In The Pale Moonlight: What If....Cloned?
This idea just popped into my head, and seemed real sweet, so @harleyification, hope you like it!
Enjoy and be gentle ---
To say that none of them had expected the atmosphere in the cave when they drove in was an understatement. Jake wasn't a part of the night's mission, but what little he knew, it sounded perfectly routine. Infiltrate and dismantle a hidden lab doing shady shit.
Quick and easy.
Yet tension hung in the Batcave. "Anyone injured?" Jake asked immediately upon exiting his limo. "Nothing worse than some scrapes," Bruce rasped from his chair at the Batcomputer. "Then, what's with that look?" "...It would be better if you saw first."
Seeing as Bruce wasn't giving a straight answer, Jake sighed mentally to a just-woken up Marc and followed him to the curtained medbay. Jake walked through, and stared.
A small child sat on the bed. Her little feet kicked slightly as Jason and Cass taught her the basics of ASL. Behind her, with a gentle and well-practiced hand, Damian was washing grime that had been caked into the fur of her tail. Already cleaned ears on the top of her head showed the shape of colouring of a white tiger.
At Jake's entrance, she turned to blink up at him with very familiar eyes. "Oh hey," Jason greeted casually, "Look who's finally here." "Found baby," Cass signed to Jake with a soft and lightly mischievous smile. "So, you're my dad," the girl stated more than asked. "...Looks like it," Jake eventually managed to get out.
Smoothly, she pushed herself off the bed and walked up to Jake. When she started to make grabby hands, Jake automatically bent to pick her up. Behind his eyes, he could feel Marc as if he were pressed up against a window as he held her close.
Jake let the switch happen, Marc's arms remained firm and gentle around their unexpected child. For a moment, she blinked up at Marc, before settling with her head under his chin with a soft sigh. Tears formed in Marc's eyes at the feeling of her soft ears twitching against his neck. "I take it Oracle's busy with decryption," he whispered. "Indeed," Alfred walked over with an icepack and handed it to Jason, "And until she is done, I think our young Miss would feel more comfortable upstairs. The cookies should still be warm."
As everyone walked into the elevator, Damian took the opportunity to whisper, "If any of you ever treat her anywhere near how Superman initially reacted to Superboy, I will show you true suffering." "We'd let you."
---
Walking home, Greer Nelson could feel that something was going to happen. Anticipation tingled up her spine. Her eyes didn't stop scanning for unseen threats all the way to her door. Then it surged as soon as she closed the door behind her: "I know that you're there." "I know," a voice replied, "I'm just here to talk."
The sight of a Gotham celebrity in a vigilante's garb was not what she'd expected when she flicked the light on in the living room. "Please tell me you're aware that you're not wearing a mask," Greer stated. "Yeah," Marc Spector-Wayne otherwise known as Moon Knight nodded. "And you're maskless in my apartment, because...?"
He swallowed and parted his cape. White tiger ears framed a small face that held his eyes and nose. "Your DNA was used by a...suspect laboratory in Gotham," Marc explained, "We're here about custody." "'We'?" "He might look like only one dad, but he's actually three," their little girl (who's name Greer needed yesterday) piped up. "Part of the agreement is me explaining what she means by that."
For a moment, Greer took this in: "Ok, I'll order pizza, you're paying." At the slackening of Marc's shoulders as he produced his wallet, Greer prepared for a long night. But, hopefully, one that was worth it.

⌨ + Holding Out For a Hero!
“You’re right.  Things have changed.  And it’s my job to learn the ropes and I’m trying to meet with every employee . . .”
He arched his brow and folded his arms across his chest. “You just fired me.”
Greer tried to hide her surprised.  That was not what she was expecting him to say.  She licked her lips and cleared her throat. But an idea came to her.  If she wanted to win Wayne Enterprises back, working her way from the inside might be her only shot. “There must have been some sort of miscommunication,” Greer stated calmly, trying to finish formulating her words.
The man looked at her skeptically.
“I’m starting a new department to help me with my transition into the company.  My intent was to move you laterally to my transition team.”
“You’re kidding.”
