Maybe he'll revert to being Wen Yuan or perhaps forge his new identity as Wen Sizhui. After all, 'Sizhui' is the gift he cherishes by his rich-gege, but his enmity lies with the Lans, the Jiangs, the Jins and other cultivation sects who wrongfully murdered his family. Most of the main perpetrators are gone, fate already having avenged the Wen remnants by disposing off Nie Mingjue, Jin Guangshan, Jin Gunagyao, but many still remain. Jiang Cheng and the people who raised Sizhui.. Lan Xichen and Lan Qiren. The fact that Sizhui will have to deal with the mental burden of the realisation that he was raised by his would be killers.. who did kill his loved ones, the fact that he will have to battle with the rising conflict in his mind of being filial, but to whom? His grandma who carried him on her weak back and ensured his survival through the worst of the camps which killed his uncle Wen Ning himself? His aunt Wen Qing without whom not even his Xian-gege would have come to help them? His original sect whose leader didn't give a shit about poor farmers like a-yuan's family or his current sect who killed those poor farmers? His fathers who saved him time and again or his birth mother and father whose memories were forever lost to him? Who should he be filial to, whose injustice should he start with? So much veangeace to take, but only one Wen left to fight because Sizhui knows that Wen Ning has fought for a lifetime. It's all down to him.. It's all down to The Last Wen.

Okay so let's have a discussion about the WHB timeline.

I'm trying to organize the time of events to revolve around how Leviathan would feel about Lucifer overall. We know that Lucifer does not show up at meetings where they all gather, Satan's Attacker, the prologue for the new area in the Dark Sanctuary he was not present either.

I know for the most part since Lucifer met Satan first his dynamic with him is neutral. Mammon seems to want to acknowledge him, and Beelzebub well he barely shows up lmao but it seems he has a similar bad history with angels and he has in fact admitted that Lucifer makes him uncomfortable.

This is why I am for sure that Leviathan possibly does not like nor tolerate being around him. He's smart enough to not just waltz up to Paradise Lost and cause problems, but it doesn't mean he wouldn't hold back if Lucifer is within a few feet of him.

This is all speculation though.

Lucifer is older than all of the devils. So clearly this would mean that he has possibly come across Levi when he was a child. I am also inclined to believe Lucifer is the one that started something so most of the devils could escape even if it's indirectly.

But still Lucifer is an angel, to Leviathan he hates all of them and he's no exception. I wonder if Lucifer remembers him though or remembers that camp. And that's what I'm trying to figure out mostly but it involves me pretty much reading a lot of lore heavy Leviathan stories again and then paying attention to Lucifer's small factoids and things.

Phew the more characters that release the more the lore builds and I'm over here trying to build up my notes lol it's all pretty fun but also me having to actually be focused. Though I mean I'm not 24/7 smut brain all the time anyway.

Will Louie befriend any F.O.W.L Members? Including two clones May and June? Does Goldie bring Louie to adventures where she basically messes with Scrooge? (Call back to Golden Lagoon Episode) Can this Louie and Doofus Drake get along?

Goldie does NOT trust F.O.W.L at all, so she tries her best to keep Louie away from anything that involves that group!

Now, regarding the clones, May and June, things are a bit more…complicated. The entire AU revolves around Goldie raising Louie with the help of the other villains, but the way Louie and Scrooge meet is…special :)

It ends with Scrooge thinking Louie is his son because they have the same eyes (and he calls Goldie ‘Mom’) so when Bradford gets the news, he doesn’t see any reason to use/make May and June! (It is implied in the series that May and June weren’t made at the same time as Webby, after all, but they were created after Black Heron grabs one of Webby’s feathers, and then modified with the missing mysteries)

With F.O.W.L thinking that Scrooge has a son, they just focus on trying to kidnap him, it’s not until the end that Bradford realises he was wrong!

And of course Goldie brings Louie along only if she knows it’s not dangerous- or if it’s something he could easily get out of on his own!

She doesn’t bring him to the Golden Lagoon, simply because she knows it would be too dangerous and she would spend more time worrying about her son than messing with Scrooge.

The adventure where Scrooge and Louie meet is off-canon, and it’s also when Louie meets Webby and befriends her!

Louie and Doofus don’t meet during the Only Child Day Episode simply because, well, Louie already is an only child. He befriended Webby at that point, so he doesn’t feel the need to have anymore friends.

Goldie brings him along during Doofus’ party, and that’s where they meet!

(This is probably how it went lmao)

At the end of the episode, he still ends up introducing BOYD as Doofus’s brother, but it also ends with Louie and Doofus actually becoming friends!

At least Louie won’t be staying inside 24/7 anymore, Goldie

With Louie’s brain and Doofus’s fortune these two will give Goldie grey hair

dfghhjkl yeah i've seen those claims and I firmly believe that anyone who's saying any of that needs to take reading comprehension 101. I've talked about this claim a little bit here but to reiterate, kageyama and hinata's bond- their unique connection, the meaningfulness of it, the way that they support and teach and learn from each other- is one of the core aspects of the series. Like, there were so many instances of people commenting about how special their relationship was that I made a list. This post here I think are also relevant to addressing this. (if you couldn't tell, i talk about this a lot lol. But I don't mind talking about it some more)

Point is, they mean a lot to each other. And yes, haikyuu does make a point of showing how volleyball isn't always a 1 v 1 comparison to irl and how volleyball doesn't have to mean everything to be meaningful but at the same time, that's inapplicable to hinata and kageyama because the other side of that coin is that sometimes, volleyball is everything. It could not possibly be more in your face that Kageyama and Hinata formed an instantaneous connection and became a duo to be feared like overnight because they recognized that the other person is exactly like them- someone who will give everything for volleyball, who will never give up, a person who complements them. and understands them. Kageyama's little backstory moment that changed everything (and fucked me up permanently) is that he's been waiting for (someone like) Hinata his entire life. So what if they're not be hanging out 24/7 outside of volleyball? (which they do hang out outside of matches btw later on in life, kageyama asked hinata to play beach vb with kunimi and kindaichi) They already have a mutual understanding about the importance of volleyball in their lives. Also like, even in the last chapter/panel of haikyuu literally just reiterates that for the two of them, volleyball and each other and intrinsically intertwined elements and that they intend on revolving around each other as partner/rivals for the rest of their lives.

