The PJO AU where Percy fails to save his mom in the lightning thief so he leaves Camp Half Blood and joins Luke because he feels like the gods don’t care about him. And now he hates them more than he already did, but he hates Poseidon the most because he feels like he did nothing to help him and his mom. So Percy and Luke bond over hating their dads, and that anger fuels Percy’s power and he causes the downfall of Olympus. In the end Annabeth tries to convince him to stop, but his powers are so out of control that he accidentally kills her and now he’s depressed because it seems like everyone around him dies.

Luke Castellan is gay. He never had a crush on Annabeth or Thalia or anyone like that. Part of him just worried about them like siblings. Him and Apollo were absolutely boyfriends for a time but, like all of Apollo’s lovers, it was doomed to end in tragedy. Enraged by the loss of his boyfriend and his father’s disregard, Luke found himself turning to Kronos. After his death, Apollo had to keep his grief hidden with only Hermes knowing of it. He claimed he was grieving for the children he lost but part of Apollo wept for the bright eyed, blonde haired boy he had once known

Anything that happened in the MCU also happened in the Riordan!verse, except that some parts are covered up by the Mist, while others aren’t (and Percy and crew never watch the news anyway). 

Tony Stark is a child of Athena and legacy of Hephaestus through his father’s side. His inventions are not covered by the Mist as they’re not magic, which is why Iron Man and his actions are visible to mortals, whilst anything related to Thor is covered up as really bad storms. 

Captain America’s actions are sometimes visible and other times are not. Usually, he does fight regular mortals, and in public eye he’s considered a science experiment. In reality, he’s actually a child of Nike that got a blessing of Ares - much like Frank’s - after he jumped onto the grenade. 

Bucky is a child of Hebes, who was abducted by HYDRA to be experimented on due to his healing abilities. 

Sam is a child of Ares who quit the war after his friend died, but he still can’t fight the call to battle whenever Steve shows up.

Clint and Natasha were recruited by SHIELD because they are a child of Apollo and Athena respectively. Natasha grew up in a long-since abandoned Russian faction of the Amazons. The Budapest Operations is covered by the Mist.

Bruce is a child of Athena, not much else changes in his story as once again, his failed experiment was purely based in mortal science.

Wanda is a child of Nemesis who learned to manipulate the Mist as her and her twin Pietro, a child of Hermes, sided with some of Luke’s surviving forces after the battle of New York, before joining Ultron. 

The spider that bit Peter Parker was radioactive purely due to mortal sciences, but the reason he was bit, is because he’s a child of Athena.

Ant-man is a child of Hermes and Hank Pymm is a child of Athena who harboured a special interest in insects due to his hatred for spiders. Once again, the suit is purely scientific. 

Prince T’Challa is a legacy of Bast, and his entire family line is blessed by said goddess (like Frank’s and Reyna’s family with Poseidon and Bellona respectively).

Doctor Strange is a mortal, who ended up at Kamar Taj, a base for the legacies and blessed of the Vishanti, who share their knowledge and skills with demigods and mortals alike.

- i actually liked drew. im so sorry to everyone who hates her but full offence, why. think about it this way ok, first of all drew became hc because silena died. silena was the traitor, the one who betrayed chb, yet after she died campers celebrated her as a hero? and then drew suddenly has to replace her and live up to idk that legacy she left behind,, when all of a sudden this girl named piper swoops in and takes her place. idk abt u but i wld be salty abt that too. not only that, but as an asian, the chances of drew having faced racism/bullying as a child is pretty high (she studies at brooklyn academy). which means that when she finds out shes a demigod, and arrives at chb where most of the campers are white (this is an assumption btw), she’d obviously be scared of being bullied for her skin color right?? so the first thing she wld do before the campers get to bully her is to bully them before they can do so. (sentence structure here is wack i apologize) ofc this might not even have happened, drew could have had a perfect childhood && was a b1tch for no reason, BUT EVEN THEN HER ROLE AS A BULLY WAS PRETTY VITAL BECAUSE THAT FURTHER SHOWED THE CONTRAST BETWEEN HER AND PIPER,, HIGHLIGHTING PIPER AS A HERO//GOOD CHARACTER,, AND THEREFORE MAKING READERS LIKE PIPER MORE. anyway stop hating on drew please. - travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were  thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- hazel and frank (especially frank) need to be hyped up more. i hardly ever see anything about them. also yall seem to forget that frank was literally made praetor and that even hecate admired hazel and was willing to fight beside her because of how powerful she was

- frazels age gap is kinda sketch but i still think theyre really cute

- nico definitely had trauma from going to tartarus on his own

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

- the fact that most of the strong female characters in the series refuse to be “girly”, and ngl i dont really like that. just because ure girly doesnt mean u cant be strong. 

- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up.  the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic

An unpopular opinion

If im right, then Ethan’s main motivation for his actions was spite right? Spite for the fact that he didnt get claimed, or recognized. Even Jason wanted something like that. therefore unpopular opinion: RR does not like changemakers, he just likes percy jackson. It is always the change makers or the odd one outs who die. I think Rick Riordan doesnt give enough attention to characters that arent percy jackson, annabeth chase or white.

Why I like or dislike them

I really like the idea behind his character, especially since he kinda refused the good side twice, and split only in the end. I think the idea is good, but the fact that he is supposedly east-asian makes me quite annoyed. Why is the antagonist east-asian in a mainly white cast??

One thing I hate the fandom has done to them

I hate that most of the fandom just ships him with someone. They’ve kinda destroyed a few aspects of his characters just so that they can ship him with Luke or Jason or Percy. I’m sorry i dont like it.

pitch has not died after the end of rotg , but remains in his sprawling labyrinth to recuperate . slow process , but because he ’ s not bound by belief , it ’ s not as big of a problem for him compared to the guardians .

have i mentioned this before ? i don ’ t think so , but pitch ’ s labryinth takes heavy inspiration from rick riordan ’ s take on the original greek myth of the labryinth .

morrigan sort of wanders the country after the second titan war . she attracts monsters more then she likes , as a daughter of hades , but traveling is still nice . the only time she ever sets foot near the camps is to help chb with the third titan war .

eventually , by trials of apollo , or what is the foreseeable ending of it , she swings by to contemplate being an instructor . it ’ s either that or camp jupiter , & forgive her if she prefers former .

when annabeth finishes remodeling olympus , she goes on to gain scholarships in new york + remodel other gods personal abodes . she digs it .

the second titan war hurt a lot of kids for years & years . it still hurts a lot of them to remember what they lost ; friends , lovers , etc . annabeth becomes terrified of abandonment after nearly losing thalia / percy / her siblings / losing luke . nari finds it hard to pick up the energy to paint or sing after losing michael / the others . morrigan travels to take her mind off of those that died , that were caused by her , by her choice of allegiance .  morrigan & annabeth experience phantom pain from the wounds they received from the war .

not too much of a serious hc for rping , more for fanfic writing / what not , but ethan meant a lot to her . the two of them were exceptionally close as luke ’ s right hands , possibly delving into romantic levels . he died before anything could be talked about & that seriously hurt her .

flicker comes from a rich family but , with the ways of the little nightmares ’ world , the estate was attacked & she was thrown into the life of a street urchin at a young age . the only reason she survived was out of the kindness of older kids , who thought it extremely shameful to leave a baby uncared for , at the very least .
