Octivanelle with a S/O who loves exploring!

Azul Ashengrotto

Azul learned rather quickly after you had disappeared many times before this incident that you liked to explore Twisted Wonderland as it was a new world to you after all. However what concerned him was then you wouldn’t give him any warning before going on your little excursions. When you come back to him with your uniform ripped, skin scuffed, and hair a mess you best expect him to worry over you before becoming clingy as you recount to him your stories.

Azul was cleaning the cut you had gotten on your cheek as you told him of your latest journey. “Oh yeah! While exploring this time I found this weird secret society!” You say to him excitedly causing your boyfriend to pause and look at you in bewilderment. “I’m sorry, you what?” You only giggle in response and shrug before giving him a kiss on the forehead. “Thanks for cleaning me up again bubs.” Azul looks away in embarrassment as you notice his cheeks tint blue.

Jade Leech

Let’s be honest, Jade would likely be going with you for every exploration you go on. However in this case let’s say you disappeared without him being able to join you on your excursion this time. When you return from these rare trips that he doesn’t go on with you he makes sure to get you a decent meal and allows you to shower in Octavinelle’s dorm, let’s be honest you’re wearing his clothes which are absolutely too big for you as you tell him of your journey while eating.

You sit across from your boyfriend as you eat the mushroom risotto that he had made for you while you showered and cleaned yourself up. “Oh yeah! I found a weird secret society in these tunnels I was exploring.” You tell him with a smile, “they gave me some ingredients they use for cooking, they’re in my bag you can have them!” Jade simply smiles looking at you lovingly as you explain.

Floyd Leech

Floyd unlike his twin isnt going on these adventures with you, however he will provide you with shoes as they are one of his special interests. When you return to him you best expect a very clingy eel to be attached to you. Whining about how you left him again and that you’re mean.

“Shrimpyyyyyy!!” Floyd yelled as you opened Ramshackle’s door, he tackled you to the floor squeezing you tightly. “Floyd have you been here the whole time?” You asked as Grim sat on Floyd’s head, “he’s been complaining the whole time!” He grumbled crossing his arms. You giggle and pat Floyd’s head, “well if you make me some lunch I’ll tell you about the secret society I found.” You bribed to make your boyfriend let you go.

It takes a lot of work to make sure Riddle doesn’t go mad and take everyone’s heads again while trying to keep the first years out of trouble. So when Cater showed him a video on Magicam of you and your first year friends going diving off a cliff let’s just say he had a small heart attack. 🩷

An Accident?!

After a while playtime was over for the little gremlins. (Y/N) sighed before clapping their hands together twice, "alright kiddos, Mr. Trein says it's time for lunch!" They said with a smile, "everyone line up at the sink so we can wash our hands and then eat!" The kids smiled, quickly running over to the sink in the countertop. (Y/N) walked over and helped them all wash their hands while singing the ABCs song.

Once every kid has their hands washed they all lined up at the door as (Y/N) and Trein grabbed their lunchboxes from the mini fridge. "To the lunchroom. Show Mx. (Y/N) where it is." Trein said to the kids, Sebek looked at (Y/N) with a small glare before suddenly grabbing their hand. "I'll lead you to the lunchroom human!" He said, being the caboose had its perks for the little half-fae. (Y/N) smiled, "thank you so much bud." They said as Ace began to lead everyone to the lunchroom.

The lunchroom was a decent size for a daycare, there were many kids that (Y/N) thought were interesting. Sebek tugged on their hand leading them over to a table. "Woah! Okay bud." They said following him and letting him sit down. "Mx. (Y/N)! This is Waka-Sama!" He said pointing at a young boy with horns on his head, he looked much older than Sebek. Maybe a middle schooler? "It's lovely to meet you Mx. (Y/N), my name is Malleus Dracona." The boy said, the enby smiled, "hello Malleus, Sebek I'll be back okay? I have to help Mr. Trein hand out the lunchboxes." They said handing the young boy his lunchbox before going around and helping the Trein hand out the other lunchboxes.

Once all of them were handed out, (Y/N) went back over to Sebek. "Hey bud I'm back." They said bending to his height. "Mx. (Y/N)! Sit down with us!" He yelled pointing to the seat next to a boy who looked a few years older than Sebek, "Sit next to Silver!" He said with a smile. (Y/N) nods and sits down, "it's nice to meet you all." They said looking at the group of three.

TIMESKIP

Lunch came and went rather quickly, after lunch the kids line up at the door, an attendant walked over and clapped his hands. "Stay pups! Single file line as we go outside." He said before leading them all out of the lunchroom and onto the playground outside. (Y/N) followed with a smile, wondering how their kids would play with the older kids.

The attendant from before, rather attractive with dual colored hair, half buzzed on one side and the other looked almost like a bob from a certain angle. Oh boy those eyes though. (Y/N) shook their head to rid the thoughts they were having before going up to the attendant. "Hello there, my name is (Y/N) (L/N), the new hire here." They said with a soft smile. The attendant looked over and nodded "Divus Crewel, a pleasure, I hope the pups haven't been causing you any trouble yet? You will be helping me tomorrow."

(Y/N) shook their head, "no no, they aren't causing any trouble, one small fight but I have a plan to fix the issue the kiddos had." Crewel nods at their words, "good."

After a bit of the kids playing outside the bell rang signaling them to all line up to be taken inside. It was then that (Y/N) noticed a certain duo for the class they were helping was gone. Going over to Trein they tapped his shoulder, "Ace and Deuce seem to be missing from the group, would you like me to look for them?" They asked him, the male nods, "that would be much appreciated thank you." (Y/N) nods and leaves the group to search for the little troublemakers.