If we're looking only at the anime, that list i linked above is entirely taken from season. Like, the the sheer weight of kageyama "i can spike, toss, etc by myself" tobio saying the words "as long as you're with me, you're invincible" like 1-2 episodes later?? This bullshit where kageyama extracts a promise from hinata to follow him to the top of the world still happens in the anime too. That bit in the first Seijoh match where Kageyama says that Oikawa's going to set to Iwaizumi, not because it's the most logical move but because he trusts him so innately that it's the most natural move to make and then going on to make the exact same set to Hinata in the same match?? The extra animated linger on Kageyama and Hinata's fingers touching as they stop the Miya's quick? Oikawa and Atsumu both saying that Kageyama's "wrapped around Hinata's finger"?

I’ve always believed if Louis was going for No.1’s he could do, he’d just produce generic pop or something on trend. But he doesn’t. TF2 Frostpunk AU/Coldfront AU, this is basicslly just a rough fic outline LMAO

The Mercs were transferred to Coldfront and midway through, the 18 (red and blu) ended up stranded in a coldstorm without warning. The communication ceased between Red, Blu and their employers. Red and Blu send out their most reasonable on each team to negotiate a treaty. This led to Red Engineer and Blu Sniper talking.

They decided on a temporary treaty in RED base due to the better insulation. The soldiers were hesitant at first but eventually agreed due to the rest of the teams arguing that theres strength in numbers, and the coldstorm was going to get far far worse (according to the two engies' calculations)

During this, Pauling was on her way to Visit BLU base but got stranded in the storm. No one is aware of this yet.

Red and Blu are separate and full people in this, albeit very similar in personality.

The au revolves around the two teams navigsting the best way to fight the cold. At first. It was just blankets and huddling for warmth, drinking hot soup. Stuff like that. Eventually, electricity goes out and the engies are able to make a coal powdered generator, however it meant they'd need a steady supply of coal.

The soldiers and demos decide they'd start collecting coal during the day while the engies work on trying to create automatons to make the coal mining automated.

The pyros tend to the main fire. Making sure theres a steady supply of warmth somewhere in the base. They scrap having seperate bedrooms, 18 people all sleeping in the living room for warmth as it gets as cold as -30 c

The snipers focus on hunting food, the spies helping with their invisibility, making direct kills far easier. With 4 people cooking and hunting, food isnt too much of a problem.

The scouts leave pretty early on to try and find pauling once they get her alert. The two teams find out thet work for the same woman and decide to put that on the backburner as survival is their number one goal.

The heavies focus on gathering supplies from wherever they can find, if it is crashed trains or abandoned houses, so be it. They occasionally find survivors and point them to the nearest town, the mercs cant handle more people at this point.

The medics spend their time gathering as much medicine as humanly possible and tending to their sick.

A few weeks after the whole situation happens, Pauling is found huddling in a cave, suffering from mild frostbite but staying alive miraculously due to her top tier mann co technology she had on her.

Her leg is amputated however, and the mediguns are both out of juice. They are in -40°c at this point and its only getting colder.

In the coal mines, blu demo gets gravely sick and blu sniper decides to help him 24/7, one less person hunting food. Food is getting harder and harder to come by due to how little animals are around.

A month or two later, things are going decent until they begin to starve. They consider eating each other, specifically a heavy or the sick blu demo, but fight against their instinct and hold onto their morals.

In a moment of rage, red engie cuts off his arm and replaces it with a metal arm due to his normal arm not "being strong enough" as he continues to build automatons, trying to make one that works. Pyro comforts him while Blu engie works on the new arm (installing a prosthetic with one arm isnt easy)

Electricity is shut down so the coal can go to the heat generator that the engies built.

The frost falls to -50°c and the first death occurs. The blu scout. The boy was outside scavenging when all of a sudden, the wind got stronger and he died not far from the base. Red and Blu argue, saying that Red doesnt care they lost a member. Red says they do, but theyre so busy they dont have time to have a full burial. Some even bring up eating the corpse.

Blu argue they can just bury him outside with nothing more but Medic wants to harvest his organs.

Red Spy reveals he's scout's father- and he'd like to have a real burial. Red Scout realizes that spy is also his father- and he breaks.

Their morality does not yet falter.

-60°c

Red Scout and Spy argue one day when the argument turns violent, leading to Red Spy being pushed out and window. Spy loses his arm from frostbite and they avoid each other, fearing the fallout.

-100°c

For some reason the cold got nearly unbearable, and as the group huddles for 7 days without enough food, water or heat, a few pass in this storm.

Blu Pyro, Red Spy, Blu Demo and Red Soldier all die from how cold it has become. Blu Demo and Red Spy were already sick. Blu Pyro died of starvation, giving up their rations for everyone else. Red Soldier volunteered to leave, to try and find food. Everyone else begged him not to go, but he marched into the frozen hell without a second thought. He never returned.

The group buries all the passed without even a thought of eating the corpses passing their mind. The amount of death has kept their morality alive.

