Everyone felt confused as the glow of the summoning circle finally died down, the League had managed to subdue the cultists too late and now...
Wait, who and what were the cultists trying to summon?
Constantine stared at the ghost? bride?? That appeared over the summoning circle, looking confused and tired. The lead cultist had clearly screamed about summoning the Ghost king... wait, this dumbasses didn't accidentally managed to summon its bride did they???
Oh no, oh nononononono--
Danny just want a nap after a whole week of doing paperwork.

Quietly coming back to add to the silver haired-lilac eyed-Lucerys agenda.
Aemond and Lucerys are married off to each other to mend the family’s relationships. Both enter the marriage absolutely despising their situation, Aemond more so than Lucerys. (Because let’s be real, this was the same boy who maimed him) But right after the birth of their first child, the two manage to fall in love with each other. Aemond becomes extremely putty to those dark curls and soulful brown eyes. Now the most hilarious part of this is after every birth of their child, a portion of Lucerys’ hair turns silver and his eyes become lighter. By the birth of their sixth child, Lucerys’ hair is more silver than brown and his eyes are nearly the same shade as his mother’s. If you ask anyone, he looks like a carbon copy of the Queen Rhaenyra.
Everyone would have thought Aemond would be pleased, seeing as Lucerys was finally starting to look like an “actual” Targaryen but to their surprise his reaction is the exact opposite.
Cue Aemond running around in panic and threatening the maesters to treat his poor husband because his precious dark brown curls are losing their colour and so help him, he will burn Westeros to the ground if he can no longer gaze upon those big brown eyes of his.

Rough translation of the song Roier told Cellbit to play after the server closed. Fuck The Reason, this is spiderbit's song now.
El Triste - José José
How sad it was to say goodbye
When we adored each other the most
Even the Swallow emigrated
Presaging the end
How sad everything looks without you
The seas from the beaches are gone
The colors are tinted with grey
Today everything is loneliness
I don't know if I'll see you again
I don't know what will be of my life
Without the blue bright Star of your being
That won't light me up anymore
Today I want to savor my pain
I don't ask for compassion or piety
The story of this love was writen
For eternity
How sad everyone says I am
That I'm always talking about you
They don't know that thinking of your love, your love
I've been able to help myself live
I've been able to help myself live

One thing I appreciate is that they have been showing how depressed some of the characters are by having them do things incredibly out of character for them
Simon threw away a child’s book, making her cry, which given his own daughter he would never do in a good headspace
Prismo took someone saying wish on accident and used it as there one wish, when he actively refused to use up Jake’s one wish for a sandwich
The Lich held up the main trio and could’ve killed them, but decided not to, which is the most surprising of the three
I like this but also it’s mostly caused by the fact that the characters got what they wanted:
Simon only became so hostile cause he was constantly reminded how much happier and cooler they saw him as Ice King despite him wanting to be Simon. He’s realizing it’s not being easy when he feels like no one knows Simon and only the Ice King.
The Lich is despressed cause his existence is meaningless now. He is the bringer of extinction and there’s nothing to end now. He won. Even if he killed the three hee be back to having absolute victory and being without purpose, without meaning. I think it’s the least surprising to me cause if my purpose was rendered meaningless by my own hand… What’s the point?
Prismo is a special case in that it’s more he clearly doesn’t have anyone. Prismo isn’t really allowed to fulfill his own wants and by trying to do so it did cause problems for him but technically completely separate fro why he’s depressed. Also I think the wish is in character as Prismo is a tad bit snarky and mischievous, he describes his wishes as trick wishes himself. The Jake thing is more Prismo like really liked Jake and broke rules for him. It’s more so Prismo wouldn’t have been so blasé about the wish but he’s sorta in a rut since his dog crush died.
I think it perfectly shows that each character reacts a different way to being stuck in their lives that are supposed to be wonderful now and how it affects others who believe that they are happy.

what makes minedai even sadder is that we never rlly see daigo try to build a bond with anyone else like he did with mine it rlly shows how badly it effected him like yeah he reached out to shinada in y5 but that’s rlly it and he probably would wanna leave him alone after that and not involve him in any yakuza stuff so i don’t think they would’ve hung out or anything like that afterwards. All he rlly had were saejima and majima but they were more like babysitters than anything, wish we saw more of their dynamic tho like we did with majima and daigo in dead souls since that was fun and we were lowkey robbed but in canon he’s just as lonely as he was before majimas promise to kiryu. And mine is the only person he really had a meaningful relationship with romantic or not they were still really close and we don’t see that again with daigo ever (from what i recall after y3) ok sorry for rambling LMFAO
even with shinada, he reached out to him more so out of 'duty' and trying to make up for the misfortune that befell him because of yakuza than wanting to rekindle any kind of friendship they might have had in high school (though it sounds more like they were just acquaintances if shinada needing a second to remember who daigo was is anything), so yah i doubt they really had any kind of bond afterwards
dead souls really was the only time after Y3 where we got to see daigo be more sociable with someone, but its as you say majima and saejima are more like retainers than close friends

listen. the damien moreau vibes are very fun, nicholae schiller is very cute, but I want to talk about how much he cares about his father.
how laszlo schiller will turn the television back on to keep watching sports while nicholae's taking an important call and nicholae just gives him a look about it that speaks of exasperation and nothing more. how nicholae takes advice from his father, with a grain of salt, yes, but internalises it all the same, which I didn't really see until darkfinch pointed it out. how we don't see any true cruelty or resentment in this relationship at all, which compared with the absolutely toxic petrov patriarch situation is kind of stunning all by itself.
(nicholae makes a "when will he die" type comment once to his second in command/secretary, who offers to take care of it without any real weight to it - like he knows it's not a real wish, like it's the kind of petty comment that won't leave that room, that stays between friends.)
and then nicholae's dad gets rushed to hospital with a heart attack. and immediately, desperately, nicholae's priority is to be by his side, because his father can't stand hospitals, because he needs to see that nicholae's there. when laszlo does wake, back at home hooked up to beeping machines with someone in scrubs in the background, nicholae sends the medical person away immediately to get water (maybe just to leave laszlo's line of sight) and just… reassures him. stays there for him.
...…do you ever watch something in a story that feels so private it feels wrong to comment on it? because by this point we've seen the numbers tattooed on laszlo's arm several times. by this point we've seen someone call nicholae romani as an insult. and we've seen laszlo worried about his son, about his new business associate, about whether she's working against him, and we see laszlo here now scared and trying to warn him about it -
and when it's clear to nicholae that his father is jumping at shadows (at the horrors in his past that are all too real) he takes a moment to visibly collect himself then is just so kind about it. so gentle. switches to english like it's easier to lie that way and reassures his father that he'll see to it, that it's okay. and he does. and it is.
(always, inescapably, this is a character who murders, who works with monsters, who sells guns and hard drugs, who isn't above coercing someone into working for him. I know this post might get read by people who haven't seen the show; I don't want to mislead them.)
when I say I love this character I mean (among other things, admittedly) that there is so much humanity to him. and this relationship is such a surprising and real example of that.