Luckily, it didn't take long to find them, hiding together and giggling inside of the spinny slide. "Ace, Deuce, it's time to go inside." (Y/N) said to the duo, "NO!" Ace yelled, "I don't wanna go back inside! Nuh uh!" Deuce looked to the redhead with furrowed brows, "but we have to, it's the rules." He mumbled, Ace just stuck his tongue out at his friend and slid down the slide to run away. "Ace!" (Y/N) yelled in worry as they watched the boy begin to run away before he tripped over the short plastic barrier surrounding the play area. Ace began to cry as he held his knee, Deuce scurried out of the slide and ran towards his friend with (Y/N). The adult knelt down to the child's height, "let me see it bud," they said softly and inhaled though their teeth seeing the injury on the boy.

"Alright kiddo, I'm going to pick you up okay? I'll carry you inside so Mr. Trein can help you get patched up." They said before gently picking up the crying child (haha crying child) and carrying them inside like they said they would. Walking to the classroom with Deuce holding onto the back of their shirt. Upon entering, all eyes were on them, the kids quickly began to crowd around the small group. "Children enough, it's map time please go lay down." Trein said as he walked over to (Y/N).

The kids quickly dispersed themselves into their nap area, grabbing blankets and pillows before making themselves comfortable. Meanwhile Trein helped (Y/N) take care of ascend scraped knee's, Deuce adamant in staying by his friend's side before he would lay down for a nap. Trein didn't want to use any magic to heal the knee's because of his parents not wanting magic to be used on Ace without them present. Ace told both caretakers he was okay before he and deuce weee allowed to lay down with the other kids.

Play Time!!

"Mx. (Y/n)!" Jack said, his little fluffy tail wagging behind him happily, "it's your turn!" (Y/n)'a eyes widened in 'shock' "oh is it? I completely forgot that I have to have a turn too! You all are just so cool!" That got a giggle out of the kids and they smiled. "Well as you all know, my name is (Y/n) (L/n), I'd say my favorite thing to do is snuggle with my kitty Grim." They said, Epel's eyes widen in amazement, "you have a kitty Mx. (Y/n)?!" The Enby nods with a smile, "maybe if you're all really good, when I come back here in two days then I'll bring him in for a visit okay?" The kids all nodded happily and they clapped their hands together.

"Alright then, I'd say it's play time!" The kiddos jumped up happily and Epel went over to (Y/n). The Enby crouched down to his height, "what's up bud?" They asked with a grin, Epel fiddled with his sleeves before looking up at them, "will you play trucks with Me and Jack?" He asked, "awe, of course I will!" They said standing and ruffling up his lilac locks, Epel smiled and too their hand, leading them over to a corner of the room where Jack was waiting, his tail swaying anxiously. Then the small beastman looked up seeing the caretaker his tail sped up and he grinned. Epel sat down and patted the spot next to him for (Y/n) to do the same.

After sitting the two boys showed (Y/n) everything in the little bin of cars, they'd even gotten permission from Mr. Trein to use some books so they could make a 'ramp' (Y/n) clapped at their achievement and patted them both of the head. Their eyes widening slightly when Jack leaned in for more headpats. A small chuckle came from them and they lightly scratched behind his fluffy ear, "alright you two, I'm gonna go check on the other kids, then I'll be back alright?" Both of them pouted but begrudgingly agreed. (Y/n) got up from the floor and left them to their trucks.

(Y/n) looked around the room to see who they could check up on and their eyes landed on the little robot. They walked over to him and crouched down, "hey there Ortho, what are you doing here?" They asked, Ortho looked up and his digital eyes brightened, if it wasn't for the mask on his face he'd probably be smiling. "Hi Mx. (Y/n)!" Ortho said happily, "I'm drawling a picture of big brother and me! Look look! We're playing video games here, and over here it's us hugging, oh and here is Idia, me, and you all together!" He said pointing to each part in his 'drawling' "awe, Ortho that's so sweet, I'm sure he'll love it." (Y/n) said and ruffled his blue hair, taking a mental note that it wasn't actually fire. "Alright bud, I'm gonna go check on the other okay?" "Kay!" He said and continued with his art.

(Y/n)'s ears perked up on something they really didn't want to hear, especally not on their first day. "No! You gotta play with the wand yesterday! s' not fair!" "Is too! I got here first fair and square!" Oh boy, the Enby walked over to the two kids who were fighting. Who were these two again? Base and Juice? No..oh! Ace and Deuce! "Hey kiddos, what are we fighting about here? I don't think we should be fighting with our friends shoudl we?" They asked in a lightly stern tone. Both young boys looked down "no..." they both said and pouted. Deuce's head then shot up as he pointed at Ace. "S' not fair though! He got to play with the wand yesterday, and the day before!" (Y/N) hummed in thought and nodded. "Alrighty, let me see what I can do okay?" They asked and stood up, "Ace can I see the wand please?" They asked holding out their hand. Ace frowned and slowly gave them the wand. "Thank you bud, I'll be right back okay?" They said and left the two boys, for now they moved on to check on Sebek. Keeping an eye on the two just incase.

Sebek seemed to be scribbling all over a piece of paper. "Sebek? What are you doing kiddo?" (Y/N) asked as they looked at what he was doing. Sebek looked up at them and covered his paper, "I'm making my armor human! Come back later!" He yelled at them, (Y/N) raised their hands in surrender with a small smile, "alright alright, just let me know if you need help alright?" They said and left, going over to Trein. "These kids sure are something, you think I could take this home?" They asked holding up the want they took from Ace and Deuce.

Trein simply nods, "yes, you may. These kids are definitely a handful at times, luckily they calm down during lunch or nap time. Then after nap, we'll be going outside." He explained, setting Lucien down on the floor, the cat walked over to (Y/N) and brushed against their legs. The enby smiles and bends down to pet him. "Good to know," they said picking up the cat and looking at the kids. Luckily taking the wand from the red blue duo seemed to be the best option as they were now happily playing together. They sighed in relief and looked to the other kids. A soft smile on their face.

Day One? Done and Done!