Pauling gets a radio transmission from the Administrator, news from the outside world. The entire world is frozen over due to a volcanic winter, explaining why coldfront was nearly hell. The Administrator explains that she could not get any connection into Coldfront, the world isnt nearly as bad as coldfront and the world outside are building massive heat generators similar to what the engies are doing. They need to survive for just 10 more days in the extreme cold- the Administrator has sent a rescue group.

Red engie cuts off his leg, as he wanted to be able to work for longer hours without his leg hurting. He dies of an infection as he hides this from Medic.

Red Scout struggles with immense Guilt

Red Sniper, Blu Engineer, Red Scout, Blu Soldier, and Red Pyro deal with the mourning the most due to their closeness to the passed. Blu Spy mourns the death of his brother, Red Spy.

Red Pyro becomes hopeless and leaves in the midst of the night to try and find food.

They do not come back.

7 days pass, and they are rescued after nearly 8 months of extreme cold.

Deaths:

Red: Spy, Soldier, Pyro, Engineer

Blu: Demo, Pyro, Scout

7/19 are dead.

The Majority Survived.

cartman & kyle’s similarity to peter & lois (FROM THE VAULT [2020])

I wanna compare Kyman to Peter & Lois’ dynamic in Family Guy bc I feel like the two ships have A LOT of similarities. It’s been shown on Family Guy how part of the reason why Lois stays with Peter even though Peter is retarded and he’s always doing dumb shit and causing problems in their marriage, is because Lois likes getting to be the smarter one of the two. It gives Lois her sense of self worth when she can be the one to nag Peter constantly and tell him when he’s doing something wrong, because it makes her feel better about herself to hide the fact that she is a shit person herself with a ton of problems LMAO. I feel like Kyle is the same way with Cartman. I mean Cartman isn’t stupid like Peter, Cartman is smart in a lot of ways but he’s always doing reckless dumb shit too and getting himself into trouble. This is why Kyle likes being around Cartman even though Kyle shits on Cartman all the time. I mean it’s been shown many times in the show that sometimes Kyle chooses Cartman over Stan & Kenny. We’ve talked before about how Kyle has a martyr complex and how he always feels like he has to save the day and fix everyone. And Kyle is also extremely prideful and stubborn, he always feels like he has to be right and hates to admit when he’s wrong. Kyle loves being the smartest one in the room, and he’ll throw a fit or pout if he’s wrong about something or he doesn’t get his way. And this is where Cartman comes in, Kyle likes being the one to lecture Cartman, boss him around, and tell him when he’s wrong because it makes him feel better about himself and it’s been shown how insecure Kyle is and how much he feels like an outcast for being a Jew. It makes Kyle feel good about himself when he’s with Cartman because he gets to be the more reasonable one between the two and take on that role of the voice of reason 24/7. Cartman makes Kyle look less crazy by comparison LMAOO. And this is why Kyle has been a shitty best friend to Stan at times and why he chooses Cartman over Stan in the new episodes. The thing is Stan is just as smart and woke as Kyle, and I do think the reason why Stan & Kyle are best friends is because they’re both the more intelligent and reasonable ones of the show (even though Kyle can act like an immature baby sometimes LMAOO) so they understand each other, and that’s how they became best friends in the first place. But since Stan is more well-adjusted and he’s not bat shit insane like Cartman, Kyle doesn’t get to lecture Stan and talk down to him as much as he gets to with Cartman. In fact, sometimes Stan is the one lecturing Kyle and calling HIM out on his bullshit. And I doubt Kyle likes that because he hates admitting he’s wrong. So Kyle would rather be around Cartman, because he gets to take on that martyr role all the time that he loves having. I mean yeah in a perfect world Kyle would get over himself and learn how to like put his needs first instead of being obsessed with feeling the need to fix everyone else’s problems to feel good about himself, but Kyle isn’t like that and I doubt he’s gonna change. If he did then he would be able to seek out a more positive and healthy relationship and actually get a girlfriend (or boyfriend hehe) for once, but Kyle’s entire world revolves around Cartman and Cartman’s messes.

EDIT: This is under the context of the Dude already knows you and likes you enough to not blow off your head if you try and hug him! Just thought i’d mention lmao

P1: He’s touch avert unless he really trusts you enough to allow you to hug him (which is the only way he’d allow you to do it) and even then at first he’d be real nervous and even a little uncomfortable, but after a while he’d melt into it. Poor guy doesn’t get much affection from others. Once he gets used to it it’ll be hard to get him to let go, basically clinging to you for dear life as if you letting go means he’ll never get to hug you again. The type to nestle into the crook of your neck if you let him. Think of a cat putting its face in a blanket lmao he’s like that. Would offer you hugs sometimes in hopes that he can make you feel just as safe and comfortable as you make him.

P2: Would be kinda confused at first but would return it with some enthusiasm. Actually enjoys them but wouldn’t tell you, but he will initiate them from then on. Would hug you from behind to piss you off, he’s pretty casual about it. Emanating “fine, i guess you are my little pogchamp, cmere” vibes

P3/Alt: Similar to P2, would be confused on why, but is more open to showing that he likes them. Full on bear hugs, the kinda guy who picks you up while he’s hugging you to show how light you are to him lol. Wouldn’t really initiate them, but he’s alright if you ask for them. He’s not too bothered honestly.

BD: A bit of a mix between the last three? he wouldn’t let just anyone hug him, but as long as he knows you fairly well he won’t mind. Doesn’t really know how to give decent hugs, and won’t really show his appreciation, but you can tell by the way he gets real quiet and maybe, just maybe holds you a little tighter, that he definitely wants them from you. After a while he might offer them to you if you need them, but he can’t promise he’ll be any good.

