the past almost two years even.
She ran her fingertips slowly down his chest and tummy as she placed some kisses down his torso, until she reached the place where his jeans began. Anna loosened the belt, opened the button and undid the zipper to quickly remove his jeans and boxers. She threw those pieces of clothing out of the bed and went to caress his sex right away. Callen was shocked off his senses with the way she took care of him and built up his excitement, that was pretty visible already. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the wonders Anna’s hands and mouth were doing to his body and mind, too. She knew him way too well already, his weaknesses and points of interest. And she also loved teasing him, to see how much he could take. However, Callen sat up after some minutes and moved one of his hands down her back towards her front bottom to touch her, in order to keep her from undoing him right then and there. He absolutely loved whenever she pleasured him like that, but that was not how he wanted his trigger to be pulled. Not this time. Callen wanted to go slow and savor every second of their encounter, while he built up their fires until they couldn't hold them back any longer.
Anna got the message and crawled up to him. She left some kisses all over his torso, on her way to his lips again. Callen kissed her and then went for his wallet to get a condom. Anna straddled him and he was caught off guard when she slowly took the condom from his hand and put it on his nightstand. As they say, a word to the wise… Callen perfectly understood what she was trying to tell him with that gesture.
"You sure?" he asked.
With a slight smile on her face, Anna answered softly. "Yes. We're all good." She moved one hand to caress his face as he laid back again. She leaned down until she was facing him. Their lips were only inches apart and her hair brushed against his face. "I want you." She then kissed his cheek and jaw as she moved her lips closer to his ear to whisper a few titillating words. "I need you. All of you."
Those words and her breath right on his ear sent a lovely shiver down Callen's spine and he moved his head to face her. "I need you, too," he whispered back in a raspy tone.
She kissed him deeply, with an intensity she didn't even know she was capable of, and she felt Callen kissing her back with just the same amount of intensity, desire and longing. They spent a few minutes just kissing and touching each other. With all the intense kissing, Anna started to move her hips against him, and Callen couldn't help but moan on her lips. The friction she was providing him with was sensational.
A couple more minutes went by, and she could no longer wait to have him. She reached in between them and guided him inside, while she maintained eye contact. The moment he slid into her was extraordinary. She couldn't describe how marvelous and stimulating it felt to have him inside her without any kind of barrier, just flesh against flesh.
He had to focus to keep himself from enjoying that wonderful and warm tightness too much. Callen just didn't want to reach his climax too soon. He wanted to enjoy her and the new sensation for as long as possible. As soon as Anna got used to his intrusion, she braced on his chest and started to move her hips slowly, welcoming him in every time. She noticed he seemed to be lost somewhere else, and she bent over again to leave some steamy kisses on his neck. Those quickly stimulated his senses even more and she felt him twitch inside her as a reaction. Callen's hands flew to her hips and helped her grind on him, as their lips reunited in an ardent kiss.
After a while, Callen sat up, taking her with him, and began to move his hips steadily against hers. He held her to him the whole time and helped her move. Anna loved how he filled her in such a nice and satisfying way. That, along with the sounds he made and the angle their bodies were meeting each other with, gifted her with a delightful trip towards climax again. Callen let her body take what it needed from him, while his hands and lips stroked her oversensitive body. He couldn't quite explain how much he adored having such an intense effect on her. It was pretty erotic for him to feel and watch her tremble against his body, while she took what she needed to feel content. That feel and view excited his brain and body in ways he couldn't comprehend.
Suddenly, with one arm around her back, he turned them around, without breaking their connection and laid her on her back. He couldn't wait to feel the warmth of her skin, her whole body against his. And in that moment, he wanted to wash away the nights of loneliness he lived during the time they were separated. Those and that time had hurt him in ways he couldn't even comprehend, both physically and emotionally. It had been cruel. He had missed the way her hands and fingertips traveled along his body and excited him, the way she'd hold onto him, the way she'd squeeze his arms when he made her moan. And the way she'd love him like no-one else ever did. Callen felt too connected with her, and if he was honest with himself, he felt himself falling in love even more.