Greer stood taller and arched her brow. She was trying to appear much more confident than she felt. “I’m not.  Unless you’d find the role beneath you.”
He eyed her curiously. “I want a raise.”
She nodded her head. “Was already planning on one.”

hot take on a real life Jigen
I know that Monkey punch modeled Jigen on James Coburn, but hear me out. Robert Mitchum is Jigens spirit animal.
1stly, voice. They have the same timber. (Idk what else to call it) I would definitely say epcar and Mitchum are in the same category. Kobayashi is similar too but he is more animated, going into falsetto and such. I also think if jigen sang he would be baritone and talk-sing his way through lyrics.
2ndly, Mitchum's grumpy old man vibe just radiate Jigen imo.
Mitchum quotes:
They got so they wanted me to take some of my clothes off in the pictures. I objected to this, so I put on some weight and looked like a Bulgarian wrestler when I took my shirt off.
The only difference between me and my fellow actors is that I've spent more time in jail.
I gave up being serious about making pictures around the time I made a film with Greer Garson and she took a hundred and twenty-five takes to say no.
[on his acting talents] Listen. I got three expressions: looking left, looking right and looking straight ahead.
People think I have an interesting walk. Hell, I'm just trying to hold my gut in.
When I drop dead and they rush to the drawer, there's going to be nothing in it but a note saying 'later'.
I never take any notice of reviews - unless a critic has thought up some new way of describing me. That old one about my lizard eyes and anteater nose and the way I sleep my way through pictures is so hackneyed now.
Years ago, I saved up a million dollars from acting, a lot of money in those days, and I spent it all on a horse farm in Tucson. Now when I go down there, I look at that place and I realize my whole acting career adds up to a million dollars worth of horse shit.
I never changed anything, except my socks and my underwear. And I never did anything to glorify myself or improve my lot. I took what came and did the best I could with it.
[asked what jail was like] It's like Palm Springs without the riff-raff.
John Wayne had four-inch lifts in his shoes. He had the overheads on his boat accommodated to fit him. He had a special roof put in his station wagon. The son-of-a-bitch, they probably buried him in his goddamn lifts.
There just isn't any pleasing some people. The trick is to stop trying.
Sure I was glad to see John Wayne win the Oscar. I'm always glad to see the fat lady win the Cadillac on television, too.
I kept the same suit for six years - and the same dialog. We just changed the title of the picture and the leading lady.
[asked why he took on an 18-hour mini-series] It promised a year of free lunches.
How do I keep fit? I lay down a lot.
[1969] How the hell did I get into this picture anyway? I kept reading in the papers that I was going to do it, but when they sent me the script I just tossed it on the heap with the rest of them. But somehow, one Monday morning, here I was. How the hell do these things happen to a man?
[1948] I'm a natural hermit. I've been in constant motion of escape all my life. I never really found the right corner to hide in.
[1968] The Rin Tin Tin method is good enough for me. That dog never worried about motivation or concepts and all that junk.
[on working with Faye Dunaway] When I got here I walked in thinking I was a star and then I found I was supposed to do everything the way she says. Listen, I'm not going to take any temperamental whims from anyone, I just take a long walk and cool off. If I didn't do that, I know I'd wind up dumping her on her derrière.
[asked what he looks for in a script before accepting a job] Days off.
[on Jane Russell] Miss Russell was a very strong character. Very good-humored when she wasn't being cranky.
They think I don't know my lines. That's not true. I'm just too drunk to say 'em.
Look me dead in the eye and Tell me this isn't jigen

uni_dayz episode five part two
Today is the campus career fair. I took Theo because he could also find some intern opportunities there. He wasn’t sure why we needed to go this early in our schooling, but I told him it’s the perfect time. You don’t wait until your senior year sir. I also made him dress nice because he attempted to come here in an adidas tracksuit. You will not get a job like that babe.
Theo: I’m going to go look at these tables.
Dakota: Okay! I’m going over here.
I noticed a table that has the logo of one of the best law firms in the country. I immediately walk over to talk.