OD: Would at first react negatively “why the hell are you hugging me >:(“, would take him a long time to get used to it, he’s not really into them (or touch in general). If you were really upset and he (surprisingly) decided to comfort you he could swallow his discomfort to offer one, but honestly? They aren’t his thing. The only time he’d willingly hug you is if you were in danger or scared, his dislike would immediately be thrown out of the window as he goes into protective mode, will hold you for dear life until you feel safe again. (To be honest I think every Dude would react the same way, when it comes to your life being in danger they’re holding you in their arms until the dangers over, its on instinct)

P4: God this man is so tired he’ll accept hugs from literally anyone. Just the second he’s offered one he’s in there, decently strong hugs and you might hear him sigh deeply after a little while. He could fall asleep hugging you, any affection he’s given he gladly accepts, and the most likely to offer you hugs out of all of them, literally for any reason doesn’t matter he’s just “wanna hug?”, someone please take care of this sopping wet old ass cat IM BEGGING-

Hi! Great question! Haha! So I'll be honest with you!

In comes with seeing them as individual characters : 

To Charlie, when the first time I saw them (UWO: CHAPTER 5) I already knew this character would grow on me in a way that I won't stop talking about them 24/7 ((Shout out to my Girlfriend who will hear me- talk about Charlie non-stop at most random times..)) 

I do think Charlie is a Fun character during those times. And what I adore about them the most are the expressions throughout the game (UWO) there's just something into it that pulled me into liking Charlie more than the others (probably because of how crazy they look)- Finding CIU in the Play Store is gives me excitement as I started saying stuff like: "Ehh?? there's a part two?? no way" and of course like every simple minded person- I installed it (lmao) 

Finishing the game, I felt that the game had more holes that needed to be covered. But later on, I found out that the game was rushed due to the contract being over, so it's understandable- I'm just thankful that the game was released and not canceled, haha! 

But anyways!!! CIU honestly showed me another side of Charlie that I never truly expected. Knowing that side of Charlie just made me love their whole character even more ((even other players not very fond of it)) 

And to Mike: 

Oh, Mike that silly-looking boy. At first, I never really paid attention to him like every other person does since he probably only had 10?) or a bit more dialogue. But he soon grew on me as I kept replaying the game to get the other endings alongside the other achievements, which came with the Fanarts of him and Charlie together. ((those fan arts pushed me so now my entire works only revolve around them, not that I'm complaining or anything:]]] ))

In full honesty. I feel bad about what happened to him like Broo got one of his eyes taken out! it probably confused the crap out of him since neither of them expected it to happen- and I bet it hurt like a b*** 

((i know,since i almost got one of my eyes taken out by my nephew during my 13's the knife tip didn't meet my eye and i am glad that get to dodge it- but still side of my eye still bleed so not Gucci))

Overall I view Mike as an interesting character whom we need information other rather than "Charlie's friend" not to mention.

We also need a piece of information as to what might happen to him after the Eye-stabbing incident. He's friendly towards other students. He is your typical Social Butterfly. I swear he has the energy of that college senior who will approach a lost Freshman then them out on the whole campus and later check up on them during the first week.

And to the question of how I more likely see them together :

Charlie and Mike are together like a pair you'll never expect to work. Both have their strengths and weaknesses but can still make things look easy. Let's put it away like they are doing a collaboration project together. Who knows? They can defend the whole research together or by themselves as if precisely doing it isn't all nerve-wracking.

However, if you meant that question as "both in a romantic atmosphere" 

Then I can tell you how Charlie and Mike won't realize their growing feelings. Mike will probably catch into it one day, as a sudden realization hits him that leaves to say something like:  "Holy F- I'm catching feelings for Charlie-Charlie..."  out of the blue.

However, he would most likely push those feelings aside. He knows to himself that Charlie doesn't need to be with anyone else who needs the teen to be in a romantic setting. He might never say it by word. Mike respects his friend's boundaries and is careful towards the teen, always checking if Charlie's all right with doing things that are out of the teen's personal preferences. 

They are taking things slow since Charlie doesn't like fast turns and somewhat still needs to get used to slowly opening themself out to the world. 

For Charlie, if they realize. I guess it will take them a long to come to terms with it and most likely keep it to themselves like Mike's since they aren't sure if the feelings are true or if it is just a mutual thing since it is only Mike who put an effort into knowing and understanding them.

D’Jok- Your abilities and protectiveness- D’Jok lives and breathes football but he also loves his friends without a doubt. I can see him just admiring and valuing you as an essential part of the team and seeing his admiration grow further as he learns of your fierce nature. He’s ready to fight/argue alongside you 24/7,especially when someone takes a jab at the team. He also respects you a lot so he’s willing to listen to you whenever he’s doing some dumb shit.

Micro-Ice- Looks and sense of humor- Call him shallow but looks are the first thing he notices,he believes they’re a reflection of character from the way you dress to your face structure. If you happen to be his type or he simply finds you intriguing he’ll bombastically walk over to make an…admittedly awkward first impression by tripping over air and face planting into the ground. Mortified,he’s shocked when he heard booming laughter from above and sees you toppled over holding your stomach, he begins to laugh, genuinely.

Mei- your position as a striker lmao Charisma and Genuineness- Before joining the SK she’s hid her true self as a means of getting her way and impressions people it was a useful tactic but a very draining one. Then when she joined the team she met you,who was just so open and not afraid to express themselves , it annoyed her at first and she may or may not have made some passive aggressive comments your way ,but secretly she gravitated towards that. The she found out how enchanting you were , at times you made her feel at peace then made her laugh so hard her stomach hurt. She knows she’s in for a ride with you and the SK and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ahito-Motivation and understanding- Ahito sometimes goes into sort of a depressive state whenever his illness strikes in a particularly impactful way to the team ,boy loves what he does so much and occasionally he wonders how life would be if he never had his illness, then you come in,not with pity but inspiration and a desire to help cheer him up. Ahito always feels at least s little bit better after playing video games with you or going on a job and just talking and he knows if he were to fall asleep during you’d just carry him back to the academy only to joke about it together later.