The rhythm of his hips met the increasing rhythm of his heartbeat. "I've missed you," Callen confessed to her before he hid his face on her neck and breathed in deeply to savor her scent. He then held her right leg gently and hooked it around his waist.
Anna knew he was taken by the desire, but that didn't throw away the truth in his words. She still noticed the emotion in them and the double meaning they had, and she could feel her heart burst with happiness. She also understood his intentions and wrapped her legs around his waist. As she did so, Callen practically laid on her to eliminate the few inches that separated their bodies, until that moment. Yet, he kept on supporting his weight on his forearms to prevent crushing her later. "I've missed you, too," she murmured as she hugged him tightly and moved her hips to meet his thrusts, allowing herself to build up her pleasure one last time.
Callen felt his body starting to embrace the tremors of ecstasy and his hips began to move faster and more intensely. A couple minutes later, the apartment filled with the sound of low, but audible moans when both reached the place where they wanted to be the most. Callen was the first to get there. He just couldn't hold all his energy back any longer. He held her as close as humanly possible and let his orgasm take over his body, as he let out a pretty intense groan followed by her name that escaped from his lips in the sweetest of ways.
It didn't take long for Anna to join him. The lovely but so pleasing sounds that he kept on making right next to her ear, as he came down from his high, along with the intense but now slower movement of his hips, sure made the charm. She felt herself tightening onto him while a huge heart quake took over her body. Anna noticed that Callen tried to move his hips slightly faster to help her get the most of her orgasm, despite his tiredness.
When their bodies subsided, Callen kissed Anna slowly and passionately. "Thank you," he whispered, while he looked her in the eye, before slowly sliding out of her and lying on the mattress. Anna pulled the covers up to their bodies, to prevent both of them from running cold, and cuddled up to him. Callen pulled her to him and started caressing her arm, as he looked at the ceiling and contemplated everything that had happened in the last 48 hours. After a while, he began to speak again. "It's been so long…" As soon as Anna heard him speak, she looked up at him. Callen noticed her looking and, before he proceeded with his words, he looked down at her all cuddled up to him and smiled genuinely. She had never seen him smile like that before and it warmed her heart. "I'm very happy that you came back, despite the risks you took." He said as he ran his fingers caringly up and down her shoulder and arm. "I've missed you. This," he uttered, making sure he repeated what he had said a few moments earlier.
Anna smiled at his words. "I'm very happy to be back, too. It was worth the risk. I've missed it here." She snuggled onto him more as she spoke. There, in Callen's arms. That was where she felt loved and safe. She sat up a little after some minutes and bent her head down until her lips were only inches away from his. "And you, of course." She completed her thought before she kissed him passionately.
"Good, I thought you wouldn't say it." Callen joked as soon as they broke the kiss. Both giggled, while Anna laid down next to him and snuggled into his arms again.
Callen couldn't help the feeling of immense happiness in that moment, with her in his arms again. But he was also scared. Scared about her future and about what it could mean to them. However, he wasn't going to kill the mood with that talk. It had been way too long since they last had been together. All he wanted was to enjoy her being back and hopefully make up for the time they lost, without thinking "what next" for a few more hours, at least. He kept on stroking her arm up and down while she touched and caressed his chest. Before they knew it, they drifted off to sleep, around midnight.
It was around 7am the following morning when Callen's alarm went off, and Anna cuddled up to him even more while remaining asleep. Surprisingly, it took him a few of its rings to wake up, which wasn't usual. Callen would normally wake up right when the alarm went off. Nevertheless, after a few minutes his body gave in and he moved a little out of Anna's embrace to turn the alarm off. He noticed her wake up due to his movement and felt bad about it.
"Sorry I woke you," he apologized as he laid down again and pulled her to him.
"It's okay," Anna replied before she placed a light kiss on his chest and cuddled against him again.
Callen looked at the time and sighed in frustration. "I don't want to leave it here." He looked down at Anna, who was resting her head on his chest. She heard his words and could feel the frustration in them. She didn't want to leave that nice and warm embrace either.
"I don't want you to leave either. But you have a job to do."