Tumblr media
Dakota: Hi, my name is Dakota. I’m a sophomore at UBrite.
Mrs. Greer: Well, you’re already doing well so far. UBrite is my alma mater. My name is Jasmine Greer. I am the general counsel for Steele and Hart.
Tumblr media
STEELE AND HART??? So, this is for one of the best law firms in the country.
Dakota: Your firm was number one on my list to work for. You guys do such great work.
Tumblr media
Mrs. Greer: Well, thank you, Dakota. You seem very well put together. What made you interested in law?
Dakota: To be honest, my personal upbringing.
Mrs. Greer: Ah, no need to elaborate further. I understand.
Tumblr media
Mrs. Greer: We have a few clerkships available for enthusiastic students like yourself. If you are interested, I can get you a packet and some contact information.
Dakota: When do these clerkships begin?
Mrs. Greer: I have one available for the fall, two for the spring, and three for the summer.
Tumblr media
Dakota: I would be interested in the summer one. That way I can focus on that without worrying about my studies.
Mrs. Greer: Good thinking Dakota. Always make sure your studies come first.
Tumblr media
Mrs. Greer: Here is the summer information and my contact info. I look forward to seeing you this summer, Dakota.
Dakota: Thank you so much Mrs. Greer. You won’t be disappointed.
Meanwhile….
(Theo’s POV)
I wasn’t really looking for an internship just yet, but Dakota thinks it’s a good idea to get a head start. There is a table I noticed that has a software engineering program. I think I’ll go check it out….
Mr. Wayne: Hello there son. You look data efficient.
Tumblr media
Theo: Haha, yes. I am a computer science major.
Mr. Wayne: Excellent, then you’d probably love the software engineering program we are offering to students who are sophomores or higher.
Theo: Can you tell me a bit more?
Tumblr media
Mr. Wayne: Of course. We offer a software engineering program with limited spots to students wanting to get experience within the tech world. The program offers room and board, with a weekly stipend for your work.
Theo: Room and board? As in you’ll pay for my dorm expenses.
Mr. Wayne: Oh, let me elaborate. The program offers students a chance to study abroad. You would be relocating for the year to Windenburg.
Tumblr media
Theo: As in out of the country?
Mr. Wayne: Yes sir. It’s a great opportunity and you receive a very generous stipend while there.
Theo: It sounds amazing. I’m not sure though…
Mr. Wayne: What’s stopping you son?
Theo: I’m not sure how my girlfriend would feel about me being gone for a year in another country…...
Mr. Wayne: I’m sure she wouldn’t want you to miss out on an opportunity like this.
Tumblr media
Mr. Wayne: How about this, I’ll give you my contact number and the program info packet. Since you are a sophomore, you can’t start in the middle of your year. You’d be the perfect candidate during your junior year.
Tumblr media
Theo: Thank you, Mr. Wayne. I’m seriously considering it.
Tumblr media
Mr. Wayne: Remember, talk to your girlfriend.
Theo: Will do.
This program sounds so awesome. I don’t know how Dakota will take the news though. I think I’ll bring it up at dinner tonight. I’m sure she wouldn’t want me to miss out… right?

Sofia --- We are not cool, my girl. We are so NOT cool... And therefore...
Milo: Ma, Lasky's got this friend, and I was wonderin' if he and his guy could come and join us for dinner on Sunday. I know Lasky's already an extra person-- Marie: Since when is there ever not enough food in my house? Are you saying you've ever gone hungry? Do I not provide for you? Is that what you're saying? Milo: No-- Ma!! That's not the point! Would ya listen already? He's just kinda... He's a little upset 'cause he told his mom about this new boyfriend and she wasn't very understan-- Marie: You know I don't care about things like that. Of course he can come over. With his boyfriend. As long as they like my lasagna and they're willing to say how much better it is than David's in front of David---who I can't stop from bringing food to my house even when I invited him and his mate for dinner. (When is that kid gonna learn?). Anyway, the more the merrier, right? Isn't that what I always say? So..are they shifters, these friends of Lasky? Milo: No, he's a fire elemental. And the other guy's an earth elemental. Marie: Oh good. Then they're bound to have better table manners than your sorry ass. Milo: MA! Marie: *giggles* Listen... how would you know how much I love you if I didn't give you this much shit all the time, huh?