Rocket- Intelligence and maturity- Rocket is a team player, he believes a team is at it’s best when everyone works as one and as a team captain he strives for harmony in the team even when some people make it difficult (*cough*D’Jok *cough*) . He’s grateful to have someone to confide in and help him organize his thoughts but a,so joke around with. He adores the fact that you strive to sort out a problem instead of ignoring it and letting it boil over later. He truly recognizes you as a vital part of the team and a great friend.

Sinedd- Strength and a tactical mind- He’s all about strength and his team’s “strategy” canonically revolves around passing the ball to the strongest player (him) and scoring. So I know that he would secretly be really impressed by someone who’s stronger or at his level but also smart enough to work around The Shadows’ trash defense. He’s intimidated by you so he probably will be an ass to you, at least in the beginning.

hello guys! i'm here with a new fic! :) *shoves all unfinished wips back into the basement* this one is totally not inspired by rdr 2 which is definitely not actively sabotaging my grades and responsibilities right now by making me play it 24/7, because, as you are all well-aware, i'm a fully functional human being!

Summary: after an ambitious heist gone wrong, professional outlaws Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Mick Mars are stranded in a city full of lawmen hounding them and with not a single dollar in their pockets. To start a new life in another state, they need a great deal of cash - and they decide to get it by temporarily becoming the men of law themselves and bringing to justice one of their own kind, who not-so-coincidentally also has a tremendous bounty to his name.

A/N: this takes place in California in 1880s, and in my attempt to be as historically accurate as possible i had to google the etymology of so. many. expressions. but i learned a lot of new things! :) (if i do get something wrong, though, you're welcome to tell me) i decided the chapters in this one will be shorter than usual (no 5k monstrosities lmao), and i'll try to post them more often too.

Chapter 1.

Word count: 1545

Even after five years of the life of an outlaw Tommy remained dreadfully - even deadly - thoughtless. Otherwise he would have reconsidered trying to sneak up from behind to Nikki downing a shot at the bar counter. The whiskey ended up in his eyes, and Nikki’s revolver – pressing between his ribs.

“Ouch!” Tommy’s hands flew to his face, and the piece of paper he was holding glided down onto the counter. Some whiskey got onto it, but mostly at the corners, so the text was still readable.

“Don’t rub your eyes, it’ll make it worse,” Nikki advised, reaching for the paper. The next second the half-full mug of beer belonging to a guy sitting next to him was upended above his head. Two indignant cries blended together, putting “I’m gonna end you” across perfectly without a single word. Nikki’s was louder, though – it was him getting a beer shower, after all, and it wasn’t even good beer.

“No guns!” the barkeeper warned and immediately exempted himself from his own rule, pulling a Colt New Army from under the counter. The “argument” – or, rather, six of them – was compelling enough for both Nikki and the guy to reluctantly holster their weapons. Not that Nikki would actually shoot Tommy, but he had to keep the little shit on his toes. The other guy, though… this saloon was the hottest spot in town for crooks and lowlifes, and they were always quick to anger. Nikki and Tommy blended right in for that very reason, but also ran certain risks because of it.

“Sorry, partner,” Nikki turned to the now beerless guy that turned beet-red and looked like he was going to explode, “this idiot here is pea-brained and even that pea usually goes unused. Lemme buy you another beer.” He fumbled in his already very light pockets with growing anxiety until his fingers brushed against a warm half-dollar and slid it across the counter to the barkeeper. Then he stood up, shook his head like a dog, spattering the beer on the counter, barkeeper and the guy, put on his hat, grabbed Tommy by the elbow and forcefully led him to the exit. The kid apparently realized he had just done something outrageously stupid and obediently allowed Nikki to drag him out of the saloon and into a narrow alleyway behind it. Judging by suspicious brown stains on the ground, it had quite a history of dispute settlements.

Nikki didn’t intend to go to such extremes, of course. A lot of lessons could be learned without bloodshed: a couple bruises would do the job just as well. Tommy endured his mandatory punch in the face without a single complaint, which was unusual of him, as it was his favorite thing to do. But this time he just wiped his nose with his calloused hand, avoiding looking Nikki in the face. Was he actually sorry?

Nikki was gonna give him some more tongue-lashing, but decided against it.

“Do not startle me like that anymore,” he only said tiredly. “The last thing we need right now is a commotion. And that was exactly what you almost did.”

“You splashed whiskey on me first,” Tommy murmured defensively. Well, maybe he wasn’t actually that sorry.

“Because you startled me! You know not to come up to me from the back like that. You’ll get punched. Or splashed. Or both, like in this case.”

“Well, it ain’t my fault you’re that neurotic! No lawman ever goes to The Diablo. You don’t have to be so vigilant there.”

“You’re a fool,” Nikki said almost fondly. “With a bounty like ours, any criminal will readily convert into a man of law just seeing us. Which is why we should prevent their looking as much as possible.”

“Taking after you,” Tommy grumbled. Nikki graciously ignored it, because it was true. “And if you hadn’t doused me in whiskey and listened instead, I would have suggested we do it too!”

“What?” Nikki frowned, but the menacing effect he aspired for was ruined by a very untimely sneeze. The beer odor kept assailing his poor nose, completely blocking his sense of smell. He needed a bath real bad, but going looking for it to a hotel or a bathhouse was hardly better than walking right into the police station. His posters were hanging on every pole in town, and these places were among the first to be informed of wanted outlaws in case they try to seek shelter there. Nikki had since shaved off his beard, of course, losing at least five years and the charm of a highway robber together with it, but he still didn’t wanna risk it.