"Yeah… Unfortunately, duty calls." Callen then looked down at her and stroked her hair. "Still have time for a shower, though. If you're up to it."
Anna slowly opened her eyes, looked up at him and smiled at the invitation. "Of course."
They got up and walked towards the bathroom, right next to where the bed was.
As soon as she stepped in the bathroom, Anna noticed she was missing something. "Uhm… Callen?"
He ceased his walking and turned around to face his girlfriend. "Yeah?"
"I just remembered I don't have any change of clothing."
"Well… Actually, you do," Callen replied, and Anna's face immediately expressed a puzzled look. So, he promptly began to explain. "Back when you moved to your apartment again, after having taken the job at the ATF, you left some clothes at my house and I thought it was better to keep them. Just in case." He studied her expression while he spoke and was happy to see her smile at it. That was a terrible time for them, back then. But they knew they were through it already and didn't plan on living such a situation again. "I'll get them for you."
Anna's eyes actively watched and appreciated his figure as he walked to the trunk that was placed in front of his couch. He opened it to take out a sweatshirt, shorts and a few pieces of underwear. He handed them to her after making his way to the bathroom again. She took the nice smelling pieces of clothing in her hands and looked caringly at him. "Thank you," she said sincerely, and he nodded. "This was, well is, one of my favorite sweaters and I thought I had lost it."
"Looks like you didn't."
After Anna put her clothes on the bathroom counter, they both got in the shower cabin. It was a considerably spacious one, which means they weren't kicking each other constantly. Callen turned the water on and let it run until it was warm, before he and Anna could step under the shower spray. They took turns to let the water wet their bodies completely and to lather themselves. Anna insisted that Callen was the first, so that he wouldn't eventually be late to work. However, he remained in the shower after he had washed himself and rinsed the shampoo and the soap completely off his hair and body.
As soon as Callen moved from under the shower spray, Anna took her turn. When she thought her hair was wet just enough, she picked up the shampoo bottle to pour a bit of shampoo on her palm and then applied it. She was caught off guard when she felt Callen's fingers run through her golden hair right away. So that was why he stayed, she thought to herself. She couldn't deny how nice it felt to have his fingers slowly and gently massaging her scalp, or to have him give her that kind of attention for that matter. Anna tilted her head back a little so he could proceed with washing her hair thoroughly. She could totally get used to that. Once she felt it was enough, she slowly moved her head to let him know and then rinsed the shampoo off, with her back towards Callen.
He watched her closely and contemplated the way the water kissed her body and how the light made it glisten. He couldn't get enough of how gorgeous she was. Callen "woke up" from his short stare and noticed she was practically done washing herself and her hair. So, he moved closer and placed a kiss on the right side of her neck before he put his hands around her waist to hug her from behind.
It was nice to feel the warmth of his skin like that and his whole body pressed against her, after having been touched and loved by all of it a few hours ago. Neither of them said a thing. They just stood there under the water for a few more minutes to enjoy that level of intimacy they had just discovered. Eventually, Anna turned to face him. She placed a kiss on his lips and whispered a 'thank you' afterwards, to which he responded by smiling softly and stroking her face.
The water had started to run cold, so Callen turned it off and they got out of the shower. Anna quickly got dressed in the sweatshirt and the shorts, while Callen dried his hair. He then put the towel around his waist and brushed his teeth alongside with Anna. With all the hygiene-related tasks done, Callen walked out of the bathroom and towards the wardrobe to choose some jeans and a blue striped shirt, as well as a jacket. He got dressed pretty quickly and picked up what he needed for his job, which were his wallet, the badge and the gun. Oh and his cellphone, of course.
"I'm going to get going," Callen said as he walked towards the door and removed his keys from the lock, while Anna followed him. But before he left the apartment, he turned towards her. "Look, I don't have any Halo Five around—"
"Yeah," she giggled. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. I saw you have some books there, so I guess I'll spend the day exercising my brain," she said in a light tone, while she pointed to the tiny table right next to the armchair, placed in front of his bed.
That was Callen's turn to giggle at her words. "Okay, sounds like a plan. You can also go downstairs. No one's around at the bar before 7pm, so…" Anna nodded. Then Callen closed the distance between them and placed a hand on her lower back. "I'll see you later." He pulled her to him for a kiss, and she kissed him back.