As the the soft music from Trein's computer played (Y/N) let out a quiet sigh of relief as they watched each kid slowly fall asleep. Ortho putting himself in charging mode after seeing everyone else asleep. They looked over to Trein with a small smile, "is it always this hectic?" They asked, Trein exhaled through his nose with a knowledgeable nod. "Yes, though that is how the youngest room usually is. You should be getting a bit of a break tomorrow with Crewel's room." (Y/N) nods at this information. "Thank you, is there anything I can do while they nap?"

Trein gave them a small job of refilling the kid's water bottles outside in the hall at the fountain and they were doing just that, holding Deuce's clear blue water bottle under the tap when they felt someone pull on the bottom of their shirt. They moved the bottle away from the water and looked behind them as they put the lid on it to see a familiar looking boy with Silver hair and lilac eyes. "Oh hello there, Silver right?" They asked bending down slightly to his height. The small boy nods while rubbing his eye, "is there something I can help you with bud?" Silver nods again and points to the water fountain.

Turning to the fountain (Y/N) realizes and nods, "was I in your way? Sorry about that!" They said as they stepped to the side allowing him to get a drink before he gave them a gap toothed smile and waved before going back to where (Y/N) assumed was Crewel's room. (Y/N) finished filling the water bottles before going back into Trein's room, "I'm back." They said quietly as to not wake up the sleeping kids. Trein nods and motions for them to put the bottles back at the kid's tables. "After nap time we'll have arts and crafts as parents and guardians come to pick them up."

(Y/N) nods "alright, what's the project they'll be doing?" They asked tilting their head slightly. "A Halloween project." Trein said and explained how using two marbles with some white paint in a pencil box with a black cut out of a person they can make mummies. "Awe that sounds so cute." (Y/N) said as they and Trein began to cut out the outlines for later. Making sure there was a few with small points where the ears would be and a few with different animal shaped ears on the top of the head for a bit of diversity.

Around thirty minutes after the two adults had finished the cut outs, the kids began to wake up, Ortho being the first as he had an internal clock that he had set for him to wake up. (Y/N) clapped their hands together and warned the kids to close their eyes before they turned on the light. "Alright it's time for Art! Let's sit down at our tables as Mr. Trein goes around and gives you a cut out." They said, the kids all answer in their own ways before sitting down as Trein goes around allowing the kids to choose what outline they want to use.

Once they all had an outline, (Y/N) demonstrated what the art project was going to be, "so you take your outline," they said holding up a cut out of a person with cat-like ears on top of the head. "And put it in the box, then Mr. Trein or I will come and put the paint marbles in the box with it, then you shake it up!" They said as they shook the box watching the kids all smile at the motion. "And when you open it, it's a mummy!" They said with a grin showing the kids their new mummified cat person.

As they did their projects, one by one parents and guardians came to pick them up. Epel, Jack, Deuce, Ortho, Ace, the only one left was Sebek. (Y/N)'s brows furrowed and they knelt down to him, "who's picking you up today bud?" They asked, Sebek looked to them and puffed out his chest, "my grandpa!" He said with a sharp-toothed grin, "he's so cool Mx. (Y/N)! He was a gen gen..." he paused, "Mr Trein what's the word again?" He asked looking to the older male. "General," Trein said as he was packing up his papers and other things for the day. "Yeah a genital!" Sebek said turning back to (Y/N), their eyes widen slightly as they snort, "general," they correct him lightly. "That's what I said, Genital!" Sebek said and began to " march " around the room with a grin on his face.

(Y/N) smiled, 'at least he's happy,' they thought to themself as they watched him. Soon enough a knock was heard and the door opened. "Grandpa!" Sebek yelled before running over and hugging the male who walked in, (Y/N) could see the resemblance between the two. "Hi there, I'm (Y/N), the newest helper here at the daycare." They said introducing themself to the male, "Baul, nice to meet you." He said shaking their hand, "you ready to go little soldier?" He asked looking to Sebek. The boy nods and takes his hand, "bye Mx. (Y/N)!" He said before leaving.

(Y/N) sighed as they sat in their car, turning on their Bluetooth and going to their favorite song before driving out of the parking lot. Feeling like they deserved something after the day, they drove though the TwstDonnalds and got some food before finally driving home. After exiting and locking their car they walked up to their door and unlocked it, "Grim I'm home!" They said calling to their familiar.

Claws on wood could be heard as the cat ran through the house and to the human, "you were gone forever!" The cat yelled as he flew up to their face, his blue eyes staring into their own (e/c) ones. "I'm sorry, but you get to come with tomorrow." They said as they are a fry. "I do?!" He yelled now excitedly grabbing for their TwstDonnalds bag. "Yes, you do, and stop that or you won't get any!" They said raising the bag and going to the counter.

Together the two ate before (Y/N) took a shower and snuggled into their bed with the cat. Hugging him close to them with a smile as they closed their eyes and fell asleep.

Chapter 1) Welcome to Twisted Wonderland

Yuu hummed to themself as they walked through the Wild Area with Agent at their side. "It's getting late bud, should we set up camp?" They asked their partner, "Teleon." He responded with a nod, they smile and look around to find a good camping spot. Finding a nice flat, grassy spot they take off their backpack and begin to set up their camp for the night. "Right, I'll text Bede that we're gonna stay here for the night and then we can have curry!" They said with a smile before whipping out their phone and texting their brother.

Yuu: Heyyyyyyyyyy 😋 Agent and I are gonna camp in the Wild Area 2night! We'll be back at the gym sometime tomorrow afternoon!

Teen Angst: Okay, I'll let Grandma know. Stay safe.

Yuu: B, I'm the champion, there's like no way I won't be safe. See you tomorrowww!

Yuu put their phone into their pocket with a smile, "Agent you got the pot out for Curry right?" They asked their partner as they finished setting up the inside of their tent. "Intel," he replied in confirmation. "Great!" They said with a smile and exited the text, "sorry that we can't let Cinder and the others out tonight." They said patting his arm. Agent just shook his head and set a hand on his trainer's own head before ruffling their hair making them laugh.