JUST A CRAZY ROUGHNECKS DAUGHTER:
life isn’t much of anything when you’re the middle of 11 kids. on the farm it was early to rise and early to bed, everyone had a chore and unfortunately doris, the eldest of the kids, was given childcare duty more often than not. but the perk of being the middle of 11, is the ability to disappear. her father only cared about three (four) things; god, farm, family, whiskey. her mother followed a similar path and well...granny jo wasn’t the best idol according to her mother. and so ida decided to carve her own way in the world.
you see, the thing about being number six of eleven means you get exactly zero attention. and so you go seeking your attention elsewhere. and ida found that attention in the arms of bobby perkins. she was fourteen, him seventeen, and ida was smitten from day one. he talked her up, picked her up at the bonfires when she snuck out of the house, and promised that he would take her away from eastern tennessee. and then she graduated at 17 (a year early because to everyone’s surprise ida was actually quite intelligent), and took her to the majestic land that was florida.
living in a trailer park as bobby developed a bit of a following with his promise of love and freedom, and god-fearing community, ida realized just how much she liked the spotlight. she liked when people fawned over her, when they showered her with affection, and when they believed the words that left her mouth. it was easy work for her, talking to people, making them feel heard, inviting them in to the group. this was what she was made for.
but bobby didn’t like it. he didn’t like that others started to love ida more than him, that she would say something in opposition to him. always sweetly, always veiled as compliments and adoration for him. and so he came up with the plan to dump her, to leave her stranded, to get her away from his life, his goals.
and then suddenly ida was back on her parents front porch, saying she’d been accepted at ogden with a full ride, that bobby was still in florida and she had no idea what happened to him. and then she kissed her mother and father goodbye and moved to new hampshire for her future.
JUMPED HEADFIRST INTO THE WATER:
starting college as a freshman at twenty came with a whole list of questions. she answered them easily, she needed time between high school and college to get some real world experience. she wanted to travel, to work and save her money, but she always knew she would go, and that ogden was the place.
and then a year later greer started, and ida zeroed in on her. she was perfect for ida’s ego, for her life to befriend such a golden girl. to whisper words of wisdom. but soon greer, either seeing through ida’s facade or just over it altogether, gave ida the cold shoulder.
but she was undeterred, continuing on her merry way but always keeping an eye on the campus golden girl. she laughed when others needed the comedic boost, gave out compliments to those who needed it, and offered her support as needed. but it just isn’t enough is it?
BAPTIZED AWAY MY SINS:
looking forward, ida is hoping to continue to apply herself. charming anyone and everyone she can, collecting people in her pocket for when she needs them, making loyal friends and followers. currently she’s applying to master and phd programs, including the one at ogden, to continue her studies. and she’s keeping her eye out for the golden girl, curious to her disappearance, though a bit thrilled in the mystery. ida would never turn down the drama, and is not above going the extra mile when she’s a bit bored.
GREER:
ida entered college at age 20, with too much real-world experience it seemed. everyone was so boring at ogden, making problems out of nothing, feeding each other’s egos. and yet, ida knew what she could tap into while she was there, the wealth, the connections, the power. everything she needed, what she had never had. and enter greer, a beautiful eager girl with everything ida needed, everything she wanted to be. and so she quickly took to her side, hoping to offer friendship, advice, to mold her into the person that ida needed her to be. and it seemed to work for a while, greer maintaining her own self but still ida could clearly see her influences. until it stopped completely, greer icing her out of her life in one fell swoop. and in less than a year, ida went from building her empire and future on poor little greer, back to nothing. still she kept her tabs on greer, and she knew greer did the same. they acted polite and kind in public, a weird relationship of knowing each other but not really. ida played it off, acting as if greer was but a younger sibling to her. but to everyone else it was just an odd friendship that didn’t survive the test of time in college, nothing more and nothing less.
