I don't say things in agreement with pro-contact ideology because I don't agree with it. I wouldn't say this makes my wording strange, just honest - when I'm asked for my opinion, I give it and allow those with other opinions to answer too.

I don’t agree with pro-contact ideology because I’m not pro-contact myself, but I have no issue with interactions from them because I want this space to be usable for almost anyone.

Me disagreeing with someone doesn’t mean I don’t support them as a person - I think we need to abolish the idea that disagreeing with someone’s opinion = not supporting them as a person. I’m very supportive of people thinking more about morality and ethics, I just don’t support the conclusions many pro-contact people have reached.

However, I’m also aware that pro-contact is a flexible term used to mean many different things and that anyone of any contact stance can cause harm, so I try not to make assumptions.

Hello, this is my first post. I have hesitated for far too long to write or do anything other than lurk in the shadows. I’m scared of being known, to let people see who I am. But I’m even more scared of being forgotten, if I write, there might be a chance for someone to find these words even if it is long after I’m dead.

So hello, I’m Avis. I identify as aroace and use any pronouns. I enjoy watching Hermitcraft (and associated content) and building in Minecraft. I enjoy writing thousands of words about video game theories, usually Hoyoverse games as I like the world building of Genshin and the possibilities of Star Rail. I enjoy listening to The Magnus Protocol and have already listened to The Magnus Archives. I enjoy all sorts of mythologies and study Greek Literature in my free time. I have been waiting for Silksong for so long, lol, and can’t wait for the release of Hades II (I know it is in pre-release).

"(Y/N) huh? Name's got an odd ring to it." Ace said crossing his arms. "I'm not anyone's hench-human Grim, but it's nice to meet you." (Y/N) said with a short bow. "So tell me Ace, is that Lion with the scar on its eye a famous ruler too?" Grim asked pointing to the Lion statue. Ace nods, "of course!" He said and began to explain the Lion and all the other statues to the unusual duo. "Pretty cool, huh? Not like some piddling weasel." (Y/N), who had been silent during the explanation set a hand on Grim and glared at Ace, "what was that?" They asked him as they reached back, putting a hand on one of their two larger swords.

Ace began to laugh at the two, "I can't hold it back anymore!" He said wiping a fake tear from his eye. "Come on, you're the ones who tired orientation into such a fiasco, right? The one summoned by the Dark Mirror who can't even use magic, and the monster no one summoned at all. It took everything I had in my to not burst out laughing in the middle of the ceremony!" Grim growled, "hey! You don't gotta be a jerk about it!" Ace smirked, "so in the end, neither of you got admitted and now you're bodyguards? That's so lame!" He said, still laughing at them.

"Say it again Ace." The demon slayer said taking Grim off their shoulder and taking out their two large swords, designed after their pops. "Oh what? You gonna hurt me? You're both so clueless you don't even know who the Great Seven are. Not a single one! Maybe before you try getting into the academy again, you take a second crack at kindergarten?" He said in a childlike mocking voice to Grim before he burst out laughing again. Grim scowled and began to puff up, (Y/N) put their arm in front of him, "calm down Grim, let me handle this." They said but Ace just decided he needed to keep talking.

"I just thought I'd tease you two a bit, I'm glad I did. It's been a blast! Unlike you, I actually have classes to get to so I'll let you get back to "guarding" the school. Bye!" He began to walk away and (Y/N) once again attempted to get grim to calm down. Too late. He puffed up again and shot fire at the ginger. Ace deflected it with some sort of wind; and just like that they stared a full fight. (Y/N) began to notice the students starting to crowd around the three of them. "Not good," they mumbled to themself while watching the two. They needed to stop it before something bad happened.

But they couldn't, the next thing they knew they saw one of Grim's blue fireballs shooting towards one of the statues. "No!" They yelled running in front of it and attempting to deflect the blow, but it's not a breathing technique, so they got hit. (Y/N) was sent backwards, their back slamming into the stone. They yelled out in pain and anger as they felt the new throbbing from their chest and back. "Shit," Ace said seeing the enby on the ground. "This is your fault for trying to divert it! You shoulda just let it burn you to a crisp!" Grim said running over to (Y/N). "Who in their right mind would ever do that?!" Ace yelled while trying to look for a way out of the situation he was in.

Grim rubbed up against (Y/N)'s leg, "I'm sorry (Y/N) he said quietly." "What is going on here?!" A voice yelled, the three looked over to see Crowley, "oh no! The headmage!" Ace said knowing he was in for it now. Both he and Grim were wrapped up in Crowley's Lash of Love, "the likes of you will never flee from me! Did I not just warn you "no more incidents" now you've gone and injured our bodyguard. That means I'll have to pay for the medical bills...unless Crewel takes care of them." Crowley shook his head, "it's almost as though you want to be expelled!" He said with a glare. "No! Forgive me!" Ace yelled in anguish. "This will not do. And you! State your name and grade." He said looking at Ace.