It wasn't long after the two had their curry that they decided to call it a night and entered the tent. "Goodnight Agent," Yuu said to the water type with a sleepy smile. They slowly closed their eyes and fell into a deep slumber.

Opening their eyes they looked around in confusion, it was still dark out, but Yuu could tell they weren't in their tent anymore. "What the?" They mumbled reaching their hands out in front of them to meet with a hard surface, their brows furrowed and they felt around themself more. They were in some sort of box, and were not in their pajamas anymore, "did someone change my clothes?" They asked themself before quieting as they heard shuffling from outside the box, then a voice.

"I better hurry up and find that uniform before someone spots me...urggg this kid weighs a ton!" The mysterious voice spoke, Yuu's eyes widened as they felt something beginning to tug at the box they were inside of. "Try this on for size! Mya-ha!" And suddenly there were blue flames at their feet. "Fire!" They yelled quickly trying to step out of the way of the burning flames but having nowhere to move. The door to the box fell off and Yuu quickly jumped from inside and looked around panicked. "Arcus, where am I?" They asked aloud as they spotted several coffins floating around the room with a mirror in the center. "Coffins? Is that what I was inside of?"

"Mya-haha! Now to grab the goods! Wha?! You ain't supposed to be awake!" The voice yelled and Yuu looked down their eyes widening in shock, "a talking Meowth? With fire? Am I in a new region?" They asked, "how..how DARE YOU! I am no "Meowth"! I'm Grim, sorcerer extraordinaire! Tch. Whatever...you, human! Give me your uniform, and be quick about it! Cause if you don't....you're gonna regret it!" The grey Meowth yelled at them, Yuu reached for Agent's pokeball and their eyes widened they had more than Agent's on their belt. "How?" They mumbled before deciding that it wasn't worth it and quickly ran away from the Fire-Type Meowth.

Yuu ran through the building they were in, down a hallway, out the door into an outdoor area, and into a magical looking library. They quickly looked around "where am I?" They asked again, "if this is a dream, I'd really like to fucking wake up." They were interrupted by the Meowth somehow catching up, "foolish human! Did you really think you could slip away from ME?" It yelled at them, "now, unless you wanna get burned to a crisp, take off that-" before Yuu could  even grab Agent's pokeball the cat yelped as it was whipped and wrapped up in bindings. "Consider it tough love." A new voice said as Yuu saw a tall man sporting a Corvinight-esque mask.

"Ah, I've found you at last." The male said with a frown, "splendid, I trust you're one of this year's new students? My, were you ever eager to make your debut. And bringing a poorly trained familiar with you? That is a clear violation of the school's rules." He stated crossing his arms much to Yuu's confusion. "Student? Familiar? That's not one of my Pokémon." They tried to explain before the Meowth spoke up, "as if I'd serve some lowly human! Now lemme go!" The Corvinight male simply nodded as if he was playing along, "yes, yes. Rebellious familiars always say that. Do be quiet for a bit, won't you?" He asked as his whip(?) tightened around the feline causing it to struggle and writhe in pain.

Before Yuu could ask the male to let the Meowth go he spoke again, "dear me. Of all the students I've dealt with, you're the first with temerity enough to open their own gate and step out of it. Does the very notion of patience elude you?" He wouldn't let Yuu speak as he continued, "no matter. Your orientation had already begun. Let us return to the Mirror Chamber." He said with a smile, with Yuu finally being able to speak they had about a million questions but left it to only two, "student? Gate? Sir, what are you talking about?" They asked, well, three questions. The male paused looking at them, "you awakened in a room full of gates, did you not? All of the students here at the campus arrived by passing through such gates. Although typically the students have restraint enough to wait until I open them before waking up."

"The coffins all around that room? Well, you can blame the Meowth for me being awake." Yuu said crossing their arms with a small glare sent at the feline. The Corvinight male frowned, "so the culprit is this familiar of yours. You're the one who insisted on bringing it, so curtailing its behavior is your responsibility!" "It's not mi-" he again interrupted them, "but now is not the time for such prattle. You've a student orientation to attend! Go on, now. Make haste." He ushered them forward, pushing on their back to try getting them to move.

Yuu refused to budge and looked him dead in the eyes, "no! First you have to tell me where I am and who you are!" They said putting their foot down on this. The male seemed concerned, "have you not fully regained consciousness?" He asked, Yuu felt their eye twitch in anger "you think I'm not after this Meowth tried to scorch me?!" The male ignored them as he continued to speak to himself, "the time space teleportation must have addled your memories... Well, these things happen, I suppose. I shall explain it all to you while we walk. Truly, my magnanimity is boundless." He said with a smug smile.

The male, now known to Yuu as Dire Crowley, explained to them that they are the headmage of the school that they are apparently at now. Yuu had to calm themself and real themself in. 'I'm not in Galar anymore, and not in any other region that I know of. This, this is another world.' They took a deep breath after coming to this realization, it was rare in Galar, but they must have fallen though an Ultra Wormhole and ended up here. Yuu ended up tuning out Crowley until they realized that the two of them were now back in the room with coffins....

"Well this is partially your responsibility you know! So help me catch the furball! The useless bodyguard here can't use magic so that means it's up to me and you!"  And just like that, the two boys began to chase after Grim.

Now

The two boys managed to chase the monster cat into the Cafeteria. Ace groaned trying to catch the quick cat in his arms, "argh! Stop jumping around like that!" He yelled as Grim avoided him, "heh heh heh! Catch me if you can!" Grim yelled back as he avoided the ginger again. Deuce glared at Grim, "no fair climbing onto the chandelier, you coward!" He yelled at the cat, "I haven't really learned flight magic yet. . . What could I summon to hold onto him...? Hmmm... Oh! That's it!" He yelled suddenly getting an idea.