“Look what I found!” Tommy pulled a wad of paper out of his pocket and handed it to Nikki. Upon unwrapping it, he recognized the piece of paper that Tommy brought into the bar. He hadn’t noticed him picking it up again, but the kid was extraordinarily, even unnaturally nimble-fingered and took to thieving like a duck to water. Nikki’s been doing it since he could remember himself, but next to Tommy he was an absolute jackleg.

The layout on the paper looked familiar. A huge WANTED on top, a mugshot underneath…  

“A bounty poster that is not of us?” Nikki skimmed through the text until he got to the sum. It wasn’t dark enough in the alleyway, and Nikki only had one whiskey shot, so the zeros shouldn’t have been doubling in front of his eyes, right? He twisted the poster, held it an inch away from his eyes, then extended his arm as far as he could, trying to catch the stray zero fleeing from the scene, but all four of them stood their ground. Eventually he did come to the conclusion that the sum offered was real. And all that just for one guy?

Then Nikki read the charges, and things got a bit clearer. Murder, including that of an officer, theft, armed robbery, breaking and entering and… sodomy?

“Quite a character, right?” Tommy grinned as he saw Nikki’s eyebrows fly up. “And would you look at that hefty sum! It could last us a few months until things settle down a bit. Just for bringing one guy in!”

Nikki looked more closely at the photo of the criminal. Well, he could as well have had “sodomy” written all over his face: long blonde hair, plump lips twisted into a lecherous smile, and a heavy stare from underneath thick long lashes… if Nikki hadn’t read his name written on the top, he would have taken him for a wanton woman.

But no, the name – Vincent Neil Wharton, usually going by Vince Neil – was clearly male. Unless the doctor was drunk during his birth and his mother never bothered to check.

“Whatcha staring at?” Tommy narrowed his eyes, and Nikki finally managed to tear his gaze away from the photo. Then his lips stretched into a sleazy grin. “What, lack of gals hitting you that hard?”

“Hey, you took the poster, not me,” Nikki snapped back. “So many bounty posters out there, and you picked this one! Says something about you, huh?”

“Yeah, it says that I like more money for less effort,” Tommy retorted easily. “The biggest bounty of the rest was half of what’s offered here.”

“It’s that high for a reason,” Nikki hurried to curb his enthusiasm. “You see that list of offences? This guy knows what side to grip the gun from and ain’t got no morals to hold him from using it. And you know how the cops are – they wouldn’t have offered such a sum if they could catch the man themselves. Besides, he’s wanted alive, which makes it ten times harder.”

“What, are you scared of him?” Tommy laughed. Nikki loved hearing him laugh – Tommy always managed to find something funny in any situation, however desperate. Unfortunately for Tommy, Nikki’s dislike of being mocked exceeded that love by a large margin – as, coincidentally, did Nikki’s muscular mass compared to Tommy’s. So the next few minutes the kid was eating dirt – not on his own volition, of course, but he had no other option with Nikki’s knee pressing into the small of his neck, and thrashing around and shouting curses only made it worse.

Soon enough Tommy came to accept that his only choice was to surrender and stopped writhing in Nikki’s grip. Nikki held him down for a few more seconds – for the lesson to assimilate better - before letting him go. Their fights always ended like this, no exceptions, yet Tommy never learned.

Tommy slowly rose from the ground, spit out soil and licked his split lip.

“Was that really necessary? Another punch would do the job just fine,” he murmured with resentment.

“It wouldn’t, your skull is too thick.” Nikki picked up the long-suffering bounty poster again. “And I’m not scared, I’m being reasonably careful. As you should be too.”

“It’s gonna be three against one. What’s there to fea- be careful about?”

“You don’t know the man. There’s always something.”

“Now you’re just overthinking it.”

“Gotta think for the two of us.” Nikki folded the poster and shoved it into his pocket. “I need to talk it over with Mick. Let’s get out of here.”

Norn9: Var Commons Part 3 - Sakuya Nijou Route

I'm not too interested in Sakuya because it feels like his whole character revolves around Mikoto but we'll see I guess. It's sweet to see Mikoto's perspective though. She always sounds harsh and bossy, but seeing how caring she is and how considerate she is towards others is sweet. Lmao when Mikoto is annoyed and angry and doesn't want to agree with Kakeru but his plan has no fault in it so she just 'hmph's him and Sakuya translates what she means😂 I was thinking that conversation about the traitor seemed too well prepared so it's nice to see that Kakeru and them all talked with Mikoto about it. And it's interesting to see how Mikoto thinks Koharu is taking the traitor thing so hard because she wants to be friends with everyone and not think they're a traitor and I guess she's not exactly wrong, but the biggest problem she was facing at that moment was the thought that they would view her as a traitor because she's a pyrokinetic. I completely failed to realise that Mikoto's team only has two other people, so whoever she doesn't choose is alone and might be viewed as more likely to be a traitor since no one is monitoring them.

