Not gonna lie. The first time i watched goncharov it was via a usb of a fuckton of movies a uni friend gave me. Slapped ‘em into a playlist on my iPod, because that’s just kind of how I watched stuff back then.
Anyway I forgot like halfway through that they’d gone with having the full credits being in the opening so when the movie finally faded out I did not realise that meant it was over for real and it took me a solid five minutes to realise the sudden fade-in to the Pink Panther was not a bold artistic choice but, instead, just the next god damn file playing

When winter, at last, falls gently upon the two of us as well 🕯⏳🗡
My space to rave about Martin Scorsese’s 1973 masterpiece Goncharov
Let the film bros know that I have watched and enjoyed Kwaidan and this is still how I choose to treat this movie. It’s basically performance art

Out of character; this is @ow-anteater I’m doing a bit for a while, I promise this will be back to normal in like two days time please excuse the Gonching
Everything is tagged for Goncharov and Unreality. God bless

Could Goncharov kill Macbeth?
Okay, I'm really glad you brought this up, since this is a topic that has... kind of come up before on this blog (See: Steven Universe, Zagreus from Hades) but not exactly so I think this is a great moment to address it:
I think that if being a C-section baby counted towards the Unconventional Birth Clause for MacDuff, then it should count for it when a character is delivered posthumously. Since Goncharov is this sort of situation, with his mother Viktoria having died during childbirth (the wording implies that she died slightly before childbirth, but either way it is explicitly said she died in the hospital), he would count towards the Unconventional Birth Clause.
As for the Gender Clause, I know someone is going to bring this up, so let me make this clear: Goncharov saying "I can no longer look in the mirror and see a man" in the balcony scene with Andrey is just him dramatically saying that he is disgusted with who he has become at that point in the movie. He's not saying that he's trans, he's saying that he's a monster/inhuman. You can headcanon this however you want, but the fact of the matter is that in canon, he's just saying he can't live with himself after what he did to Antonio. So, no, Goncharov does not apply for the Gender Clause.
So, long story short: Yes, Lo Straniero aka Goncharov from the eponymous Goncharov (1973) could kill Macbeth!

He applies for the Unconventional Birth Clause.
Thank you for your submission!

What if I did something horrible to my notification box.
I made a poll with some of the newer trends. I vastly miscalculated what the results would be due to how close the Ides were and how few people knew about the rosin thing.
But now, I redeem myself with the classics and I'll probably miss one so feel free to reblog and make fun of me for it so I can get a larger sample size.
Have fun (:

can you find the original goncharov post?
ah, Goncharov. i remember when this movie first released back in '73. an all time classic, to be sure. one of Scorsese's best...
but now wasn't the time for reminiscing. i had a client in here lookin' for the "original goncharov post." now, i'm sure they weren't lookin' for a vhs release of the original film, so i got to lookin'. i quickly found a screenshot of a tumblr user who bought a pair of boots displayin' the title of this classic film. strangely enough, they claimed it was nonexistent. now, i had seen this film multiple times. so i didn't know what the poster was on about. but nevertheless i tracked it down with relative ease by goin' through a reblog.
here's your post! have you seen the film? it's a masterpiece of cinema i gotta admit. have a great day!

Today, is February 29th.
And therefore, it's fitting to talk about a movie that doesn't exist, on a date that only exists once every four years.
It's very funny to me how we willed a movie into existence, and then allowed it to disappear just as quickly. Why did we let "Goncharov" go? A fake movie so passionately discussed by everyone that we even managed to anger Neil Gaiman.
Not many communities can say that.
Don't forget about "Goncharov". It may not be real, but for a brief moment, it was.