"Did you come up with somethi- Oi, hey! Stop! What are you doing?! Why are you pointing your pen at the bodyguard?!" Ace yelled, "because I'm going to launch them." Deuce said, (Y/n)'s eyes widen, "what?! No way in hell will this end well! Don't use your magic on me!" They yelled as they began to rise into the air, "seriously, do not launch them! Abort! ABORT!!" Ace yelled at Deuce remembering the punishment he tried to avoid after he had injured the bodyguard.

Deuce shook his head, "just make sure to grab him tight. I've got him in my sights, and... Go!" He yelled before throwing (Y/n) at the chandelier. Grim yells in surprise as (Y/n) reaches out to grab the cat before they end up being thrown into the fragile light figure. The two of them fall to the floor and (Y/n) hisses as they land on their back, holding Grim to their chest. Ace coughs as dust from the debris fill the air. "I cannot believe you just did that!" He yelled at Deuce.

Grim groaned in (Y/n)'s arms, "oh right! I probably should have come up with a way to soften your landing after you caught him..." Deuce said looking at the demon slayer on the ground. "You complete and total moron! We got Grim, but we hurt the bodyguard and broke the chandelier! If the headmage finds out about this—" Ace was interrupted by Crowley appearing, "if I find out about what, dear Ace?" He asked crossing his arms with a glare.

Ace's eyes widen seeing the bird man, "ah! Headmage Crowley!" "YOU. THREE. AGAIN. What have you done this time?!" Crowley yelled at the three teens and the monster cat. Grim groans as he lays on (Y/n)'s chest. "Myaaah... Everything's spinning..." Crowley's widen seeing his bodyguard on the ground with the broken chandelier, "first you attempt to burn them alive, that wasn't enough for you? Now you've injured them again and destroyed a chandelier?! Enough. All of you are expelled." Crowley said as he carefully helped (Y/n) off the ground and using his magic to hold Grim.

Ace and Deuce looked at him in shock, "what?!" They asked in surprise, "headmage, please! Give me a second chance! I can't get expelled from this school! I need to be here!" Deuce said to Crowley, "then blame yourself for your own foolish behavior." The headmage said, "I'll pay for the damages and for the bodyguard's medical bills! However much it costs!" He said in response, clearly desperate to stay in the school, Crowley shook his head.

"That chandelier is no mere light fixture. It is a magical chandelier. Its candles are powered by a magical energy source, enchanted so that they will burn for eternity. It was created for us by a legendary artificer. Possibly their finest creation. It has been here since the school was established, and I imagined it would be here forevermore. Considering its historical value, I would estimate its worth to be no less than a billion thaumarks. And you intend to repay that sum? Not only that but our bodyguard isn't from our world so they can't be while with minor magic, Professor Crewel is the one who helped heal them earlier." He stated glaring at the boys.

"A... A billion marks?!" Deuce asked in surprise and horror. "B-but I'm sure with your magical talent, sir you could snap your fingers and fix it right up!" Ace said trying to help out his dorm mate. "Even magic has its limits. Furthermore, its magestone — the figurative heart of any magical artifact — is cracked. A magestone cannot easily be replaced. I fear the candles of this majestic chandelier will never burn again." He said in fake remorse. (Y/n) groaned quietly in pain.

"This is bad..." Ace said looking to Deuce, "what am I going to do?! How am I going to tell my mother...?" Deuce said sadly, Crowley hummed in thought and then got an idea. "Ah! But there may be one way. One tiny sliver of a chance to repair this chandelier." Both the teens looked at him, "there is?!" They asked and Crowley nods, "the magestone that powered this chandelier was mined from the Dwarfs' Mine. If you can acquire a magestone with the same properties, it may be possible to repair it." He said with another nod as he gently rubbed (Y/n)'s back.

"Then I'll go find a magestone!" Deuce said, "with your permission, sir!" Crowley looked at him, "I should caution you that I cannot promise 5$343 yet remain magestones to find. The mines were closed quite some time ago. It is quite likely that all of the magestones have already been mined." Deuce nods with a determined look, "I will do anything to avoid expulsion, sir!" Crowley nods, "well then. I will suspend your expulsion for a single night. But if you fail to return with a magestone by morning, then all of you are expelled. Well, besides the bodyguard."

"I understand sir. Thank you very much for this opportunity!" Deuce said and Ace sighs, "fine then. Let's hurry down there, find a magestone, and get this whole thing done with." Crowley wraps an arm around (Y/n) as they lean on him. "You should be able to reach the Dwarfs' Mine instantly by using one of the gates in the Mirror Chamber."

After (Y/n) was taken care of by Crewel again, but to the adults anger at Crowley. They, Ace, Deuce, and Grim all stood in the Mirror Champer after they had volunteered to help the boys with their punishment. "Man, how did I end up in this mess? I swear, I have the worst luck." Ace said rubbing the nape of his neck. "We don't have time to complain. Let's go," Deuce said before turning to the mirror. "Dark Mirror! Take us to the Dwarfs' Mine!" The mirror lights up and the three of them enter one of the coffins to be transported to the Dwarfs' Mine.

NOW. . .

Opening their eyes the two students and one Demon Slayer were treated by a forest, a dirt path leading to a seemingly abandoned cottage. (Y/N) hummed crossing their arms, 'this is exactly the type of environment that demons would thrive in. . .' They thought to themself before hearing Deuce speak up, "so this is the Dwarfs' Mine. . . Long ago, this mine was flush with magestones." He said skeptically looking through the trees. Grim groaned, his ears flattening to his head as he spoke. "Urgh. . .Who knows what lurks in there now?"

Ace smiled, "who cares, we have the body guard with three swords with us! Look, I can see a house. Let's see what the people there have to say." (Y/N) shook their head, "it looks abandoned, I doubt anyone lives here." They said as the group approached, the Slayer leading with a hand on the blade at their waist. Opening the door Deuce called out into the dusty building, "hellooo? Is anyone home. . .? Must be empty. It looks like it's been abandoned." He frowned as (Y/N) relaxed slightly, "I told you." They said crossing their arms.

