okay I hear what you are saying but I need to raise you this: the 6th House final exams involve reciting erotic poetry. the 6th House in general are a bunch of nerdy weirdos. 2/3 of their military is specifically about going out to fuck and breed. The Nine Houses in general, culturally, are literally based on anatomy (necromancy), not even getting into the extensive education Palamedes (and Cam by extension, as his cavalier) would recieve as a necromancer.

i think also a huge part of why artists majorly refuse machine-learning (bc that’s what it is, i refuse to call it ai bc it’s inaccurate and gives tech bros too much credit) is that the people currently championing and developing those tools actively want it to replace artists. They loudly and proudly hate the arts and want every creative professional put out of work. They want every creative HOBBYIST to give up. I have seen machine-learning art generators call us artoids (like ‘femoids’ incels or unhealthily online misogynists use to refer to women. To give you the idea of the kind of hate-fueled superiority we’re dealing with) and circle-jerk to the idea of art no longer being a career and no one being able to ask for commissions anymore.

Machine-learning tools are currently a symbol of people who see creativity and art as an enemy, a boogeyman to be slain. They are designed accordingly - stealing human work to create the data, designing it so that people can generate ‘sketches’ or ‘doodles’ to deceive the layman that it was hand-drawn, using real-world likenesses without consent, etc. When tech bros get tired of weaponizing machine-learning because they think we need to get ‘real jobs’ or that furry porn artists charge too much for comms and need to be stopped, it will probably be a lot easier for artists to embrace it as it’ll be a lot easier to develop ethical tools. On top of making development easier, it could become a great tool to make the visual arts accessible for people that have disabilities affecting drawing ability. It could be a wonderful technology.

But as it stands we’re not there yet.

well I’m certainly not the most brushed up on bloodline lore myself but I will try!

Basically, he’s the first vampire. like in history. also his Herald skin is likely what he looked like as a human, and then he got converted into a vampire through a strange ritual through a cult.

he’s the one who turned the other older vampires, possibly including Counts Banquet and/or Bloody Sword. he’s also in charge of the tome of prophecies which is insanely powerful and possibly dictates what vampires can/can’t do? and bloody sword/the bloodline wanted to steal the book for themselves to make vampires more powerful again (because they can’t expand their numbers WITHOUT the book).

Embrace was sealed away with the book for a long while to keep it out of the grasp of everyone else who wanted to use it, before the bloodline found out where he was hiding. By the time Embrace’s essence happens, both the bloodline and church teamed up (despite being sworn enemies) to hunt him down and get the book.

But then bloody sword shows up in the 2022 Halloween event empty handed and p much implied that the attempt to catch Embrace failed miserably and the story hinted that he’s actually become afraid of Victor, and that’s where things are atm

Ruby anon again! I hope you’re doing well, Sophie! I don’t have any notes, but I do want to share some fun facts:

• Ruby bounced around so many other Pokémon species before I settled on Zorua. The list includes: pichu, Espurr, Gligar, torchic, Teddiursa, Piplup, shinx, budew, Bounsweet, Gible, Deino, Fennekin, Flabébé, Rockruff, Hatenna, and Sprigatito.

• Originally, her abusers were her parents and Ruby was the one survivor of the siblings that were abandoned in the dungeon by the time Twig got there. Then I looked at the idea and said “. . . That seems like a little bit too much”. Afterwards, there were other iterations with the abusers being an aunt and uncle, cousins, or some strangers that took her from her family. There’s more but I forgot the others. Eventually I settled on the abusers being older siblings.

• There was another idea that the siblings actually cornered Opal to force her to tell them where Ruby was and trying to attack her when she refused. I didn’t like the idea and also I feel like if this happened Twig (and maybe Ark) would have committed murder on sight.

• For a brief period of time, the siblings had “names” — but they were really just silly, uncreative names to refer to them by because I had no respect for them. I called the brother “Yeet” and the sister “Delete” (I will use these names to reference them, but please do not keep these as their official names I beg of you-)

• There was an idea that Ruby usually hid around Twig’s house because Yeet and Delete were afraid of Twig. I scratched this because I felt it was better that the two didn’t know exactly who Twig was. Additionally, they also had a strong hatred for Ark. I don’t remember the reason for this.

• Before I came up with the name Ruby, I called her “Dove” — like the peace bird.