THE SIREN:
she pulls you in with her sweetness, but only when it’s too late do you realize her true colors. like sirens drown the sailors, ida isn’t afraid to take-down anyone she feels deserves it. Whether it is valid or not. she doesn’t care who it is, and sometimes she does it just for fun. breaking the hearts of boys and girls, dragging people's names through the mud, spreading a rumor to take them down completely. whatever it takes, she’ll do it. for her safety, for her entertainment, it doesn’t matter much to her. but even now, four years later at ogden, people haven’t seemed to really pick up on it. let’s face it, she won’t hesitate to push you in front of a bus, and will quite successfully convince you it had been an accident and she had been trying to save you from the bus.
extra:
previous tasks here
has a small shitty stick-and-poke tattoo of a cowboy hat just above her left elbow
has a small altar in her room decorated with random items that don’t make much sense to the outsider: a deer antler, a picture of a boy (bobby), a jar of ash, a few random stones, a small jar of honey, a jack daniels shooter

James Cagney in The Crowd Roars (Howard Hawks, 1932)
Cast: James Cagney, Ann Dvorak, Joan Blondell, Eric Linden, Frank McHugh, Guy Kibbee. Screenplay: John Bright, Niven Busch, Kubec Glasmon, based on a story by Howard Hawks and Seton I. Miller. Cinematography: Sidney Hickox, John Stumar. Film editing: Thomas Pratt.
The "Hawksian woman," able to crack wise and exhibit grace under pressure as well as any man, is one of the glories of Hollywood movies. In Howard Hawks's movies, actresses as various as Katharine Hepburn, Jean Arthur, Rosalind Russell, Lauren Bacall, Joanne Dru, and Angie Dickinson held their own with domineering males like Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart, and John Wayne. So when I saw that TCM had scheduled a Howard Hawks film I hadn't seen starring James Cagney and Joan Blondell, I thought if anyone could take down a peg the Cagney who became famous for abusing Mae Clarke with half a grapefruit in The Public Enemy (William A. Wellman, 1931) it would be Blondell, Warners' likable tough girl. (Blondell was in The Public Enemy, but she was linked up with Edward Woods instead of Cagney.) Well, here's another missed opportunity: Though Blondell gets top billing with Cagney, he's paired with Ann Dvorak; Blondell gets the forgettable (and forgotten) juvenile Eric Linden instead. And Dvorak's character is no Hawksian woman: Instead of toughing it out with a wisecrack when Cagney's character dumps her, she goes into hysterics. Instead of the witty battle of the sexes we have come to expect from Hawks, in The Crowd Roars we get a passable and sometimes exciting action movie about race car drivers, with a little romantic entanglement thrown in to bridge the well-shot and well-staged racing scenes. Cagney's Joe Greer is a champion race car driver -- he's won at Indianapolis three times -- who goes home to find that his kid brother, Eddie (Linden), wants to follow in his footsteps. So Joe takes Eddie back to L.A. with him, where he's been living without benefit of wedlock -- this is a pre-Code film -- with Lee Merrick (Dvorak). Initially he tries to hide his relationship with Lee to protect the younger man's morals -- to "keep him off of booze and women," as he puts it -- but truth will out. When he decides to break up with Lee, she enlists her friend Anne (Blondell) in a revenge plot: Anne will frustrate Joe's puritanical scheme by seducing Eddie. This doesn't work out: Anne and Eddie fall in love. Meanwhile, Joe and Eddie compete in a race in which Joe's sidekick Spud (Frank McHugh) is killed in a flaming crash -- there's a remarkable series of scenes in which drivers, including Joe, drop out of the race because they're nauseated by having to repeatedly pass the crash site with its smell of burning flesh. Eddie wins the race and goes on to become the star driver that Joe was, while Joe hits the bottle and the skids. Redemption and reconciliation of course ensue. None of this is new and all of it is predictable, but Hawks knows how to pump up the action when everything gets soppy. As for the Hawksian woman, she will have to wait until 1934 and Twentieth Century for Carole Lombard to give her the first satisfactory outing.

Greer arched an eyebrow.  “He doesn’t look very dead to me.”