"Bwah! I got a spider web on my face!" Grim yelled before spitting and stuffing to get the spider web off his fur. "Hey, look how tiny these desks and chairs are. Did children live here?" Ace asked as he ran a hand across the back of one of the short wooden chairs. He began to count how many there were before his eyes widened, "seven?! It's like a clown car in here." Deuce hummed, "when the mine was flourishing, this house must have been a lively place."

"Well, this isn't getting us anywhere. If we're gonna find a magestone, it'll be inside the mine. Let's head inside and take a look." Ace said making (Y/N) nod and begin leading their group down the path ahead to a cave-like entrance. "This must be the mine entrance." They stated unsheathing their sword, Grim looked on in shock. "You wanna go inside there? It's pitch black!" Ace smirked at the cat, "what are you scared of the dark kitty? Pretty pathetic."

"Ace." (Y/N) stated as a warning, sending the red-head a glare as Grim boasted that he wasn't scared of anything. "I'm taking the lead! You all follow me!" He declared boldly. "Not happening Grim." (Y/N) said before once again leading the boys into the cave. It was dark, but from the light outside the humans were able to see colorful stones lodged in the walls of the caves. "Hold up!" Deuce said causing (Y/N) to stop in their tracks and turn to him. "What now?" Ace asked sending a glare to his dorm mate. "There's something there!" Deuce stated pointing ahead.

(Y/N) looked to where Deuce had pointed and to their surprise, he was right. There were ghosts wearing cloaks similar to the one that Franky (one of the ramshackle ghosts that (Y/N) named) had given them to wear today. They had politely declined and chose to hang it in their closet instead. One of the ghosts laughed, "visitors! The first we've had in ten years!" The second ghost agreed, "do make yourselves at home. . .You can stay forever!"

(Y/N) glared at the ghosts, their grip on their sword tightening as they inhaled slowly. "Flame Breathing, Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun." They said before slashing at the ghosts in an upward vertical motion causing the group to see a line of flames scorching across the ghosts causing them to shriek and vanish from sight. Ace looked at (Y/N) in shock, "what was that?!" He yelled at them, "calm down. We don't have much time, they are likely to come back. We need to continue down the mine if the two of you don't wish to be expelled." They said before turning to the back of the tunnel hearing a voice.

". . .iiivvv. . .  . . .oooouuu. . ." (Y/N)'s eyes widened, "quiet, there's something in here." They said making all three males look at them in shock. "Wh-what do you mean?" He asked before the voice spoke again, ". . .neeevvvaaa. . .  . . .iiivvv. . .  . . .ooouuu. . ." Deuce froze, "y-you guys heard that right? It sound like. . .It's close. . ." (Y/N) stood protectively in front of the students as stomping echoed through the walls. "Stooonesss. . . Stooonesss aaare miiiiine!" The voice yelled as a monster-esque being stomped into view.

"Demon." (Y/N) said with a glare, "you!" They yelled looking to the teens behind them, "get out of here quick!" The males all yelled in shock and quickly began to run away, (Y/N) quickly tried to distract it before running after them. Using their Flame Breathing in attempt to try and keep it away from their group. Deuce seemed to come to the conclusion he couldn't let (Y/N) do this alone and began to fire spells at the monster as they attacked it with their Flame Breathing. "I refuse to be expelled!" He yelled in defiance.

2) Crowley, Never Meet My Grandma.

Chapter 2) Ramshackle Dorm

PREVIOUSLY

The male, now known to Yuu as Dire Crowley, explained to them that they are the headmage of the school that they are apparently at now. Yuu had to calm themself and real themself in. 'I'm not in Galar anymore, and not in any other region that I know of. This, this is another world.' They took a deep breath after coming to this realization, it was rare in Galar, but they must have fallen though an Ultra Wormhole and ended up here. Yuu ended up tuning out Crowley until they realized that the two of them were now back in the room with coffins....

NOW...

Yuu silently looked around, there were other people now, several of them speaking to groups gathered in front of them. Yuu flinched back slightly when Crowley suddenly yelled making their presences known. "I most certainly did not!" He yelled making Yuu confused, 'not what?' They asked themself as a red head crossed his arms looking at Crowley, "speak of the devil." Crowley gave a small glare to the boy, "if you must know, I was searching for the new student who failed to show for orientation. You are the only one who had yet to be assigned a dorm. Step up to the Dark Mirror, and be quick about it. I'll watch your weasel." He said to Yuu giving them a slight push towards the mirror.

Yuu just sighed knowing Crowley wouldn't listen to them, 'he reminds me of Rose.' They thought to themself with distain as they walked up to the mirror. "State your name." It spoke, Yuu's eyes widened before shaking their head. "My name is Yuu." They said to the mirror, "Yuu. . . The nature of your soul is. . ." The mirror was silent for several minutes before speaking again, "unclear to me." "What did you just say?" Crowley asked crossing his arms, "I sense no magical power from this one, aside from the capsules at their disposal. Soundless. Colorless. Shapeless. Utterly vacant. Therefore, no form would be appropriate.

Chaos began to ensue in the mirror chamber as the students began to whisper to one another. "Magicless?" "How are they here then?" "Did the Dark Mirror get it wrong?" Crowley tried to intervene but the Meowth had other ideas, finally getting out of Crowley's grasp and yelling. "ME! Let ME have this worthless human's seat!" It yelled in defiance, Crowley scowled "not so fast, you hyperactive weasel!" The Meowth smirked, "unlike that worthless human, I can actually use magic! So let me be a student here! Look, I'll show you! My spells are the cat's meow!"

Yuu's eyes widen as they and the red head from before yelled "Everyone, get down!" At the same time, the Meowth let out strings of fire from his mouth across the room. The students began to panic as the flames began to spread, one student with red eyes yelled out that his butt was on fire, Yuu quickly grabbed a pokeball at their side. Crowley yelled for someone to catch the rampaging Meowth.