"Ace Trappola... Freshman." Ace said in defeat, "then listen well, Trappola. You too Grim, as punishment for today's infractions; you are nearby ordered to wash a hundred windows!" Crowley said in a stern tone, the boys looked at him in shock. "You will meet in the cafeteria after classes, are we clear?" "Yes sir." Ace said and looked to (Y/N), "well what about them?" Crowley let the boy and the monster go, "(Y/N) will be tended to by Professior Crewel, they will be overseeing your punishment later." He said as he picked (Y/N) up, "now, off to class Trappola."

my color theory on byler and mlvn

i made this color theory a couple months ago when i wasn't on tumblr so its been lying around. so imma share it

its kinda long so beware i guess?

i have two ways of imagining this theory so that it includes more possibilities. for reference i imagine the main trio's individual colors as

mike-blue (for obvious reasons) will-yellow (for obvious reasons) el-purple (bcoz purple flowers)

and just for understanding, max-red (i picture her as a flame and a flame for me is red)

according to this color scheme,

mike + el = just a bluer purple or navy blue

there is nothing new we get out of it. its repetitive and they dont mix together all that well. its JUST a mixture of them as people.

also, its interesting that el = mike + max according to the color scheme.

the only people el has interacted with (just not on a surface level interaction but actually made an impression on her) who also her age are: mike and max. this just shows she's still picking up on things around her and is still just trying to be her own person.

also note that the result is the same for both additive color mixing and subtractive color mixing.

symbolism of navy blue: trust, stability, reliability last season proved that el has been lying to mike and vice versa. they are both lying to each other even though it was introduced by mike(in the show) that friends dont lie. their relationship is not stable at this point. el is not happy that mike is unable to say ily to her and while that issue is solved at the end of the season, we are shown that el is still not talking to mike. that doesnt sound exactly stable and reliable even though that's what the symbolism tells us. you wanna know WHY?

because el and mike aren't showing their true colors! (sorry, not sorry lol) not to each other at least.

and onto byler:

subtractive color mixing: mike + will = green

as compared to mlvn, we see that mike and will together make something new, something fresh.

green symbolizes growth, new beginnings, safety mike and will confide in each other. they do that coz they are best friends. they feel safe with each other. it also accounts for character growth in both of them. will realizing that, yes, he can have good things, he does deserve what he wants and for mike, he deserves someone who loves him unconditionally, is at an equal level as him and that he too can actually have what he wants. it also give both the characters new beginnings. i could go on and on but for the sake of not extending this post longer than it has to be,

additive color mixing: mike + will = white

white symbolizes purity, innocence, loyalty purity directly counters the fact that lgbt people were said to be unpure and carriers of AIDS during the 80s. this shows how love cannot be impure. love is the best thing this world can offer. they are just innocent kids who have been through too much, just experiencing young love.

all of this is also applicable in the context of friendship as their deep friendship is the root of the romance.

and this next part is for the people who say they think of el as red instead of purple, making mike, will and el all primary colors as they are the primary components of the story.

as mike found el while trying to find will who went missing due to some events, which are byproducts of el's actions. it all comes full circle to the 3 of them. i am not saying will went missing because of el, but you've gotta admit that el does come into the loop a little.

so

subtractive color mixing: mike + el = purple

purple symbolizes royalty and luxury. most people want to be royals, but the dealbreaker is:

conformity

people dont want to be restricted by always having to follow some restrictions all the time. mike also has to follow the restrictions from liking boys. he is forced to like el. forced by whom? himself. for him, it should be a luxury to be able to date el, a superhero, an amazing, kind-hearted girl, he has expressed this.

additive color mixing: mike + el = magenta (ignore the fact this is pink)

magenta symbolizes balance and harmony. there has been no evidence in the show itself that they balance each other out or are in harmony. it shows that mike sees el on a pedestal (you are a superhero) and they have not had more than two happy moments in one season alone when they started dating. you see, they were just fine when they were friends. the trouble started when they started dating.

also note the fact that byler works both for friends (as we have seen in the show) and romantic (as they probably will end) but mlvn as shown in the show for romance does not work out (s3 and s4), but as friends they can actually bond well and be friends (s1) as for s2, el probably finds the entire thing romantic but i dont think mike tries as much and just wants her back as he considered her as his friend (he does not move at all, either towards or away from el, when she tries to kiss him before going to close the gate with hopper).

also note that magenta and purple are both a bit similar to look at while there is obviously a huge difference between green and white.

to make it easy, i quote garnet from steven universe: i am more than the two of them together or something. i dont remember it exactly but this is the general idea.
