Holy crap gen z we are literally the latest example of a generation that was screwed over by the previous ones. Start being smarter and NOT fall into the trap of thinking the next generation sucks just because they’re younger and grow up a little different and maybe, I dunno, actually help them become better if you hate them so much considering they’re only like 5 and will only become worse if we treat them like shit????

thinking about college and school and careers and the future is so ruined for me, because now every time I ask "what do I want to do when I'm older?" "what will life be like in 10 years?" I have to remember that the planet will be fucking destroyed and half the animals are going extinct and my kids will never see snow and I won't be able to own a house or anything of my own because we'll have the great depression round 2 and probably wwIII at the same time so what the fuck is the point yk?

Sometimes I have this overflow of remembering so many things that have hurt me deeply, and this deep wave of sadness takes over me.
Why am I thinking of them again? Why do I bother? Didn’t I move on?
I let myself feel the sadness, I forgive myself and anyone else, and then think of magical things that have happened or that I like to create in my head.
Sometimes I have to allow the waves to flow through and past me. I have to stay grounded and loving. And I slowly let myself find peace again <3

as a member of gen z on social media:
gen z on social media really scare me, because they are either commenting on someone’s TikTok being incessantly kind like OMG I WANT TO BE YOU, GOD HAS FAVOURITES
or they are just terrifying brutal like GO KYS YOU ARE SO EMBARRASSING AND UGLY AND FUCK YOU
and there is no in between

How a Gen Z react being fatally injured and conscious:
Stage 1: In shock
Stage 2: Processing the pain
Stage 3: Calls help
Stage 4: Cry while waiting for help
Stage 5: Is in the hospital and happily joked with others
Stage 6: Extra steps for this is one with friends. Decided to send a picture of the situation to friends because it’s funny

Y’all dragging people for hyping up Luigi like he’s a hero, acting like humanity didn’t spend centuries painting royal portraits of dudes who were out here guillotining people for side-eyeing them.

Currently, I’m practicing, more and more, to let go of the notions and ways I believe life works and moves, and allow magic to happen. Kinda like taking a back seat as everything works out perfectly.

I hate it when people are like, “Ugh, kids these days are always on their devices.” Even though I do agree that kids these days need more time engaging with the external world rather than the internet, there’s a lot of things you need to consider before you judge WHY kids are on their devices a lot these days.
Who was the one who raised them to be like that? Who was the one who gave them the devices to BEGIN with? My parents didn’t allow me to have my first iPhone till I was in the sixth grade and I wasn’t allowed to have social media until I hit 18. You know what I did before I had my first phone? I read books, played with toys, goofed around outside, and drew silly comics for laughs. But do you know why? Because my parents ACTIVELY ENCOURAGED me to engage in those activities and even joined in! My mom and dad would always read books to me when I was a kid and they even gifted some of their old books to me! If you wanted to ground younger me, you would have to take her entire book collection!
And don’t you dare act like it’s too late for kids and that they’re forever hooked on their iPads! I remember there was this younger girl that I was sort of keeping an eye on because she was the daughter of one of my mom’s friends. She was completely hooked on her iPad and was pretty much either watching CocoMelon(the horror) or playing Roblox. I tried to bond with her by playing, but my device needed to update the app so I ended up drawing instead while waiting. She immediately was interested by my drawing and when I offered her some of my pens and paper, she TURNED OFF HER DEVICE WILLINGLY and the two of us ended up doodling together!
If you make time to engage with a kid and give them another option of fun that doesn’t involve going on their devices, then they’ll be up to it! Make sure it aligns with their interests! Don’t just sit there, whine, and complain on Twitter or whatever that “kids these days are hooked on their devices,”(which is hypocritical of you since you’re literally on a device) and put in time and effort to engage with a kid before you spill your sour raisin juice energy on the younger generators.
Sorry for the ramble, I just needed to get this off my chest. Anyway, if you’re interested, here’s the doodle I made for the girl i mentioned earlier:
(It’s a bit old, but I wanted to add something cute to my rant)