As two students ran after Grim, Yuu grabbed another pokeball and threw the two spheres into the air "Agent use Snipe Shot, Mimi use Phantom Force!" They said as the dark blue bipedal lizard and the rag doll-esque creature emerged from white light and begin to follow their trainer's orders. Agent making a finger gun and shooting streams of water onto the blue flames around the room, making sure to douse the fire on the red eyed student's butt. Mimi using a dark shadowy hand from under the costume and attacking the Meowth to stop it in its tracks.

The Meowth struggled unable to move as the red head pointed his pen at it "Off With Your Head!" He yelled as red magic came from the writing utensil hitting Meowth a black and red heart shaped collar appeared on his neck. "MYAH?! What are you doing?!" The Meowth asked as it tried to pull off the collar. Yuu walked over patting Mimi on her stuffed head. "Great job girl," they said before picking up the Mimikyu. "Agent nice job, come back." The lizard obediently walked over to Yuu, "Inteleon." He said with a smile as they gave him head scritches. 

"Yuu!" Crowley declared staring at them, "was I not clear that you are expected to take responsibility for your familiar! Now discipline yo-" Yuu interrupted him this time, "it's not mine!" They yelled with a glare, "my Pokemon know better than to lash out unreasonably. I can try to catch the Meowth, but I don't even know if I have any empty pokeballs. Arceus I just want to go home..." they mumbled to themself. Crowley cleared his throat and decided to send the Meowth off campus.

Yuu glared at Crowley as they held Mimi in their arms, the bird didn't seem to notice as he sent all the students away. Turning to Yuu he spoke with a soft smile, "well Yuu, this is a most unfortunate turn of events. I'm afraid that you will not be attending Night Raven College after all. Dudley you realize that I cannot very well admit a student with no magical ability into my academy. But worry not! The Dark Mirror will see you safely home. Now, step into a gate, and visualize the place from whence you came."

Yuu sighed, returning Agent to his pokeball and stepped into one of the coffins. Closing their eyes they thought of their home region, Galar, spending time with their twin brother, being betrayed by ex-chairman Rose, being adopted by Grandma Opal... "Oh Dark Mirror!" Crowley called out, "return this soul to where it belongs!" The Dark Mirror was silent, Crowley awkwardly cleared his throat and spoke again. "Oh Dark Mirror! Return this soul-" the mirror interrupted him, "there is no such place." Yuu frowned, "I thought so. . ." They said sadly as they stepped out of the coffin.

Crowley turned back to Yuu, "what do you mean?" He asked the trainer, "I'm from another world, I came to this conclusion earlier. . . In my world there's a lot of research on other worlds and different universes. Though that's mainly researched in Alola, I must have fallen though an Ultra Wormhole and ended up here." Crowley looked at the crestfallen child and asked if they had any identification on them. Yuu hummed, "I think..." they set Mimi on their head and felt around their pockets. "Oh, my Rotom Phone! Ro can you help us?" They asked as their phone flew out of a pocket in the robes they wore.

Hovering in front of the two the phone attempted to turn on. "Ah, great, looks like I can only access my pokedex and pokebox. I can't even contact my brother." They said now holding the device in their hand. Crowley set a hand on their shoulder, "I can't allow you to attempt the academy, but I cannot allow you roam the streets. There is a vacant building on campus that you may stay in! I am so kind and generous, with a little cleaning it would be more than habitable for you and your creatures. . . How many more creatures do you own?" He asked as he began to lead Yuu outside of the school and down a path. Yuu just smirked, "I have well over thirty." They said crossing their arms.

"Are you shitting me right now Crowley?" They asked looking at the decrepit building in front of the two of them. "Kyu," the creature on their head said in agreement, Crowley chuckled nervously. "Isn't it delightful? Right then, scoot inside now. There you go." Upon entering the building they were greeted with dust in the air, cobwebs hanging just about anywhere you can think of, broken furniture, and holes in places you don't want. "Don't let me catch you wandering around the campus! Farewell!" Crowley said before quickly making his own retreat.

Yuu sighed in annoyance and took out Agent's pokeball again, letting him out as they set Mimi on the broken couch. "Alright you two, let me see who else I have with me, we'll be staying here for a bit. We need to clean this place up." They said as they took out the other pokeballs on their belt. "Hm, well, better than nothing." Throwing the pokeballs into the air "come on out everyone!" White light shines as the four other pokemon were released.

Four pokemon looked around confused, speaking their name or a version of their name. "Hattrem" "Tox" "Pon?" "Snom." Yuu smiled sadly, "hey everyone, we're kinda stuck here in a different world and this is where we'll have to stay for a while. Let's make the best of this and clean up as much as we can." They said trying to encourage their team.

The group of seven began to clean up the entry way, living room, and a bedroom upstairs as much as they could before it began to rain outside. It began to leak and Yuu returned most of their current team to their pokeballs to avoid them getting wet, leaving out Agent, Mimi, and Snom. It wasn't long before the stowaway Meowth snuck in and their small group had to deal with the ghost problem and Crowley entered with food.

The male was angry at first, declaring that the Meowth wasn't supposed to be on campus. Yuu explained the story of what happened as Agent took the supper that Crowley had brought for Yuu. With a bit of convincing Crowley decided that Yuu and Grim would officially have to work to earn their living situation as janitors of the academy. Yuu had to fight every urge inside of them to not wring the males neck, instead allowing Agent to fire a Snipe Shot at his face to get him to leave.

After supper was ate, yuu left to the bedroom they and their Pokemon cleaned up, opening the closet they were greeted by their usual attire they wore while traveling. They smiled taking off the robe they had been wearing and hung it inside before releasing their pokemon once more. "Sorry it's not much guys, but it's what we have for now." They said picking up Grumpy and hugging him close. "Let's get some sleep."