It is strange that Sakuya who should be a gentleman didn't help take Nanami back to her room and didn't help Koharu when she tripped, I wonder what his promise with Mikoto is? As for Heishi and Itsuki, lmao at them sleeping in the kitchen. I love the Hiyoko Channel, I found it so funny to see Masamune and Mikoto be so similar in that they're very rational worrywarts that try to think of solutions towards every bad possibility that may occur. I try to do that too so I can totally understand. To think that their promise is that they'll never fall in love with anyone, that's quite restrictive.. I never thought about Mikoto erecting a barrier 24/7, that's very tiring, I can see why Masamune and Kakeru would recommend her to rest and take breaks, but I can also see why Mikoto refuses to, because she doesn't want to see the people important to her get hurt when she's resting since she'll blame herself. Sakuya pulling Mikoto away from Itsuki was amusing, Itsuki really likes to help the people around him understand their feelings lol. It's sweet that Sakuya was the first person Mikoto really wanted to protect because he always had a frail body as a child. But it must have hurt for him to hear that Mikoto wouldn't mind swapping to another partner. But I guess he cares for her more than himself. Even though I really like the Kakeru and Koharu pairing, I can't help but wonder about a Kakeru and Mikoto pairing, I like their mutual respect for each other even though they don't really like each other, but I think they would match well in a way. It's actually quite sweet how honest Sakuya can be about expressing his feelings of wanting to stay beside Mikoto forever.

Both Sakuya and Mikoto really blame themselves too much, but I do like how they both prioritise the other above everything. They obviously love and care for each other but feel restrained by their promise and their powers to really do anything about their feelings. I like how Koharu glared at Kakeru and he immediately stopped pressing Sakuya and Mikoto😂 I know he was already done anyway but it was still quite funny. I love seeing how protective Nanami and Koharu are over Mikoto, it's so adorable haha. Sakuya as the Prince in Cinderella is very fitting, but yeah I can see why Mikoto ran away in shock when Sakuya got hurt to protect her now. It seems that his prediction of the future shows him dying to protect the person he loves, so if Sakuya loves her, then that means he'll die protecting her, and I don't think Mikoto can handle that knowing she's basically killing him by loving him. I'm not sure about how I feel towards the CG of Itsuki hugging Mikoto with Sakuya holding the glass slipper watching them, like noooo. I didn't need a CG of pain.

Even though what Sakuya did to Mikoto was wrong, especially tearing her clothes and stuff, I'm actually glad he finally stopped his kind facade. He's always endured the regret that he told Mikoto about this future of his making them becoming more distant. He's always thought that since Mikoto doesn't want it, he'll just be satisfied staying by her side. He's always tried his best to keep their promise because he wants her to be happy. So, seeing him finally break down and express his true feelings was great, just didn't like how it happened. I've been really enjoying the interactions between Heishi and Nanami in this route, it's so cute how he just casually said they should get married before they get to the destination hahaha. Heishi cheering Mikoto up was cool, I'm glad he told her to rely on them more and have people help her instead of thinking she needs to be the one to help Sakuya, everyone wants to protect him too! I'm glad Sakuya was reflecting on his actions, I really enjoyed seeing them finally have their feelings connected and Mikoto finally accepting that they'll try and find a way for them to live together rather than force themselves to suffer like this. I love the meeting with each girl's partners discussing how they should save Sakuya, it was so funny when Kakeru called Heishi a bloodhound with no sense of smell and Heishi started barking at him😂😂 I love the angry Koharu that can make Kakeru stop being mean or silly😂 HAHAHA, Itsuki pretending to be Koharu and telling Kakeru that she loves Itsuki and that she's going to be with him from now on killed me😂 I'm happy for Sakuya that he finally realised that Mikoto was actually confessing to him in that dream though lol. I'm glad Sakuya also finally understands that even though he's happy to sacrifice his life for Mikoto, he needs to live to protect her happiness. There's no point of living if she's ridden with guilt and sadness over his death.

Even though Mikoto is unable to tell him she loves him because the future hasn't changed yet, it's so nice to see them both understand each other's feelings and embrace that fact in their conversations much more openly now. I am actually quite shocked that Itsuki doesn't have any powers, he hides it very well. Ron having the power to make people dream certainly doesn't fit him though haha. I wonder if Itsuki somehow transferred this power to Ron? I kinda wanted a proper discussion over whether they should do the Reset or not but instead Mikoto wanted to do it to save Sakuya and it just became kinda decided lol. It was expected that Sorata was in fact from the past, so I guess that means he's known Aion since back then and he wants to save her now? I'm happy that they get their happy ending but this game really doesn't care about the plot huh? Lol.

The tragic love ending is exactly what you would expect, but I didn't expect more of Sakuya's perspective from his childhood and thoughts on the things that happened before they arrived at the destination. It felt so sad to think about how worthless Sakuya felt, and how he felt like there was no reason for Mikoto to come visit him all the time when he had nothing to give her since all he could do was stay in bed in his room and think about her all the time and when she'll visit next, so when he received a vision of the future where he would die for her and finally become "useful" to her, he couldn't help but feel happy and glad that he could finally do something for her and not the other way around. Seeing him so innocently and sincerely think that dying for her was the only thing he could ever "give" her just broke my heart, so even though I feel like the happy ending was rather bland, I'm happy for him that he finally found that living with Mikoto can be happier than dying for her. I love the short story. Mikoto imagining how happy and impressed Sakuya would be if she was knowledgeable and good at handicrafts and flowers was just so funny hahahaa. Other than it being hilarious how bad Mikoto is at alot of things, it really shows that the person she is right now is really derived from all the hard work she's been putting in to her duties and everything her whole life. It was so funny when Senri thought her ikebana would curse people, and I have to agree with Heishi that it's amazing how she used fresh flowers just like everyone else but her ones are like basically dead😂😂😂 I really loved how Sakuya could see past the beauty of Mikoto's ikebana and thought about how to better show it than dismissing it as just beautiful because she made it or something. Definitely a 10/10 short story, it could have been the route itself with how well it did the character interactions, Mikoto's determination to improve and Sakuya's happiness at knowing how cherished he is by Mikoto haha.