"See you." Anna replied as they let go off their embrace.
"If you need anything, text me," he told her as he opened the door.
"Noted." She smiled softly at him. "Be safe."
"I will." Callen kissed her one last time and made his way down the stairs.
Anna stood by the door and watched him walk down the stairs and out of the apartment building. She hoped that their lives would continue to be like the way they had been in the last 24 hours: calm and as normal as they could possibly get. And hopefully happier.
If only she was able to do something to have the charges against her lifted, so that she would no longer be a fugitive hiding from her friends and the world...

Still Got It
Requested by Anon – could you do kind of a crossover with callen from ncis and Anthony dinozzo from csi where dinozzo flirts with y/n callen gets jealous. Characters – Callen x Reader, Tony, Gibbs, Kensi, Deeks and McGee. Word Count – 603.
‘Hetty.’ Kensi said, as Hetty walked over to them at the table, three men following behind her, taking in the surroundings. ‘Agents DiNozzo, McGee and Gibbs are going to be working with us on this case.’ Hetty informed you, as you nodded you noticed Agent DiNozzo watching you. ‘Great.’ You said with a smile, as you leaned back into your seat. ‘Make yourself welcome boys whilst Gibbs and I talk.’ Hetty said, allowing the agents to make their way into the secluded area and introduce themselves to you all individually. ‘We’ll aren’t you beautiful?’ Tony asked, you heard Sam choke on his water as you glanced at them over Tony’s shoulder, seeing him covering up a laugh. ‘You have eyes agent, congrats.’ You said rolling your eyes, you pushed your chair back and stood up, moving away from your desk. ‘So you’re playing hard to get.’ He said, you raised your eyes brows as you were at the other side of the desk. ‘Yes, agent, absolutely.’ You said, your voice dripping with sarcasm, he smiled widely as you walked away from him and headed to the kitchen area. You flicked the kettle on to boil the water before getting all the ingredients out and grabbing two cups down, upon hearing footsteps. ‘He’s flirting with you.’ Callen said annoyed, you smiled at him as you turned around. ‘Let him have some fun.’ You said, he looked at you confused and rolled your eyes. ‘You know I love you and only you.’ You told him, reaching up you pressed a kiss to his cheek.
‘Ladies first.’ Tony said, opening the door for you. You gave him a smile before stepping through it. ‘Gee thanks.’ You said, walking past him, he was about to step behind you, but G snuck in before him, a satisfied smirk appeared when he heard him huff. But it quickly disappeared when Tony walked past him and started walking beside you, shamelessly sending pick up lines your direction. ‘Does he even realise?’ G asked when Sam got to his side, Sam chuckled and shook his head. ‘Come on G, let him have some fun.’ Sam told him, as he motioned to the pair in front of them. ‘We both know Y/N isn’t going do anything.’ Sam told him, he nodded and let out a huff as he watched Tony flirt mindlessly with you, you gave him a smile every now and then, but you were mainly focussed on your job.
‘So would you like to show me around town tonight?’ Tony asked confidently as he appeared at you side, as you were ordering a drink from Roberta, who was looking between the two of you. ‘You know, you’re sweet and all,’ Tony’s face lit up like a Christmas tree, ‘but I don’t think my boyfriend would like that.’ You told him, turning to face him. His face turned to shock, he coughed and fixed his suit trying to play it off. ‘Boyfriend?’ He asked, you nodded. ‘You see the man with the blue shirt on, and shaved in hair?’ You asked, as you turned and looked at Callen. Tony nodded slowly, Callen looked up and raised his glass at the pair of you, as you looked back over your shoulder to Tony. ‘Ahh.’ He said, a red tint covering his cheeks. ‘Yeah.’ You said taking a drink of the alcoholic beverage he had bought you. ‘So about this case?’ He said, wanting to apologise, you waved your hand dismissing it. ‘It’s fine.’ You gave him a smile, ‘it’s good to know I’ve still got it.’ You replied, he smiled and nodded.
