So I(25M) met this girl (16F) on an evil island a while back while fighting to free twelve innocent children from the hands of a monster who was kept under her dad's palace in a huge labyrinth. She helped me beat the monster and I offered to take her far away from her crazy dad and dead monster brother. So I let her on the boat on the way back to my kingdom, but she was like. Really annoying. Asking all these questions and stuff and I suddenly realized she was in love with me and wanted to marry me but like she's seventeen years old and I'm not some weirdo tutor like the ones your mom always warns you about who likes young people, so I was like "girl stop" and the girl would not stop or take no for an answer so we got to an island to restock on like food and stuff and spend the night. And I left her there. But she was seriously driving me insane with her refusal to take no for an answer. Like she was a literal child.

Odysseus cried every morning of his 7 year stay with Calypso. He sobbed on he beach for 2555 days in a row. Do you know how much of a commitment that is?

And do you know how MANLY Odysseus is? The man who was a soldier for ten years, killing for his family. The man who fought giants. The man with muscles so impressive the author had to describe his ‘boxers build’ and ‘rippling thighs’ constantly? The man who easily strung a bow with a 300 pound draw weight, then shot it perfectly? And then proceeded to easily slaughter 100+ grown men?