"(Y/N) will be tended to by Professior Crewel, they will be overseeing your punishment later." He said as he picked (Y/N) up, "now, off to class Trappola."

Now

"Again I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience (Y/N)" Crowley said as he walked with the Demon Slayer though the school 'oh, I'm sure you are.' (Y/N) thought to themself. Crowley continued to ramble on as (Y/N) tuned him out. Eventually the bird man stopped in front of a door and (Y/N) bumped into his back. Crowley knocked on the door before opening it "crewel, I have a Stu- er, the new bodyguard of the school! They need some medical attention. Thank you and goodbye!" He said before moving (Y/N) into the room and leaving.

(Y/n) blinked in annoyance. "Okay, if he were in my world, he'd be dead in a week." They stated crossing their arms. Before looking around the room their eyes landing on a male with black and white colored hair. "Are you Crewel?" They asked as the male looked them up and down. "Yes that is me, now Crowley said that you were injured, I can help with that but first, your attire... where did you get it, the coat is rather stylish." He said as (Y/N) began to remove their haiori and their shirt to the uniform. Hissing in pain as they felt their chest rubbing against the material. "It's the Demon Slayer Corps uniform, and the Haiori is from my dad..."

Crewel nods as he looks over their injures, "I see, well luckily these injures aren't too serious." He said at he grabbed a pen off his desk, the gem a nice purple color. "Hold still," he instructed as the gem began to glow as they felt their injures slowly begin to heal, their eyes widen as they look down seeing the burns on their chest fading away and only leaving scars behind. "Woah, that's different." They mumbled, Crewel nods and puts the pen away. "You are clear to go now, I recommend not pushing yourself to do too much exercise for now. Just rest for the day and you'll be fine." He said as they put their uniform top and haiori back on. "Thank you." They said and left the room.

(Y/N) stood in the Cafeteria with Grim as they waited for Trappola to show up for his and Grim's punishment. Grim groaned, "I'm already exhausted from a full day of guardin' the school. I can't believe I still gotta wash a hundred windows!" He complained, (Y/N) rolled their eyes, "well, just stuck it up and do it, try and learn from this experience." They said as they sat on top of one of the wooden tables. "What's buggin' me is, Ace ain't even here yet! To make us wait, after what he did..." he growled putting his paws on his hips. (Y/n) was silent, as was Grim after he said that, staring at them.

The two of them sat there and waited for forty-five minutes before Grim crossed his arms. "And now he's super late! I bet he up and bailed on us!" He yelled as (Y/n) stood, "you mean bailed on you and that's possible, let's go look for him." They said with a small stretch. "Ain't no way I'm doin' he's punishment for him! C'mon (Y/n)! I don't care if we gotta drag him kickin' and screamin', he's washin' those windows!" He said pumping his paw into the air.

The two of them began to explore around the school looking for the missing boy. Getting a hint from a talking painting saying that he saw a ginger with a heart on his eye going towards his dorm. This sent Grim into a frenzy as he looked to (Y/n), "let's go after him!" He demanded and tan off, thus causing (Y/n) to have to chase after him.

Elsewhere in the Hall of Mirrors, Ace rolled his eyes as he talked to himself, "yeah right, like I'm gonna wash a hundred windows. I'm just gonna go back and—" before he could even finish his sentence Grim interrupted as he barged into the hall, "Aha! Gocha punk!" He yelled as he began to chase Ace, "stop right there pal! No fair gettin' a head start! Wait!" Ace ignored the cat and ran to the Heartslabyul mirror. But just as he was about to enter it he ran right into a boy with blue hair. "Please, stop him. He's trying to get out of his cleaning punishment." (Y/n) said from across the hall.

"You want me to cast a spell to stop him? Like, freeze his legs? Or bind them with a rope? Or maybe I could... Hmm... no.." the boy said in a semi surprised panic, "I don't care how! Just do something!" Grim yelled at him, "anything!" The boy's eyes widened "anything?! Anything huh... All right! Here goes anything! I Somme thee...something heavy!" He yelled pointing his pen at Ace and suddenly a cauldron appeared out of nowhere and landed on top of Ace. "Owwww!" The ginger complained as he struggled to get out from under the cauldron, "what are you bothering me for? You guys coulda just banged out the work yourself!" He said as he got up and dusted himself off, "it was not my punishment to do." (Y/n) stated blankly, they were frankly annoyed by the boy.

"You have to was a hundred windows as punishment? What the heck did you do?" The boy asked Ace "I was just screwing with that fireball as little. ...And the "bodyguard" for the school got a little burnt. Sue me." Ace said crossing his arms and looking to the side, "you injured another person?! No wonder he flew off the handle at you! After you managed to get into this school, how could you get in trouble on the very first day?!" "Oh shut up. Who are you anyway?"

"My name is Deuce, Deuce Spade. Don't you remember your own classmate?" Deuce asked raising a brow, "you don't remember my name either, do you?" Ace asked, "that's not the point! You shouldn't try to get out of an order from the headmage!" Deuce said as he looked at Ace, "yeah yeah, message received... Fine, let's hang out the windows already. Wait..."

(Y/n) rose a brow looking at him, "what?" They asked, Ace's eyes widened, "the furball! He's gone!" "What?!" (Y/n) asked now looking around, their eye twitched in annoyance not seeing the deamonske cat anywhere in the hall. "Oh that little..." Grim on the other hand was laughing to himself as he was just outside of the hall, "I'll let you two handle the rest! See ya, suckers!" He yelled, "you caught me so you could run away yourself?!" Ace asked, "hey you! Uhh.. Juice?" Deuce looked at him, "my name isn't "juice." It's Deuce! With a D!" He said annunciating the D in his name. "Well this is partially your responsibility you know! So help me catch the furball! The useless bodyguard here can't use magic so that means it's up to me and you!" And just like that, the two boys began to chase after Grim.