Overall, I wasn't sure how I would feel towards Sakuya in the beginning but I actually quite liked his route! Sure, it had annoying moments when both Sakuya and Mikoto just kept avoiding each other through their words and actions to prevent Sakuya's premonition of the future from happening, but it was understandable. I think what I enjoyed the most was how important the fact they were childhood friends was. A lot of childhood friends tropes make me think what was the point of them being childhood friends, but for Sakuya and Mikoto, I think the game did really well in expressing that even though they only shared a brief amount of their childhood together before they separated and saw each other again on the ship, they both think of the other as irreplaceable childhood friends and never forgot their time together because it impacted the both of them so much. For Sakuya, he could never forget the girl who always visited him and brightened up his dull life, and for Mikoto it was the first time she ever felt like she truly wanted to protect someone with her newfound powers. They both cherished each other and wanted the best for each other even though Sakuya's power ended up creating a barrier between the two. I think I'll be sad to see Mikoto fall in love with Itsuki and Natsuhiko in the other routes knowing how much Sakuya loves her but I guess it is what it is. I definitely really like Mikoto as the heroine, she's tough, strong, hardworking but also very fragile and considerate, she's great in every way haha. The plot was definitely irrelevant but I've kinda understood from reviews that I shouldn't have any expectations towards the plot, but apparently this is rectified in Last Era so I'm excited for that. Anyway, what I enjoyed about this route was that beyond both Mikoto and Sakuya's perfect exteriors are two people who are actually quite weak, so it was nice to see them learn to rely on each other and the people around them to realise that they don't need to be bound by one future and that they can try towards other futures too.

My original story is called Everything Burns and is a modern urban fantasy taking place in an unspecified coastal American city (It may get named when I decide for sure which it is). The universe premise is that everyone knows psychics exist, but they're still treated with a lot of trepidation/misunderstandings since no one knows why some people have psychic gifts and why others do not. Some psychic gifts are also devastating and there's a lot of persecution for those with more dangerous abilities.

The plot revolves around the main character, who works with a group of private detective psychics of varying abilities, working with investigators to solve a series of strange and clearly not natural murders.

ooh okay for jensen this one mostly revolves around his intrusive thoughts, especially with food. a lot of time they end up being things like eating things he shouldnt/can't, and causing serious bodily harm to himself bc of it (breaking teeth, food poisoning, death, etc). there's no specific foods/things that make it happen, but when it does it def makes his skin crawl (especially for things like bugs and shit)

okay bryces ive really thought about, and im fully convinced that the one thing he can't do is eyes. like he can perform just about any surgery anywhere but eyes freak him tf out. even watching people put contacts in gets him from time to time. blood and internal organs? fine, perfectly cool. eyes? hell the fuck no

this one's difficult for both of them ngl. they had their good moments, but both of them are much happier where they are now and know it's better conditions. i think jensen would mostly miss the good moments w his mom, and bryce would miss spending time w keiki

jensen is really proud of himself for how much he's worked on his body/physique. he's was pretty scrawny for a long time but he really put in the effort to build muscle and have a consistent gym routine. other than that, he has an amazing smile amd he knows it

can i just say everything for bryce lmao. i think there are more specific parts he likes, like his hair, but overall he's perfectly content with his appearance

ALMOST. it ALMOST got me with soo-won. soo-won reminded me a lot of my grandmother, so it hit a very big personal spot for me. ESPECIALLY doing some of the dragons end things where she talks to aurene afterwards. it very much reminded me of the conversations she used to have with me, laying in bed, very sick. so it was PERSONALLY pretty gut wrenching. but i haven't cried. if we're talking about my most begrudged moment. uhm. fighting mordremoth was a pain in my ass. it didn't have the save/checkpoints yet. i also didn't know much about the game yet and was still playing basic engineer with the revolvers. i did not note because i was so freaked out with this being the big boss fight, that he reflects almost all projectiles 24/7. so i kept killing myself and ended up having a panic attack about it LOL. i then found out after slowing down that he reflected projectiles and swapped to scrapper for the first time. would you believe it that because of that experience, i started playing scrapper. and i never went back really LMAO. otherwise if you mean narratively, i'm unsure!! i think my most eh moment was somewhere in icebrood. i feel like the whole thing was kinda rushed compared to the other living world seasons so it felt really weird to go through it so fast and so. oddly. compared to other seasons.

i very much hc him as bisexual , usually in my mind he’s cis but i love transmasc Koby too. he’s perfect every way. but i am very much of the opinion he is very muscular either way and dedicates himself to being in the best shape possible.

my oc is a marine so A LOT of my hcs are revolved around a marine s/o who’s his superior. they’re on garp’s ship together and he gets them to talk. oc is a bookworm and has no social skills but Koby is enamored with their insane amount of knowledge and passion for reading and enables their infodumping 24/7, borrows books and they work out together. they get close over their Marineford trauma and eventually cross the friends to lovers bridge because they spend sm extra time together after and understand exactly what’s going on with the other’s mind.

and even though they wouldn’t be able to be together often, I think Koby is a very mature and understanding partner who is able to handle long distance and leaves little notes for his s/o to find, calls them at night once his work is over, and always makes sure to hug them whenever they see each other again. he gets little trinkets for them or a small bouquet of flowers if it’s been longer and will spend the entire night with his attention on them.

i think he’s awkward but well meaning early in a relationship!! scared of messing up or worrying he’s not good enough and still being oh so very shy later down the line. kiss him long enough or pepper his face in little smooches and he will be so!! So embarrassed!! but he loves it… he’s less forward physically but loves to talk and just. look at his so and admire how pretty they are. but I think he loves spooning them and kissing the back of their neck, their cheek and their shoulder at night, or their forehead if they’re facing him. he loves it when they lay on his chest and caress his face. he would be insanely flustered but so tickled by them wearing his shirts or jackets, his old bandana too…
